Parvati Patil

Ron was wandering the corridors looking for his best mate, Harry Potter. The first task in the Triwizard Tournament ended a couple days ago and Ron had been given a harsh wake-up call about the dangers of the tournament and needed to find Harry to make amends with him. Due to not having any luck in finding Harry anywhere inside the castle, Ron walked outside to look for Harry somewhere. Ron was in the woods close to Hogsmeade when he spotted Harry sitting on a bench while chatting with an indian girl. Ron recognized the girl as Parvati Patil, who was a fourth year Gryffindor while her twin sister, Padma, was in Ravenclaw.

"Harry mate, I've been looking for you!" Ron blurted out, walking up to the raven-haired boy.

"Now you come crawling back to me when you could done that before the first task?" asked Harry in a no-nonsense voice.

"And what makes you think that Harry will just forgive you so easily, Ron?" asked Parvati.

"Being Harry's first-ever friend." said Ron.

"That's actually Hagrid, Ron," said Harry. "How do I know that your apology attempt is going to be sincere?"

"Because." Ron claimed.

"That reminds me," Harry suddenly blurted out, while Parvati was smirking. "It's time Parv and I take you to Hogsmeade. If I remember right, you have a date with a special someone."

"So come with us, Ron." said Parvati, beckoning him to follow her and Harry.

Ron nodded his head in an uneasy manner as he followed Harry and Parvati over to Hogsmeade. The youngest male Weasley remembered Harry telling him once that he'd get him a date for Hogsmeade and this was a Hogsmeade weekend. Ron found himself unable to ask who it was because Harry also told him that it would be a surprise. As soon as they reached the village square, Harry and Parvati stopped right in front of a familiar Slytherin girl (she had brown chin-length hair, dressed in an outfit consisting of the Slytherin house colours, and was rather bulky), making Ron gulp nervously with realization that Harry and Parvati set him up on a date with Millicent Bulstrode. Ron recognized Millicent due to seeing her at the sorting ceremony in their first year and especially how Gryffindor and Slytherins often shared classes despite their centuries-long ongoing rivalry.

'Harry wouldn't do this, would he?'thought Ron, just as Millicent flashed a smile at him.

"Wow! Looks like Harry and Parvati really pulled through!" Millicent responded in an ecstatic voice.

"Uh, hi-i-i-i-i-i?" Ron exclaimed, as a blush formed on his face.

"Hi? That's all you can think of, Ronnie?!" Millicent replied. "Harry and Parvati told me the other day how you were llooking for a date and they thought I was a suitable candidate."

"But..." Ron began saying, but then...

"No buts, Ron," said Millicent, holding a finger up to his lips (much to his shock). "Let's go to Honeydukes first."

Millicent grabbed one of Ron's hands and dragged him behind her as she led him over to the sweet shop. Ron was eyeing Harry and Parvati with confused looks, but Harry and Parvati just smirked as they waved to Ron as if to tell him to enjoy his time with Millicent. Then Harry and Parvati walked back into the woods to continue having their alone time.

Later that evening (about fifteen minutes before dinner), Harry and Parvati were chatting with Hermione and Neville when they heard the entrance door open up. The four spotted Ron walking in all stiff and wide-eyed. Upon spotting Harry on the couch, Ron sent him a glare even though the raven-haired boy was smirking.

"You are evil, Harry." said Ron in a halfhearted voice.

"So I take it you got Millicent as your date for the Yule Ball, too?" asked Harry.

"Yes, I did," Ron responded while nodding his head, as he felt his body shivering. "Millie even took me shopping."

Hermione laughed some, then she turned her attention to Harry and, rather curiously, asked, "How is it that you know Millicent so well, Harry?"

"We went to the same primary school," Harry explained in a voice only loud enough for the five of them to hear, much to the surprise of Ron, Hermione, Neville and Parvati. "She even revealed herself as a half-blood. One day we were out on the playground for recess, in which my cousin and his gang beat Millicent and I up five-on-two so violently it left Millicent to be hospitalized while I was confined to the cupboard under the stairs."

"That's just... awful!" Hermione responded, putting a hand over her mouth in sheer horror (with Ron, Neville and Parvati reacting the same way).

"Millicent also lives close to Privet Drive." said Harry. He turned to Hermione and informed her, "She also wishes to apologize to you for what happened at the Dueling Club second year, since she had been bullied before we all started Hogwarts. She ended up getting the flash back when she had you pinned to the wall and stopped before she went too far."

Hermione nodded in understanding and it made the five Gryffindors realize that evil people don't always come from Slytherin House (something Harry, Ron, and Hermione knew because Peter Pettigrew, the one who really betrayed Harry's parents to the darkest wizard of the century, was a Gryffindor). Ron sat down next to Harry and put an arm around his shoulders.

"Don't worry, Harry," assured Ron. "I actually enjoy Millicent's company and I'll treat her right."

Harry, Neville, Hermione and Parvati smiled at Ron's maturity. All too soon, dinnertime was approaching, so they all left Gryffindor Tower and headed for the Great Hall.

(Fifteen Years Later)

A knock at the front door was heard at the house Ron and Millicent were living in. A four-year-old girl was seen running to the front door, climbed up onto a nearby stool, and pulled a curtain back to spot some guests for dinner outside the window. The girl began bouncing off the walls when she saw that the visitors were Neville and Hermione Longbottom, and Harry and Parvati Potter.

"MUMMY! DADDY! UNCLE HARRY, UNCLE NEVILLE, AUNT HERMIONE, AND AUNT PARVATI ARE HEAR!" the girl screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Molly Anne Weasley!" Millicent scolded her daughter. "You need to calm down. Did your father give you too much candy again?"

The girl named Molly gulped nervously, just as Ron felt his arms trembling in fear as he was reading a copy of the Daily Prophet. Millicent turned her attention over to the newspaper hiding Ron's guilt-ridden expression, folded her arms across her chest and cleared her throat loudly. Ron slowly lowered the newspaper to find his wife glaring at him.

"So you did give Molly too much candy, again?!" asked Millicent in a no-nonsense voice.

"Sorry, Millie dear!" Ron apologized, rather sheepishly.

"How many times must I tell you that Molly goes hyper when given too much sugar?" Millicent scolded her husband.

"Sorry, dear!" Ron apologized again.

Then Millicent gestured for her husband to answer the door since she was cooking dinner and needed to get back to preparing the food. In spite of Ron's tendency to forget about their daughter's sugar rush when given too much, they still had a wonderful marriage (as shown by the grin on her face). She hated to think what could've happened if Harry and Parvati didn't set them up on that date in Hogsmeade years ago. All was working out well.

The End!

Author's note 1: I'd like to give a shoutout to the user 'lonewolf 83' for suggesting that Harry and the girl he's paired with set Ron up on a date and have them eventually marry with a daughter named Molly Anne Weasley as a happily ever after.

Author's note 2: Another one-shot completed, and one that had a happy ending. Which girl should Harry be paired with in the next one-shot? Please let me know in a review or a PM. As always, ideas are greatly appreciated, happy reading!
