Nymphadora Tonks

It was the day after Harry's unjust court hearing just for using underage magic to save himself and his cousin, Dudley, from the dementors. Even though he was rightfully cleared of charges, Harry was still mad at the smaller number of Wizengamot members who wanted to have him unjustly convicted. He was sitting in his room to avoid having to deal with Ron and Hermione, since they didn't write to him before the dementor attack. Sirius still wrote to him and that was something, but he was unable to do much because he was still an unjustly-declared fugitive. Harry didn't want to talk to Molly because she treated him like a child even though he had to grow up faster than the average kid. Plus, the Weasley matriarch was so overbearing that Harry knew trying to talk to her about his problems wouldn't have done any good. Ginny was also out of the picture because she was always the ultimate fangirl of the Boy-Who-Lived, and her constantly wanting to be closer to him while persistently staring at him was rather creepy to Harry. Fred and George did write to Harry sometime before the dementor attack, so they were still in his good graces. The twins knew they owed Harry big for him donating his Triwizard Tournament prize money to them as an investment to their future joke shop: Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Harry checked his watch and saw that it was 10:30 AM.

'If Ron, Hermione, and Ginny are more concerned with listening to the ole coot,' thought Harry. 'They can just forget about interacting with me again, same with mrs. Weasley, since she wants to help Dumbldore with 'keeping me in line,' but no more. I'm done being a pawn in whatever Dumbledore has planned for me, since he keeps just about everyone else informed of all this information while keeping me in the damn dark. I'm not gonna let anybody dictate my life anymore.'

Harry decided to wait until it was lunchtime before leaving, that way everybody in on Dumbledore's unspecified plan wouldn't get suspicious. After all, it was his life and nobody had any right to interfere with it. One thing Harry did plan was to go to Gringotts to see if his parents left a will. They had to, since otherwise Sirius wouldn't have been named Harry's godfather and legal guardian. Harry even had a sneaky suspicion that Dumbledore made false promises to Sirius about getting him a trial but never had any true intentions to do that and instead come up with excuses. At 11:00 AM on the dot, Harry heard the all-too-familiar hollering of Molly's voice revealing that it was now lunchtime. After the sounds of the footsteps got quieter, Harry smoothly opened his bedroom door and started tiptoing his way downstairs and over to the front door. Harry would look behind him every few paces to ensure that the coast was clear. Luckily it was, so he continued on. He was fifteen feet from the front door when he heard someone.

"Wotcher, Harry!" responded the voice belonging to Tonks.

Harry turned back around and spotted Nymphadora Tonks (or simply Tonks) standing right behind him with a smirk on her face, with her shoulder-length brown hair turning purple. Harry had a confused expression on his face, wondering what Tonks was doing, but found himself unable to say anything or ask what she may have been up to.

"Where are you going, Harry?" Tonks responded again. "You haven't had anything to eat."

"That's because I want to get as far away from the negative influences of Dumbledore, Mrs. Weasley, Ron, Hermione and Ginny," Harry explained. "Since they enjoy keeping me in the dark in regards to many things involving me and yet, they get to have it all. I've been thinking that Dumbledore wants me to be as miserable as possible, with Mrs. Weasley, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny doing the same. I've decided I have no more intentions of being a pawn in whatever they have planned for me. They have no right to run my life."

"You're right, Harry. It's highly unfair that you have to have alot of burden on your shoulders." said Tonks, politely grabbing Harry's shoulders and leading him back upstairs. "I have an idea. We'll just floo over to my flat while everyone is eating. I'll write a note to Sirius explaining our absence and put it under his pillow."

Harry nodded his head in understanding and approval as a smile formed on his face, happy to actually distance himself from the ones he thought were trustworthy but were actually stabbing him the back. After getting the note for Sirius written and placed under his bed pillow, Tonks helped get Harry's stuff packed and led him over to a fireplace on the second floor. She even explained to Harry that Sirius gave her permission to use it whenever needed and that nobody could enter through that one. Tonks activated the floo network and gave Harry some floo powder before telling him the destination: Tonks' flat. Harry took his glasses off and pocketed them before tossing his handful of the powder in the emerald-green flames and shouting out his destination. After a minute of spinning around in the flames, Harry fell forward into some kind of living room. When he got back onto his feet, Harry moved out of the way so Tonks wouldn't accidentally be thrown at him. As soon as she stepped out of the flames, the floo network deactivated and Tonks showed Harry over to the guest room. When Harry got his stuff set up, he returned to the living room to find Tonks sitting on a sofa, with a coffee table in front of it. There were even a couple armchairs and even a tv, which was rather strange to Harry.

"I'm familiar with muggle culture, Harry," Tonks explained. "My mother may be a pure-blood, but my father is a muggle-born. He taught my mother and eventually me how to adapt to muggle culture. We can watch a movie if you wish. We can even have some popcorn and/or ice cream, and maybe even some soda pop."

"What movie will we watch?" asked Harry, clearly intrigued by Tonks' idea.

"You can decide, Harry." said Tonks.

Harry smiled at the offers (since he also saw that as an opportunity to get to know Tonks better), just as Tonks got up and walked over to the kitchen. Not knowing yet what movie he wanted to pick, Harry told Tonks he'd help her in making up a batch of popcorn. After the popcorn finished popping, Tonks added a charm to keep it warm and fresh just as Harry was dishing up some vanilla-flavoured ice cream (which was charmed to stay cold) and poured a couple glasses of classic cola. Then Harry and Tonks returned to the living room and set athe popcorn, ice cream, and cola on the coffee table. Harry found a movie he thought he and Tonks would enjoy and put the tape into the VCR. As soon as the movie started playing, Harry sat back down on the sofa and began bonding with Tonks.

The End!

Author's note: I'll leave it up to you to decide which movie Harry and Tonks decided to watch. I'll also leave it up to you to decide how Dumbledore, Molly, Ron, Hermione and Ginny will react to find Harry not anywhere in Grimmauld Place; and how Sirius will react (even though he will be smiling in approval inwardly and rooting for his godson).
