Chapter 51 A true Cause
Dojo flew the others to the Metal clan hoping to get there before Kuvira did.
"So when we get there and Kuvira shows up what are you planning to do?" Jinora asked.
"Hope to talk her down and leave Suyin's home since it was once her home." Sean said.
"I don't think she's someone who can just be talked down to." Ikki said.
"Not by people like Raiko and Wu since they would just demand it. I'm asking her not to do what she's about to do. She might listen out of respect." Sean said.
"And that if that fails?" Jinora asked.
"Korra will have to handle it." Sean said making her nod.
"I see it. Zaofu." Meelo said.
"Finally." Sean said before they cleared the mountains before seeing Kuvira's army.
"And a bunch of other people are here too." Meelo said.
"Damnit. We didn't make it in time." Sean said.
"Lets hope we're not too late." Korra said.
Soon the five made it to Suyin's office.
"Sean? Korra? What are you two doing here?" Suyin asked surprised.
"My mother sent me a vision last night about Kuvira attacking and she was right. We're here to help stop her." Sean said.
"How? Sean you can't fight right now. You're connection is still broken." Suyin said.
"Doesn't mean I can't try to do something to stop her." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Varrick was on Kuvira's train in his lab with a film recorder.
"Zhu-Li, is this thing on?" Varrick asked.
"We're rolling, sir." Zhu-Li said.
"Okay, I'm Varrick of Varrick industries international, and this is spirit vine experiment 3-02 of which we retrieved from Republic City without Raiko's knowledge since In Kruger's words he's an idiot. Hand me the thing." Varrick said getting her to hand him one of the spirit vines in a capsule before putting it into a machine.
"In this stasis Capsule is a preserved spirit vine sample weighing approximately two Zhu-Lis." Varrick said before turning on the machine. I have postulated that these spirit vines are a form of pure energy that's unstable in what we call typical earth conditions." Varrick said as the capsule glowed purple. "This machine should transfer the energy from the vine into a battery using electrical currents, reverse magnetic polarity, and a little-known phenomenon I call the Varri-effect." Varrick said seeing the results.
"It's working. It's registering five Varricks of power...Now seven Varricks." Varrick said before things started to get out of control with way too much power.
"WHOA. What is this? Whats going on?" Varrick asked. (you might as well have created a nuke you insane madman!)
Thats when Purple lightning shot out at them making them scream as it went wild.
"Zhu-Li shut it down! There are too many Varricks." Varrick said before a beam of pure energy shot out at the back of the train hitting the mountain.
Inside Suyin's office the whole place shook.
"WHA! Now where the hell did that come from?" Sean asked.
"That was no earthquake thats for sure." Suyin said.
"Whatever it was I'm sure Varrick is to blame since anything out of nowhere is usually his doing." Sean said. (so true)
Inside the train Zhu-li was on top of Varrick before she saw their position and chuckled sheepishly.
"My bad." Zhu-Li said before Kuvira and Baatar rushed in.
"Varrick what the hell did you do this time? This whole place shook up" Kuvira said.
"Hey I didn't do that on purpose. I was just testing the spirit vines like you told me and then that happened and nearly killed me. But don't worry. I'm putting the Kibosh on this project." Varrick said shutting the capsules down.
"I don't think so. Do you even remotely realize what we can do with this kind of power?" Kuvira asked.
"Yes, I do. And thats why we've got to out an end to it. What if it fell into the wrong hands? Like the Devil himself? We've already seen what he's done to the other gods what happens if he gets his hands on this?" Varrick said making her raise an eyebrow at that.
"Ok I'm not gonna lie that is a good point considering whats happened the last 10,000 years. However at the same time we may need a weapon like this to use against him if he ever shows up. Kruger is still recovering because of Zaheer and nearly screwing us all over. If he isn't in fighting condition when he shows up this is our next best option." Kuvira said.
"She's right. Kruger might finally be able to hold his weapons again but using them is another story." Baatar said.
"No way. I just really got to stand my ground on this one. Thats what the voice in my head is telling me." Varrick said before the metal on his shoulders went to his neck lifting him up. "HEY WHAT THE!"
"Now there's a voice in my head telling me to drop you from a really high and dangerous height. Should I listen?" Kuvira asked holding him up outside at a high height. (Ah now this is funny seeing him nearly get killed)
"NO! NO! Head voices are liars. What do head voices know? I'll work on the project. Please don't drop me!" Varrick said before the threw him back inside. (HAHAHAHAHA!)
"Good." Kuvira said.
Meanwhile
Asami was inside a prison with some unopened letters before someone was brought it.
It was her Father Hiroshi who had aged a lot in the last five years.
"Asami, you came." Hiroshi said sitting down.
"I'm here to return these." Asami said pushing them forward.
"You never opened them." Hiroshi said.
"Why would I? I told you when you were sent away that I never wanted any contact with you ever again. Stop writing me. I wanna move forward with my life. Mako and I are getting married in a couple months and I don't want this getting in the way." Asami said.
"Asami please..." Hiroshi said.
"No...Listen to me. You worked for Amon who was proven to be a complete lie about what he was and who he was. Blamed Sean for something he was never responsible for. Even the gods admitted he had nothing to do with what happened to them and he still wanted him dead. Every person he hurt you hurt. Didn't matter if they were guilty or innocent. And if he had succeeded all of us would be dead because you hated him for something that he wasn't responsible for." Asami said glaring at him making him sigh.
"I know...And not a day goes by where I don't regret my actions. I was just so angry that it blinded me to listen to everything he said without even actually thinking it through. And when I saw what was happening to the world when Kruger was killed because of Zaheer...I realized my actions could have doomed everyone if they had succeeded. I have to live with that every day now." Hiroshi said.
"Doesn't make it any better." Asami said about to leave.
"Please, Just let me say one thing, then I'll never contact you again." Hiroshi said making her sit back down. "I can't forgive myself for all the horrible things I did. The war I started and those who were greatly hurt by my weapons. And I don't expect you to forgive me. I tore our family apart and destroyed our good name. But in a life of regret, You're the one thing I look back on that makes me smile." Hiroshi said making her look down. "I just want you to know I'm so proud of you, Asami. You are the greatest thing I ever created." Hiroshi said as tears ran down her eyes before she left.
Meanwhile
Sean stood next to Suyin as they were outside the estate where Suyin had taught Korra to Earth Bend during her pregnancy with the girls.
"How in the hell did things get so bad between you and Kuvira? I thought she was your very prized protege?" Sean said.
"She was more than that. She was like a daughter to me. I took her in when she was eight years old and nourished her talents. Kuvira was smart, a natural leader like your father during his time before you were born. She quickly rose through the ranks. I saw myself in her." Suyin said.
"So what happened you have some kind of falling out? Cause there seem to be some issues between you two?" Sean said.
"In a manner of speaking bur not the way you're probably thinking. Shortly after you and Korra left to head back to the South to recover ..Raiko and Tenzin came to me to ask me to temporarily lead the Earth Kingdom for a short while until an official leader could be put on the throne. Wu was the only one left of that linage and well...You can see how quickly the fame went to his head. He was no different than the Queen only caring about himself." Suyin said making him snort. (Sora I don't think you fully realize how dangerous someone like this can be in his position. Someone who wants everything handed to him on a sliver platter in his position is more dangerous than you realize and everyone else will agree)
"Yeah. Wish Zaheer had fully ended the bloodline so someone better could have taken place. In a sense I don't fully disagree with Zaheer's ideology but only when it comes to people like him and his aunt and cousin and Raiko. There are good leaders. Before the corruption the Gods trained leaders to insure everyone was equal." Sean said.
"I know I've heard the stories. But when I refused Kuvira and some of the others of the Metal Clan including Varrick left to establish order. When she did bring order to Ba Sing Se Raiko tasked her with restoring order most likely to get some credit for allowing her to do so without world leaders interfering." Suyin said.
"I really wanna help stop this I really do. But I've only just begun to finally hold my weapons without my hands shaking. And my connection is still broken." Sean said.
"And what about Korra? I saw what she did during the coronation. She's stronger than ever before." Suyin said.
"She could handle Kuvira without question. It's not just bending she's learned over the last three years but magic and fighting abilities. Truthfully...As I was three years ago she could give me a challenge and she still has a long way to go." Sean said.
"So what do you plan to do?" Suyin asked.
"Try to talk to Kuvira. It's worth a shot at least since violence isn't the only answer. Wisdom and negotiations can always work as well. I've done it before." Sean said before leaving as Suyin frowned.
Arriving at his room he spent 2 months in when Korra was pregnant he found her already asleep making him smile as he removed his father's armor before getting in bed with her before she turned around and wrapped her arms and legs around him and kissed him lovingly.
"You ok?" Korra asked holding him close.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine. I'm just gonna try talking to Kuvira in the morning to try and convince her not to do anything rash. Get some rest." Sean said kissing her before sleep claimed them both.
Meanwhile
Asami in the park where a statue of Korra was at she held her face before she looked ahead seeing a girl and her father playing a game before the later picked his daughter up making her smile.
"There you are." Turok said with Calliope on his shoulders before placing her down as she looked around. "Whats up?" Turok asked.
"Oh it's...Nothing." Asami said.
"Asami please...I know when you're lying. Whats going on?" Turok asked making her sigh.
"I went to see my father yesterday after Sean and Korra left to stop Kuvira . He's been writing me letters and I asked him to stop. After all the horrible things he did...How can I ever forgive him?" Asami asked.
"Hey I haven't forgotten about that either. But coming from a guy who lost everything when he was a little kid. I know the most important thing is family. Yeah...What your father did was messed up but when we go through a loss it makes us act differently. Remember what happened when Korra thought my brother was dead because of Mako's actions for telling Raiko?" Turok asked.
"A little hard to forget the pure amount of power she let off and the enraged look on her face. But yeah I get what you're saying. But still he hurt so many innocent people. Including Korra who had her bending taken away because of Amon. And he tried to kill Sean too for some dumb reason. And my father even admitted he would kill everyone who's related to benders to finally have a pure nonbending world. How do you forgive someone like that?" Asami asked.
"Maybe not forgive but at least give him another chance. It's all we can give. What did you feel when you saw him again after five years?" Turok asked.
"He seemed...More relaxed and less like he was when the war started between us and Amon's equalists." Asami said.
"Then maybe he has changed. Besides...His actions also later helped my brother and Korra get together because of what happened to her and I'm sure Korra would never change what happened if it meant she could be where she is now. Sometimes from the very worst of experiences come the greatest of gifts. I would know." Turok said as Calliope climbed on Asami's lap making her smile as she held her close.
"Yeah." Asami said.
Next morning
Varrick was stuck in his lab like a rat and he was going crazy.
"I can't believe Kuvira locked me in here like a prisoner. I'm not feeling well. I think I'm running out of air. Zhu-Li Hold your breath." Varrick said.
"I'm not holding my breath." Zhu-Li said making some tea.
"Great! Now we're both gonna die." Varrick said.
"Varrick. Varrick."
"Augh, and the head voices are back!" Varrick panicked before Zhu-Li pointed up making him look up seeing Bolin coming out of a hatch. "Bolin, thank goodness you're here. Where did that Hatch come from? Forget the Hatch! There's something important I've got to tell ya." Varrick said.
"Well, there's something important I've got to tell you too." Bolin said jumping down before they both grabbed each other.
"Kuvira's Crazy!" They both yelled shocking each other they both said that perfectly together.
"How'd you find out?" Bolin asked.
"When I refused to build her a super weapon, she threatened my life." Varrick said.
"She threatened me too, and she's threatening Zaofu. And it turns out she's been threatening villages this whole time. We've got to get out of here." Bolin said.
Meanwhile
Kuvira was talking with her soldiers.
"Kuvira we have an important Guest." Baatar said getting her attention seeing Sean.
"Kruger, I didn't realize you were here." Kuvira said.
"Yes, well I was required here. I know why you're here." Sean said.
"That should be obvious." Kuvira said.
"I came here to ask you not to invade your home." Sean said.
"I think we both know thats not gonna happen." Kuvira said.
"You can't seriously tell me you're ok with invading your own home where you grew up and became who you are." Sean said.
"It's nothing personal really. I was tasked with bringing stability to the Earth Kingdom. Zaofu is the last hold out." Kuvira said.
"It feels personal since from what Suyin says you hold a grudge against her for not taking the leader position when Tenzin and Raiko offered her it until someone else could take it." Sean said.
"Honestly it really isn't. I understand why you might think that but all I'm doing is trying to unite my nation better than ever. You said it yourself you would rather have me in charge than Wu. Someone who's a spoiled brat and can't take things not going his way and acting out the way he did to your kids. Thats a worse leader than his aunt and Cousin ever could be since if he had an army like me he would declare war just to have everyone bow down to him and do whatever he pleased no matter who was hurt and killed." Kuvira said.
"Not gonna lie on that part. But flat forcing people to do what you think is right is also no better. Listen there are consequences to all of our actions good and bad. Did you know that Kyoshi was the one who created the Dai Li?" Sean asked making her nod.
"I'm well aware. She was trying to preserve the history of the Earth Kingdom by creating them but it backfired years later." Kuvira said.
"Then you see my point. Even good intentions have negative consequences. The rest of the world won't stand for this since Suyin let me and Korra stay here when Zaheer was after us. You know I'm right." Sean said making her frown at that idea since she couldn't deny it.
"I suppose thats true. And I'd rather not go to war with the world especially your people if the old stories are anything to go on." Kuvira said.
"Look. Zaofu has managed to keep the peace perfectly fine. Theres no need for you to take control if they don't need any help when Suyin has done a good job. Don't you think you owe her for everything she's done for you? You wouldn't be who you are if she hadn't taken you in." Sean said making her look away.
"Well...I suppose I could reconsider this." Kuvira said.
"Thats all I ask." Sean said leaving.
While they were talking Baatar went looking for Bolin before approaching the guards around Varrick's lab.
"Have you seen Bolin?" Baatar asked.
"He came by to see Varrick, but we turned him away."
Baatar however frowned.
"Open the door." Baatar said getting them to do that and found the place empty making him frown before looking up seeing the vent open.
"We have some fugitives to catch." Baatar said.
Meanwhile
Bolin, Varrick and Zhu Li were in Mecha Suits getting as far away as possible.
"Ok I say we sneak in from around the mountains and sneak into Zaofu from the rear." Bolin said.
"We're not going to Zaofu. That place is doomed. We gotta head to Republic City let Kruger know whats happened so he'll send his people to deal with this." Varrick said.
"What? No. No, no, no. We've got to help here." Bolin said.
"We'll be helping by warning the world about Kuvira's potential super weapon." Varrick said.
"But what about Suyin and her people? We can't just leave them." Bolin said.
"Kruger can have his people help them later." Varrick said.
Thats when they were almost zapped by Baatar and his men in their own Mecha Suits.
"YIKES!" Varrick yelled getting in his suit before Bolin and Baatar started fighting.
"Lost your nerve Bolin?" Baatar asked.
"I didn't sign up to hurt people! I thought we were actually helping them!" Bolin yelled pushing him back.
Varrick tried to help but was not controlling his suit right.
"Thats not the flamethrower! What idiot designed this crap!" Varrick yelled.
"You did." Zhu Li said making him frown annoyed. (He doesn't even know how to work his own inventions! How is he rich?)
Bolin got out of his suit before he started lava bending the others.
"Maybe I should have taken Korra's advice and learned from Chiron." Bolin said remembering his last visit when she showed him what she learned from Chiron.
"Hey I think I figured this out!" Varrick said before zapping Zhu Li. (YOU IDIOT!)
"Sir...Stop helping please." Zhu Li begged.
Bolin started lava bending Baatar's men when they got out of their Mecha Suits.
"STOP!" Baatar yelled holding Varrick up who looked annoyed. "Turn yourselves over or else." Baatar said.
"Thanks a Lot, Zhu Li." Varrick said making her glare. (Oh it's her fault! Sure!)
Meanwhile
Asami once more was in the prison as her father came to her.
"You came back." Hiroshi said.
"When I first came here, It was because I wanted to tell you face-to-face that I never wanted to see or hear from you again. I wanted my words to hurt you, so that you would know how you hurt me." Asami said.
"I know. Not a day goes by where I don't wish I could take back the words I said when we last fought. I was so angry that I didn't even realize what I said until it was all over." Hiroshi said in regret.
"I don't think I can ever forgive what you done. But at the very least...I think I can give you a second chance." Asami said. "I know Sean and Turok would give anything to have their families back even for a minute. And you're all I have left of ours." Asami said making him smile lightly.
"I am so proud of the woman you've become in these last five years since that day. And so would your mother." Hiroshi said making her smile.
Meanwhile
Bolin, Varrick and Zhu Li were being dragged to Kuvira's tent seeing her looking very unhappy.
"You know I honestly thought someone who was one of Kruger's friends would know something about Loyalty." Kuvira said.
"Please don't torture us." Bolin begged.
"Send these three away on the next train. Bolin and Zhu Li will be going to the reeducation camp for our most severe dissenters." Kuvira said before looking at Varrick. "And you will continue work on the spirit energy project under close armed supervision. I want it weaponized immediately." Kuvira said turning her back.
"Please, Have mercy on me! Don't send me away. Take me back!" Zhu Li said getting on her knees.
"Now why would I do that?" Kuvira asked.
"My only mistake was being loyal to the wrong person. I was blindly devoted to Varrick, I looked past all the times he ridiculed me or ordered me around or made me clean his disgusting feet." Zhu Li said.
"Hey." Varrick said annoyed.
"I thought he possessed the most brilliant mind in the world, but when I met you, I realized I was wrong. Compared to you, Varrick's a fool." Zhu Li said. (I actually bought this when she said this)
"I am right here you know." Varrick said.
I believe in everything you've done and I believe in your vision." Zhu Li said.
"Hmm. You two could learn something from her. All right...I'll give you another chance." Kuvira said getting her to rise.
"Think about what you're doing! We have history." Varrick said.
"I did everything you ever asked of me, and you never appreciated it. Guards, do the thing!" Zhu Li said as they grabbed him and dragged him out.
"NO! NOT THE THING! Zhu Li!" Varrick yelled. (Heh! I actually got more respect for her when this happened)
Meanwhile
"Well?" Korra asked her husband.
"With any luck I think we things might be looking up since I brought up some good points to her" Sean said making her smile before they walked to Baatar Senior.
"Where is Suyin? We have to talk to her." Korra said.
"She's not here. She took the boys to sneak into her camp and end this." Baatar Senior said shocking them.
"You gotta kidding me! I convinced her not to attack!" Sean said pissed off.
Meanwhile
Suyin and her sons were outside the base where Kuvira was before coming up a tree.
"Are you sure this will work? Even without Kuvira, they could still crush us." Wei said.
"With her out of the picture her forces will be in complete disarray. Most of her entire army has let all that power go through their head while a small amount is only serving her out of fear. Once she's taken out they'll turn on each other and destroy what she's made before things go back to normal" Suyin said.
They snuck into the base before finding a dome protected by armed guards in Mecha Suits.
Slamming her foot on the ground she sensed the vibrations ahead of her to see if she was inside which she was.
"She's in there alone." Suyin said before they used earthbending to tunnel in.
When they made it in they restrained her before taking the sheets off.
Only to be shocked seeing it wasn't her but Zhu-Li.
"Don't hurt me." Zhu-Li said.
"Zhu-Li?" Suyin asked surprised before alarms went off and the dome came down before they were surrounded and Kuvira appeared.
"I knew you couldn't resist trying to take me out. It's a cowardly tactic but I anticipated it before you even made it. You know the Irony here? Kruger actually convinced me not to attack otherwise his people would be forced to intervene and even I'm not confident enough to go up against Spartans if the legends are any indication. Even more so since he brought them back from the dead after 10,000 years." Kuvira said making her frown.
"Enough games Kuvira. Why is Zhu Li here?" Suyin asked.
"Oh you didn't know? She, Bolin and Varriick attempted to escape after some small things. She however pledged her life to me." Kuvira said making her frown.
Meanwhile
"Sean, you have to stop Suyin before she does something really dangerous." Jinora said.
"What the hell am I supposed to do? I can't use my powers anymore. I might be able to fight again sure but even I know I can't take on an army numbered in the tens of thousands with just my starting weapons." Sean said referring to his axe, Blades of Chaos and Sokka's sword.
"Stop her? We should be helping her!" Opal said.
"We have no idea where your mom is or what he plan is. If we go charging into Kuvira's camp, we could get them all captured or worse. All we can do now is wait." Korra said.
"She's right. Theres nothing we can do without making things worse.
Thats when the loudspeakers turned on.
"Attention, citizens of Zaofu. Your lead, Su Beifong, attempted to attack me tonight while I slept, despite the fact I was going to leave her city be after Kruger made the request. I now have her and her assault team in custody." Kuvira said.
"No." Opal said.
"Rest assured that I will not take revenge on the peaceful citizens of Zaofu, as long as your remaining representatives meet me outside the city at dawn to offer the full and unconditional surrender of your city. That is all." Kuvira said.
"Korra, you can't let Kuvira get away with this. We have to go break out my mom and my brothers." Opal said.
"You swore an oath of nonaggression when you became an airbender. You can't just attack Kuvira." Jinora said making her scoff.
"Oh thats rich. Would you do the same if Turok's life was on the line." Opal said.
"Thats not fair." Jinora said.
"Look fighting about this isn't going to help anyone." Mimir said.
"He's right. Look we'll fix this in the morning." Sean said.
"She could kill my mom and brothers by then" Opal said.
"She's not gonna do that. That would only make things worse and the world would have no choice but to deal with her. Even she's not equipped to deal with an army in the millions." Sean said.
"Aye." Mimir said.
"They'll be fine we promise." Korra said.
Next morning
Varrick on the train along with Bolin were working on the energy project with Baatar watching over them.
"Where exactly did you get this idea anyway?" Baatar asked.
"Believe it or not but when I heard about how Kruger fought against Unalaq when he fused with Vaatu and the story of what happened it inspired me. Kinda surprised his grandfather actually helped him in that fight but I guess it makes sense for one of the strongest gods to be able to fight off the corruption." Varrick said.
"For now. Soon enough he won't be so good anymore and Kruger's going to have to fight him." Baatar said.
"Just one question on that...Are we going to be there when that happens or are we gonna be dead?" Varrick asked.
"What are you..." Baatar tried to say before the device powered up and the spirit vines started glowing.
"Uh." Bolin said alarmed.
"What have you done?" Baatar asked enraged.
"Oh nothing much just made a giant bomb. Big enough to take out say...5 miles." Varrick said shocking them.
"You are out of your mind! You wouldn't dare kill yourself!" Baatar yelled.
"Wanna bet?" Varrick asked making him growl.
"You think you can just quit? We can just drag you off this part of the train and disconnect the rest before it blows." Baatar said before Varrick pulled out a detonator.
"Always cover all my bases. I might be crazy but I'm not stupid. YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU LEFT ME, ZHU LI!" Varrick yelled. (I'm not so sure about that)
Baatar growled before everyone got off the vine part of the train.
"I think thats everyone on this half." Bolin said before Baatar glared at them.
"You are insane." Baatar said.
"You knew that when you hired me. Bolin do the thing." Varrick said.
"Uh..." Bolin tried to say.
"Separate the cart! Come on that was an easy one." Varrick said making him do just that as Baatar and the others were trailing behind.
"Phew. That was a nice bluff. Now how do we get off this thing?" Bolin asked.
"Who said that was a Bluff? I was being dead serious about dying kid." Varrick said making him gasp in shock and grabbed him.
"WHAT!" Bolin yelled in shock.
"Well, we had a good run didn't we?" Varrick asked making Bolin look for an escape.
Thats when he saw the hatch leading down.
"I'll see you on the other side, Zhu Li." Varrick said before Bolin smacked him. (HA!)
"I want you to know...I Hate you so much." Bolin said before diving down with him and used Earth bending to dig down.
From a distance Baatar saw the cart explode in a huge explosion.
"I can't believe he blew himself up. And I thought Zaheer was crazy for trying to unleash all of Sean's power three years ago." Baatar said.
Later
Sean, Korra, Jinora and Opla stood outside of Zaofu facing Kuvira's army with Suyin and her sons in Pods.
"Let them go." Opal said.
"If Su agrees to bow to me and turn over Zaofu, she and the rest of your family will not be harmed." Kuvira said.
"Never! I'll never bow to you!" Suyin yelled.
"Kuvira this is going over the line. The world won't tolerate this." Sean said.
"There must be some way for us to resolve this." Korra said.
"I've already laid out my terms, and I think they're very reasonable. After all, Su did try to take me out despite I was going to leave Zaofu." Kuvira said.
"You wanna take over the place and do what you please with it. Thats not gonna happen" Sean said.
"Where's Bolin? I know he would never agree to go along with this." Opal said.
"If you really want to know he's going to be in a place worse than hell since he tried to leave." Kuvira said shocking her.
"Kuvira, Please I am begging you. You need to stop this now. If you do this you'll start a war and that will only make him more powerful with the suffering it'll bring." Sean said.
"I wouldn't worry about that actually. I have something in the works that will make the Devil think twice before attacking us." Kuvira said making him growl at her arrogance. "Now turn over Zaofu."
"I'm not gonna let you take the city." Korra said.
"Avatar Korra, You are interfering with internal Earth Empire business and letting your personal feelings get in the way of reason. Zaofu cannot continue to rule itself. They have been hoarding their riches and technology too long. I'm here to distribute those resources fairly throughout the nation. This is about equality." Kuvira said.
"Oh please thats the same bullshit Amon preached." Sean said.
"The only way you're going to keep me from marching into Zaofu is if you physically stop me." Kuvira said making Korra sigh.
"It looks like you're not giving me a choice." Korra said making her chuckle. "The hell you laughing about now?" Korra asked annoyed.
"You really expect to stop me in your state?" Kuvira asked confusing them.
"My state? What are you talking about? What are going on about?" Korra asked making her laugh.
"Oh tell me this isn't true. You mean you actually came out here ready to fight me...Unaware you're pregnant again?" Kuvira asked shocking them.
"What?" Korra asked before Sean held her stomach.
"She's not lying." Sean said sensing a small heartbeat.
"But..." Korra tried to say.
"I can sense the small heartbeat vibrations in the ground. You're not the only one who's improved in the last three years. From what I'm sensing your at least two weeks along." Kuvira said.
"After I came back from the Swamp." Sean said making Korra widen her eyes now afraid for the life of her next unborn baby.
"So do you still plan to fight me in your condition?" Kuvira asked making Korra step back holding her stomach protectively.
"No...She won't. But I will." Sean said taking his axe out making her grin.
"Sean...You can't. Your still not good enough to fight." Korra said worried for him.
"I have to." Sean said before he stepped up.
"Ok...If you win I'll leave with my army and set Su and her sons free. But If I win Zaofu is mine." Kuvira said.
"Whatever." Sean said before Kuvira went on the attack which Sean dodged easily before throwing his axe at her before tried to metal bend it but it didn't work shocking her as she dodged and it cut her hair.
"Thats not gonna work. It's made of magic." Sean said calling his axe back before slamming it down hard creating a wave of ice spikes at her which she dodged before launching more metal objects at him before he blocked it with the Golden Fleece before groaning as one his his side before he pulled it out.
"Looks like you've lost your touch in the last three years." Kuvira said before she started metal bending his armor making Sean growl as she tightened it around him before slamming him down hard.
Korra covered her mouth as Kuvira started beating him badly.
Sean groaned as he was slammed down hard making Kuvira chuckle.
"Had enough now?" Kuvira asked as he spat out blood.
"Is that all you got?" Sean asked making her frown before earth bending spikes into his shoulders making Sean growl in pain before she slammed him into the mountain side.
"Lets just end this all ready." Kuvira said bringing down the mountain on him.
"KUVIRA DON'T!" Suyin yelled in horror before it crashed down on him.
"NOOOO!" Korra screamed.
"Oh relax. He's not dead. His arms and legs are crushed though. I don't need any repeats of what happened three years ago. As for you though." Kuvira said approaching her making her eyes widen.
"You think that makes you powerful now? Are you going to kill a mother and her unborn baby to prove it?" Korra asked.
"Hardly. I'm going to hold you captive until you give birth and raise it my way." Kuvira said horrifying her. "And since your daughters were also born here I'll send my men to take them back since they are Earth Empire citizens and I'll be teaching them from now on to use their powers as I see fit." Kuvira said making her glare as tears ran down her eyes.

Sean groaned as he found himself in a white field making him look around.
"Where...Am I?" Sean asked.
"I have been waiting for you." God said appearing as a white flame
"You? Why am I here. I don't have time for this." Sean said.
"Calm yourself. Time has no place here. We must talk. You have lost your connection to the other gods as well as your skills and warrior spirit." God said.
"I know. I know its because I died. No one can just shrug that off so casually. Almost dying is one thing but dying itself and coming back is another. And it destroyed my connection to them." Sean said.
"No. Thats not why your connection is blocked. It was never because you died. It's only a small part of the reason." God said confusing him.
"Then what is?" Sean asked.
"It's because you're afraid. Not of death...No. You're afraid of leaving what you have behind. You have always struggled since you found out the truth about what you lost. The idea of losing what you have now terrifies you. So you hold yourself back to prevent yourself from fighting again so you cannot lose your family. This I can understand. To you your family is the most important thing you have. A quality of a human being." God said.
"But thats not all is it?" Sean asked.
"No. The other reason is because you don't want to be what you are. The Slayer of gods. All you've ever wanted was a normal life with the one you love and your children. But you are so close to finally ending the suffering of mankind and restoring order that has been lost for so many years." God said.
"I never wanted to be this. I didn't ask to be this." Sean said.
"I know. Do you know why I chose you to be the God Slayer?" God asked.
"Why?" Sean asked.
"Because you alone proved something that everyone else thought impossible. That a man with a Cause can be stronger than A God. You've given people hope that they haven't had in 10,000 years. That is why I chose you. But you need to stop denying what you are. And accept it. Only then will you unlock your true potential." God said.
"Mmm. When this is over...What happens?" Sean asked.
"You are free to choose whatever path you want." God said before white flames engulfed Sean's body.

Meanwhile
Korra sobbed as she held her stomach before Opal and Jinora got in front of Her.
"Stay away from her!" Jinora yelled making Kuvira chuckle.
"You really think you can..."

Suddenly a large Lava hand emerged from the rubble startling them.
Thats when another Hand made of Water also came out.
"Now what?" Wei asked before a large body made of the elements began to emerge and roared loudly. (Picture Kronos from Wrath of the Titans but with Every element added to it)
Kuvira widened her eyes in fear seeing this monster.
"Sean?" Korra asked as he looked at her.
"Kuvira." Sean said slowly as he glared at her before roaring loudly as his eyes glowed green showing his connection to the gods was restored before several Green flames appeared before Ares, Thor and Ra appeared before they attacked Kuvira's army making them yell in shock from the attack.
Kuvira growled before sending an Earth spike at Ares in the chest making impact causing her to grin but widened her eyes seeing Sean wasn't in pain like he usually was when this happened.
"That no longer works on me." Sean said before swinging his right arm splashing Lave at her making her yell as she used the Earth to shield herself.
"Whoa." Wing said before Thor freed them as they rushed to the others.
Sean growled as he spoke in multiple languages as he walked to Kuvira who ran away.
Stomping his foot down a large wall of ice blocked her making her gasp in fear as Sean made his way to her before roaring at her as he blasted fire at her making her yell as she made a rock shield but it barley held together making her yell as she went flying into the ice.
Most of Kuvira's army yelled in horror as Ares slashed right through.
Sean snarled at Kuvira before lightning appeared above him before blasting him making him roar as he blasted it at her army making them yell in shock.
Thats when Sean began to shrink before his human form was seen with his eyes glowing green and his muscles back to their prime condition as his armor cracked apart before charging at Kuvira with the Nemean Cestus and delivered a series of blows to her making her groan in pain.
Thor roared as he summoned a large amount of lightning on her army making them yell in shock.
Sean and Kuvira continued to fight before Sean pulled out the Blade of Olympus and grabbed her and slammed her down.

"SUBMIT!" Sean yelled,
"I WOULD RATHER DIE!" Kuvira yelled as Sean tried to stab her but she held it back with her hands before Sean slammed it into her making her groan in pain.
Kuvira coughed up blood as she was hit in the abdomen.
"It doesn't have to be this way Kuvira. This path is of your choosing." Sean said.
"A choice from you is as worthless as the Gods." Kuvira said making him growl.
"Even now as you draw your last breath you continue to defy me! Everything you have ever known Kuvira will now suffer because of your cruelty. You will never rule the Earth Kingdom. The Cycle of people like you and my past enemies ends here." Sean said before taking his blade out before summoning the Spear of Triam and sent a wave of power to what remained of her army before they were destroyed on impact. Those who followed out of fear were spared from death.
Kuvira growled before glaring at Sean.
"You will pay for this Kruger...Be certain of that." Kuvira said before coughing up blobs of blood before she died.
Sean groaned as he fell to his knees as the gods returned to him before Korra rushed to him.
"Are you ok?" Korra asked making him face her before he smiled which surprised her.
"I'll be ok." Sean said kissing her as she held his face and held him close.
Baatar got out of some wreckage before seeing them and growled seeing Kuvira's lifeless body.
"BAATAR!" Sean roared making him gasp as Sean grabbed him by the neck.
"What are you waiting for? DO IT!" Baatar yelled.
"You shut up. You are no longer welcomed in Zaofu. Ever again." Sean said.
"What does that mean! This is my home!" Baatar yelled.
"After you tried to conquer it. Tell me. If Kuvira had killed your mother and brothers would you willingly still serve her?" Sean asked shocking him.
"What? She would never do that!" Baatar yelled.
"Your avoiding the question which makes me think you would. Hence why you are no longer welcomed here or anywhere near Suyin's family. You are now just Baatar with no last name. You have lost the right. And if you ever come near here again I will kill you." Sean said dropping him as he panted in fear before running to the only airship that was still working.
"Sean." Suyin said getting his attention. "I know what he's done is wrong but..." Suyin tried to say.
"Su if you let him off with a slap on the wrest he'll never learn to value what he has like I do." Sean said.
"GUYS!" Bolin yelled making them face him seeing him and Varrick rush to them looking lightly banged up.
"Bolin!" Opal yelled rushing to him and pulled him into a hug happy he was ok
"Now thats what I call a happy ending." Sean said smiling as Korra held him with a small smile.
"Lets go home." Korra said making him nod.
Later
Annabeth was on her grandmother's lap as she told her and her sisters stories of her father before they were born.
Thats when Dojo flew in before landing.
"Daddy!" Annabeth yelled running to him as he got off and caught her in his arms.
"I told you we would be back soon." Sean said as Korra picked up her sisters.
"What happened? Reports are coming in that Kuvira and most of her army are dead." Tenzin said.
"Yeah thats because of me." Sean said shocking them.
"You got your connection back?" Tonraq asked before Sean's eyes glowed green
"I had a little help with that." Sean said before Raiko and some of his men approached him along with Wu. "Oh my god what do you want now?" Sean asked knowing something bad was gonna happen.
"You are officially under arrest for mass slaughter and genocide" Raiko said shocking them.
"YOU GOTTA BE BLOODY JOKING ME!" Turok yelled.
"Kuvira threatened to conquer all of Zaofu and I stopped her and this is my thanks?" Sean asked annoyed.
"You've caused nothing but trouble since you've arrived in my city and Wu is requesting your immediate execution along with your daughters. Since he's now in charge again I'm granting his request." Raiko said before holding his head as the mark glowed.
"And how do you think the rest of the world will take this?" Sean asked.
"Simple we'll declare war on all of them and win easily. Now on your knees." Wu said expecting it before Sean put Annabeth with her grandmother before approaching the two with a deadly glare making them feel nervous as Raiko's security ran off in fear.
"No. And you both have been a major pain since the moment I met you both. I think it's time I deal with you...The same way I dealt with Perseus." Sean said moving to grab them making them scream.
Later
A large amount of people were in the bending arena stadium.
"Why are we here?" Katara asked her mother who smiled.
"We're here for a show. Trust me you three are gonna love this." Korra said making them laugh.
Thats when Sean and Turok appeared with two tables covered up by a tarp.
"Ok I have been waiting to do this for 4 years! People heard stories about me roasting my uncle Perseus 4 years ago." Sean said making people cheer.
"Well...Now you all get the chance to join..." Turok said pulling the tarp off showing Raiko and Wu tied up and gagged. "Roasting these bastards!" Turok yelled making the crowd laugh.
"Oh before I forget." Sean said appearing in front of his kids before casting a spell on them. "This will block out the bad language so they don't get any ideas." Sean said.
"Aww!" The whined making the family laugh as Sean appeared back with his brother.
"Now everyone gets 3 minutes to write whatever they want about them and also if your lucky one gets a request for us to do to these poor fuckers." Sean said making everyone do just that.
When time was up Sean and Turok took the gags out.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!" Raiko roared.
"Actually I can. You've abused your power for far too long. And as for you." Sean said looking at Wu who whimpered. "Your more annoying than Perseus since your always constantly annoying me and my family every second while he only appeared every few months and failed. His failure was amusing. Yours is not." Sean said.
"Lets begin shall we?" Turok asked.
"Raiko is even worse than Tarrlok ever was. I'd rather have the council back than have him completely charge." Sean read.
"I think we might have to reinstate that actually." Turok said making people agree while Raiko growled.
"Your such a bad leader that even Mimir in his current state is a far better improvement." Sean read making people burst out laughing.
"Why thank you. I might just do that actually." Mimir said making people laugh.
"Your talking about someone who's just a head!" Raiko yelled.
"Be quiet." Sean said.
"Imagine that your the most hated person in the entire world...OH WAIT!" Turok yelled making Sean burst out laughing as did everyone else while Raiko growled in rage.
"I'm only hated because of your lies!" Raiko yelled.
"What lies? You ruined your reputation with the papers when you thought I was dead. Vowed to help Unalaq who wanted to destroy the whole world and tried to force my wife to get an abortion when she was pregnant with the girls and tried to kill me when I refused to get that mark off your head. How is that my fault?" Sean asked making people Boo Raiko who growled in rage.
"Raiko apparently has a poor fashion taste." Turok read making Sean snicker.
"Whats wrong with what I wear?" Raiko asked.
"Everything." Sean said making people laugh.
"Realizing your most hated enemy is more popular than you'll ever be." Turok read.
"I'm not much for fame and popularity. I just like the simple things." Sean said making people laugh.
"Oh he's being serious on that." Korra said making the girls giggle.
"Even Sharks wouldn't eat Garbage like you and they sometimes eat garbage." Turok read. (Which is true)
"Oooh! Ouch." Sean laughed making people laugh.
"I AM NOT GARBAGE!" Raiko roared.
"Oh please. Your approval rating is at negative 100 percent." Sean said making people burst out laughing.
"Raiko only won the election because he cheated like the loser he is." Turok read.
"Hmm. Korra come here for a second." Sean said as she airbended down to him. "You said your a Truth seer right?" Sean asked making her grin.
"Of course." Korra said.
"Lets find out if thats true." Sean said placing Raiko's feet on the ground. "Did you cheat to win the election?" Sean asked.
"No!" Raiko yelled.
"He's lying." Korra sang making people Boo him which made him growl in rage.
"Was your goal to make yourself look good and not focus on the people?" Sean asked.
"My goal was to help Republic City!" Raiko yelled.
"Liar." Korra said making people boo again making him seethe in rage.
"Thank you honey." Sean said kissing her making her grin before airbending back to the girls. "Ok next." Sean said.
"Raiko, I believe you are the reason God created the middle finger?" Turok read before he and his brother burst out laughing as did everyone else.
"Mommy whats the middle finger?" Calliope asked.
"A very bad hand gesture so don't do it." Korra warned.
"Ok." Calliope said making her sigh in relief.
"OH MAN!" Sean laughed holding his sides.
"Wow." Luke said chuckling.
"If Raiko was a god the whole world would be destroyed in a day." Turok read making Sean snort in amusement as everyone burst out laughing.
"So true." Sean said making him growl.
"The only reason he was married was one of three reasons. One she married him out of pity. Two it was anArranged marriage and she hated it. Three she married him for his money." Turok read.
"Or maybe she only pretended to be married to him because he paid her to do so for publicity." Sean suggested making people burst out laughing.
"THATS A LIE!" Raiko roared.
"Whatever." Sean said.
"When Raiko's wife had the Head of Medusa she willingly looked into it to escape her marriage and him in death." Turok read making Sean burst out laughing as did everyone else.
"OH YEAH THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT!" Sean yelled as everyone laughed.
"Oooh. We got a request here." Turok said handing it to Sean who reads it.
"Do the wheel of death challenge on Raiko and Wu." Sean read making people applaud. "You wanna do this?" Sean asked his brother.
"Oh I was so hoping you'd let me." Turok said as both appeared on spinning wheels.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Wu sobbed.
"Oh the hell I can't." Turok said.

Turok started throwing knives and axes at them.
"AHHHHH!" Wu screamed in fear before his ear was hit making him shriek in fear.
"Ow." Katara said holding her ears from the noise level of his shriek making her mother giggle
Turok then started tossing the axes at Raiko who screamed in horror before his balls were almost hit.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Raiko screamed in fear.
"Oh so close." Sean said.
In the end Turok mostly hit the arms and legs making them whimper in fear.

"HAHAHAAHA!" Sean laughed.
"Oh whoever wrote that one you deserve a promotion at work." Turok said making people laugh.
"Ok now for Wu's roasting." Sean said.
"Are we even sure you're related to the Queen and you didn't just make that up to take control?" Turok read.
"Oh. I didn't even think of that. Korra." Sean said as she flew down with a grin as Wu was placed down and looked nervous.
"Are you really royalty?" Turok asked.
"Yes." Wu whimpered.
"He's lying." Korra said making people Boo Wu who widened his eyes.
"OK! It was Raiko's idea! He wanted to take credit for putting me on the throne to get reelected!" Wu yelled making them more angry.
"Why am I not surprised." Korra said.
"Mmm." Sean said before the next one appeared.
"Your such a spoiled brat that my grandkids are more mature." Turok said.
"Tonraq!" Sean yelled making him and Senna laugh as did everyone else.
"Way to go dad." Korra said as Sean laughed.
"I'd wager you've never even hit puberty." Turok read.
"Judging from the fact that he has no facial hair I would agree." Sean said making people laugh.
"Even if you declared war you would lose in a day since your army would abandon you." Turok said.
"Those would be the smart ones." Sean said making people laugh.
"I'd bet your parents placed you in trash after you were born seeing the mistake you were." Turok said.
"Ouch. That one was kinda mean. Granted it's a roasting but damn." Sean said.
"Mmm." Korra said shrugging.
"It's a wonder how Mako put up with you for months. I would have killed you the second we met." Turok read.
"Asami." Korra said making her and Mako laugh as did everyone else.
"I couldn't help it." Asami said.
"Not even Aphrodite and Hathor would sleep with you or they're now dead daughters." Turok read.
"Luke I know this is yours." Sean said making him laugh.
"Well, we both know its true." Luke said.
"You would be such a bad leader that Varrick would be an improvement." Turok read.
"BOLIN!" Sean yelled making everyone burst out laughing
"What? It's true...Mostly." Bolin said.
"He almost blew you up all the way to hell." Sean said.
"Ok fair enough." Bolin said defeated making people laugh.
"I'm willing to bet you're still a virgin." Turok read making people snicker.
"I AM NOT!" Wu yelled.
"Lets test that out." Sean said pulling out a familiar blue stone.
"Hey I remember that. Amara used this on us." Korra said remembering that embarrassing encounter.
"Yup. If he glows green it means he's a virgin. Red means he's not." Sean said tossing it at him before it glowed brightly before Wu was in green making him look in shock as everyone laughed at him.
"And that confirms it." Korra said giggling.
"Ok theres another for Raiko." Turok said.
"Thank god you don't have any kids otherwise they would be just as horrible as you." Korra said making her eyes widen looking at Sean.
"Senna I know this is yours." Sean said making her giggle while her husband laughed as did everyone else.
"I guess the mean bone does run in the family." Korra laughed holding her husband close.
"QUIET!" Raiko roared shutting everyone up. "Now you listen to me. I am the president of Republic City. And I can do whatever I please. If I want you dead despite knowing it would doom the world thats my right to do so. You and those three brats!" Raiko roared making him and Korra smirk.
"Four." Sean said confusing him and everyone else.
"We have three kids right now and another on the way." Korra said making everyone cheer.
"Whats that mean?" Annabeth asked her grandmother.
"It's means you might get a baby brother or sister in nine months." Senna said as she and her sisters still looked confused making her and Tonraq laugh as she held them close. "We'll explain when you're older." Senna said.
"NO! I won't let another abomination breathe in my city!" Raiko roared before Sean took out his axe before slamming it into him making him roar in pain before he was frozen solid before breaking apart into a million pieces making Wu shriek in fear.
"As for you." Sean said approaching him.
"PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" Wu sobbed.
"Oh...I'm not gonna kill you like that...I have something much worse in mind." Sean said before a red portal opened up before chains latched onto Wu making him shriek. "Your gonna go through what my Uncle Deimos went through for the rest of time. Killing Raiko was something special since that seal on his head puts his soul in a place worse than hell. You on the other hand don't have that mark. So this is an alternative." Sean said as Wu screamed as he was pulled into Death's domain for all eternity.
"And thats the end of that." Turok said getting an applause.
Later
Everyone was on Air temple island celebrating their victory against Kuvira and Korra's next pregnancy.
And of course Bolin was poking Korra's stomach again like the first time making her laugh.
"Bolin thats not gonna do anything." Korra laughed.
"Dude come on!" Reznov said pulling him away.
Sean was outside looking at the stars.
"I remember when we were kids we would look at the stars before going to bed." Korra said walking to him.
"Yeah...Those were simpler times." Sean said holding her close.
"How did you do it? Regain your connection and everything else you lost that day?" Korra asked making him smile.
"I...Had a talk with God. He told me I was holding myself back out of fear...Of losing what I have after all the losses I've had over the years. And I needed to move past this and accept what I am. Being the God Slayer. You know I've never wanted to be this from the start when I told you." Sean said.
"I know. But I know you were chosen for a reason just like I was chosen to be the next Avatar." Korra said.
"He brought that up too. Told me why I was chosen." Sean said.
"And why's that?" Korra asked.
"I proved that a man with a cause can be stronger than a god. Considering all the gods I've defeated over the years. I'd say he's right." Sean said making her smile as she held him.
"I know one thing. When this is all over we can live a normal life together. Cause we both know the gods will do all the work for us." Korra said.
"That I am looking forward to." Sean said before they walked inside.
"Oh uh before I forget. I have my own announcement. Korra's not the only one expecting." Julia said confusing most before they figured it out.
"Wait what?" Sean asked before looking at Reznov.
"What? You can't tell me you didn't see signs of us being together." Reznov said.
"No I'm just surprised you two are having kids before getting married." Sean said.
"Who's says we're not?" Julia asked showing her engagement ring.
"Oh. Congratulations." Korra said hugging her. "Trust me from experience. Having kids is the best gift." Korra said seeing her's playing with their uncle.
"Oh I don't doubt it. I'm just hoping its one and not three in one go." Julia said making her giggle.
"I wasn't complaining when I found out." Korra said.
"This is day is just full of surprises." Sean said to Luke making him chuckle." Sean said.
