Let's start with the story, shall we?*

Chapter 41

Lunchtime…

Mizuki stifled a yawn, tears forming involuntarily in the corner of her eyes. The day started out rough and the strain from her eyes only increased. She thought that it would've gotten better after getting in enough rest. Unfortunately, it didn't.

Her eyes had difficulty adjusting and focusing on her notes and it was also the cause of her vague headache. She had reading glasses that aided her when she worked on designing and the week's paperwork but she never wore them otherwise, much to her parents' dismay.

She always found a way not to need them, always, except today. Moreover, she never brought them with her to school. Only a few people knew about her secret and she honestly wanted to try and keep it that way.

Mizuki rubbed her eyes in attempt to get rid of the tiredness that held them captive. She was going to need to have a word with her parents to get her eyes tested again. She had a feeling that if this kept up, she was going to need to receive permanent contact lenses.

"Are your eyes tired again?" Shoto's voice reached her ears and she lazily looked at the male. Oh, right. He knew about her devastating secret. She could only hope that he didn't blurt it out or there would be bodies to bury.

"They're fine," Mizuki said as she continued to walked down the hallway, catching up to her brother and Eijiro at the front. "I just need to rest them a bit more after the week's work." Shoto cocked his head to the side.

"Why don't you wear your-""SHH!" Mizuki slapped her hand over the male's mouth, gaining unwanted attention because of her abrupt behaviour. She gave the staring eyes one look and they were quick to hide.

She let out a breath, her hand still covering the male's mouth. "No telling anyone and I mean anyone that I wear glasses. I will skin you and blow up your insides, you hear me?" Mizuki threatened and then took a step back.

"Why? They fit your face perfectly."

Mizuki snorted and put her hands on her hips. "Of course they do, idiot. Who do you think picked them out? I don't want anyone to know. That's all," Mizuki told the stoic male. He blinked and she face palmed.

"Whatever. Don't tell anyone!" Mizuki threatened with an accusing finger before walking off. She didn't have time or patience to explain the delicacy of the image she held. She had a feeling that he wouldn't understand anyway.

"Hey, Mizuki. You're just in time! We saved you a spot!" Eijiro waved as they stood in line, no one standing behind them, making her chuckle. Katsuki glanced back at his sister and scoffed, pocketing his hands.

"Useless. We walked on since you were too busy being chummy with Half-and-Half Bastard," Katsuki sneered. His words went over her head, crimson eyes rolling at her brother's disgust. He was overreacting.

"Oh yeah, you two seem to have gotten close. Did anything good happen at the internship?" Eijiro asked also surprised to find a change in their relationship. She didn't snap at him as usual and there seemed to be a two-sided respecting atmosphere.

"What? Are you jealous like Explodo-kill here?" Mizuki asked and the male flushed at her words, Katsuki soon following with an angry exclaim. Mizuki then snickered at their reaction and put a hand on their heads.

"You're still in my top three, okay? Don't worry about things like that," Mizuki told them with a grin. Katsuki hit her hand away angrily, averting his eyes but his tinted ears said everything. Mizuki took her hand off Eijiro, big crimson eyes blinked.

Top three?

"Anyway, I only reminded him of something. We're not best friends or anything. He's a good training partner," Mizuki said. She wasn't going to add that they had a peculiar friendship and that she had dinner at his house. That would be horrific.

"You trained together? Little Shit! I thought you said that you only did paperwork!" Katsuki snapped at her, Mizuki giving him an expression filled with annoyance. Eijiro imagined the two training together, their fight on their first day of Hero Basic Training flashing in his thoughts and he paled.

"Please tell me no one broke a nose…" Eijiro mused, causing Mizuki to chuckle and shake her head in reply. "Thank goodness. It must've been an awarding fight! I wish I can spar with him one day! Though, I think that he'll freeze me like he did with Sero…"

Mizuki took her tray of food and followed the duo. "Nah, I'm sure you can bulldoze through his ice with your hardening. If you ever go up against him, you have my full support, Red," Mizuki said with a wink and he grinned brightly.

"Thanks!" He beamed and Mizuki smiled. She could feel the warmth flooding through her body as she sat down. Katsuki felt the wave of emotions and made a face, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation.

"Ah man, before that I'll have to pass first! The teachers didn't show any mercy on us today, huh? Aizawa Sensei began with a Quiz right off the bat! Why did it had to be about Hero Laws and Ethics…?" Eijiro slumped his shoulders in defeat.

Aizawa… Mizuki resisted a frown that wanted to form onto her lips. She never contacted him during the entire internship, her symptoms completely under control. He hadn't talk to her about anything such and neither had she. No news meant good news, right?

"Are you stupid? We came out of our internships, Shitty hair. It's obvious that they were going to want to test out what we learned," Katsuki bluntly said before taking a bite out of his food, Mizuki humming happily at her meal.

"Even if you say it like that, it doesn't make me feel any better…" Eijiro then looked at Mizuki who was unfazed about the subject. "How did you two do in the Quiz?" He asked and Mizuki blinked. She gave him a blank look and held up a peace sign.

"Full marks."
Eh?
"Me too."

"Y-You're kidding!" They gave him a look and made him turn slightly blue beneath his eyes. "You two really are amazing! I barely made it… I'm really bad at memorizing stuff like that! It's so unmanly!" He exclaimed, clenching his fist and had a tear in the corner of his eye as he pulled a frustrated face.

"It's easier to remember if you know the applications," Mizuki told him, lazily popping the straw inside her juice box. "After drowning in paperwork, I managed to get the hang of most of the regulations. As for the ethics…I only think of my brother and write down the exact opposite."

"HUH?! You wanna go, Fabric Conditioner?!"

Eijiro blinked and then cupped his chin. "I see. That's smart," he muttered underneath his breath, Katsuki's anger directed to him soon after. Eijiro then smiled and observed Mizuki who sat in content next to him.

He had been excited to see her face and smile again. He almost didn't get in enough sleep the previous night. After hearing her voice as she trailed into sleep filled his heart to the brim and reminded him once again that he was head over heels for her.

"Nah, what are you doing-?""Oh, Kaminari-kun, did you hear that?" Mineta appeared out of nowhere as he interrupted Eijiro. He wore a smug expression, his hand behind his ear as it twitched and Kaminari was next to him in the same pose.

"I did, Mineta-kun. It sounded to me that Mi-chan was stuck with paperwork? Huh? I thought she said that she defeated a villain? Could it have been a lie?" Kaminari sang and each word had another vein pulse out from Mizuki's skin.

"I can always give you a practical demonstration on how I blew its brains off!" Mizuki snapped at them, slamming her hand onto the table as she stood up. There were sparks that appeared all over her body and Eijiro paled.

"Hey, don't start a fight. It's our first day back at school." He looked at Mizuki and gave her pleading eyes. Mizuki gave him an intense stare, the male giving her a small smile. She felt her chest give a squeeze and then sat down with a huff.

"Amazing, Kirishima!" Kaminari told the redhead and gave him a pat on his back. "You completely learned to tame one of the twins! How did you do it?" He whispered the last part before receiving a tray in his face.

Eijiro let out a sigh as Mizuki jumped onto the table, Katsuki continuing to eat with an amused expression. A deadly aura surrounded Mizuki, the two males paling as she towered them and swallowed thickly when she cracked her knuckles.

"Who is tamed?"
"N-No one! H-Help!"

"You guys got yourself into trouble. It's your own fault. Take responsibility," Eijiro told them and didn't spare their teary-eyed expression a single glance. Mineta let out a happy sigh, and sat with a bright aura.

"It's okay, Kaminari. I can go after a beautiful view," Mineta said as he looked up. Kaminari followed his gaze and then flushed. The ash blonde female who stood on the table was high above them, her skirt moving for a brief moment.

"You're DEAD."

There was no stopping the twins on their path of rampage, Eijiro kept his eyes staring at his food, his cheeks a dark crimson colour. He didn't mean to. It happened in the motion. He accidently looked up! He was relieved that she wore spandex underneath but still!

I don't think my heart's going to survive… He thought as he took a bite out of his meal. He subconsciously brushed against his jacket's pocket, the rustle of paper reaching his ears. He let out a faint smile and determination crossed through his eyes.

He worked hard and saved up enough for his surprise to Mizuki. He wanted to ask her as soon as possible but he needed the right moment. He glanced to where the twins towered the cowering duo and chuckled.

I'll ask her later!

Later on…

It was time for hero basic training, the class receiving orders that they were to meet All Might at Field Gamma. It had been too long since this period for both of the twins and a few other future hero students.

Mizuki could feel her brother overflowing with the need to blow something up and it was addictive. Though, she had an idea that there would be no such doings today. After all, if he let loose now, he would probably put someone out of commission even with Recovery Girl's Quirk.

"Neh, neh, I wonder what we're going to do today, Mizuki-chan?" Mina and Ochaco walked in front of the ash blonde female as they went to exit the classroom. They had their silver cases in hand with their costumes inside.

"It's a bit exciting to have hero basic training right after the internships!" Ochaco said and Mizuki chuckled. The female had a peculiar aura that surrounded her ever since she came back and the impact was definitely because of her battle hero agency.

"Well, if it's combat training, you better show me what you've learned at your internship, Ochaco. I need a good challenge," Mizuki said with a challenging smirk. Mina blinked while Ochaco gave her a self-assured smile.

"I won't hold back!" Ochaco said, pumping her fist into the air. Mina and Mizuki was pleased to find that Ochaco was brimming with energy and confidence. They were both curious as to what exactly she accomplished in her internship.

"Maybe we're doing rescue training!" Mina bounced with excitement and nearly fell backwards if it wasn't for her good balance. The trio girls stopped to see an arm on the ground where Mina nearly tripped.

Mina and Ochaco stared at the grease filled arm and hesitantly followed the limb towards where the body was. They started to sweat bullets, colour draining from their faces at the unmoving body and let out a bloodcurdling yell when it twitched.

"AH! ZOMBIE!"

"I'm not a zombie! Hehehe!" Mei replied with the snap of her head as she looked up. The two girls then let out another yell that soon calmed down. Mizuki blinked and stared at the greased female that lay on the ground.

"Mei? What are you doing here?" Mizuki asked, Mina and Ochaco giving her disbelieving looks. She was ignoring the fact that the girl lay on the ground, in grease and asking the most oblivious question.

"I did it!" Mei said and jumped up, suddenly brimming with new energy. She leaned into Mizuki's face, the ash blonde female blinking. "I only have two hours of sleep in but I managed to do it!" Mizuki sweat dropped as she stared at the dark bangs beneath her eyes.

"I'm almost too afraid to ask…"

"Ta-dah!" Mei exclaimed loudly and pulled out a pair of boots from thin air. "Baby number 42! Braced boots with steam circulation manipulation!" Mei basically propped it into Mizuki's arms, crimson eyes wide.

"You're kidding… You actually finished with this?!" Mizuki asked, her eyes traveling towards the black combat boots in her hands. The footing as still the same with a few more holes on the soles of her feet but the legs differed. It had a white brace incorporated around the shin with holes on the sides to flush out the steam on her legs.

"Amazing… This is… You're amazing, Mei! Your timing couldn't be more perfect!" Mizuki was filled with excitement as she looked at the newly made combat boots. She honestly didn't think Mei would be able to pull it off on such short notice even after she said that she could take her time.

"I know I'm amazing! Hehehe!" She laughed, her big grin never leaving her face as she proudly stood, hands on her hips. "I didn't have any time to test them out so if they explode, sorry!" Mina and Ochaco paled on the side.

"It's fine. I'm…flabbergasted… How did you get Power Loader Sensei to let you make these support items for me?" Mei blinked and Mizuki paled. "Please tell me you asked permission for this…" Mei burst out laughing.

"Enjoy class!" Mei's voice was already far away as she ran off with a trail of smoke following her. The trio was shocked at the sudden speed she possessed. She vanished as fast as she appeared, leaving them with perplexed thoughts.

"Support item? You asked Hatsumi-san so make you a support item? What for?" Ochaco asked, eyes travelling towards the boots. It looked completely different than what she usually wore, the braces giving a bulky impression.

"I've been working on something new but I can't do it effectively with my current combat boots." Mizuki's eyes blazed brightly, a grin forming onto her plush lips. The boots were heavy and the designing was complex. Yet, she couldn't wait to use them!

"You both seem to have something new up your sleeves after the internship! Damn, I wish I could have something to! I'll definitely get something!" Mina said and Mizuki let out a chuckle. Ochaco gave the female a pat on her back and then walked alongside her to the changing rooms.

Five Minutes Later…

Mizuki tapped her boots onto the ground, the feeling around her lower legs heavier than what she was used to. However, it was less than she expected. She was ready to take these babies for a test run.

Did I just call them babies? Oh no, I'm turning into Mei! She thought, horror filling her system. She had a lot of questions regarding the new costume, and luckily answered them all with one statement. 'Watch and see'. She only hoped that she would be able to back her words.

She didn't have any time to test it beforehand and if she did decide to use the items, she needed to be careful. Mei had warned her that they could explode… Luckily, she had tough skin and explosions were part of her daily life.

"What's with those dumbass bracers on your legs?" Katsuki's voice reached her ears as he came in beside her, the white items catching his eye. "Won't you die at how unstylish it looks?" He mocked and Mizuki rolled her eyes.

"It can't be helped. I'll have them modified later on but right now, I have to try and see if it works. It should help me manage the temperature of my legs to prevent them overheating," Mizuki pointed out and Katsuki scoffed. It still looked ridicules to him.

He was, however, curious as to the reason behind it. She said it was to keep from overheating her legs but it only happened when she used her white explosion. It only meant that she was up to something.

"Whoa! Mi-chan! What are those?!" Izuku asked, his eyes sparkling and flushed cheeks as he stared at her new leg braces. He was glowing with amazement at the new item and she could practically see the words forming in his thoughts.

"Shut up, Deku."

"Are those leg braces? It looks hardcore!" Eijiro commented and Mizuki felt her cheeks warm up. She was receiving a ton of attention once again and she wanted to move away from their intense gazes.

Eijiro was amazed as he walked in beside her, Mizuki averting eye contact with him and made him smile. She's cute when she's acting all shy… He thought and received a playful nudge from the female, as if she knew what he was thinking.

"Y-Yeah. It's-""-to help with your overheating in your legs, right? I can see with the holes on the sides that it gives enough circulation but that means they should be heat resistant and not heavy. Otherwise it would limit movement…" Izuku kept rambling on, his finger moving in the air while the other hand seemed to hold an invisible book.

He's taking notes unconsciously?

Mizuki chuckled as she adjusted her small gauntlets on her wrists, everyone arriving at Ground Gamma where All Might was standing. Mizuki's face became serious, crimson eyes intensely looking at the pro hero.

She was reminded of everything that was told to her by Akira and the connection she made. She had deliberately told Izuku that she wanted to meet with Toshinori to see Izuku's reaction. It was only a matter of time until she found out about the connection to the number one hero.

"You're…all here!" All Might laughed loudly, a few students sweat dropping at his words. It had been an entire week since they last heard the obnoxious voice of the male and wondered what he had in store for them.

"Let's start! It's hero basic training! Long time no see, boys and girls! How've you been? For this time's hero basic training, since you've all just gotten back from your internships, we'll have some fun with a rescue training race!" He said and the twins smirked, giving each other a glance.

"If we're doing rescue training, then shouldn't we do it at USJ?" Iida loudly yelled, his bandaged arm raised as high as possible. The male wore his PE clothing, his uniform damaged and not yet repaired since the incident with the Hero Killer.

Mizuki clicked her tongue in annoyance, eyes glaring to the side. She knew she said that she wanted to hear his obnoxious voice again but she clearly forgot how it sounded. Much to her dismay, she had a small smile on her face.

For some odd reason, she was both irritated and content. He was back to his normal self and it had a large weight off her shoulders. Eijiro caught sight of the smile, his big eyes staring briefly before he too grinned.

"That place is for training for disasters. Do you remember what I said? That's right! I said 'race'! This is Field Gamma! A dense area filled with factories laid out like an intricate labyrinth! You'll break up into four, five-person groups, and go through the training one group at a time," All Might explained.

"When I send out a distress signal from somewhere inside, you'll all start at once from the outskirts of the city! It's a race to see who will rescue me first! Of course, you'll have to keep damage to the buildings to a minimum," All Might said moving his finger until it pointed at Katsuki.

"Don't point at me!"

"Well, you do always blow stuff up so…" Mizuki trailed off and received a threatening glare from her brother. She whistled innocently, unfazed by the male's temper. She gave him a smug look and he then smirked.

"I hope we can race together so I can kick your ass!" Katsuki told her and Mizuki glanced back at him. His eyes briefly widened at the passion of her crimson eyes. This was the first time he had seen her make such a face ever since preparing for U.A.

Mizuki then playfully stuck her tongue out. "I'd like to see you try, Explodo-kill!" Mizuki said and looked at Eijiro. "I won't be holding back on you either, Red!" Mizuki then walked off, leaving the two males with blank expressions.

Katsuki felt disturbed at his sister's gaze and he could feel a change. A very unsettling change. Those eyes didn't have any room for losing and almost felt predatory. He scowled. Something happened at the internship that she didn't tell him and he didn't like it one bit.

Group 1:
Iida, Izuku, Mina, Ojiro, Sero

Group 2:
Mizuki, Shoto, Jiro, Tsuyu, Aoyama

Group 3:
Katsuki, Eijiro, Tokoyami, Ochaco, Momo

Mizuki searched for her name as the teams were made known, humming in thought and keeping her arms crossed over her chest. She searched for everyone else's name before she finally found her own. Group 2.

"Mizuki, it seems that we'll be racing against each other," Shoto spoke up from behind her, the ash blonde female glancing over her shoulder. He approached her, Katsuki watching the scene with much dislike.

"Yeah, I guess so…" She then smirked darkly. "Not that it matters. You weren't able to catch me during training so I highly doubt anything will change," she told the male, confidence laced in her tone of voice.

"I will try my best," he said and Mizuki scoffed. It was only natural that he would do so. She knew that he was going to use his ice to gain an advantage but even so. She trusted that her new technique would prove to be better.

"Looks like we're going against each other!"

"I'll kill you," Katsuki replied instantly towards Eijiro's statement, his usual scowl plastered on his lips as he stared in front of him. Mizuki overheard the two and blinked before a gleam of mischief passed through her eyes.

"Hey, Red." Mizuki gestured for the male to come closer with her index finger. Eijiro blinked and approached her, the female tugging his costume to bring her near her ear. She whispered something inaudible to everyone else the male blushing as a result.

"Sorry, Bakugou! I can't lose!" Eijiro said, making a fist and challenging the male with his expression. Katsuki gave his sister an annoyed look, questions swirling in his crimson eyes. Mizuki, on the other hand, held her index finger onto her smirking lips.

It's a secret~

Shoto blinked in confusion while Ochaco and Tsuyu sweat dropped at the scene. It was clear that Mizuki and Eijiro liked each other and that there were small things they did to show their affection. Even so, no one was certain if they were dating yet.

"Alright! First group, get in place!"

The first group went to stand on their places, their faces and progress being displayed on a large screen. The rest of the class stood on top of one of the factory building's roof, everyone making themselves comfortable.

"Iida hasn't recovered yet, right? Maybe it would be better if he merely watched," Kaminari said, his face filled with worry. Luckily, it was only Iida's arms that were injured. His legs were still in fine condition.

"This group has everyone in the class with good mobility," Eijiro said and Mizuki grunted. It was definitely going to be a rather close call. Though, it depended on how well Izuku had gotten the hang of his Quirk during the internship. She wondered if he had time to develop it further.

"Hmm, perhaps Midoriya-san is at a slight disadvantage… Whenever he does something, he always gets badly injured…" Momo stated, brows furrowed as she sat and watched the green haired male stretch his legs.

"That's true. Honestly, I'm still not sure how good he is," Jiro stated, her words understandable. Mizuki was the only one who had a glimpse of his speed and mobility when they sparred back at the beach and then the usage of his Quirk at the Sports festival.

"Who do you think will win? I think Sero will be first!" Eijiro said, holding up a finger as he asked Kaminari who sat next to him. Kaminari hummed, moving his head to the side as he pondered on the thought.

"I see, but Ojiro's there, too!"
"I think Ashido. She's really athletic!"

"Deku will be last!" Katsuki bluntly stated and Mizuki let out a sigh. Of course, he was going to say that. She kept her mouth shut, having a feeling that Izuku had a good chance of taking the lead. If she said it aloud, there would be war and she didn't have energy to cope with an angry brother.

"Even if he's injured, I still think it'll be Iida-kun," Ochaco mused and Tsuyu nodded beside her as they sat and watched. It was going to be a tough call, making the match exciting. No one knew who was going to win for sure.

"Okay, here we go! Start!"

No one wasted time to advance, Sero easily taking to the sky, Mina surfing on her acid along pipelines, Ojiro using his tail to bounce and Iida running with his engines. To no one's surprise, Sero took first place.

"See? Look! In a place all jumbled together like this, it's standard practice to go up!" Eijiro shouted, a big grin plastered on his face as if he won a bet. Well, one did have an advantage if you could move in the air…but…

"It should be about time, huh?" Mizuki said, everyone's attention switching from her and then looked at the screen. Mizuki wore a smirk on her face, crimson eyes saying more than words could match.

"Wow, Midoriya?!"

Izuku was practically flying through the air, green sparks all over his body as he swiftly hopped and bounced from structure to structure. His movements had Mizuki's eyes widen and a rage filled her chest from Katsuki.

"Amazing! He's hopping…like…" Ochaco trailed off, everyone finishing the sentence in their heads. It was the most unexpected development. He was hopping like Katsuki. His movements were flued and controlled.

Mizuki felt an uneasiness wash over her. He was using Katsuki's techniques and incorporating them in using his own Quirk. It was a unique way of developing his Quirk, but it wasn't the wisest choice that he made.

Those are my moves! While I was spending my time uselessly at my internship… Again… Again! Katsuki thought angrily, gritted his teeth and clenching his teeth in anger. How dare he… How dare he!

Izu-kun, you might've found a way to use your Quirk more sufficient, but I fear that you've stepped on a landmine. Mizuki thought as she held a fist on her chest. Katsuki was nearing his limit to which he would blow and it felt worse that she expected.

Katsuki's emotional state was something she had always kept an eye on, but he had started to slip from her fingers ever since entering U.A. It felt like everything was going alright for a while. Right now, she wasn't so sure anymore. Moreover, she didn't know if there was a way to calm him down either.

"Man… First he used Mizuki's fighting style and now this…"

Mizuki's ears perked at the news. Wait what? She made sure to keep an ear open as she listened to the conversation where Kaminari and Eijiro spoke. It turned out that Izuku had used her fighting style to win against Iida in the sports festival and made the ash blonde female humming.

Izu-kun… Mizuki thought and watched as he jumped off a roof of a building, landing on unstable footing. He yelped as he fell, Mizuki's eyes widening. She was about to face palm until he managed to twirl his body, his legs digging into the side wall.

No way… That's… That's my… He dug his heels into the wall and then bounced off, hopping against the walls until he finally reached the top. It turned out that Katsuki's moves weren't the only ones he was using for mobility.

"Finish! Thank you! And congrats!" All Might presented Izuku with a sash, 'thanks for saving me', and the green haired male smiled happily. It was a close call. He nearly fell if he hadn't moved his body to the nearest wall.

"Damn! Sero was so close!"

"Yeah, it was really surprising to see Midoriya take the lead like that! I thought he was done for!" Kaminari pointed out, making a face filled with frustration. Mizuki scoffed and stood up, stretching her muscles slightly.

"Group one, you can leave the field. Next group, get ready!" All Might announced as he dismissed the first group. The results were still too shocking for everyone and it took them a few moments before seeing the next group.

"Ah, the next group is Mizuki, right?"
"Don't forget about Todoroki!"

"Mmm, Mizuki-san and Todoroki-kun. They both went to the same agency for their internship. I wonder how things will turn out…" Momo thought aloud, cupping her chin. The last time they went against each other, Mizuki was the winner but in a match to race, it was slightly different.

"Go Tsuyu-chan! Mizuki-san!" Ochaco cheered for the two females, believing that they both stood a good chance, despite being knowing very well Todoroki was also in the fray. They all had good mobility.

"This is going to be another tough call, huh? Though, I think Mizuki has something up her sleeve with her new leg braces," Eijiro commented as he looked at the screen where the ash blonde was stretching.

Mizuki, you better show me what you're hiding. Katsuki thought, crimson eyes narrowing onto the screen and a scowl forming on his lips when he saw Shoto. He didn't like it. He didn't like the new developments at all.

"Did they start? Did I miss anything?" Izuku asked, out of breath as he ran in front and up to Ochaco. Iida wasn't far behind as he came along, much less out of breath than the green haired male but just as interested.

"Looks like we're just in time Midoriya-kun!" Iida said, moving his arm robotically as he pointed at the screen. Izuku look at the screen, green eyes resting on the ash blonde female and then the duo hair coloured male.

Mizuki let out a breath as she finished stretching. She flexed her fingers, sparks appearing all over her body. She adjusted the boots for it to sit comfortably and then smirked. She looked beyond where she stood, eyes calculating possible angles.

This was the first time she was going to use her technique out in the open. She was lucky. Field Gamma was a bunch of complexed structures and little space in-between. She could use her technique for maximum three minutes.

That was without the braces. She didn't know what was going to happen while wearing the support item. It was too uncertain to push the time. She needed to reach All Might within three minutes. Easy, right?

It was going to be the first time Katsuki was going to see it. This was her first step to get closer to him. She was no longer going to stand behind him. She was going to join his side and be strong enough to stay there.

She pressed her legs into the ground, a breath escaping her as she started to heighten her temperature in her legs. Steam slowly started to seep out from the holes on the side of her white brace and she grinned.

"Ready? Go!"

Mizuki inhaled deeply, the temperature in her legs shooting. "Flash…Step!" Mizuki exploded from her spot, an ash blonde blur flying through the air. She then stepped onto one of the building's walls and bounced off with an explosion, her momentum growing.

She needed to stay calm and concentrate. The moment she let it slip, it was over. She kept her temperature high, steam exploding as she let out a small-scale explosion every time she landed. She was sure that she was making damage where she stepped. So much for keeping damage to the minimum.

"Eh? What the-? Since when can Mizuki move like that?! S-She's insanely fast!" Mineta exclaimed, pointing at the screen. Everyone's eyes were wide as they watched her bounce off at incredible speed.

"Mi-chan…" Izuku was speechless. Mizuki was copying Gran Torino's movements! He knew those angles better than anyone, after all, he was on the receiving end. He didn't know how, but Mizuki was copying him perfectly.

"Don't count Todoroki-kun or Tsuyu-chan out just yet!" Ochaco added, watching as the frog female jumped around with ease. Meanwhile, Shoto was using his ice to travel over the industrial maze and was close behind Mizuki, in second place.

"Whoa! Surfing on ice looks like so much fun!"

Eijiro was speechless as he stared at the screen. The blur of ash blonde and steam kept his attention drawn. She was covering large distances and stayed in the lead. He was amazed. Even if she was shot down by her mentor, she still managed to find a way to develop further.

Katsuki was almost gaping at the screen as he watched his sister. What the hell? How did she-? He clenched his fists tightly, a growl rumbling at the back of his throat. Why? Why won't you stay behind me? Why do you have to move out of my reach? Why don't you want to stay by my side?! Mizuki!

Mizuki tried her best to hold her concentration and kept her breathing steady. More and more steam emerged from the leg braces. She could feel the difference, the temperature easier to regulate with the steam. Unfortunately, she was reaching her limit.

It was tougher to move long distances and took more explosion power than she anticipated. She caught sight of Shoto as he surfed on his ice and clicked her tongue. She wasn't going to let him beat her. She was nearly there. She only needed a little more…

Why don't you stay by my side?! Mizuki!

Mizuki heard Katsuki's shout in her head and a painful pang in her chest interrupted her concentration. She could feel the angst and the anger coming from her brother, a sick feeling forming in her stomach.

"Ah, welcome Young-Watch out!" All Might was about to greet her before she crashed into the building, right beneath the roof. He stood frozen on the spot, blinking at the emptiness of the roof where he stood.

Mizuki cursed at the pain from the crash into the concrete. The speed she had caused her to break through the wall. She groaned, her eyes slowly fluttering open to stare at the roof above her. She nearly made it…

Her eyes shot open, a hand moving towards her chest. Something was wrong. Very wrong. She couldn't feel the overwhelming emotions anymore and swallowed thickly. Did she imagine it? No, that couldn't be. She even heard him, as if he was right next to her.

"Well, technically Young Mizuki made it first but crashed into the building below which could've meant danger for the person she saved. That said. Congratulations, Young Todoroki-kun, and thank you!" All Might said, putting the sash over the duo hair coloured male.

Mizuki let out a sigh, rubbing the back of her head. It was frustrating. At least, she managed to use her new technique with the help of her new support items. She definitely owed Mei one. She did a great job.

"Are you alright?" Shoto asked as he walked over towards the female. "Did your time run out?" He asked again, well-informed about her limits when it came to her flash step. Mizuki dusted herself off and shrugged.

"I guess so. It's harder to keep the temperature under control when I'm increasing the output of my explosions," Mizuki said and then chuckled. "I still have a long way to go, huh?" She walked off beside him, keeping her facial expression unwavering.

They went back to the rest of the group, the next group already up and ready for their challenge. She didn't have time to give her brother a bit of motivation, nor did she have time to ask him what was wrong.

"Mi-chan! T-That was amazing!" Izuku told his best friend, eyes sparkling as he beamed. "Where did you learn to move like that?!" Mizuki, who was still covered in a bit of grind from the crash, gave him a smirk.

"Did it look familiar, huh? You can thank your mentor for the inspiration," Mizuki told him, green eyes wide at the female. She put her hands on her hips, keeping her confidence gleaming in her eyes while a storm brewed in her chest.

"Midoriya-kun's mentor? I wasn't aware that you trained with him. I thought you were strictly working under Endeavor?" Iida asked in confusion, moving his arms to add to his statement. Mizuki shrugged and crimson eyes travelled towards the screen.

"I didn't." The reply was short and blunt causing everyone to sweat drop. Mizuki wasn't even attempting to give any more information. It seemed that she wasn't going to share anything regarding her new technique.

"Nah, Mizuki." Her attention was drawn towards Kaminari who wore a sadistically sweet expression and Mizuki raised an eyebrow. "Did it hurt when you fell?" He asked, the ash blonde female rolling her eyes.

"From heaven? Seriously? A pick-up line?"

"No, when you fell into the building like that. You crashed hard and lay there for a while. It must've hurt," Kaminari pointed out, everyone staring. A vein popped out of her head as her face coloured in red. She misunderstood the entire situation.

"Shut up."

"Next Team, start!"

Mizuki stared at the screen where her brother blasted off without a single moment of hesitation. He wore a threatening grin as he blasted off, most of his emotions shut off to her. She could only feel the lingering anger and agitation.

"Bakugou's probably going to take this one, huh?" Jiro spoke up as she came in from behind them, rubbing the back of her head. "Though, it looks like Tokoyami and the others aren't too far behind him."

Tokoyami was the closet to the male as he used his dark shadow to move about. Ochaco was running at full speed, her clothing made lighter. Momo used poles to jump from building to building, also nearing the lead. Eijiro was running at full speed, using his hardening to land solidly after jumping before advancing again.

"If you beat Katsuki, I'll give you something special, Red." Mizuki recalled her words and huffed. Poor male. She knew that he was going to have a hard time to catch up. It was very sadistic of her to give him a nearly impossible challenge, yet, teasing him was fun.

Not to mention the expression her brother gave her was amusing. Mizuki's face became impassive, eyes flashing with concern. He might be hiding his emotions towards her, thinking he could fool her. Yet, she knew him better than anyone else and it made her clench her fist on her chest.

I won't ever leave your side…idiot…

Later on…
Men's Changing Room…

"That was some hard training," Sato spoke up as the boys changed out of their costumes after the Hero Basic Training session. After they all received feedback from All Might, they were sent back for the rest of the day's classes.

"I need to work on my mobility," Eijiro said with a sigh as he slipped off his gear-like straps. He didn't even make it in the top three despite giving his all. Not to mention, he didn't stand a chance against Katsuki's explosive speed and would never get the reward that was promised to him…

"You must compensate for it by gathering information," Tokoyami stated as he started to adjusted his tie and then folded it neatly. Some of the others were still busy changing out of their costumes, Kaminari one of them.

"That'll put me a step behind everyone. I'm jealous of guys like you and Sero," the blonde male spoke with a whine in his voice. He was at a big disadvantage when it came to mobility and to gather information simultaneously was also a problem.

Izuku stripped himself from his shirt, his facial expression filled with worry. All Might said he wanted to talk to me, I wonder what he wants. It's a little scary. I hope it isn't about Mi-chan… Izuku thought, a frown coming onto his lips.

"Hey, Midoriya. I discovered something crazy! Come here," Mineta called the male, gesturing him to near with his hand. Izuku's trail of thoughts were interrupted. Mineta stood by the wall, a poster half torn and a hole revealed beneath.

"Look at this hole, Shawshank! It's probably thanks to the efforts of those who came before us! Next door is, you know… The girl's locker room!" He said and an electrical current shot through the men, their eyes widening.

"Stop this, Mineta! Peeping is definitely a criminal act!" Iida shouted angrily at the male while the current made Katsuki, Eijiro and Shoto freeze up. Izuku paled and swallowed thickly as he thought of who exactly was on the other side.

"My little Mineta is already a criminal act!" Mineta yelled and tore the poster away, eyes nearing the hole. "Yaoyorozi's ample yaoyoru-boobs! Ashido's slender waist! Uraraka's fine Uraraka-body! Asui's unexpected boobies! Mizuki's explosive ass-"

Everything happened too fast for anyone to realize until the damage was already done. An earphone jack punctured the male's eye. It was followed by a rush of ice, an explosion and a hardened punch that left the male immobilized.

"Let's murder him…" Katsuki said, holding his hand palms as sparks appeared and Eijiro cracked his knuckles, both having murderous expressions. Meanwhile, Shoto looked at the damage and then turned his back as if nothing happened.

Everyone paled at the trio that attacked the already dangerously bruised male. Izuku turned white as he looked at the scene. Sorry, Mineta-kun, you dug your own grave with this one. Izuku thought, knowing very well that he was as good as gone after what he said about Mizuki.

The girl's locker room…

Ochaco let out a breath as she finished taking off her costume and sighed. "Aw man, I was so close! I guess that I still need to work on my mobility more," she stated as the other girls were all busy stripping and putting on their school uniform.

Momo gave her an empathetic look. "You still did very good, Uraraka-san, but you're right. Mobility is very important…" She let her head fall, a dark cloud above her head as she suddenly gave into depression.

"What are you talking about? You did great, Yoayorozu! You were quick to think of a way to travel over the others," Jiro stated, Mina and the others nodding in agreement. The dark haired female gave them a weak look and then heard a scoff from Mizuki.

"I don't know why you're bitching and moaning. You found a way to give you speed over the others, right?" Mizuki took off her accessories. "If you keep the goal in front of you, you'll keep going until you can reach it," she curtly said and had her eyes widening.

"That's such a manly think to say!" Ochaco exclaimed, pumping a fist in the air while the other gave the ash blonde female a smile. She was very crude at times, yet when she gave advice it was sincere no matter how it was given.

"Mizuki-chan took the lead quite easily because of your new technique. You almost won if you didn't crash into the building. Ribbit." Tsuyu's words made an arrow piercing Mizuki's chest. She didn't want to think about it.

"Yeah! I was amazing! I could barely follow your movements!" Mina exasperated and Mizuki chuckled as she went to sit down. "Though, I'm still unsure how they work, it must've been those new support items that helped you."

"Speaking of new… I've been smelling something burning for a while now. Am I the only one?" Jiro asked, glancing around in confusion and with furrowed brows. The smell came to their attention, eyes darting around.

"You're right…"

"Ah, that'll be because of this." Mizuki took off her boots, the inside of them scorched and blackened as it was melted. "I guess I went a little too far for a testing session. At least they didn't explode," Mizuki said with a chuckle, the others turning white and sweat dropping.

"Y-You mean that you burned right through them during the training session?" Jiro asked in an uncertain tone of voice and Mizuki grunted. She was oblivious towards their baffled and astonished reactions as she stripped from her costume.

She was painfully aware that she was going to have to tell Mei about her poor baby that was destroyed. She assumed that she underestimated her rising temperature and that the material of the boots would need adjusting.

"Look at this hole… Next door is, you know… The girl's locker room…!"

The girls froze up at Mineta's voice that reached the girl's locker room. Their eyes snapped towards the hole in the wall that seemed to be connected to the men's locker room. Mizuki, on the other hand, was contently changing into her school uniform.

"Stop this…! Peeping is definitely a criminal act…!"

"My little Mineta is already a criminal act! Yaoyorozi's ample yaoyoru-boobs! Ashido's slender waist! Uraraka's fine Uraraka-body! Asui's unexpected boobies! Mizuki's explosive ass-" Mineta's words fell short when Jiro attacked him with her earphone jack.

It was followed by a loud rumble and the changing room trembled from the force. There was a bloodcurdling yell from the other side and the girls all stood in horror at what almost happened, their hands covering their bodies.

"Thank you, Jiro-san. Let's close this hole up immediately!" Momo said, Jiro standing on the side of the wall. Everyone was mentioned, except she and despite it being a bit of a relief, it was also an insult.

"How dare he! The indecency! I can't believe…" Mina trailed off as she caught sight of an unsettling calm ash blonde female who was finishing changing in her school uniform. "Wait, why are you so calm about this, Mizuki-chan?"

Mizuki glanced back at the female as she took out her growing strands out from her uniform. "I have a few allies that are probably already busy burying his dead ass," Mizuki hummed and everyone sweat dropped once again.

She was brutal.
