Fire and Ice outside my door
Every action, every choice has an outcome. Kagome sometimes felt she never had a choice, then sometimes she felt like she had too many. In truth, she always had two choices, and she wasn't always good at choosing.
Sometimes choices were stolen from her, choices that were meant to be hers.
The day the well closed was the day her choice was stolen. Even though Naraku died, his plan was already set in motion kicking off a set of negative reactions of what was supposed to be. He had found a way thought time, discovered what was to come, and set out the change it, even though it meant losing his own life. No one would; no one even had a clue.
The timeline had been changed, choices stolen, and the outcome would be devastating.
Some say that love conquers all, and when the red thread of fate is tied, only the devil himself can cut it.
Naraku was the devil, and the thread was almost torn, almost.
For a pair of twin eyes where watching, they knew something was not right, and they stole the chance to save not only their lives but everyone else's because they were the product of love.
They jumped thought time unseen to all and witness the day the Miko Kagome was thrown in the well, her choice in life stolen from her. But they waited, knowing it would open again, hoping she would make the right choice. Everything was wrong, and they had no clue as to what would happen; they could not bank on what they knew to be true; Naraku had changed that.
But has the days turned into years, they grew worried, time was running out.
Three years after she left, the well opened, but she did not come through. So the twins looked at each other, nodded and held each other's hand, and jumped, hoping the well would work for them.
It did.
They had a plan, and while it would take some time, they knew they could not go to her; she would not be the one to fix this. They had to find him; he had to fix this.
It would take a few years, but they were smart.
So one day, a few years after jumping down the well and avoiding the Miko, they set their eyes on a large building, and without so much as a word, they entered and made their way up, police chasing them. One reached out to open the door to the office, but he beat them to it. He stared at them, unsure, confused. The cops panting behind them, he eyes them before looking back at the two. It puzzled him so because he knew every demon who lived, and he did not know them.
"Who are you?" He asked,
They smiled.
They were his; they were hers; they were fire and ice.
