Travelling with the bear continued to be incredibly weird. He still tore through grimm exactly the same as before that wasn't really the issue. At about the half point of my travel I decided calling him bear was stupid and tedious. And that's how the struggle to find an appropriate name started.

-xXx-

"Kuma?" I asked the bear who seemed to have forgiven me for my behaviour in the town. The response I got was a shake of the head.

"Yeah it's too cutesy for you." I mused.
"Bear Grylls?" Another shot and a miss. Come on eidetic memory, don't fail me this time.

"Hercules Corona Borealis Great Wall!" I exclaimed, my plea finally resulting in something. The bear just tilted it's head at me. "It's the name of the largest structure in the universe, named after the Hercules constellation...like you!. You kinda were the biggest ursa to ever exist, and it sounds cool and powerful?" The bear grinned in pride and nodded.

Do you wish to name Void corrupted Ursa Major, Hercules Corona Borealis Great Wall?
Y/N

Shit last time I named something it was Jeff. Rest in peace my skittering friend.

Void corrupted Ursa Major successfully named Hercules Corona Borealis Great Wall!

"Well, is Hercules good as a way to shorten it?" I asked my companion. An eager nod was all I needed as an answer.

-xXx-

"Status." If I recall correctly a week has passed since… then.

Great, I'm back. Time for a new army. Or not. I need to travel by boat and hiding an army there would be annoying. I already have to smuggle Hercules. So I'll just have to wait till I get there. Uh I was so excited and now nothing. Curse you good decision making!

-xXx-

We approach the edge of the forest and walk out onto a beach. The breeze and smell is a welcome change from the forest I travelled for so long. Hercules seems to be enjoying himself, rolling in the sand and running into the ocean splashing water everywhere. The ocean itself was surprisingly calm for something eldritch grimm rest in. It had a beautiful clear blue colour, saved from the pollution it had where I came from.

"Glad you're happy about the change of scenery buddy but we need to get a move on." I say, feeling a bit bad at the disappointed look I got from him. Well we really need to if we want to arrive at a time where the ships depart. Hopefully they'll buy the excuse I have for Hercules.

-xXx-

"Who are you?" Asked a guard stationed in front of the town entrance.

"I'm John Smith, I'm here to find a boat heading to Solitas." I stated calmy. The guard then just looked at Hercules.

Hercules's response was a series of gestures which I could only guess were trying to explain everything to the man. He just kept looking at the bear with a confused look until. "And this is?"

"Ah yes I forgot to explain. He's Hercules C. Borealis, he's mute." I explained while rubbing the back of my head.

"And why does he look like… that?" He questioned. I don't blame him.

"Oh that's because of his semblance." I bullshited holding a straight face.

"Very well just watch out with your friend. Some people could mistake him for a grimm and cause panic." I get what he means, even in his mutated form he still resembles a grimm, and not many people are 10 feet tall.

"Yeah we will, thank you for the advice." I say as I begin walking into the seaside town.

This town is very different from the last one I was in. The buildings were no longer gray and overgrown. These buildings were white and mostly pristine. The whole town gave off a vibe similar to a lot of the Meditierrenean sea countries. I liked the style, but the smell of seafood annoyed me. Well let's go over to the port and look for a ship.

-xXx-

Turns out does not just walk to the docks and find what he needs. After half an hour of roaming around I decided to look for any big ship and ask near them. The docks were filled with the seafood scent even more. Everywhere you looked you could find either barrels filled with fish or dirty nets. I spotted a big ship and a man loading crates onto it.

"Excuse me sir, where is this ship headed?" I asked politely.

"Towards Anima kid." He responded while keeping up his work.

"Thanks." I said as I left. Hopefully the next ship won't be a disappointment.

-xXx-

It was. It definitely was very disappointing. Actually the next four boats I checked were. Sadly there are more destinations than I anticipated. I was on my way to the next one. Looking for anyone near it I saw a pair of horns poking out above a few crates.

"Hello? Anyone there?" I called out as I moved closer.

"Yeah right here. What do you want?" Answered a masculine voice. The figure stepped into view. He was a minotaur like faunus towering over me. He was still dwarfed by Hercules though.

"I wanted to ask where this ship was headed sir." Please let it be Sanitas.

"Solitas, the eastern peninsula to be precise." Thank fuck.

"How much would it cost to go with you?" Please I'll go for any price just don't say no, went unsaid.

"About 2000 lien. You want to get on, kid?" Thank fuck again.

"Yeah, I'll pay for two people, is that okay?" I pointed at Hercules.

"Sure, I'm Beton Topaz the captain of this fine vessel and you?" Thank fuck for the third and final time.

"John Smith and this is Hercules C. Borealis, he's mute, pleasure meeting you." I introduced us.

"Well just give me the payment and we can go on board. I'm just about finishing up with these crates." He seems friendly.

-xXx-

"Well I wish you two a happy stay aboard the Freeday, and I must go now, I have duties to attend too." The captain waved us off.

Now I need to find something to distract myself with. Well when in doubt, get drunk. Now to find a bar. "Follow me Hercules. It would be annoying if you ran off considering you can't talk." I ordered.

Well this place looks like a proper high class cruiser. The place I'm looking for will probably be somewhere around the front or back. Let's start off with the front.

During our stroll a few people gave us weird looks. Either because I don't have an arm or because one of us is a ten foot giant bear. Not sure which well I'll never find out.

-xXx-

Bingo! The bar was in the front! Well time to order the classic drink I always choose, vodka.

"Hey can we sit over here?" I asked a girl who was sitting at the bar. I prefer having someone to talk to while drunk.

"Sure I don't... " She stopped as she turned and saw Hercules. "Oh sorry he scared you, he has a case of a semblance that's always on and is a faunus. He gets into a lot of trouble because he can't speak." Hercules nodded solemnly.

"Sorry I didn't want to offend you just startled me. My name's Theodosia Amethyst. It's nice to meet you! I was named after my great grandmother, that's why my name is in such an… old style." She explained.

"I like it, it fits you. I'm John Smith and that is Hercules C. Borealis and it's nice to meet you too." I respond and order a pint of vodka.

"So where are you headed?" She questioned.

"Atlas." I answered.

"Me too! I just finished my huntress training and I'm going there to meet my family and hopefully get my first mission! I can't wait to tell them about my huntsman training. I'm actually travelling with my whole team. Maroon, Rojo and Wan of team TMRW (tomorrow)!" Jeez this girl likes the sound of her voice.

I decided to take a closer look at her considering she's a huntress. She had brown hair tied into twin ponytails. Her eyes were a deep purple in colour. She had dark skin and a face filled with freckles. She wore a yellow dress and corset. The dress reached to just above her knees below that were white pants and brown boots.

"Oh you're a huntress what's your weapon?" I played along with her excitement and glee about her profession.

"I use a claymore that shifts into a bow!" She exclaimed. Now that's a surprise.

"What do you use as ammunition?" I ask genuinely curious.

"I have some dust arrows but I mainly use my semblance." She said, Now you don't go on a rant huh? Well you have my attention.

"And what might that be?" I pressed knowing that's what she wants.

"I can create and control plant life. I need some kind of seeds as a basis though. It's incredibly versatile. Thankfully, for example from rose seeds I can make both thorn arrows and vines to restrict grimm. I love my semblance. It saved my life countless times already. What do you two do for a living?" She has an extremely good semblance, it could probably rival Weiss's in the number of uses.

"Well we are kind of hunters ourselfs. Right, Hercules?" He nodded once trying to look as cool and serious as possible. "Oh you're hunters too? What team are you from? What weapons do you use? What semblances do you have?" Rapid fire questions with her huh?

"Well we are more of a duo and to answer your two final questions. Look at him and." I extended my arm blade out as I finished speaking. "Wow, that's so cool! Is that your semblance?" Full of energy. Well it will be fun to drink with her at least.

"No, it's magic." I deadpanned. "Seriously? I thought magic was only in fairy tales! How did you learn it?" Is she for real? No way she bought that.

"I met a grimm wizard. After I managed to kill him I obtained his magic abilities!" I exclaimed to her. Using gestures as a way to make my words have more impact.

"That's so cool! You need to tell someone about this, it could help us defeat the grimm!" She has to be drunk. No way she would say that if sober right? Even Hercules is having trouble holding back his laugh.

"Have you been drinking?" I asked genuinely concerned.

"Only orange juice." She answered without skipping a beat. This will be a fun evening won't it?

-xXx-

"Theodosia you here?" I called out. We've been looking for her for fifteen minutes already. Now we decided to check the bar.

We turned the corner without hearing a response. Then we saw a ten foot bear-like creature standing next to a guy with one arm. Both seemed to be talking to our team leader.

"Theo! Why didn't you answer your scroll? We were worried for you." Said Maroon.

"Oh sorry I forgot to take it from my room." She responded. She is way too careless for a huntress.

"Well, will you introduce us to your... friends?" Rojo asked. Good save there.

"Ah yes sorry!" She said, rubbing the back of her head.

"This is John Smith-""Sup." I interjected. "-and Hercules C. Borealis, he's mute." The bear gave them a wave.

"Rojo Querida, but you can call me Roj." She winked at John with her usual flirtiness.

"Maroon Animus." Whispered my teammate.

"Wan Sfyri." I announced.

"Nice meeting you all.-""Watchout!"Shouted Maroon. Seconds later the whole ship shook. The waves became more disturbed then parted. As a huge black creature emerged from underneath. An ocean behemoth class Grimm.

-xXx-

AN: That's it for this chapter, aptly named the calm before. Hope you enjoyed it! What kind of grimm will it be? You'll see in the next chapter! Or not. No you will I'm just fucking with you all. Thanks for all the reviews, favourites and follows. Like always I would like to thank my amazing beta S. law/the boys' last branch here on !
