Chapter 13: The Wedding

May 23rd, 2003

Hatori crouched down in front of the grave and placed the flowers on it.

He looked around the quiet temple to see if anyone was around.

No one was.

He took a breath before looking back to the grave before him.

He read the name on the headstone.

The White Family

This was Erin's parent's grave.

A place he had surprisingly never been before.

It was a fact he wasn't necessarily proud to admit. He had been with Erin for so long now, and he never once had been to her parents grave.

She had invited him before, however he always gave an excuse.

He never even visited his parents grave.

The truth of it all was he always felt too guilty. Too ashamed to stand here.

He never seemed to be able to shake the idea that Erin's parents wouldn't like him. He knew his parents wouldn't approve of Erin.

Not that there was anything wrong with Erin. They just wouldn't think someone of his "status" should stoop so low.

He rolled his eyes at the thought.

Like he cared about something so trivial.

However, he didn't know Erin's parents. He didn't know what they were like.

From what Erin told him they seemed like kind people.

Which was easy to believe. If they were anything like Erin, they were probably very kind.

However, kind or not… What if they wouldn't have approved? What if they didn't?

He thought of Jirou. It took Jirou a while to finally tolerate him, let alone like him.

Getting Jirou's permission to marry Erin of course made him beyond happy… However, Jirou wasn't her father…

His eyes trailed back to the grave. If her father was alive, would he give him his blessing?

He sure hoped so.

He adjusted his weight and took another breath.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to come." He said, kneeling in front of the grave.

The warm late May breeze blew, rustling the tree leaves above.

He stared down at his hands, unsure of his next words.

"Tomorrow is the day. Finally." He said looking up. "The day I marry your daughter."

Another breath. Why was this so hard? Why was he nervous?

"I never got to meet either of you. I never knew you. You don't know me, and that saddens me. I wish… I wish I could meet you. Say thank you for bringing the most amazing person into this world." He said, running a hand through his hair. "You gave me Erin… And no thank you will ever be good enough for that."

He looked up at the sky, saw the birds flying above.

"I know I made mistakes. Probably too many to list. I know I hurt her before, and messed up… And I don't even know if you would approve of me marrying her." He said quietly.

"All I can do is let you know that I made a promise. I made a promise to myself that I would be there for her. No matter what… I came here today to tell you that…" He started to say, but paused.

Another breath.

"To tell you that I will take care of her and love her, for the rest of my life. I'll keep her safe, and make sure she keeps that smile on her face. I know I don't deserve her now… But I'm trying. And I'll keep trying. I will be the man she deserves." He said. "I know she's been through a lot, but I'll make sure nothing bad like that ever happens to her again. I promise you that. I'll stay by her side, and keep her happy… So you don't have to worry about her."

He adjusted his weight slightly. "I hope wherever you are you can hear me… I hope you know… Know how much I love Erin. How much I'll always love her. And how everyday I wake up feeling so lucky to be able to have her in my life."

He bowed his head slightly. "I hope… I hope that tomorrow when I marry her…That you are happy. I know I'll never really know, but I hope you are."

When he looked back up at the grave he was surprised to see a small bird sitting atop the stone looking at him.

They stared at each other for a moment before the bird chirped and flew off.

The motion caused one of its feathers to loosen and fall in front of where Hatori knelt on the ground.

He looked at the feather and smiled.

Hatori was never one to look too deep into things. He tended to lean towards logic and practical thinking. He didn't necessarily believe in signs… However he had a feeling that that bird came for a reason.

He grabbed the feather and looked at it.

They would be happy. He didn't know how he knew…He just knew it.

He placed the feather in his pocket and stood up. He faced the grave and bowed before walking off.

He smiled as he glanced at the sky once more.

Happiness filled him as he thought about the wedding tomorrow.

In 24 hours they would be married.

Married.

He almost didn't believe it.

He closed his eyes and smiled.

He definitely was the luckiest man in the entire world.

The sound of his phone ringing pulled him from his thoughts.

"Hello?"

"Where are you? I'm at your house and you're not here." Kazu whined from the other end of the line.

Hatori chuckled. "I had an errand to run."

"Okay, well hurry home. Because tonight I am taking you out." He said proudly.

"Taking me out?" He asked, walking back to his car.

"Of course. It's the night before you get married. Your last night of freedom. So I'm taking you out." He said as if it were obvious.

He laughed. "You taking me out? Sounds dangerous."

"I promise it'll be harmless. No strippers or red light districts."

Hatori laughed again and shook his head. "Well that makes me feel much better."

"Aright, well get home. Erin and her sister will be back soon from their nail appointment. Then you two need to say bye, because you can't see each other the night before a wedding. It's bad luck."

"How do you know so much about this?" He asked, getting into his car.

"I like weddings, okay? And I watch a lot of movies." He said.

Hatori smiled. "Alright, I'm on my way."

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

"Oh don't forget to pack pajamas." Suki said.

Erin nodded. "Don't worry I won't." She said, placing a pair in her overnight bag.

"Is there a reason we're staying at Jirou's tonight?" She asked.

Suki laughed. "Duh, you can't see Hatori before the wedding. That's bad luck!"

Erin laughed as well. "I never pegged you for being superstitious."

"Hey, I'm looking out for you. Besides, this is our last night that all three of us will be together, unmarried, all sharing the same last name. It'll be so much fun!" She said excitedly.

Erin smiled. "It sounds fun."

"I bet Jirou got lots of good snacks, and he'll most definitely cook for us." Suki said.

"Well all Jirou does is snack so I'm sure he'll have good snacks." Erin laughed.

"He does snack a lot. So unfair. If I ate as much as him I would gain so much weight." She sighed before watching Erin grab her bag. "Ready?" She asked.

Erin nodded. "Yup."

"Good, let's go." She said, extending her hand.

Erin smiled and held on to it. Suki led her out to where Hatori and Kazu were talking.

They both looked over at them and smiled.

"Do you have everything you need?" Hatori asked, his blue violet eyes glancing at her up and down.

She nodded.

"Good." He said with a smile. "I'll see you tomorrow then?"

A rush of nervous butterflies coursed through her. Her face turned red and she nodded. "Yes, tomorrow."

He smiled and kissed her forehead. "You have fun."

She nodded once more. "You too. Don't let Kazu do anything too crazy." She laughed.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of him. And I promise to keep the shenanigans to a minimum." Kazu said, a wide grin on his face.

She laughed. "I don't know if I believe that."

"I don't either." Hatori laughed.

"Oh come on, have more faith in me you two." He said before looking over at Suki. "Suki, darling, please tell them they should put more trust in me."

Suki laughed. "Have more trust in Kazu. He's very responsible."

Erin and Hatori laughed.

"Alright, alright. I'll trust you Kazu." Erin said, giving him a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Of course. I wouldn't miss this for the world. Hatori Sohma getting married? God, I thought it would never happen. I actually want them to make it a national holiday." He laughed.

Hatori laughed as well and rolled his eyes. "You act like I have no social skills."

Kazu shrugged before looking back down at Erin. "Get good rest tonight. You don't wanna look tired for the big day."

"I will. Make sure I get him back in one piece." She said, giving him a look.

"Don't worry, one piece." He said before tousling her hair.

She nodded before walking over to Hatori and giving him a tight hug.

"You're not going to get cold feet right?" She asked.

He shook his head. "Not in a million years."

"Good."

"Tomorrow then?" He asked.

"I'll be the one in white." She said with a smile.

His heart began to race at the thought. He returned the smile. "Alright. I love you."

"I love you too." She said before looking at Suki who was looking at something. "You ready?" She asked.

Suki's blue eyes met hers and she smiled. "Ready." She said before looking at Hatori. "See ya Hatori. You too Kazu."

"Pleasure as always Suki." Kazu said, waving bye.

They walked out and Suki laughed. "So fucking hot."

Erin bursted into laughter. "Suki! Kazu isn't hot."

"Yeah, okay and the sky isn't blue." She laughed, getting into the car.

The drive to Jirou's house wasn't long. "I can't believe you and Jirou live so close. I'm jealous." Suki said as she parked.

"Hey, you shouldn't have moved so far away." Erin said.

"Yeah I guess. But I couldn't live here. You're like a half hour from the city. And it's so quiet out here." She said, looking around at all the trees. "I mean why would Hatori choose a house so removed from the busyness of the city?"

Erin thought about it. "I don't know. And you know some people like the quiet." She laughed.

"Oh good, you two are here." Jirou's voice came from the front door.

Erin smiled at him. "Of course. I was just educating Suki on how some people enjoy life outside a busy city."

"Well she is a New Yorker now." Jirou laughed.

"That I am. And I would go absolutely crazy if I lived in a quiet place like this." She said, gesturing to the quiet woods. "Besides, aren't you worried Jason is gonna show up?"

Erin tilted her head. "Jason? The bear?"

Her siblings gave her a questionable look before laughing.

"The bear?" Jirou asked, between his laughs.

She blinked. What was so funny?

"Yeah, isn't that who Jason is? A bear?" She asked, however she was starting to doubt that.

Suki laughed. "Erin, who told you that?"

She wilted. Shigure told her that years ago. Back when she was still staying at his house. She should've known he was messing with her.

"Shigure… Hatori's cousin told me that." She said.

Jirou tousled her hair. "No Erin. Jason is a character from a horror movie. You know, Friday the 13th?"

She shook her head. She didn't watch scary movies.

"It's about a bunch of camp counselors in the woods and then he shows up and kills them. You know the woods look just like these." Suki said.

Erin's eyes widened slightly as she looked around. "Is it a true story?"

Jirou laughed slightly. "Of course not. It wasn't even a good movie."

"Speak for yourself. It's a classic." Suki corrected. "We should watch that tonight." She said as they walked inside.

Erin looked up at Jirou. "Do you actually think there's murderers in the woods?" She'd never actually thought about it before.

"Of course not. Besides, even if there are, I'm a police officer remember? I have a gun." He said with a smile.

She laughed slightly. "Well that's comforting I guess."

"Jirou you got good snacks?" Suki asked, walking into the kitchen.

"Of course. What do you girls want?" He asked.

"Do you have chips?" Erin asked.

Jirou nodded. "Yeah I'll get them for you. However, don't eat too much. You'll ruin your appetite for dinner. I was gonna order pizza."

Erin's eyes lit up. "Pizza sounds awesome."

They had their snacks and Jirou ordered the pizza.

When it arrived they settled in front of the TV as Suki put on a movie.

They talked and laughed throughout the movie.

Erin looked at the two of them watching the movie. The TV light reflecting in their blue eyes. She smiled.

She was so happy that she could be with the two of them like this.

She rested her head on Suki's shoulder. "I love you guys." She said softly, rubbing her eyes.

"Aw Erin, we love you too." Suki said happily, giving her a squeeze.

Erin smiled as she went back to watching the movie, her eyelids growing heavy.

As the movie neared the end Jirou got up to put the snacks away.

He wasn't gone long, but when he came back he found both of his sister's completely asleep in front of the still playing movie.

He laughed slightly. "Well now they'll miss the best part." He said, shaking his head.

He covered Suki up with a blanket, before turning to cover Erin up as well.

As he covered her up she stirred and looked up at him sleepily. "Jirou?" She asked.

"Yeah it's me." He said with a smile. "I don't want you getting cold."

She relaxed and nodded. "Hatori call?" She asked.

He shook his head. "Is he supposed to?"

She dropped his gaze. "No. No I'm… I'm waiting for him to realize I'm not worth all this."

He gave her a look. "Erin, don't be ridiculous. You are."

She shrugged before rubbing her eyes.

"Don't shrug. You are, trust me." He said before picking up her stuffed octopus. He studied the toy before speaking once more. "You know, before Hatori proposed he asked me for permission." He said quietly.

Erin met his gaze once more. "Really?" She didn't know that.

He nodded as he placed the octopus back in her hands."Yeah. He asked me."

"Did you say no?"

He laughed softly. "Obviously not. I said yes, but I of course laid out some conditions naturally."

"What were they?"

"Typical things. He had to treat you right, and realize he was the luckiest man in the entire world." He said, leaning back on his hands.

He smiled. "You know what he told me?"

Erin sat up slightly. "What?"

"He said that he loved you more than anything. And that you were a light in his life." He said.

Erin's face warmed.

"Now I know Hatori and I have had our ups and downs. However if there is one thing I've always known, even if I've tried to deny it, Is that that man loves you. He looks at you like… Like you're the only person in the whole world. Like he stops breathing every time you enter a room." He said with a smile. "Hatori is your person, and you're his person. He would never have second thoughts. Trust me. So don't worry about things like that." He said, laying her back down.

She smiled. "You really think so?"

"I know so. Now go to sleep. You need rest, you have a big day tomorrow." He whispered, covering her up once more.

She nodded sleepily. "Kay…" she said before drifting off to sleep.

He smiled, before turning off the TV and laying down between them.

He was excited for tomorrow.

It's been a hell of a ride, but she finally made it.

The thought made him happy as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

May 24th, 2003

"Well don't you look nice?" Kazu said happily.

Hatori tore his gaze from the mirror and looked over at him. To his surprise Kazu was actually dressed quite nicely.

"I should be saying that about yourself. I didn't know you owned a nice suit like that." He said, looking at him up and down.

Kazu laughed. "What makes you say that?"

"Well you did steal my dress shoes for that dinner with Dr. Sato." Hatori said, retying his tie.

"Hey, that was only because I forgot my dress shoes and I know you always pack like 4 pairs. Besides, it works because we're the same shoe size." He said with a smile.

Hatori made a humming noise before staring at his tie once more.

"Uh oh. What's wrong?" Kazu asked.

He sighed. "Nothing, I'm fine."

"Oh yeah, you sound it."

"I just… Is my tie straight?" He asked, turning to face him.

Kazu laughed. "Hatori, you wear a tie everyday. Now is when you forget how to do one?"

"I didn't forget I just…" He said trailing off.

Kazu looked at his friend. "Oh, you're nervous."

"I'm not nervous." He deadpanned.

"Yes you are. Don't worry, nerves are normal." Kazu said, leaning against the wall.

"I just want everything to be perfect." He said.

"Don't worry it'll all go great. I promise." Kazu said, trying to placate him.

Hatori nodded. "I hope so."

"Come on, this place is amazing, the weather is perfect, everyone is happy, and you're about to marry like the most perfect girl in the whole world." He said, as if it were obvious.

Hatori smiled. "You're right. I am worried about Erin though. If I'm nervous she's probably extremely nervous. There will be a lot of people and she hates that. She also hates being the center of attention, and I didn't see her last night so I don't even know if she slept good or is feeling well or-"

"Hatori. Hatori, do you want me to check on her? Because I can." Kazu interceded.

Hatori glanced at his hands briefly. "If you wouldn't mind."

"Of course I wouldn't mind. Don't worry I'll check up on her. Even though I'm sure she's perfectly fine." Kazu said. "You worry too much, you know that?"

"I know, I just don't like not knowing if she's alright or not." He said, adjusting his cufflinks.

"Yeah I know. I'll go check on her. Just relax. Everything will be fine." He said before leaving.

Hatori looked at himself in the mirror once more. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I hope you're not getting cold feet." A familiar voice said.

Hatori turned to see Shigure in the doorway.

He laughed slightly. "I promise I'm not."

"Alright, good. However, as your friend I can get you out if you need." He said, sticking his hands in his pockets.

"No. But thank you for the offer." Hatori said, looking around him. "Aya not with you?"

"He's helping Erin with her dress. I have to say I am very excited to see her. It's all Aya's been talking about for the past month." Shigure said with a smile.

"I'm excited as well." Hatori said, walking over to him.

"You know, I have to say, I'm really happy for you." He said.

Hatori was surprised at him being genuinely serious. Shigure was rarely serious.

"Thank you." He said with a smile.

"I mean I always knew you were the most eligible one in the family." He smirked.

Hatori laughed and rolled his eyes. "Please. I don't think that's true."

"No, it's definitely true. I'm sure you're leaving a long line of broken hearts behind you." He laughed. "Me included."

"Oh I'm sure."

"Hey it's true. I barely see you anymore. Now you'll be married, and I really won't see you." Shigure whined.

"Don't worry, you'll still see me." He said with a slight smile.

Shigure thought about that. "You're right. You can't get rid of me that easily. Besides now that you and Erin are married, you'll soon need a babysitter. I'm great with kids."

Hatori's smile instantly vanished and he gave Shigure a look.

Shigure laughed. "Uh oh. Too soon?"

Hatori adjusted his cuff links once more. "Let's just get through today first."

"Alright Doc. However, I do like to imagine what a baby you would look like. Probably come out with a scowl- hey you're doing it right now." He laughed.

"Shigure." He said in a warning tone.

He lifted his hands in surrender. "Alright, Alright. Get through today."

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

"Ow!" Erin exclaimed.

"Oh shush. You're fine." Suki said.

"I think you just poked my eye out." She laughed.

"It's mascara. Don't you use mascara?" She asked.

Erin shrugged. "Once or twice. Do I really need it?"

Suki sighed. "Well given the fact it's your wedding, yes."

"Just make sure you're not going too crazy." Erin said, trying to reign in her sister.

"Don't worry Erin, you'll look beautiful." Kat said looking over Suki's work.

"I seriously doubt that."

"Shush. No more talking, you'll mess me up." Suki said.

"Okay, okay." Erin said, trying to sit still.

Something that was easier said than done, considering she was extremely nervous. She could barely breathe. In a very short time she'd have to walk, and stand, and speak in front of a crap ton of people.

She gripped at the bottom of her robe anxiously.

Why did they have to have a big wedding? Couldn't they just get married at home? In front of no one?

A knock at the door pulled her from her thoughts.

"I come bearing the dress!" Ayame's excited voice came from the door.

Kat lit up. "I'll let him in."

She let him in and Ayame laid out the big bag that held the dress. "I promise you Erin, it's just as perfect as when you tried it on." He said excitedly.

She smiled. "I'm sure it is."

"Well don't just sit there. Let's get you in it!"

Erin got into the dress and stared at her self as Ayame fastened the buttons down the back.

She smiled. She looked…

Well beautiful. She almost didn't believe it was her reflection in the mirror.

The scrawny freckle-faced girl that usually looked back at her was gone. In her place was some beautiful young woman. "Is that actually me in the mirror?" She asked.

"Of course it is." Suki laughed, looking over her. "God Erin, this dress is stunning."

"Oh well, Ayame is really talented." She said, not taking her eyes off of her reflection. Her eyes studied the laced top and sleeves and the lace roses all around them.

"Well that I am. Like I said before. This dress is my best work." He said proudly.

"Here let me put the hairpiece in." Kat said, holding up the silver hairpiece.

Erin looked at the shiny metal flowers with sparkling crystals. "It's beautiful."

Kat smiled. "It was my mothers."

Erin's eyes widened. "Katsumi, I can't…"

"No please. I want you to wear it. She wore it to her wedding." She said happily.

"But…"

"No buts. Jirou said you didn't have one. So wear this one. Please."

Erin looked at her and smiled. "Alright. But only if when you and Jirou get married, you wear it too."

Her smile grew. "Of course. Now let me put it on."

Erin bent down slightly so she could slip the hairpiece in her bun.

"There. It looks perfect." She said happily.

Erin looked at the sparkling hair piece in the mirror and smiled. "I don't know what to say."

"Well thank you should cover it." Kat said, looking at her reflection.

"Thank you. Really." Erin said, giving her a hug.

Kat smiled and hugged her back. "Don't mention it."

A knock on the door pulled them from their moment.

"Is it alright if I come in?" Kazu said from the other side.

"Yeah you can." Erin called.

The door opened and he walked in. "Sorry, I was worried you would be chang-" He started to say before he stopped.

Erin looked back at him staring at her with a blank expression.

"Do I look bad?" She asked, worry building up in her.

He blinked before shaking his head. "No. Not at all…" He said before smiling. "Little miss, you look stunning. I think Hatori might pass out when he sees you.

Erin's face warmed. "No, I don't think I look that nice." She said quietly.

"Are you kidding me? You look amazing!" He said, looking at her up and down.

"Well thank you." She said with a smile. "What brings you here?"

"Oh Hatori was worried about you. He wanted to make sure you weren't nervous." He said.

"Oh…" She said, looking at the ground.

Kazu glanced at the girls talking with Hatori's cousin before looking back at her. "So are you?"

"Am I what?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Nervous?" He asked.

She stared at her hands. "I'm terrified." She whispered.

He smiled softly and gave her hand a squeeze. "Hey, don't think about everyone else, okay? Just focus on Hatori. Trust me, you won't notice anyone else."

"I'm gonna fall."

"You won't fall. Everything will be just fine. I promise." He said, trying to placate her.

"You sure?"

"Of course I'm sure." He said proudly.

"Was Hatori actually worried about me?" She asked.

"Of course. He was trying to get his tie straight."

Erin laughed slightly. "He wears a tie everyday."

"That's what I told him."

Erin nodded and took a breath. "Tell him I'm fine and I wasn't nervous at all."

"I think he'll see through that lie." He said.

"Maybe. But it'll make him feel better." She said.

"Alright. Well I should go back to him. I will see you soon alright? And just relax okay? It'll be fun." He said calmly.

"I'm relaxed. Don't worry about me." She said with a smile.

"Alright. Next time we talk, you'll be married." He said with a smile, taking one last look at her.

She smiled and nodded. "You won't be able to call me little miss anymore."

"Oh no. You'll be little miss forever. Little Mrs. doesn't have a good ring to it." He laughed.

"Fair enough. Thanks for checking up on me." She said.

"Hey, what are friends for?" He asked, giving her one last smile before leaving.

"Come on Erin, let's finish up. It's gonna start soon." Suki said excitedly.

Erin nodded and walked back over to them.

Next time I talk to you, you'll be married.

Married.

In just a little bit, she'll be married.

Something she reminded herself of constantly.

Married.

She smiled.

She was nervous, but she would get through it.

Because at the end of the day, her and Hatori would be married.

And that was all that mattered to her.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Erin's eyes widened. "Why are there so many people?"

"Erin, you invited them." Suki said.

"It seems like a million people now. It's one thing when they're just names on a list… But like now it seems like so many." She whined before starting to pace.

"Erin, don't be so nervous. You'll be fine." Suki said, trying to calm her.

Remember what Kazu said. It'll all be fine.

However, the nerves seemed intent on swallowing her.

You said you would get through the nerves. Think of Hatori. You can't be nervous.

She took a breath and held it, but it didn't help. Her mind raced, and she felt her chest tighten.

She can't do this.

She just can't. She'll make a complete idiot of herself.

It just won't-

"You look nervous." A familiar voice said, grabbing her wrist.

She turned to see Jirou looking down at her.

Tears stung at her eyes. "I'm gonna mess up. I can't-"

"Erin. Relax, it's okay." He said calmly.

She shook her head. "It's not. There's so many people. And… And…" She said before making a whimpering noise.

"Hey. Hey, look at me. Just look at me." He said, resting his hands on her shoulders and leaning down to look her in the eyes. "Just breathe. Okay? Everything is fine. I'm right here."

"I'm… I'm gonna fall."

He looked at her and smiled. "I won't let you fall."

"Promise?"

"I promise. I'll be right there next to you. I won't let you fall." He said. "Don't you trust me?" He asked.

She nodded.

"Good. Then you know I wouldn't lie to you." He said.

"I know." She said, taking another breath, finding her chest didn't feel so tight anymore.

"Come on you two, we're starting." Suki said happily.

She looked up at Jirou who held out his arm. "Come on. Let's get you married."

She grabbed his arm. "Alright just don't let go."

"I won't."

Before she knew it they were at the door.

The ceremony was outside in the large garden. She looked down the path to see all the chairs where everyone was seated.

She gulped before stepping out.

She tightened her grip on Jirou's arm as they slowly walked towards everyone.

It was bright. The afternoon sun streamed down. She felt the sun on her hair.

She could hear the music, see everyone stand, see them all look at her…

They were all looking at her.

Anxiety filled her.

Don't fall.

Don't fall.

Don't-

However, her thoughts stopped when they reached where everyone was seated.

She saw the wisterias first. The bright purple flowers hanging gracefully over the large archway.

It was then when her gaze went down and she saw him.

Hatori.

She met his gaze.

At that moment, she forgot about everyone else.

Every bit of anxiety and nervousness she had, completely vanished.

It was like her and Hatori were the only ones there. All she could think about was getting to him.

Hatori blinked as he looked at her.

As he looked at her… it was like everything stopped.

His heart stopped.

His breathing stopped.

She looked….

She looked….

Absolutely.

Undeniably.

Breathtakingly.

Beautiful.

She looked like some kind of angel. Like she wasn't even real.

This wasn't a dream right?

Was this actually happening?

Her big brown eyes met his at the other end of the aisle.

Upon looking at her… Making eye contact with her… He couldn't help it.

Tears rolled down his face.

He smiled, and she smiled back.

A smile that seemed to light up the entire world. One that sent her eyes a light.

A smile that sent everything back into motion.

His heart raced.

His face warmed.

Tears continued to fall down his face.

This was real.

This was really happening.

He wasn't dreaming.

Everything he ever wanted… Every dream, every wish he had ever had…

It was right in front of him.

She was right in front of him.

Walking towards him.

He glanced down and wiped the tears away, chuckling to himself softly.

It took all of the self control he had not to run to her.

Run to her, hold her tight and never let go.

He looked up and noticed she was closer.

Her face was red, but she didn't look nervous.

She looked happy.

So unbelievably happy.

The closer she got, the more beautiful she became.

He took a deep breath as he tried to keep the tears at bay.

She was almost to him.

Just a few steps away.

5

She tightened her hold on Jirou's arm.

4

She smiled and looked to the ground, her face completely flushed.

3

Her brown eyes met his once more, and that stubborn piece of hair fell into her face.

2

His heart quickened as he felt himself step forward slightly, desperate to close the distance between them as soon as possible.

1

Almost there.

0

Finally.

She was standing right in front of him. Up close she looked like she came straight from a dream, and he found himself having to remind himself once more that this was real. That he was really this lucky.

She looked up at him and smiled.

He of course was smiling as well. He hadn't stopped since he saw her.

He shifted his gaze to Jirou who gave him a smile and a nod.

Jirou glanced at his arm Erin was holding. He didn't let go. He waited for her to let go. When she did, he watched her grab Hatori's extended hand.

Relief flooded Erin as she reveled in the familiar feel of Hatori's hands.

He was steady, reassuring, just as he's always been.

Before she came out here she had been so nervous she couldn't speak. Now that she saw him… Now that he was here… All her worries disappeared. With him she felt safe. With him, she felt like she could do anything.

She gave his hands a squeeze as they took their places in front of everyone.

Erin didn't like to admit it, but she wasn't listening to a word that was being said. All she could focus on was how handsome and how amazingly perfect Hatori looked standing in front of her.

She looked at the light pink rose pinned to his suit and his tie that matched.

She smiled as she of course instantly recognized the tie.

He caught her gaze and she felt his thumbs graze across her hands.

He mouthed something to her. She tilted her head slightly, not catching it.

He tried again and she understood it.

You're beautiful.

She felt her face heat once again.

She hoped the makeup she was wearing concealed her blush somewhat. She didn't want to look like a tomato the whole night.

She got so caught up in her thoughts, that before she realized it the rings were brought up. Which meant it was time for vows.

Erin's heart started to race at the idea of talking in front of all these people.

As if sensing this, Hatori laced his fingers with hers.

He gave her the smallest of nods. One only she would notice.

He didn't have to speak. She knew what he was saying.

It's okay. I'm here.

She watched him take the silver wedding band and grab her left hand.

"I, Hatori, take you, Erin, to be my lawfully wedded wife." He started to say. Erin looked into his eyes, determined to hold on to every word he said. "I promise to love and cherish you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep myself only unto you, for so long as we both shall live." He said, slipping the ring on her finger.

Butterflies rushed her.

Hatori had a talent for saying so many words so effortlessly. He never stumbled over his words.

She should've gone first. She really didn't want to follow his perfect vows.

She should've practiced more. It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway though. However, at least she could say she tried.

What if she forgot the vows?

What if-

"Erin." Hatori whispered, pulling her from her thoughts.

She looked up at him and he glanced at the ring.

Her face burned as she realized she completely zoned out. So much for not looking like a tomato.

"Right, sorry." She said quietly, picking up the silver band.

Don't drop it Erin. That would be so embarrassing.

She shuffled her weight slightly, giving the ring a twirl in her hands.

"I, um Erin, take you, Hatori, to be my lawfully wedded husband." Oh fuck she already messed up. She stared at the ground. "I… I'll love you and cherish you forever, in good times and bad times too… I'll take care of you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer… And for better or worse." She swallowed. This was a train wreck. An absolute train wreck. "Keep myself… only to you, for as we both shall live." She said, picking up the pace at the end, to get them over with.

She inwardly sighed as she looked up to put his ring on. Although he probably was having second thoughts after that dumpster fire of a vow reading.

However, she stopped when she saw the look on his face.

She saw tears in his eyes, his smile wide.

He looked so happy. Happier than she had ever seen him.

It was like she just said the most eloquent, amazing, perfect vows ever.

She smiled back and slid the ring on his finger.

"I love you." She whispered softly.

"I love you too." He whispered back.

Finally the ceremony was finished and they were allowed to kiss.

Hatori rested his hands on her sides and pulled her close. He pressed his lips on her gently, however she could feel his heart racing in excitement.

She smiled as she kissed him back.

Everyone clapped and cheered as they pulled apart.

Erin giggled slightly as her smile grew.

She looked up at him, and clapped her hands together. "We did it!" She said excitedly.

"Yes we did. We're married." He said happily.

"Married!" She said, jumping up and down slightly.

He cupped her cheek. "I love you Erin."

She leaned into his hand. "I love you too Hatori."

She stood on her toes and kissed him once more.

And in that moment…

Everything was perfect.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

"Okay, I didn't fall in the ceremony, you can't let me fall now." Erin whispered as Hatori led her to the dance floor.

"I won't. Besides, I thought you loved dancing." He smiled.

"What makes you say that? I hate dancing. Especially when everyone's watching." She said looking around at everyone.

"Ah I knew it was the wine talking." He laughed slightly.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Just relax, pretend everyone else isn't here." He said, placing his hands on her waist.

The music started and they slowly danced around.

She smiled. "Oh, nice tie by the way." She whispered.

He looked down at it. "Oh this one? It's my favorite."

"Oh is it?"

"Yes. If my memory serves a certain someone picked it out for me."

She laughed. "If my memory serves, you didn't want to get it. And you've never worn it before now."

"I was skeptical at first. But you were right. And as for not wearing it? Well I just haven't been to an occasion special enough for it." He said as if it were obvious.

"I see." She said as they danced around.

She rested her head on his chest.

"You look absolutely beautiful tonight." He said softly.

"You look pretty handsome yourself. You look perfect." She said.

He smiled. "Thank you."

"I'm sorry I messed up on the vows."

"You messed up?" He asked, looking down at her.

"Uh yeah, I stuttered, and forgot some words." She whispered.

He shrugged. "I didn't notice. I thought you did amazing." He kissed her forehead. "It doesn't matter what you said. We got married. And by saying your vows means you wanted to marry me… Nothing could make me happier."

"Well we're married now. You're stuck with me. No turning back now." She said happily.

"Wouldn't dream of it." He said, his blue violet eyes alight with happiness.

The song ended and everyone clapped.

Erin took a breath. The two scariest parts were over. Now she could relax, hopefully.

The music sped up and people moved to the dance floor.

"Erin!" A voice called.

Erin turned and her face lit up. "Tohru!" She said excitedly running up to her. She grabbed her hands. "I haven't seen you in so long!"

"It has been so long! You look beautiful!" She said happily.

Erin twirled around. "Thank you." She said before looking up at the familiar orange haired boy behind her.

"Kyo." She smiled.

"Hey Erin. Congratulations." He said, returning the smile.

"Dojo going well?"

"It is. Busy, but good."

"Good. I'm glad. We have so much to catch up on!" Erin said, looking back at Tohru.

"Yes, you'll need to come visit soon! We'd love to have you and Hatori over." She said happily.

"Of course. You just let me know, and I will make it happen. I'll force Mr. Workaholic to take a day off." Erin said with a smile.

"Perfect!" She said happily.

From across the dance floor Hatori talked to Ayame and Shigure.

"I'm telling you Tori. I simply outdid myself with Erin's dress. It took a long time to make, but I wanted to make sure every detail was perfect. You should've seen her face when she first tried it on." Ayame babbled.

Hatori smiled, looking back at her briefly. "She looks amazing. Thank you for making it for her."

"Well of course." He said happily.

"I have to say. I can't believe you're married. Aya did you ever think it would happen?" Shigure teased.

"Oh of course. Tori here is the most eligible out of all of us. I mean just look at him." Aya smiled.

"You're right. Well Hatori, I hope you enjoyed freedom. Because you will never see it again." He sneered.

Hatori laughed and rolled his eyes. "Yes, well you two aren't exactly free either. You're both in relationships."

"That is true." Shigure smiled, placing his hands in his pockets.

"I hope I'm not interrupting."

Hatori looked over to see Kazu walking up to them. He smiled. "Of course not. Shigure, Ayame, this is Kazu. He's my partner at the clinic. Kazu, these are my cousins."

Kazu bowed his head. "Nice to meet you."

Shigure looked at him. "I've seen you before… Where was it…" He said thinking. He snapped his fingers. "Your graduation from med school."

"Oh yes. Kazu and I went to school together."

Shigure smiled. "Oh I bet you have all the good stories of Doc here in college."

Kazu laughed. "Oh, do I. I bet you have all the good stories of Hatori when he was little."

"Of course I do. I'm sure you haven't heard the story of the time Hatori cried on the Ferris wheel at a carnival." Shigure laughed.

"No I haven't. How old was he?" Kazu asked.

"Like 12." Shigure laughed.

"Shigure. One more word and I'll start telling your embarrassing stories." Hatori said in a warning tone.

"Alright, alright. We'll exchange these later."

Kazu smiled. "Of course."

"Hey there you are." Erin said, walking over to them. "Hello Shigure. Hello Ayame."

"Erin, a sight for sore eyes as always. I'm so glad to see you. I'm afraid Hatori is quite the Erin hog. Not that I can blame him." Shigure said. "Congratulations."

"Thank you. It's good to see you too." She said happily. "It's been a while. I'm glad you could come."

"Of course. I couldn't miss this."

She smiled as her gaze found Kazu.

Her eyes lit up. "Kazu! I didn't fall!" She said excitedly.

He laughed. "I told you you wouldn't."

"I know but I didn't actually believe you." She laughed.

"Well now you'll know to believe me when I tell you something." He said happily.

"I'll never doubt you again." She said, before looking over at the appetizers being served.

She looked up at Hatori. "I'm gonna get some food. Do you want anything?" She asked.

He smiled. "Don't worry about me, you go."

She nodded. "Kazu, you wanna come with me?"

"Of course. I'm starving." He said.

Hatori watched them walk off.

"Never thought I'd see Erin so comfortable around someone other than you." Shigure said, watching the two of them talk and laugh.

"Kazu is around a lot. He's basically family." Hatori said.

"She's grown a lot." Shigure said, looking back at him.

"She has." Hatori said proudly.

"I mean what I said before. I'm happy for you." Shigure said with a smile.

"Yes Tori, we couldn't be prouder."

Hatori looked at his cousins and smiled.

The three of them continued to talk and Erin eventually came back with food. The party continued, and soon they were all seated to eat dinner.

Which was good, considering Erin was excited to eat. The appetizers didn't do much to fill her.

However, before the food was served a familiar voice started speaking over a microphone.

"Before everyone eats I would like to make a small toast." Hatori said.

She looked next to her. She didn't even notice he got up. She looked at him standing in front of everyone.

She didn't know he was going to make a toast.

He made eye contact with her and smiled before clearing his throat.

"I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone for coming today." He said, adjusting his grip on the microphone.

"Today is a day… Well it was one that I never dreamed of having. There was a time in my life that I never imagined I would be lucky enough to get married. Never lucky enough to find someone as amazing and as special as Erin. And there was definitely a time where I wouldn't have been able to say that in front of many people." He said, laughing softly.

"Kazu once told me life had a set path for everyone. That we all walked down this path. The path life carved out for us. Whether we like it or not. We all have a purpose in life. A reason for existing."

"Now when he told me this back in college, well I thought he was crazy. Life wasn't like that. I was sure of it. There were no set reasons. No greater purpose… At least that's what I thought."

"However, then I met Erin." He said, looking over to her. "Meeting her… Falling in love with her… It made me realize that life did have a set path for us." He said, his smile growing. "The path was long, hard, tiring, and full of wrong turns and dead ends. I wish the road was easier, I wish the journey hadn't been so hard. But whether the path was easy or hard, it all led me to my purpose. My reason for existing." He said, meeting her gaze

"Erin, You are, and always will be, my purpose. My reason."

"I want to go down this path of life with you by my side. I don't know what will happen or where it may lead us. All I know is that I want you there with me, and I want to keep moving forward with you. For the rest of our lives and whatever comes after that." He said, dropping his gaze briefly. "And now that we're married, we'll be able to do that."

He raised his glass and looked at her once again. "A toast, to my beautiful wife. Erin, I love you, and I can't wait to share this amazing journey of life with you."

Everyone raised their glasses and cheered.

Erin felt tears roll down her face as she looked at Hatori.

Her whole face burned from his words.

My wife.

He said my wife.

She was his wife.

Which made him her husband.

A smile spread across her face as she wiped away the tears.

He walked back over to her and sat in his seat next to her. "How did I do?" He asked, holding her hands.

"Well you made me cry." She laughed, wiping a stray tear away.

"A good kind of cry I hope."

"Of course. It was amazing. This whole day is amazing. I can't believe we're married. This has to be some kind of dream." She said, giving his hands a squeeze.

"If it is, I never want to wake up." He said, kissing her hand.

She laughed. "Me neither."

The food was served and everyone ate and talked.

As they ate, multiple family members and guests came up to say hello, and congratulate them on their marriage.

"Erin, sweetie, you look breathtaking!" Her Gram said excitedly, walking up to her.

Erin stood up. "Gram! Thank you!" She said, giving her a hug.

"Now, I told myself I wouldn't cry but… You look so much like your mother." She said, tears falling down her face.

Tears burned in Erin's eyes as well. "Gram, if you cry, I'll cry."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. I just wanted to come tell you I love you, and that your mother and father are most definitely so proud of you right now." She said.

"I know they are. I wish they could be here." Erin said, looking at her feet.

"Don't worry. They're here, just in a different way." She said, placating her. "Now I'l let you eat. I don't want to be a bother."

"You aren't a bother. I really hope you're enjoying everything. Oh! You can't understand anything!" Erin said, the realization hitting her.

She waved it off. "Don't worry. I'm having Suki translate for me. Everything has been wonderful honey. I'm so happy for you two."

"We are very happy to have you here." Hatori said, walking up to join them.

Her Gram smiled. "You two make a perfect couple. Oh Erin, I just knew when I first saw you two together that he was the one." She said happily.

Erin laughed. "Oh did you now?"

"Of course. I have a good eye for these things." She said, before giving each of them a hug. "I love you both so much."

"We love you too Gram. I'm really happy you're here." Erin said happily.

"Glad to be here. Now, finish your food before it gets cold. I will talk to you soon."

Erin nodded and sat back down in her seat.

However as her bad luck would have it, her food did get cold.

So many people came up to talk to them, she had lost count.

They all of course meant well, and Erin was so grateful for everyone who came…

However, she was completely spent. Her social limit was passed about two hours ago.

She finished her dinner as the music continued and people moved back to the dance floor.

"Uh oh. Someone reached their social limit." Jirou said, standing over her.

She looked up at him and smiled. "No, I'm fine. Don't worry about me."

"Having fun?" He asked.

"Of course. Everything is perfect." She said happily.

"Good. I'm glad." He said, before looking over at Hatori who was talking to someone. "Hey Hatori, mind if I steal her for a dance?"

Hatori looked over at him and smiled. "Not at all."

"Great." He said before extending his hand to her.

She looked surprised. "You want to dance with me?"

He laughed. "Of course."

"Alright. But I suck." She said, grabbing his hand.

"You don't suck." He laughed, leading her onto the dance floor.

The music was slow and they slowly danced around.

He looked down at her. "So this is it, isn't it?" He asked.

She looked up at him. "What do you mean?"

"This is it. You're… You're married now. You made it." He said with a soft smile.

"I did make it. However, I know I didn't make it on my own. I had lots of help." She said.

"No matter how you did it, you still did it." He said.

"I don't know… I… I could've done better. I could-"

"Erin, stop. You did amazing. I'm so proud of you." He said gently.

"You are?"

"Of course. So unbelievably proud. I mean you have gotten through things… Things that were so horrible… But you overcame them. I mean the fact that we're dancing right now at your wedding just shows how brave and amazing you are." He said as if it were obvious.

She smiled. "I guess you're right."

"I know I'm right." He said, spinning her around.

"Hey Jirou?" She asked.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"I… I wanted to thank you." She said quietly.

"Thank me?" He asked.

"Yeah. For everything. For being my best friend and always being there for me… I mean, you've done so much." She said quietly. "So much that I'll never be able to repay you."

He smiled. "You repay me just by spending time with me. I mean being able to be part of your life is all I want."

"Well good cause I want you to be a part of it." She said happily.

"You know as much as I appreciate the thanks, I should be the one thanking you." He said.

She looked at him questioningly. "Why?"

"Because you forgave me. Even though I didn't really deserve it… You let me be a part of all of this. You let me be your brother. I know I mess up sometimes… And I know I can be overbearing at times as well… But… But being able to see this, see you get married, walk you down the aisle, dance with you… Being able to share big moments like this with you… It makes me so happy." He said, smiling. "I mean that. I want to be there for all of these moments. The big ones and the little ones. I don't want to miss any. I mean, I almost did. I almost missed out on all of this." He said, looking around. "I'm sorry…"

She smiled. "Jirou, you don't have to apologize. You're here. You've been here. That's all that matters. I'm so happy you're here. And trust me, you won't miss out on any moments. I promise. You're my best friend. We're kind of a package deal, you and me."

Tears stung at his eyes as he looked at her smile. "Yeah. We are." He said, looking at her in her wedding dress. A tear escaped, falling down his face. "Did I tell you how amazing you look? I mean… I can't believe you're in a wedding dress. You used to be a little kid. Dancing around at Gram's house wearing princess dresses. Now look at you."

She laughed. "It's just a slightly bigger princess dress."

He smiled, and dropped his gaze. "God I'm gonna start crying."

"Jirou." She said, wiping away one of his tears.

"I'm sorry. Kat said I would cry. I said I wouldn't but… Here we are." He said, laughing slightly. "What's a wedding without a few tears, am I right?"

He wiped his eyes, before looking back at her. "I really am so proud of you." He said quietly. "And I'm so happy you have Hatori. I mean that."

Her eyes lit up. "He's part of our family now." She said happily.

He smiled. "He's always been a part of our family… Suki was right. Marriage is just a piece of paper."

"You're right." She said. "I'm so lucky. I have so many people who care about me."

"I'm lucky too." He said happily.

She looked up at him. She stared at his face. His blue eyes looked down at her. In the light of the dance floor they almost seemed brighter. His hair was slicked back, however pieces still fell in his face. They had that in common.

He had a smile on his face.

She thought of when she saw him at her graduation all that time ago… He had smiled at her and she had been so surprised. He never used to smile at her. However now, He smiled at her all the time.

She was so happy he did. Having him in her life… It made her so happy.

To her surprise tears fell down her face.

He looked surprised. "What's wrong?"

She didn't answer. She just hugged him. "I love you Jirou. I don't know what I would do without you." She cried.

The tears he was trying to hold in came out at the sound of her crying. He hugged her back tightly. "I love you too Erin."

"Please don't ever leave."

"I won't, I promise. If you need me, I'll be there. You know that." He said.

"No matter what."

"Yeah. No matter what."

The song was slowly coming to an end. He knew he had to do it.

He looked at her in his arms. He had to let her go.

Just let go.

As the song ended, he pulled away and stepped back slightly.

"Ah, Suki's gonna be mad at me. I'm ruining her makeup." She laughed, carefully wiping away her tears.

"Still looks good to me." He said happily.

"Erin." Hatori called softly, walking up to them. "It's time for cake." He said before noticing her tears.

He handed her his handkerchief.

"Sorry. Weddings, am I right?" She said before she accepted it and carefully wiped her tears.

"I understand." Hatori said before looking over at Jirou.

"I have a second one if you need it." Hatori said.

Jirou laughed. "No, I'm good. Thank you though." He said. "Oh, Hatori. Congratulations. Out of all the brother in laws I could've gotten, I'm glad it's you." He said happily.

Hatori looked at him and smiled.

However, Jirou realized it wasn't his usual kind of smile he usually saw. No, this smile looked genuine. His eyes lit up and a wide smile spread across his face.

He looked genuinely happy.

Jirou smiled as well.

"I agree." Hatori said, before looking down at Erin. "Are you ready for cake?"

She smiled. "Yes. I'm sure you're ready as well."

"I am excited." He said happily.

"Sugar addict." She teased, grabbing his hand.

They cut their cake, and the party continued on.

Before Erin knew it, it had gotten quite late. She stifled a yawn, completely exhausted.

She felt a pair of hands wrap around her waist from behind. She looked behind her quickly to see Hatori looking down at her.

"I think it's about time the two of us get going don't you think?" He asked.

She nodded. "Yeah I could go home, I'm exhausted."

He held her close and kissed her forehead. "I'm not taking you home. We're going somewhere." He said with a smile.

"We are?"

"Well of course. I would like to take my new wife on a honeymoon." He said matter of factly.

Her eyes lit up and her face warmed. "Oh right! I completely forgot about that." She said, laughing slightly. "Where are we going?" She asked excitedly.

He smirked. Erin knew that look.

She deflated. "It's a surprise isn't it?"

"Of course it is."

"And you're not going to tell me?"

He laughed and tucked the stubborn piece of hair behind her ears. "Not a chance."

She sighed. "Alright, alright."

"Good. Now let's say our goodbyes. I don't want to share you with everyone anymore." He said, giving her hand a squeeze.

Her cheeks burned. "You have the rest of our lives to keep me all to yourself."

He shook his head. "It still isn't enough. I don't want to lose one second."

She giggled softly. "Okay, I'll say my goodbyes. Oh and Hatori?"

"Yes?"

"I love you." She said, kissing his cheek.

His face warmed.

He rested his hands on either side of her face, and ran his thumbs gently across her face. "I love you too Erin. So much." He said, pressing his lips on hers gently.

She kissed him back before he pulled away. "Now go." He said.

She smiled. "Alright. We'll say our goodbyes then leave."

"A solid plan." He said before watching her walk off.

He smiled as he tried to burn the image of her in her wedding dress into his memory. It was a sight he never ever wanted to forget.

He watched her saying her goodbyes, noticing the happy look on her face.

He smiled.

As he looked at her he was reminded that she was his wife now.

His wife.

He would have to keep reminding himself of that.

He looked down at the silver wedding band on his hand and he smiled.

Married. He was married. Something he thought would never happen.

He looked back to her talking, and excitement flooded him.

He couldn't wait to take her away from here. Have her all to himself. He wished he could just skip the goodbyes, pick her up, and take her away.

He laughed slightly at the thought.

He should be more patient… However, what he told her was true.

He didn't want to lose a single second with her. He wanted to be with her as much as he could.

Yes, no measure of time with Erin would be enough. He'll always want more.

He glanced back to the ring on his finger, giving it a twirl.

Maybe no measure of time would be enough, however the rest of his life seemed like a good place to start.

He did make her a promise after all.

"I promise to love you every moment for the rest of my life, and every moment after that."

He smiled at the memory of his words.

He wanted to fulfill that promise. And now that she was his wife, he could.

He watched her a few moments more before going over to join her to say his goodbyes as well.

Hopefully he could speed the process up.

They had a whole life together in front of them.

And Hatori couldn't wait for it to start.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Okay! Here it is finally!

I'm sorry it took two weeks. I wanted to make it perfect.

It's pretty long lolol but I put a lot of thought into it. I actually teared up a couple times writing this. I can't believe they're married now! Finally! They grow up so fast. (Cries)

I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did! I've been thinking about this for so long! I'm so glad it's finally finished!

Today's character analysis is Aunt Mitsu.

At the current time she sold her house and moved into a smaller house. She was waiting for Jirou to finally leave the nest.

She is Japanese (obviously) She met Erin's uncle Johnathan in college. He was studying abroad and they met.

I feel like I could've gone deeper into that but there really isn't room. Oops.

Her and Erin's relationship is complicated. I think it's civil... But I don't think they'll ever be close.

There's probably just too much between them that won't ever go away.

She's a pretty serious person and she doesn't show emotions most of the time.

She loves her children. Jirou and Mitsuki are her pride and joy. I think she wanted to try to bond and raise Erin like her own. However, Erin was a very difficult child, and of course with everything going on she was never one to try to be close with her aunt.

Alright hopefully next Saturday I'll be able to post chapter 14. If not I'm sorry hahaha.

Anyway I'll see you in next time for chapter 14: Honeymoon

(It's gonna be fluffy. Hehe)

Love you guys!
