All recognizable Harry Potter characters belong to J. K. Rowling, and I am not earning anything by writing this story. I am merely borrowing the characters to play with them.
I am not a native speaker of English. Please excuse my mistakes.

Minerva McGonagall was still shocked by the sudden death of her once favourite students, when Hagrid landed the motorbike on Privet Drive carrying Baby Harry with him.

It was a dark night, far from the full moon, especially since Albus had extinguished the lights that usually illuminated the street of the muggle area.

"P'fessor Dumbledor', P'fessor McGonagall, ther's a problem," Hagrid greeted them in apparent excitement that almost made him stutter, causing Minerva and Albus to look at him in concern.

"Baby 'Aarry was not alone in 'is crib," Hagrid informed them, as he opened his large coat, revealing two toddlers, who seemed to be fast asleep. Both of them were wearing large curse scars on their small foreheads and looked absolutely identical.

"Harry has a twin brother?" Minerva blurted out in disbelief. "Did Lily perhaps somehow make a copy of Harry?"

"Hagrid, please place them on the Dursleys' doorstep," Albus instructed the half-giant, who immediately complied.

"Albus, is that really wise?" Minerva enquired. Harry had always been like a grandson to her, and she would love to raise him at Hogwarts.

"It is necessary," the headmaster informed her in a firm voice.

However, the fifteen-month-old boys seemed to have other ideas, as they somehow jumped right up onto her arm, as soon as Hagrid laid them down.

"Put them back," Albus instructed her, while Minerva instinctively cuddled the two boys close.

"No, this one is not a copy of Harry," Minerva realised, when she caught the gaze of the boys. "His eyes are onyx, not green."

She carefully laid the boys back onto the Dursleys' doorstep; however, as soon as she stretched herself back into a standing position, the boys jumped up onto her arm again.

"Oh Merlin, their magic must be extremely strong," she whispered, as she gently caressed the boys' cheeks. "They're getting cold. Albus, please let's take them to Hogwarts with us," she added, pleadingly.

"They'll catch a cold," Hagrid added, apparently concurring with her.

"We tay wif Gwanny Mina," the black-eyed boy voiced, causing the three adults to stare at him in shock.

"Yeah, Gwanny Mina," the green-eyed twin added.

"I know, I am your Granny, and I'm going to take you home with me," Minerva replied in a soothing voice, before she turned to the headmaster. "I'm sorry, Albus, but I just have to do this. I will keep them."

Letting out a deep sigh, Albus pulled a chain out of his robe pocket, made the boys, who were now fully awake, as well as her touch it and told Hagrid to follow them to the school. With that, he activated the Portkey to take them home.

At the same time, somewhere else in Britain, a witch noticed in shock that two identical girls were lying in the crib, where her only little girl was supposed to be.
