Two Years Later...
After the World Cup Finals, they got a healthy dinner of beef curry stew that's mild in flavor and packed with healing culinary herbs, but still delicious that he who had a tongue tortured with bland oatmeal and water for over a decade, this was a flavor bomb even if Diantha did her best to make it suitable for his current condition.
Once dinner was over, she said, 'I'll tell you about my Hogwarts life. Don't ask questions, it'll be answered as I tell my tale from start to finish.'
She did just that.
By the end of it, Sirius is NOT amused. The reason she left and what her curriculum comprised of worried him. He's not happy with the teachers he once respected growing up though he had to admit, sheep mentality was a concept he knew not. Not even he and his pals fall into same concept as they used to do that too without knowing and how Diantha disdained them so, thinking they're incapable of thinking for themselves and make anyone stupid and stupider and lose their individuality in the long run.
The belief was, 'if everyone says so, it should be right or wrong, so I should agree with them'.
'Dia, are you really OK in your new school?' she dared not tell him the name nor location as a precaution, unless he rebuilt his Occlumency Walls that were damaged by Azkaban, she could not trust him with her whereabouts, even her face as they don't know who can do Legilimency.
'I'm OK and I know full well how to swim through such dangers, unlike our kind.' said Diantha. 'I can survive that school and graduate with pride.'
'That's good to know.' said Sirius. 'I think I'll enroll too after I get fixed and my trial just so I can catch up myself. But I'll take another department.' he said. 'What are the courses? Courses, it kinda feels like electives...'
'It's more than that.' said Diantha with a snort. 'In my school, there are 12 Departments, the 12th being a recent addition. Each Department has numerous subjects within, it's like a muggle college wherein if anyone applied for Nursing or engineering, they'll study the subjects belonging to the course until they all pass it enough to graduate. They are...'
General and Individual Fundamentals - self-explanatory.
Spiritual Evocation - meaning, you summon spiritual things or even bring out memories long forgotten.
Mineralogy - study of magical properties of jewels as well as use it along with your magic.
Zoology - study of magical creatures and magic spells capable of related magics. For example, being an animagi.
Botany - Herbology, Witchcraft and Potions all in one.
Astromancy - the study of planets and stars, fortune-telling, and magic reliant on it. its pretty vague to people who weren't in this faculty though.
Lore- Basically the study of Myths and magical artifacts and relics. The most boring department.
Creation - creating magical items and spells is their bread and butter. However, expect their creations to be 'aesthetically-pleasing' as they see themselves as artists too.
Curses - basically Dark Arts known to man like Voodoo or something, and Necromancy.
Archaeology - the study of all worldwide and historical matters. This is also a boring department for most people, only history nerds would come here.
Modern Magecraft Theory - It aims at summarizing the thaumaturgy of the past centuries as a broader, shallower, more general magecraft that is 'easier to use', and adapted to modern society to better follow the most important rule of all: Statute of Secrecy. Meaning, you learn to use magic in public in broad daylight, and no muggles the wiser!
'Now that's interesting!' Sirius chimed.
'Get yourself legally cleared first.' Diantha drawled. 'We're going to Greece tomorrow, to meet the best Mind Healer. I booked this guy in advance, so he definitely can accommodate you.'
'Errr how much are his services? I'll pay you back.' Sirius offered nervously. He's now Lord Black since his last living uncle croaked, leaving everything to him even if he's in prison!
'Er for a few months of treatment till January next year it's about 7327 Galleons for his services alone.' Sirius' eyes popped at the astronomical price.
'THAT much?!'
'Duh, that's how the Greek Ministry valued his skills. 1 month alone is worth 1046. So say one week of treatment it's 261 galleons.'
'Ouch...' Sirius winced. 'And you're clearly not hurting for that price!'
'Its for the best anyway. If you want the best materials or services, expect to pay that much.' Diantha drawled at his expression. 'At least its not something as useless as buying a closet's worth of designer clothes just to brag to friends and then be bored with it a month after.'
Hours later...
They heard a lot of...screaming? And explosions?
'What the?!' they rushed out to see Death Eaters in full uniform, setting places on fire and attacking Muggleborns around them, indiscriminate of nationality!
The sight around them of panic and general uselessness got Diantha annoyed.
Was it so hard to team up with neighbors and deal with ten men?
'This is what I hate about our society...spineless lot, expecting a Hero to beat the villains for them and save the day!' she spat, taking out a zorro mask and wore it. 'Then why go to magic school for if you won't use what you learned?! Useless trash!' she swore in frustration as she used reinforcement to deliver a physical beatdown before Sirius could do anything, and judging by the yells, she broke their bones, snatched their wands and snapped it.
'Dia...' Sirius croaked out, shaken by her words as Diantha came back.
'Let's go. The Ministry will sweep around soon.' Diantha sighed. 'Our society...is too damn pathetic.' disgust and disappointment coated her words.
Sirius knew that as an adult, he must become one she can trust and rely on. She had no one but herself for many years thus was all alone by herself. Heck, her two friends who were older than her looked to HER and to think they're 18?!

Athens, next day...
They entered a desolate area outside the city. It looks like a large haunted mansion with a jungle of weeds and the like. The gates are tall and of course, chained and locked.
They walked through it, passing through a barrier that rippled like water, and lo, it's a classy hospital on the other side! Very greeky too!
Upon approaching the receptionist, Diantha spoke in accented English, 'We're here to see Healer Bakirtzis under the appointment Diantha Potter.'
'Room 422 Miss. I'll buzz him so he'll expect you.'
And upstairs, is a tall man in his 50s and quite, muscular! He don't look 50 at all...
Come to think of it, Sirius thought, every man they passed by is muscular.
'Oh, hello there Lady Potter...it seems my patient is finally available.' he greeted.
'Yes. He left his healing incubation in time for the World Cup. Watched it.'
'Yes. Too bad our National Team lost.' Healer Bakirtzis pouted before perking up in intrigue. 'But this year is a disaster I hear?'
'Its pathetic and an embarrassment.' said Diantha coldly. 'There's ten men and hundreds of people outnumbering them, yet despite numbers, they're fine with panic and running like headless chickens, being uselessly a walking target instead of teaming up while buying time for wife and kids to run. End result, property damage and injuries that shouldn't even have happened.'
'I'd know, she broke their arms and legs by wrestling and tumbling about.' Sirius shuddered. Bakirtzis' eyes widened at his words before chuckling.
'Padfoot, we call that martial arts.' Diantha snorted.
'Ahhh, you'd be welcome in Magical Greece, Lady Potter, our women are capable of martial combat too.' he said. 'We never forget our history and roots as warriors, with most of us descending from famous warriors of old, incorporating martial arts with magic in our DADA Classes.' said Bakirtzis with pride.
That apparently explains why most men around, are so macho with mesomorphic body types. Bakirtzis looked like his clothes may as well be body paint on that the only actual clothing on him is just his white coat. His feet are also quite large. So Sirius felt no shopping in Greece any time soon, nothing here will fit him.
'So, Lord Black is it?'
'Yeah.' said Sirius. 'Dia fixed me up so it won't hamper Mind Healing. She can't trust British Court to do job right so she went straight to ICW.'
'Understandable...first we will arrange a Private Room for Lord Black given his situation.' said Bakirtzis. 'Under a different name as his name is quite, famous. After you, I have to wait a little while longer for the Longbottoms next. That family approached me on Lady Potter's recommendation. I reserved the room next door for their use, also a Private Ward for a married couple who's out of it. Given Lady Potter's diagnosis, I researched how to treat them as well.'
They got him a room near the hospital grounds which was next to a beautiful, flowery garden and his room is comfortably cool with breeze blowing in.
'In summer the magical airconditioning charms blows cool breeze while in winter, warm breeze.' Bakirtzis would say. 'The flower gardens are magical in nature too, releasing calming, soothing fragrances to bring comfort for our patients. They usually come out here to reduce stress from pain caused by illness and injuries before going back to their rooms.'
'Er, how much is my room?' Sirius asked him.
'100 galleons a month.' Sirius choked. 'Mind Healing is expensive due to how high in demand yet so few experts. Food expenses is 75 a month and Potions needed are 3500 due to brewing process and cost of ingredients.'
'Holy cow!' Sirius exclaimed in aghast at the costs. The most expensive, was clearly, this guy.
'Come on Padfoot, you're rich anyway.' Diantha scoffed, smacking his back with her hand. 'Its for hospital fees which is a necessary expense, while your family when still alive, spent wastefully to brag about being a pureblood with no accomplishment follow-up after that. Typical wasteful nobles.' she sneered.
'Well the prices are still mind-blowing, I'm not like my dear ol' thankfully-gone folks! Your grandparents thankfully raised me so I developed Common Sense!' Sirius whimpered in dismay at the costs. 'L-Let's arrange it. The sooner I get tried the better...'
'Right right!' Bakirtzis clapped his hands enthusiastically. 'Let's go to the Administration Office to sort this out so we can bill your Gringotts Vault for the expenses.'
After that, Sirius started his stay. Thankfully his clothes and shoes are in their tent, which they filled his room closet with. His room has the basics of a bed, a sleeping couch for a visitor, a drawer for personal belongings and a closet. Then an all-in-one bathroom where there's a toilet bowl and a shower.
Diantha would bring him toiletry for baths, and comic books to amuse himself with. By the end of it, there's a shelf dedicated to volumes of muggle comics, novels, and even manga...because of Rider's influence, mostly. English-Translated of course. But Sirius knows that she can only visit on Christmas Breaks and Social Season for British Nobles during May to August.
'Social Season for noble muggles?' Sirius blurted incredulously.
'Yes. There's another British Magical Society who combines muggle science and logic with magic. I attend a school of theirs as you already know.' said Diantha. 'They are ruled by 12 Lords who are powerful nobles, all of whom have Branch Houses subservient to them. Their origins are Muggleborns who disdained the society we're from and are all very wealthy, accomplished and powerful that they even have power in muggle society and publicly known. Except, the adoring public doesn't know they can do magic too and no, the Royal Family isn't included.' she was giving him bits of info over time, which Sirius noted. 'The 12 families of Lords are royalty by standards as it is with the Branch Families subservient to them being actual nobles.'
'They have a Social Season for a couple purposes: finding suitable fiancees for their children, watching out for who accomplished what and who screwed up and three, making business deals. They leave their manors in the countryside for that purpose, all the while enjoying on gourmet exotic cuisine on display...just make sure your enemies didn't poison it for you first.'
'Geh...'
Thus during August, Diantha can visit him for one more week as after that, she has invitations she's OBLIGED to attend on various dates, and left him Hedwig for company for her safety as well.
Time went by, Diantha focused on her schooling, hard at work with great focus.
She made many advanced preparations against any tomfoolery aimed at her from 'there', so she can study in peace.
Considering she sent the Weasleys and Longbottoms a lifelong present, its only Hermione's Christmas Present she worries about now.
Last time she gifted Hermione a string pouch with an Extension charm big enough to fit a garage along with elementary books on her second year and healing books come third, this year...would be books about Runecraft as she apparently, studies ancient runes; but with a letter forbidden to discuss it in class and she'll understand when she reads the books, sending it via Dobby Express. Hermione normally goes home for Christmas but this year might be different, due to the Yule Ball...still sent it anyway. All books she sent her, were powerfully-charmed that ensures Hermione will never publicly read the books she gives. She can practice in secret in Hogwarts though.
She also gets letters from her old friends who leave letters by their bedsides for Dobby to pick up and give to her, after checking them for magic...like tracking spells. She replies them back of course.
Come January 3...
In a private room in St. Mungo's...
'Humm...very good. Ready to hatch now.' Diantha grinned as she freed the Longbottoms from their incubation, now that they're in tip-top shape. 'Elfies, bathe them and alert the Longbottoms that they're ready for Discharge from hospital.' Diantha instructed the elves. 'Then go see Healer Bakirtzis in Greece.'
'Yes ma'am!'
The rest is out of her hands now.

Sirius Black was one happy guy.
Not only was he Exonerated, he also got Peter arrested in his place with maximum security, being a Rat animagus, thus if he escapes, he'd be really hard to find! So yes, all precautions were made, including being crippled that he can no longer walk as a double-precaution. He also has thirteen Dementors to his name.
'I'm finally free.' Sirius sighed wistfully. 'Free to live my life.'
'Yeah, you can finally go public.' said Diantha with a grin. 'So how will you live your bachelor life?'
'Well, it'll be a while before people cool down towards me, given my stellar reputation.' Sirius laughed hollowly. 'I don't think a lady will willingly date me for at least a year or so.'
'Well, that much is to be expected.' said Diantha. 'At least the British Prime Minister already knows. I had Dobby carry a mirror that saw the entire proceedings of the court linked to the guy's office. I also contacted the Director of MI-6 when I brought the matter with him so as a precaution incase the guy is aware of magic or not, no MI-6 agent in Britain will hunt you.'
'What's MI-6?'
'Secret Service. They do intel work, chasing and arresting fugitives ordinary police cannot, and rarely, disposing of dangerous elements, if you catch my drift.' said Diantha, making him shiver at the unsaid implications. 'Sooo for now, until word spreads, would you like to attend school next year?'
'Haaah?! Bambi! I'm 34! Too too old for school!' Sirius choked, horrified at the mere idea even.
'I'm talking about my current school.' said Diantha. 'Come on pads, I have a friend who started at age 20 because he had to amass a lot of wares since being a Necromancer isn't easy! What's 15 years more? Age doesn't matter in my new school!'
'Necromancer, you mean playing with dead bodies?' Sirius went green at the idea. His only known Necromantic knowledge was the creation of Inferi!
'Yup. That's his family art as per tradition but he's a chill guy and my mentor about school social and politics life so I was able to get by on my own.' said Diantha. 'He's a good friend.'
'Heee...but school starts at September?'
'It does, but I can get you a head start in Physical Education class. That class is held for about two hours before day ends no matter what your schedule is.' said Diantha. 'Oh, and no Quidditch as these lot don't believe in sports.'
'EHHHH?!' Sirius is totally aghast with the idea. No Quidditch! The horror!
'For them, the only practical sport is the sport that saves your life. They don't believe in Quidditch or even muggle sports.' Diantha chuckled. 'For first to third year, your body is trained hard to reach peak physical fitness.' she told him. 'Then two years after, you're taught martial arts.'
'So this year...'
'I'm still in physical fitness y'know. For now, I'll give you time to think about this.'
'Well, I'll see what this is like.' said Sirius. 'I get three opportunities here. I let it sink for a year to the masses I'm innocent, I get to look after you and three, I get to see this society you jumped into.'
'Then we go see Policies Department with the paperwork regarding your situation.'

Clock Tower...
Sirius never dreamed that his goddaughter's school is smack-dab in the middle of London beneath the British Museum. Specifically, the museum is where the entrance to it is situated, with the Clock Tower and its facilities being underground, extending from Regent's Park up until Westminster.
The Clock Tower was originally only its headquarters in London, but in the hundreds of years since its establishment, and as it expanded, more facilities were added, and protected by hundreds of defensive contraptions, and wouldn't be destroyed even if the Earth itself was.
(That proved through and true in a certain timeline when Marisbury Animusphere won a Fuyuki War)
They must have done a lot of digging, he reckoned.
Diantha did all the talking with a Policies Member who recorded and filed Sirius' court files from the ICW that deemed him innocent and can safely enroll in Clock Tower.
They also had to prove Sirius' lineage, since he also possessed Magic Circuits. Since the Black Family started in the Middle Ages, his bloodline status was a bit higher than that of Diantha's that his circuit quality was top notch, but his quantity raised eyebrows. The quality of his circuits, is an appalling C for his lineage, as opposed to his stronger goddaughter who had more than he did. He also had the same composition as Diantha, 'abnormal of abnormals'.
'Ehhh my family was way too much into that pure-blood nonsense they went as far as Incest y'know. Inbreeding damages. I'm proof of that and some cousins who were born Squibs.' said Sirius with a hollow laugh. 'My parents are second cousins, once removed.'
'...too much information there.' the agent went green at his words. He even went greener when he saw the guy's Family Tree as some married pairs are even siblings! Don't these guys know filter, he thought. This guy blatantly admitted himself as damaged goods as 'he doesn't see the point of lying as it'll be discovered later anyway'.
He's right though.
Better admit now than cause a scandal later.

Enrolling in Admin Office just for P.E Classes was a little interesting as actual enrollment is in August.
'Only in P.E? How come though?'
'Well, I just got out of hospital I'm out of shape.' said Sirius. 'I need to be at a level to catch up with youngsters in class. I decided to give Clock Tower a shot after Dia told me about this place.' he said. 'Atrophy got me so I want my shape back.'
Thus, P.E he found, was a lot gruelling he was glad he was at peak state of health. Had he been the way he was before, his sorry-ass state after escaping Azkaban, he wouldn't survive!
Come August, however?
'I HAVE TO SWALLOW THIS GEMSTONE?!'
Sirius' eyes popped in horror as Diantha gave him a jewel the size of a thumb. It was at least, polished so it wouldn't damage his throat.
'Whyyyy?!'
'It holds records of Question and Answers which WILL be in Entrance Exams.' said Diantha. 'And also, known people you absolutely must NOT offend and with good reason.'
Now THAT, was appealing.
'Er, what about the jewel after I got all that?'
'It'll turn to ash in your tummy once it's done its job, so you can just pass it out in the toilet when you feel like it.' said Diantha cheerily. 'For the low low price of a whole day's worth of Migraines due to Information Flooding in your memories.' that, and culture of Clock Tower.
Sirius choked. A whole day of Migraine?!
Well, nothing comes cheap...and he's still a kid at heart, who wouldn't want to cheat in exams, right?
So suffer willingly he did, while Dia was out at social events she was invited to...will he also deal with that once he's well-known enough? That, and he was appalled at what his new world was like. Diantha described the people here as 'true Slytherins', not the morons in where they came from. All of them are...stupid.
To Diantha, these people truly embodied the ideals of Slytherin. These guys are cunning combined with their intelligence, ambitious, self-preserving, logical and shrewd with a heavy dose of high-functioning sociopathy that its really hard to find friends in Clock Tower. She just got lucky with her only real friends in school and she has a good relation in some places. Heck, treachery is just a usual day here. Schemes upon schemes, people tripping up each other to attract sponsorship for resources they wouldn't get due to lack of connections and money.
Sirius learned what true sociopathy was, that he has to watch out, should people find out he's rich. Heck, its easy to know if newcomers are rich or not thus you'd find yourself being buttered up by people, pretending to be nice when they were not. Diantha carried a jewel in her pocket that she purchased off the Mineralogy Department that was of great help to her in detecting people with ill intent towards her and easily find people she can get along with, a jewel she would pass onto him since she got what she wanted out of it already.
August 20...day of Entrance Examinations came.
Sirius passed it with a higher score than Diantha did, a 93. Upon enrolling in Fundamentals, he chose to take multiple course loads like Diantha did to 'graduate sooner'. His other faculty was Modern Magecraft Theory since it appealed to him more.
He shacked up with Diantha in a flat for two people he paid for, so he really can live with her as a family. Given their different faculties and lifestyle, neither chose to have a Workshop. But Diantha goes out when testing her projects out to avoid explosions and of course, maintaining secrecy.
Slur Street is still part of Muggle London after all.
Sirius wasn't one for researching unless its pranks. 'Moony used to do this stuff.'
'Well, your turn to do it now.' Diantha grinned. 'Besides, discovering things is fun! I'm about to hit a jackpot and better yet, I'm NOT gonna get a Designation!' Sirius forced a smile on his face.
Sealing Designation was basically, a spite of nobles for daring to accomplish better than them.
An example of that was 'this person' who could create a puppet body that perfectly resembles a human body and even function like one with a few flaws. They make good prosthetics at least.
Diantha's project, revolves around eyes she was working on, and had plenty of eyeballs to toy with, much to Sirius' disgust.
She created a pair of Mystic Eyes called Bestial Subservience. By activating it, you can put beasts under control and make it obey you. The eyes will glow blood red with irises going slit, and the animal in question will also sport glowing red eyes while under 'taming process'. Once it's done, it's putty in your hands and will obey orders as far as their natural intelligence allows them to. You can even 'release' the beasts that they'll be 'wild again'. And no, you can't control Undead by visiting the Curse Department. She tried, nothing happened. Then again, Undead aren't smart beyond 'eat the living in front of you' and had to be under control through Necromantic Means.
The strength of these eyes depends on one's magic circuit quality, not quantity. She had willing volunteers to prove it, with herself as 'the strongest' user as she can tame monstrous beasts, to the point she tamed a Dragon in a Romanian Reserve! In fact, she brought the shrunken thing over as a loan from a friend, and restored its size to horrifying glory that got Zoology Department drooling.
She has to return it afterward though. She borrowed a Hungarian Horntail, a dragon that can shoot up to 40 feet of fire strong enough to turn you to ash instantly.
Let's face it, what magus stronger than her will volunteer for her experiment? Magi from lineages older than she will never as they're mostly nobles and lords, unless it interests them and she wasn't insane enough to ask them, she valued living longer.
So not even she has an idea how far magi with the strongest circuits can go with her product, if a magus of her caliber can tame monstrous beasts. Can magi stronger than her tame Demi-Humans, was a question never answered and no, no mere human can control Divine Beasts, not unless you have divine ancestry in your blood.
Her project raised intrigue, considering she created a brand of Mystic Eyes that CAN be replicated, yet of an uncommon type. Why she made it?
'Witches should have any familiars they want. What easier way than having eyes like these?'
It was her first accomplishment. And to think she's not a Graduate yet...
Clock Tower classified her eyes of an Uncommon Type and given possibilities, purchasing it from her will be...expensive.
Mystic Eyes vary in prices. The cheapest being Charm that costs 5000 pounds, Bind that costs 11000 and Whisper a whopping 20000. Her Mystic Eyes costs 50000 due to its potential. Who hasn't heard of a pair of eyes whose strength is based on one's Circuits?! This was amazing in its own way! Other Mystic Eyes no matter the strength of the user, its strength and potency as well as od consumption never changes as typical programmed Single-Action Spells with a set consumption rate.
This new Mystic Eyes made was unique. Since it was replicable, she was indeed, safe from being a Designate. She patented the eyes as her family product, so anyone who wants it, must see her for the surgery and brain modification involved.
This was what Waver and Melvin got wind of, when they got back to Clock Tower later...
