Hi everyone! Hope you enjoy this quick one-shot I wrote when I was bored. Please leave a review!

Magnus POV

I was annoyed.

I had wanted to have a nice date with Alex in a nice restaurant in the mortal world. No monsters, no crazy stuff relating to the gods.

But noooo.

Fate was not so kind.

Jack, my talking sword (don't ask) had been begging me to take him out because apparently some 'hot chick sword' was nearby.

Alex snorted when I told her about the situation.

"Give it a try. What harm could it do? I'm interested," the green haired einherji said while twirling a straw through her fingers. I knew better than to argue with my girlfriend.

"Senor!" Jack said excitedly when I finally brought him into his sword form, "That way, she's that way!"

I was about to object when Jack yanked me in the direction he had been pulling in. Alex pushed me over towards where the sword wanted to go. Ugh, Alex and her 'helpfulness'.

We had run several blocks before Jack finally pulled out of my grip and made his way to two teenagers. One of them was eating a kitkat bar while the other gave him a shoulder massage.

"She's there..." I heard Jack whisper. Enough was enough. I yanked back Jack and willed him into his pendant form once again. I felt Jack pout. I wasn't completely sure how that worked - Jack was a sword and was currently in pendant form, but we just had that oh-so-special bond.

Annoyingly, we had also disturbed the two boys which Jack had been interested in. I studied them closer. The one who had been eating the kitkat was wearing all black and had a very emo and shadowy vibe about him, especially in his fashion sense. Blitzen would love to give him some tips on that, I decided.

The other teen seemed to be the opposite. The literal definition of sunny, his blonde hair and blue eyes glittered in the sunlight.

The two teenagers seemed to be noticing us and getting up. Well, the emo kid was standing up, looking irritated, while the other boy tried to get him to sit back down.

I vaguely noticed Alex's stance shift beside me.

"It's he/him until I say otherwise, falafel boy."

"Yes, sir," I said with a salute. Alex rolled his eyes.

The emo teen had made his way over to us. He stood in front of Alex and scanned him over with his eyes. I noticed that he straightened his posture and went slightly up onto his tippy toes so that he could have a level staring contest with my boyfriend.

"You," the kid decided, "are weird. Definitely not mortal. But not alive."

The other boy facepalmed from behind his companion.

"Yeah?" Alex challenged, now rising onto his toes, "You got a problem?"

"Can we calm down?" I began at the same time the blonde teen said, "Neeks-"

And then, all hell broke loose.

After the fact, I realized this statement might have been a wee bit too literal.

Alex whipped out his garrote and began attacking to emo kid. And lo and behold, the reason Jack had dragged us into this became apparent as a beautifully horrible black sword was pulled out by Alex's challenger, practically out of nowhere, or so it seemed.

I stepped back and let them get their fight out. The blonde seemed intent on doing about the same. I walked up next to him and joined him on the bench.

"Not big on fights?" he asked.

"More of a healer guy," I replied.

"Same here."

There was an awkward silence for a moment before he spoke up once more.

"You look an awful lot like Annabeth."

I almost jumped in surprise. "You know her?"

"We met at... summer camp."

"Oh, she told me about that. So... you're Greek?"

"You're not?" he asked, mildly surprised. "So, Roman?"

I shook my head. "Norse. I'm Annabeth's cousin, Magnus, by the way," I said, then added hastily, "On her dad's side."

"Will Solace," he said, "and that's Nico. Should we-"

"Probably."

Will let out a whistle. "Kitkat! Nico, I have a kitkat for you!" I laughed to myself at how similar it sounded to calling a pet to dinner.

Nico turned his head to look at Will and process what he was saying, which gave my boyfriend the perfect opportunity to punch him in the face. I took that chance to rush over to Alex and tell him to stop.

"Why? He was asking for it," Alex protested.

"Ufgh," Nico moaned, "Will. You're mean."

I smiled slightly and knelt down to heal Nico. He weakly swatted away my hand before giving in. I had a feeling he could hurt me a lot worse if he wanted to, but the kid was smart. He had figured out we weren't his enemies.

When I began to use my son-of-Frey powers, I noted that he didn't have any major injuries, just a general... drainage of energy.

I fixed his now bruised cheek and restored some of his energy.

When I was done, he finally sat up and studied my face.

"You look like-"

"Annabeth. So I've been told. I'm her cousin, Magnus. Also, I'm the son of a Norse god."

Nico massaged his temples. "Not another pantheon. Please don't tell me I have to be an ambassador of Pluto or something again."

"So how'd you get here anyway?" I asked will, standing up again.

"Nico accidentally shadow traveled us here, and he's pretty drained now," He explained. At my confused look, he added, "He's the son of Hades, Lord of the Underworld. It's one of his powers." I decided not to ask any more.

"Well, if you need somewhere to stay, we have this house where you can stay as long as you'd like," I offered.

"The Chase Space?" Alex confirmed. I nodded. "Wait, so what's happening again?"

I shook my head and chuckled. "I'll explain on the way."

Edit: Many people in the reviews were wondering when I will update or why I haven't already. Thanks for all the love, but to clarify, I will not be writing any more as this was just intended to be a one-shot and I don't have the time or patience to continue this. If any of you guys want to continue it, feel free, but just credit me as coming up with the first chapter ;) OH and let me know as well, send me a pm or review, because I'd LOVE to read those, and I'll link your story for others to read.
