"This was always been my favourite part of the trail, watching the way you squirm as your muscles begin to pop and tear under the ceiling's weight." The huge eyeball with wings said as it was watching the five warriors were struggling to keep the brick ceiling up with all their might. "But of course, the best is your eyes, seeing the gears of thought turn in desperation, thinking, questioning yourself. 'How long can I hold this? Will, I die this way? Will one friend betray us and escape while we flatten, or shall I be the one?'" As the bat creature taunted as it laughed maniacally and in delight at the guests' suffering. The ceiling began to lower down just one bit making everyone under there grunt or whimper because of the pressure. It was hard to tell that either they were getting weaker or the weight was getting heavier, along with the tension that surrounded all five of them.
"Just. . . Ignore that punk." Kuwabara grunted out as his arms were trembling under the pressure. "Stick together." He instructed the gang. "And if anybody tries to run, I swear I'll drag them back myself!" The threat made the fire demon scoff.
"Ha! And I suppose you think it will be noble if we all died as a team." Hiei said dully.
"That's right!" Kazuma replied.
"Here is a thought, let's shut up and find a way out!" Yusuke snapped at the two while his sister was already doing his suggestion in silence. Her eyes darted around for any inspiration, but the only thing that caught her eyes was that lever that started the whole trial in the first place.
'If we can just find a way to that switch. . . .' The female Spirit Detective thought to herself. She felt the ceiling lowering down, making her look up in a reflex. That's when she saw her right wrist that held that held that strange Dragon-Yang tattoo mark. Her eyes went wide, then an idea finally hit her. "Hiei!" The girl called out as she turned to look over her shoulder, meeting the crimson eyes of the Fire Demon who she was looking for. "You're a lot faster than any of us, we'll hold the ceiling up while you go and flip the switch!"
"You crazy?!" Of course, Kuwabara would be the one to object first. " We can't trust that guy! Just look, he doesn't care about all about us!" The orange-haired thug protested, but she ignored his words completely. Even though Miyuki knows he was right about that statement in more ways, deep down she felt something different about this so she trusted her instincts and went along with her plan, despite its own risks.
"Your ugly friend had a good point Little Detective." The Fire Demon grinned in agreement.
"Who's ugly?!" The orange-haired thug screamed with a snarl, clearly taking the insults personally. "Come here, you mouse!"
"Are you sure you wanna trust me?" The demon boy asked the female detective. "I've already vowed my revenge on you. Maybe I'll handle that now." His tone was serious, but Miyuki just gave a small and knowing smirk.
"Maybe, but I don't think quick and pathetic deaths like these would match your warrior-like style." The female Detective replied confidently, making Hiei look at her with confusion. That's where the Urameshi girl knew she got him. Just then Miyuki began to release some of her spirit energy within her, that soon started to wash over her entire body. "I'll let out all the spirit power I have left to buy you some time and flip the switch. Just don't trip, okay?" Miyuki instructed.
"Wait sis, let me help you with that." Yusuke offered as he followed Miyuki's example and let his own power flow through him like a river.
But then the Urameshi girl made a gesture that baffled the people who were behind her. Hiei blinked at the girl figure as he was taken off guard by her actions. . . Miyuki gave the Fire Demon an encouraging smile. A genuine smile while saying the next words.
"I trust you." Her voice sounded honest, something that surprised Hiei greatly, even though nothing had been shown on his facial expression beside that confused blank stare. "NOW GO!" The girl shouted. The Fire Demon did as he was told and sped toward the lever. Kurama let a small smile slip onto his lips before putting his main focus back onto the ceiling with Kuwabara and both Urameshi siblings that tried everything in their power to keep it up. The eyeball laughed at the sign but stopped as soon as Hiei appeared in front of the lever. However, something stopped him in mid-action and turned to his comrades who are still under the lowering ceiling.
"What's the deal?!" Kazuma shouted. "Pull the stupid switch already!"
Hiei didn't do anything besides letting his eyes glare at his so-called 'friends'.
"There is no need to make snap judgments my friend." The giant eyeball suddenly reasons with the Fire Demon. "What have they ever done to you? Leave them and you can come with me into the castle. With the invasion on Earth, the Four Saint Beasts will control the future. Be smart, join us, perhaps you can be the general of our demon army." Each word that creature said it began to made the Fire Demon question what would be the right thing to do. He looked conflicted. He didn't know what to really do. His hand only a few inches away from saving his allies, but his mind was swimming in confusion.
"He is tricking you Hiei!" The sudden voice of Miyuki made the Fire Demon turn to her.
"Don't you dare you creep!" Kuwabara threatened between his heavy breaths. "If it hadn't been for our help, you'd still be screaming with the rest of us!" The orange-haired teen pointed out. Moments later, Hiei drew his arm back and began to chuckle. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING ABOUT?!" Kuwabara demanded angrily as the weight on him and his friends began to double up.
"Take a guess, you fool!" Hiei replied with a cocky grin.
"Damn you!" Kazuma growled.
"Yes, you find amusement in their pain, now imagine the satisfaction that will come from their final screams." The eyeball with wings said with satisfaction as it began to laugh loudly. The ceiling lowered down making Miyuki let a small whimper slip through her gritting teeth.
"Hiei!" Fir this once, the Urameshi girl pleaded with a tone that sounded. . . desperate. "Come on, I trusted you!" Those words made the demon in black stop on his tracks and turn back to the team of humans. At her voice, Hiei shot the human girl a look with eyes that flickered with something that is unexplainable. Even to himself.
"A wise choice, the boulder would have crushed you anyway." The bat sneered as it turned its back against Hiei, who narrowed his eyes and bared his teeth. The eyeball turned back to the guest who reappeared in front of him, pissed off.
"Thanks for the clue!" The Fire Demon shouted in rage as he sliced the bat thing straight down the middle with his sword. It cried out in agony as it began to flap its wings around uncontrollably. Hiei then finally pulled up the lever, stopping the ceiling from moving down any further.
"He came through!" Yusuke exclaimed happily while Miyuki closed her eyes and let out a relieved sigh. Her body suddenly began to fall forward but was caught by the charming redheaded demon boy who rushed to his old childhood best friend's side, fast.
"Are you alright?" The redhead asked in worry as he gave some support to the girl's shaky figure. Miyuki nodded silently as she clung onto her left shoulder subconsciously. When she turned her head to Hiei's direction, only to gasp as she saw the mentioned large boulder crushing right onto him.
"HIEI!" Yusuke and Miyuki cried out while the others let out a small gasp of shock. The others left the tunnel together they saw that Hiei was alright. Thanks to his speed he managed to dodge that boulder and stand on top of it instead of being buried under it.
"Tell your masters this is their chance to beg for mercy!" Hiei snapped at the dying eye-bat threateningly, who by some miracle is still alive, and managed to flap its way away. Yusuke and Miyuki let out a huge breath before resting their hands onto their knees.
"Hey, are you two alright?" Kuwabara asked the siblings.
"Oh yeah, I just can't feel my arms right now." The male Spirit Detectiv3e complained as he flicked his arm while the black-haired girl just nodded her head in agreement. The Fire Demon landed down from the boulder, making the Urameshi girl send him daggers through her eyes. "I knew you'd save us, you punk." Yusuke said with a huge grin as he held up a thumbs-up. In reply Hiei blinked at the male Spirit Detective blankly. "But you did have me worried, hell of an actor." The Urameshi boy told the Fire Demon cheerfully as he walked over and placed an arm over his shoulders and shake him playfully. "You know not everyone can pretend to laugh at their dying friends." Yusuke said as he rubbed his nose.
"Hah! Friends are just a crutch of the weak! And I wasn't acting." Hiei scoffed as he began to walk away to keep his distance from the group.
"Say what?!" Kuwabara cried out in disbelief, while Miyuki narrowed her eyes at the short demon.
"Don't confuse it!" Hiei told them as he turned around and pointed one finger at the small team. "The only reason I saved you is because I might need your help." The female Spirit Detective walked over casually toward Hiei's direction, who watched her with questioning eyes.
"It's his way of saying 'You're welcome.' You will learn." The Fox-Demon explained with a small laugh of amusement.
"Riiiiight." Yusuke dragged the word sarcastically.
"Well, he still ticks me off." Kuwabara seethed as he and the others watched Miyuki curiously, who, with no regret or guilt, slapped the fire demon with a strong force that it made him almost fell on the floor face first if he wasn't quick enough to regain his balance.
The redhead gasped in surprise while Yusuke and Kazuma winced at Miyuki's sudden action, clearly familiar with this painful experience that the two somewhat managed to survive in many occasions. As for Hiei, he looked up with a shocked expression while the spot on his cheek was turning red from the slap. Soon his expression shifted to a glare as he turned to the female Spirit Detective.
"What's your problem woman?" Snapped Hiei, earning a snarl from Miyuki.
"That's for 'almost' betraying us, Jerkass!" The Urameshi girl growled before walking ahead without another word, ignoring the stare that Hiei was giving her.
"Hn." Hiei hummed a little annoyed but said nothing and just followed her lead. The other soon joining.
After walking deeper into the castle for gods knows how long the sound of a phone ringing went off scaring Kuwabara out of his mind. I casually pulled out the communicator from my kunai bag.
"What is that thing? Is it safe?" Kuwabara asked me curiously.
"It's just my communicator mirror." I answered with a bored expression. " For someone 'so brave and tough', you're such a scare cat." I sarcastically added before I lifted the top of the communicator with one push of a button.
"Hello, Miyuki! It's Botan in the living world, you copy?" The cheerful and blue-haired girl asked as she smiled widely through the communicator.
"Yeah, we-." Before I can even talk the ugly carrot head grabbed my hand that held the communicator and raised it up higher so he can also have a look.
"Hey, what's up Botan?" The flirty idiot asked. "This is the brave Kuwabara reporting at your service. I'm taking good care of the Urameshi siblings."
My eye twitched in annoyance before my feet lifted itself upward and stomp on Kuwabara's feet. Hard. Making him let go of me and jump around like a jumping stick and cry like a baby.
"So how are things over there?" I asked as if I had done nothing previously.
"I've got things under control here as well. More-less." The Bluenette girl replied. "The Makai-insects only like to nest into depressed people's minds. That narrows down my search for it. I also find another spy for the Saint Beasts, I just can't figure out how they're getting past the barrier." She paused for a second. "See, I think they're demons from outside of the city, taking orders along the wall."
"Behind you!" I warned her. On cue, she lifted her metal-bat and hit the demon spy in the forehead.
"Don't worry, those guys are weaklings." The assistant reassured me. "The real challenge is finding those Makai-insects. I've only caught fifteen of those buggers and I have been searching for nearly an entire day."
"What?" Yusuke exclaimed as he pulled the communicator close to him, along with my wrist making me grunt out irritated for being dragged like a rad doll. "Fifteen?! That's not much help!"
"Yusuke, fighting people controlled by the insect takes time." Botan reasoned as she knocked down the demon spy who just got back on his feet, again. "That's why you two need to get that whistle."
"Okay, we're trying but this castle is kind of rough." Yusuke tells her.
"Well, of course, it is, no survived before." The Grim Reaper explained before ending the call right then and there.
"Hn, how reassuring." I remarked sarcastically before pulling my wrist out of my brother's grasp and place my communicator back into my pocket. As we continued on our merry way, Yusuke spoke up.
"Hey sis, did Botan said anything about these Four Saint people?" My brother asked me as he walked over to my left side. "She just pushed us down that hole like a couple of cow s and I didn't have a chance to ask her." I closed my eyes as I shook my head 'no'.
"I don't think she would have told you much." Shuichi/Kurama chimed in with a polite smile.
"Huh?" Kazuma hummed questioningly.
"Ever since the barrier wall raised around the city, Spirit World intelligence virtually forgot this place existed." Rosehead explained.
"What do you know?" Kuwabara asked.
"Let's just say when you see their bodies, you may be very surprised." Shuichi answered with a small smirk dancing on his lips.
"Terrified!" An inhuman voice added making everyone besides me and Hiei gasp. "Isn't that more like it?"
"Hey, who said that?!" Loud mouthed Carrot Top exclaimed. A burst of deep laughter followed his sentence.
"There's a door behind you, please take it." The voice instructed us. With that the room suddenly brightened up, revealing the door under the shadow covers. Both Kuwabara and Yusuke opened the door together.
"Ladies first." My brother joked.
"Hn, what a gentleman." I scoffed sarcastically before stepping into the room first with a mental eye roll. A huge room with pillars that held torches. But even with those, the depth of the room was still dark for your vision. My sibling grabbed one of those and threw it inside the patch of darkness. As soon as it reached that side of the room a large rock monster was revealed by the light.
"Welcome, trespassers." The ugly statue greeted us.
"Ok, I'm surprised!" Kazuma exclaimed, startled.
"I am Genbu of the Four Saint Beasts." The rock monster introduced himself. " Do you have a request before you die?" Wow, overconfident much?
"Yeah, tell me how a beast is a saint, I'm lost." Yusuke asked sarcastically making me mentally roll my eyes.
"The stairwell is the only way to the castle tower." Genbu informed us. "You can either defeat me and go up on your own or be dragged there once you stop breathing!" As he threatened, he slammed the tip of his tail, creating a huge dent. "Why don't you all attack me at once? Then the last one left won't feel lonely." He challenged us making me narrow my eyes at him.
"He's a rock Urameshi! How are we supposed to fight against a talking rock?" Carrot Top shouted in fear.
"I will fight him." Rosehead volunteered as he stepped out of the group. I turned my head toward him in a flash as worry began to take over.
"Shuichi. . ." I called in a low whisper, catching his attention.
"I will be alright Miyuki." My redhead friend reassured me calmly.
"Are you sure?" Yusuke asked with concern.
"It would ill-advised for all of us to attack without first knowing his power." Rosehead answered with confidence before looking somewhere else. "Besides, I can hardly let Hiei get all the credit for this mission now, can I?" I looked over my shoulder to see the almighty Shadow Lord turn away with annoyance written all over his face, making me mentally chuckle at his reaction.
"You wanna die one by one?" The Ugly Statue asked as Shuichi began to make his way over the fighting area. "I can do that too."
"Hey, wouldn't we be better off trying to lure him back down that drop-down ceiling or something?" My brother suggested, being the big 'joker' as he is.
"Obviously you are underestimating Kurama." The almighty Shadow Lord told us with a serious tone making me turn to the demon boy and look at him with curiosity. "Do you know why I chose him to be my partner? To avoid fighting him myself." His statement made my eyes open up a little wide. Now that's interesting. "Watch, he's more cutthroat than I am when it comes to battle and unbelievably precise." Shadow Lord continued on. I turned to my childhood best friend with worrisome and pure curiosity.
'What tricks are you hiding up your sleeves Shuichi?'
"Sir, the first move is yours." Rosehead politely told Genbu, only to get a laugh in reply.
Now, this is going to be interesting. The two stared at each other intensely, my ears caught the sound of something sinking into a pile of rocks. I turned to the source and I saw Genbu's tail sinking into the ground like it was water.
"Hey! Stoneman is doing something freaky with his tail!" Yusuke shouted on my left while Kuwabara gasped. I crouched down to the floor and placed one hand onto its hard surface. A method that I learned from Master Yara. I closed my eyes for a second, but they suddenly shot up and turned back to the battle match.
"BEHIND YOU!" I shouted as I watched the sharp end of the Rock's tail come out and strike at my friend. Kurama quickly turned around and managed to barely dodge it, but not without getting a deep cut across his stomach.
"KURAMA!" My brother shouted worriedly. My childhood friend landed on the ground in a kneeling position. Genbu laughed at his enemy.
"Thanks to my body's structure, I can become one with any type of rock." The Saint Beast explained proudly. "With a little rearranging, I can make any stone my tail."
"Yeah, we're in trouble." Kuwabara shakily stated while my hand clenched into a fist, my knuckles probably turning white.
"And since this whole chamber is made of stone, I have you surrounded." Genbu stated. "THERE IS NOWHERE TO RUN!"
I watch as Rosehead stood back up to his feet, with one arm clutching onto his stomach cut.
"Oh man, now he is wounded." Yusuke said worrisome.
"Maybe we should help." Kazuma suggested.
"There is no need." Shuichi said as he looked over his shoulder and sent us a reassuring smile. "I've been hurt, but he will not take me by surprise again."
"Ha! Wait until you see the full extent of my power, then you won't be so confident." Genbu scoffed while Shuichi glared back at the monster. The stone creature laughed mockingly before letting himself become one with the ground underneath him.
"He's gonna put himself into the floor!" My idiot of a brother cried out worriedly.
"Do something Kurama!" Carrot Top shouted, freaking out. I said nothing and just watched the monster disappear into the floor. My hand was still connected to it.
"He could be anywhere." Yusuke said frustrated.
"I can't even sense Genbu's energy." Kuwabara added. With a deep breath, I closed my eyes and concentrated on the vibration of the ground, hopefully, to detect the monster in that way. My senses are not as good as Master Yara's but I'll try it anyway.
I felt it. . . I felt something moving. Right behind Shuichi.
My eyes snapped open and turned to Rosehead who just happened to glance behind his back.
"Same old trick." Kurama stated before jumping away from Genbu's blow. The tail however it came behind him.
"WATCH FOR HIS TAIL!" Yusuke shouted while Kazuma held his head nervously.
"He is getting attacked from both sides!" Carrot top exclaimed.
I silently watched as my demon friend dodged each attack that came from Genbu. How is he going to get out of his one?
"You'll never defeat me by just running away!" Ugly statue stated confidently.
"Yes Genbu, I believe you're right." Shuichi smirked as he closed his eyes. His hand reached through his red locks and flicked it away as he pulled out. . . a red rose. Well, this seems familiar. . .
"Huh? More flowers?!" Yusuke asked dumbfounded.
"Now that's weird. If he is trying to win the beast over, I don't think that's a good idea." Kuwabara protested just as confused as I was.
"The Beauty and The Beast." I joked sarcastically as my arms crossed over my chest. "How ironic."
I hear Hiei chuckle slightly behind me, probably because he knows something we don't.
"It's no ordinary flower." Kurama told us just as the pedals from the rose began to fly off of the flower. Then Rosehead slashed through the air while the rose turned into a. . . "Rose Whip!" Kurama shouted out while many rose petals began to fly around out of nowhere.
"Well, everything's coming up roses." Yusuke commented.
"It smells girly, I don't like it." The oaf grumbled. I ignored Yusuke's and Kuwabara's bickering and just watched the petals fall. I stretched one hand out, letting one red rose petal fall right into it.
"Just like in the good old times, huh Shuichi?" I wondered under my breath as I remembered that one time from our childhood when Sanyu, Shuichi, and I were out in their garden and climb on their beautiful cherry tree and play around. . .
"You still don't understand your problem." Genbu's voice brought me back to the present. "What good will a fancy whip do if you can't tell where I am?"
"Yes, not being able to find you is a problem." My childhood best friend agreed smoothly but that look on his face told me the opposite.
He now knew where he is. The question here is how?
"Ah! You just can't get scared, can you?" The Saint Beast kept taunting. "Well, I'll soon change that."
I patiently waited for the monster's next attack while the two boys shook with nervousness. I saw Kurama's grip get tighter around his weapon before jumping straight up to the
"Found You!" Rosehead shouted just as Genbu revealed his hiding spot and charged at the redhead who slashed the monster with his whip.
"It's over." The demon beside me said with confidence. "The thorns on Kurama's whip can slice through any substance, including solid stone."
"Rose Whip Slash!" Shuichi exclaimed as he slashed for about six timed, separating Genbu's entire body into different parts. As he landed back onto his feet, the monster's body parts fell down.
"Ugh! How did you find me?" The ugly statue demanded.
"Your smell." Shuichi replied. "After filling the room with the rose's sweet aroma, your putrid odor was easy for me to find." Once his sentence was over Genbu's head fell sideways in defeat.
"Well, that's no fair." My sibling complained, with a joking tone. 'Why is it none of my fights can end that quick?" I mentally facepalmed at that idiot of a brother I have.
"He beat him in one blow. Now that's what I call a win." Kuwabara replied in amazement before letting out a small laugh.
"You idiots." Shadow Lord commented. "It only looked easy because Kurama was the one fighting. If you had fought, you would have died in under a minute." His statement made me scoff at him as I rubbed my temple with my hand.
"Why does every you say make me want to bash your face in?!" Carrot head snapped as he held up a fist in front of Hiei.
"Hah." Shadow Lord scoffed once more.
"Listen, I just happened to place third in Master Genkai's fighting tournament." Stupid Carrot bragged as he pointed at himself. "The only ones who managed to beat me were Yusuke and an evil monster."
I mentally facepalmed at the idiot. Again.
"What's your point?" Hiei asked, clearly unimpressed, not really interested in what the Ugly Carrot Head was talking about.
"You little-!" Stupid growled as he grabbed onto Hiei's collar and raise one fist up.
"Ladies, please, both of you are pretty, but can we save the bitching for the bad guys?" I snapped at them in a calm but silent growl of annoyance. I hear Yusuke and Kurama slight snicker at my comment while Kuwabara growled out in frustration before finally releasing the almighty Shadow Lord.
"Ok, but he started it!" Grumbled Carrot Top making me scoff at him.
Before I can scold at them more, I had that gut feeling again. Something is not right here. . .
"I guess now we go up the stairs." I hear my brother say it, but I didn't move an inch. Then Shuichi's small gaps followed after a moment of pause.
"It seems my fight is not over." Kurama stated, which made me snap out of my small trance and turn to the rock monster. The body parts started to shake, they. . . put themselves together like a puzzle.
"Who's beat? Not me." Genbu laughed as he placed his head back onto his neck.
"Uh, guys, I think he's putting himself back together." Kuwabara stated the obvious.
"You can disassemble me all you like, I'll come back together every time." The monster taunted, lifting his large hands toward the redhead. "Actually, it makes for a very nice attack." Just then his head and arms shot themselves straight toward the redhead.
"Rose Whip lash!" My friend shouted as he used his weapon again, chopping the body parts into little pieces.
"Right in the head!" Yusuke cheered in amazement. "Let's see him come back now."
Then Genbu's laughter was heard again.
"Want to try again?!" The ugly statue jabbed as he put himself together. Again. Kurama turned to the rock monster with a glare.
"Ok, that was luck." My brother exclaimed.
"Let's end this. How would you like to be stoned to death?!" The Saint Beast shouted before repeating his attack. Shuichi managed to jump out of the way and dodge the sharp stones. As they were flying to the other direction, I noticed something red within them. It was like a red rock that was pulsing like a heartbeat.
Wait, that's it!
"They're coming back!" Kuwabara cried out.
"Kurama!" Yusuke shouted out. As the rocks flew back toward Shuichi, he stood right in front of them.
He must have noticed that shining stone.
"What the hell's he doing? He is gonna get himself killed!" My clueless brother exclaimed in frustration. My eyes darted back to that red stone. I see Rosehead's hand reach for it, and grabbed it. As the other stones passed by him, Shuichi knelt down as he panted heavily.
"You're not even fighting back now, those blows must have made you insane." Genbu tauntingly said as he placed his body parts back together. I hear my childhood best friend laugh tiredly at the monster's statement, while I mentally chuckled on the inside "Yes, I'm sure of it." The rock creature mocked as his head began to form back up. "Now you're laughing at nothing." I covered my mouth with one hand as I looked away from the Ugly Statue's embarrassment. "W-wait, how did you get on the ceiling?" Now he finally realized something was not right. "H-hey! What's wrong?" My brother and Kazuma began to laugh their asses off.
"I've heard of breast balls before but come on!" Yusuke screamed as he was dying with laughter.
"Yeah, I'd like to see him use a toilet." Kuwabara added, completely losing his shit.
A small snort escaped through my throat and fingers but I covered it up.
"What did you do to me?!" The Saint Beast asked in disbelief.
"I took this." Rosehead stated as I turned back to him. He held out that red rock that I noticed earlier.
"Uh, what's that?" Genbu asked with a small hint of fear in his voice. Now that made me raise an eyebrow, because either he is too scared when he got hit with realization, or is he that stupid not to know the structure of his own body and their weaknesses?
"I believe this is the equivalent of the hypothalamus portion of your brain." Kurama answered smoothly. "It regulates all functions of your body, including the process of putting you back together. It seems to relay an energy signal when you separate, making it very easy to find." Genbu looked shocked.
"You. . . can't do this" The stone monster stuttered. "Give it back to me!" He demanded but Shuichi just threw it away. "GIVE IT BACK!" Genbu shouted.
"Farewell!" The Fox-boy said before slashing the red stone right in the middle. As soon as it disappeared out of our vision, the monster exploded into pieces.
"I don't think he liked that." Kuwabara said proudly.
"Good job Kurama!" Yusuke complimented. Suddenly Kurama fell to his knee as his arm clutched onto his cut. I rushed to his side and placed my hands onto the redhead's back and shoulder.
"Are you okay?" My brother asked in concern as we all gathered around our injured teammate.
"If Kurama is injured, we are going to have some problems." Hiei stated with a serious tone.
"I'm sorry, Yusuke, Miyuki." Shuichi said as he gave an apologetic look to my brother before turning to me with the same expression.
"Nah, you've earned yourself a break anyway." My brother said with a grin.
"Yeah, I'll handle the next one." Kuwabara replied confidently and I sighed.
"You're an idiot." I scolded at Rosehead with a shake of my head before I moved my hand to one of my leather pouches. I popped the top open and, in a small circular motion, I elegantly moved my hands. A small amount of water floated out and began to cover my right hand like a glove.
"Miyuki I'm fine-." Shuichi was about to reassure me, but I had none of it.
"Just shut up and hold still, Rosehead." I told him with a stern tone, shutting him up instantly. I placed my watery hand onto his wound and I closed my eyes, letting out a deep breath and concentrate on the deep cut. I hear my friend wince in pain as his body tensed up under my cold touch, but he soon relaxed as my healing abilities began to do its magic. "How is it?" I asked him politely after opening my eyes and look at Shuichi's expression.
"Better." Rosehead nodded as he gave me a small smile. "Thank you."
I nodded my head as I helped him get back on his feet.
"Whoa, that's some good water." Kuwabara commented. "When did you learned that?"
"Hn, I always knew. . ." I trailed off, my voice almost breaking. I started walking ahead before I accidentally break my mask of blankness. I hear Kazuma and Yusuke complain murmuring behind my back, but I paid no mind to that and just kept on going to our next destination.
