Hello, my loves. It has been 6 months, and I wanted to write an update to you guys on The Roommates. I'm sorry to anyone who follows this story and gets a notification that it was updated. This isn't an "official" update, just a note. Before I say anything else, I need to stress this important point first: if you really really love this story and enjoy reading it, please do not freak out. This isn't an announcement of how I've decided to abandon the project, or how I am taking an official "hiatus." (To be fair… I always take hiatuses unintentionally!)

Recently I have been having a lot of problems with my laptop, and now it's in a state where it isn't turning on. I've sent it to a repair shop and it's been there for a little over a week while we ship in a needed part for it. It has the current chapter that I have been working on, but more importantly, it also has the lemon that I wrote which I plan on posting to AO3. Losing that file forever would be devastating to me, so I'm really hoping that it can get fixed with no problems. If not, I might have to hold the L and do a rewrite on that story (which in the long run would be fine, but mentally taxing!) I'll try working on bits and pieces of this next chapter in a Google doc until the situation is resolved. I'll basically be starting over on this chapter but that's okay because I didn't have much in the first place. I know a few of you have been waiting for an update, and I usually don't like writing filler notes like this and bumping the story up and all that jazz, but I really felt like you guys deserved to know what's been going on.

I also wanted to take a moment to address some questions that have been asked in reviews. (Responding to these months later makes me feel so bad, I'm sorry!)

First of all, a reviewer asked about whether or not I will upload the Roommates to AO3 since it makes stories more accessible for offline reading. I never considered doing that, but I also don't actually use AO3 and have no idea how it works. My answer to that is absolutely! Once I am able to sort out my files I will gladly upload the story to AO3.

I also want to address the other reviewer (same one perhaps?) who said my AO3 link doesn't work. FF links are a pain in the ass to figure out so I apologize for that. I will try to fix the link so that you guys can actually go to my AO3 page.

Much love to everyone who has supported me and this rollercoaster of a story. I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate all of you. I'm sorry for disrupting your notifs with a potentially disappointing update. This note is only temporary, when Chapter 27 is completed it will replace this.
