New Town Love – A Big Time Rush Fanfiction….
A/N – Welp, I'm back with another Big Time Rush fanfiction, yeah! This idea was swimming in my head, so I decided why not write it?
This is my first attempt at a Kendall/Jo romance kind of story, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Chapter 1
Big Time Plan
Gustavo Roque was a busy man, that was for sure. For one, he was originally the owner of Roque Records recording studio here in L.A which just made one man very busy on his own. But, working with a new boy band, he signed to his label knows as Big Time Rush, which made him busier. His current boy band was his ticket back to the top after not having a hit single for ten years, but the boys or dogs (as he liked to call them) have only been in L.A for about a year, and they still needed a lot of work. Gustavo wasn't a patient man; in fact, most said he had anger issues, yet he was a known name in the industry with lots of money and could turn dogs into stars. However, he struggled with Big Time Rush; they fooled around a lot and didn't take things seriously half the time. But, luckily their demos were picked and released, which helped them a little, helped Gustavo, but he had a plan. A plan to get their name out more and their music on the charts again. It was a simple plan, a way to expose some of the members more, but he just worried if it would work or not, but the more he watched New Town High, the more he grinned…
"Hey Gustavo, the band is here – "Kelly Weignwright, his assistant, states as she poked her head into his office. " – And I have them waiting in the lobby."
Pausing his computer, he looks up from the latest episode of New Town High and sighs. He says, "Alright, bring the dogs in, and I need to speak with them before we begin work for the day." Gustavo finishes as he smirks; he shuts his screen down to wait for the boys.
With that, Kelly nodded and vanished, and not a moment too soon, the four members of Big Time Rush entered his office. The four boys were Kendall Knight, Logan Mitchell, James Diamond, and Carlos Garcia; they sat in the office chairs and hung around. Gustavo rubs the top of his forehead, hoping his plan would work to get Big Time Rush's name out there more. As long as the boys didn't question him, all would be good.
"You wanted to see us?" Kendall questions with a raised eyebrow, the other three nod wanting to know what this meeting was about.
Gustavo sighs, "I did. Now…you boys know that your name is becoming a little known. However, since we just only recently had a small tour for your first album, you're still not huge yet. So, we need to get your name out more than just through music…." Gustavo begins as he stands and stretches.
"What do you mean, isn't music why we are a band?" Carlos questions making everyone eyed him oddly.
"Yes – "Gustavo states as he rolls his eyes. " – But there are other forms of media. I've been thinking of having you branch out a little into other aspects of Hollywood. Acting, modeling, interviews…whole nine yards…." Gustavo continues. "…Lucky for us, an opportunity has arrived…have you heard of the famous drama tv series New Town High?" Gustavo questions as he gets into his desk drawer for something.
At this, the four boys groan, making Gustavo eye them oddly. When they see him look at him, Kendall says, "Yes; my little sister watches it all the time…" Kendall explains with a frown.
"I honestly personally don't mind it; it's okay," James states with a grin.
Logan hits James on the head playfully, "That's because you think the lead girl Jo Taylor is hot." Logan finishes as he crosses his arms in annoyance.
"But so does Kendall, right Kendall?" James questions hoping his buddy would back him up.
Kendall shrugs, "Yeah, she's hot, I'll admit it, but it's still a girly tv show." Kendall remarks as he shakes his head.
"Why are you asking us about New Town High anyway?" Carlos questions as he eyes Gustavo with interest; he wanted to know what the man was up to.
Gustavo sighs, "Well…as I was saying, an opportunity has arrived to help us get BTR's name out there. There is an opening cast role for a new male lead in the show. They are replacing Dak Zevon because he moved onto another role for Varsity Vampire. So I am taking it upon one of you to audition for the role." Gustavo states with a smirk.
At this information, the four boys start all declining the offer at once, none of them really wanting to be on New Town High. It's not that they didn't think it was a good show; it was, but they preferred to stick with just making music; it's what they were better at anyway. Plus, if they didn't get the role, they knew Gustavo would be mad at them. The argument lasted for a few seconds, and Gustavo finally had enough.
"QUIET!" Gustavo yells, making the four boys jump in their spots and go silent. He calms down but yells a little quieter. "I am your boss, and you're going to do as I say whether you want to or not! This will help get your name out more, but they will want Big Time Rush to perform a song for their soundtrack if you star on the show. That and it'll help New Town High reach other fans as well that have never heard of the show before; it's a win, win." Gustavo finishes with a sigh.
"Fine, then who's going to the audition?" James questions, making everyone fall silent.
Gustavo now holds a small script in his hands; he comes around the desk and walks behind the four boys, and says, "That's where I had been thinking. And I think that Kendall – "He says the boy's name as he slaps the script onto the boy's chest making Kendall reach up in surprise and grab it before it falls. Gustavo finishes, "– Should be the one to try out. Read the script, memorize it, audition, and get that roll." Gustavo demands as he turns back and goes back to sitting at his desk.
All four boys are flabbergasted. Kendall says, "What? Why me?"
"Because you're the leader of Big Time Rush," Gustavo states simply as he leans back in his chair. "So, I trust you to do it."
"But I can't act – "Kendall begins to defend him only to be cut off.
"Not my problem," Gustavo states with an eye roll before he sighs. He thinks and asks Kendall. "Have you ever even tried acting?" Gustavo demands while glaring at the boy, who in response only shook his head. "You'll do it and like it. And you three – "He points to Logan, James, and Carlos. " – Will help him practice his line and everything." Gustavo finishes as he eyes the boys. "The audition is Friday at 9 am at Sony Studios, so don't be late," Gustavo states as he eyes Kendall seriously.
A moment of silence fills the room, and James says, "What if he doesn't get the role?"
"Let's just say he'll regret not getting it…."
Everyone just felt the sudden tension, and all Kendall could do was sinking into his seat, suddenly feeling a whole wave of pressure on him. Why Gustavo chose him was beyond his thoughts. All he could do was hope he passed this audition and got the role. There was only one way to find out, and that would happen this Friday….
