A/N: Hi guys thank you for coming back, hope you enjoy this chapter!
"This is him momma." The man apparently known as Katakuri shoved him forward.
Sabo glared at the man from the sudden action against him.
"Ahh, Blondie. Just the little boy I wanted to see." A smile appeared on the humongous figure in front of Sabo. "I'm so happy we were able to save you from that foolish Revolutionary."
"Dragon." Sabo found himself stating, eyes locking on the figure. "His name is Dragon."
There was a pause, followed by a chuckle slowly turned into an unending laughter. "You seem to still care for him, Blondie? Is that the case?"
"What's it matter to you?" Sabo slung his head to the side, biting on his tongue for the sudden spat of hatred. "The likes of you shouldn't say his name."
"My, my. What language you've developed while sailing with them." The figure then sat up straight, "Do you have a dream, Blondie-kun?"
Sabo gave an uninterested glower at the lady, before huffing through his nose.
"Well, I have a dream." She cackled at the lack of response from the young boy. "I want to create a place where all the races can live together, side by side and peacefully."
Everyone in the room seemed to relax with the sounding of the dream.
Sabo raised his eyebrows. He hadn't expected such a caring and equalizing answer from the said power hungry person in front of him.
"I-," He paused. Did he have a dream? What even was his dream? His thoughts began to slowly devour his mind. "I-," His shoulders trembled.
"Don't think hard about your dream or you'll overthink it."
Sabo bit his bottom lip,"I-I want to confirm i-if my brothers are actually d-dead."
He said it.
The corners of his eye began to sting.
He actually said it.
His cheeks heated up and his nose stirred.
He finally gave his dream and nightmare form.
His shoulders trembled.
The whole room went quiet staring at the boy as he slowly slumped to the floor in a panicky mess.
"I'm sorry!"
Sabo sat up panting and sweating profusely. It didn't take him long to realize he wasn't in front of a bunch of strangers. "Eh? Where am I?"
When no answer came he created one himself and slowly he remembered.
"Shit."
He felt disgusting. He had just broken down in front of people he didn't even know the names of. So to use disgusting was an understatement of how he felt.
He felt like something was stuck on his heart, but traveled to his back and hovered over him. As if waiting for him to relax so it could take him.
*knock* *knock*
The door cracked open to reveal a young girl with pigtails and a much older lady with white hair.
"U-um, Blondie right?" The white haired lady spoke up first, "I'm sorry about earlier. Our mama can be a bit imposing," She paused for more wording," but! She didn't mean it."
Sabo stared at the lady with no expressions or emotions.
"Well, uh." She glanced around awkwardly, "I-I'm Charlotte Smoothie. Call me Smoothie." She then elbowed the younger girl.
"I'm Pudding."
Sabo continued to stare without blinking or switching targets of attraction.
"You and Pudding are around the same age!" She smiled as her eyes slightly twitched. "Isn't that cool? You guys can relate a lot!" She then backed to the door, "And on that note . . . i'll be back!"
Sabo stared at Pudding.
Pudding stared at Sabo.
"So why does your hair do that?" Pudding was the first to break the silence.
Sabo squinted his eyes, contemplating whether to reply. " . . . What do you mean?'
"Like it waves . . . it's stupid."
"It's not stupid. Also i'm not sure why it does that." Sabo shrugged off the question. "What's a kid like you doing on a ship like this?"
Pudding rolled her eyes, "Speak for yourself."
"Nice."
There was an empty silence.
"Since i'm her child, I sail the ocean blue with her." She pulled out a chair from a desk in the room and took a seat.
'Family?' Sabo opened his mouth, "Her ch-"
"Please don't ask anything about that. I'm not really supposed to speak on it." She sighed and looked away from Sabo's direction.
"Mhm."
She flinched, "Mhm? That's all?" She paused. "You're not gonna bug me for more?"
Sabo studied her expressions, "You told me you don't wanna, so why would I?"
" . . . thanks." She mumbled. "Well if you stick around. You'll learn a lot about the pirate world, territories, navigation, and a butt load of stuff."
"I know about some of that stuff," Sabo noticed her frown, " . . . But I could still learn a lot more."
She smiled confidently before walking towards Sabo. She put her hands down near both side of him, "First lesson: Even though we are a family, we are still pirates. Trust no one."
He maneuvered himself to be able to flip her onto the bed, as he slowly bent down to her ear. "I told you that I know a few things and that's one of them." He slowly released her.
"Ouchie. You didn't have to be so aggressive."
Sabo nodded, "Yea, you're right, but I was."
Pudding giggled, but slowly it turned into laughter, uncontrollable laughter. "You butt."
Sabo smiled at her childishness, it was a breath of fresh air. However, his breath skipped as his eyes stopped at something on her forehead.
Pudding was too distracted by her laughter, that she didn't notice the sudden mood change in the other boy.
"Um, Pudding right?"
She happily nodded her head at Sabo, "Yea?!"
"Well, um, what's that on your forehead?" He questioned, pure curiosity in his eyes.
Pudding froze.
"I just saw it while you were laughing."
Her breathing became rapid, as her fingers began to tremble.
"And uh I was just curious, but you don't ha-"
She turned around and slammed the door right behind her, saying nothing as she left Sabo in confusion.
"E-Eh?"
He stared at the door, contemplating what had happened. "Did I say something?"
*knock* *knock*
"Pudding?" Sabo looked towards the door with an etch of hope.
"Katakuri." A gruff voice corrected him.
Sabo glanced away from the door, with any hope in him slowly crumbling down.
"Come on. You have to know the ship, if you're going to be staying here."
Sabo continued to stare at the wall, "Don't wanna."
"Stop being a brat." Katakuri grumbled, "The quicker we get through this the faster you can eat."
Right on cue His stomach let out a rumbling sound, he quickly moved his hands over it. "Alright. Fine, let's go."
Katakuri rolled his eyes before leading out of the door, "We are the Big Mom Pirates."
"Mhm."
"On our ship we have sweet commanders and they're all children of Big Mom."
"Mm."
"I'm one of the oldest here."
"Mm."
"We poop clouds and ride alligators."
"Mhm."
*Bonk*
"Ouch!" Sabo rubbed the bump that the older man placed there. "Why the hell would you hit me, weirdo?"
Katakuri glared at him, "How about you pay attention, then maybe I won't have to hi-"
"You, Smoothie and some other guy named cracker are generals. You're the second son and one of the oldest, with perospero being the first. Pudding is one of your youngest members. Big mom is an emperor with many territories, and you're all her children. However you have different fathers. This stupid ship is a cake. You're most likely the strongest one here." He sighed. "I was listening."
Katakuri gaped at the younger boy, 'Not only did he tell me all the information I gave him, but he compiled all the information he's figured out.'
"Oh! How could I forget?" Sabo put a finger to his face, before his face twisted into one of patronizing. "You're the Big Mom Pirates."
"Cheeky brat." Katakuri let the insult slip out as a vein grew on his forehead. "Well since you're caught up on information, we have to see where you combat lands at." As he finished the sentence, he stopped in front of an open area with a mat.
"Combat?" Sabo questioned, "You want me to fight you?"
Katakuri raised an eyebrow. "Are you unable to fight?"
Sabo whistled a tune, "I'm just worried about you."
Katakuri stepped onto the mat, waiting for him to get ready.
Sabo walked onto the mat and took his positioning, he evaluated his opponent in front of him.
A tall figure man around maybe 6'7 or possibly taller, his physique was in his prime if his abs were anything to go by. The man had to be around 25 as there was no traces of gray hair on his face. He might have a devil fruit or might use a weapon.
"Too much thinking." Katakuri steadied himself in a combat ready position, "You shouldn't think so much just do-"
"Shut up." Sabo lept towards him before attempting to strike the older person in the gut. Once he did that he'd bring him down to His level and teach him a lesson or two. But he wasn't expecting his hand to meet air.
After a strenuous fight that last all but 10 minutes the younger boy was flattened out onto the floor, face down.
"Seems you blacked out." Katakuri walks over to him and bends down, getting a better look at the boy. "You don't look half bad asleep this way." Katakuri wasn't wrong, Sabo, put in a very humble way was nothing less than handsome. His wavy, blonde streaked hair reached his cheeks and was enough to make any girl swoon. While the scar that adorned his face in a blunt manner only complimented his features and fair smooth skin. His nose was sharp and his eyes were sharper and his face was nicely chiseled. He was a handsome young boy, but only after the close observation had Katakuri started to notice some of the small scars that marked the boy's body. The boy seemed to grimace within his unconsciousness a bit, causing Katakuri to sigh.
"Well I guess that's enough for now." He slinged the boy's limp figure over his shoulder as he began walking out the door, he came into contact with Smoothie, "Ah how is he?" She flashed a model esque smile towards the little boy, although her eyes remained serious.
"A monster," That was the simplest way to put it Katakuri thought, "The brat is strong." Of course Sabo was nowhere near strong enough to best him, but for a kid his age, which Katakuri realized he didn't know. I should ask him about himself later. He was strong. He had some control over armament haki, having control over haki at such a young age was beyond an impressive feat. It was almost unheard of.
Smoothie stared at the motionless figure resting on Katakuri's back, "Hm? Was it really necessary to bring him? What's the point? What does Mama want from him?" Quite frankly her curiosity had been eating her alive, just what was it about this boy that had mama so interested in him. Smoothie had heard of the plan because she was in the room when mama made the call to katakuri, but she still didn't understand why.
"I'm sure it has something to do with his time with the revolutionaries, " Katakuri answered, fully trusting that his sister would keep the information to herself, "I'm sure that Mama has a bigger plan dealing with revolutionaries, you could only imagine her disappointment when they continuously declined meetings with her." He shifted the boy to a more comfortable position. "But now they have a reason to come see her."
This stifled a laugh from Smoothie as she watched her older brother trying to be a bit gentle with the younger boy, "Well revolutionaries aside, he does seem interesting. A handsome young boy that could learn very fast. I like it." A cocky smile broke upon her face, "Let me help you."
"Help Me?" the older man raised an eyebrow at that sentence. What was there to help?
"Help train him, teach him, guide him. Help connect to him," Her cocky smile mutated into one of sickening interest, "I want to help make him useful to Mama."
Katakuri stared at his sister for a while before shrugging, "Hn. ok." She beamed at his affirmation, which he responded by passing her and waving a goodbye, eager to get Sabo to his room.
Once he laid the young boy down, Sabo had turned in his sleep and muttered something along the lines of Lucky, or maybe it was Lucy. He couldn't register what it meant, but thought nothing of the matter until he tried to leave but a hand latched to his arm. This caused his to snap around quick to detain the younger boy, but he was met with confusion and awe when the boy's eyes had been closed and he was still laying down.
"Don't," He mumbled in his sleep, his hands began to tremble, "pleece. D-Don't"
Please? Katakuri understood that this could've been a nightmare, but what stopped him from leaving was the fact the boy had reached out whilst he was asleep and began begging for the older man to not leave.
"Oi." Katakuri began to try and wake him up, but the tremble from Sabo's hand stopped him from continuing, before he simply sighed and slid down to the floor. He hadn't mind staying in the room with the boy for a while, it didn't bother him and it wasn't a sign of weakness. He was merely curious.
After a while Sabo had released the older man and he took the time to escape out of the room while the boy was still asleep.
The next morning Sabo woke up gasping and nestling in his own sweat, every night he went to sleep he had a nightmare, it was nightmare after nightmare. It was so consequential to the point he woke up more tired than when he went to sleep.
He looked around him wary, unsure of where he was or how he got there. I passed out? His mind began piecing together the puzzle, with some of the information that was left out.
A knock at the door guided him out his thoughts.
He was expecting the same pink haired man to emerge from the door, but was left a bit taken aback when instead of pink he was met with orange. A burly, strong looking man emerged from the door, his hair orange with the ends being yellow. He was taken aback by the very tacky look.
"Oh brat? You're up?" The new man raised his eyebrow curiously.
Sabo, for as mature as he believed he was, he was still a child. Goading, insulting, and stating what came to his mind was nothing new to him, so it didn't surprise him when he accidentally slipped up and said, "orange."
"Eh?" The man glanced at the boy, staring at him, eyes widened with exasperation. There was laughter behind the door, which confused the man to why'd there'd be laughter, but he patted his hair. "Oh my head. My name is Oven."
'Pfft,' Sabo covered his mouth, realizing he was the one who had let out a laugh this time. His eyes were wide with hesitance before looking up towards the newly named Oven.
The older man was looking down at him, "Eh?" He positioned his body so it was facing Sabo, "Did you just laugh?" He slowly walked towards the teen, each step feeling heavier than the last, but before he reached the teen two figures fell down by the door laughing. One was Pudding, who Sabo had identified, but the other he didn't know.
"EH?!" Oven turned around shocked and a little less serious than he was, "Pudding, Flampe what are you two doing here? Why are you LAUGHING?!" His eyebrow furrowed hard enough for a being to appear on his forehead, his eyes made his way back to the younger boy, "Then what's your name? Huh?"
Sabo stared back at the older man, contemplating but figured there was no harm as he could easily find it out. "Sabo."
"NAHAHAHAHAHAHA, SABO? NAHAHAHA stupid name." His face went serious as he forced himself to laugh loudly in the younger boy's nerve, "Stupid, stupid, stooooopid name."
Although Sabo knew the older man was being childish that wouldn't stop him from giving a piece of his own mind, but before he could rebuttal, both of the girls who were in the room cut in.
"Eh how lame." The other girl named, Flambe, picked her nose and turned her head. Oven felt his feelings jerk as if he had been shot by an arrow. Next was Pudding who turned her head too, "Yea so uncool." Another arrow felt like it had hit oven in the back as he grabbed onto the wall for support before sliding down, shame, embarrassment, and dejection covering his being.
"Why don't you two love your big brother?" He asked voice on the verge of cracking and headed down in disappointment.
Sabo let out a laugh, he had quietly been watching the interaction and had made the mistake of becoming too absorbed in the trio's comedy act, that he forgot his own situation, surroundings, and thoughts.
All three of them stopped to stare at the younger boy, taking in the lightened mood and the smile that was beaming ever so slightly. They stared in awe. Once his laughs had died down, Oven continued with the original reason he came here, "Get ready brat, Breakfast time." and as if on cue, Sabo's stomach had let out a growl that caused him to redden in the face and the two girls to giggle.
Oven pointed to the door a small smirk coating his lips, "We'll be waiting outside." He ushered the girls out.
Sabo was looking around at the island, maybe because he hadn't been paying attention when he first got here but everything was made of food or should he say desserts mostly. Every window, flower, house, everything was made of some sort of edible item.
Oven stopped at a building opening the door and pulling Saboout of his thoughts. "This is the food hall for the member of mama crew, I hope you paid attention on how to get here, because I don't want to escort you everytime brat." Sabo only responded by staring at the humongous building.
"Go on in brat."
