So, Mr. Wigglesworth...what'd you think of the Christmas party last night? Pretty fun way to end it off, right?
I guess it was. I certainly didn't do much during that party.
You don't do much anyway, so it's no big problem. You saw everything that went down, right? It was fun.
Yeah.
Foxy was relaxing in the main room today. He was sitting at one of the tables while Mr. Wigglesworth was sitting on the table itself. He was talking to the bear about the stuff that had happened yesterday. It had been a doozy, that was for sure. But now it was over, and Christmas had finally concluded.
And remember what Puppet did?
Downing all those galloons of eggnog? He looked pretty wonky afterwards.
Hah! I know, right? He recovered from it pretty quickly, though, so he's alright. Still pretty funny, though. And how'd running around with Freddy go?
It was hectic. He was talking about nonsense or whatever. Makes me question everything. Like, are reindeer even real?
Of course they are. It's magical reindeer that doesn't exist.
But Santa exists. Wouldn't that mean magical reindeer also exists?
Er...good point, but I'd rather not dwell on that. Something tells me this world is a bit weirder than I ever would've known.
Speaking of that, I think I saw Santa flying over the area in his sleigh last night.
What? Really? No, there's no way he'd come back over here after...after what I did. You know what I mean.
It seems unbelievable, though. Santa's got magic. He wouldn't just get knocked out so easily by you.
That's what I thought, but he did. It was weird seeing him come.
"Talking to your stuffed bear again? We both know what happened with Santa. I was there to witness it all. I must say, I'm quite proud of what you did."
Of course you're proud. I'm not proud of it, myself. I shouldn't have done any of that.
"Even so, I was there to see it. I'll remember it."
You're always there to see there. After all, you're nowhere else but inside me.
"...for now, that is. Eventually, that will change."
No, I don't think it will, voice. Quiet.
Foxy shushed the voice, tucked Mr. Wigglesworth back into his storage tank, and walked over to the front door to look outside. It was still night. The full moon shined as brightly as ever. The amount of parked cars in the parking lot had grown exponentially since Foxy had last checked, and for good reason; many guards had visited and left their cars there since then. As he stood there and looked out, he thought about things again.
He was kind of glad that Christmas was over. It would be refreshing to see Ballora finally drop the topic of Christmas and go back to normal everyday hijinks, that was for sure. And maybe things would start to get more exciting once Freddy finished hibernating and Baby finished being sucked into her games. Having the whole crew around would make the days pass much faster.
Then his mind switched to wondering where the others even were. For most of them, he was sure that he knew the location.
Hmm...I do wonder where everyone is, though. Baby went back to her room and is back in video game hibernation...Ballora's locked herself in her room with Reggie...Freddy went back to hibernate some more...and Bon-Bon is...uh...actually, I don't know where he is. Puppet had better not have locked him in a cupboard again. I don't want another fight to break out. As for Puppet, he's probably in his box.
He had learned all of this after checking today. Everyone had gone back to their own rooms and was doing their own things today, leaving Foxy to quietly think to himself and reflect on everything he had seen happen so far.
"Hey! Foxy!"
He was broken out of his mind by someone behind him. He turned to see Puppet coming towards him, holding a sheet of paper in his hands.
"Oh, hey. Good to see you around." Foxy welcomed, nodding and grinning. "What's up? Seen Bon-Bon anywhere? I know where everyone is except him."
"I don't really know." Puppet replied. "I've been leaving him alone like you said to do. Wherever he is, I don't have anything to do with it."
"I'm hoping it won't. Seriously, don't go locking Bon-Bon in places."
"I won't do that anymore, alright? Anyway, I was coming here to talk about something completely unrelated. I was looking through these filing cabinets in my office, and I found this piece of paper that looks interesting." Puppet waved the paper a little. "I want to read it off."
Hmm...well, this probably is important. He wouldn't come to tell me about it if it was just an ordinary piece of paper. Foxy rationalized. "Sure, let's hear it. What's it say?"
"According to what I've read so far, it's a letter addressed to the current owner of Circus Baby's Pizza World. This place, I mean. Let me read it off..."
"Go on."
Dear Mr. [REDACTED], current owner and operator of the Circus Baby's Pizza World location in Littlewood, Ohio.
The company has been in development of a series of new animatronics in order to increase the quality and entertainment of your establishment and other establishments related to it. This letter is a notice to alert you that in the coming days, new shipments of animatronics will be delivered to the building and set up in the proper places.
We have provided a list on the back of this notice that will give you names and photos of the animatronics that we intend to deliver. Please read it carefully.
Regards,
Afton Robotics
Puppet turned the page over. "Here's the list. Some of the words are abbreviated and a little scratched, but here's what it says..."
1. C. Baby (x1)
2. F. Freddy (x1)
3. Ballora (x1)
4. F. Foxy (x1)
5. Bon-M. (x1)
6. Bon-F. (x1) (Counterpart)
7. Bidy. (x7) (Special companion, designated to be with CB)
8. Reena (x4) (Special companion, designated to be with B)
9. [NAME PENDING] (x1) (Defective model, currently being set to new purpose)
10. [NAME PENDING] (x1) (Unfinished model, will be sent as-is)
11. Elec. (x3) (Special companion, designated to be with CB)
-. [NAME REDACTED, CANCELED, CURRENTLY BEING MOVED TO STORAGE]
"That's all it says." Puppet finished.
"Wow. Eleven animatronics in total." Foxy replied. "So does that mean they're all coming soon? Wait, but...F. Foxy? That's my name! Does that mean me?"
"Probably, yeah. And Freddy, Baby, and Ballora are on the list, too." Puppet confirmed.
"So this list is probably counting all of us. But I haven't heard of any of these other animatronics. Maybe they got lost in transit or something?"
Puppet shrugged. "Could be. And what's with this one on the list named 'Bon'?"
"Oh! That has to be Bon-Bon. There's no doubt about it."
"I mean...I can see that, but there's two of 'Bon' on this list."
Foxy frowned. "Really? What's with the second one?"
"It's named 'Bon-F'. The picture they attached is kinda blurry, but...here, take a look." Puppet showed the picture near the name 'Bon-F' to reveal a very hastily-taken imagine of something. It was hard to make out, but it looked like a pink blob.
"Hmm. That's interesting." Foxy got an idea, and grinned. "Maybe it's an unused prototype of Bon-Bon. Maybe the pink is because they thought he was a girl. That'd be a riot. I could only imagine the look on Bon-Bon's face if it were true that he was once meant to be a girl."
"Whatever the case, guess that's one. And the others are just...weird. The pictures for all of the other animatronics are just so blurry, I can hardly make them out. There's this tan-white blob...another slightly darker tan blob...a white blob...a bluish-white blob...and this one they labeled as an 'unfinished model' doesn't even have a picture attached."
"All these guys didn't get transferred yet, huh? I guess the list is based on priority. Baby's the mascot, so it's only sensible that they'd get her here first. Then there's Ballora, then Freddy...and then me. I don't see you on the list, though."
"That's because I'm not a registered animatronic of this location. I wasn't shipped here by the company; I just came of my own accord."
"Wait, what? I never knew that."
"You didn't know this whole time? I told you before. When I heard you and Freddy were moving to this new place, I decided going there would be better than staying at the location where I was."
"Which location were you at?"
"Some obscure side location for the Fazbear brand. Barely got any business anyway, so I decided I'd leave and find a better place."
"Makes sense, but...how'd you even sneak to this place?"
"That was the hard part, of course. I got the chance when a supply truck came. Some guys came in and took some parts of the place so they could use them to improve Circus Baby's Pizza World. I heard them discussing it and decided to sneak myself into one of the crates they hauled in. Man, was it a bit of a challenge to cram myself into that crate...but yeah, it worked. They never knew I was in there, so they put me on the truck and delivered me here. I got out of the truck and got inside. And ever since, I've been here."
"Wow...you did all that just to see us again?" Foxy grinned. "I'm glad you care."
Puppet smiled. "Yeah. Always have."
Foxy frowned again. "But that makes me want to know...how'd you get your box in here?"
Puppet flinched. "Oh, forgot to mention that. One of the things they took was my music box and prize box that I hid in. When they brought it in, they didn't seem to know where to put it, so...they put it over this trapdoor on the ground of the auditorium to cover it up. Later on, I found my box and started to clear it out into my new living place. When I found the trapdoor beneath my box, I opened it and found that underground area. Since it was all a bunch of free space, I decided to add it into my place to live."
"Ah, I see. Why didn't you ever tell me this before?"
"Guess I never thought to. Anyway, this other tan blob is weird, but...I think it's holding something." Puppet squinted at the picture. "A...balloon?"
"Really? Maybe they're bringing Balloon Boy here."
"Oh! Wait, you mean that kid from the location I used to be at? You know, the one where you and Freddy and Chica were there?"
"Yeah, that one. Balloon Boy was there, too. Maybe they're bringing him to the location." Foxy looked at the blurry picture. "Then again...I'm pretty sure he wasn't tan. He was red and blue."
"Mmm."
"Well...since this list exists, maybe the new friends we're getting are here already. We should look around for them."
"That sounds like a good idea. They might have already been delivered here."
"Exactly. The question is, where?"
"Hmm...maybe in the auditorium. I have a lot of crates and boxes in there."
"Good point. Let's check around there."
They left the main room to go and check.
But, a minute later, Foxy entered the auditorium and found not another animatronic...but a reindeer.
"What the-?" He stuttered. "When did this get in here?"
"Huh?" Puppet asked as he came into the room. "Oh...a reindeer. Hmm. I think Ballora brought that in last night and we never noticed."
Foxy sighed. "Sounds like her, alright. She really should've asked me for permission."
"If I remember correctly, she did. But you kind of went and got your systems all drunken during the party, so when she asked, you were...a bit woozy. And you said yes."
Foxy gasped, then facepalmed. "Dang it! Of course she asks right after I lose it. I really need to remember to pace myself during parties."
"I agree. Have you seen how many bottles you end up gulping down in the course of a night? Nobody else goes to that level."
"I know, I know. Anyways, this reindeer has got to go. I'll have to go to Ballora later and ask her to return it to...well, wherever she got it in the first place. Until then, I say we get back to the list." Foxy looked around himself. "Don't see any new animatronics in the room. Guess we checked the wrong area. Hmm...Puppet, who else does the list say? Does it, um...have Chica on it?"
Puppet shrugged. "I don't know if it does. Some of the words are scratched out."
"But what if she was coming here? I'd like that." Foxy smiled to himself. "She was a good friend back at the older places. If she left her own place and came to stay with us, I'd appreciate that."
"Another girl, though? I'm just hoping that if she is coming, she won't be anything like Baby or Ballora."
Foxy shook his head. "Actually, she's pretty different from them. Don't you remember how she was like?"
Puppet put a hand to his head. "Not really. My memories of the earlier days have gotten hazy recently. I never talked to her as much as I talked to you or Freddy."
"Come to think of it, that is true. I'll need to get you up to speed. One thing you might need to remember is that she has this cupcake with her."
"A cupcake?"
"Yeah, a sentient one with eyes. He'd ride around on her shoulders or hop off and bounce around the place a lot. Out of everyone, I'd say he was Chica's closest friend. She talked to him more than she talked to me. Not to mention all the mischief Cupcake loved to get into..."
"I don't get it. I never saw her with one."
"She didn't have one at the previous location we were at that had you there. Those were pretty miserable days for her, come to think of it. I'm glad she found Cupcake after we moved places, because she had been down in the dumps for a long while."
Puppet just looked off into the distance. "I think my memory banks are all messed up. I don't remember this stuff, even though some part of me is telling me that I should."
"You, too? Freddy has the same problem, except he tends to forget information that he learned more than he forgets memories of the past. But that's a problem for the future. For now, the list! Come on, is there anything else noteworthy?"
"Well..." Puppet stared back at the list. "This last one doesn't have a picture either. The note says that it was canceled and moved to storage. Guess they decided to scrap whoever this animatronic was..."
"Then we can forget about that one. Probably wasn't an important one if it got scrapped. Who else is there?"
Puppet paused, then his eyes widened. "Hmm. This isn't an entry on the list, but there's this picture in the corner. It looks like a map for a location. Foxy, does this look familiar to you?" Puppet showed the picture to Foxy. On the bottom-right corner of the page was a picture of a blueprint depicting the layout for a location codenamed 'sister location'. Foxy studied the map, but the location it was trying to show was one he didn't recognize at all.
"I've never seen this one before." Foxy replied. "I've been at four locations, with the one we're at included...but this picture isn't a location I've been to, even though it uses the name 'sister location'. What would a picture of this have to do with anything related to this place? After all, it can't be the place we're at now. Before I got transferred, I'd always hear the employees mentioning how they would need to plan a move to this 'sister location'. I now know that Circus Baby's Pizza World is that sister location, but this map uses the same name."
"Dunno what that means. Maybe there's multiple sister locations?"
Foxy shrugged. "Guess there could be, but that'd be confusing. How would the employees be able to know which sister location they're talking about if both locations use the same work-in-progress codename?"
"Your guess is as good as mine, Foxy. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable on this subject matter."
"Eh, then we can forget about it and focus on something else. I am curious, though...why's these new animatronics taking so long to arrive? Me and the others that got transferred here have been here for months already, but these others on the list still aren't anywhere to be seen."
"That does seem strange. Bringing animatronics from one place to another usually only takes a week at most." Puppet added, then shrugged. "Whatever the case, if the list says they're coming, then we'll probably just need to wait until we get further notice. Either they're coming or they're not coming."
"But they have to be coming, right? Me and Freddy and Bon-Bon are all on the list, and we were brought here within a day. Surely it can't be that hard for the company to bring the others in...unless they really are that bad at shipping."
"No, that can't be it. Fazbear Entertainment and Afton Robotics have their own problems, but failing to deliver animatronics hasn't ever been one of them." Puppet stopped in the middle of his sentence and focused on nothing, thinking to himself. "There's got to be another explanation. Maybe we're looking at this the wrong way."
Foxy nodded understandingly. "Yeah, makes sense. If everything isn't adding up, maybe we skated over a few details by accident. Check the page again and see if there's something we missed."
"Okay." Puppet looked back at the list. His blank eyes seemed to scan the page as he looked again for any hidden details. After a few seconds, he froze. "Oh. Uh oh. I understand now."
Foxy perked up. "What? What is it? What'd you find?"
"I found the date this was sent, and...I get it now. This letter...it was sent on January of this year."
"Wait...WHAT?! That long ago?!"
"Yeah. I thought it was more recent than that, but apparently it's not..."
"Then...then the company was planning to make the transition to sister location for over half a year, and us animatronics never found out until the month before they finally made the transfer? It really took that long?"
"According to the date, yes."
"But those other animatronics on the list would've been in transit for almost an entire year now, maybe even longer than that. There's no way that's possible."
"Then that can only mean one of two things." Puppet concluded. "Either they were canceled and we were never notified...or they were brought here, and they're somewhere in this place where we can't find them."
Foxy dwelled on that. So either the other ones on the list were never brought, or they were, but in a hidden area. What would the answer be? Foxy's mind considered it from every direction. He wanted to believe that the former was true, but...the company had managed to bring in him, Freddy, and a few of the others on the list. They got to the location without any hitches or interruptions or complications in the delivery. So how could the company have made this mistake with the others?
...
Maybe they hadn't. Maybe they had succeeded with the others after all. Which only meant one thing..."
"Puppet, we'd better keep an eye out." Foxy suggested firmly. "If what I'm thinking is correct, then...we could see another animatronic any day now."
"My thoughts exactly." Puppet replied. "They could be anywhere, though. There's a lot of this pizzeria that we don't have any access to, so these new arrivals could be located anywhere, and they could show themselves at any time."
"We'll have to be ready, then. Can we agree on it?" Foxy held out his hand for a handshake. "And let's tell the others, too. They need to know."
Puppet took Foxy's hand. "Agreed." They shook on it.
It was settled. In the coming days, they'd look out for anyone to appear.
Who knew what else waited in the walls of the building that remained untouched by Foxy and the others?
Unbeknownst to them, something was making its way through a darkened area. Light was low here, so night vision was all but a necesity.
The pipes were small, but not too small. They and the vents were good ways to travel across the known and unknown areas of the location.
And at that very moment, a small being was making their way through the pathways, trying to find the way out. Soon enough, they would locate the surface.
As they traveled, they thought to themselves on their goal.
Don't worry. Soon, I'll be there. And once I am, we can be together again...
