A/N: Hello. :) Since today is the 4th of July, I thought it best to post this chapter as a way of celebrating America's Independence Day. Plus, let's just say that we get to learn a lot more about Terra in this chapter. Anyhoo, enjoy. :)
Teen Titans: 3rd Season Rewrite
Chapter 6: Revolution
Act I
It all started one night with the full moon hanging in the night sky. Boisterous cheers were heard from ground level as three jets streaked past, leaving smoke trails in red, white, and blue. That night just so happened to be the 4th of July, evident by the banner across the Titan's favorite Pizza hangout, happy people hanging out up and down the block, one kid running with a sparkler while being chased by another, and every building in sight having a screen mounted near its roof to display an image of the American flag.
Then it pulled back to reveal 8 more signs of celebration circled around one more on the monitor with which Cyborg held a heaping plate of burgers and hot dogs in view.
"The burgers are cheesed, the dogs are hot, and the fireworks are about to begin. Man, I love the Fourth of July!", Cyborg shouted excitedly before it showed the other 5 titans, one of which was reading as usual, sitting on and around the couch.
"Please. This is a celebration of the month July, or of the number four?", Starfire asked as Cyborg set the food on the coffee table.
"Neither. It's Independence Day, sorta like America's birthday.", Terra responded.
"Oh! Should we then bake the America a cake?", Starfire suggested before Beast Boy chimed in, even sharing a slightly incorrect history lesson about America's revolution, which showed Cyborg as King George III and a younger manin a sort of regalia, but not before showing the number 1492 just above a couple of stuffed animals sitting at a table for a sort of tea party.
"No cake, and no tea! See, it all started back in 1492 with this tea party, in Boston. King George, or maybe it was King Norm. Anyway, the British were trying to make the colonists drink all this tea. But they were like, 'Dude! No way! We're sick of nasty, old tea and your crummy, English muffins!'", Beast Boy spoke as Cyborg, or rather, King George III, held the cup out with the other titans regarding it warily with Robin clutching a white flag of truce only for an angry commotion to erupt with veins flaring everywhere before Beast Boy ran up and dashed the cup away, making Cyborg and his crown bounce across the floor before it showed Beast Boy popping up and holding hid arm high as he finished.
"So they decided, 'Revolution!'", Beast Boy finished.
"Wow. I didn't know you know so much about history, Beast Boy.", Terra spoke in surprise.
Raven, however, was not impressed.
"Where'd you learn history? A cereal box?", Raven asked.
"What's your point?", Beast Boy retorted before a sweat drop appeared on Raven's temple.
And then, it was time for the countdown as it then showed it happening outside in a block of Jump City with the building screens counting as well, even on the pizza joint.
"Okay, the fireworks should be starting in five...", Robin began.
"Four..., three..., two...", the titans counted down.
But before it can proceed any further, the countdown suddenly disintegrated into static, which in turn yielded to an instantly recognizable face, which appeared bald on top, a fringe of gray hair, small rectangular sunglasses, and a thick cockney accent.
"Hello, my duckies.", the man spoke before Starfire gasped.
"Who's that?", Terra puzzled.
"Mad Mod!", Robin responded.
"Last time we saw the dude, he tried to hold us in a hypno school.", Beast Boy added.
"That bad?", Terra responded.
"So sorry to interrupt, but your revolution will not be televised. Matter of fact, it's been outright cancelled, as in, it never happened!", Mad Mod spoke as he twirled his cane before pressing the ruby on top, which caused the screen to show a black-and-white hypnotic pattern.
"Don't look!", Robin shouted before Terra exclaimed as she, Robin, and the other Titans covered their eyes with their forearms.
The citizens in the city, however, were not as lucky as the partiers became entranced by the pattern that played over it one of the citizens' ice cream cone even falling apart, unnoticed.
"You American colonies have been rebellious long enough. I'm reclaiming this city in the name of jolly old England! And you lot had best bow down before your new ruler, King Moddy the First!", Mad Mod spoke as his head appears in the spirals before a crown appeared and settled in his head with the background then changing into the British Union Flag with the hypnotized citizens then bowing down to him as Mad Mod laughed before getting his breath back.
"That would be me.", Mad Mod spoke.
Act II
In no time at all, a Union Jack suddenly crashed down to cover the night sky entirely, while up from the horizon came a black-and-white skyline reminiscent of London in the first half of the 20th century, the latter looking as if it has been cut out of an old photograph.)
"The American Revolution was a hoax. The Declaration of Independence is a tissue of lies. There is no George Washington, and there never was. And from now on, they're not cookies, they're called biscuits! Say it with me. 'Biiiissss-cuuuuiiiittttssss.'", Mad Mod spoke as it then showed his face on several screens as hypnotized citizens could only watch before then showing a black and white subway tunnel with a train rolling in it as the villain himself was inside.
"There, now. We'll have you unruly Yanks acting like proper Brits in time for tea.", Mad Mod spoke before the whole train shook, prompting the british villain to turn around to notice from a thick cloud of dust, which cleared, none other than…
"The Teen Titans. I see you've added a new ducky to your flock.", Mad Mod spoke in slight surprise.
"Class dismissed, Mod. Your twisted history lesson is over!", Robin discouraged.
"Oh, is it now, my little snot?", Mad Mod retorted before he pressed a button, causing a transparent barrier to slide down from the ceiling of his hideout with Robin somersaulting underneath it while Terra managed to leap forward just in time, leaving the rest of the team cut off on its side before Robin went toward Mad Mod, who then attempted to hi him with it only for Robin to stop it with his five fingers.
"Aren't you getting a little old for this?", Robin asked as he and Mad Mod's hands worked their way up toward the ruby as if they were kids deciding whose team gets to lead off in a baseball game.
"On the contrary, laddie. I'm feeling younger by the tick.", Mad Mod smirked just as Terra gasped at what might happen.
"Robin, look out!", Terra shouted while pushing Robin away from the cane just before Mad Mod pressed the gem.
Immediately, the two were wrapped in crackling red light and yells in agony. The other Titans stared in horror as Mad Mod's shouts gradually turn to deranged laughter.
"Terra!", Beast Boy shouted before Cyborg aimed his sonic cannon at the barrier and fired, but his shot ricocheted into the ceiling.
By then, a ghostly image of Terra floated into his mouth, and with a final flash, the energy subsides. When it did, Terra stood motionless for a moment before then collapsing to the ground with a groan before looking up to see Mad Mod just as he stepped forward, now considerably younger as he now has black shorts and blazers, an untucked white t-shirt with a loose black necktie and a full head of cherry red hair.
"Ha! Now that'll put the peas back in your porridge!", Mad Mod smirked.
Terra tried her best to grab his ankle but can barely get one hand off the floor given the jolt she's currently experiencing. And then, all of a sudden, Terra's whole body started glowing yellow with her hair flying up, much to everyone's surprise.
"What the flippin' heck?", Mad Mod puzzled.
First, Terra's body steadily grew into that of a young adult woman as she groaned. And then, her groans got louder as her body then suddenly plumped up some, enough to some degree to make it so that she isn't skinny anymore just before both her chest and her butt both ballooned to a point that her chest would tear at her shirt from the top middle part, exposing her cleavage at the middle while her butt caused her pants to tear apart at the leggings, turning it into a sort of underwear while also causing her belt to burst off her with Terra's hair growing considerably longer as well. Then, Terra's body stopped glowing yellow with her now longer hair dropping down, her groans replaced with slight panting. Terra was now no longer a young teenager, not in the least. Somehow, Terra had been turned into a young adult by Mad Mod's cane, which was altogether surprising, even for the villain, as Terra stood up straight as best she could, momentarily losing her balance.
"What just happened to me…?", Terra groaned while noticing her huge chest and bouncing it slightly, her voice now sounding more feminine like before gasping and covering her mouth for a moment and then uncovering it again.
"Is that my voice? Why is it so deep?", Terra puzzled in awe.
Needless to say, Mad Mod was shocked, if not increasingly livid, or as the british say, "Minged off" at how it backfired, although not by very much.
"This isn't right. You're supposed to be a weak, old woman, love, not as peppy and young as myself! And it was supposed to be that little ducky right there, not you!", Mad Mod shouted, gesturing to Robin.
"Well, for people who say youth is wasted on the young, I say wisdom is wasted on the old.", the young adult smirked in retorsion.
"Well, ain't it proper that I'm not old. So, you're just a prat for saying that. Ta-ra, Titans!", Mad Mod smirked in his own retortion just before throwing a lever, causing several explosives bolts to blow, not only freeing the locomotive from the rest of the cars, but also allowing rocket thrusters to extend from the sides and fire up, and urging Terra to grab Robin and jump off the car to join the others before it pulled away from the others with Mad Mod carried out of sight.
The others then swept into a tunnel, a switch thrown to route the track into the adjoining one with the rest of the train crashing through a barricade that has been set up there with all 6 titans now bracing themselves.
"Crud.", Beast Boy spoke in worry.
"Oh, this might hurt.", Terra winced as she then lifted her legs up just in time for them to hit the wall.
But when they did, the train suddenly stopped without much of a crash so much as a jarring shake. And as Terra opened her eyes, she was amazed to find the train stopped.
"Huh? I didn't know I could be that strong. Although, I may need to get some new clothes now.", Terra spoke in amazement and equal embarrassment as she realized how torn her old clothes are now.
"You know, Terra, I thought you look kinda beautiful, hot, sexy, and not to mention pretty like that. Also, you practically look like an angel and a goddess.", Beast Boy responded, making Terra blusg=h.
"Aw. Thanks, beast Boy.", Terra blushed with a slight giggle.
A moment afterwards, the 6 titans walked out of the subway with Terra now wearing bigger clothes, those of which were now orange with no symbol and yellow sides on her arms and sides and long leggings as part of her new suit, not to mention red boots and a red mask as well.
"Are you okay, Terra?", Robin asked.
"Yeah. I just didn't think I had that kind of pep in me.", Terra responded, glancing over to her now big butt with a blush.
"Well, whatever happened to you is probably better than what happened to the city.", Beast Boy responded, gesturing to the altered Jump City.
The Union Jack flag was still filling the sky with British traffic signs and urban landmarks, even the classic red telephone booths as far as the eye can see, especially the fish market where two old women happened to be out for a stroll nearby.
"Oh, look, dearie, kippers! Nine for twelve P!", the 1st old woman spoke
"No! They smell like fish! I hate fish!", the 2nd old woman shouted as a door opened and a fish comically put out its head for a moment and then popped it in again.
At the rooftops, two soot-streaked chimney sweeps, one tall, the other short and squat, popped up from adjacent stacks.
"Spittin' sport, Nigel! The vicar's got a stopped-up chimney!", the tall sweep spoke before he and Nigel both went down the chimney with a street-urchin paperboy leaning into view and holding up a fresh issue, which was entitled, "The Moddy Times" with the headlines stating, "Terra Blossoms Unexpectedly" and "King Moddy Runs Into Trouble!" with the photograph of Terra just after her growth spurt shown in the middle.
"Read all 'bout it! Titans give King Moddy run for his money!", the paperboy shouted.
"Wow. I heard about new travelling fast, but this is ridiculous.", Terra spoke in amazement before the sound of tromping boots was heard as they marched before all 6 turned to see the soldiers dressed as beefeater guards marching forward as they each carried a shouldered rifle, not to mention a hypnoscreen as the monitors opened on the chests, revealing them.
"So, what do we do now?", Terra asked.
"Hit 'em hard, hit 'em fast, and whatever you do, don't look at the...", Robin began as all except Beast Boy, who is now already babbling and drooling, covered their eyes.
"...hypnoscreens.", Robin finished flatly before the robots closed their chest minitors and took aim, firing high-powered musket balls at the titans.
"Quick! Make him laugh!", Raven urged before she, Cyborg, Starfire, and Robin rushed toward the shooters.
"I got it!", Terra nodded before carrying the mesmerized Titan to a relatively safe spot behind a parked car.
"There's gotta be something there to make him laugh. But what?", Terra puzzled before thinking very hard for a moment and then widening her eyes as she came up with an idea and cleared her throat.
"Okay. It may be a bit rusty, but… what do you call a bear that only attacks guys named Paul? A PAUL-er bear.", Terra spoke before Beast Boy suddenly laughed at the joke and quickly re-styled his hair into a "mod" cut, while also speaking in a british accent as well, much to both their surprise.
"Smashing, love. Jolly good laugh…", Beast Boy spoke before he widened his eyes in horror and then yelled out in equal horror, echoing among the buildings.
"Oh, dear! I'm a Tommy, a Limey, a Brit!", Beast Boy exclaimed in a british accent before a car dropped to the sidewalk behind them and exploded.

"Yo, Brit Boy! We could use a hand!", Cyborg shouted while getting pushed back as Robin dodged the other robot's blasts with Raven and Starfire having trouble before Terra charged in.
"Right, then. Have at you!", Beast Boy exclaimed while putting his fists up just as Cyborg was driven back against a wall, stared pop-eyed, and leapt away before a shot could strike him.
Then, as for Robin, he managed to leap up on top of another robot's head with Cyborg landing and did another jump just as the robot turned before firing only to miss again with Robin then tossing an explosive disc and Cyborg then firing his sonic cannon at the robot, creating a sonic boom move that hit the robot and pushed it back toward a wall only for it to be somewhat unaffected, much to the two Titans' surprise before Cyborg charged toward it and tried to launch a flurry of punches against the metal chest only to wind up with nothing but a pair of red, swollen hands and enough pain to make him whimper a bit with the Beefeater's only response being a raised fist.
"Oh, boy.", Cyborg spoke before he was suddenly knocked back by the strike with Terra and Starfire charging in with the latter firing starbolts at the robot, only for it to be ineffective with the robot stretching its hands out and grabbing Starfire and dragging her close to it, straining as it was about to crush her when suddenly, a rock was launched at the robot, prompting it to turn to notice Terra.
"Hey! Why don't you pick on somebody your own size, much less close to it?", Terra goaded before the robot then turned to Terra, tossing Starfire aside, about to attack her next when Raven lifted a double decker bus and tossed it on top of the robot.
"Raven, behind you!", Terra shouted just before Raven turned around just in time for the robot to get hit by a blast from its rifle.
Just then, Beast Boy caught the robot by surprise by turning into a T-Rex and headbutted it with a roar straight toward the wall with Robin and Cyborg helping Starfire up as Terra and Beast Boy helped Raven up.
"Thanks a ton.", Raven thanked.
"Well, it's closer to two tons, actually.", Terra responded just before the two damaged robots recovered with one of them lifting the bus off it and marched forward.
"Wow. They only got a few bruises and scratches, but they still want more?", Terra spoke in surprise.
"They are...quite durable.", Starfire commented.
"British engineering, love. Finest in the world.", Beast Boy responded in a cockney accent.
"Can you please stop talking like that?", Raven asked.
"You're just jealous because I sound like a rock star.", Beast Boy retorted before it showed a sight gag with Beast Boy on a brightly lit stage, rocking out with an electric guitar as the crowd cheered for him, although his hair is normal in this sight gag.
"We can worry about that later.", Terra responded as the two half-wrecked androids marched on.
"Stand your ground! We can take 'em!", Cyborg urged only for more robots to appear form behind.
"But we can't take all of them.", Raven responded.
"So, now what?", Terra asked.
"There's only one thing we can do for now. Titans, retreat!", Robin shouted before he and the others took off just as Beast Boy started shouting.
"RUN AWAY!", Beast Boy shouted as he and the titans ran into an alleyway with the robots marching after them.

Later that night, the robot was looking for the titans with a flashlight but had no such luck before moving away as Big Ben chimed, not knowing that Robin, Starfire, Terra, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven were underneath the bridge.
"Whew. That was close.", Terra sighed.
"Phew! Jolly good thing those squaddies didn't fancy a swim.", Beast Boy sighed as he wiped his face with his handkerchief.
"Beast Boy, please, you've gotta snap out of it. Don't let Mad Mod win.", Terra spoke before she then yanked his new coiffure off, exposing the normal hair beneath, and socked him with it hard enough to set his head spinning until Beast Boy stopped his head from spinning and spoke up, only this time with his voice back to normal.
"Terra, why'd you…?", Beast Boy spoke before realizing that he is himself again and laughed.
"Sweet! I'm American!", Beast Boy grinned.
"You're welcome.", Terra grinned.
"We're going to need a plan! We have to stop Mad Mod, change Terra back, and take back the city.", Robin urged.
"I know they're tough, but we gotta tackle these tin toys head-on. Full frontal assault!", Cyborg suggested as he banged his fist into his palm.
"No. We must take his staff. If we can claim it, Terra will be changed back.", Starfire spoke.
"No. We have to find Mad Mod. He's behind all this. If we do that, we'll still find his staff and use it to change Terra back.", Robin suggested.
"True. But that's not going to be easy, so we have to sneak into his control room and take him down first.", Raven suggested.
"No way.", Beast Boy refused before it then showed Beast Boy standing in front of the American Flag as a sort of lieutenant general.
"What we need to do is go underground! Organize a resistance movement, starting with a trained gerbil army!", Beast Boy suggested only to notice Cyborg's fist near him with it then flicking him away with a finger before Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Cyborg argued, puzzling Terra while Raven, having had quite enough of the argument already, decided to shout out, her eyes and body literally blazing with anger and disgust.
"ENOUGH! Arguing solves nothing. We need to pick a plan and stick with it.", Raven responded, calming down as the flames go out.
"It may not look like it, but this is still America. So, I say we vote. Who's for full frontal assault?", Cyborg asked as he raised his hand with a box appearing next to him as well as a checkmark on it with Robin, Starfire, and Raven doing likewise.
"Find Mad Mod.", Robin responded.
"Find his staff.", Starfire added.
"Sneak attack.", Raven suggested.
"Gerbil commandos!", Beast Boy suggested before thinking for a moment.
"Actually, training gerbils takes forever. I vote for Starfire.", Beast Boy responded with Starfire's box getting another check, while the mark disappeared from Raven's as it dropped out of frame before the "election" winner giggled on the receiving end of a very dirty violet-eyed look.
"Well, it's your plan. Lead the way.", Terra grinned.
Several hours later, it was now daytime as the six Titans poked their heads out from behind a clock mounted at second-floor level on a building and then ducked away before searching everywhere they can, even in the sewers under a manhole cover before Cyborg leaned out from behind the corner of a building as did Robin.
"Any luck, Cyborg?", Robin asked.
"Try looking up.", Cyborg spoke before the other 4 titans peeped out as well and saw a lone stick seemingly in the belfry.
Upon getting a closer look, the titans noticed that that stick was the cane Mad Mod used on Terra inadvertently.
"There it is.", Terra spoke before she then summoned a rock-like podium and took off from her vantage point, flying straight up to the belfry.
"But what would his staff be doing here? Unless…", Terra spoke before moving her hand across the staff, which flickered before she noticed below it, a small emitter marked with the Union Jack, which created the false image that disappeared before a red light flashed.
"Oh, crud!", Terra exclaimed as she then held her arms in front of her as if to block the incoming explosion, which then set off, sending Terra backward as she descended before she crashed onto the street and got back up as the other 5 titans caught up.
But when the smoke cleared, Terra's body was now coated in metal skin.
"Hey. That didn't even hurt a bit.", Terra spoke in surprise before she noticed the metal skin on her body, making her gasp.
"And I think I know why.", Terra responded just before she and the others stared up at the belfry, which slid up to show a large, classic television which flickered into focus and showed Mad Mod, now wearing a powdered wig, kingly garb, and crown.
"I'm afraid not, pet. My smashing staff's here with me, sound as a pound. But it looks like you lot have wandered into a trap.", Mad Mod spoke as he raised his staff up for a moment and then set it down on the ground, still holding it before laughing as all 6 titans stared in bewilderment before the floor gave way, revealing a squad of android soldiers all holding up their blaster rifles, which were then levelled and aimed at the titans.
"I do not believe my plan is going to work.", Starfire spoke, unnerved.
"Well, let's just hope we can take a beating better than last time.", Terra responded.
"Fire!", Mad Mod commanded just before the rifles then fired blasts at the Titans.
Act III
The robot soldiers were already preparing to attack on orders.
"Fire!", Mad Mod ordered before they do so, prompting everyone to bail out with Starfire flying, Cyborg running, Beast Boy taking flight as a falcon, Robin dodging, and Raven dropping through the ground with her dark magic.
Only Terra didn't move from her spot as she blocked with her arms before the shots exploded on the ground with the robots bringing their rifles back to high port and watched the smoke cleared, which revealed that Terra was unaffected by the blasts.
"Huh. I guess those blasts don't work on me like this.", Terra guessed as she was joined by the rest of the Titans who returned.
"Who votes for a full frontal assault?", Cyborg asked.
"Like we have any other choice!", Terra responded before she and the others all charged toward the robots.
"Don't just stand there! Keep blasting!", Mad Mod urged before the robot redcoats then followed orders with Beast Boy on the move as he turned into a leopard with Robin, Terra, and Raven coming up behind him as Starfire carried Cyborg along before Cyborg then fired a short burst from his cannon with Starfire then flinging him toward one of the soldiers, his flying punch tearing a hole through the chest all the way up to the robot's back before it collapsed with another charging toward Cyborg only for Terra to block the rifle with her metal arm and kick it back with her metal leg just as Beast Boy then charged in, turning into a triceratops, and rammed the robot Terra kicked away up to the sky, exploding like a firework before Beast Boy then morphed back to human form.
"USA! USA! US…!", Beast Boy chanted while flashing V-for-Victory signs after laughing up until another robot turned up in front of him, making him trail off as a question mark and several sweat drops appeared.
Then, just as the soldier fired a blast too quick for Beast Boy to react, he managed to turn into a turtle just before getting blasted off toward Terra, who caught him, but not without being knocked down just as her skin then suddenly turned from metal to rock before landing on the ground with the two Titans noticing after Terra landed.
"Whoa. Rock-armor, too?", Terra spoke in surprise before Raven then tore a fissure across the street, racing toward the robot army, momentarily thrown off-balance only for them to regain their balance and march forward as Mad Mod watched from his screen, laughing as the besieged heroes charged across the square with beast Boy turning into a pterodactyl..
"Quite a show, eh? Quite a show! Oh, yes. Well, how's about a little preview of coming attractions?", Mad Mod spoke as he then pressed a button, causing one of the monitors to read, "COMING ATTRACTIONS", which is displayed in black in a white field before a Union Jack background appeared as well as several tanks and fighter planes, possibly those of the World War II Era, zooming overhead before then showing the 6 titans in front of a bullseye, stunned only for them to tiptoe away from the target.
"King Moddy's Royal Army is gonna run roughshod over you and your gormy little friends. Pity there's nothing you can do about it, eh?", Mad Mod smirked before all 6 titans then ran for the tree only for the tree to get blown up as Mad Mod smirked.
Meanwhile, Cyborg rushed at one of the metal shock troops and landed a punch to send it skidding down the block. It barely had time to stop before Beast Boy thundered across as a rhinoceros and rammed it toward three nearby robots, causing all four to drop to the curb.
"Keep fighting! We're gonna win!", Cyborg urged as Beast Boy went back to human form.
"I wouldn't be too sure about that.", Terra responded just before the other Titans noticed many, many reinforcements lining up with Mad Mod's tanks pitching in as well.
"Ooo-kay...so much for my plan."", Cyborg spoke.
"Titans, retreat! Again.", Robin spoke just as the tank aimed at the 6 titans and fired.
"RUN AWAY!", Beast Boy shouted again as they narrowly dodged the incoming blast, which hit the wall with all 6 Titans then going through the hole.
"Off you go! You lot couldn't beat the Brits in 1776, and you can't beat us now!", Mad Mod exclaimed before laughing madly, which echoed as all 6 titans ran for the hole in the ground, avoiding gunfire before making it to the hole as a tank then passed them by with Terra's skin now back to normal.
"The sky looks like a giant British flag! The whole city's gone haywire!", Cyborg exclaimed.
"Dude, tell me about it. Bangers and mash? Bubble and squeak? Toad in the hole? Don't British people speak English?", Beast Boy exclaimed as it then showed a guinea-pig copy of himself chased by a large mallet, a caricature of himself enjoying a bubble bath, and finally, Beast Boy leaping into a nearby hole in frog form before then popping his head out in human form with veins throbbing all around him.
"They do, but just not the English we're used to.", Terra responded.
"Well, that's two plans down…", Cyborg responded.
"…And three to go.", Raven finished.
"Okay. First, we're gonna need a cargo plane full of shaving cream, then…", Beast Boy spoke before Terra covered Beast Boy's mouth.
"Can I still vote for Raven's sneaky attack?", Terra asked.
"All right. How do we do this?", Robin asked.
"All right. Listen carefully. This is what we're gonna do. Cyborg...", Raven spoke.
Later, at an empty street corner with two robots standing guard at a gated compound, Cyborg peeked out from behind a telephone box with the rest of the Titans peeking out as well before Terra levitated a pebble and aimed it across the street toward the sidewalk, where it clattered down, drawing the sentries' attention to the small commotion before they did a smart left-face and marched off toward it, allowing the titans to go over the gates. Inside this compound, they tiptoed carefully across the grounds when suddenly, they froze and dove behind a corner just before a line of robots marched through. Once they moved off, the six heroes made a dive for an empty archway with Beast Boy taking the lead as he became a pigeon and flew to a closed door, taking a glimpse through its barred window before resuming human form and giving an all-clear wave to the other 5, who then joined him.
"Good. Now we just have to…", Raven began before she grasped the handle only for a blinding spotlight to turn on, shining on the titans as they are now caught with lightning flashing across the sky, which had orange, puffy clouds in a sunny sky before Mad Mod parted the clouds away and boomed out from the heavens, this time without the powdered wig.
"And here we are again! You know, there's an old British saying, my duckies. 'Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.' And you lot are as doomed as doomed can be!", Mad Mod shouted as an old spiraling, hypnotic pattern extended from his forehead, sucking all 6 titans in.
And when it did, the swirling vortex retreated to become one of several panels on the screen as Mad Mod's sneering face appeared in it with the 6 titans chasing Mad Mod at first, even going across the independence Hall in Philadelphia with Benjamin Franklin about to sign the Declaration of Independence when the quill suddenly shook in his hand, leaving scribbles of ink across the parchment, much to his and the others' shock before the Titans then ran off with Mad Mod's soldiers, tanks, and planes barreling after them.
Then, the American flag's red and white stripes waved across the screen before giving way to the stars and blue field, which are smashed to bits by Mad Mod, now a jackhammer-wielding, hard-hatted construction worker making his mark on Mount Rushmore only for the Titans to run him off, but not before the villain took a couple of pictures of the "Improvements" he made.
After that, the 6 titans were now shown to be in a sort of small rowboat, piloted by Robin with the rowboat decorated with a red flag with the Titans' Insignia, only for the ship to suddenly back away before a union jack colored submarine emerged from the water and gave chase with the 6 titans running until they ran squarely into the Liberty Bell, which cracked under their impact. Once their heads have stopped ringing, they continued running. After they have gone, Mad Mod, now wearing both his hard hat and sportcoat, dropped into view and plied a welding torch, sealing the break from the bottom up. But before he could even be halfway done, though, he found all six teeth-gritted glares a foot from his face before Mad Mod struck the bell swiftly, ringing it and deafening the Titans, which gave him something to laugh about before it then showed the 6 dazed titans in Mad Mod's teacup for a moment before jumping out before Mad Mod could drink it. A moment afterward, they made their way across an intersection and are chased by an invading tank. One after another, they dove into a parked car only to have a robot move in on it before Cyborg emerged from a different car and climbed into a bus. The sentry ran up, but was surprised when Beast Boy emerged from a nearby car as an ostrich, allowing Terra to send the robot flying from creating a pillar from below it as Raven started to get out on its other side, but ducked back in when another robot caught sight of her.
It then tried the door, but gave up after a moment, while Starfire cleared out from a vehicle behind it with all 6 titans fleeing from it while being chased by the robots with Robin, Terra, Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven in adjacent telephone boxes with their backs to the street and the receivers to their ears just as the robots ran past them with Beast Boy reading a newspaper before lowering it and clearing out with the titans then going forward only to run from the tanks headed for them, one of which was Mad Mod headed for them. Eventually, as the titans ran, a giant foot suddenly descended and was about to flatten the titans when Terra suddenly created a podium for herself and the others before taking off just in time, much to Mad Mod's shock, if not awe.
"Dare I say that these duckies have proven more formidable with her on their side. You may've won this round, Titans. But let's see if you can last this long on round 2.", Mad Mod smirked.
Act IV
Later, at a sort of City hall, the gates of which were closed with a sign on it reading, "Closed by order of King Mod.", the assembly hall inside was now dark and in disarray as Cyborg threw open the doors, stirring up a gust of wind that shifted the papers and dust that littered the floor.
"City Hall. We should be able to hide here... 'til Mad Mod's tanks come to tear it down.", Cyborg spoke, now filled with despair, surprising even Raven.
"Whoa. That was actually more depressing than what I was gonna say.", Raven commented.
"What were you going to say?", Terra asked.
"Not like it matters now.", Raven responded.
"Do not despair. We will save the city and stop the Mad Mod...", Starfire assured only to notice that most of the others' spirits have barely lifted as Cyborg sat heavily in a nearby chair.
"...somehow.", Starfire finished, crushed, before Beast Boy slid to the floor.
"Well, let's face it. My gerbil commando plan is just lame.", Beast Boy spoke as it then showed a few gerbils on the march with one carrying an American flag, the other striking a military drumbeat, and the third with its head bandaged, playing a fife.
"Well, at least it's adorable.", Terra grinned in assurance.
"It's not any worse than my plan.", Raven responded.
"Or mine.", Cyborg added.
"Or mine.", Starfire added.
"Now I know how George Washington felt when Napoleon beat him at Pearl Harbor.", Beast Boy spoke, sliding down further and keeling over.
"Well, he's right about one thing. This is hopeless. We tried everything we could think of. Nothing worked.", Raven responded.
"So, we're just going to give up just because of a few setbacks like this?", Terra asked, starting to get fed up with the futility.
"Terra's right. And, as much as I hate to admit it, so is Mad Mod. He said that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. That means we've been going about this all wrong.", Robin responded.
"The day may come when we'll lose our home after a grueling battle like this, but that day is not today! The day may come when everything we know may be lost from our memories and our freedom forgotten, but that day is not today! Today, we fight! We will fight for our rights as americans, we will fight against those who try to oppress us, we will stand up for our fair land. We'll resist for as long as it takes to save our fair country. Heck, we'll even work out compromises, taking in flawed ideas and creating one that would actually work out.", Terra grinned.
"We don't need five different plans...", Cyborg spoke, catching on.
"We just need one.", Raven realized.
"That's right. And we few. We happy few. We small band of Teen Titans. We shall not cease until our enemy is vanquished!", Terra vowed before Robin grinned as the rest cheered.
"Gotta hand it to you. You sure know how to lift some spirits.", Robin grinned.
"Thanks. Okay. Here's what we're going to do.", Terra spoke.
Later, at a traffic circle (or roundabout, for those of you in the United Kingdom), robotic soldiers were marching through with Mad Mod leading a parade of sorts as the hypnotized citizens saw him, two of them even waving from inside.
"That's right, me duckies! You love King Moddy! You love being Brits! Silly old America's a thing of the past!", Mad Mod spoke just before a series of explosions stretched up and down the block, cutting him off as the marching robots stopped, causing his balloon platform to bump into them and throw him off balance.
"'Ello, 'ello, 'ello. What's all this, then?", Mad Mod puzzled just before a huge bank of hypnoscreens were suddenly coated with Raven's dark magic before each and every one of them broke, bringing the crowd back to their senses before they simply started walking away from such a gaudy spectacle, much to his stunned shock.
"Well, you know what they say about the past. It has a way of coming back to haunt you.", Terra responded jokingly before then launching a rock toward a balloon with Cyborg's blast then giving it the boost necessary to puncture the balloon, dropping the platform hard to the street with Mad Mod thrown down again before he sat up and gave a panicked just as Raven levitated several distant soldiers into a mighty heave that carried them over the rooftops with her and her five partners on the scene.
"Man, I bet even real British people don't like you!", Cyborg guessed.
"A frontal assault? Haven't you sprogs tried that already?", Mad Mod asked.
"This time, we added a little sneak attack for effect.", Terra responded before Cyborg's cannon then fired, forcing Mad Mod to duck so as to not get his head blown off and stand up again, adjusting his sunglasses.
"Right! Destroy 'em!", Mad Mod shouted, his appearance then changing as his skin turned gray and his arms and legs popping out from a blue sphere emblazoned with the Union Jack.
Then, the troops advanced with the soldiers and planes mobilizing on them before the soldiers prepared to fire only for Beast Boy to turn into a falcon with Raven then using a shield for all six before the shots hit the barrier, making it collapse to reveal that the group vanished, puzzling Mad Mod before he became angry upon noticing them in midair.
"Titans, go!", Robin shouted before Raven and Starfire then tossed Cyborg upward with Cyborg then firing from his cannon at the robots before smashing his fist through one robot and hitting another with a manhole cover, slicing it.
Then, the tanks rolled up and fired at Cyborg, who stood his ground with Raven dropping a black barrier in front of him to block the shots before Raven then whipped the tanks into pieces with her dark whips before Robin then leapt aboard one of the tanks, got in it after removing someone piloting it, and then took control with Beast Boy descending and turning into a T-Rex, stepping on the robots and whacking them away with his tail only for the tanks to roll up behind him, prompting him to turn into a humming bird and fly away just as meanwhile, the planes were chasing after Terra and Starfire, who did their best to elude the fighters, even going in-between the walls, but with little to no success before Raven then launched the boulders at the tanks, smashing them just as Robin dodged the blasts as he ran, making them miss by proxy before going to another wall with the robot punching through a hole only to get blasted in the head by Cyborg, allowing Robin to go through the hole, grab the wind-up stick in the back, take it off, and then toss it like a throwing disc toward the other three robots, making them collapse as well.
Meanwhile, however, Mad Mod straightened up, shouldering a huge red-white-and-blue bazooka, which he used to target Robin, Cyborg, and Raven amid a group of his soldiers via scope just as Raven threw a shot as he primed the weapon before firing a round toward the besieged pair, trailing exhaust fumes all the way, and hit them while exploding with enough force to hide the entire block under dust and smoke with Robot bodies flying everywhere in the tumult with mad Mod grinning savagely.
"3 down, 3 to go.", Mad Mod spoke before stomping a switch set in the floor of his platform, which brought up a lever, which he then yanked, causing the entire craft to fly backwards the broken pieces just missing it.
Meanwhile, high above at Big Ben, the fighters zoomed past its spire with Starfire blasting away at the planes while surrounded as Terra noticed in midair.
"Starfire!", Terra shouted before Beast Boy, in hummingbird form, appeared.
"I got this one, Terra.", Beast Boy assured before flying down and then headed for the planes to help mislead some of the planes away from Starfire.
Meanwhile, Mad Mod was having a sort of special edition of checkers.
"Jolly good, boys! Show these Yanks who's king around here!", Mad Mod ordered while clapping his hands eagerly before Mad Mod got out his came as Starfire and Beast Boy continued against the planes.
"Fire!", Mad Mod ordered before the soldiers then fired their cannons at the top of Big ben, causing a blast that sent both Beast Boy and Starfire screaming as they fell down with Mad Mod snickering nastily as a result before the two were then brought before him with Beast Boy back to normal form, joined by Robin, Raven, and Cyborg, equally unconscious as Mad Mod then got closer on his platform.
"What a surprise, my duckies. Your little plan didn't work!", Mad Mod smirked as he jumped off and crossed over to them before he twirled his cane, reverting back to his normal physique and dark suit.
"Say, where's the blonde one? Run away, has she?", Mad Mod asked just before Starfire woke up, her eyes beaming in response.
"The blonde one is our plan! Terra! Go!", Starfire shouted before Terra yelled out as she fell to the ground before placing her hand on the ground, puzzling Mad Mod.
"Really? A dramatic pose? Now, how's that supposed to…?", Mad Mod began before suddenly, a big tower of diamonds erupted from below, sending Mad Mod screaming as he was taken up to the sky, losing his staff before Terra caught it.
"I'll take that, thank you very much.", Terra smirked.
"Oh. I see what you had in mind. Well-played, old bean. But let's not do anything hasty.", Mad Mod spoke nervously.
"Too late.", Terra spoke in a slight sing-song voice before her thumb tweaked the ruby head, encasing the two in crackling red electricity like before, but this time, Terra's spirit passed from mad Mod back to Terra.
And As Mad Mod reverts back to his old age, the old man gasping weakly in shock as he looked at his wrinkled fingers, Terra's body glowed yellow again with her hair standing up as well, but this time, Terra's body shrank back to its normal age with her current clothes now becoming baggy for her.
"Whew. Well, my new clothes are baggy, now. But at least I'm back to normal now. And so are you. Which is bad news for you.", Terra smirked before she then broke the cane in two, earning another gasp from Mad Mod.
"NOOOOOOOO!", Mad Mod shouted just before the robots' eyes wink out as the robots collapsed, releasing their hold on the five captives with the companies going down like so many dominoes, and all around him, the entire British cityscape and sky as if made of giant playing cards in the process.
Behind it all, Jump City stood intact under the night sky as a bank of hypnoscreens crashed down, revealing the pizza joint, before Robin hauled Mad Mod up by his shirt front.
"What do you have to say for yourself this time?", Robin smirked before mad Mod laughed weakly.
"Hello, guv'nor.", Mad Mod spoke nervously.
"Just like old times, huh?", Robin smirked before Starfire and the others went to Terra with the Tamaranian hugging her tightly.
"Terra! You are young again!", Starfire grinned.
"I think I was still young even when I was an adult, Starfire. Now, could you stop hugging me so tight before you give me another bruise, please?", Terra asked before Starfire let go of her, allowing her room to breathe.
"Whew! Thank you…", Terra sighed in relief as Robin looked on only for Starfire to notice something very troubling.
"Uh...Robin?", Starfire asked, pointing to something near him before Robun then looked with his eyes nearly popping out as he lifted Mad Mod's cheap suit, which showed that the elderly brit was no longer in it, before the 6 titans looked around frantically.
"Where did he-?", Robin began before all 6 peeked over, angry lightning bolts practically flaring above their heads as they spotted the fugitive, caught in the act of trying to sneak out.
And when he turned back to them with a nervous laugh, his pants fell down, exposing a pair of Union Jack briefs, making Terra's cheeks turn red in embarrassment.
"Okay...really not something I needed to see.", Raven commented.
"Yeah, let's hurry up and catch him before these baggy clothes slip off me.", terra agreed urgently before she and the others then chased after Mad Mod across the city.
A/N: And there you have it. Terra's powers would turn out to have advanced as she grows up. And as you can probably tell, these advanced powers are quite similar to Diane's from The Seven Deadly Sins. Cool, isn't it? Happy 4th of July, everyone!
