Ch. 67
Lily Potter and Chuya Chang
Dolores Umbridge had been dragged by the angry centaurs for approximately forty-five minutes because of her insults towards the creatures. Rather than acknowledging it, the evil toad of a woman opted to place the blame on her least favourite person, Harry 'the brat' Potter. After the centaurs finished dragging the ruthless toad of a woman, Bane and Ronan both picked Dolores up and carried her over to some of dead tree hollow. Ronan knocked on the trunk thrice before it split back to reveal some kind of hole. the centaurs dropped the despicable woman into the hole. Dolores fell into it and found herself sliding on some kind of slide. After sliding on her rump for ten minutes, Dolores slid off and landed on her behind, very painfully (as the scrunch on her face strongly implied it). She was somehow knocked out-cold, tied up to a chair and taken into some kind of room.
Upon coming to, Dolores darted her eyes around to see a number of people in the same predicament. They included Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Cornelius Fudge, Minerva McGonagall, Poppy Pomfrey, Draco and Lucius Malfoy, Hermione Granger, Marietta Edgecombe, along with Molly, Ron, and Ginny Weasley. Harry and Cho weren't the only ones there who were angry, but so were two women. One had shoulder-length bright-auburn hair and emerald-green eyes (obviously Harry's mother, Lily), and the other woman was an asian woman with black hair and dark-brown eyes (who everyone recognized as Cho's mother, Chuya, who worked for the ministry in the Department of International Magical Cooperation). Harry and Cho entered a couple minutes later while holding hands, much to the shock of everybody who was captured and tied up (with Ginny quickly growling and trying to free herself because she wanted to strangle Cho for 'stealing her Harry,' ignoring the fact that Harry was never interested in the Weasley girl to begin with).
"Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Chang, what's the meaning of this?" asked Professor Dumbledore in his grandfatherly voice.
"You should know the answer to that question, you ole coot!" Chuya growled.
"Now now, Chuya, there's no need for this bad attitude." Dumbledore tried assuring in his grandfatherly voice.
"Oh, there's tons of reasons why you all are facing our wrath!" Lily hollered to all of Harry's wrongdoers. "I never died that night despite initial claims, I was hit with an advanced stunning spell that emitted green light. I was out-cold for like an hour and when I regained consciousness, I saw that Harry was gone. After I realized that everyone believed me to be dead along with James, I left the country for Ireland to undergo intensive training and wait for the right time to strike and this moment is one of them."
"As most of you don't know yet," Chuya revealed in an elated voice. "Lily and I were besties during our years as students in this castle. When she came back, I've been allowing her to stay at my house as soon as she explained her story. Then Harry and Cho told us everything in regards as to what had been happening."
"You'll be the first to get an arse-ripping because that grandfather-like voice of yours and your tendency to manipulate people for your own benefit!" Lily growled at Dumbledore (who was starting to sweat profusely. "You kidnapped my son and made him live with my sister and her husband, even though James and I didn't want Harry to go to those horrible people under any circumstance. Despite the inevitable, you still made my son return to those awful people and manipulate him. I even have a sneaky suspicion that you blackmailed Hagrid into helping kidnap Harry and deny Sirius the legal right to be Harry's guardian and godfather."
"And you!" Chuya growled in Madam Pomfrey's terror-stricken face. "You're the school nurse and every year Harry seems to pay a visit to the hospital wing at least once every year. There's no way that you couldn't tell that Harry was being abused by the Dursleys. If you think that listening to Dumbledore and ignoring the signs, then you've made a tremendous mistake. School officials are trained to look for signs of child abuse and you did nothing to rectify the situation."
"You even had the nerve to abuse my son and godson, Severus!" Lily hollered in his face, making sure her emerald-green eyes glared into his black ones (much to his utter fright). "You've treated Harry and Neville like shit and they did nothing to earn such treatment to begin with. You always saw Harry as an exact clone of James and never paid attention to his personality. You even punish Harry and Neville unjustly and allow the bullies to get away with their actions, especially from Draco and his pals. Not only that, but you allow the same people to sabotage other students' potions and even ruin careers for people who wish to be a healer or a potioneer, all done out of spite."
"You've also been a terrible deputy headmistress, Minerva!" Chuya scolded Professor McGonagall. "You never listened to Harry when he expressed his suspicions that tere was going to be trouble, but you casually dismissed those and send him back to Gryffindor Tower instead of doing some investigating. It's safe to say you've been helping the ole coot in sweeping all of that under the rug. You also seem to favour Slytherins more than your house, since Harry told me how you've given him disproportionate retribution and allow the real culprits, mainly Draco and his pals, off with a slap on the wrist. A real teacher and school official dishes out punishments properly and in correspondence to the severity of the misdeeds."
"You even helped to set my son up to befriend your two youngest children," Lily growled at Molly (who was either terrified but didn't show it or was indifferent). "By blurting the name of our school, the name of the platform the school train was on, and any other words unusual to non-magic people, to where they could hear it. You didn't care about breaking the statute of magical secrecy. You even pretended not to know that Harry was close by just to help Dumbledore in manipulating Harry. You even treat him like a child as much as Dumbledore despite Harry having to grow up faster than the average child."
"You also should be ashamed of your son's bullying nature, Lucius!" Chuya snapped at the Malfoy patriarch with a glare. "Harry and Cho have told me a number of times about your son being a bully and trying to get a rise out of Harry every chance he got. Your son is also a coward since he always threatens to bring you to the school to deal with problems he started. You've been a terrible example to him. You also abused a house elf for who-knows-how-long, so you don't deserve one, with Lily and I proud of Harry for tricking you into freeing that particular house elf."
"How can you just help slander my son in the Daily Prophet, Cornelius?" Lily chastised the terrified soon-to-be former minister. "He was a brave and noble person, always looking out for everyone in our world and you have no qualms about painting him in a negative light, you ungrateful bastard! Not only that, but you accepted bribes from Lucius to make sure certain laws never get passed, and most of those were ones I suggested. Favouritism doesn't get anyone anywhere, every job and career should only be given to people who rightfully deserve it."
"You even made sure Harry's time at Hogwarts this year was hell for him!" Lily and Chuya reprimanded Umbridge in unison. "You made him use a blood quill to write sentences in those so-called detentions; you've imposed those lame educational decrees; you banned Harry from quidditch for life even when Vincent Crabbe whacked him on the back of the head with the beaters club while making him write lines, and yet you had no power to ban Harry from quidditch for life because the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports has that power; you even threatened to punish Cho by having that stupid Inquisitorial Squad deal with her in any way if she didn't give you any information; and you even tried to use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry if he didn't spill any information to you."
"You even set me and Harry up to ruin our friendship and even a potential relationship, Marietta!" Cho chastised her supposed best friend, showing her evidence on parchment. "By slipping loyalty potions keyed to you and even slipping Amortentia keyed to Ginevra into Harry's drinks. Luna gave me this when she found it stuffed within the couch cushions in Ravenclaw Tower. Luna and I are now besties because she's a much better person than you'll ever be."
"I can't believe you two have been spying on me for Dumbledore!" Harry scolded his former best friends, much to Ron and Hermione's shock. "Double-crossing the whole time just to help the ole coot in running my life in how he see's fit. Neville's my best mate now, since he's been a much better friend to me. You two and Ginny have even been helping scare other students away from me, just to selfishly have me around and rub it in others' faces."
"You even had the nerve to trust an object capable of thinking for itself, Ginevra!" Cho revealed to the shocked Weasley girl, showing her evidence on parchment. "Lucius may have planted that diary in your cauldron, as Harry revealed to me, my mum, and Lily, but you chose to keep writing in that diary throughout the course of your first year at this school. As a pure-blood, you should've known better than that, especially with your father working for the ministry in the Misue of Muggle Artefacts Office and your brother, bill, working as a Gringotts curse breaker. That means you were guilty of aiding and abetting, reckless endangerment, and even attempted second-degree murder because of the four students and Filch's cat getting petrified. You never cared about the basilisk's deadly gaze. Justin Finch-Fletchley was the closest victim to have gotten killed and he would have if Sir Nicholas didn't shield him from it. If that happened, you would've certainly become a murderer, even though being an attempted murderer is just as bad."
"You also committed tampering with evidence twice, Ginevra!" Harry informed her in a serious tone of voice. "Because you tried to dispose of that diary in a girl's lavatory where it could've ended up in the hands of another innocent student. During the time I had a hold of the diary, the attacks stopped. Then you spotted that diary falling out of my school bag and waited until I wasn't around to steal it back and write in it once more. That also resulted in Hermione and even your brother, Percy's, ex-girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater, turning up petrified. By doing that, you tampered with evidence a second time, and that even makes you guilty of two counts of attempted first-degree murder. All for the sake of getting your hero to notice you, and ironically you endangered my life, too. When you were confronted by your parents, or your father at least, you shed crocodile tears while whining that you didn't know and that you were more concerned about being expelled than everyone's safety. You even set me up to rescue you from the chamber just so you could seal your so-called happily ever after and I really don't appreciate that."
"Don't even bother Ginevra! Even being a pre-teen at the time won't excuse that." Cho told Ginny as she opened her mouth to say something.
"You are utterly pathetic, Malfoy!" Harry and Cho chastised the frightened Malfoy scion. "You always run to your father to get him to deal with problems that were your fault. You always have your goons around you to make sure you could get away with anything, even with physical fights.
"Now's the time to give you all your just rewards!" Harry, Cho, Lily and Chuya informed the wrongdoers with delight.
The teens remained tied up, but were also gagged by a cloth tied over their mouths. Dumbledore was given something that resembled lemon drops (but were green, which Harry told him they were called lime drops), with the headmaster picking one up and sucking on it. That resulted in him squeezing his eyes shut tightly as his hands started flapping in a frenzy because of how sour it was. Snape was given a bath because his hygiene was below the estimation, Lucius' fine robes turned into a pink sily chemise as he was given pink eyeshadow (making him scream in terror), Molly had a life-sized howler screaming in her face, Cornelius had the words 'bumbling idiot' branded across his forehead, Minerva was turned into her animagus form unwillingly and forced to chase a ball that would always escape her grasp, Poppy was wrapped up in gauze to resemble a mummy, while Dolores was turned into a toad and had to escape from a snake trying to eat her. Soon Amelia and the aurors arrived and, once they were handed all of the evidence of the crimes Harry's wrongdoers committed, placed the culprits in magic-suppression handcuffs. Draco, hermione, Ginny and Marietta tried to throw tantrums to get out of their predicament, but naturally it fell on deaf ears.
"What will become of the Dursleys, mum?" asked Harry, as soon as the aurors took his wrongdoers into ministry custody.
"That's already been taken care of, sweetheart!" Lily assured her son with a smile. "It turns out that they've incurred a debt of twenty-five million galleons that the ole coot gave them to 'take care of you,' but they spent it on themselves instead."
"Let's go out into London as a way of temporarily forgetting about this world for a while," suggested Chuya. "After all, I'd like to see for myself how Harry and Cho interact."
"How about it, Harry?" asked Cho with a smile.
"Sure, I'd love that." Harry replied, returning the smile.
So Harry, Cho, Lily and Chuya left the castle and outside the wards to apparate to an abandoned alley somewhere in London. With all of his wrongdoers dealt with for real, Harry was free to start a new life where he wasn't being used as a pawn in some way. With the toad gone, there was no more educational decrees, no more lifelong quidditch ban for Harry, no more blood quill detentions, and no more depressing environment. For once, things were looking up.
The End!
Author's note 1: I'd like to give a shoutout to the user 'The Underrated HP Fan' for suggesting that Lily and Chuya go mama eagle on everyone who wronged their respective children.
Author's note 2: Another one-shot finished! Which girl should Harry be paired with in the next chapter? Please let me know in a review or a PM. As always, ideas are greatly appreciated, happy reading!
