Chapter 52 The Return
Its been about nine months Since Kuvira and her entire Earth Empire were completely destroyed by Sean after he regained his connection to the Gods and reclaimed his warrior spirit after his talk with God making him even more powerful than ever.
And since Raiko and Wu were roasted in front of everyone before the former was killed and was being tortured because of the mark on his forehead and since Wu was sentenced to the same thing Sean's Uncle Deimos went through in Death's domain for 10,000 years.
Since then everything was finally peaceful again with some changes.
First of all Freya was placed in charge of Republic City since she had experience in leadership when she was in charge of her people before her marriage to Odin and the Corruption of the Devil.
Since then the people of Republic City finally had a leader who was not interested in herself but the people she was now tasked with leading. Her leadership actually won the people's trust since she made things good on the people of Republic City. And unlike Raiko When she got a statue for her actions she earned her's fairly since she was less interested in her image and more on her job.
And for the group of course some changes had occurred.
First of all Asami and Mako were now married with Korra as Asami's Maid of honor. Bolin of course burst into tears much to everyone's amusement since many knew this was gonna happen. (Obviously)
And then there was Julia who gave birth to a son last month since she was a month further along than Korra was in her pregnancy. She and Reznov got married a month after Kuvira was defeated. She and Reznov named their son after Reznov's uncle Tyr. He had his mother's hair and skin but had his father's purple eyes.
And of course Turok and Jinora got closer since Kuvira was defeated making Tenzin keep a closer eye on them.
This of course amused the others seeing him as an overprotective father.
Also people from Athens were placed in charge of the Earth kingdom and made sure that there would no longer be any corruption and even permanently destroyed the Dai Li for good this time around.
And more importantly Zaheer passed away due to complications from Korra's actions. Though it didn't bother her since now her family was finally safe from that madman.
At this moment though however something special was happening.
Everyone was at the hospital since Korra had gone into labor with her fourth child.
"Why are we at the hospital?" Calliope asked making Senna smile as she held her.
"We're here because you are getting a new baby brother or sister today." Senna said.
"I thought Flying Lemurs delivered babies." Katara said making everyone snicker.
"Now where'd you get that dumb idea?" Turok asked.
"Him." The girls said pointing at Meelo who laughed sheepishly.
"Ugh. I'm related to the biggest idiot in the world." Jinora said.
"No thats Raiko and Wu. He's third place." Turok said.
"Hey!" Meelo yelled as Sean came out with a grin.
"Well?" Senna asked.
"She's all right just tired unlike last time. Now you three get in here. Theres someone your mother wants you to see." Sean said making the girls rush in.
When they arrived in a room they found their mother in a bed dressed in a hospital gown with her hair back to its original length. In her arms was something wrapped in a pink blanket.
"Mommy?" Katara asked getting in bed with her making her smile as she kissed her forehead.
"I'm ok. Just tired." Korra said.
"Who's that?" Calliope asked making the parents smile.
"Meet your Baby sister...Lysandra." Korra said taking the top of the blanket off her face.
She had her mother's skin texture and hair before she opened her eyes showing she had her mother's eyes and smiled at her mother making her smile as she kissed her forehead.
"Hi." Annabeth said waving making her laugh as she looked at her sisters.
"She's tiny." Katara said.
"So were you three the day you were born." Sean said sitting next to his wife and fourth daughter who smiled at her father.
"Why'd you name her Lysandra?" Annabeth asked making them smile.
"It was the name of your grandfather's first wife back in the day. In fact all of you have names that are important to me and your mother. You Annabeth were given the name your grandmother would have given me if she had a girl." Sean said making her smile. "And Calliope was named after my older sister 10,000 years ago." Sean said.
"And Katara was named after my former water bending mentor who was the previous Avatar's wife. You all were named after important people we knew or names that we knew." Korra said as she held her new daughter close who yawned making her and her husband smile.
"I was hoping for a brother." Calliope said making them laugh.
"Maybe next time." Korra said.
A month later
Korra smiled as she fed Lysandra her bottle as they listened to Freya about current events in the Earth Kingdom.
"So far everything has been completely peaceful. The Earth Kingdom has completely stabilized." Freya said.
"Finally. Now that the wretched bloodline is gone all we have to do is find a new ruler to take place and make sure he or she doesn't take the same path as the previous queens. But something is clearly bothering you." Sean said seeing the look on her face.
"Well...There is one thing you should know. Recently one of the states hasn't reported in for food and supplies which is concerning cause they always do. I want you to head there with Tenzin and Baldur and find out what is going on." Freya said.
"Yeah sure no problem." Sean said.
Tenzin was getting Oogi set up for the trip.
"Be careful ok?" Korra asked her husband making him smirk.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine." Sean said kissing her before kissing Lysandra who yawned making them smile.
"Come on kid let's go." Baldur said as Sean rushed to them before jumping on Oogi and flew off making Korra smile as she took her daughter back inside the temple before placing her youngest in her crib and kissed her making her yawn lightly before turning to her side making her smile.
Walking back outside however she noticed Annabeth and Calliope training in waterbending together.
"Hold up...Wheres your sister?" Korra asked.
"You just put her down." Annabeth said making her frown.
"The sister you two were born with smart mouth. Where's Katara?" Korra asked making them grin at each other making her suspicious before her eyes widened in shock. "OH NO! She's too much like I was!" Korra yelled in horror making her daughters laugh.
Meanwhile
"Once we find out what happened we can just head back." Sean said before Baldur noticed the supplies were moving.
"Uh yeah. We might need to head back before that." Baldur said.
"Why do you say that?" Sean asked as he opened the supplies before Katara came out making his eyes widen.
"Hi daddy." Katara said waving making Sean growl.
"AGH! SHE'S TOO MUCH LIKE HER MOTHER WAS!" Sean yelled making Baldur and Tenzin chuckle.
"Can I stay Daddy PLEASE?" Katara asked.
"Ugh!" Sean said before smiling. "All right. But I want you to stay out of the way incase something happens." Sean said making her nod.
Soon enough they were getting close to the state Julia, Kai and Opal had arrived in the day Korra and the girls came back to Republic city.
Only to find it on fire and destroyed.
"What happened here Bandits?" Baldur asked seeing it up in flames with everyone dead on the ground.
"Bandits couldn't have done this." Sean said before they landed. "Tenzin stay with Katara. Baldur and I are gonna check things out." Sean said as they got off.
Walking through the town they saw everyone was dead before finding the Governor who's whole body was twisted.
"This is odd." Sean said.
"What is it?" Baldur asked.
"Everyone here looks like they were killed in unique ways which makes me believe that more than one person did this." Sean said.
"You got that right!"
Both looked up seeing some man covered up in a cloak.
"Do I know you? You seem familiar." Sean said.
"You should. You killed me."
"Your gonna have to be more specific since I've killed a lot of people over the years." Sean said.
"Heres a hint!"
Suddenly the ground turned to Lava.
"WHOA!" Baldur yelled as they jumped back before it was launched at them before Sean redirected it back at him making him jump away.
"Who the the fuck are you?" Sean asked making him take his cloak off.
"What the?" Baldur said.
"Ghazan?" Sean asked seeing the Lava bender of the Red Lotus.
"So you remember me. Good. You flattened me four years ago." Ghazan said.
"I distinctly recall you were easy to defeat. I don't know how you came back from the dead but I'll kill you again." Sean said.
"Does that include me?"
Sean turned before nearly getting hit by water making him growl as he dodged several strikes of water before seeing who it was.
"Ming-Hua?" Baldur asked surprised since she blew up 4 years ago.
Thats when an explosion nearly hit Sean making him growl seeing P'li before a gust of Air hit him into a wall making him look seeing Zaheer.
"What the fuck is going on?" Sean asked seeing his old enemies alive again.
"Is it not obvious?"
Sean turned seeing Unalaq and his children Desna and Eska alive as well.
"We've been offered a chance of revenge." Unalaq said grinning.
"And this time you'll be the dead one."
Sean turned seeing Amon and Tarrlok also alive.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me." Sean said before metal nearly hit him making him look seeing Kuvira also alive.
"You must be joking." Baldur said before the skies lit up.
"Finish him off." Zeus said.
"Oh shit no. He's been fully corrupted hasn't he?" Sean asked.
"I'm afraid so. Sorry kid." Baldur said.
"Well...We knew one day this was gonna happen. But this I was not expecting." Sean said.
"Crush him." Amon said.
Dojo came out of Sean's armor and screamed rather girlish before getting under them and grew before carrying them away.
"A RETREAT MIGHT BE IN ORDER HERE!" Dojo yelled flying off before Tenzin on Oogi also flew off with Katara...And she had someone captured...Perseus.
"Oh my good lord. Why bring him back?" Sean asked before jumping down to Oogi and held Katara close as she had his uncle contained easily. "Even my four year old daughter is stronger than the likes of you. Thats just sad old man." Sean said making him growl though muffled since his mouth was covered in ice.
Later
"You girls are in so much trouble." Korra said holding Lysandra who slept while her oldest giggled.
"We're sorry mommy." They said giving her the puppy eye look.
"Thats not gonna work. This is not ok. You two are..." Korra tried to say before Dojo and Oogi flew back before landing as Katara jumped down before running to her mother who sighed in relief. "Honey that was not ok. I was...Worried?" Korra said before seeing Perseus slugged over Sean's shoulder. "What the?" Korra said confused.
"We have a huge problem. My grandfather has been fully corrupted." Sean said shocking her and the others.
"Sean I'm so sorry." Korra said knowing this was gonna be difficult.
"I know...And we got even bigger problems. He's revived our old mortal enemies. Tarrlok, Amon, Unalaq, Eska and Desna, P'li, Ming-Hua, Ghazan, Zaheer and Kuvira and Zaheer has his airbending again." Sean said shocking them all.
"Wait all of them are alive again?" Mako asked.
"Yup. And of course so is this loser." Sean said kicking Perseus who grunted in pain.
"Bet that fight lasted two seconds." Korra said.
"Actually Katara took him out." Sean said making her blink before looking at the youngest of the triplets.
"Oh sweetie. I'm so proud." Korra said kissing her making her laugh.
"WHAT! Your gonna let her off without punishment?" Annabeth asked.
"Don't push it." Korra said making her and Calliope pout.
"But back to the matter at hand here. My Grandfather has revived all our old mortal enemies. Dealing with just one of them was difficult enough. Dealing with them all at once is gonna be a bigger pain to deal with." Sean said.
"But why bring back him?" Asami asked pointing at Perseus who tried to get free but was failing miserably. "He's completely useless." Asami said.
"Desperate I suppose. Doesn't matter since we might be able to get him to talk." Sean said.
Later
Korra was outside looking at the sunset before feeling a pair of hands on her shoulder making her turn seeing her husband.
"You ok?" Sean asked making her sigh.
"No...After all that pain and misery they caused they just came right back like nothing happened. Is this ever gonna end?" Korra asked.
"Not so long as the Devil lives. His corruption of the gods has caused all of this. Until he's dead nothing peaceful will ever last. The Cruelty of mankind comes from him. Once he's dead...Everything will change." Sean said as he held her close making her sigh.
"You know...Growing up I couldn't wait to be the Avatar and knowing you were a lot like me made me feel better knowing I wasn't alone." Korra said making him smile.
"I know. And I promise one day everything will be like it was long before the corruption. And we can live our lives in peace. True there will be times we'll be needed but not as much. Giving us plenty of time for the kids." Sean said making her smile as she kissed him.
"I love you." Korra said.
"I love you too. And I always will." Sean said before they felt something grab their legs making them look seeing the girls looking at them with Annabeth holding Lysandra making them smile as they picked them up.
"Is something bad gonna happen?" Calliope asked.
"Mmm. Don't worry sweetie. Everything is gonna be just fine." Sean said making her giggle.
No matter what Sean and Korra would win this fight for their daughters future.
