After they had defeated the aliens Sara proposed to Ava during a little legends celebration in the galley. She had just blurted it out, not planning on doing that night, not really planning on doing it ever. After being away from her team for months and being away from Ava she knew what she wanted and that was to make it official and tie the knot.
They had become busy again and Ava and Sara kept pushing off the wedding which wasn't gonna be a big thing until Zari volunteered herself to be the wedding planner. Today was the day they were supposed to do it no distractions or anything
Zari had planned a nice beach wedding with the legends, sara father, and a few of team arrow. Sara and Ava both didn't want a big thing, hell they both would have eloped the same day Sara popped the question. Now the wheels were set in motion and they both had to go through with a big wedding
Since today was the big day the legends had been pestering Ava and Sara with questions about, final touches, times, hair, makeup, outfits and all the other things that they didn't want to worry about. Sara was having enough of it.
"This is getting out of hand" Sara said as she walked into their bedroom. "Zari is making this wedding way more then I wanted it to be, I wanted you, me and maybe the legends but now I'm thinking we take them off the guest list too"
Ava laughed "come on, Zari's face practically dropped when I said we didn't want anything big. I couldn't stop her she was just so happy"
Sara looked at her with big eyes and smirked, she did love this woman and her big heart.
"Ok ok but I still really want to just elope and not show" Sara said
Ava began to answer with a smirk "we still..."
Then Gideon interrupted " sorry to interrupt but the palmers have just arrived"
Ava never finished her sentence instead smiled and walked out because she missed Nora and needed her friend there on the craziest day of her life
Sara followed her still wanting to take Ava and run away
They arrived on the bridge where Ray and Nora were already chatting with the legends
They both turned around and gave the women bigs hugs both understanding the obvious nerves that surrounded the pair
As they caught up about the crazy adventures of the legends and the new calm life that the Palmers were leading a time quake rocked the ship
"Gideon?!?" They all shouted
Gideon did not reply so once the quake stopped the wave rider was falling apart behind them wires and sparks everywhere and behrad and Nate were scrambling trying to fix everything
"What happened?" Sara asked the men
" I don't know cap, the time quake hit and Gideon shut down" Behrad responded still putting wires together
Behrad seemed to fix the main source to Gideon and she reappeared
"Gideon what just happened" Nate asked the AI
"It seems a time quake occurred" Gideon replied
" yeah no duh but why" Nate said is a mocking tone
"Well it seems four of our former teammates have gone missing and have changed the time line tremendously" Gideon answered
"Who?" Sara asked and 4 pictures of former legends appeared on the screens in front of them
A Jefferson Jackson missing poster appeared
A Kendra Saunders missing poster appeared
An Amaya Jiwe missing poster appeared
And A Charlie poster appeared
"All of their missing persons report state the same thing 'a flash of white light appeared and the they vanished out of thin air'" Gideon told the team
"Ok then why the time quake" Ava questioned
" it seems they have all been displaced throughout time" Gideon answered
A silence fell over the team, not uncomfortable or easy, just a loud silence that showed a team thinking about what was next.
After a few minutes Sara spoke " ok so how do we find them and fix whatever has happened"
"It seems the epicenter is in 2018 at some silent disco in New York City" Gideon said
"Charlie!" They all said in unison.
"Alright B and Nate you two go get Charlie and figure out what she did and bring her back the rest of us will work on finding the other three" Sara ordered
Behrad and Nate left to get on their best 2018 wear and go find their most recent former teammate.
"Wait wait wait" Zari said "what about the wedding?"
Sara looked at Ava and then at Zari "As of right now the wedding is postponed until we figure this out" Ava nodded agreeing with her fiancée
Zari frowned disappointed but could understand.
"Ok so Ray and I will look for Kendra. Ava, Nora and zari look for Jax then once Nate and B come back they can look for Amaya she's the least likely to make a mess." Sara captained and they all went their separate ways
Families were called saying that the wedding was pushed yet again and they could final focus on the problem at hand.
"How hard can it be to find a displace hawk goddess?" Sara questioned getting frustrated at constant dead ends
" I mean we did manage to stay undetected in the fifties she could just be adapting" Ray responded
Sara looked at him and smiled, she missed his optimism no matter how annoying it was
Just then ava and Nora came running in zari slowly following them
" we found Jax, a man telling stories of being on fire is being depicted in many history books throughout the medevil era." Ava said
" perfect we have a year?" Sara asked
"I think so...1422 AD" Ava replied
"Great Ray? Nora? You got this?" Sara looked toward the two
" yeah sar we can handle it" they responded
" thank you, be careful and don't mess too much up" she said dismissing them
Ava looked at her future wife with her disheveled hair and crinkle in her forehead. "Hey we are gonna find them I promise" she said
" I know I know just today was supposed to be stressful because weddings are stressful not because someone is targeting former legends and scattering them in history" she said clearing getting frustrated "sorry I just wanted today to be special and easy not...this"
" babe, it's ok nothing we can do about it and I am willing to marry you any day any where" Ava responded with a soft easy tone
Sara looked up and Ava leaned in giving her a peck on the lips
"Woah jeez guess not much has change you two blokes are still showing PDA all over" a very British voiced called from behind them
" hey Charlie" the woman responded walking over to her to give her a hug
Charlie looked just the same still sporting Amaya's face and her usual charm
Charlie went into explaining what happened "I had just started our second encore when all of a sudden I was flashed into a busy street in New York, I saw a bunch of people in neon which isn't usually my thing but they looked like party animals so I followed and say them dancing with headphones on when B and Nate showed up"
" we managed to get to Charlie before anything in the timeline changed" the boys chimed in
Just then a signal popped up in the screen in the office showing that Kendra had been located in Salem 1673
"Thank god" Sara cheered "alright guys I am gonna go get Kendra stay here monitor this stuff and try and find Amaya"
Sara was walking through the woods in Salem. Of course she was back here nothing could ever be ok
Then she say a tad bit older version of the Kendra she once knew in a cage outside the church
She ran toward it awakening the woman who gave her a strange look then said "Sara? Is that Sara Lance"
"Hey Kendra I am gonna get you out of here then explain everything" Sara said softly
Sara cracked the lock and Kendra pause just when two guards spotted the woman
"Run! Let's go" Sara yelled and they both ran through a portal Sara had opened Into the wave rider
Kendra had tripped while Sara went through a little more gracefully
Going over to Kendra Sara extended a hand helping her up Kendra accepted
" jesus Sara I thought I'd never see you again what the hell happened"
"I honestly don't know we got a pin saying you went missing and you popped up on our radar in Salem" Sara answered truthfully
"Well thank you. Even after all these years you still have to save my butt" Kendra joked
"Hey it's my job and I don't remember saving you that much" Sara responded laughing weirdly glad to see her old friend who had started this insane journey with her
"Hey" avas voice came from behind them
" oh hey where is everyone?" Sara asked
" Nate and Behrad found Amaya and went to go get her while John and zari took Charlie home she was getting antsy" Ava responded "and everyone else is in the galley"
"Ok they get jax?" Sara asked
"Yep he is here asked where you were" Ava responded smiling
Sara turned to go find the rest of her team when she remembered Kendra didn't know who Ava was
"I'm sorry I'm rude Kendra this is Ava Sharpe, Ava this is Kendra Saunders" Sara introduced
"Nice to meet you" both woman said and followed Sara to the galley
"Captain!" Jax shouted as he ran toward Sara and gave her a big hug
"Jax! I've missed you man" Sara said squeezing a little tighter
"I've missed you too seems like you have been busy though" Jax said pulling away
" well yeah you know us can never stay out of trouble" Sara joked
"Well yeah not with that one around" Jax said pointing to mick who was sipping a beer in the corner
They all laughed and Jax said a hello to Kendra
Kendra also said an awkward hello to ray which did not go unnoticed
Nate and Behrad soon returned with Amaya who was quick to say hello to her former teammates and introductions were made between Kendra and all the newer legends. As well as Zari to the former legends
While they sat in the galley together there was still a lingering question of how and what caused the displacements Gideon was calculating the source of the distribution so the legends current and former caught up while they waited
"Today turned out to not be so bad after all" said Nate who was sat between Amaya and Ray
"Yeah just to think about it it was supposed to be the best day of my life now it's ok" Sara joked
Which made the guests pause and give her a strange look
"Why the best day your life? Wasn't it just a normal day" Jax asked
"Ha no Captain and Mrs Captain were supposed to get hitched today" said mick who had zero filter at all
Jax spit out his drink, Amaya smirked having always known they'd end up together and Kendra just looked confused
"Mick! We weren't really saying anything" Sara said
" why cause you didn't invite us?" Amaya challenged
" no no it wasn't that we just didn't want it to seem like you guys ruined it which you didn't I was super thrilled anyway" Sara said which after a second she realized it may have sounded worng
She turned towards Ava who was giving her a weird look like what did you just say
"Babe you know that's not what I meant I just meant that I wasn't thrilled about the wedding part the marriage and forever part I am happy I can't wait for I just didn't want a big thing" Sara defended
" I know what you meant cuz I feel the same" Ava said smiling
"Well then maybe it's a good thing it didn't happen today you can just do it on your time" Nate said cheerfully trying to find a bright side
Both woman nodded
Then Gideon popped up with a message saying that source of the time scatter was the vanishing point.
The team groaned wanting to have never had to go back there
"Alright then Gideon plot a course" Sara said
The team stalked through the damaged vanishing point. Mick had his head held down not wanted to relive memories of losing his partner. Sara just walked as quickly as she could to get out there as soon as she could not wanting to think about the months she spent there during crisis. The rest followed behind
A sound came from the office where the reverse flash had set up they creeped in the room examining every corner when they say a familiar figure wearing a trench coat
"Rip?!?!?" They all shouted except for zari having never seen this man before
"What wait you you were dead you died" Sara said in complete shock
" you of all people ms. Lance should know that that can sometimes not stick" rip responded
The whole team was shocked Nate, Amaya, and behrad were just kind of staring at him, the rest of the team was in shock and Kendra watched not really knowing rip was dead in the first place.
Ava turned slowing and stormed out of the room and Sara's eyes followed her.
"I'm gonna go check on her you keep an eye on him" she said to Nate
"Yes Captain" Nate said
Sara walked out and found Ava hyperventilating leaning up against the wall. Sara rushed to her side rubbing her back and grabbed her hand
"Hey I'm here I'm here just breathe slowly" Sara reassured
" I thought I was done with him, over, I didn't want to think about him" Ava said panicky
" I know me too me too" Sara said
Ava calmed slightly still holding onto Sara
"You ok" Sara asked
" i don't know I don't know I just ugh Sara I hate him I hate him for what he did, for lying to me, using me, I just why today why did he do this today? Just to ruin everything?" Ava countinued " god Sara I just wanted to marry you today I wanted it done with because all I want to to do is be with you forever"
" I know babe I feel the same, but hey you will be with me forever no matter if we are married or not you can't get rid of me that easily" Sara laughed
Ava nodded and looked at her
" what do you say we hear him out and then go home and just not think about him again" Sara said reaching out her hand toward Ava
Ava nodded taking Sara's hand and following her in
"Ok rip how are you alive and why did you displace former legends" Sara questioned
Rip went on a long spew about how that vanishing point keeps him alive and he wanted to celebrate the legends by reuniting them and this was the only way he knew how
They left him there Ava still wanting closure but knew that she could go back to confront him anytime
They legends finally could celebrate at peace and were all enjoying themselves
Ava and Sara were dancing and being all in love when Sara leaned towards Ava ear
"Let's do it right now?" She husked
"What now? I am lost" Ava said confused
"Married, let's get married right now right here I can't spend another day thinking about marrying you I wanna marry you" Sara said sweetly
"Really?!?" Ava said
"Yes Gideon could marry us and the legends and stand in the bridge" Sara suggested
Ava nodded and Sara called all legend front and center
The two stood facing eachother on the step of the office, coincidentally where they had their first kiss
All the legends shut up and watched in shock and amazement as the intimate ceremony began
They had gotten to the vows when Ava said "I didn't prepare anything Zari said we didnt..." Sara interrupted her and said "I got it"
Sara began "Ava, if you would have told me three years ago that I would standing here marrying that annoying time bureau agent I would have said no way. Because back then there was no way, you got under my skin and constantly made me angry. But now I know that is because you have always seen right through me every act, every reason you knew who I was and why. Before you I thought nobody would accept all of my flaws, mistakes and most importantly my team. But you never saw any of that you never saw me through that lense that I looked t myself through you have loved me and allowed me to love you and there is nothing more I can't thank you for than that. I love you so much and can't wait for the life we build"
Ava looked at her with all the love in the world, patted a tears and allowed for the ceremony to continue.
They said I dos and Gideon declared them wife's and said they could kiss.
Before they leaned din Sara smirked and held out her pinky
Ava shook her head remembering the stupid promise Sara made with her pinky and see. How it became their thing.
She accepted it and interlocked their pinkies before Sara lightly tugged Ava toward her capturing her lips in a kiss
They continued like that until Nate started cheering and they all continued to party
Ava and Sara spent the rest of the night in a love bubble happy to finally be married no matter the day
