So, if the Kryptonians are a highly intelligent race does that mean even the babies are naturally more intelligent than a normal human baby and will pick things up quicker. I have no idea. You should have a pretty good idea of what is to come in this chapter. Stay safe.

Titusville Florida, Parrish Medical Center, Three Months Later 10:47PM

Alicia slumped back against the bed exhausted and tired beyond belief wanting to do nothing more than sleep for as long as she could, but the thought of seeing her little boy kept her going for the moment. Clark let go of her right hand to take the tiny bundle from the doctor and slowly brought it down to her waiting arms. Alicia grabbed the bundle of wrapping and and looked down to see the most beautiful blue eyes she had seen. To Alicia all the previous months came down to this moment where she got to hold her baby boy and hug him to her chest as she tries to settle his crying.

Martha was on Alicia's other side with a sleeping Grace in her arms. Clark came over to her to grab Grace so that he could wake her up and introduce her to her new baby brother. Clark lightly shook her as he said, "Come on sweetie, can you wake for me?" Grace started to stir and looked towards Clark as she said, "Dada sleep." Clark brought her over to Alicia saying, "This is your baby brother." Grace stared at the tiny bundle in her mother arms while the doctor walked up to them and asked, "So have you guys agreed on the name for us to put on his birth certificate." Clark and Alicia looked towards each other before saying "Jonathan," together.

Martha came up to Alicia's other side to get a better view of the newborn while Clark took Grace back in his arms as she was falling asleep again. Half an hour later Clark had Grace asleep in his arms as a Alicia was breastfeeding Jonathan.

A couple hours later they were all in the recovery room. Alicia had finally succumbed to the exhaustion and fell asleep as Clark took care of and looked after Jonathan with some help from Martha. Jonathan went back to sleep securing a moment of silence for the room. Clark looked down to Jonathan and asked Martha, "Should his nickname be John or Johnny?" Martha gave it a second to think it over before answering, "I think he seems more like a Johnny?" Clark gave her nod as he said, "I guess we'll see what Alicia has to say on it. Do you want me to take you back so you can get some sleep because I should be good to watch over them for the rest of the night since I don't really need sleep and then I'll bring you back in the morning whenever you call me?" Martha thought about staying to help, but with them being in the hospital for the next day or two she would not be able to help too much, so she decided to take Clark up on his offer and went back to the farm to catch some sleep.

As Clark got back a minute or two later, he found Alicia half awake and feeding Jonathan. He moved to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead before saying, "Sorry you didn't get to sleep for longer." Alicia nuzzled her head into his neck before groggily saying, "He was hungry so there wasn't much we could do about that at least Grace is out for the count and as soon as this little guy is done hopefully, we will be too at least until he needs something else." Clark just stroked her hair as Jonathan continued to drink from her enjoying the peace and silence of everything being right.

Titusville Florida, Dream Space Coast Apartments, One Week After Jonathan's Birth

Alicia was feeding John while Clark was trying to get Grace to stop throwing her blueberries. Clark came over to the couch Alicia was on and started giving her a neck rub. She relaxed into his hands and said, "I'm not sure if you're supposed to feel this sore while breastfeeding or if it's from this little guy already being stronger than normal." Clark had no knowledge one way or the other on it and felt it best that he just stay quiet and give her a kiss on the head.

It was at this moment Clark felt something grabbing at his hair turned to look only to say, "You have got to be kidding me." Alicia looked over and saw Grace floating up to Clark's head trying grab it and began giggling as she said, "Definitely daddy's little girl. She even beat you to flying which at least shows you definitely have it in you." Clark shook his head as he pulled her out of the air commenting, "This is another thing we have to watch over now until she learns to control her powers and there is no easy fix like using the paint to stop her from teleporting." Alicia got up and started trying to burp Jonathan while giving a kiss to both Clark and Grace as she said, "Don't worry we will figure this out. Not to mention she is learning a lot of words lately even more than a normal baby should." Clark picked Grace up now that she finished eating her blueberries and said, "Jor-El said our planet was extremely advanced and that we were an extremely intelligent race. That might mean she picks up things faster than a normal baby, but either way it's not a bad thing." A knock at the door interrupted their conversation as Clark went to see who it was.

Clark opened the door to April holding Gabriella in her carrier. Clark quickly greeted them and led them over to Alicia. Alicia greeted them before asking, "Hey when you're breastfeeding Gabby does it feel like an industrial vacuum?" April tilted her head to the question before answering with a slight hesitation, "No I can't say it does. I mean maybe a slight discomfort if they were feeling sore before they started but otherwise not at all how you are describing it." Alicia gave a pointed look towards Clark who gave her a sly grin and a head bob almost as if he were saying 'Alright, I'll take the blame it's my fault.'

April turned to Clark and congratulated him, "By the way Clark congratulations on finishing your journalism degree. Are you going to be heading back the Daily Planet once we're done here in Florida or are you going to try a different news organization?" Clark sent her a smile and answered, "Thank you very much and yeah they said they would take me back in a heartbeat. I guess Lois and I were one of their top teams and with Lois still gone they are hoping half of the team can still make the magic work for them." April had a look of temptation as she asked, "So there is still no new information on where Lois is other than lost in time. It must be ruff on you guys and your friends in Metropolis." Clark gave out a huff as he said, "She was a major pain the neck most of the time, real bossy, but the more I look back on it the more I realize she had ended up becoming that annoying sibling I always wanted. She would drive you insane, but I know that when it came down to it, she would put those she cared about even above herself if necessary. I do worry that without her if the stories I put will even be half as good." April sent him a smile as she said, "Always keep faith that she will come back to us someday I mean it's not like she's dead so there is always a chance." Deciding to move onto lighter topics April asked, "So how have you guys been sleeping?" Alicia actually beamed at this question before answering, "I have got to be luckiest girl in the world because I have been able to sleep through the night no problems. Clark catches Jonathan stirring before I even wake up and takes care it. I feel bad about letting him take care of it all the time, but he won't wake me to let me do anything." Clark gave her a shrug while saying, "I really don't need sleep. I enjoy it, but I have pulled days straight with no sleep and felt the same." At this point April was left with an open mouth and soon turning it into a pout towards Alicia complaining, "That is so unfair." Clark and Alicia couldn't help but giggle at her comment.

They continued talking as Grace played with her building blocks and as both babies went to sleep, they put both Jonathan and Gabriella to sleep in the same crib. Clark let them do it before asking, "Is there any specific reason you two are putting them to sleep together in the same crib when we have a second crib right next to it." Alicia and April immediately jumped at the bait, and both said, "It's so that they can start bonding now and then eventually when they get older, they will become a couple." Clark gave them both a deadpan expression before shaking his head and saying, "You're both insane and I want to have no part in this. I'm going to hang out with Grace." Clark left the room to help Grace in building her castle out of blocks while Alicia and April took pictures of the babies sleeping together.

The night was slowly approaching so April took her leave before it got too dark, and Clark and Alicia were getting dinner ready. Clark had made some lasagna and roasted veggies yesterday but made enough for leftovers for today. Grace came floating up to Clark while he was reheating it and grabbed onto his neck while saying, "I want, I want." Both Clark and Alicia started laughing before Clark took a small piece and blew on it lightly to make sure it was cool enough for her to eat. Grace enjoyed it and started saying "More." Clark gave her some more of his before Alicia said, "No more, you have to eat your own food now." Grace looked almost as if she was going to start crying, but Clark snuck her a little more before giving a kiss to her head and putting her in her highchair. Clark handed Alicia her plate as she said, "She has you wrapped around her little fingers." Clark couldn't help but smile and offer no rebuttal knowing she was right and he completely fine with that.

As they were getting ready for bed Alicia asked him, "So are you going to be writing stories about the stuff you and your friends do or are you going to have someone else you trust do them." Clark sat at the edge of the bed in contemplation before responding, "I don't really know I mean it would be hard to cover a scene I'm actively involved in, and I don't really trust anyone enough to let them into our inner circle. I guess for now I'll wing it and see where it leads me." Clark went to turn off the lights before they both went to sleep for the night looking forward to the future.
