Lightz: First off, shut up Kei. Second, welcome to another chapter of The Amazing Deku, the first and original. And I hope you enjoy and read this story enough to say, 'I can do better than you,' and do it. In this chapter, watch some solid hero work. But first, a side story.
- Omake: Gravitate Towards Your Dreams -
In the halls of UA, Izuku dressed in his repaired red and blue suit walks while accompanied by Aizawa. As he does, he asks the unkempt hero, "What did you want me for again?"
"Just walk. All your answers will be there."
Soon the teacher-student duo enters a classroom. Inside the two see a purple-haired student with a familiar face wrapped in white and Nezu. Seeing her, Izuku shouts, "Ochako?!"
"Deku!" she says happily, waving to the boy.
"Midoriya, about time." Nezu faces the spider boy with a hand raised. "We're glad you could be here."
"Why am I here? And, why is Ochako?" Izuku asks curiously. She needs an id card to get in. Also, she's dressed in the white costume she wore while working for Shigaraki.
"I'm part of the Dual Admission Program," she tells him, surprising the boy.
"Huh?!"
Aizawa steps in now. "Uraraka was originally an applicant for UA, an opportunity stolen from her due to Kotaro Shimura kidnapping her. And thanks to her assistance exposing Shigaraki's crimes, she was granted permission to enter the program and become a hero in training like yourself."
"But, doesn't she need signatures for-" Ochako beats him to the punch before he could finish his verbal assault, showing a piece of paper. On it are heroes listed that have given her approval. "Ragdoll. Tora. Ryukyu-wow, her? Pixie-Bob. Hawks? Approved by Mandalay?!"
Ochako retrieves her list, before saying, "I might have my life back, but that doesn't solve my problems or accomplish my goals. I figured I would return to trying to be a hero."
He smiles prominently. Of course, that doesn't answer the question. "Did you bring me here to tell me this?"
"Heavens no," Nezu tells him cockily. "We didn't bring you over here just so you can bond with your friend. What are you, stupid?"
Aizawa snickers before he takes over. "Until she can take the Provisional License exam next year, she'll be training here alongside Hitoshi Shinso."
The aforementioned student waves. "Due to her unique body type, she requires ingesting the DNA of Quirkless people, or you. So until we can find a way to solve this or remove the venom, we need someone to provide a safe source for her."
"Safe source for-AAH!" As the thought hits him, her hands grasp some of his locks. She then pulls out scissors with a hungry look on her face. "At least let me do it!"
Chapter 62: Midoriya Interview 2
A lone person walks down a path. This woman wrapped in a black overcoat darker than any creamless cup of coffee enters the Koridan cemetery. Her eyes are covered by sunglasses that come straight out of a hardboiled detective novel scan through the multiple stones depicting the memories of those that have left to the great beyond until she happens upon the one she has been looking for.
Sighing, she takes a knee before the tombstone and brandishes a flower. She places the Asphodelus on the stone and prays. "I'm sorry it took so long, Dragon."
After saying her goodbyes, she takes out two pieces of paper. One is a photo of the green and black Spider-Man. "Now for you."
…
It's the beginning of December. With exams over and more villains acting out, the students of UA's hero courses are part of work studies for several hero agencies. One such agency has the top three hero students of Class 1-A Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto all together, the Endeavor Agency.
That is why they are out on the streets doing hero work this Friday night. Dressed in his repaired red and blue hero suit, Izuku sits against the side of a building looming down for action. A couple of cars pass by before he calls in using an earpiece in his mask. "Nothing on my end."
"I found someone with a fetish for stripping," Shoto says on his end.
"The fuck?" This is Katsuki.
"Someone wanted to expose himself in public. So I made him cold."
"Seems perfect for a weirdo like yourself…" Izuku turns off his end to resume watching.
Sighing, he hops off the wall and bungees down using a line of webbing. Doing so catches the attention of other people around him. Sheepish, the boy waves to them now that he's the center of attention.
"Hey, it's Spider-Man," says a little girl to him.
The boy flinches at being called by his vigilante name and proceeds to correct him. He bends his knees and says, "I'm actually not that guy. It's just a coincidence-"
"Hey, it is him!" Another person shouts this out, reinforcing her words. "That's what he was wearing in that video by Gentle!"
People clamor around him to get closer and examine him. It is a good thing he has his mask on, otherwise, they would be able to photograph his nervous face.
"Is that really you?"
"How did you end up on that video?"
"How did you get a hero license?!"
"Why has nobody arrested you yet?"
"Can I touch your ass?"
Using his camouflaging abilities, Izuku moves away from the crowd. As he walks away down the sidewalk and leaves their sight, he reappears back into reality. His shoulder bumps against someone else as he does. "Oh, sorry."
"It's fine," says the hooded person, looking at the spider person with a pause. "Wait, are you a hero?"
"Technically, but I'm just a student doing his work-study."
It's here Izuku notices that the person's eyes, due to the rest of his face being hooded, turn downcast with jealousy. "Hmph. Must be nice to use your Quirk whenever you want."
The spider boy also notices something else with him. He is rather pale, almost sickly. "Are you alright? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
"I'm fine!" He brushes by and moves quickly.
Watching him, he immediately can tell that something's wrong. Between his pale appearance, wearing clothes to hide, and what he said, there must be a reason behind it. "Should I follow him?"
"Deku!" Izuku turns left where he spots Katsuki coming down at him. The explosive user lands on the concrete using a blast to cushion his fall. He looks annoyed. "The fuck did you turn your damn comms off for?! I've been calling your ass for a while! We've been called back."
"I'm sorry," he says, though his tone shows he doesn't mean it.
"Whatever," Katsuki grumbles while rubbing his hand.
Eyes on it, Izuku notes that is the same hand he received from Kuri. It is something he's been meaning to ask about. "How's the hand?"
"Still feels weird. It doesn't explode right." Katsuki gains a toothy grin. "I just gotta break it in."
As the two of them talk, the person from earlier walks down a dark alley. He strains and groans as he drags against the walls. His fingers turn black with crust. "I can't anymore… I have to release it!"
Half an hour has gone by, and both Izuku and Katsuki are together in Endeavor's agency with Shoto eating dinner. The green spider tries to enjoy his soba but is unable to with his thoughts back on that person from before. Also, he doesn't like soba. He doesn't even know why he picked it… he must have been around Shoto when he picked it from the mess hall.
'How does Todoroki enjoy this so much?' he asks himself while eating, eyes back to the ice and hot user.
Moe Kamiji, the heroine known as Burnin', sits next to them with that eternal smile of hers that only Mirko simultaneously possesses. She rips out a thread of her flaming hair and drops it in her steak and rice bowl, setting it ablaze. After breaking her chopsticks apart she prepares to dine.
As she eats, starting with her hair, Izuku drops a stick watching. "… what?"
"You eat your hair?"
"Yeah." She goes back to eating.
So All Might isn't the only one stuck on eating hair. Now he can't even finish his damn food.
"AH! Somebody help!" Someone comes in running, screaming at the top of their lungs.
Burnin' gets up and asks, "What's wrong?!"
"It's… it's this weird fog!"
The television on the side changes to show an urgent message. On-screen it shows an image of the outside. The skies are being filled with purple fog. The prompt below reads, 'A hazardous fog has emerged, sending the area into chaos. Citizens are advised to find shelter at once!'
An image pops on screen, and Izuku flinches when he recognizes him. A newsman speaks about how a man named Takeshi Busujima is thought to be connected due to his poison gas Quirk.
'That guy had a poison gas Quirk?' A lightbulb pops up in the spider's head. But for now, they have to go help.
Rushing out the door, the heroes of Endeavor's agency go to work clearing away the poison gas and getting people to safety. Meanwhile, Katsuki and Izuku traverse the air in pursuit of the culprit.
Landing on a wall, the green teen spots a figure in a cloak moving through the alleys. A continued look and he notices the same fog emitting from him. On the intercom, he calls, "I found him! He is heading for the edge of town!"
He then continues the hunt, swinging in the air by splitting his focus between the buildings he shoots webs onto and Takeshi. 'It's still not the spider-sense, but I'll deal.'
Izuku gets closer before he flips in the air with him. He lands just in front of Takeshi in a crouch, causing him to stop. The man turns around and heads into another corridor, forcing the hero in training to give chase.
He follows him, where he spots the person heading to a crowd. But to his surprise, the culprit makes another turn. 'He could have lost me in that crowd of people… just like I thought.'
As Takeshi heads down the path, Katsuki lands in front of him. With the gas user cut off by this pincer formation, he stops while shaking in desperation. "Gotcha just where you are!"
The explosive user rushes in to make the arrest or takedown. However, Izuku moves in and pulls the man back using a web line. He catches him and shifts to stand between him and Katsuki but keeps his hand on him. Such an action surprises Takeshi and Katsuki, the latter shouting, "Deku, what are you doing?! That's a villain!"
"I don't think he is." His green eyes turn to Takeshi. "Your Quirk is killing you, isn't it?"
The man flinches at Deku's assessment. "Isn't that why you were running? So you can use your Quirk in a safe environment away from people?"
Both heroes in training face Takeshi, awaiting his response. Katsuki especially is surprised that the green hero came to that realization so easily. Eventually, after a brief pause, Takeshi speaks. "Yes. My Quirk creates poison gas. But, if I don't use it I start building it up inside me, and I can't hold onto it forever. If I don't release it, it'll eventually start killing me!"
His eyes turn frantic. "Our society doesn't let us use Quirks in public, but I've hit my limit! Before it destroys me, I gotta let it out! Does that make me a villain?! Huh?!"
Izuku stares down the man sadly. He really wants to help him, but such a Quirk requires a lot of space to air out. He will be just as irresponsible if someone got hurt or killed just so he could, and he doubts this person would be happy with the accidental murder. 'What can I do?'
"Then let it out."
Both parties turn to Katsuki, the ash-blond hero in training not batting an eye as he spoke. "If you can't hold it in, then let it out."
Takeshi asks for clarity. "Wait, really? You're okay with me releasing my gas?"
Izuku pats his shoulder. "Don't worry. Dynamight has an idea."
"But I've been stockpiling this for years. It's not gonna be a little fart that'll disappear in seconds; this will hurt a lot of people!"
"Quit your bitching and get going already!"
Izuku sparks with One for All and releases Black Whip to wrap around Takeshi. He then takes him to the air. Katsuki follows after using explosions until all three are high above the buildings. "Once you get to your highest, release all of it!" The spider boy then throws Takeshi up in the air.
Though flabbergasted, the man unleashes as much of his gas as possible. Katsuki aims with both hands; once Takeshi is out of range, explosions assault the gas and completely combust it. Izuku then catches him using Black Whip, still applying Float to keep in the air.
Slowly, Izuku brings himself and Takeshi down. "Are you okay?" he asks him.
Takeshi's expression is far healthier than before. He throws off the useless face mask and gasps with a smile. "It's gone. The poison is all gone!"
He faces them with surprise. "You actually helped me."
"Of course," Izuku tells him. "Heroes are there to help people."
With tears in his eyes, he gleefully says, "Thank you," before running up to hug Katsuki, to his annoyance.
Afterward, they explain the situation to the authorities. While what he did could not be erased, once the full story came out he will receive a lighter sentence. Of course, that isn't the end of their troubles.
Tomorrow at 10 am…
Over at the Endeavor agency, the heroes working there have gathered in the office space. The thirty sidekicks and trainees stand together as the eponymous hero steps forward. His face still sporting the scar from before, the Flame Hero stares down at the two young heroes in front of him, Dynamight and Deku.
"Good work out there, both of you," he tells them proudly. "The two of you helped avert a crisis and brought an important matter to the public's eye."
Shoto stares with disbelief. This doesn't line up at all with his father's personality. The same person who wanted to capture a rogue vigilante isn't treating a civilian using his Quirk like a villain. All of this shock is making the red in his eye veins visible.
"Tensions are still high due to All Might's retirement and Shigaraki's gang still out there," he speaks with conviction. "The last thing we need is to turn the public against us."
Now Shoto relaxes a little. He hasn't changed that much.
Endeavor turns his back to the young ones. "Due to the nature of this event, the media wishes to speak about this. And, one Chitose Kizuki wants to interview the ones who were with Takeshi Busujima."
"Eh?" The two in question flinch in response at that.
Burnin' steps forth. "Sir, I don't think that's a good idea."
"Maybe, but they don't have a real choice. They don't go, people will make up stories without caring what the truth is."
"Oh, man…" Izuku mutters as he drops his shoulders. "I don't know if I can go on public television. People already think I'm Spider-Man, and a lot of problems and annoyance will come if more people know. Then again, they already believe I am and might not care. They could even just focus on what happened and not bring it up. But if they do…"
More murmuring follows, enough to echo throughout the monolithic room. While the explosion user is annoyed and tries to ignore it, Endeavor and Burnin' just remain quiet.
Soon, Deku comes out of his thoughts and turns red looking at everyone as soon as it hits that his annoying habit took over. "… I was scaring you, wasn't I?"
While as stoic as he needs to, Endeavor says, "You don't have to worry about them asking about your secret identity."
"THE BOSS UNDERSTOOD HIM!" shouts Burnin', flabbergasted yet still smiling.
"So long as you don't bring it up." That's not going to help!
"I'm not sure I can pull it off…" Izuku mutters. "I have no experience talking to the media."
"We didn't get that Entertain class either," Bakugo grumbles with his arms crossed. Well, sort of. Those gauntlets are hard to cross over the chest.
Burnin' turns to Izuku. "It's cool, kid. All you gotta do is imagine your audience in their underwear."
"That's a cliché," Izuku tells himself under his breath as he also crosses his arms. Due to where he's facing and the advice he just received, his danger-sense turns on. 'What am I getting a warning for-' "AAAAH!"
Burnin' retrieves her two fingers while Izuku holds his face. "Don't fucking practice on me!"
"I wasn't!"
Later That Day…
Dressed in a black and purple suit, Izuku stands within the news station with Katsuki at his side; his associate is dressed in a yellow and black suit. The latter also has his hair groomed to be smooth, almost as if Best Jeanist was behind it.
He's not happy about it.
"I can't fucking believe they made me do this again!" Katsuki growls as he prepares to go on national television.
"Just stay calm…" Izuku tells himself as he mentally charges his emotions for what's to come. This is why he wears a mask!
Endeavor out of uniform watches the teens deal with what's to come. Next to him is All Might, wearing his traditional yellow suit. The latter stares at Izuku, finding his nervousness kind of cute compared to his fearlessness and heroism when wearing the mask. Right now he's acting like a rabbit caught in a storm.
"Midoriya, it's okay," Yagi says to the green teen, patting his shoulder. "You can handle this. Here's some advice."
"I know, I know. Just imagine them in their underwear."
Stunned, Yagi speaks, "Yeah, don't do that. The last person who imagined Kizuki in her underwear couldn't hide it."
"Huh?"
Someone comes out and says, "Bakugo, Midoriya, you two are on in sixty seconds."
The countdown begins for them. Smirking, the ash-blond hero steps in to get his fifteen minutes of fame. Izuku follows suit, whatever confidence he gained from dancing in front of a crowd, fighting villains that almost killed him a few times, and getting laid once a month in no way, shape, or form helping him in this situation.
Both childhood rivals come together in a room with cameras fixated on them. The blue woman Chitose Kizuki sits in front of them in a lone chair. She holds a microphone in her right hand and crosses her legs.
To the cameras, she says, "Welcome, everyone, to another episode of Curiosity! I'm your host Chitose Kizuki, executive director of Shoowaysha Publishing, and I'm here to showcase these two young heroes."
The camera moves to the Class 1-A students, focusing on the furious-looking Katsuki and the nervous-collecting Izuku. "Standing before you right now are the two heroes involved with the case of Takeshi Busujima: Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya, or as their hero names respectively, Dynamight and the Amazing Deku."
Over by the sidelines, Yagi and Enji are seen watching the interview proceed. She begins by saying, "Now, most of you will recognize Bakugo as the esteemed victor of UA's Sports Festival. It's a shame he couldn't bring the medal as I asked."
"She did?" Izuku turns to Katsuki, who looks aside.
"As if it fucking counts!" The green teen flinches at Katsuki's chipotle enema personality leaks out on live television for all to smell.
"K-Kacchan, we're live."
"Good! Now I ain't gonna be censored by some dainty little soft-hearted wuss of an editor."
"Ooh, we have a motor mouth running here." Chitose leans forward. "I'm sensing the two of you are close friends."
"Yes/No." They both face each other.
"Well, which is it? You can only be one or the other."
"Well, we kind of did grow up together," Izuku says with his hands adding futile detail moving to and fro.
"No one needs to know that shit! You'll make me look bad!"
"Yeah, that's a rip."
Katsuki snaps his head around at Izuku fast enough to snap a normal man's neck. There are two things that sentence is insinuating he can murder him for.
Enjoying the back and forth they're doing, Chitose turns to Izuku. 'It's time to do what he wanted.' "Now, Midoriya was it? Unlike Bakugo here, you on the other hand seem to have avoided the spotlight. Not only were you nowhere in UA's Sports Festival, but no one has seen you take action before summer during what I can only guess is UA's internship week."
Izuku becomes sheepish and red. "I… you see… I guess I wasn't that important."
"Oh, but you were to him. Busujima personally was thankful to the violent-looking grenadier and the All Might look-a-like who rescued him."
"Grenadier?!" Katsuki barks. "That's not even appropriate to what I looked like!"
"All Might look-a-like?" Izuku asks, drowning out whatever his abrasive partner said.
"Wasn't that what you were going for?" she asks, pointing to a video showing the two of them and other heroes from Endeavor's agency. "Your costume's color scheme is completely reminiscent of All Might's golden and silver age outfits."
"That is true," Izuku says as he smiles a bit. "He is my inspiration to becoming a hero after all."
"Mine too, Deku," Katsuki growls. "But at least I'm not obsessive about it."
"I'm not obsessive-"
"There's a room of special edition All Might merchandise back at the barracks that says otherwise."
Now Izuku has the tomato impression. "KACCHAN!"
Forgetting about her objective, Chitose decides to dig. "A room?"
"Wallpapers, a statue, even under-" Izuku grabs his mouth to keep him shut.
"He's just messing around!" Katsuki struggles to break free, once more forgetting how strong he is.
The blue woman chuckles a little. "Well, I asked because the colors made me think of All Might, and your fighting style is not unlike him. But I guess if you've been his fan that deeply it makes sense you'd choose such a stylish outfit. It's just a shame you couldn't keep the other one."
While he smiles at the compliment he got from Hatsume's hard-worked costume, that last comment makes him flinch. What does she mean by 'other one'?
Without following up on that, Chitose faces the likes of Katsuki before she speaks, "Busujima's Poison Gas Quirk is listed as dangerous, but there was never a report of it being at all fatal to the user. How did you come to this conclusion?"
Once the green teen releases his hand, Katsuki growls at him. He then focuses on Chitose, saying, "I didn't know that. Deku figured it out; I just told him to let it go before I blew it up."
"Is that so?" The mic is held before Izuku.
He smiles with an embarrassed expression before giving his explanation. "I guess I just paid attention to him. He was pale, was envious of people who used Quirks, and was trying to hide to use his Quirk."
"How terrible," Chitose says. "To think a man had to suffer for something he was born with and couldn't get rid of it due to the social norms. He was lucky someone like you noticed his suffering, but someone else could have this same issue. And the whole world will view him as a villain because of something he had no control over.
"So many people suffer for having Quirks. While Takeshi Busujima has to slowly die to contain the poison his body produces, a little girl born with a Quirk that forces her to drink blood has to repress her urges just to be considered normal."
That catches Izuku's attention. "A blood-drinking Quirk?"
Katsuki states, rolling his eyes to the left. He can say something, but he won't. This conversation reminds him of how he treated Deku for years.
"That brings up an interesting topic my viewers asked-"
"Couldn't this girl receive blood donations to satisfy this uncontrollable urge? That way she doesn't have to hurt anyone?" Izuku's sudden interruption surprises Chitose, causing the woman to lean back.
"… I'm sorry?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was just thinking out loud again." He scratches the side of his head sheepishly.
She's amazed. He has actually thought of a means for that girl to resolve her issue. But, he can't become cognitive of the truth. Catching herself, she resumes what she was saying. "So, as I asked, a few of my viewers asked me something I wanted an outside opinion on; should Quirk Regulations remain in effect? Shouldn't Quirks be free to use for everyone?"
Both teens focus back onto the woman as she proceeds. "So many people would have happier, easier lives if they were liberated from these regulations. Someone with an electromagnetic Quirk could go places while reducing greenhouse gases, someone with a weight-removing Quirk can do construction, and people like Busujima will never have to hide to liberate themselves from their suffering."
Izuku thinks on her lines. Just as he's about to speak, Katsuki shouts out. "Oh, boohoo. As if anyone should care about what others think. Pretty sure people use their Quirks without getting reprihanded… repurandered… what's this word?"
"Reprimanded?"
"I didn't ask you, Deku!" he snaps, turning back to Chitose. "If you have to break the law to live, then you gotta make your choices! But be ready for the consequences if someone gets hurt! Also, an electromagnetic Quirk user shouldn't give a shit about some fucking social justice warrior telling him what he should or shouldn't do! I for damn sure won't!"
"Of course you wouldn't…" Izuku sighs as he mumbles to himself.
Chitose, while taken back by his heavy-handed opinion, smiles. Essentially, he agrees with her. Willing to focus on the other one, the blue woman turns to Izuku. "Midoriya, your turn. What do you think about free Quirk usage?"
Taking in that question, Izuku is silent while sporting a blank face deep in thought. After five seconds, he says, "I don't agree to it."
Taken aback, Chitose almost shouts. She catches herself to remain professional. She then asks, "Care to elaborate?"
"I don't think people should be allowed to use Quirks as freely as you think." His face sports the ten-year turmoil he can never forget. "There are Quirks that can create huge flames, Quirks that can steal other Quirks, Quirks that make people look younger, and Quirks that just let you stretch your eyelids. And even now, there are still people who don't have Quirks. With free Quirk usage, not just villains but bullies, thugs, regular people with attitude problems who don't want to be passive-aggressive online anymore; all of them will be free to abuse their powers however they want."
He takes a moment to pause. "We already live in a Quirk-obsessed society that only cares about what someone can do and not beyond that. The number of weak Quirk users and Quirkless people who commit suicide in such a world will be incalculable."
That catches many off guard. The cameramen come out from behind the lenses. Even Chitose has a hand to her face at this perspective. Katsuki remains silent. He can't say a damn thing against this. "At the same time, there need to be exceptions. If there can be regulations to give regular people licenses to own weapons, there should be one for people to use their Quirks without being heroes. It's pretty clear that while everyone has a Quirk, not all of them want to be heroes. A license to use your Quirk to do something like venting the poison gas inside of you would be a lot better than just letting everyone do whatever they want."
At that, Chitose looks at Izuku and then Katsuki. Unable to speak against the logic and emotion in his words, she says, "I'd… I appreciate your insight and your time. Unfortunately, we're out of it. Thank you for coming here today, Midoriya and Bakugo."
"Yeah, thanks," Katsuki says before getting up to leave.
"Oh, uh, you're welcome!" Izuku bows to her before standing up. "I hope we can do this again."
"Don't lie to be polite!"
Chitose smiles. "Oh, I'd like that too. Maybe next time we'll get to whether or not you're the vigilante Spider-Man."
That next shock catches them by surprise too. Katsuki glares at her while the color on Izuku's face drains. "Cameras are off now."
That calms down the latter, but the former is still ready to fight. "Why the hell would you ask that?!"
"I was extremely curious," she jokes. "But, it's time for you to go."
"R-Right! See you later, miss curious!" Izuku stutters suddenly, dragging Katsuki away.
"Hey! Let the fuck go of me!"
Over in the back, Enji and Yagi narrow on Chitose. The former says, "The cameras cut off just as she said the name." The latter sighs with relief.
Elsewhere At The Same Time...
Sitting inside the hero cafe from chapter 25, a familiar figure sits by the window. Silent and alone, she sips the remains of her earl grey, unable to plug her ears from everything those two teens said.
She places her cup down before she mutters, "Just another pair of innocent minds brainwashed by the illusions they've been shown."
With a raised finger she calls for her check and following her payment she gets moving, leaving the cafe. Entering the night of Musutafu, she adjusts her mouth mask over her face before she heads toward the crowd. "Oh well. That doesn't change the job."
- 2nd Omake: Aftermath -
"Kacchan!" Izuku shouts to Katsuki as they head home in the back of the UA van.
"Deku!" he shouts back. "There, we shouted each other's names!"
"Technically, we... look, how could you say those things on national television?"
"Yeah, I know. I had to filter my ass so much."
"You call that a filter?!" Izuku mumbles this to himself. "We were representing UA and heroes. Now they'll think we're foul-mouthed thugs!"
"If they already think you're Spider-Man, it ain't like I can do worse." Izuku hangs his head at that. "I don't care anyway. We're heroes, and they're not. What are they gonna do? Write a five thousand word essay on their blogs so all two hundred of their subscribers can flame us? Threaten our lives on the internet? Only losers would do that and get scared of them."
As Katsuki calms down, the car comes to UA. "Besides, Four-eyes and Kirishima will be far more annoying than any of them. The nerd will be waving his arms like a robot telling us no and no, and Kirishima will just be saying how manly we were."
The two teens step out with Yagi as their driver. While doing so, Izuku checks his phone. "... uh, Kacchan?"
"What the hell do you want?" The emerald spider shows him a picture on his phone. It's essentially a funny photo of Katsuki as a buff dog in an interview. But that's on one side; the other shows him as a smaller dog crying because he was captured by a villain a year ago.
He's steaming.
Kei: A little petty Lightz, don't you think-Hey! Is that why you told me to shut up?!
Wanda: Moving on, in the next chapter, we'll join the crew during their Christmas break. New Years' will be ready for them too, as well as another interview with Shimura.
