Three months later…
"We have to hurry! We're going to be late!"
"Yes, mom!"
"Did you call them?!"
"Yes, mom!"
"Do you have everything ready?!"
"Yes, mom!"
"Is everything packed?!"
"Yes, mom!"
"Extra clothes?! Medicine?! Notebooks?!"
"Yes, mom!"
Felicia nearly bumped into Paula in her chaotic scramble through the house. "Oh, you look nice, Felicia!" her fellow tigress said cheerily.
"Th-thanks, Paula," she replied with a blush. Paula pulled her in for a sudden hug.
"Aww, I'm gonna really miss you!"
Felicia slipped out of her friend's grasp to return to her mad scramble. "Don't worry, I'll be chatting with you lots! And I'll send you lots and lots of pictures. I promise!" Descending down the stairs, she joined the rest in her family for their final preparations.
"It's gonna be so weird knowing you're not around waiting for me in your room!" Paula went on, "Things are gonna feel so different with you studying abroad!"
Felicia let out a hearty laugh. "Honestly it'll probably be the same as it was when I was still on the run, especially with me going all around the world! Only this time with a lot more calls and a lot less life threatening situations!"
"Come on, my beti!" her mother urged, standing at the door, "We really have to go!"
"Yes, mom!" taking the lead, everyone followed Felicia out of the house. As everyone rushed down the road, she caught sight of Alpha and Omega, their armor long-since removed, talking amongst a group of hybrid furs with orange fur, spots on their legs and stripes on their arms, sergals. They were all in one big group, with Alpha speaking to them all in their own language, gesturing all around their surroundings.
That came to a stop as soon as Alpha caught sight of Felicia. She politely dismissed herself before grabbing Omega's hand and following after the group. "Wait for us!" she shouted.
"Hurry! Hurry! We're almost there!" Everyone picked up the pace as Felicia urged them on. They rushed up a dirt hill with bikers ringing their bells at them as they passed. When they reached the bottom, they could see the many, many, many flowers that now decorated the old, empty lab of Dr. Kagami. Standing just outside its door, NexUs stood there waiting for them. She shouted and waved to them to catch their attention. They perked up at the sound of her voice and waved back.
"You made it!" they said cheerfully before bowing to them all, "Is this everyone?"
"Yeah, this is everyone," Felicia panted and propped herself against the wall to catch her breath.
"We still have to hurry!" said Felicia's mother, "We can't be late for your flight!"
"I know, I know," Felicia nodded before straightening up and reaching into her pocket, "But since I'm going to study to become a geneticist, I wanted to visit this place one last time." As she pulled out her camera, she urged everyone to huddle together. "Come on! Everyone in!" Everyone got in close as she switched the device on and lined up the shot. With everyone together, standing at the flower-ridden door, Felicia put on a bright smile and began to count down. "One…two…three!"
