Chapter 18
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! *Blows air horn* Yep, it's been a whole year since I started this story along with its sister story, MHA watches Death Battle! And what better way to celebrate our Independence Day with the final part of Captain America: The First Avenger!
Also, to any that read my other fic, My Hero Pokedamia, I have not released a chapter yet because of issues. Not with the story itself or reluctance on my part to write more, but because of some internet issues going on with my house interfering with me and making me unable to save my work and making it difficult to write new chapters. Luckily, I had this already started before then and am currently working on this story through the FanFiction app, so apologies if there are some errors, this is my first time actually writing using it, but I will focus on this story first and then My Hero Pokedamia afterwards.
Anyways, back to the story, last time we had the group see Izuku kick ass as Captain America with his trusty shield, the Howling Commandoes, some romantic drama with Izuku and Setsuna and the rest of the girls, and finally the big whammy: Bucky's 'death'. And let's follow it up with Cap's sacrifice and 'death'.
But first, to the reviews!
OmnipotentAbsoluteUIGodzilla: I'm not disagreeing on you that Bruce and Natasha was cringefest, because it was, but whether their ship sucks doesn't mean that the Incredible Hulk is any better because of Betty, because she doesn't come back to the MCU at all and, as much as I want to, I can't just get rid of Bruce and Natasha's 'connection' because it's sadly a big part of Age of Ultron and has a few hints of it in Infinity War and Endgame and it at least serves as a bit of the drive for Hulk using the Stark Gauntlet to bring everyone back in a way, as Hulk stated that he tried to bring her back using it but failed. Also, I get what you are saying, but Hulk's origins is the one least impactful to the story in comparison to the others and can be easily explained in Avengers, which it did. I never watched Incredible Hulk before Avengers, so I'm speaking from experience how the wait for Hulk's reveal was amazing and how when watched Incredible Hulk later, it was a letdown in comparison. Also, they have FRIDAY to tell them anything else that was missed and I can always add a few new lines in Civil War to help, like one of the Avengers, likely Natasha, on Ross's views and past with Hulk.
KennyBoy: My plans were at first to only do these two stories but when I got that idea for My Hero Pokedamia, I just couldn't let it go and had to write it. Also yeah I'm sorry that you guys have to wait for so long but the things holding me back are generally not wanting to burn out, cause usually when writing these stories starts to become an obligation and not a pleasure then it can start to hurt my writing. Yeah, while Iron Man 3 is generally one of my least favorite MCU movies, right up with Captain Marvel, as the worst, Incredible Hulk, and Thor the Dark World, it does serve a purpose in Stark's eventual descent into creating Ultron. Yeah, sadly since this isn't a Hero Training Exercise or a battle with Villains, Mineta is forced to only have two things going for him here, his brains and personality, the former I will try to show more since he is smart, and the latter being Issei times 3 and just as annoying to me. Give them Vibranium? No! Why would I possibly give them vibranium? What gave you that idea? *winkwink* Setsuna's and Izuku's true attraction and feelings towards each other, and Deku's feelings towards the other girls, will be explored later, just like Ibarra's to Bakugou and his to hers. At the timeline where this story takes place, during the three month time skip before the war arc, Endeavor has come quite a way and still has a mountain-long road to trek before amends are fully met. Yeah, I use to hate Bakugou, and he can still grate my nerves a bit, but he has grown, both in character and in my opinions towards him, and that little dilemma between the two will be talked about and likely even dealt with and resolved in this story.
grilledmonkey: Dude, dude, why are you so good at figuring out stuff in these movies? That's Exactly what I thought when I saw it and had no clue how people somehow miss it and then go and say that Bucky and Sam are gay for each other just because they are good friends? It's ridiculous. And yeah, I definitely will have that in the story, watch for the shoutout because there will be one for you in thanks, likely in the end notes.
FShield96: If it comes to his friends, teachers, and mother, Izuku can be absolutely furious, with starling displays of anger that can surpass the likes of Bakugou, as we see later in the manga. And if he saw one of his best friends die in front of him with no way of saving him and the class pervert talk about sexually harassing one of his crushes he would definitely go ballistic. No, I won't be having Deku share the girls with other guys and the guys share their girls with Deku. The girls possibly sharing Deku is one thing, but with other dudes is a bit of a stretch, plus Ibarra's Catholic or Christian so I'm sure she's not open to a polyamorous relationship. But yeah, Todoroki is, no homo, a very attractive dude and deserves a bit of attention from the ladies, but not as much sense Deku already charmed his way into the other girl's hearts. Also, other guys will have their shots at romance with the rest of the girls, like Itsuka and Tetsutetsu and Shihai and Kinoko.
Yarheeguy: Sadly, they switched up the My Villain Academia arc for the Endeavor Agency Arc, but you will see soon in the anime just how radically dangerous the MLA and later the PLF are. Another thing that makes the whole idea of complete Quirk freedom is actually rather dangerous is what happens after the war arc, spoilers, but regular civilians try using their Quirks to defend themselves but since they are not trained to use them right, it causes a lot of collateral damage, both in property and lives. Also, the argument in giving the training to use their Quirks wisely also comes with the risk of that you are training regular civilians how to wield their powers, which breeds more chances for them to use them villainously. Also, they wouldn't give a pass to Wanda because she did an accident and they understand that she didn't mean to, they would give her a pass because they think that she's powerful enough to be given more treatment and rights than those that she may have harmed. Also, spoilers again, Shigaraki didn't just come over and do a hostile takeover out of nowhere, the MLA started the fight with the League of Villains. And not because out of the goodness of their hearts, but because they are both a distraction and threat to them and to gain good will with the people if regular civilians, that are actually MLA members, we're to be able to defeat the League of Villains when the Heroes couldn't. Shigaraki only took over because their boss, who's still alive, surrendered the army to him and acknowledged him as their superior and true leader. And trust me, the MHA Hero association will definitely show and is currently showing just how corrupt and harmful they actually are, much like SHIELD. The group won't know this comparison to the MLA besides Hawks who is part of it as a double agent, and, if I were to make him Pierce's counterpart, then they also wouldn't know if he was the leader of the MLA besides Hawks who knows and that could generally lead right into the war arc if the heroes catch onto it. I would say more, but this is already getting too long so I think I will have to take a Raincheck on more of your review in the next chapter.

Third POV
Izuku revved up his motorcycle and sped down a road in a forest at high speeds, the look on his one full of determination.
"Gotta say Midoriya, you look awesome on a motorcycle." Itsuka complimented.
"U-uh Thanks." Izuku thanked.
Meanwhile, the girls glared suspiciously at Itsuka, while Tetsutetsu tried to continue staring at the screen, also trying to keep his eyes from twitching.
Suddenly, a group of 6 Hydra goons appeared behind him, chasing after him on their own motorcycles. They fired onto Izuku with the guns on their advanced motorcycles, the blue energy shooting out towards him. One bolt of blue energy struck the shield behind Izuku's back and ricochet away.
"Oh phew." Hagakure gasped. "Good thing that blast hit the shield."
"They seem to be hitting the shield a lot." Mina said.
"Well can you blame them?" Kyouka questioned. "It's a large red and white target and I'm sure Zuku's been blocking most of the shots with it."
Rogers looked back before turning back and speeding away, the Hydra goons on his tail. Rogers looked at a set of switches next to one of the handles of his bike. He flipped one switch and pressed a button, a wire shooting off towards two trees, forming a straight line as it immediately detached itself from the bike. The four lead riders quickly ducked, only for the two in the back to be caught unaware, their bodies slamming into the wire and sent flying back as their bikes zoomed ahead and crashed without their drivers.
"Ooh, Mama like this baby." Mei's eyes lit up. "It seemed to be a wire launcher that immediately detaches from the bike to form a trip wire."
"Looks like it works well against other motorcyclists." Melissa said. "I wonder what those other switches on the bike do."
Out of the back, fire shot out forming a plume of flames that shot back towards the Hydra riders. One was engulfed in the flames and tumbled out the ground, whilst another crashed his bike onto the flaming body of the motorcycle, sending the driver flying as well in a tumble.
"Oh." Melissa said wide eyed in surprise. "Okay, it does that."
"And we got another two Hydra guys down." Uraraka cheered. "Let's Go Deku!"
"Go get them, Papa!" Eri cheered, causing a series of coos and chuckles.
Izuku looked to his left to see the remaining two Hydra riders went down another path. Soon the two Hydra goons were in front of him. Izuku frowned, revved the bike up more, and rode faster towards them. As he reached them, Rogers pulled a pin on the back of the bike of one of them and sped off. The two Hydra drivers barely had a chance to look in confusion at what he pulled before they were engulfed in an explosion.
"Smart." Snipe said. "Taking two birds down with their own stone."
Captain America looked forwards towards his destination, a large bunker base, with two white walls, a cannon on each of the walls, and passed them two large, black bunker doors and a collection of Hydra vehicles and tanks.
"I'm guessing that's the Hydra base." Kosei said.
"What gave it away?" Sen said. "The Hydra tanks or the large, mega canons they got?"
Cap brought his shield up from his back and placed it on the front of the motorcycle, just as the cannons fired on him.
"Is he placing the shield in front of him to block those energy blasts?" Kirishima asked.
"Likely, but he's also shielding his vision from dirt and debris that could be kicking up from the blasts." Tamaki answered.
The blasts exploded around him, dirt shooting off from the ground and flames arose around him, yet he continued to speed towards the gate. A Hydra tank rolled up, blocking the entrance and fired on him, only for Izuku to flip another switch, two rockets firing from his bike and colliding with the tank, it exploding into pieces.
"Wow that things just got everything in it." Kaminari said. "What's next a self-destruct button?"
Izuku's bike ran up the slanted slope of the wall and flew up and into the inside of the base. He rode past a few Hydra goons, some ducking out of the way, others attempting to fire on him. As he rode towards the bunker, he flipped one last switch and button before jumping off the bike with his shield, sailing through the air and slamming into a Hydra goon, before landing in a roll. He quickly looked to the Hydra goon coming to his left and tossed his shield, the metal, American-colored disk slamming into the guy's face, while the bike rode towards the bunker doors, crashing and exploding into flames, bursting through the doors and blasting back the troops inside.
"Yes, yes there is a self-destruct button." Sero said.
"Although, more accurately since there was no audible timer, the bike could have been rigged to explode upon impact as a makeshift missile for such an occasion." Edgeshot said.
Cap blocked a bolt of energy before slamming the shield onto the blaster, sending it away, and slamming his knee into the man's gut, sending him flying into a pile of boxes. Izuku slammed the shield into Hydra goon coming up behind him in the face, the soldier falling to the ground. He rushed to another enemy soldier, blocking and smacking aside the man's fist, countering with a punch to the gut and finally slamming the shield onto his face in an upwards uppercut, sending the man flying. He quickly turned around to slam the shield's edge down the man's gut, bringing the enemy down onto his hands and knees and delivered a kick to the gut that also sent the man soaring through the air and into a painful landing.
"Jesus." Honenuki cursed. "Midoriya's kicking their asses and literally sending them flying."
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu nodded rapidly in excited agreement, jabbing and moving their fists and arms through the air in front of them, mimicking Cap's technique, with Sato, Ojiro, Shoji, and Sen doing the same.
As two more Hydra soldiers rushed towards him, Rogers tossed the shield to his left, the shield bouncing off the tank it hit and flying towards the back of one of the Hydra soldiers, sending him to the ground and the shield into the air.
"That was Awesome!" Kouta cheered.
"Midoriya's showing off the more intellectual advantage that the super-soldier serum grants him, like accuracy and superb skill at geometry." Shoda said.
Izuku meanwhile, slammed his feet into the side of the gun, the blaster flying out of the soldier's hands, before Cap grabbed him and tossed him into the air. He quickly looked up and grabbed the shield, his arm sliding into the arm strap of the shield.
Meanwhile, large blushes and waves of lust radiating off of them were the reactions of the girls. Momo turned back on the fan after seeing Izuku toss the shield with perfect geometric precision, Kyouka leaning in as well at seeing Izuku fighting like a one-man army. Nejire was practically sweating seeing Izuku destroy waves of Hydra soldiers easily and looking awesome while doing it. Mina and Hagakure were of the same mind, finding Midoriya fighting through the soldiers with such speed, grace, and strength to be both exhilarating and stimulating. Mei and Melissa were already dreamy-eyed after Izuku kicked ass on his motorcycle, but after seeing him beat down scores of Hydra troops with nothing but his bare fists and shield, the two were one step away from plunging into lala land. Uraraka was in a similar predicament, her eyes half closed and glazed and blushing while Asui felt like he was right in the middle of in heat after seeing Deku jump out of the motorcycle with such grace and kicking Hydra ass.
Setsuna was all of the above, practically biting her lips and squirming in her seat watching Izuku kick Nazi ass with such strength, smarts, and fearlessness.
He whirled around to see two large Hydra soldiers come from behind and in front of him, fire shooting out of the weapons strapped to their arms, trapping Izuku in a diamond of fire. The flames let up as a whole several dozen of Hydra soldiers surrounded Izuku, their Tesseract-powered guns all aiming at him.
"Oh no." Hagakure whimpered. "He's trapped."
"There has to be something more to this." Momo said, rubbing her chin in thought. "Izuku wouldn't just rush in recklessly into a battle like this without a plan up his sleeves.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Hawks asked Endeavor.
Endeavor nodded. "He allowed himself to get captured."
The scene changed to Izuku being led into Schmidt's office/lab by two Hydra soldiers, each grabbing his arm, while two others stood behind them, one with his they stopped in the middle of the room, Red Skull's voice sounded off. "Arrogance may not be a uniquely American trait," Red Skull said as he walked into the light, wearing black pants, a black leather shirt and two black suspenders strapped to his sides. "But I must say, you do it better than anyone."
"I think he's confusing Deku with Bakugou." Uraraka said.
"I'LL BEAT YOU UP GRAVITY BITCH!" Bakugou yelled as he was held back by Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, glaring at the smug smirking Uraraka.
Izuku glared at Schmidt as he stood in front of him. "But there are limits to what even you can do, Captain." Red Skull continued. "Or did Erskine tell you otherwise?"
Izuku's eyes narrowed, the doctor's smile and his death fueling the anger that welled up in them.
"He told me you were insane." Izuku retorted.
"Ah." Red Skull breathed out, his gaze looking away and almost as if revisiting the past. "He resented my genius and tried to deny me what was rightfully mine. But he gave you everything."
"Classic Villain misunderstanding everything shit." Miruko said, rolling her eyes.
"So," Shigaraki's counterpart said. "What made you so special?"
Izuku chuckled. "Nothing." He replied, Red Skull frowning. "I'm just a kid from Brooklyn."
Izuku and All Might smiled, the two of them noticing yet another parallel between Izuku and Cap. 'Back then you were only seen as a Quirkless fanboy and dreamer.' All Might thought. 'But just like Erskine saw the worth inside Rogers, I saw that in you, Young Midoriya. Like my Master said to me, never forget your origin, where you started from, and take pride in that unlike those born with power, you Won your power.'
For Bakugou, those words brought back Bakugou back to his second fight with Midoriya, after the Provisional Licensing Exam that he failed. Where he confronted Deku about his Quirk being passed onto him by All Might, about why he was constantly failing while useless Deku grew and got ahead so much, about why All Might acknowledged Deku instead of him. In the end, he came out with it was nothing truly different about them, that their goals and ways of being a Hero were just two sides of a same coin, that while he had power he lacked the true heart of Hero that Deku had, while he lacked the power he had. He learned that he wasn't wrong in strength is key as a Hero, just that the Heart is key too, a heart of compassion and selflessness that both Deku and Rogers have.
'That doesn't mean I wasn't wrong in how I treated him though.' Bakugou thought, before shaking his head. 'But that can wait for later.'
He hissed in anger and struck Izuku across the face, then again, and then slammed his fist into his gut, the super soldier brought to his knees, coughing and sputtering. Izuku panted and looked up at Red Skull. "I can do this all day." He said.
"MANLY!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu roared.
The teachers and pros nodded in respect and admiration.
Bakugou, Todoroki, Iida, Mirio, and Shinsou smirked.
The girls swooned and cheered. Setsuna smiled brightly a blush on her face.
All Might smiled proudly, while Eraser nodded his head, hiding his own proud smirk behind his scarf.
Eri and Kouta too cheered, with pure awe and admiration in their eyes for their Hero.
"Oh, of course you can, of course." Red Skull sighed sarcastically, pulling out his Tesseract-powered handgun. "But, unfortunately, I am on a tight schedule."
He lowered the gun and aimed for Roger's head.
"Okay, no no no, don't just kneel there, get out there!" Mina yelled.
Melissa gripped Deku's hand tightly once more.
Before he could pull the trigger, the sounds of metal against rock sounded. Red Skull turned away and looked towards the window, seeing cables and hooks attached to the rock above the windows, and saw as Allied soldiers zipped down towards the windows.
"The Calvary is here!" Nejire cheered.
"He did let himself get caught on purpose." Mirio smiled. "Cool strategy Deku!"
"He attacked the Hydra base head on to make it look like some arrogant, foolhardy plan." Jurota analyzed. "Then he let himself get captured to get himself and then his allies, likely tracking his position, to get behind enemy lines and attack from within and outside. Ingenious."
"So am I." Captain America growled. He pulled his arm, bringing the Hydra soldier to his right in front of him, just as Red Skull pulled the trigger and disintegrated his man instead.
"Good." Aizawa nodded. "In such a compromising position with the gun so close, if attempted to dodge the blast or make a grab at it, it would likely fail and get shot. So he instead pulled on his arm suddenly to pull the Hydra soldier holding him by surprise and use him as a living shield."
"Sounds like a tactic you would use with your capture scarf, Shouta." Midnight pointed out.
Aizawa responded with a simple hum of acknowledgment.
Dugan, Jones, and Falsworth crashed through the windows and fired onto the Hydra soldiers. Red Skull ran away and out of the lab as the other Hydra soldiers fell down from the surprise rain of bullets. One Hydra goon popped out to fire on them, only for Rogers to grab him and sending him flying back with a toss. Dugan fired on the Hydra soldiers with his shotgun while Jones with his machine gun.
"Those are also good weapons to use for this kind of surprise attack." Snipe noted. "A machine gun for quickly mowing down enemies and a shotgun for power and accuracy against well guarded, hiding, or evading enemies."
"Rogers!" Falsworth yelled. "You might need this!" Falsworth tossed his shield lightly towards Cap, who caught it.
"I always forget that thing is like two-thirds lighter than steel." Rin admitted.
"Thanks!" Cap yelled before rushing out of the room and running for Red Skull.
"Go get him Other World Papa!" Eri cheered again.
As dozens of Hydra soldiers ran down the halls of their base, a door exploded in flames, Allied soldiers, led by Jacques and Jim rushed out of the opening and fired on a group of Hydra soldiers down a tunnel.
"And there's the rest of the Howling Commandos." Ojiro pointed out
'All except one.' Izuku thought in grief. A hand on his shoulder has the green-haired teen turn to find its owner was Todoroki's, who nodded at him, knowing what he was thinking and his understanding eyes telling him it was fine. Izuku nodded back with a smile.
"We're in!" Morita announced through a radio. "Assault team, go!"
Phillips listened the words through a radio and turned to Carter and his men standing beside him. "Move out!" He ordered. As they all rushed through the woods and towards the Hydra base.
Inside the Hydra base, the Hydra soldiers fired on and retreated from the Allied soldiers, a few Allied soldiers disintegrating from the bolt of blue energy, yet the rest of them pushed on ahead and fired on the retreating Hydra soldiers. Back outside, the Allied army rushed out of the woods and into the clearing towards the Hydra base. "Keep your spacing!" Phillips yelled as he rushed in as well, a few soldiers disintegrating in blue energy while explosions burst around them.
"Now this is a full blown war!" Kamakiri exclaimed. "It looks so awesome!"
Inside, a group of Hydra soldiers were instantly disintegrated by bolts of blue energy, the screen whirling around to see the bolt of blue energy coming from the stolen blaster held by Dugan, Falsworth and Frenchie firing as well.
"Badass." Kirishima and Tetsutetsu fist bumped in agreement.
"What they said." Izuku blinked in surprise at the voice of the 5th User, Banjo. Izuku chuckled lightly, wondering if the Vestiges are watching through his eyes while sitting on seats like theirs.
"What's so funny, Papa?" Eri asked confused.
"Oh, um." Izuku blinked in surprise and tried to come up with some excuse. "I just thought that Kirishima and Tetsutetsu are as funny and excited as always. Right?"
Eri nodded, smiling. "Mhmm." She hummed in agreement. "Wait, is Mr. Tessu like Uncle Kiri's brother?"
"Um, well kind of." Izuku stuttered. "They are good friends and their Quirks are similar. I think they see themselves as brothers in Quirk and friendship."
"Mhmm." Eri hummed before smiling brightly. "So he's Uncle Tessu!"
Izuku chuckled and smiled, finding Eri's willingness to call everyone close to her and them as her family both amusing and endearing.
Meanwhile, 'Uncle Kiri' and 'Uncle Tessu' were clinging onto each other bawling their eyes out, 'Uncle Tessu' bawling the most at his new honorary title.
Outside, Setsuna and the soldiers rushed through the field, guns blazing as explosions went off and soldiers vanished in blue puffs of energy. They rushed and fired onto the army of Hydra goons, as they backed up and ran away from the rushing army that was quickly overtaking theirs with a rain of bullets and explosions.
Izuku quickly focused his attention back onto the screen, worry flooding his senses at Setsuna's safety.
Red Skull stopped running down a corridor as explosions burst out, sending his troops flying back. The Hydra leader quickly grabbed a gun from his fallen men and fired bolts of blue energy, nearly instantly vaporizing a the first group of soldiers that rushed inside, before running back from where he ran from.
"So there was nothing wrong with the guns, only who shot them." Hawks said, picking at his teeth with a toothpick. "And seems like Skull is quiet the good shot, unfortunately."
"He's a super soldier like Midoriya too." Ryukyu pointed out. "Just as Midoriya has excellent accuracy and reaction time, Red Skull can fire a gun just as easily and efficiently too."
Three Hydra soldiers ran out of corridor and towards a hall, one of them yelling "Cut off One Head, Two More Shall-"
His chant was cut short by a shotgun blast to his chest. Phillips rocked his shotgun, a group of soldiers by his side. "Let's go find two more!" He yelled out.
"Nice comeback, DA." Mount Lady smirked.
"What do you mean? I always have great comebacks." Death Arms replied.
"Yeah, right, like the time you took down some thugs and said 'Didn't you guys know I'm a one-man ARMy'?" Mount Lady questioned while making a Death Arms impression.
"Why you, come here you little upstart!" Death Arm yelled playfully as he brought Mount Lady in a one armed hug and gave her a noogie, all the whirlpool Yuu Takeyama laughed and playfully struggled. The scene to the pros, seeing Death Arms cheeky smile and Mount Lady's own laughing smile, was like watching a big brother wrestle and having fun with his little sister.
Red Skull fired behind him towards the pursing Captain America, his shots blocked by the Captain's shield. Izuku stopped running before tossing his shield in front of him. The shield bounced off the wall to the left and towards Schmidt, blocking two doors from closing behind him.
"Okay, now That was sick." Sero smirked. "But did he know that was going to happen?
"I believe he was trying to hit Red Skull with the shield so that he would stop." Shoji replied. "The shield getting stuck in doors might have been more a fortuitous accident than anything else."
Izuku began to run only to instantly back up as a large Hydra solder came around the corner and fired on him with a flamethrower. Rogers backed up and hid behind a small corner, the Hydra soldiers continuing to fire on him with the flames, keeping him from coming out.
"He's trapped!" Pony exclaimed.
"And he doesn't have his shield to block the fire." Kinoko jumped in.
"Even with the shield, he would have a poor time trying to block the fire." Itsuka noted.
As the Hydra soldier inched closer, bullets were fired on him and his tank exploded , engulfing the man in flames before falling down dead. Izuku got out of his corner to see it was Setsuna with her sub-machine gun that did the deed.
"Nice one, Setsuna!" Pony cheered.
"Yes yes, shower me with the praise. Come on, don't be shy." Setsuna playfully joked, Itsuka and Ibarra rolling their eyes.
"Hey um, Setsuna." Setsuna looked down to the blushing and nervous Izuku. "Um t-Thanks for the help. You saved my butt there."
Upon seeing his smile, Setsuna blushed largely. "O-Oh u-um no problem, Green Bean!"
Setsuna didn't even bother looking at the girls and Itsuka and Ibarra's direction, knowing full well the reaction they had towards her.
Izuku and Setsuna walked up to each other, as soldiers passed them. "You're late." Rogers said.
"Irony for days everybody." Sero said.
"I think that's the point." Mineta said.
Setsuna stared at Izuku in silence while the man from Brooklyn walked closer to her. "Weren't you about to um..." Carter managed to breathe out.
Realization flashed in Izuku's eyes "R-Right." He stuttered as he rushed to the right, Setsuna breathing a sigh of both relief and disappointment. Izuku tore his shield out of the door and rushed in, Setsuna watching him go as the doors closed.
"Midoriya, Midoriya, you sly dog." Mirio chuckled and tapped his elbow on Izuku's side. "Who knew you had a way with the ladies."
While the rest of the guys made similar teases, even Todoroki with a smirk and nod, Izuku was busy dying of both embarrassment while also cowering under the glares and menacing stares from the girls around him.
Meanwhile, behind Setsuna's blushing state from the scene, she was cursing out a storm that would make the grumpiest of sailors look at her in aghast. 'WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE THAT CHANCE YOU IDIOT?!' Setsuna yelled at her other self. 'Now I know how Ibarra felt after her other self turned down that trip to Venice.'
In the hanger, Red Skull rushed to the ladder to enter the Valkyrie. Out the doors, a group of Allied soldiers rushed in and fired, shooting and killing the three Hydra soldiers that attempted to get in as well. Schmidt rushed towards the machine holding the Tesseract, pressed a few buttons, and, as the glowing blue cube of power was lowered into the machine, turned the valve shut before sitting on the main seat on the ship. The seat scooted him closer to the control panel, switches flipped and systems went online. One of the monitors zoomed through a map and focused on his main destination: New York City.
"Oh my god." Melissa gasped in horror. "He's going to hit New York first!"
"If they don't stop him and he lets one of those bombs powered by that cube land there-" Iida said, eyes widening in horror.
"Millions of people will die." Izuku said, eyes narrowed in anger. "Including Brooklyn, Rogers's home."
Engines roared, flames shot out, and fans began to spin as the ship began to come alive and move. Izuku ran into the hanger and saw the ship began to leave, while soldiers rushed in. He looked to see his path towards the ship bared by Hydra forces and Allied forces firing against on each other. He ran forward, blocking a bolt of energy before slamming the Hydra soldier away. He continued running, punching another Hydra goon to the ground, and then another with his shield, before jumping up a few crates and grabbing onto chain. Captain America swung and sailed above both forces, bolts of blue energy missing and sailing past him.
"He looks so cool." Kouta gasped in awe. "It's like a scene straight out of a comic book."
David Shield had to agree with the kid. He smiled as he remembered back to the I-Island incident he created. He remembered after falling out of the metal pillar after All Might and Midoriya defeated the Villain. He remembered the sunrise shining in the distance as he saw a young All Might soaring through the air with a smile only to be replaced by Midoriya smiling just as brightly.
And now here he is, seeing the same thing. In Cap's place, he saw All Might jumping over all the soldiers, only for Midoriya to take his place once more. 'He truly is your true successor, Toshi.' David thought. 'His presence, his determination, his smile, they are all just like you.' David smiled as he looked down towards Izuku and Melissa. 'I no longer have to worry about the future, for I know it's in good hands.'
He landed and began to run towards the ship, easily keeping up with it for a few moments, only for the ship to gain more speed and began to leave him in the dust.
"Dammit." Izuku cursed. "He's not fast enough to catch a plane at that speed."
Sliding to a stop and seeing the ship began to leave him behind, the roar of a car sounded, Izuku turning around to see Schmidt's car stop beside him, Carter in the back while Phillips drove.
"Wise decision, my friend." Kamui Woods nodded.
"Thanks." Death Arms smirked.
"Get in!" Phillips shouted as Izuku jumped into the car, as it sped off towards the ship.
Red Skull looked to a monitor to see Phillips, Rogers, and Carter race towards him from behind. The Hydra leader snarled and pulled forward a lever. The bunker doors to the outside opened and the ship began to move faster. Phillips looked down and pressed a button next to the steering wheel. Instantly, flames shot out from its sides and back as they zoomed forwards and neared the Valkyrie.
As they neared the Valkyrie, Izuku climbed out into the side of the car. "Keep it Steady!" He yelled.
"Wait!" Setsuna yelled, Izuku looking back to her.
Setsuna perked up and started to smile. 'Wait, yes, Yes, Yes!' She internally said.
Izuku's eyes widened, mouth opening and cheeks rising in color.
Setsuna grabbed his arm and pulled him, her lips crashing onto his own.
'YES!' Setsuna mentally roared, her smile wide and victorious, her insides practically tap dancing in joy.
Izuku's bright red face looked bright and red enough to replace Rudolph's nose. His eyes the size of dinner plates and all intelligent thought in his brain seemed to suddenly die in shock. Meanwhile, his wife agape mouth perked up at the sides, a small smile starting to form.
Girlish squeals rang through the 1-B girls, with even their more silent members, in Reiko and Yui, smiling happily. Kinoko and Pony practically hounded and hugged blushing, smiling Tokage, while Itsuka and Ibarra smiled as well.
The guys side of the room was full wolf-whistle and cheers for their resident GreanBean. Mirio patted the teen's back so hard that it nearly sent the green teen and the white haired girl on his lap to the floor. Todoroki smiled, happy for his friend while Bakugou both smirked and laughed at the ridiculous, blushing reaction of Deku. The only ones responding negatively to this action was a overly jealous Mineta and a raging Monoma, muttering something about 1-A trying to steal the 1-B girls for themselves.
The adults also chuckled, amused at the sudden action. All Might, feeling overwhelmed in fatherly pride and joy, barely managed to pull out his phone and take a picture, reminding himself to share it with Inko later. Aizawa grumbled as usual how they were acting irrational, kissing while the fate of the world was at stake, but was silently chuckling all the same. Midnight was practically moaning in delight, rubbing her arms and shivering at the 'deliciously, romantic sight in front of her'. Nezu chuckled while Hawks laughed his ass off.
Vlad King however looked mixed, both looking like was about to start bursting into tears and also a step away from murdering Izuku Midoriya with his bare hands. Seeing the happy smile that Tokage sported on her face was what ultimately led to the green-haired boy's life being spared and for the waterworks to start firing form his eyes.
Then of course were the rest of the girls and they were anything but happy. Iida was practically shivering in fear as he could feel the rage and negative aura surrounding the girls, the second son of the Iida family flinching as he saw the cracks that appeared on both Hatsumei's and Uraraka's would face the same fear as he could likewise see the sparks of energy sparking off from a smiling, yet clearly enraged Nejire. Melissa too was clearly unhappy, her eye twitching in displeasure, though she quickly noticed the similarly unhappy expressions from the rest of the girls and frowned, fully committed to getting to the bottom of this.
Eri's eyes brightened at the scene. 'Yes! She is Mama!' Eri cheered mentally. 'Or is only one of my Mamas and the others are also Mama?'
The kiss lasted quick, yet the two felt like it lasted for ages. As they pulled away, Setsuna smiled at Izuku and said "Go get him."
Whilst not directed at him, Izuku felt honor bound to keep that promise.
Izuku smiled before turning to Phillips, who looked back to the runaway. "I'm not kissing ya!" He yelled.
The group chuckled.
"Phew, thank god." Death Arms sighed before panicking. "Not that it's a bad thing it's just not my style or anything!"
"Relax, Deathy, we get it." Mount Lady patted the man's shoulder. "I'm pretty sure there's no one in this room that took it that way or even is gay or whatever."
Kyouka felt that urge to correct her, confident that she was at least bisexual given her feelings for both Izuku and some for Momo, but thought against it, not wanting to make a scene.
Rogers let out a chuckle before climbing off and scooting forwards to the front of the car, ducking under the spinning blades of the ship as they scratched his shield, while Carter and Phillips ducked as well, Red Skull watching with a snarl.
All Might hissed in worry. 'Careful, my boy.' All Might thought.
As the Valkyrie was reaching the end of the runway, Izuku reached the front of the car and jumped, soaring through the air as he landed on the landing gear of the ship.
"Yes!" Bakugou cheered. Upon seeing the looks of the group he stuttered with "Uh I mean, Finally! Shitty Ass other Deku was taking his sweet ass time to jump onto the ship at the last minute."
"Aww, come on, Bakubro, admit it." Kirishima teased, wrapping the dude in a one armed hug. "You were worried for Midobro, like the good friend you are."
"If you value your arm, you will Get It Off Of Me SHITTY HAIR!" Bakugou roared.
Izuku smiled, a sparkle of happiness and hope that Bakugou really did care for him and his class, and that the friend he had when they were so so little was coming back, if not already was.
Meanwhile, Phillips whirled the car to the side and hit the brakes, the car swerving to its side and sliding and slowing down. The car slowed down to a stop as the back four wheels teetered off the edge of the runway cliff.
"Phew." Pony gasped. "That was close."
Izuku agreed with the horned American and sighed in relief as well. This action was noticed by Setsuna, only leading to her further joy and inner victory jig.
Izuku looked back, while the landing gear retracted, Setsuna and Phillips looking on the ship sailed away with Captain American onboard.
Melissa frowned, not in jealousy, but in worry. 'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?' Melissa thought, her mind going back to the final end credit scene in Iron Man 2.
The landing gear fully retracted, Izuku inside now inside the ship he climbed up onto a catwalk and looked around him. Hanging off on mechanism were what looked like a blend between a bomb and ship, two on the corner reading Boston and Chicago, before he turned to the left and saw the one next to him read New York City.
"Jesus." Awase cursed. "Bombs for Boston, Chicago, and New York. And there's more of them."
"Those aren't just bombs." Mei spoke up.
"Huh?" Uraraka said confused. "What do you mean?"
"Take a look at the cockpit of those dreadful babies." Mei pointed.
The group blinked at the word 'cockpit' but looked nonetheless, eyes widening when they saw that there was indeed a cockpit near the center of bomb.
"Then that means-" Iida said, eyes widening.
"Those aren't just bombs." Asui said. "There are ships. Kamikaze ships."
"So that's what those pilots are for." Jurota said, frowning in distaste. "They are to fly on those bomb ships and fly them to their destinations so as to detonate them."
"But surely they must have ejection seats on them." Itsuka said. "Maybe they are only supposed to fly them near their and then eject before they reach there target and detonate them."
"They are fanatic loyalists to cult bent on world domination, led by a psychotic megalomaniac." Endeavor retorted. "If they can poison themselves to not be captured and interrogated, then they would gladly sacrifice themselves in such a task. And you are also mistaking that Schmidt would even care for their lives."
"In any case, Rogers's goal is still clear." Edgeshot said. "Not one Hydra pilot must get onto those ships."
Izuku looked at the bomb in horror. He looked up to see the cockpit of the bomb/ships, before hearing the sounds of a door opening and feet marching off. The Hydra pilots ran down the catwalk and towards their kamikaze bomb ships, the last one falling down as Izuku swung from above and slammed his fist into his side.
"Good." Ectoplasm said. "There are too many of them and to take them all out silently before they would could reach the ships, so Rogers has to take them out quickly."
The pilots looked back and pulled out knives, one of them rushing to swipe at Rogers. Cap ducked and grabbed the man's arm after his failed second attempt before kicking the second attacker to the ground. The third pilot rushed to his ship, only for Rogers to rip the knife from the soldier's grip and flung into with pinpoint accuracy onto the man's back.
"Impressive." Hawks smirked. "Looks like he's learned some great hand-to-hand combat and is accurate with more than just the shield."
He blocked more attacked from the first fighter while the second got up and ran to the nearest kamikaze ship, pressing a button as the hanger below it opened up.
"No no no no no." Nejire said in a panic. "Get him 'Zuzu! Get him!"
Cap ran to the control panel and pulled down a lever, the kamikaze ship released from its clamps before the Hydra pilot could enter, sending both the ship and later the pilot flying away flying away below.
"Ahahahaha!" Miruko laughed. "Oh that's hilarious! Sucks to be him!"
"A bit humorous, though I'm worried about that bomb that flew off as well." Ryukyu said. "Hopefully they are over the ocean at this point."
Two more Hydra goons ran in, the two rushing towards Rogers. Izuku dodged a punch from the first of them to his left before sending jab to the man's face, sending him back. He turned to the one on the right and ducked from a punch, jammed his elbow into his face and following it up with a solid haymaker. He grabbed the soldier and tossed him out, sending the man's body flailing out to the sky with a scream.
"Talk about taking out the trash." Sero joked.
"It's still a little unsettling watching Izuku casually murder people, Villains or not." Momo said.
"Guess this Izuku's a bit more hardcore than ours." Kyouka said. "Or at least, it's just him or them."
He heard the sounds of mechanisms and whirled around to see the other Hydra soldier recovered and got inside the cockpit, the hanger opening up.
"Uh oh." Kinoko said.
Izuku rushed up and jumped onto the ship, bringing out his shield and prepared to slam it down onto the cockpit. Suddenly, another Hydra rushed him and tackled him, the shield flying out his hands and landing away to the side.
"That's not good." Mirio said.
The pilot flipped a switch and clamps holding the ship released, sending the ship down with Izuku and the other Hydra soldier with it.
"No!" Melissa yelled.
"IZUKU/MIDORIYA/ DEKU!" Setsuna, All Might, Todoroki, and Bakugou yelled.
Izuku hung onto the cockpit of the ship, struggling to get the Hydra soldier off of him. The wings of the kamikaze ship opened out, the Hydra pilot looking up to see Captain America and the other Hydra pilot struggling against each other.
"Well this is new." Hawks said. "Can't say I've ever seen a guy wrestle against another guy while hanging onto a plane that was also a bomb."
The armrests of the girls, as well All Might, Todoroki, and Bakugou were gripped hard, some of them even biting their nails in worry.
He brought the joystick down and the ship followed, diving down, with Izuku and the Hydra soldier sliding down but still hanging on. The Hydra pilot brought the stick up with the ship responding by ascending. Izuku and the Hydra pilot slid down the ship's top, Izuku quickly managing to hang onto the fin behind the cockpit, whilst his adversary was not so lucky, yelling as he was quickly shredded into a bloody mist by the spinning blades of the rotors.
Izuku and Mirio quickly saw the results coming and covered Eri and Kouta's ears from the gruesome sight.
"Huh, I always wondered what would happen if a guy were sucked into a spinning rotor blade." Kaminari whispers out, his face slightly green, evidence of his queasiness.
His fellow students gulped and held back their own queasiness, those of whom were eating popcorn or candy putting them aside, their appetites lost.
Izuku pressed a button on the outside cockpit, the latch opening up. The Hydra pilot only had a moment to register what happened before Izuku grabbed the eject latch and pulled, the Hydra pilot sailing behind him as he was ejected, with Izuku climbing into the seat of the kamikaze ship himself.
"Huh, I guess there were ejection seats." Yui said.
"But now how is Midoriya going to end up getting back onto the Valkyrie?" Kirishima asked. "Dude has no ejection seat left and nothing to get him back up inside."
"Maybe he's going to sacrifice himself to slam the bomb ship into the Valkyrie and blow them all up?" Tetsutetsu whispered.
As he got himself inside and closed the cockpit, Izuku sailed the ship towards the Valkyrie. As he flew around the ship, Red Skull watched from the control seat and pressed a few buttons, lights turning on red, two gun on the top of the ship coming online and aimed and fired at Izuku.
"Oh great, he's got turrets on that thing too?" Kaminari exclaimed.
Izuku swerved the ship and dodged the bolts of energy fired at him, only one managing to land a hit, nicking a part of the fin. Rogers steadied himself behind the ship and flew straight towards it.
"Wait, what's he doing?" Mic asked confused.
"It looks like he's aiming for the open hangar from behind the ship." Midnight said.
"He's going to try and enter back into the ship through there." Aizawa clarified.
He drew closer and closer, Rogers gritting his teeth and bracing for impact, as the ship flew into the open hanger from the back, crashing and sliding past a few beams before sliding to a stop.
"Jesus, Midobro, you are giving us so many heart attacks lately." Kirishima sighed in relief.
"S-Sorry." Izuku apologized for his alternate self.
The cockpit opened and Izuku climbed out and back onto the catwalk. He reached to where his shield laid and picked it up before continuing his way.
Izuku slowly opened the door and slowly entered the cockpit of the Valkyrie, lightly stepping down the steps and towards the seat where Schmidt was. Izuku neared the seat, past the generator where the cube was, and looked at the seat to find that no one sat on it.
"Well that's not good." Sato said.
Todoroki's eyes widened in alarm. "Midoriya, Behind you!" He yelled at the screen.
As if hearing him, Izuku turned around in time to block the bolts of energy from Red Skull's gun, the blast ricocheting onto the windows, them cracking open and releasing air inside.
"Nice warning, Todoroki." Ojiro said. "I think he heard you."
Todoroki shrugged yet smiled.
"You don't give up, do you?" Red Skull questioned amused.
"Nope." Bakugou smirked.
"Not really." Todoroki agreed.
"Never does." Uraraka agreed too.
"Nope!" Captain America yelled back.
Izuku smirked confidently.
He rushed to Red Skull, blocking another bolt of energy and another, before reaching the Hydra leader and smacking the gun away from his hand and followed it up with a punch to the gut. He swiped the shield forward, Schmidt arching his back and ducking as the shield slashed through the air in front of his neck. Red Skull countered with a punch to Roger's gut, followed it up with punch to the face, and then grabbed the fellow super-soldier and tossed him to the ground, Cap's shield falling out of his hand.
"Two super-soldiers battling it out, hand-to-hand." Tetsutetsu smirked. "Awesome."
"You can say that again." Kirishima agreed.
"That is rather concerning." Iida said. "Both Midoriya and Shigaraki are super-soldiers and are equally matched in power, an advantage Midoriya has now lost. Worse is that if Schmidt gets his weapons before Rogers, one shot would be it."
"Not like unfair odds ever stopped our Deku either, why should this one be any different?" Uraraka questioned, her eyes confident in Midoriya's success.
Izuku stared at his two best friends and smiled, grateful that the harsh world he lived in threw him a bone and gifted him their friendship, and, unbeknownst to Deku, more with Uraraka.
Red Skull kicked Rogers into gut as the super-soldier got up on his hands and knees. Cap grabbed the second kick and grappled onto the Hydra leader, pushing him back to the fence. Red Skull unleashed a haymaker across America's New Hope, sending both him and himself to the ground in tumble.
"This is so nerve racking." Hagakure shook in her seat.
"Come on Midori!" Mina cheered. "Show that cherry-faced skeleton who's the better man!"
Izuku got back up and slammed a crate on a recovering Schmidt, stunning the man before grabbing him from behind, his left arm above Schmidt's left shoulder and his right coming from under his right.
"Yeah, Got Him in a chokehold!" Mirio cheered. "Keep at it, Deku!"
"Yeah! Show him who's boss!" Kouta cheered.
"It's a rather nice sight to see the kid's friends supporting him on." Gran Torino smirked.
"It really is." All Might nodded in agreement, unimaginable pride springing in the man's heart.
Schmidt choked at the hold before hurling himself around to get Rogers off. He swung himself to the right, sending the two tumbling with Izuku, unfortunately, letting go in the process.
"Dammit, Deku! You were supposed to not let go him, you idiot!" Bakugou yelled. "You're supposed to go the opposite way he was going so he wouldn't do that!"
"I'm just going to say that that's his way of encouraging people, right?" Itsuka asked.
"Mhmm." Ibarra nodded, smiling at seeing how truly supportive and caring the rather vulgar, explosive teen was underneath all his bravado. 'Truly like his other self.' She thought.
Red Skull grabbed Cap's shield and attempted to slam it onto him, only for its owner to block the attack by jabbing Skull's arm and following up with another quick one to his side.
"Hey, get your grubby mitts off of that baby, you red-skulled Nazi!" Mei yelled. "That's not for you!"
"Izuku knows just how to counter Red Skull using his shield since he's fought so much already with it." Momo said, smiling. "He's attacking all the weak points that are especially there given Schmidt's unfamiliarity with the shield."
Red Skull quickly turned back and slammed it into Izuku, sending the Japanese-American by the generator before attempting to slam the shield once again onto him. Cap blocked by crossing arms and bracing the attack, before slamming his head onto the Hydra leader's red skull, stunning the man. He ripped the shield from the leader of Hydra and rushed at him, slamming Schmidt into the control panel, it sparking at the crash. Izuku fell to the ground as the Valkyrie began to descend towards the ground.
"Oh shit!" Mineta exclaimed. "He hit the control panel! They're nose diving!"
"That was rather unwise." Endeavor criticized. "While the circumstances are understandable, swinging wildly at an opponent without a clear understanding of your surroundings can lead to detrimental results."
"Agreed." Edgeshot said. "For instance, knocking a Villain into another room of a building you no knowledge of could lead to them getting the upper hand by either running away or exploiting you lack of knowledge and counterattacking. It's best to keep the enemy away from either vital components or items and to keep them in view."
Izuku quickly write down the advice and criticism of the two top pros quickly, thankful for the honest critic to not make such mistakes himself.
Izuku flew up and slammed onto the top of the roof, Skull flying upwards to slam into him, the two super-soldiers struggling and resuming their fight against each other, while the ship continued to descend. Red Skull kicked Izuku away before climbing over towards the control panel. He flipped a couple of switches and Izuku was sent sprawling through the room as the ship righted itself and began to fly normally once more.
"Well at least he saved the two of them from certain fiery death." Kaminari said.
"He was mostly trying to save himself, you idiot." Bakugou corrected. "Plus that ship's still got a whole collection of bomb ships that he's trying to drop on a bunch of cities."
Red Skull steadied himself by the seat, pulled out his handgun and looked around for Captain America, who was hiding from Schmidt. "You could have the power of the gods!" He yelled as he fired on Izuku, the Star-Spangled Man ducking and running from the blast.
"Looks like your worries came to life Iida." Asui croaked worryingly.
"It appears so." Iida frowned. "But, I'm sure Midoriya will get the shield and win. I'm sure of it."
"Yet you wear a flag on your chest and think you fight a battle of nations!" He fired again at Izuku who once more ducked out of the way.
Setsuna flinched at the blast, gripping onto her seat in worry. She get a hand on hers and turned, surprised to see it was the comforting hand of Ibarra on hers. Setsuna smiled in appreciation.
"I have seen the future, Captain!" Skull fired again at Cap who ducked. "There are no Flags!"
"Except yours, I'm guessing?" Miruko raised her eyebrow.
"Not my future!" Rogers shouted as he dove towards his shield.
'Come on. Come on.' Izuku mentally cheered for himself. 'Stop this here and now!'
Skull fired, missing by a hair as Izuku landed in a roll and picked up his shield in time to block another blast. He hurled the shield with a yell, it slamming straight onto Red Skull's chest, sending the Hydra leader flying and slamming into the generator. As he crashed onto it, it sparked and flared in energy, the cube rising and shooting out flares of blue energy everywhere, much to Cap's shock and surprise.
"Oh shit!" Kaminari yelled. "What happened?! Did he break it?!"
"He broke the generator." Melissa explained, wide eyed at the display of power. "The force of that attack must have broke something in the containment and must have caused the cube to go haywire."
"W-What have you done?" He questioned as he looked to the cube. "No!" He reached over and grabbed it, the Tesseract in the palm of his hand.
A shiver ran through Izuku's spine and his eyes in alarm. "Wait! DON'T!"
Before the group could ask why Izuku was so worried the movie showed it for them.
As he held it, the Tesseract hummed and glowed in energy, firing bolts and flares of blue energy outward. Above Red Skull, a blue portal opened up and showed the cosmos of space before him and the Captain.
"Amazing." David gasped, eye alight in wonder.
"You can gawk at it another time, Shield." Endeavor snapped the inventor from his daze. "Schmidt has the Tesseract and with that power, it's looking bad."
"Wait." Hawks's eyes narrowed and pointed at the screen. "Something's not right. Look."
Red Skull looked at the cube with a mad smile, only for it to drop to a frown as he saw his hand become consumed it with blue energy as it spread throughout his arm and body.
"It's backfiring on him!" Mount Lady explained.
All Might's eyes widened and started to stand up to try to help, but in vain.
Izuku watched frozen and ducked as the energy surrounded the Red Skull as he screamed in pain before a massive flash of blue energy consumed his body, a massive pillar of blue light shooting out across the cosmos, and the Red Skull with it. A pillar of light vanished with a blue shockwave, Izuku peering from his shoulders to see that Schmidt was gone and all that remained was the Cube.
"H-He's gone." Momo gasped.
"What the hell just happened?" Kyouka scratched her head in confusion.
"It appears that this Tesseract has some form of unlimited energy that it appears to have created a form of wormhole into space." Nezu explained.
Power Loader looked to the rodent Principal. "That display of space. It was real?!" Power Loader questioned.
"Makes sense." Hawks jumped in. "Just when he got fully consumed into that light, I'm pretty sure I saw his silhouette go up that pillar of blue energy."
"But if that's the case, where in space did he go?" Ryukyu asked.
"It's unlikely that in the vast reaches of space he would have landed on a planet that could sustain life." Edgeshot pointed out.
"Good riddance!" Miruko exclaimed. "Fucker tried to play God and tried to plot up millions on people. True bigger the ego, the harder they fall! World's better off without him trying to blow it up!"
Izuku frowned. He knew that left alive and around, Schmidt would likely cause millions of deaths. He could break through any prison with both his strength and intellect and, if he was anything like his counterpart here, he was dangerously tenacious.
'But even still...' Izuku frowned in thought, his thoughts back to the deaths of Erskine and Todoroki. 'Despite all he's done...I should have saved him. If not for trying to change him and save him from himself, then to face justice for his crimes.'
Izuku walked up and grabbed his shield, picking it up as he saw the Cube burn through the grates and floor, before flying off to the earth below.
"And there it goes." Mina said.
"Shouldn't he have grabbed it?" Kamakiri asked. "I think the right hands, with that kind of power, it could change the world for the better."
"That thing just burned through solid metal. You want Midoriya to lose a hand?" Honenuki asked. "Or worse get sent to wherever Red Skull went?"
"Whether he gets it or not, is not important." Jurota interrupted. "In the end, it's still in the possession of Mr. Aizawa in the present."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that." Pony said.
Izuku rushed to the cockpit and sat down on the seat, removing his helmet, his green hair flowing around from the wind, and placing the shield down. He grabbed the controls before looking to one of the monitors, looking to see his destination was still towards New York City and his current position was out in the middle of the North Sea. Izuku looked out before him to see the clouds below him, flying through the sky, panting and his alight with realization.
"Wait, I know that look in his eye." Uraraka pointed out, her face scrunching up in worry. "What is he planning to do?"
"The situation is rather precarious." Iida said, correcting his glasses in place. "He's still on course for New York with a plane full of bombs."
The scene changed back to the Hydra base, Setsuna, Phillips, and the Howling Commandoes inside a radio control tower inside the hangar, all of them waiting for news.
"Oh look they are alright." Kinoko pointed out. "Does that mean they won?"
"Looks like it." Reiko nodded. "If they are standing alright inside of the Hydra base just fine, and with no gunfire sounding, it very likely they won the battle."
Izuku sighed in relief that Setsuna was alright.
Suddenly, the radio came alive and Izuku voice sounded off "Come in. This is Captain Rogers. Do you read me?"
Setsuna and Phillips looked to the radio, Setsuna rushing to where Morita was who said "Captain Rogers, what is your-" before Setsuna interrupted. "Izuku, is that you? Are you alright?" She asked worryingly.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Itsuka teased.
"Shut up!" Setsuna growled before turning back to the s screen.
"Setsuna!" Izuku said. "Schmidt's dead. I-I think."
"Unlikely." Aizawa said. "However, unlikely to cause anymore trouble wherever he is now."
"What about the plane?" Setsuna asked through the radio as Izuku looked down at the controls.
"That's a little bit tougher to explain." Rogers replied.
"The controls." Mei said, eyes widened in alarm. "They're practically toast. That is Really bad."
Bakugou's eyes widened too, dread and worry swirling in his gut, practically telling him that things aren't good.
"Give me your coordinates." Setsuna asked. "I'll find you a safe landing site."
Izuku looked at the controls. "There's not going to be a safe landing." He said, looking at the monitor that showed all of the remaining 6 bombs active. "But I can try and force it down."
"Oh no!" Nejire yelled, hands over mouth, tears staring to well up in her eyes. "They're all active!"
"I-Izuku is right." Momo choked up, tears beginning to well up in her eyes, a hand clenching over her heart. "If he tries to land, he could set off the explosives."
Phillips gestured to Morita and the rest to get out along with him, leaving Setsuna talking with Izuku. "I-I'll get Masaru on the line." She replied. "He'll know what to do."
"There's not enough time." Izuku announced. "This thing's moving too fast and its heading for New York." Izuku looked out in front of him and paused for a second. "I got to put her in the water."
What once filled Setsuna's eyes with relief and joy when Red Skull vanished was replaced with true horror and All Might and Bakugou were not too far behind in her reaction. Izuku was silent, hair shadowing his eyes and lips in a frown.
"No no no no no!" Mina protested, tears welling up in her eyes. "Please don't! If he does that he could..."
Hagakure quickly hugged her friend as she started to choke up, herself feeling tears starting to come out.
"P-Please, don't do this." Setsuna begged, her voice cracking in worry and dread. "W-We have time. We can work it out."
"Right now I'm in the middle of nowhere." Izuku said. "If I wait any longer, a lot of people are gonna die."
"W-Why doesn't Deku just jumped out and let it hit the water and save himself?!" Uraraka questioned with tears forming, Asui holding onto her, her wide eyes now saddened and tearing.
Aizawa let out of sigh, but not one of annoyance but rather one emotion that the students never thought he would show: sadness. "It's clear you all need further environmental awareness training." Aizawa said.
"Huh?" Kaminari questioned.
"Mr. Mirio, may you please cover Miss Eri and Mr. Kouta's ears." Nezu ordered.
After some reluctance from the two, mostly from Kouta, Mirio covered Eri and Kouta's ears with some noise canceling headphones from Momo.
"Look at the situation." Aizawa said, forcing himself to look at the screen. "Midoriya has no parachute on him. If he were to jump at any height before he could let the plane down into the water, the impact would likely either render him unconscious or kill him. Given his super-soldier biology, the former would likely happen, but he would be unconscious in the water in the middle of nowhere with no form of rescue in sight."
Mic looked as Aizawa's fists were clenched so tight they were nearly blank white. Mic sighed in sadness, knowing fully what is going to happen.
"He is also in the middle of North Sea." Endeavor jumped in, eyes looking down and with a look of sad acceptance. "Chances are likely that if he were also to jump then he would collide with a large ice mass and likely die on impact. Even if he had the shield on him, the impact would still lead to some broken bones in the middle of the North Sea with no help in sight as well."
Todoroki gritted his teeth, steam, both hot and cold, sizzling out from his sides in anger.
Kirishima's fists were clenched tightly, teeth gritted so hard Tetsutetsu could hear them grinding. The look on the hardhead teen was clearly one of anger and denial, anger at being so uselessness and unable to help and denial that Midoriya was going to...
"And should he also land safely in the water, Mr. Midoriya would be still alone in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, and based on the destroyed controls, likely with no way of tracking him or finding him in the middle of nowhere." Nezu joined in, his usually cheery voice now hollow and low. "Even if he would land safely, he would likely die from hypothermia and freeze to death if not drown if the ship were to capsize and overrun with water given the open hangar at the back and the cracked window."
What was left of All Might's armrests were shattered to pieces, a look of complete and total despair, anger, and pain in the former hero's face. Gran Torino sighed sadly and lowered his head, trying to keep in his anger.
"Dammit." Kaminari cursed quietly, looking both enraged and in despair at the assured death of his friend. Aoyama lowered his head in silence while tears poked out his eyes.
Mina and Hagakure both choked up into tears, Yui comforting Toru while Kyouka did the same for Mina, the purple-haired rocker girl gritting her teeth and tears trialing down her cheeks.
"And even if he were to land on a mass of ice big enough without setting off those bombs, he's still trapped with nowhere to go, no winter coat to keep him warm, and would still likely freeze to death before help was ever anywhere close." Hawks jumped in, his face serious and professional, yet if you looked at his hand, you would see him breaking his toothpick into pieces. "And that's if he doesn't actually set off those bombs on impact with the ground or if they don't blow up after a while."
Iida slammed his fist into his armrest, eyes shut closed and teeth gritting in anger, while tears flowed down Mei's eyes, whimpering in her seat. Uraraka too broke into tears and gripped tightly onto Asui, who wasn't doing better herself.
Momo's face was covered by her hands but the whimpers and tears escaping through her finger were easy to tell what kind of state she was in. Todoroki was napped out of his anger at this and sighed before bringing the crying girl into a comforting hug.
"And even if Midoriya wouldn't suffer a slow death by freezing to death, he has no fresh water to drink or food to eat and would die of hunger or starvation." Edgeshot said, closing his eyes in respect and acceptance. "The only way for Midoriya to safely rid the world of the bombs and die a quick death, is to crash the plane quickly into the ice and make it swift."
Setsuna's damn broke and the tears started pouring out her eyes. She tried wiping them away and failed miserably before falling into sobs and whimpers, with only Itsuka and Ibarra thereto comfort her.
"Fucking. Dammit." Bakugou cursed, teeth snarling in pure anger, slamming his fist into the armrest again and again. And while his eyes were shadowed by his hair, a quick look at his enraged eye showed the glimpse of a tear in his eye.
Nejire practically burst into tears at every single possibility, Tamaki and Mirio hugging the wrecked member of the Big Three. Eri and Kouta look confused and worried and looked to Izuku, who was comforting a sobbing Melissa, the green-haired teen's eyes hard and emotionless.
While the pros lowered their heads in silence and the students were either shaking their heads in denial and anger or crying, Izuku's voice said aloud "Guys." The group turned to look at the teen himself who looked at them all with a sad, yet accepting smile on his face. "It's alright. If sacrificing, to get rid of those bombs means sacrificing himself, then so be it. It's his choice. My choice."
"Papa?" Eri questioned, she and Kouta removing their headphones and looked at him in worry and confusion.
Izuku only smiled sadly at them and motioned for them to him. The two jumped onto his lap and with his remaining arm, the other still hugging Melissa, wrapped it around the two kids and bringing them into tight hug.
The Valkyrie sailed through the sky, Izuku closed his eyes and breathed deeply before sighing. "Set," Izuku said, opening his eyes. "This is my choice."
Setsuna whimpered, the name piercing her heart with sheer pain. It didn't help that his words were the same as his counterpart said just a moment ago.
Setsuna lip quivered, tears beginning to pool around her eyes.
In that moment, Izuku couldn't help but hate himself more than ever.
Izuku brought out his compass, placing it on side, looking at Setsuna's picture.
"Stop! Please just stop it!" Mina whimpered gripping her heart in pain. Kyouka tightened her hug around the pink-haired girl.
Iida lashed his arms out and brought Mei, Uraraka, and Asui into a hug, the three not complaining in the slightest.
Izuku breathe in deep before pulled the controls down, the ship sailing downward to the North Sea below.
All Might looked away from the screen, unable to bear to see what would happen next. Todoroki tightened his hug on Momo, moving himself and Momo to keep them from watching the screens tears falling down onto Momo's raven hair from the scarred teen's eye.
"Deku?" Kouta asked, eyes wide in worry and tears.
"Don't look at the screen." Izuku ordered and smiled at them. "Just look at me, Everything...Everything's going to be just fine."
"P-Promise." Eri whimpered out.
"Promise." Izuku promised.
Izuku looked back at the picture of Setsuna. "Set?" Izuku said.
"I'm here." Setsuna's voice whimpered out from the radio.
Izuku felt the disembodied hand nudge at his hand. Izuku was quick to wrap his hand over Setsuna's, squeezing it tight as she did too.
Rogers watched as the clouds parted to see the ice and water below. "I'm gonna need a Raincheck on that dance." Izuku said.
"Y-You cheeky fucker!" Bakugou growled and turned away from the screen, hand over his eyes, a sad chuckle escaping his mouth.
Setsuna sniffled, tears trailing down her eyes. "Alright." She breathed out. She paused for a moment in thought. "A week, next Saturday. At the Stork Club."
"You got it." Izuku nodded, a tear of his own leaked out of his eye.
Izuku's pink finger nudged Setsuna's. The greenette chuckled softly and sadly before reciprocating, wrapping her pinkie finger over his.
"8:00 on the dot." Carter's voice said again, the ice growing closer and closer. "Don't you dare be late. Understood?"
"You know I still don't know how to dance." Izuku said, a small smirk on his face.
A small, sad smile found its way onto Setsuna's face, unbeknownst to her that the same smile was on Izuku's face.
'Neither do I.' Setsuna thought sadly, remembering the Cultural Festival and remembering hearing about some member of Class 1-A dancing during the performance. 'Maybe you can teach me instead.'
"I'll show you how." Setsuna offered. "Just be there."
"We'll have the band play something slow." Izuku offered, the ice right in front of him.
Izuku brought the kids and Melissa closer, squeezing Setsuna's hand as it death gripped onto his own.
"I'd hate to step on you-" Izuku's voice cut off, Setsuna's closed eyes opened and looked to the radio with tearful eyes as the static filled the room.
"Izuku?" Setsuna said, her lips quivering and tears began to pool and run down her cheeks. "Izuku?" She whimpered out.
Phillips, overhearing from outside the room, lowered his head in silence.
"Izuku?!" Setsuna sobbed, tears flowing down like waterfalls.
Setsuna choked up a sob and buried her face onto Ibarra's shoulder, rubbing the girls back slowly with a sad look on her face.
Somber music played, Phillips walked away, leaving behind a room full of static and Setsuna's painfilled sobs and cries.
The silence that seemed to hung through the air was broken occasionally by the whimpers and sobs of the group. The guys looked positively distraught. Most of the guys of 1-B held their heads down in silence and respect, even Monoma was for once silent, unwilling and not wanting to speak ill of the dead. The 1-A guys took it hard. Aoyama wrapped his arms around his legs and hid his head and whimpered. A hand covered Sato's eyes but tears could be seen pouring out as the tough, sweet man shook. Shoji slumped in his seat in silence and sadness while Koda whimpered into his hands and Tokoyami brushed the top of Dark Shadow's whimpering head, his own lowered in respect and sadness as well. Ojiro lowered his head onto his hands, his elbows resting on his legs as he sighed in sadness.
Tetsutetsu looked over Kirishima as the teen covered his eyes with his shoulders, trying and failing to hide his own tears. Tetsutetsu sighed sadly and clasped a comforting hand on Kirishima's shoulder, one Kirishima gripped onto in thanks with his free hand. Kaminari cursed silently while slamming his fists into his armrests, lighting sparking off of him and tears falling down his eyes. Sero and Mineta hung their heads down in sadness.
Mirio and Tamaki both held sad frowns as they comforted the wailing Nejire, her wails muffled by Mirio's shirt. Mirio knew that their Izuku was alive and well right beside him, but seeing another Izuku falling to his death in sacrifice, the mental image of that conjured in his mind of what happened to the smiling, bright boy he saw as a little brother, brought the teen to tears himself.
The pros were wallowing in their silence at the sad fate of Izuku Rogers. The Pussycats were both sad and lowered their heads in respect for the fallen hero and were worried over how Kouta would take his idol's other version suddenly dying like his parents. Death Arms sighed sadly before sitting up straight and saluting Izuku Rogers. Mount Lady and Kamui smiled at the gesture of respect the large hero gave to to soldier his other self fought with. Fat Gum patted his chest, where his heart would be, with his fist and nodded in respect while Ryukyu and Edgeshot lowered their heads too in respect. Miruko growled in anger but quickly calmed herself and sighed before following Fat Gum's example and patting her chest with her fist.
Endeavor lowered his head in respect, a gesture mirrored by Hawks and Gran Torino. David sighed sadly, slumping in his seat and looking over at his daughter as she was whimpering and crying. The man wanted to curse Rogers for leading his daughter into this state, but couldn't for the life of him.
The teachers lowered heads in unison over the death of a True Hero and their student from another world. Midnight and Mic looked over at Aizawa to see the man's silent bravado and emotionless façade was cracking with the sad frown on his face, his eyes hidden by his moppy black hair. Nezu stood up on his seat and bowed towards the screen, showing respect to his student from another life. As for Vlad King, once more he was torn from hating the man for bringing his student to tears or showing him respect. He looked over to see the crying Setsuna comforted by Itsuka and Kendo, and noticed she was missing a hand. He sighed and smiled sadly knowing where it likely was. He nodded in respect, both to Rogers for making the ultimate sacrifice and Midoriya for comforting his student.
Tsukauchi lowered his cap once more and placed it over his heart in respect, looking towards All Might and sighing seeing the man's state. If the gaunt-looking man could look more lifeless, it was surely now. Body slumped, hands over face, a mixture of growls and sobs, that was the state of the former Symbol of Peace. The things on his mind were reassuring himself that his protégé is still alive down below, sending unwavering respect towards Rogers, and wondering how he could ever tell this to Inko.
The wind howled over the ice of the North Sea, the ice seen torn with pieces of the ship torn off and the ship itself halfway into the ice. The ice shifted and the ship moved as it sunk deeper and deeper into the freezing waters till it all that was left above was a piece of the wing.
For once, Bakugou didn't shake or growl in rage or with fury, or snarl and create an explosion in a fit of rage, instead the explosive teen was silent. Slumped in his seat, he witnessed the wreckage and lowered his head. A tear escaped from his eye as the words he said to Deku that fateful day ringing in his ears, taunting him like they willed this into existence. The wave of guilt he knew made no sense, the real Deku was still alive, he knew that he was just wallowing in grief, wanting to pin the blame on someone, and yet it still hit all the same and made him want to puke in disgust of himself.
Iida could feel the tears of the three girls run down his shoulders, his own running down his cheeks. He refused to look at that screen, unsure and unwilling to see if Izuku's battered and bloody body was there, he didn't wish to add another body to look at in his nightmares. He already woke up in the den of night from the sight of his brother's broken body at the hospital, he couldn't bear to have the one of his best friend, other world or not, to add to that list.
Todoroki still held the sobbing Momo as he stared at the wreckage with somber eyes. 'Until the end of the line, huh?' Todoroki thought somberly. 'Why did you have to make that stupid promise? If this is what would have happened, I would have taken the fall myself and let Midoriya live. It would be better than this. Anything would better than this.'
All the girls were but heaps of tears and sorrow, Setsuna especially, practically hanging onto Ibarra and the sensation of Izuku's hand on hers like a lifeline. In that moment, all the girls knew that extent of their feelings for the green-haired teen and rather than tear at each other in jealousy and possessiveness, they accepted it, and knew that they would have a meeting after this, one where they can wallow in grief together.
With every cry, sniffle, and sob, Izuku's guilt and self-hatred grew. Feeling the sobs of Melissa and the tight grip of a grieving Setsuna made him want to punch himself with his Quirk until he felt he deserve enough. Feeling the whimpers of Eri and Kouta, made him want to shout and yell every foul curse imaginable onto whatever God or gods exist until they smite him.
The pain and sadness that would arise from his friends, Eri, Kouta, All Might, and his mother was what kept him tethered to his seat and the curses unspoken.
The light of the sun overtook the screen, till it faded and revealed the cheers and crowds of London, waving their banners as planes flew overhead. A man hugged the woman next to him, a newspaper in his hand with the headline: VE Day!
A series of small smiles sprouted back into the group at the cheers and joy in the people's faces. Izuku's smile was the brightest, happy in knowing that his counterpart's sacrifice helped save their lives from the grips of a madman and help lead to this day.
While the people hugged and celebrated, inside a pub, the rest of the Howling Commandoes tipped their glasses. "To Barnes. To the Captain." The men nodded and drank, their heads lowered in somber silence while others celebrated.
Izuku, All Might, and Todoroki smiled at that, the latter unaware of the five's connection to Izuku and One For All, and the ironic turn of the counterparts to the past users of OFA mourning over the death of its current user.
A submarine shone a light down into the depths of the ocean and raised its clawed hand towards a lone glowing object at the bottom: The Cube.
"So that's how the found the Tesseract." David said. "They must be near or on the North Sea at this point."
"Sir?" Masaru Stark, on a ship, looked towards the man's voice and walked to him. He looked at the monitor to find the Cube in the submarine-like vessel's grasp.
"Huh, your pops had the thing the whole time, Bakubro." Kirishima said. "You think he figured out that new element because of this cube thing?"
Bakugou blinked, the same thought now wondering through his head.
"Take us to the next grid point." Masaru ordered the captain.
"But there's no trace of wreckage." The man from before said. "And the energy signal stops here."
"Just keep looking." Masaru whispered out, looking forwards, determined to find his friend.
"That *sniff* makes sense." Momo sniffled and wiped her eyes of tears. "The half-made model of that disk was made after Izuku's shield, because Masaru was friends with Izuku. He must have started creating it in honor of him."
Thinking back to it, Mic remembered the revere and awe his counterpart had to the half-made disk, wondering now if his other self was perhaps some fanboy of Captain America. 'Now that would be quite the ironic turn.' Mic thought.
In the underground base, Phillips walked through as people began to pack up and file things away. He reached Setsuna, the two looking at each other before Phillips handed her a folder and walked away.
Another wave of guilt hit Izuku upon seeing the clear sadness in Carter's eyes, thanks to him.
Setsuna looked at and grabbed the folder, Izuku Rogers's folder. She looked at the classified folder and opened it, finding a series of paper and information on hi, and, to her silent gasp and tearful eyes, the edge of a picture. She breathed in deeply, steeling herself, and grabbed and pulled out the rest of the picture, a picture of Izuku when he was still skinny.
"Aww." The girls couldn't help but coo at the picture and gesture from Phillips, and the image of the skinny, yet cute Izuku.
Mount Lady tapped Death Arms shoulder and gave the man a thumbs up, while Kamui Woods gave him a nod in respect for the gesture.
She gazed and held onto the picture carefully and lovingly at the face of, not the Symbol or soldier he became and was, but the man he always was and loved.
Setsuna smiled warmly, tears once more leaking from her eyes, letting out a sad chuckle, remembering how cute he looked while he was skinny.
Izuku smiled as well, seeing himself skinny once more, remembering all the past times he had with his mother before U.A., the day he met All Might, the months of training to receive One For All, and the day of the Entrance Exam where he was passed this Quirk and responsibility. 'Like All Might and his Master before him said, always remember my origin.' Izuku thought to himself. 'Take pride in that I wasn't born with power, but earned it.'
The scene shifted, with triumphant music, as a young boy held a trash lid in his arms, the lid painted in the colors of Captain America's shield. He yelled for his group of friends to follow him as they ran through the streets and sidewalks, and past the shop where he was reborn.
All Might smiled warmly and proudly, seeing children idolize and pretend to be his successor much like kids did with him, including his protégé. 'I can't wait to see the day when I'm old and feeding the birds with Inko and I see a group of boys and girls running by wearing Deku hoodies.' All Might thought.
Izuku and Bakugou smiled too, remembering with fondness when they were little and playing Heroes, Deku and Bakugou wearing their All Might hoodies and smiling like their idol and Hero.
The screen cut to black, and before the group could think it was the end, the sound of the wind howling and indistinct radio chatter filled the screen once more.
The radio became more distinct as Izuku's green eyes slowly opened up.
"HE'S ALIVE?!/ YES!" Were the two major exclamations that resounded in the gym/makeshift theater.
All Might gawked in surprise and confusion only to look at a smirking Nezu and smack his forehead. 'He knew all along. Goddammit, how didn't I see it?' All Might grumbled mentally.
The other teachers and pros likewise were confused at Rogers being alive, only for them to quickly realize and groan at overlooking the beginning of the video.
The students smiled in joy to see that their friend wasn't in fact dead, most especially Setsuna, the girls, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Mirio. Eri and Kouta cheered and immediately hug-attacked Deku proclaiming over and over that he was alright, much to Midoriya's unsurprised face.
Momo noticed the look on his face and looked confused. "Izuku, you aren't surprised?" Momo questioned.
Izuku suddenly became incredibly nervous. "Oh, um yeah." Izuku stuttered out.
"Wait, you knew this would happen?!" Uraraka questioned in surprise.
"W-wait, y-you guys didn't?" Izuku questioned back, becoming all the more nervous as he realized his mistake. "I thought it was obvious?"
Setsuna wore a blank expression, her eye starting to twitch.
"Obvious? Obvious?!" Kyouka yelled, her eyes glaring at him. "How is you surviving from what we thought was your death surprising?!"
"It was the the beginning of the video, remember?" Melissa spoke up.
"Wait, Melissa, you knew as well?" Iida asked surprised.
"Yes, I did, right after I remembered the beginning of the video and the end credits scene of Iron Man 2." Melissa explained.
Momo's eyes lit up in realization. "They found the Valkyrie in the ice in the beginning!" Momo groaned as she facepalmed. "How did I forget?"
"Well in fairness, there was a lot going on in the movie." Nejire said. "I also kind of forgot about the beginning where they found the ship."
"Now that I think about it, the Iron Man 2 end credit scene showed those guys melting a block of ice and said that guy in it was still alive." Asui jumped in. "And they also had Izuku's shield next to them."
"Oh my god, the ending was right in front of us and we missed it!" Kaminari groaned. "God, I'm such an idiot!"
"Only now you realize it?" Kyouka questioned.
"Screw you!" Kaminari yelled.
"Wait a minute." Mina interrupted and looked to Melissa. "If you knew the whole time, why were hugging and crying when you knew he wouldn't die?"
"Well why wouldn't I still be crying over my cru-I mean-my friend being hurt and nearly dying?" Melissa protester, her cheeks flushed from the near slip.
The girls narrowed their eyes, catching that slip but decided to let it go for now and focus their anger currently in their idiot of a crush.
The disembodied hand Izuku held started to shake and he knew by then he was screwed. "You." Izuku shivered as he heard Setsuna's head behind him. Izuku turned fearfully, to see the girl's eyes hidden by her hair but could see from her frown that she was anything but happy. "You inconsiderate," The head floated to in front of him. "Stupid," More of her body parts came flying in from above. "Oblivious," They started reconnecting. "Dense," The hand flew from his own and reattached itself to a furious Setsuna. "Idiot!"
The venom of her tone was enough that it made the guys scoot away and hide from the enraged girl.
"You knew the Whole Time that you were going to get turned into a popsicle and survive, And You Didn't Tell Me?!" Setsuna roared in anger. "Even after other you and me shared that Kiss you still decided not to tell me that you were going to do something where you could have Died and yet you would be ok?! In what Universe did you think that letting Me and everyone else Mourn your not-actual death without telling us you would be alright is a Good Idea?!
Izuku flinched. "I-I thought that you guys already knew?" Izuku said, more as a question than a statement.
Setsuna's answer was a slap across Izuku's face and stomping back up to her seat.
The whole room was silent at the shock of what the angry greenette did. The girls at anytime would have defended Izuku or went to see if he was ok, but after he didn't tell them that his other self was going to be ok and let them suffer like that, they felt the slap was a fitting punishment. The guys decided wisely to stay out of this situation, unwilling to cross an angry Setsuna or try to stand up for Izuku after they themselves felt a little ticked off for Izuku's choice to not tell them, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Iida especially.
To Izuku, he took the slap in silence, believing that he deserved it after his mistake. He looked down to Eri who pouted angrily, yet cutely, at him. "Sorry Papa, but you deserved that for not telling me too." Eri said.
Izuku sighed and nodded his head.
"Don't judge Mister Midoriya so much now students." Nezu spoke up. "After all I knew the truth as well."
The students whirled over to see the rodent principal and some of the teachers. "You guys knew too?!" Mina questioned.
"Nope." Mic said. "Most of us were just as clueless as you little listeners."
"However, that doesn't mean that you aren't any better for not catching it either." Aizawa said, narrowing his eyes at his class.
"I kept it secret so that you students may witness the consequences and difficult choices one must make to save the lives of others like a Hero." Nezu said. "If you were to know of results, the impact of that would be lessened because you knew that Mister Midoriya's counterpart would survive."
"Rather than blame and yell at Midoirya for not telling you all, take that pain and experience, as well as Todoroki's death, to know the full measure of risk and sacrifice that being a Hero calls for." Aizawa said.
Murmurs of apologies came out of the students towards Izuku would simply took the apologies with the classic Midoriya response of 'There's no need to apologize.' Or 'It's alright.'
"Just an absolute glorious day in Ebbets Field." The radio droned on as the screen showed Izuku look around and rolled up from the bed he laid in, looking out the window to see the buildings outside and the sounds of a busy city life. He gasped and looked around in confusion, now wearing a white, formfitting shirt with an eagle on it and a pair of khakis, before hearing the radio again "Swung on. A line to the right. And it gets past Rizzo. Three runs will score. Reiser heads to third. Durocher's going to wave him in." Izuku stared at the radio in confusion.
"Ebbets Field?" Sen questioned. "Is that some baseball field or something?"
Actually it is." David responded. "It was a popular Major League Baseball stadium back in the 1910s to 50s in Brooklyn. It also was home to a few football teams until it was deconstructed in 1960s."
"Dad's a bit of a baseball fan." Melissa jumped in. "It's his third passion behind Uncle Might and Support Items."
"So does that mean that they found Midoriya somewhere before it was destroyed?" Asui asked. "It would have to be to still be playing on the radio."
"Maybe." Izuku muttered, a feeling in the back of his head telling him that something wasn't adding up.
The door opened up and Izuku turned to see a woman come in, one who looked like Setsuna, but to Izuku it was glaringly obvious she wasn't.
"Well isn't that a giant red flag?" Kaminari sarcastically asked.
Izuku and Setsuna narrowed their eyes in suspicion.
"Good morning." The fake Setsuna greeted him. "Or should I say afternoon?"
"Where am I?" Izuku questioned.
"You're in a recovery room in New York City." The imposter Setsuna said.
"The Dodger take the lead 8-4. Oh, Dodgers!" Izuku whirled back to the radio as it continued on. His face's confusions quickly turned to realization, and then to turned to anger.
His gaze went back to the fake Setsuna. "Where am I really?" Izuku asked angrily.
"He's caught onto it." Awase said.
"I'm afraid I don't understand." The not-Setsuna said, trying to smile.
"The game." Izuku clarified. "Its from May 1941. I know, 'cause I was there."
"Uh oh." Pony said. "He's figured it out."
Fake Setsuna's smile disappeared as Izuku slowly stood from his bed and stalked towards her. "Now, I'm going to ask you again." He said as he drew closer. "Where am I?"
The fake Setsuna pressed a button her device. "Captain Rogers-" She tried to say.
"Who are you?!" Izuku yelled, as two men in security outfits entered the room.
In the span of a second, the two guards flew out of the room, the walls cracking to reveal that he wasn't in an apartment but a fake one inside a large room, the background noise and buildings from outside a fake as well. Izuku looked around in confusion before continuing to run, ignoring the calls from the fake Setsuna. "Captain Rogers, wait! All agents, code 13!"
"What is going on?" Mina questioned confused.
"That kind of technology they have, it shouldn't be possible back the 19..." Melissa's eyes widened in realization.
Izuku ran out into the middle of a building as the fake Setsuna's voice announced through the intercom. Izuku quickly run, pushing past agents trying to stop him. Izuku quickly found himself outside, running into the middle of a street, a yellow, modern taxi honking at him. He looked around confused before running down the street, ignoring the gaze of civilians around him.
Izuku's eyes widened in horrifying realization, just as the rest of the group started catching on with similar reactions.
"It's...it's the present." Momo gasped out. "It's the present of the 2000's."
"B-But that would mean that-" Uraraka gasped out in shock.
Izuku slowed down as he took in his surroundings, looking on in confusion and panic at the bustling life of modern New York City, full of electronic billboards, moderns cars, and people wearing different clothing.
Setsuna's face paled at the sight. 'But if he's the in the 2000's or 2010's then...if we were in the 1940's then...oh god.' Setsuna thought.
Rogers heard the sound of cars honking and turned to see a group of black cars stop in front of him. Before he began to run, a voice called out to him from behind. "At ease, soldier!"
Aizawa perked up at the similar voice.
Izuku looked behind him to come face to face with Shouta Aizawa, and all his eyepatch wearing glory.
"Aizawa?!" The students gasped out.
"So, it's official." Midnight said. "The events of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 where Shouta was in were in the late 2000's and early 2010's."
"But that would mean that..." Mic muttered. "Nobody could survive that long in ice."
"Remember, he's a super-soldier." Vlad King pointed out. "His superhuman biology could have kept him alive in that ice for that long."
Aizawa walked up to Izuku, agents and guards surrounding the two and keeping the civilians away. "Look, I'm sorry about that little show back there," Aizawa apologized. "But, we thought it best to break it to you slowly."
"B-Break what?" Izuku gasped out confused.
Izuku knew the truth of what Aizawa said, but his next words still struck like a hammer.
"You've been asleep, Cap." Aizawa revealed. "For almost 70 years."
"70 years?" Nejire gasped out, complete shock in both her eyes and the eyes of many in the audience.
"T-That's impossible." Iida gasped out himself.
"In world already full of so much impossibilities, this one seems tame by comparison." Hawks responded. "Though I can imagine how rough that is, waking up one morning to find yourself decades in the future, still the same while everyone and everything has aged and gone by."
Hawks's words struck a cord of realization into Izuku. The counterpart of Captain America thought back to Setsuna Carter and their promise, a promise he now broke over 70 years ago. The same realization flashed in Setsuna's mind as she slumped in her seat, feeling utterly defeated.
Izuku's eyes widened in slow, horrified realization as he stared around him, at the buildings, the cars, the people. He looked at the Time Square Jumbotron as it read 'Innovations of the 21st Century'.
"You gonna be okay?" Aizawa asked.
"That's the million dollar question, isn't it?" Ojiro said.
"Y-Yeah. Yeah, I just..." Izuku gasped out, his confusion gone, reality settling in with sadness on his face. "I had a date."
Izuku slumped in his seat, this thumb rubbing his pinkie finger softly and guiltily.
The credits rolled in filling the screen with WWII American themed paintings, drawings, and war propaganda.
"That's it?!" Hagakure exclaimed. "But that ending, it was so sad!"
"Not every story has a happy ending." Aizawa said, her arms crossed.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. decided to omit how very true those words were, especially in this series of movies.
"Sad ending or not, this video was Manly as hell!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Agreed." Momo nodded. "I have to say that this might be my most favorite one , face with tragedy, a classic underdog story, even with the sad moments, I really liked it."
"And seeing Midori kick ass and look good doing it." Mina teased.
Momo stayed silent at that yet very subtly nodded.
"I really liked this one." Eri nodded happily. "It was sad at what happened, but you were really cool, Papa."
"Yeah, the way you threw that shield and beat up those Hydra losers was so awesome!" Kouta said enthusiastically, mimicking some of Cap's moves.
"I'm glad you two liked it." Izuku said with a smile.
"But how did 'Zuzu survive the ice?" Nejire asked. "Don't people die of hypothermia and frostbite like we were talking about?"
"Excellent questions, Miss Hado." Nezu said. "Perhaps as Mister Rogers is a super soldier, his increased metabolism and healing factor kept Mister Rogers alive from hypothermia and frostbite, likely repairing and keeping him alive throughout his time in the ice."
"Plus, if he was completely suspended in frozen animation, he didn't have any need for water or food, so also wouldn't have died from starvation or dehydration." Momo jumped in.
"Kind of hard to dehydrate when you are covered in frozen water." Kyouka joked.
"Um Setsuna." Ibarra said. "Um I apologize for my teasing of your affections for Midoriya. If I knew of what was going to happen, I wouldn't have-"
"Hey hey, it's fine, Shio." Setsuna waved off Ibarra's apology. "None of us knew what was going to happen. Plus, I might have had it coming after all my teasing towards you and Bakugou. It's cool."
"Will you be okay after, well you know?" Ibarra asked.
Setsuna smiled sadly. "It's going to hurt for a while, seeing my...my crush 'die' in front of me and now 70 years in the future where I'm maybe dead." Setsuna answered. "But I will be. Besides, I have some unfinished business with our Midoriya."
Ibarra smiled. "I wish you the best of luck." Ibarra said.
Setsuna smirked back. "Same with you and Bakugou."
The two giggled and hugged.
"You going to be okay, Deku?" Uraraka asked worried.
"Y-Yeah, yeah I will." Izuku nodded. "I-It's a lot to take in, but I'll be fine. If anything, I'm now more curious to see what's going to happen now that I'm in the present with Kacchan."
"Oh right!" Uraraka exclaimed. "You are in the same time as Bakugou and All Might. So maybe we will get to see you, Bakugou, and All Might fight together."
"That would be awesome!" Kirishima exclaimed excited. "That Team Up would be the Manliest thing I would ever see!"
"Heh, think you can keep up with me, nerd?!" Bakugou questioned as he turned to Deku a look of challenge on his face. "I'm the motherfucking Iron Man while you are an old man with a disk!"
Izuku simply smirked back confidently. "Maybe it's you who's going to have to keep up Kacchan." Izuku fired back.
Bakugou's eye twitched though he still smirked back. "Bring it on, Deku!" He yelled back.
All Might chuckled at seeing the two rivals clash horns against each other, nervously sweating and hoping that their counterparts don't end up doing the same.
The screen gained life once more as it showed Izuku in a gym, jabbing his fists at a punching bag over and over.
"Look! It's another post credit scene!" Pony pointed out.
As his face grew angrier and angrier, so too did his punches become stronger and wilder. Izuku released a powerful punch that sent the punching bag flying off, opening its contents to the ground as it broke.
The students and teachers became concerned once more, knowing from experience that an angry Deku is definitely not something one wants to deal with.
"Trouble sleeping?" Aizawa's voice sounded off, Izuku turning to see Aizawa walk in.
"You're here with a mission, sir?" Izuku asked as his unrolled the bands from his fists.
"I am." Aizawa said.
"Trying to get me back in the world?" Izuku asked.
"Trying to save it." Aizawa revealed, Izuku looking to him in confusion.
The screen cut to black once more, before single blue light shone and engulfed the screen, before it fading and revealed two words: The Avengers.
"The Avengers." Izuku worded out.
"Wasn't this video called Captain America the First Avenger?" Kaminari pointed out.
"Maybe Midoriya is the first member or even leader of this team of superhuman individuals." Todoroki proposed.
The device returned back to the selection screen and showed another folder was unlocked, the file read 'The Avengers'.
"So the Avengers is next." Melissa said. "Like the Avengers Initiative?"
"Man, I'm so excited right now." Tetsutetsu exclaimed. "All this mystery and excitement is getting me all riled up!"
"Should we call it a day, sir?" All Might asked. "With these two movies and all that's happened, don't you think we should give the students a bit of break?"
"I understand your concerns All Might." Nezu nodded. "However, I believe we still have some time left and I wouldn't want to lie to my students after promising them three video today instead of two."
At seeing his smile and gleam in his eyes, All Might and the rest of the teachers can up with the same thought. 'You're just as curious about the Avengers and don't want to wait.' Instead of voicing this thought, the teachers decided to retain their jobs and paychecks by keeping quiet.
"Although, we will have a 10 minute break before we begin." Nezu continued. "To stretch our legs and cool off from the previous video. Does that sound agreeable?"
With the unanimous nods of the group, they split off once more to discuss among themselves and stretch their limbs.
Midoriya was quickly hounded by the guys and forced to endure various amounts of praises at the revelation of his counterpart being Captain America and teased for his 'thing' with Setsuna. Izuku was just glad that Itsuka karate chopped Monoma into unconsciousness before the blonde could hound him on that particular information.
Izuku noticed Setsuna talking to the girls and look over his way. Before he could excuse himself to have a talk with her, the fact that he was mirroring what Bakugou did two hours ago with Ibarra not lost on him, Aizawa walked up to Izuku, All Might and Nezu in tow.
"Midoriya," Aizawa said. "We need to have a little talk."
Over with Setsuna, she was having a similar situation, hounded by her 1-B classmates over her role as Setsuna Carter and her connection to Midoriya, likewise thanking Itsuka that she silenced Monoma before he could hound her about it or, worse, Midoriya.
Speaking of the Green Bean, Setsuna noticed him looking at her, clearly wanting to have a little talk with her, something she was eager and also dreading to do.
But before she could walk over to him, she saw him get blindsided by Aizawa, Nezu, and All Might. She didn't catch what it is the insomniac teacher said but it's clear that the three wanted to talk with Midoriya about something, which drew her curiosity. She considered following and spying on them, but a hand on her shoulder made her look to see the group she was dreading the most to talk to: the other girls that Setsuna knew were attracted to Midoriya.
"Setsuna, can we talk for a bit?" Momo asked nicely, though Setsuna knew by her hidden tone and look in her eyes, it wasn't a request, it was a demand.
AAAAANNNNDDDD SCENE! Well now that was an experience that I will not want to repeat again. Seriously, I barely got this off because I had to constantly remind the app to stop making some words bold or in italics over and over again. But thankfully, here is the chapter, hope you guys liked it, and Happy Independence Day!
I hoped you guys liked that little sister, big brother vibe from Death Arms and Mount Lady, because I intended for that to sting because of what happened in the manga. And now with Captain America over and done with, we are moving onto the Avengers! Finally! After the Avengers, we will be going into another Interlude chapter before heading into Phase 2 of the MCU.
Also shoutouts to grilledmonkey for his for his help in the scene where Aizawa and the teachers explain why Cap couldn't just jump out of the plane. He has helped back during the the grenade scene in the first part of Captain America and he comes through here again. Thanks again!
Anyways, I apologize if some parts came off as quick or not reacted to the best, I was rushing and trying my best to finish this chapter off and along the way I felt like I was running on fumes. Hopefully after this I can relax a little, maybe eat some ice cream and watch some Independence Day movie, and maybe Independence Day Resurgence just so I can make fun of it.
And finally, I will say this again, and hopefully, for the last time: I am Only covering Phase 1-3 of the MCU and ending on Endgame. Incredible Hulk will Not be covered, Captain Marvel is still up for debate, and any movies after Endgame, like Spider-Man: Far From Home and Black Widow will be in the Sequel story, and MCU tie-in shows, like WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will also likely be in this Sequel story. The Loki show is also under debate because I have not seen any of it because at this point I have given up on the MCU, or as Marvel and Disney are turning it into, the M-She-U, and Loki is just, for me, the straw the broke the camel's back. I likely won't be seeing Black Widow ether because of all the stupid drama that Scarlett Johansson is going on about Black Widow being oversexualize, like hello that's the Point of Black Widow, that she uses her sexuality against men and uses it to her advantage. Its not some thing the director or writers just made up For Her, its a part of the Character she is Portraying and the Backstory From the Comics She Was Based On!
Phew, sorry for the rant, I have been holding that in and am getting sick and tired of Disney ruining Star Wars, Marvel, and now soon Indiana Jones. With that all said, I hope you guys liked the chapter, and as always leave your thoughts and comments in the reviews, comment which characters will be who, like Hulk, check out my other stories if you like, and please get your shots id you can so that things can return to even a semblance of normal.
With that said this has been Zayden StormVoid declaring to the Woke mob and SJWs that We Fans and Sane People Will Not Go Quietly Into the Night! We Will Not Vanish Without a Fight! We're Going to Fight On! We're Going to Save The Franchises We Love! For the Power for us to do so, here in the US of A, Came Today, and We Will Celebrate Our Independence Day!
*Cue Fireworks and Cheers!*
