Okay, this is the longest chapter I've written.
This chapter might contain more grammatical mistakes and typos since I couldn't use Grammarly to check them.
All the important stuff I want to say will be in the author's note at the bottom.
I would appreciate your support and reviews.
SCP: Birth Of The Legends
Chapter 31: An alliance in the shadows.
Adam turned around, he was completely alone neither the Wind or Water indicated the presence of somebody else. That was the first time he was going to enter Yasaka's bedroom.
He just had to be polite and try not to stare at her for too long, sounded easy but it was going to be hard. She was so beautiful that by just seeing her, his brain turned off.
While continuing his way he checked his clothes and gear.
A black shirt, a purple six-button vest, black pants, and black ankle boots with a belt.
"You really are a masochist," Sylphide commented with a giggle. "Just look at all the belts you use."
"I don't get it, what does it have to do with anything?"
"It has to do with everything! Look, you can't tell me that you would use all of those belts without liking to be tied up like a bunny."
Adam facepalmed, those kind of commentaries were so random and embarrassing. It wasn't like he could deny anything, the Spirits were on his soul and could read his mind with ease.
What a problem.
"That's different. I use this belts for fashion."
"Fashion that reflects your masochistic tendencies."
"I just use them because I want to be like my father."
"Oh, so it's something in the genes then."
Adam stopped in front of what he guessed that was Yasaka's bedroom. The Wind and Water were telling him that there was someone else besides the Empress.
Before entering, he checked his battle belt. Two magazines for his Glock 17, a knife in the rear, and a little pouch with small smoke grenades made for him.
Elin was quite skillful, she created them and sent them through her familiar. He had to thank her properly, maybe with sushi.
"She is delusional, please be sensible. I would never do such a thing at your back."
Adam looked around, the hallway was alone so he wasn't going to be caught doing what he planned to do.
The blond knelt beside the door and pressed his ear against the door. He wasn't spying, he was collecting intelligence for future occasions.
"You were trained to be a ninja, I can't really blame you for being curious, master. But, you're not respecting the Empress' privacy."
The Demon of Darkness snorted a little annoyed by Gaia's commentary. "As you said, he was trained to be a spy, if he doesn't do it he would be wasting his training."
Adam mentally clapped; finally, that presence was supporting him.
"I can smell a good story here, be quiet," Sylphide ordered.
The blond focused on hearing the conversation. He acknowledged that the act itself was a betrayal to Yasaka's trust but speaking of trust...
Adam didn't trust her completely, the Empress had shown no second intentions till the moment but he had to be 100% sure to trust her blindly.
A familiar aroma, a disturbance in the current of the wind in that hallway. His body was faster than his mind, he drew his pistol while turning around and pointed; his finger was on the trigger ready to shoot.
There was nothing in the hallway.
"The ceiling."
Adam pointed his pistol to said place and found certain German blonde.
Jennifer was standing on the ceiling, she delicately levitated to the floor without fixing her position. Adam didn't doubt to take a good look at her legs and plump thighs.
Wait, why was she wearing such a revealing yukata?
His gaze slowly lowered until her lace black panties. He shook his head when he noticed that he stared for too long.
Jennifer smirked and fixed her position, her sandals made no noise against the floor. The skirt descended and hid her legs.
Just then, Adam noticed the ample neckline of the yukata. He shook his head and looked at her face just to find a smirk.
"This girl is a huge pervert, I can feel it. This make things easier."
"SHUT UP/BE QUIET, SYLPH!" yelled every Spirit.
Adam quickly turned around and knelt to hear the conversation...again.
"I know that you savored the view, I could see it," the damphir whispered on his ear.
The blond holstered his pistol and chose to focus on hearing rather than Jennifer's ravishing body.
"Alright, I'll put the girl on a psychiatric ward."
"Thank you, she needs help. What about the Pink Satan? When will she leave?"
"Don't push me, Haruki. Today you have crossed a line, do you understand?"
"Yes, of course."
"Good, now if you excuse me I have another meeting."
"What?"
"Leave my room, this is a personal meeting."
"I understand."
Adam and Jennifer stood up, the blond leaned against the wall and the half-vampire simply put her hands behind her back.
The young man didn't make an effort to hide his grin while Jennifer showed no emotion.
Haruki got out of the room and closed the door behind him, while he muttered something his eyes met Adam's.
"What's up?"
Haruki face reddened and his tails stiffened and pointed at Adam threateningly. It was pretty obvious that the Emperor was furious.
"How dare you to be here?"
"I have a private meeting with your wife. Something about first aids."
"What?"
"You know, mouth-to-mouth ventilation."
Adam was ready to fight, he was provoking the Emperor at purpose. Something in him caused Adam instant disgust, and he was more than willing to express it.
Adam quickly "equipped" the power of Water and effortlessly dodged the tail that tried to smack him.
Jennifer simply paralyzed the tails, the Emperor was strong but his movements were too predictable.
"Is that way to treat your guests? A soul like yours just serves as my meal."
Adam said the last sentence with a serious and threatening tone, he didn't know why he said it. The only thing he was certain of was that he felt hungry.
"This is getting better and better. Don't be afraid, just let nature make her part."
Jennifer slowly put her hands at hip-high, Adam's words were full of aggressiveness. She had to stop him before he does something too severe to repair.
"You're already here, what a surprise. Haruki, would you be so kindly?"
The Emperor clenched his teeth and left as fast as he could.
"William-kun, are you alright?"
Adam put his hand away from his pistol, for a moment he feared himself. He was ready to use lethal force, how could he lose control?
"Yes, I am."
He entered the room swiftly to hide his shame, that lack of control was unacceptable.
Yasaka looked at Jennifer, they both nodded to each other.
"You look gorgeous, Wo...Jennifer-san."
"Thank you, your highness. This clothes worked perfectly."
Both blondes got into the room. They rose an eyebrow when they saw Adam arm-crossed and with his eyes closed.
Yasaka sat on her huge bed and asked Jennifer to sit with a gesture. The half-vampire obliged slightly alert by Yasaka's sheer power.
Adam stopped his meditation and walked to the bed but kept himself at a considerable distance from it. Yasaka told him to sit as well but Adam shook his head, he didn't feel confident enough to be on the same bed where two beauties were.
More than a matter of confidence was a matter of biology. He could smell their scent and that was enough to make his head feel weird, it was something similar to what happened when he was close to Kuriho when she was too...
"Please, William-kun. I would like to talk about this as Yasaka and not as the Empress."
Adam silently nodded and took off his boots to get onto the bed. While climbing onto it, he gave himself a few seconds to saliva...admire Yasaka.
She was wearing a black yukata with floral decorations, and frankly, it was too short and revealing; a perfect view of her legs and colossal breasts. Adam slapped himself mentally and focused on the meeting.
They were forming a circle so they could look at each other's eyes.
"Don't worry, master. I'll keep your mind calmed," Kenkyo said.
Adam mentally thanked her, he will need the help.
"Well, I wish this to not be a bother for any of you."
Jennifer shook her head. "For you to be so worried, It won't be a bother."
Yasaka smiled, the half-vampire and the young warrior noticed her tails swaying from side to side and a slight blush on her cheeks.
While Jennifer feared what the Empress had to say, Adam was trying to find the reason behind Yasaka's blush.
"I-I want to divorce my husband."
Adam and Jennifer looked at each other, in total sync gave her a thumb-up.
"A wise choice," Jennifer praised. "You deserve better."
"I knew that the man was a prick, excuse my language."
Yasaka began to play with her fingers and both Foundation operatives knew that a huge "but" was coming.
"It's not so easy, we got married under not just the Royal Laws of Kyoto but under the sacred Rules of the Sun."
Adam and Jennifer tilted their heads in sync.
"The Royal Laws are ancient and unbreakable, they cannot be ignored. When I married Haruki, my absolute political power was divided between I and him."
Yasaka moved her body to sat leg-crossed. For both young adults, it was clear that the topic was making her uncomfortable.
"The Rules of the Sun are simple, when love is involved we, the kitsunes, have not to just truly love the person we're marrying but also being absolutely sure that the person is good."
"Haruki fooled you," Adam commented aloud. "Don't worry, it happens to the best."
Jennifer didn't say anything, she simply smacked Adam in the head. He just looked at her for an answer but focused on Yasaka again when his girlfriend gave him a cold glare.
"Yes, he did. The rules says that I cannot separate from my true love."
"Hmmm. So you want me to kill him?"
"No, it's something less...extreme."
Jennifer almost facepalmed, Adam straight-forwardness was admirable but too blunt sometimes.
"I'll let you explain. I was an idiot."
Yasaka smirked briefly before carrying on with her explanation.
"There is a rule that says that if the person who I married has demonstrated that he was not my true love, I can divorce him. The problem is that there are just two ways to do this.
"The first is facing my husband in a duel, if I wasn't Empress this would be the one I would have choose but even if he is not my husband under the sacred Rules of the Sun, he is still my husband under the Royal laws."
"I see. What is the second way?"
Yasaka blushed and her tails started to sway even more excitedly.
"I have to propose myself to my true love, so he can face my former husband and claim the crown and my hand. "
Adam and Jennifer nodded, it sounded a little unfair but who were they to say anything.
"If that is the rule of the Sun, what will require the Royal Law?" Jennifer questioned.
"The Royal law need a duel for the throne, a duel that just can happen if the citizens support the battle for their future. His political power could keep him as Emperor for few months and with luck, a baron"
"What is the purpose of the duel? If the citizens are going to decide their future it should be on his hands, isn't it?"
Yasaka nodded understanding her point, she would simplify the explanation as much as she could.
"The duel is with the purpose of showing that the new Emperor is strong enough and as a deterrence to avert any attempt to overthrown him. My position as Empress only can be revoked by myself, watching over Kyoto was a duty entrusted to me by the Goddess of the Sun."
Jennifer didn't say anything; she admired Yasaka's commitment. Maybe that was what caused her to fall in love and take rushed choices.
She was so immerse in her duty that she neglected love, spending centuries with that uncomfortable feeling, getting bigger every day. Yasaka was desperate.
"So, all you have to do is finding your true love. I guess that you don't have any clues, don't you?" Adam commented.
"Actually..."
Adam noticed how Yasaka stared at him, why was she doing it?
"Jennifer-san, you understand, don't you?" the fox-woman asked.
"I do."
"As his girlfriend, can you tell the others?"
Jennifer nodded, at least she had the due respect to ask for their permission.
"I doubt that you called both of us just for this, no offense. What else do you require from us?"
Adam who was clueless of the situation, decided to pay attention to the conversation.
"I need to...sink my husband. His shady businesses must be revealed to the public."
"So the people would be loving the idea of the duel," Adam said with his arms crossed.
"Exactly. I-"
"I'm in."
Jennifer looked at Adam's precipitation with a scowl.
"What?" he inquired. "I can't deny her freedom from her husband."
"Did you think the implications that accepting has?"
Adam looked at Yasaka for help. He didn't notice anything wrong, he could feel that her words were truthful, and he just was going to expose Haruki as the malignant and selfish monster he was.
"How can you be sure that the current Emperor is malignant?" questioned Carmillia (Spirit of Fire) out of curiosity. She knew that if the Empress was so desperate then her husband must be a fool.
"I can feel it, child. He is evil, not as much as a serial killer but evil regardless," Skotadi (Spirit of Darkness) answered.
"We can feel it, his soul might be a good appetizer for your master."
Adam shook his head almost violently, there was too many voices inside his head. It was difficult to hear his own thoughts.
"I don't really get it, what are the implications?"
Yasaka put her hand on her lips to hide her smirk, even with such a normal movement she looked elegant.
"William, you really are an idiot."
"Part-time idiot."
"Full-time idiot."
"Stop averting the question, what are the implications?"
With a look, Jennifer asked to the nine-tailed fox to explain. She loved Adam but he sometimes was so goddamn dense!
Yasaka approached Adam on all fours giving him the visual buffet of her wiggling breasts. A pinch from Jennifer made him snap out from the trance, he wasn't sure if he wanted to.
Adam felt shivers when the slender fingers of the Empress caressed his cheek.
"The implication is, William, that I would need something from you."
"Like gu-"
"Love, I need love from you."
Adam's face reddened, not even Kenkyo's intervention helped him to stay calm. In an impulse, he jumped off the bed and hid behind Jennifer.
Yasaka blinked several times totally confused. "Did I do anything bad?"
Jennifer denied with her head, Adam really hadn't changed at all.
"He's just overheated, your highness. You're dressed like that and basically confessed your love to him, it was too much for his primitive brain."
Adam scowled and bit Jennifer's shoulder.
"Ah! What are you doing?!"
Forgetting about dignity and etiquette, both young adults began to "fight". Adam kept biting her and she tried to pull his ears, and eventually ended up wrestling in a childish manner, pulling each other's hair.
Yasaka laughed aloud, unable to hold back.
"You two are full of energy."
Both Foundation operatives blushed and tried to fix their dignity but Yasaka just raised her hand.
"Don't worry, at this time I'm not the Empress, I'm just Yasaka."
"Invite her to wrestle too. It would be unfair though, all that weight in the chest would give her the upper hand."
Adam let a really loud laugh came out from his mouth, Sylphide always had something to say.
"Did I say something funny?"
"No, you-" Adam remembered her desire to be just Yasaka at that moment. "No, Yasaka. I have seven voices in my head, one of them just said something funny."
A quick glance at Yasaka's breasts confirmed Sylph's words. Adam contained his laugh, at least that kitsune doesn't read minds.
"Are you having hallucinations?!"
Adam looked at Jennifer with a rose eyebrow, didn't he tell her about the Spirits?
In order to avoid further confusion, Adam explained the situation to the women.
"So, you're the current Heavenly Warrior. I should have known."
"I am your girlfriend, why didn't you tell me?!"
Adam shrugged. "I thought that I already did. Sorry, I have too many things in my head, I forgot."
Jennifer rolled her eyes, he was doing those puppy eyes. It was to hard to be mad at him for too long.
"Fine, I accept your apologize, pervert."
"Pervert? Excuse me, princess?"
"Want me to punish you in front of the Empress?"
"I'm so scared, call my mother!"
Yasaka giggled, that view was nostalgic. Those two surely get along, a cute couple.
"Alright, younglings. Let me talk about my plan."
Adam and Jennifer stopped their fight and sat correctly, that was important. They will fight more later.
"I really appreciate your help, WIlliam-kun. Jennifer-san, apologies for th-"
"You can count with my assistance as well."

Royal Gardens, Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Adam parried the blade that was going straight to his neck but when he tried to counterattack, a heeled boot hit his chest pushing him and making him lose his balance for a split second. The blond responded with a kick of his own but it was easily evaded.
It was useless, his current teacher was able to predict every movement.
That little sparring session finished when Adam was disarmed and knocked down by an effective joint lock to his wrist.
"Good technique but too brutal. The more bloodlust the easier to detect by True Perception."
Adam stood up and straightened his posture. "I'll do my best to keep my emotions under control, Aunt."
Blake sat on the grass, the training was going way better than she thought. Adam had shown that he already had trained to use the power of Water.
He had a quite basic level of True Perception and his space manipulation was non-existent. Blake estimated that if he could keep up the same extreme routine, he would learn to use dimensional slash at a basic level.
With a little more effort, he should reach the level to use hidrokinesis and clear his mind. Illusions was something a bit harder but she was sure that he could do it.
"You already have a good mental image of the water, but you keep struggling against it. Let the waves flow within you and be one with them."
Adam nodded and sat down to meditate.
"Master, it's a matter of instinct. Your soul is used to its own energy and flow, letting the surrounding flow and energy sync with yours make your soul uncomfortable and generates rejection. That's why my power is hard to master."
The blond nodded, he was going to listen to every useful piece of advice he could get. He was not a fool, if Kenkyo (Spirit of Water) was giving him advice, he would follow it.
"Your body, mind, and soul are not regular. You have learned to concentrate your energy, your body can mutate to adapt faster than any other living being in this planet. I think, master, that you have the potential to become the strongest living being that have ever wielded the elements."
Adam thanked her, he felt a little bad for feeling relief by her words. But something else was on his mind, how could he reach his father and brother's level in three months?
"Well, I have an idea," Gaia said. "It's not going to be easy."
"I have an idea as well, might calm the hunger you're feeling."
Inside his mind, Adam saw the silhouette of a tall and bulky demon with red glowing orbs as eyes and a current of brown energy with woman silhouette.
The Demon of Darkness and the Spirit of the Earth.
Gaia drew closer to Adam and spoke.
"Normally, your training would require a lot of time mostly because your body needs to rest to avoid permanent damage. What if you don't need to rest or sleep?"
Adam considered her words, it was true. With each passing day, he began to notice that his necessity to sleep slowly vanished. The things he could do without having to sleep eight hours, he could use that time to train.
"Exactly, you can make your body work to its limits and there shouldn't be a consequence at all. But that means that you will have to suffer great pain every day."
Adam didn't argue, if pain was the price to pay for power then he would accept it.
"Now is my turn, brother. I have a great hope in you."
The blond shrugged, whatever his idea was couldn't be so bad.
"Eat the souls of your enemies."
"Okay, how do I eat souls? Do I put them in a pot and season it?"
The Demon of Darkness laughed making Adam's mental scenario tremble.
"You will know how to do it, when the time comes you will know what you are."
Adam felt a disturbance in the flow around him; curious, he broke his meditation just in time to move his body out of the way of Blake's personal weapon.
The katana slashed the flesh of a soldier. Blake moved Gambol Shroud fast enough to block the drops of bloods that almost stained her clothes.
A white blouse, black pants and heel boots. She untied the bow on top of her head revealing her black cat ears, she let the bow fly and changed her weapon to its pistol mode.
Adam was behind Blake, giving her the back to cover her blind point, he already had drawn his pistol. He scanned his surroundings but found nothing.
A better look at the soldier revealed that he was using the latest version of a concealment armor. It was an exosuit that covered the entire body and created a small electromagnetic field that made photons evade the suit.
The man also had a military bullet-proof vest, a holstered pistol, and was holding a FN FAL.
That wasn't cheap equipment, they likely were mercenaries. They, because it was unlikely that he was the only one.
The faunus parried three bullets that went straight to her head, Adam rolled over his shoulder. He was about to summon the strength of Gaia to endure the bullets but his grandmother acted first.
Blake used the flow around her to mess with the one that was around the mercenaries' heads. This disoriented them and made them kneel to not fall.
Blake's ears moved and she shot at the same direction, the bullet successfully impacted against one of the mercenaries but it bounced against the armor.
Adam couldn't see anything but he could smell gunpowder and hear footsteps. He saw a twig getting broken on the ground, he shot and ended up with the same result.
"Adam, stick close."
He followed Blake's command and pressed his back against her.
"Electricity dome."
Adam thought about it and his body remembered the last time it created electricity. He felt a tickling sensation on his back, where his spine was.
Blake was about to create a dimensional fissure around them to protect them from the in-coming offense but she was interrupted by an intense shiver and the suden sensation of her body hair getting bristly. She noticed after a second that she was surrounded by electricity.
The mercenaries' recovered and opened fire, the bullets were captured by the electricity. This didn't stop them to keep shooting.
Adam clenched his teeth, Sapphire's idea was good but he didn't have enough energy to keep the dome up. He should have eaten before meeting with his grandmother.
Blake took advantage of this, she had questions but it wasn't the time. Instead, she focused on the flow to find the specific location of the attackers.
The black-haired faunus changed her weapon to its katana configuration by dis-attaching the scabbard.
"Adam, reduce the dome to cover you I will take care of this."
Once again, Adam followed her command, it wasn't comfortable letting her doing all the job but she was skilled and powerful enough to fulfill her words.
Blake exited the dome. At the same time her boot touched the grass, she slashed the air sending a dimensional slash at light-speed.
The consequence of her attack was two mercenaries collapsing to the ground.
She made clones of herself to avoid the bullets, a stone clone was shattered by the bullets, a ice clone exploded and a water clone turned into a puddle.
When the mercenaries finally got her in their cross-hairs was too late, she bent over and diagonally cut upwards piercing the abdomen of the nearest one without damaging the armor. The next one received a round kick to the side, it had enough strength to sent him flying a pair of meters.
Blake proceeded to make more clones of water to move away from the line of fire. Fortunately, the majority of the bullets got caught in Adam's electricity field.
"This is your chance, brother. Just kill one and don't fight your instincts."
As his body weakened, his hunger increased. He needed to satiate it.
"You dared to attack my family!"
An overwhelming rage took over Adam, for some reason holding back was beginning to get harder. They had tried to damaged a member of his family, they were shooting her!
Blake created multiple stone clones and took cover behind them. She could easily kill the mercenaries but she was trying just incapacitate them. She heard Adam's exclamation and got worried about him but not by what she thought she would be.
The flow around Adam belonged to the darkness, not like a Grimm, it was something worse.
Blake felt the danger coming; by reflex, she manipulated her aura to protect herself. It stopped shielding every part of her body and separated from it to create a wall of energy in front of her.
Adam made his electricity dome explode sending lightning bolts in all directions. The electricity damaged the conceal function of the exosuits, now they could be seen.
Adam's eyes turned yellow and his pupils became vertical. A smile that showed his sharp denture was what scared the last two mercenaries.
Surrounded by purple lightning bolts, he threw himself to the enemies.
Blake felt the violent change of Adam's energy, it felt evil.
Adam didn't bother ro evoke his katana, he used his own fist surrounded by electricity.
The bullets pierced through him like butter but his body healed too fast to even notice that there was an injury.
When his fist impacted against the armor, thousands of volts traveled through the metal and flowed inside the user's body, the blond grabbed the mercenary's head and send all of the electricity he could. Adam didn't stop even when the another mercenary unloaded his weapon on him.
Adam threw the agonizing body away and went for the last mercenary who already had reload his weapon.
Adam used his forearm to deflect the weapon and punch him in the face with enough force to knock him down. He showed no mercy and shoot electricity from his fingers, he just was satisfied when smoke and the smell of burnt flesh came to his nostrils.
"It's enough," Skotadi declared with authority.
For an unknown reason, he stopped instantly.
"Now, feel them, claim them, devour them."
Yes, they were there.
All those delicious souls waiting to be devoured and serve its noble purpose.
Adam opened his mouth, instead of the normal insides of a human mouth there was an absolute void.
Blake was in shock, she could feel the flow getting disturbed and the desperation of the souls. They were getting closer to Adam as if he was some kind of black hole.
Spheres of energy got inside Adam's mouth, he could hear pleas and they were delightful.
As soon the spheres got inside his mouth, they were assimilated. The void turned into flames and every artery of Adam's body was filled with raw energy.
"Yes, yes, savour it. Feel their strength turning into yours."
Adam smirked, he could feel it, the power!
"I knew it," Skotadi said almost with regret.
Blake got out of her shock and walked towards her great-grandson. That was so familiar, the same flow, the same sensation of dread.
"Adam," he turned around. "You're a demon."
Adam looked at his hands acknowledging what he just did and felt guilty. No, there was no time for that, he had to find if the rest of the girls were safe.
"I-I..."
Without knowing what to say or do, he quickly left; he was scared of finding fear in his grandmother's eyes.
Blake cursed, she let the memories get a reaction; she was surprised not scared of him.
"Adam, wait!"

Kuriho bashed the head of a mercenary against the concrete, with a sweep of her tails threw another one against a lamppost and with her gaze paralyzed another.
What was a nice stroll to explore the streets of the supernatural Kyoto, turned into a shootout.
"It's being so hard not to eat you all."
Maybe in other circumstances she would have done it but Adam would disapproved...and the Foundation operatives behind her.
"We appreciate that," said one of them, a female.
"Glad to hear ̴"
The kumiho went to the paralyzed soldier, she made sure to sway her hips with each step. When she was closer enough, she lowered her kimono enough to show her cleavage.
That was an old tactic to deceive; with a mixture of her beauty and mind powers, she could bend anyone's will, even women fell to that trick.
"Would you be so kindly to drop your weapons?"
The mercenary obliged almost eagerly, he even dropped his holstered pistol.
"Good boy, would you kneel to show your good will?"
He did it.
"What an obedient child ̴" maybe she was being way too seductive but couldn't help herself, it was an habit. "Now, I would like to know why are you here?"
The mercenary for a brief moment tried to resist but was futile. "We're here for the Emperor, he should have paid us but he didn't."
"Pay you for what?"
"We destroyed a nearest village that was opposing to his slavery, he hired us to destroy them before they could talk with the Empress. He should have given us magicians in return."
Kuriho thought what to ask now.
"What happened to the people of the village?"
"We just delivered them to a specific location, I don't know what happened next."
"Why magicians?"
"Our leader, Ares, he needed them."
"Who is Ares? What did he need the magicians for?"
"To awaken the ones that are asleep."
Kuriho tried to read his mind but he collapsed and convulsed, she was puzzled. She didn't push his mind far enough to collapse his brain, what was happening?
"A suicide chip. The same thing happened to one member of the Chaos Insurgency."
The answer came from the same female operative from before.
"But he didn't move, I made sure of it," the fox-woman replied.
"It's something neuronal, he thought about certain person or thing, when you tried to bring the memory, the chip destroyed itself to avoid it."
"I didn't want him dead."
"It's alright, I'll inform that you were of great help."
"Thank you!"
Kuriho hugged her but quickly separated, she got carried away. It was just that she got excited, that was a step closer to gain trust and with trust she could work on fixing what she did to some people inside the organization.
The kumiho sat on a staircase and crossed her arms.
The Emperor was darker than she thought, destroying an entire village just to cover his shady businesses. He wasn't a good ruler at all.
And that Ares, he couldn't be the god, she doubted that deities would be interested in making deals for magicians; they had more than enough.
She had no idea what "awaken the ones that are asleep" meant; sleeping gods?
An uncomfortable feeling on her chest made her stand up, she didn't need to be sure to know that it was provoked by Adam. She instantly linked her mind to his, she could feel her anxiety growing with each second.
After a few seconds, she could find her love's location and read his mind. He was delighted and excited, then he was surprised and scared, she couldn't allow that state to continue further.
She jumped to a rooftop and started running towards the palace.
.
.
.
After minutes of running non-stop, she reached the entrance.
There were no servants just a good number of armed guards that were heading to the same direction. Kuriho could deduce that a confrontation occurred inside the palace too.
The surrounding streets were desolated, curious. There must be magic to transport everyone to their houses in case of danger.
Her attention was drawn towards her boyfriend, he was almost running with his head lowered.
He didn't look harmed but she was going to be 100% sure about it.
Kuriho threw herself at him, tackling him.
He identified her but tried to push her away while keeping his face out of sight. She had superior strength and nine more limbs so she quickly subdued him.
"Calm down, it's me, your wife."
"No, please let me go."
Those words hurt her, not because he wanted her far from him but the fear in that sentence; that wasn't right.
"I won't let you go until you feel better, now, look at me."
"No."
"Adam, I'm here for you, trust me."
He closed his eyes, he didn't want to see her scared. "I don't know if you'll like it."
"I'll be the judge of that, now, look at me."
Adam turned his head, his eyes hadn't changed to its normal state, they still looked like a crocodile's or cat's but brighter.
She noticed his sharp fingernails and denture, and the dark energy that was emitting. She couldn't care less about it.
Her beloved needed to feel safe and loved, that was she cared about.
"You look as cute as ever."
Adam's fear was replaced by surprise, her smirk made him feel more relaxed. There was no fear in her eyes.
Kuriho wasn't satisfied, she leaned over and planted a lot of kisses on his face. Adam quickly felt ashamed and tried to hide his face from the kisses.
"You little child, you need mommy to pamper you? To make you feel safe and loved?"
After seeing Adam's face totally red, she felt her mission completed. She helped him to get back to his feet and contained herself from holding him tightly.
"Do you know if the others are safe?"
Kuriho didn't answer him right away. She focused on finding Natasha's and Jennifer's minds.
The scientist was calmed and comforting a little girl, and the blonde was having a buffet, at least for vampiric standards.
"They are fine, we have time for ourselves."
"Did Serafall return?"
"Nope."
"What about the Empress? Is she alright?"
"I can even sense her enormous power from here, she is fine."
Kuriho saw that Adam tried to say something but she covered his mouth with one of her fluffy tails.
"Now, let's go to a private place and talk, okay?"
He nodded.

Underworld.
Serafall rubbed her cheeks, all she wanted was vacations!
After fifty years of non-stop duty, she wanted to indulge herself. Sleeping all day, eating candies, visiting places.
But no!
A dummy wanted to be a terrorist!
"Serafall, I know that this frustrates you but..."
A cold glare from her silenced Ajuka.
"Let's just have this meeting, you can return to your vacations. I think that we are capable enough to deal with the situation."
Serafall looked at Sirzechs with stars in her eyes. Alright, she could endure a few hours of discussion.
Ajuka touched the round table with his finger and sent a little current of his own energy. The table projected a holographic image of Jonathan, next to it, his personal information and documented crimes.
Ajuka decided to speak and inform everyone.
"Jonathan Rose a.k.a Ares. No personal information could be found, all we know is that he is related to Adam Rose, Serafall's current servant and bodyguard as a gesture of good will from the Foundation."
No one added anything, but Serafall scowled for a moment.
"The witnessed and confirmed crimes of Mister Rose are: Kidnap, murder, terrorism, extortion, impersonation, stealing, arm dealing, drug dealing, and the kidnap of two dragons from Tannin's territory. I also have to add the violation to private property and aggression to law officers."
The Maous leaned back on their chairs and crossed their arms. That was a long list of crimes.
"We began before the arrival of rest of the leaders but they already know about his records."
Serafall placed both elbows on the table and got serious, a rare view. "Who are coming?"
Sirzechs was the one who answered her. "Azazel, Michael, and Axl."
The doors opened revealing two knights, one with Sirzechs' and Falbium's crest.
They straightened their posture and announced with a firm tone:
"The leader of the Fallen Angel has arrived!"
"The leader of the Angels has arrived!"
Azazel and Michael entered the room, the knights looked around in confusion before leaving.
The Cadre and Archangel took a seat and greeted.
"I see that you already has begun. Did we miss something?"
"No, we just finished reviewing the files of our common foe."
Falbium Asmodeus looked around, why Axl hadn't arrived?
"Let's carry on with this meeting, our missing gue-"
"I am already here, I offer apologies for the delay."
The leaders looked around, they didn't see him getting inside the meeting room. More importantly, they didn't feel him.
Axl took a seat beside Serafall and leaned back on his seat. "I would like to spot some light in Jonathan's file."
They nodded, there was no reason to oppose the idea.
"I see convenient that you all get to know about his abilities and what he has achieved."
Axl took off his hat and adjusted the handkerchief on his face. Jonathan was becoming too dangerous, he needed to be stopped.
"He is a well-trained soldier of the Foundation, he was our most powerful asset. He is a wonderful marksman, an unmatched swordsman, and one of the best elemental users in the planet."
Azazel raised his hand to talk. "When you say elemental user you mean like sacred gear users?"
"I knew that you were going to make that question."
Axl took something from his trench coat, a cube-shaped device. It created some sort of tentacles and sank into the table overrunning the defenses of the software and taking control of the system.
The holographic image of Jonathan was changed to an image of seven spheres and what seemed a long paragraph.
"The universe was created by two primordial forces, Light and Darkness, from them the four elements that we all know were born. Elemental users have an special link to these elements and don't require magic to do so."
The leaders shared looks, they had no knowledge about it. Azazel rubbed his chin, that was interesting.
"Each element gives its user different abilities. This information is quite new so the entire extension of the abilities is incomplete and our main examples of elemental control are Jonathan and his older son."
Every leader leaned forward as Axl changed the image to show said abilities. Michael was very curious, his father never told him about giving the humans another gift besides the Sacred Gears.
"Fire gives pyrokinesis, the ability to increase the battle spirit, and burn souls. This is the most dangerous in terms of destruction, if the user is skilled enough, they can create super-heated plasma and what looks looks like a small supernova."
Axl reproduced a video.
Jonathan bathed his hands with flames, he threw a punch and shoot a column of fire that melted a pile of debris. He mimicked a blade with his hand and gyrated, the fire concentrated in a fine line that cut a car in half. In the next demonstration, he seemingly had a small sun on his palm.
"Look closely," Axl said.
He threw the "sun" at a desolated building; a second after touching it, a giant explosion took place. It was approaching him but it stopped suddenly by a gesture of Jonathan.
"Water gives hydrokinesis, and a kind of accelerated perception. It seems that it can create fissures in the space-time fabric which can be used in an offensive manner. Unfortunately, there is not footage showing these abilities but we assume that it is incredibly dangerous."
"Earth is what can make an elemental user physically stronger than a rook. I assume that the devils in this room already know the physical capacities of said piece."
The Maous nodded, Azazel wasn't too sure but had heard something, Michael had a clear idea.
Jonathan gathered his forearms in front of his face and slightly bent his knees. An helicopter of attack, black hawk was above Jonathan and from a moment to another, it opened fire.
High-caliber bullets and missiles were shot for several seconds.
The attack ceased, the dust was dissipated by the wind and showed a clearly unharmed Jonathan.
"The defense it's not the only thing that increases."
Jonathan punched an armored vehicle and sent it flying.
"If you want to see the true strength of the Earth, I can show you."
The blond raised his fist and seemed to focus, he smirked and punched the ground. A shock wave knocked off the camera.
"The footage of the rest was deleted, we think that Jonathan himself did it. To summarize it, Wind gives super speed and aerokinesis, the Light and Darkness are a mystery."
The leaders leaned back on their chairs, that was the first time they saw something like that. They knew some aura users from Remnant and their semblances.
The soul created an energy field that surrounded the body and protected it just like an armor. The aura also enhanced their physical capabilities and gave them an unique special ability known as semblance, it varied from person to person.
The leaders had seen aura users whose semblance was create ice, control fire, or manipulate water; an elemental user was something else.
"How powerful is he?" questioned Azazel. "Enough to take out a dragon?"
Axl remained silent for a minute; he already had made his mind but considering the consequences, his idea didn't seem to good. Regardless of the consequences, he needed to gain the factions' trust to stop Jonathan.
"He was our trump card in case of any supreme-class being tried to jeopardize humanity."
The leaders had the same surprised expression before returning to a neutral one. He didn't need powers to guess that they didn't like it.
"Are you telling us that he is able to kill gods?"
Axl didn't know how to made his answer easier to process but there was no use in trying to excuse the Foundation's actions. The humanity had to be protected at any price they could allow themselves to pay.
"He is."
This time the leaders could hide their emotions but felt slightly offended, Axl basically just admitted that the Foundation was ready to kill any of them if the situation required it.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" inquired Michael. "The contract we all signed-"
"I know what I signed, it said that we shall be as transparent as possible and that is what I'm being right now. You can't blame us for wanting to fulfill our duty."
"Duty? You just said that the Foundation-"
Falbium was interrupted by Azazel. "He is right, we have no right to judge."
Everyone looked at the Fallen Angel with curiosity, he sighed and interlaced his fingers.
"With not intention to offend; compared to us, humans are like bugs, we could squish them without problem. They are resourceful and intelligent, sometimes there are a beehive that could be dangerous or a wasp that could harm us but not a considerable threat. They are weak."
Axl nodded, at least the fallen angel wasn't blind to the real position of humans in that crazy universe.
"If for some reason a god or other super-powerful being attack our people, the Four Satans could wipe him out, the Seraphs and Archangels could deal with any threat in Heaven, I and the other eleven commanders of Grigori could fight back."
Even when he felt that he was stating the obvious, the rest of leaders didn't interrupt. Good, he hadn't reached the real point of his speech.
"Humans could not fight, they would be destroyed or slaved. The Foundation has the work of protecting humanity and to be honest, I can't blame them for wanting to be safer."
Serafall diverged from the topic for a moment. She quickly focused again on the conversation, right in time to find everyone's eyes on her.
"Yes?"
Sirzechs smirked, she had zoned out. "As the person in charge of Foreign Affairs, we would like to know if Axl's offer could be beneficial for us."
Serafall looked at Axl for answers. It was a little embarrassing to zone out on middle of such an important meeting.
"My proposal, Lady Leviathan, is an alliance between our factions."
That was bold and she liked the idea of finally getting to leave in peace without worrying for some fallen angel stepping inside the territory of the devils or a crazy exorcist killing the young devils that were on the human world.
But she was realistic.
Devils, angels, and fallen angels had a past marked by bloodshed and slaughter. With dozens and dozens of centuries, the factions mellowed down but it let sequels in the society.
Her intuition and experience were telling her that none of the factions were ready for such a big step.
"If it was for me, I would accept immediately but how our citizens would react?"
"That's why our alliance will be in the shadows, small collaborations, slowly destroy prejudge, and finally achieve co-existence. Even if we all agree that we feel safer alone, we need to trust in each other, alone we will fall but together we will prevail."
Azazel and Michael agreed with Axl, for them it was a good idea.
The number of the fallen angels were reduced and they wouldn't survive if they were attacked. The Foundation was a powerful ally that could ensure the survival of the fallen angels.
The angels would be happy to work alongside the humans their father loved so much, the fact of working with devils and traitors to Heaven might be a problem but if Micahel himself order it they could be incredibly tolerant.
The leaders of the devils were waiting for Serafall's decision.
They didn't need to discuss too much, they had thought about that scenario before and already had organized in such a case.
The decision had to be made by the four, though. If she didn't accept then they wouldn't.
"Always we can make sure that there won't be any aggression or hidden intentions between us, I think that we can have this alliance."
Axl smirked that went better than he thought it would.
"Well, we can organize later. We need to focus on the current situation."
Ajuka nodded to show that he agreed wit Axl. "Director, I'm afraid that we must talk about the damage done."
"Jonathan Rose is no longer a member of the Foundation, I can ensure you that we will hunt him down with everything we got."
[A/N]
From this point, more stuff from the SCPverse will appear. A certain Group of Interest will cause trouble in Kyoto.
A certain loli of infinite power will make her appearance as well as the loli version of a black cat that a good part of the DxD fans loves.
The next chapter is what I like to consider a secondary mission, it's half-filler half-relevant. Since I feel that the relationship between Adam and her girlfriends was a little rushed, I will use these chapters to try to create better "chemistry" between them.
I'll also use this chapter to take a look at what Jonathan and Adrien are doing.
I've been thinking about it and there might be lemon or implicit love-making.
If you have read all of this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
