I hope everyone's ready for the crossover of all time…
Thanks to BuckJohnson for Beta-Read and suggest some ideas for this crossover. I'm telling ya, this guy's like a fanfic producer in helping out fellow writers to do a good story and compromise how it's told and done. Anyway, here's the start of a small 3-Act story arc, each taking place in a 3-Day Weekend weekend.
I don't own Owl House and Gravity Falls, as both belong to Dana and Alex respectfully. Enjoy the fic.
Chapter 18: Reunion
Six years ago…
A butterfly was starting to emerge from its cocoon, which hung from a tree branch. This butterfly was at the end of its metamorphosis cycle, spreading its wings and getting ready to fly for the first time-
SPLAT!
"Ugh, I hate it when that happens," Eda said, peeling the dead butterfly off her as she rode on her staff with Luz holding on behind her. "We're almost there, Luz!"
After flying through the woods near a small Oregon town known as Gravity Falls, Eda's staff came to a stop in front of a large wooden cabin that had been turned into some kind of roadside museum. Eda and Luz jumped off the staff and walked towards the front door.
"Who are we seeing again?" Luz asked her mom.
"Well… let's just say, I had a wild time in Vee-gas one time and ended up getting married to a con man named Stan Pines… then I stole his car and his winnings." Eda laughed to herself as she reminiscenced. "Ah, good times. Though technically we never signed the divorce papers, I just left him and escaped the cops. Haven't seen him since, but I thought it would be nice to drop in and see what he's been up to with this scam."
"I never knew you were married," Luz said as she looked around, spotting a small billy goat chewing on some grass nearby. Eda stepped onto the front porch with Luz and knocked on the door.
Answering it was a six year old human boy with shaggy brown hair, blue eyes, a blue and green striped shirt, and cargo shorts. He was in the middle of eating a piece of watermelon.
"Well this is surprising," Eda said, taken aback. She didn't expect a smaller human and wondered if Stan was watching him or something. "So… does Stan Pines live here?"
"You're not from the IRS, are you?" the boy asked.
"Who's at the door, Mason?"
Luz recognized the man who appeared in the doorway as the same man with the commercial, the same man that her mom had apparently once married. Though unlike in the commercial, he wasn't wearing an eyepatch. "I already told those Mormons that I'm spiritually interested, but not ready for-" He stopped when he got a look at the pale witch before him. Despite how many years had passed, he recognized her just as she had recognized him on the television. "W-What...Marilyn!?"
"Man, I can't believe there was a plagiarizing scandal at Penlit Publishing that recalled all the books," Gus told Bo as they picked us some books from the Bonesborough Library to use for studying.
"Yeah, I know," Bo replied. "Worst case scenario, Penlit's Publishing will fold."
"Man, talk about a downfall," Gus said before noticing Luz with Amity. "Oh hey, there's Luz… with Amity."
Neither Amity or Luz had noticed Gus and Bo, since they were in the middle of their own conversation.
"Hey, it's no big deal, Luz," Amity assured her.
"But, I'm going to be gone for a few days," Luz said. "I don't want you to miss your book or risk me possibly losing it."
"Just keep it with you in a bag, no big deal," Amity replied as she led Luz to the romance section of the library. She pulled on a book and placed her hand on it, the book glowing green when it recognized Amity's hand. "Come on."
Luz soon found herself in Amity's hideout again. "Whoa, looks like you've been tightening up security here."
"Yeah, that way we won't have another… well, you know," Amity said as she showed Luz a certain part of the bookshelf in the room.
It was a row of Azura books. From it Amity pulled out the second volume, handing it to Luz. As she took from Amity, Luz noticed that Amity only had volumes three and five, but not four.
"Where's the fourth book in the series?" Luz asked.
"I don't have it," Amity admitted. "It's not in the library and I couldn't find one in a bookstore. So for now, I haven't even opened the fifth book. Not until I read the fourth volume first."
'A fourth volume, eh?' Luz thought with her eyebrow raised, 'Maybe if I find it somewhere for her…' She imagined herself finding the fourth volume of Azura and handing it to Amity, who in response gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Luz? Luz?"
"He-meh? What!?" Luz looked to see Amity staring at her.
"You were zoning out for a bit, are you alright?" she asked her.
"Just reminding myself about the House Elf Rights Act from the early days of Belo's rule!" Luz satiated. "You know, when Belos freed the house elves and made it law that they would have to be paid for their service!"
"...You really are getting better at your history," Amity acknowledged.
"Yeah, and when I'm off on my trip I'm still going to be hitting the books," Luz told her. "Even though my glyph cards don't work when I'm in the human world. I can't perform magic there, but at least it gives me time to figure out what my unique spell is going to be."
"Can't wait to see what it'll be," Amity replied, smiling at Luz. The latter hid her blush from the former by turning away.
"Y-Yeah, it's going to be a mind blower," Luz stated while rubbing the back of her neck. "Well, I better get going. See you in a few days."
"Yeah, later," Amity nodded as the two left the hideout.
The two went their separate ways, Luz starting to leave until Gus suddenly popped up in front of her.
"Gus!" Luz exclaimed, earning some shushes from the other students studying. "Seriously, why do you always pop up like this?"
"Sorry Luz, I just saw you with Amity earlier and thought we could meet up," Gus replied. "Are you also here to study as well?"
"Actually, I was just here to tell Amity that I'm gonna be gone for the weekend and leaving later today," Luz told him as the two walked together.
"Gone, like on some kind of camping trip?" Gus asked.
"Actually, the human world," Luz answered and Gus froze in shock.
"THE HUMAN WORLD!?" Gus shouted in excitement, which made a nearby librarian clear his throat and get their attention.
"And don't come back!" the librarian yelled as he threw Gus and Luz out of the library, shutting the doors behind them.
Luz sighed. "Great, banned from the library… again."
"I can't believe you're going to the human world for the weekend!" Gus exclaimed in excitement. "As leader of the Human Appreciation Society, and your friend, I wish to come with you on this expedition!"
"Oh, wow that's sudden and last minute," Luz said as she turned to Gus. "Look, this is more of a personal trip so…"
"Pleeeeaaase? I always wanted to see what it's like in the human world." Gus was begging, setting up anime-eyes as an illusion for the extra cuteness.
Luz just couldn't handle that much adorableness from the little guy. She groaned. "Uuuuugh, fine. If I ask my mom, maybe we could let you come with us."
"I promise to not be a bother!" Gus saluted.
"Good boy, but you have to let your dad know where you're going so that it doesn't look like I'm kidnapping you or anything," Luz told him.
"Sure, no problem," Gus replied excitedly, "I'll just tell him that I'm studying at Willow's place-."
"Gus," Luz said seriously, crossing her arms. "Tell him where you're really going."
"Okay…" Gus said as he contacted his dad, while Luz put her hands in her pockets and waited. "Hey dad? Yeah, I just want to know if it's alright if I spend the weekend with Luz?" He looked up at Luz before nervously continuing. "Well, Luz will be in the human world, since her mom's got a portal that can take us there and back… if that's alright?" His eyes widened. "Really? I can go with them? Sweet! Thanks dad, I'll be sure to bring you a gift from the human world!" He ended the call and jumped in excitement. "Dad said it's okay! I get to go to the human world!"
"Wow that's… great…" Luz replied with a thoughtful smile, though she was still a little unsure.
At the Owl House, while Luz brought out her suitcase, Eda was being given a list of things regarding Gus by his father, Perry Porter.
"Now this here shows a list of food Gus can only eat, the rest he's allergic to," Perry told her. "If there's something like dribblelooms in the human world make sure he's not near them."
"I can assure you there aren't any dribblelooms, Perry," Eda assured him, slightly annoyed.
"And everything he needs is in this travel bag, Edalyn." Perry held up a travel bag which he gave to Gus as he turned to address him. "Now be sure to listen to the Owl Lady and do what she says when you're in the human world, okay?"
"Don't worry, dad," Gus said. "I know I'll be fine with Luz and Ms. Clawthorne."
King showed up with his stuffed rabbit. "Okay, I finally found the spray for those blood sucking bugs that inhabit the scorching heat of that world!" he declared. "I'm also bringing a bag full of weapons in case those white van monsters try to lure me in again."
"King, we're not bringing any weapons to the human world!" Luz shouted, before turning to Perry and chuckling. "We'll bring your son safe and sound, Mr. Porter. This is going to be a great educational experience for him."
"Well, no parent would usually let their kids hang out with wild witches and common criminals," Perry stated. "But Gus trusts both of you… and I trust my son."
"And he's safe with us," Eda spoke up. "I mean, what's there to worry about?"
Gus and Perry looked at each other, then at Eda.
"Clowns," they both said.
"…okay," Eda said as she held up her key and tapped it to summon the suitcase with the yellow eye. The suitcase turned into a door that opened up into the human world. "Welp, it's off to Stan's," she said as she walked through, King following her.
"This is going to be great!" Gus said as he jumped through the portal and Luz went in after him.
"Remember your allergies!" Perry shouted after his son before the portal closed. He sighed, hoping that Gus would be okay.
"So, you're a reporter?" Hooty asked, now that he and Perry were alone. "Want to interview me?" Perry didn't answer, instead he just started to walk away from him. "Hey! Come back! I was talking to you! I KNOW WHAT CHANNEL YOU WORK AT!"
But Perry was already gone. "Looks like it's just me by myself for a few days," Hooty said to himself. "Just Hooty." He noticed a familiar butterfly nearby. "Oh hey, Mr. Butterfly!"
"Wow, it's even more beautiful than I imagined," Gus said, his eyes lighting up when he found himself in the middle of the woods. Nearby was a large wooden cabin with a large sign on the roof that read 'Mystery hack' due to the large letter 'S' having fallen off.
"Welcome to the human world!" Eda announced while walking towards the building. "Where humans can't use magic so they have to use their hands and trinkets to get around."
"Where the rain doesn't hurt, the rainbows don't turn you inside out, oh and not to mention the proteins," King stated while grabbing a dragonfly and eating it.
Gus was already taking many photos while Luz walked alongside him. "Feeling excited, little man?" she asked.
"Of course!" Gus told her. "But what's a Mystery Hack?"
"Well it's actually called the Mystery Shack," Luz explained. "It's a tourist trap run by a con man named Stan Pines. He and my mom were married once."
"Your mom married a human?!" Gus cried out in excitement.
"Yeah, he's kinda like my step dad since he and Mom never legally got divorced," Luz said with a shrug. "But they're on good terms and I'm welcome to visit anytime, especially since Stan's great nephew lives with him and I love hanging out with him. Dipper, or Mason as he used to be called, is technically my stepbrother and is super smart. He reminds me of you, actually. Except that while you are fascinated by the human world, he is fascinated by our world and Gravity Falls has more of our world leaking into it than anywhere else."
"Wow, he sounds really cool," Gus commented.
"Coolest dork-human I know," Luz nodded.
"Hey Luz, want to knock on the door?" Eda asked.
"Sure," Luz replied, lifting her fist to the door and starting to bang on it. "THIS IS THE IRS, WE FOUND YOU, PINES!"
"What?!" The door opened and Stan Pines came out. He looked shocked at first, but his face quickly broke into a grin when he saw some familiar faces. "Luz! Eda!" He laughed as he hugged both and they hugged back. "How are my favorite con ladies doing?"
"Doing great," Luz told him. "I got myself into Hexside, which is like a school for witches."
"Magic school, eh? Do they teach you how to count cards there?" Stan then noticed Gus. "And uh, who's the other kid? Did you adopt another one, Eda?"
"No, this is just one of Luz's friends, um… Geese?" Eda asked while looking at Gus.
"Gus Porter, I'm president of the Human Appreciation Society, and I have to ask, how many centuries old are you?" Gus asked. Stan just stared at him, hurt.
"What a way to sting a man," he muttered, before he realized something. "Oh right, I didn't get the chance to tell you earlier but there's something you should know-"
"Grunkle Stan!"
They heard another voice, a female voice, and a few seconds later a twelve year old girl came into view holding a small tiki statue. "Me and Dipper found this cursed item and-" The girl stopped when she noticed the newcomers. The girl had long brown hair, brown eyes and braces on her teeth. She was wearing a red sweater with a strawberry on it, a purple vest, a beige headband, star earrings, an olive skirt, white socks and blue slip shoes. "Are those the Mormons you've been griping about, Grunkle Stan?"
"Actually, these are the guests I told you were coming over," Stan told the young girl. "You know, my ex and her kid." He turned back to his guests. "This is Mabel, my great niece from California… and Dipper's twin sister." A long pause followed. "She is staying over for the summer and that was what I wanted to tell you earlier."
"Oh, so you must be Little Dipper's sister?" Eda said as she extended her hand "The name's Eda the Owl Lady, strongest witch in the Boiling Isles of the Demon Realm."
"Wow, a witch!" Mabel replied, shaking Eda's hand. "I thought Grunkle Stan misspoke and meant that you were a bi-"
"Hey Mabel, why don't you show Luz and her friend, and the uh, weird cat thing inside," Stan interrupted.
"This 'cat-thing' shall be addressed as the King of Demons!" King demanded as he, Luz, and Gus were led inside the Mystery Shack.
"Wow, so you're Grunkle Stan's stepdaughter?" Mabel asked as she turned to Luz, flashing a smile at her and extending her hand. "My name's Mabel! I hope we can become good friends!"
"Yeah… good friends…" Luz put up a smile on her own as she shook Mabel's hand, all the while her other hand reached for her bat behind her and began to raise it. But then it was pushed back down by another hand.
"Whoa, whoa, Luz. She's mostly harmless!" This voice belonged to a twelve year old Mason 'Dipper' Pines, who unlike his six year old self had his hair combed over to openly display his Big Dipper shaped birthmark on his forehead. He wore a brown jacket with pockets, a red shirt, blue summer shorts, socks and brown boots. "I can assure you, she's not a shapeshifter."
"Right…" Luz replied, still completely convinced. She turned to face him and looked like she was about to hug him… but instead she punched him lightly in the shoulder. "How's it going, Little Dipper?"
Dipper chuckled and punched Luz lightly in the arm. "Pretty weird, so the usual. Glad to see you after so long."
Luz nodded and smiled at him. "Oh, and I would like you to meet some of my friends from the Boiling Isles that I've told you about, King and Gus."
"I am the King of Demons, I have never been to the human world before now, but soon I will spread my rule to all worlds," King said, but Mabel just looked at him in awe.
"Oh my gosh, he's such a wittle cutie!" Mabel hugged King.
"No, stop! I demand you to put me down!" King struggled at first in her grip, but then felt her rubbing his belly. "Oh no, belly rubs! My main weakness!"
"Who's a good boy? Yes, you are!" Mabel cooed at King.
Luz snickered at King's predicament, but then turned back to Dipper. "So uh… when were you going to tell me you have a sister?"
"Actually, I only just learned about Mabel earlier this summer, it's a long story," Dipper answered. He looked at Gus. "And you must be Gus, right?"
"Gus Porter, honor student at Hexside School of Witchcraft and Demotics, part of the Illusionary Track, and Luz's best friend, as well as president of the Human Appreciation Society," Gus introduced himself, raising his own fist. "So I greet you with a punch to the arm or shoulder?"
"Sure, just punch away," Dipper said and Gus gave him a light punch to the arm.
The young witchling's eyes lit up. "I have discovered another human greeting… I need to document this."
"Hey, I'm Mabel, what do you see in a girl?" Mabel asked Gus, while Dipper rolled his eyes at her latest attempt at flirting with every cute boy she met.
"Uh… whoa, are you magnetic?" Gus asked.
"Ooh, jumping to the smooth lines," Mabel replied with a grin.
"Those metal wires in your teeth, do they make you magnetic?" Gus asked again, pointing at her braces. "Just why do humans give kids wires? How do they work?"
"Um… is this part of the pick up line?" Mabel questioned, not sure how to respond.
"Don't mind him, Gus is just really super interested in humans," Luz explained while King used this opportunity to crawl behind her away from Mabel after squirming out of her grasp.
"Luz, protect me from the other girl-human!" King begged while hiding from Mabel.
"Aw, come on, I can't help but find you adorable," Mabel stated.
"Alright, King, why don't you stay here and watch the viewing box," Luz told him, putting King on the couch. "Dips, got a remote for him?"
"Sure, here." Dipper found the remote and turned on the TV before handing it to King.
"Wait, what is this?" King looked at the TV and watched a contestant spinning a wheel. "Wow, I didn't you guys have Wheel of Torture in this dimension." But to his disappointment, it was not the show he usually watched.
"Congrats!" said someone on the television. "You are this episode's winner of Cash Wheel!"
"Ugh, where's the torture?" King groaned as he used the remote, flipping through a lot of channels while the kids left him be. "So many channels… wait, what's this?" He was now watching a black and white film with a giant spider. "Oooh, now this is entertainment! Eat them, giant spider! Eat them!"
In the gift shop of the Mystery Shack were the hired help. One was a tall, redheaded teenage girl with freckles dressed in a green flannel shirt, jeans and muddied black boots. She was sitting behind the counter with the cash register and was looking at something on her phone screen. "Heh, classic Thompson," she said to herself.
The other employee was a Hispanic-American stocky young man in his twenties with buck teeth like a beaver. He wore a light brown cap, a jaded shirt with a stylized black question mark, beige pocket shorts, and dark brown shoes with socks. Currently he was fixing up a toaster. "Alright, here's the problem… someone stuck a fork in this," he stated, noticing the fork sticking out of the toaster. He turned to his co-worker. "Say Wendy, do you ever get the feeling that we exist simultaneously in multiple parallel universes completely unaware of the others' very existence?"
The redhead, Wendy, looked up from her phone. "Have you been licking yourself again, Soos?"
Before Soos could answer, they were interrupted by Luz making her entrance by kicking the door to the gift shop from the house open. "Guess who's here for the weekend!?"
"Yo, Clawthorne!" the redhead shouted as Luz walked up to her and the two clasped their hands together.
"Wendy Corduroy, you ol' son of a woodsman!" Luz greeted.
"Wendy? Oh, I know! She must be the runner of the fast food business!" Gus guessed, holding up his own camera.
"Mmm, I do tend to keep up with the many food chains," Wendy replied, playing along. She looked at Luz. "Who's this guy, Luz? Friend of yours?"
"This is Gus, he wanted to see the human world so I'm letting him tag along this time," Luz explained, before turning to the other employee. "Hey Soos! Still fixing up the Shack?"
"You know it, Luz!" the handyman replied.
"Whoa, is he some kind of gerbil man?" Gus asked Luz when he noticed Soos.
"Sure, we got gerbil people around here," Luz jokingly responded, but Gus pretty much took it literally. "Soos here can fix just about anything."
Soos chuckled, flattered. "How's it hanging, Luz? Still causing your usual brand of trouble?"
"As always," Luz told him.
"Wow, you sure know everyone around here," Mabel commented as she and Dipper followed them into the gift shop.
"Luz here has a reputation around the Shack, as well as the… entire town," Dipper explained. "She's quite infamous, actually."
"Wow, Luz is pretty infamous from where we're from as well," Gus explained. "Like, she once destroyed detention, traumatized the Healing Track teacher with the Choosy Hat, made the Abominations Track haunted, once caused a jailbreak, made a pyramid scheme, even got arre-"
"Say, Gus!" Luz interjected. "How would you like to go into town and get a personal tour of Gravity Falls?"
"Really?" Gus asked, his expression hopeful. "My first human town!?"
"Yep," Luz told him, turning to Soos. "Hey, Soos? You can give us a ride, right?" A small explosion came from Soos' direction as he pulled the fork from the toaster.
"Of course, dudes!" he said as he patted out some small fires on his clothes.
"First I should tell Stan we're going out," Dipper mentioned before leaving to find Stan. "He's probably still with Eda."
Placing the coffee down at the table, Eda and Stan started catching up. Despite some initial awkwardness, it seemed to be going well.
"You know, I always thought you were a little bit of a spitfire, but I never would have imagined that you were and actual witch," Stan commented.
"Yup," Eda replied while eating a corn chip from a bag. "Honestly, I was expecting you to be more shocked by that."
"Lady, I live in Gravity Falls," Stan waved it off. "I've seen my fair share of the strange, bizarre and the, eh, macabre. My ex-wife being from the demon realm is normal in comparison."
Eda nodded. "How'd you end up in a place like this anyway?"
Stan rubbed the back of the neck. "Uh, that's a funny story…"
In another room, Luz was sitting on the couch with her arms wrapped around her knees. She was shy around Mason, who sat next to her. Both looked at each other in an awkward silence.
"So uh… you're from… another world…" Mason said, trying to spark a conversation with her.
"Yeah…" Luz replied, nodding slightly.
More awkward silence. "Well, what's it like in your world?" Mason asked curiously. "Are there like dragons? Other witches? Do other humans live there as well?"
"Um…"
Mason realized that Luz was uncomfortable and he tried to think of another way to break the ice with her. "Wanna see my birthmark?"
"Your… what?" Luz asked him and the boy lifted his hair up to show the birthmark on his forehead. "Whoa…"
"Yeah, I know," Mason replied. "Stan calls it the Lil' Dipper because the mark is shaped like the Big Dipper, which is an asterism consisting of seven bright stars of the constellation Ursa Major."
"Oh, like the bear demon?" Luz asked, moving a bit closer to him.
"Uh," Mason responded, noticing that he had sparked her interest. "Not exactly. The Ursa Major I'm talking about is a pattern formed in the sky by stars which represents an animal. I didn't know there was a demon bear with the same name."
"Yeah, my mom fought one once because it was trying to get the last bludgeon fish at the market," Luz explained. Mason noticed a bug that was crawling out from her hair and he tried to point it out. "Oh nice, lunch!" Luz said, picking the bug from her hair and eating it in front of him much to Mason's surprise. She then realized something. "I should have probably offered it to you first, right?"
"It's no problem, I was good anyway," Mason assured her. "Already had watermelon earlier, you know."
Luz nodded and smiled. "You're pretty smart, aren't you? To know all that stuff about stars, I mean."
"Thanks," Mason said with a smile. "And you're pretty weird, which I mean as a compliment." He pointed at his birthmark. "I like weird."
Luz nodded. "Mom always said that weirdos should stick together."
The (human) population of Gravity Falls were just going on with their everyday lives. Especially in Greasy's Diner, where the townies come to eat in uninterrupted peace…
"SHE'S BACK! SHE'S BACK!" Bursting through the door was the local kook, Old Man McGucket, capturing the attention of the diner's customers. "OF ALL THINGS MCGURGLE, SHE'S BACK!" he shouted, waving his hands around.
"Old Man McGucket, calm yourself!" said a chubby African-American man with gray hair and a gray mustache named Sheriff Blubs.
"Yeah, just tell us who's back?" asked Lazy Susan, a waitress with a lazy eye and gray beehive style hair..
"Well if you just let me finish, while I was walking around the woods heading for my swimmin' hole," Old Man McGucket explained. "I spotted a magical portal-"
"Oh here we go, another one of your dad's crazy stories," the lanky and pale Deputy Durland mentioned to a man with short, brown hair and an olive green baseball cap, Tate McGucket.
"Oh dad…" Tate sighed to himself as a black haired teenager with tight skinny jeans and a light black hoodie with a picture of a red bleeding heart with stitches on it filmed the scene with his phone.
"Well fine, don't hear out crazy Old Man McGucket, warning you that Stan Pines' crazy ex is back!" McGucket shouted, only for Lazy Susan to hit him with a broom, driving him outside.
"Go on, git!" Lazy Susan shouted as the old man scampered back into the woods.
"Wait a second, what was that about Stan's crazy ex?" Durland asked as he turned to his partner.
"Stan's ex… wait… you don't mean…!?" Blubs realized in panic.
"YOUR FAVORITE ROCKSTAR WITCH GIRL'S HERE!"
Lazy Susan gasped and Durland screamed as Luz Clawthorne entered the diner, carrying her bat over her shoulders. Following her were Gus, Dipper, Mabel and Soos. When Luz came in, everyone just froze. "Hey, guess I'm here sooner than later. Guessing you weren't warned in advance, huh?"
'No… no we weren't…' they all thought as they tried to go back to eating.
"Lazy Susan, how's your eye?" Luz asked as she greeted the waitress, then turned around. "Hey Tate! Just saw your dad coming out! Durland, Blubs, haven't seen you two since April Fools' Day."
Durland shuddered as she remembered the last time he and Blubs saw Luz. "So… many… water balloons…" He then passed out on the floor.
Luz picked a booth, which was currently occupied by the teen with tight jeans and a hoodie. "Hey Robbie, mind if me and my friends take this booth?"
"Uh, no, I'm hanging out at this booth," Robbie told her while looking at his phone.
"You're not even eating here, just hanging out with your phone," Luz pointed out, giving a smirk. "Unless you want to let people know about your love of-"
Robbie's eyes widened as he stood up and walked out. "Pssh, whatever, this place got lame around with you dorks here anyway."
"Wow, I've never seen a human angsty teenager with red warts before," Gus commented, making Dipper snicker.
"See guys? Best seat in the house." Luz sat by the window, where she was spotted by a family outside.
"Oh no, it's her!" the dad shouts. "It's really her!"
"Kids, get back in the car!" the mother told her kids. "We're going to Nebraska!"
"Wow, you really are infamous here," Gus noticed, sitting next to Luz while Dipper, Mabel and Soos sat across from them.
"Oh you have no idea, witch dude," Soos told him.
Luz looked at the menu while setting her bat aside. "Yep, around here I'm the reason parents tell their kids to behave and not fall into the bad crowd. You should hear some of the rumors that the locals have spread about me and my mom."
"Hey, Dipper, Mabel, and it looks like you're back in town, Luz," Lazy Susan said as she walked up to their book. "How long are you here for?"
"Just the weekend," Luz answered, stretching her arms out.
"Oh, well that's nice," Lazy Susan said before turning to Dipper and Mabel. "Can I get you kids anything or the usual for you guys?"
"We'll have the usual," Dipper told her.
"Great, and what would you and your friend have, Luz?" Lazy Susan asked.
"I've never tried human food in the human world before, so I guess I'll have what they're having," Gus decided.
"I'm feeling experimental today," Luz said to Susan. "I'll be trying the hot sauce pancake special!"
"You want… hot sauce… on your pancakes?" Susan questioned.
"The hottest sauce you can put in," Luz nodded, grinning wildly.
"Okay, a little off the menu, but we'll see what we can do," Susan said before shouting to the kitchen. "Hey Earl! The usual at the Pines twins, and one special for She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!"
"I never met someone who eats hot sauce with their pancakes," Mabel admitted.
"I can just eat about anything," Luz replied. "Thanks to all the Boiling Isles food that I've eaten over the years, my taste buds are completely different."
"That's why she makes the most bizarre orders whenever we go out and eat," Dipper explained.
Soon Lazy Susan came back, handing everyone their order, including Luz's order of a very red pancake with ranch dipping at the side.
"Hehehe, I wonder if this is the fire-alarm or begging for death kind of hot sauce," Luz said with a chuckle. She started eating the hot pancakes, taking a bite and chewing on it. "Mmm, now that's the stuff." She did not notice the steam coming out from her ears.
As everyone looked worried at the unfazed Luz, Blubs passed by while carrying the passed out Durland. "I am only going to say this once, Clawthorne," the sheriff warned. "Stay out of trouble." He looked at Gus, noticing his pointed ears. "And tell your friend here that he's wearing his costume a day early, Summerween is tomorrow." He then went on his way.
"Summerween?" Gus asked while eating.
"Oh yeah, it's a Gravity Falls holiday around this time of year, we just like Halloween so much, we celebrate it twice a year," Dipper explained.
"Aw man, I completely forgot about Summerween," Luz admitted. "Glad I came back when I did, because Summerween is great."
"Guess they think your ears are part of some costume," Soos told Gus as he ate his hash browns. "Like an elf or a witch boy… can witches be boys?"
"Those are called wizards," Mabel answered, which made Luz and Gus laugh. "What's so funny?"
"Hehe, witch has actually always been a gender neutral term in the Boiling Isles," Gus chuckled as he ate the pancake. "Mmm, now this is good!"
"Yeah, the idea of witches just being girls is a common human misconception," Luz explained. "Other misconceptions include wearing pointy hats, riding on broomsticks, and being melted by water. Then again, there are plenty of witches who believe that humans can spit acid, so there are a lot of misconceptions on both sides."
Luz didn't notice the tears pouring out from her now red eyes due to the hot pancakes, but Mabel did. "Do you need some milk or do you need a hospital?"
"I have no idea what you mean," Luz said while a bit of flame came out of her mouth.
"Next, next, next." King kept flipping through channels with the remote until a pig walked into the room and settled down on the rug in front of him. "What the… who dares sits before his king?!" King demanded, but the pig just looked at him. "Oh, so you wish to challenge your king, eh? Francois, attack the blasphemer!"
King threw his stuffed rabbit at the pig, which just lightly bounced off of him. The pig responded by taking a nap.
King laughed "I've knocked out my enemy, with Francois' help, I rule again!" He then heard clapping and he turned to see Stan in the doorway.
"Hehe, you're right, Edalyn, this cute skull guy is hilarious!" Stan chuckled as Eda stood by him.
"Yeah, watching King's antics never gets old back home," Eda said, leaning on Stan by her elbow.
"You know, a scruffy, um, demon dog would make a good Mystery Shack attraction," Stan considered. "Think of all the moolah people would give just to look at him." This caught King's interest.
"Hold up, are you saying that people would come to see me, the King of Demons, and throw their money at me?" King asked.
"Tell ya what, I could give you a cut to 50/50, or 60/40-" Stan offered but King cut him off.
"Your world's currency is not useful for me, it's the glory and fame I crave!" King insisted and Stan smiled.
"Oh, I like this guy," Stan said as he and King shook on it.
'Oh boy,' Eda thought, wondering if putting the two in the same room together was a mistake. "Well if King's going to be involved, maybe I should help out as well while I'm here."
"Right, and I know just the right attraction for ya, Eda," Stan told her.
"Oh, you don't need to flatter-"
"-me," she said dryly, sitting on a chair at a museum display with a sign that read 'Ex-Wife From Hell'. A tourist took a photo of her. "I really walked into that one."
"And over here is our new attraction, for a limited time only - at a high price - come see the King of Demons!" Stan, who was now wearing his eyepatch, told some tourists as he showed them King.
King, inside a tent, basked in the amazement and awe of the tourists as they took photos of him. "That's right, bask in my glory as you witness the King of Demons!" King told them while posing. "And make sure you get my good side."
After the diner, and giving Luz some water before she set it on fire, they showed Gus around the small town of Gravity Falls. When people spotted Luz they either went the other way, tried their best to ignore her, or they gave her a loathing look.
"That's their bazaar," Luz explained, pointing at a mall. "And over there's the Skull Fracture, the seediest bar in town." She looked over at the bouncer, a large black man with tattoos, tank top and jeans. "How's it hanging, Tats?"
"Clawthorne…" Tats narrowed his eyes at the girl, who just stuck her tongue at him.
"What's that over there?" Gus asked as he pointed at the local church.
"Oh that's just a sheep house." Luz answered. "I got banned from it for being a heathen after I disagreed with their 'only one man and one woman' beliefs, something that we don't have in the Boiling Isles. I honestly don't understand how humans can be so regressive sometimes."
"Clawthorne!" shouted the local reverend, who shook his fist at Luz in anger.
"That's the shepherd." Luz pointed out. "I lit a rocket underneath his podium once, which is the other reason I got banned. Oh, you should definitely see what their arcade is like! Hopefully I'm not banned there!" She pulled both Gus and Dipper to where the arcade was, with Mabel and Soos following in pursuit.
"Hey, wait up!" Mabel shouted, trying to keep up. But Luz was already gone with the boys.
"Don't take it personal, Mabel," Soos assured her. "I mean, whenever Luz comes around, she and Dipper are pretty inseparable, even if they're just step-siblings."
Hearing that made Mabel look down, feeling a twinge of envy for Luz and her close relationship with Dipper. "Right…"
"It was pretty hard for them, Edalyn," Stan said, sitting outside on the front porch with Eda. "His parents weren't expecting twins and they turned to me when they were looking for someone to take care of Mason for them." He sighed sadly. "I never broke the truth about it. I don't know how to tell the kid about his parents giving him up or his twin sister. Right now he thinks that they're gone, but he's going to learn the truth some day and I am not looking forward to that conversation. I am trying to do my best for the kid, but there is still a lot about this parenting thing that I just don't know. What about your Luz? How did you end up with her?"
"Well, she already knows that she's adopted and that her biological mother passed away," Eda answered. "I found her in one of your human cars as you call them. I was too late to save the mother, she was already gone by the time that I got there. At first, I was just gonna find Luz a new home and people that could take care of her, but eventually I just couldn't part with her and I decided to raise her as my own. It isn't easy, but I really do love that kid and I want to do right by her." She looked down, twiddling her hands. "However, there was… an incident, three years ago at the slayground…"
"Slayground?" Stan asked. "Is that your world's version of a playground?"
"Yeah," Eda confirmed. "I was at the market, my daughter wanted to play at the slayground but I wanted her to stay close to me. She was such a happy little girl until…" She started to tear up before sucking it in. "She snuck off to the slayground when I wasn't looking and then got accidentally outed as a human. The crowd had never seen a human before, they didn't understand. But what they did to her…" She felt Stan's hand patting hers in comfort.
"I'm sorry that happened to her, Eda," Stan told her, sighing. "Sounds like your world's not so different from here. There will always be bullies and there will always be people who get targeted for being different. For example, Mason got picked on by bullies for his birthmark and felt ashamed of it. I'm trying to teach him that he has nothing to be ashamed of, that the problem is the small-minded bullies and not the birthmark that makes him unique. I'm also starting him off with some boxing lessons, just like what my old man used to do. I want to toughen him up, so that he can fight back and defend himself whenever things get ugly."
"Toughen up the kid?" Eda considered, before he noticed Luz and Mason running up to them.
"Mom! Mom! Guess what!" Luz was holding up a pixie. "They have pixies around here!"
"Nice," Eda said, looking at Stan. "Pixies were always one of her favorite treats back in the Boiling Isles."
"I was showing Luz around and we found a hive of pixies near the forest," Mason explained. "Luz ate a lot of them!" Luz bit off the head of the screaming pixie and as she chewed, her mouth was full of glitter. "It was glitter-bath."
Eda laughed. "That's my girl…"
When it was around closing time, Wendy started to get ready to head home. As she wrapped it up for the day, she noticed Stan and King burst out from a pile of the money while laughing evilly.
"This is the most money I've made in a single day since forever and it's all thanks to this little guy!" Stan said as he hugged King.
"Don't mention it, now my fame shall be known, and they will make religion out of me!" King laughed.
"Maybe it was a mistake to bring King here," Eda mentioned, leaning against the counter. Wendy smirked in amusement before Eda turned to her. "So how's teenage life, woods girl?"
"Eh, pretty much same old, same old," Wendy shrugged as she grabbed her stuff. "Almost got killed in a haunted mom and pop store."
"First time almost getting yourself killed by ghosts?" Eda asked and Wendy nodded. "You'll get used to it eventually." While Eda continued to watch Stan and King bathing themselves in money, Wendy headed out of the Mystery Shack.
Soos's truck pulled up as Wendy started to leave and she noticed Dipper, Luz and Gus coming back from a day of sightseeing.
"Man, I can't believe I got all of these great pics for the H.A.S., they're never gonna believe what a pancake tastes like!" Gus stated as Luz patted him on the back.
"Come on, I have to do some studying in Dips' room," Luz told him.
"Well, it's actually mine and Mabel's room now… we've had to share a room since she got here," Dipper explained, making Luz frown a little. Dipper noticed this. "Um, Luz…"
"Hey, no big deal. It'll be like one big sleepover with the four of us," Luz replied with her toothy grin. She put her arm around his shoulder. "Which reminds me, I should probably tell you what Hexside is like…"
Behind them was Mabel, who all day had been noticing how her twin brother got along so easily with this… Luz girl. As the others went back inside the Shack, Wendy noticed the young female twin moping around. "Hey, you alright, Mabel?"
"Oh, Wendy! It's nothing." Mabel tried to deny it, but Wendy could tell something was up.
"Does this have to do with Luz?" Wendy asked while Mabel looked down. "Ah, you're jealous."
"I-I'm not!" Mabel insisted, rubbing her arm. "But… seeing Luz being that close to Dipper does make me feel… left out." She sat down and Wendy joined her. "I mean, they have so much history together and I still only just got here. And I don't think she likes me that much."
"Hey, she'll come around," Wendy assured her. "When I first met Luz, she wasn't so sure about me, heck she'd make sure I didn't go near Dipper. She's practically his overprotective big sis. But give it time, she warms up to everyone eventually."
"That's the problem," Mabel admitted. "Luz is already like Dipper's sister and from the stories I've heard, how can I compete with the cool bad girl sister who was adopted by a witch?!" she felt an assuring pat on the head by Wendy.
"It doesn't have to be a competition," Wendy pointed out. "I know you came here to meet your brother, but there is nothing saying that Dipper can't have more than one sister… or that you can only have one sibling."
"I have always wanted a sister," Mabel said, tapping her chin before snapping her fingers. "I think that I may know a way to connect with Luz. Thanks for the advice, Wendy! See you tomorrow!"
Wendy smiled as Mabel ran inside the Mystery Shack. "No problem," she said before starting the walk home.
"Alright, so watch when I do this." Luz held up her card and tapped the glyph on it, only for the card to disintegrate. Gus looked shocked by this.
"No way, you can't do magic here?" Gus asked.
"Yeah, it turns out that humans can't do magic naturally here, usually the only way for humans to do magic is by use of magical artifacts or cursed items," Luz explained. "Like a certain so-called seer around here."
"Ugh, don't remind me," Mabel said as she entered the room, getting everyone's attention. "Hey Luz! How are ya?"
"Um… great, Mabel," Luz responded.
"So… because of where you are from and your experiences with magic, I thought there was something you might like to see," Mabel explained as she walked over to her bed. She pulled out a big, red book with a golden six-finger handprint and the number three inscribed on the cover. "Behold the mysterious Journal!" She raised it up for all to see.
"A mysterious journal?" Gus asked, curious.
"Looks cool," Luz said simply.
"Oh it gets cooler than that, sista," Mabel explained, flipping through the pages. "I found this journal in the woods and it is written by an author documenting all the weird goings-ons in Gravity Falls. The identity and fate of the author is unknown, but he wrote about a lot of the weird stuff that Dipper and I have encountered."
"Oh, like the ghosts and barf fairies?" Luz asked her. "I remember eating the pixies here. Good proteins."
Mabel paused. "You eat… pixies?"
"Yeah, they are one of my favorite treats in the Boiling Isles," Luz explained. "Sometimes I eat them raw, but I also love Fairy Pies."
"I've been using the journal to investigate the mysteries of Gravity Falls," Dipper explained. "Though Mabel lets me borrow it on the condition that I bring her and her friends along on her missions."
"Does Stan know about the journal?" Luz asks him.
"No, he doesn't," Dipper told her. "He prefers me keeping my head low and doesn't want me involved if it can be helped. I know that he is just looking out for me, but I can't let him take this from me. I can't just play dumb for the rest of my life. I need answers about what really is happening in this town."
"Ah, I knew you had a rebellious side, Dips," Luz commented, giving Dipper a light punch in the shoulder. "I've been trying to talk Gus into getting his ear pierced, but he's too much of a good boy."
"I said that I'll consider it," Gus told her.
"I also have a theory about who could be behind the disappearance of the journal's author," Dipper mentioned, nodding to Mabel as she flipped to a part of the journal that showed a drawing of a hooded figure on the left page and the symbol of a crossed out eye on the right page.
"Hey, I've seen those symbols around town," Gus stated.
"The Blind Eye…" Luz whispered.
"Yup, the mysterious society that looms over this town," Dipper responded with a nod, before flipping over a board he had in the room to reveal a side covered in notes and photographs. "I've known about them for most of my life. I've seen their symbol, I've caught a glimpse of their hooded members, and I've seen the effect that they have on people who know or have seen too much. Me and Stan have managed to avoid them this long by playing dumb. But after Mabel found this journal and I told her about the Blind Eye, we began an investigation into one of the greatest mysteries of Gravity Falls. Whoever this Blind Eye Society is, they seem to hold a lot of influence around town in order to cover up its supernatural happenings. Which made it easier to create a list of suspects that may be connected to the Blind Eye, people with authority or control over the media."
Luz looked at the board, recognizing several of the photos on the board. Of particular note were Blubs and Durland, whose photos were crossed out. "So the sheriff and his deputy are out, but Toby Determined and Shandra Jimenez are still suspects, as are Tad Strange and… the mayor." She noticed a photo of the old town coot with a question mark drawn on it to indicate uncertainty.
"We suspected Blubs and Durland at first, but recently they had the chance to turn us over to the society if they were involved so we think they are just as clueless as most of the town," Mabel explained.
"We also suspect the Northwests, save for their daughter, due to their influence and resources," Dipper pointed to a photo of a mustached tanned man and a brown haired, big lipped woman with too much botox. There was one more photo that was crossed out. "There was this guy named Blendin. I started seeing him around and I suspected that he could be involved… but his deal was something else entirely and it's a long story."
"Wow, the human world is even more mysterious than I thought," Gus commented as Mabel let him look at the journal. He flipped through some pages until he stopped at one and gasped in horror. "Giraffes are also here!?"
"Don't worry Gus, me and mom checked," Luz assured, much to Gus' relief. "Giraffes are practically harmless here."
"Wait, giraffes are some kind of other worldly demon?" Mabel asked.
"Yeah, Luz has told me before that the giraffes originally came from the demon realm before they were banished," Dipper noted. "According to her mom, they were soul sucking creatures in the Boiling Isles but it seems like over time they became more docile. Probably as a result of their biology adapting to the human world."
"Yeah, all of that bio-science stuff…" Luz waved it off. "Okay, now we should get studying before Mom comes to rag on us about it."
"I got my flashcards with me," Gus replied, holding them up..
"Wait, you guys have to study now?" Mabel questioned. "In the middle of summer?"
"Well yeah, we have Hexside semester exams coming up and I'm gonna need my brain to be ready for the written test," Luz told her.
"But don't you guys have some kind of seasonal vacation?" Mabel asked in concern.
"Sure, during the fall season," Gus mentioned. "From September to the end of November."
"Wow, I didn't know you'd be this excited about school," Dipper commented, surprised at Luz hitting the books.
"Well, yeah," Luz said. "Learning glyphs was great and all, but mom believed that I would benefit more if I went to a school like Hexside. It's all part of my plan to eventually be the most powerful witch on both worlds." She felt Dipper punch her on the shoulder and she smirked.
"Well if anyone can pull that off, it would be you," he told her with a smile.
Later, Luz climbed onto the roof to watch the sunset and Dipper followed with a cooler. The two sat down with their backs against the roof, enjoying the view.
"Is it nice being back in Gravity Falls?" Dipper asked as he threw a soda can for Luz to catch.
"You know it, Dips!" Luz replied, opening the can of soda and drinking from it. "It's… nice seeing you again, Dipper. I honestly needed this."
"Yeah, it's been a while since your last visit," Dipper said as he opened up his can. "Sorry that I couldn't talk when you called me a while ago, Stan was hosting a party in the Shack and I was busy helping him out. Though while that was going on, Mabel and her new friends used a magic copy machine to bring a werewolf from the cover of an age inappropriate romance novel to life."
"Sounds like the usual weirdness," Luz replied with a snicker. "Man, has Wendy gotten hotter since the last time I saw her? You used to be so awkward around her."
"He-hey! Why'd you have to bring that up?" Dipper laughed while lightly punching Luz's shoulder. "I got over Wendy a long time ago. But yeah, I was so obvious around her."
"I think I honestly know how you feel," Luz mentioned awkwardly. "Because back home… I have a crush now. A serious one."
"Oh, really?" Dipper asked. "Is it someone older?"
"We're the same age," Luz answered. "She's my classmate and tutor. Her name is Amity."
"Are you gonna tell her how you feel?" Dipper wanted to know.
"Eventually, yes," Luz told him. "At least, that is the plan." She shook her head. "But enough about my love life, tell me about Mabel. I mean, it must be strange learning that you have a twin sister you knew about. What's that like?"
Dipper sighed. "I'm gonna sound like a jerk for saying this, but… it's just so… jarring. I don't like saying it, but I'm still not used to it since I didn't feel like a twin sister was something missing in my life. I've had you, Soos, and Wendy."
Luz nodded. "I know the feeling… I just recently learned that I have an aunt that I never knew. She is the head of the Emperor's Coven and last I saw her… was when she had to bail me out of jail."
"Oof, jail?" Dipper asked.
"All I did was write blasphemous satiric graffiti about our emperor," Luz clarified. "But she is trying to make my mom join the Emperor's Coven, so I'm probably going to be seeing a lot more of Aunt Lilith in the future.."
"Man, sounds like both of our lives are getting complicated," Dipper stated and they both took a sip from their soda.
"Think that's complicated, my crush is also a girl that I used to loathe and currently me and my other friend Willow are taking a break from our friendship. Though Gus is worried that it will mean a friendship-divorce."
"Friendship-divorce?" Dipper asked. "Man, I know that feeling with Gideon…"
"That little bastard is still giving you a hard time?" Luz asked.
"He tried to get back at me by targeting Mabel, but I doubt he is going to try anything while you're in town," Dipper explained.
"Got my old bat just in case," Luz grinned. She paused. "Our lives may be going through some changes right now… but maybe it's for the better. Because change can be a good thing. Though you know what, Dipper?"
Dipper looked at her. "Yeah, Luz?"
"...I've missed you," Luz admitted.
"Yeah, I missed you too," Dipper replied and the two looked up at the newly night sky.
On the roof of the Mystery Shack, an eight year old Luz and a six year old Mason looked up at the night sky. Mason pointed out to her where the Big Dipper was aligned along with the Ursa Major.
"So that's where the big demon bear is?" Luz asked.
"Yup." Mason replied. "And that's only one of many constellations that can be found."
"I never knew about any of this," Luz admitted. She looked over at Mason, then felt her own ears. She realized that Mason was the first human that she had really spent time like this with. "There's still a lot of things I don't know much about the human world… I know that I'm human myself but… I feel… so different here."
"Weirdos should stick together," Mason quoted and Luz turned to look at him. "That's what you told me your mother always said. Stan always has his own saying. He says that everyone's a weirdo, it's just that not everybody is willing to admit it. But instead of being what everyone expects you to be, you should just be… the most authentic version of yourself. Because it's better to be a weirdo than a blando!"
The two shared a genuine laugh and in that moment, they became close friends.
Downstairs in the Mystery Shack, Eda heard Luz laughing with Mason and she smiled to herself.
"We're so lucky to have them," she admitted to Stan.
"Yeah," Stan agreed. "You have a pretty great kid, Eda." He was silent for a few seconds as he thought something over. "You know… you don't have to be a stranger. If you ever need help, you can drop by with Luz anytime. You'll always be welcome here at the Mystery Shack."
"I think Luz would like that very much," Eda nodded. "Thanks, Stan. I really appreciate this. Honestly, I wasn't sure if you would be happy to see me after the way that our marriage ended."
Stan laughed. "It's just great to see you again, Eda. Though you're not the same woman I married in Vegas. You've changed."
"We both changed," Eda pointed out. "But for the better, I think."
And while the two exes smiled at each other, Mason continued to point out constellations to Luz. By the time that Luz would have to go back to the Boiling Isles, she would already be looking forward to seeing the Pines family again and their next… reunion.
Well, looks like nobody expected this kind of reunion.
The Gravity Falls you see before you is based off of the Tumblr AU fan comic by Sailorleo called "Reunion Falls", where it is based off of what if the twins were separate from birth, as Stan raises Dipper while Mabel lives in California with her parents. To GF fans who are familiar with Reunion Falls, I hope this is a good treat for you. And I bet none of y'all ever expected this kind of AU to be part of the Luz Clawthorne universe. So basically it's a crossover, based off of a fanon-AU. So this is basically what this fic has lead to. I mean, I have foreshadowed in the earlier chapters, like read back:
-The phone call before Luz decides to egg the hunters in "The Conjuring Conflict"
-The picture of her with Dipper in "Conjuring Conflict" as well as "Coming to Terms" where she answers to Amity that the boy is "technically her stepbrother"
-Luz referring to Dipper at the H.A.S. meeting after explaining about the universe in "Friendship Dynamics"
Now you've seen how the relationship between Eda and Stan are like in this fic, as well as the relationship between Luz and Dipper in this fic. Luz sees Dipper, aka Mason(his canon name) as a human stepbrother just as much as she sees King and Gus like her brothers. As well as how Luz has a...reputation around Gravity Falls, pretty much as an urban legend about a wayward delinquent girl who comes from the forest, causing trouble to the adults and teenagers around the small and mythical town. For all of the Gravity Falls denizens know, Stan's "crazy-ex" is either a country bumpkin who lives with the hill people, a hippy from a Satanic commute, or if you ask the farmer, she's a literal witch and Luz is her hell spawn.
Gus's inclusion to Luz's trip to the Falls was a suggestion from Buck, who suggested to me about if he comes with to the Falls. After some consideration, I've decided, yeah, that can work. Plus he works as an audience surrogate to be introduced not only Gravity Falls, but a AU of what kind of version the Falls would be, and how Luz's reputation spreads there. And since the "Friendship Dynamics" chapter, Gus pretty much became a much closer friend to Luz in this AU, being the first witch friend to her. Luz and Gus are pretty much like Josuke and Koichi from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures Part 4: Diamonds Are Unbreakable as one partial influence, along with Kara and Garth from DC's Super Hero Girls, and Lena and Webby from DuckTales 2017. It's the kind of dynamic aesthetics that I grew to like.
But the tales of Luz's weekend at the Falls is only the beginning, as we'll follow up with Act 2 of the Falls with Summerween. But it's going to be a whole different kind of Summerween, and it's no joking matter…
Review mail:
BuckJohnson: Thanks, and I've pretty much blasted a lot of people's minds on this.
RonaldM4: Ask Dana.
The Great Fossil King: Well, Luz will be spending the weekend at the Falls, so the events of "Adventures of the Elements" will be a little different.
MysteryGirl7Freak: Like I've respond to you on the PMs, it's nothing like that.
Gamelover41592: Thanks.
Jss2141: Thanks for the suggestion of song.
Ultimate-drax: Hope this chapter will make your head spin. But don't worry, think of this crossover as a small arc. As this is just more of a vacation for Luz, she still has to take the exams. And yeah, the jab is a pretty good take on edge lord fics, based off of my own experience in writing those kinds of fics along with other writers I've collabed that I've lost contact years ago.
Wolvmbm: Well I have seen the newer episodes, but can still work around them. Especially with King and Eda's backgrounds, and have figured thanks to my Beta-Reader that helps me out in suggesting how I can still work around with season 2. As for Luz learning, well it would be spoilers to say how would a teenager would react to news like this…
MagicalGirl23: Thanks for the review.
