That Which Obscures The Sky

Summary: When Reborn comes to Namimori on Vongola Nono's request, he was NOT expecting to find a Sky all for himself. This was not in his job description and the hauntingly familiar face wasn't helping him any. The question now is, what will he do?

Tsuna watched on in something like awe as suddenly, these strange, huge purple spheres with silver spikes appeared out of nowhere and blocked the incoming barrage of red-Flamed bullets. The copies of Hibari-san let out a truly terrifying growl that seemed to set a haze around them and something in Tsuna whispered to him that the haze was actually Mist Flames making illusions to hide them from the enemy. Two of the Hibari-san clones stayed with them, those strange, strange eyes looking outside of the fog they'd created while the third clone turned back into a cat and jumped onto Kusakabe-san's shoulders. That had the Disciplinary Committee's Vice-Chairman on the move again, yelling at Kyoko-chan and Haru to take Tsuna's mom and the kids inside, though I-Pin protested that she could help, too.

Bianchi was kind enough to help his mom to her feet from where she'd been collapsed and they all followed Kusakabe-san as he led them towards the secret entrance to the underground facilities that should have been protecting them from this madness by now. Dr Shamal brought up the rear, keeping a wary eye out for the other two Mists that could probably see through this fog and might come after them.

One of the clones approached him, Yamamoto, Ryohei-niisan and Gokudera-kun, just pointing towards the retreating group as though to indicate they should go, too. But Tsuna refused. No, this was somehow his fault and he wouldn't let Hibari-san fight all on his own, especially since the older teen had made it clear he was doing this because they were citizens of Namimori, not because he was Tsuna's Guardian or something. Hibari-san was showing him his own brand of kindness and Tsuna couldn't just leave him. That would be spitting on everything Hibari-san had ever done for them, even if it might have been unintentional.

"You too, dame-Tsuna," Reborn said and Tsuna felt a shiver go down his spine while that something that always whispered things to him as of late shriveled down in fear. It recognized danger and it was warning him to just run for it. Tsuna so desperately wanted to listen to it but he grit his teeth and stood his ground.

Hibari-san was way outnumbered, even with these strange ... creatures-things that were helping him fight. And Tsuna also didn't want to risk what had happened to him to happen to Hibari-san. Tsuna had been so cold for so long and it wasn't until Reborn had come into his life that he could feel warmth again and even that was also as of very recently. He'd been getting embers to stave off the cold but it had never been enough. Not until the fight against Mukuro and then the Varia. Hibari-san had been roped into both and both time, Hibari-san had faced the most danger.

Besides, if Tsuna was going to be a mafia boss - which he wasn't, let's just make that clear, but in a completely hypothetical situation that he did let Reborn have his way and he takes over the Vongola - then he'd want to make an ally out of Hibari-san, not an enemy.

Nono and his Guardians and the Varia and Dino-san were all outsiders and they weren't Reborn to realize just how strong Hibari-san was and just how much stronger he can still get. The demon prefect was just getting warmed up as they speak. Tsuna wasn't the most in tune with the going ons of Namimori - he'd never had friends until Reborn came and made chaos of his life, for which he was kind of grateful at this point - but his mother was and even he didn't live under a rock. While he'd only recently learned the extents to which their town belonged to Hibari-san, he'd always known just who made sure there were no gangs or yakuza littering their streets, who brought order and discipline to Namimori, why vandalism in their town was so minimized that it was practically nonexistent.

Only fools, newcomers or the suicidal dared try to vandalize Namimori or challenge Hibari-san's rule.

And Tsuna had heard rumors that Hibari-san's reach extended far out of Namimori, too, but he didn't know how far. He knew, however, that one cannot gain that kind of power and influence without riches, connections, skills and strength to back it up.

Hell, Tsuna knew Hibari-san was special given that Reborn respected him and Reborn rarely respected anyone. You had to earn it.

Hibari-san had, seemingly, earned it before Reborn even first confronted the older boy. That's something to admire, honestly. But given how scary the both of them were, he guessed they were just birds of a feather and all.

But that's not the point right now. The point was, those strange spheres were being destroyed and growing back into place all over again, protecting them even though Ryohei-nii-san complained about not being allowed to fight - just what the hell was he planning to do against bullets!? - and they were Hibari-san's doing, who was already busy enough fighting the Varia and Nono's Guardias but had still taken the time to ensure they, the 'herbivores', would be safe and can make an escape. And Tsuna couldn't repay that kindness with just leaving it all to Hibari-san.

"No," he told Reborn, even if disobeying his home tutor could always come with painful punishment, but that was usually outside of dire situations and this certainly seemed dire enough.

"Excuse me," the tone of voice that came from the baby was so terrifying that Tsuna nearly lost his grip on his Flames altogether, let alone how his Intuition was trying to hide, but he did his best to stand firm.

"I won't leave Hibari-san to fight on his own. Surely this is too much, even for him."

"If Juudaime stays, I stay!" Gokudera-kun, predictably, declared and Yamamoto just laughed before that scary glint that reminded him of Reborn settled into his eyes.

"You can count on me," the newly minted swordsman says and even Ryohei-niisan is getting even more pumped up than usual, not releasing any coherent words other than "EXTREME!" which was just his usual.

"You have no idea what you are getting into," the hitman said, for once no coy smile in sight. Tsuna could definitely believe he's a hitman when he's like this and not just some crazy, weird baby that had entered his life to create chaos. "Leave everything to Hibari and me. We'll be getting back up too, anyway, if the two of us can't handle it, but it's unlikely we'll need it. Just go inside and take care of your mom and the girls, Tsuna."

"I'm supposed to be some mafia boss, right? How do you expect me to be that if I run from a fight like this?"

Reborn regarded him for a long moment with those inscrutable black eyes of his before bothering to reply. "This isn't your fight, your war. Kyoya won't appreciate my help, let alone your involvement. Just go inside with the others, Sawada Tsunayoshi. There will come a time when you will wage war, but this is not that war. You clearly don't want to fight Hibari Kyoya, which means you don't want to fight the Skylarks, and that sets you apart from two of your predecessors. Maybe you'll even manage to make an alliance with Kyoya one day, when the Vongola-Skylark war is finally over. Until then, you need to live. And with your mother and father still young enough to have at least one more kid, you're not indispensable. You don't want to risk getting killed now. I know I teach you to do everything as though you're dying, with your Dying Will, but this, now, would be suicide. Just go inside, Tsuna. Please."

"I am afraid I can't let that happen, Sawada-dono," Basil said before Tsuna could reply to his tutor and they all turned to see that he had entered Hyper Dying Will Mode, too, and was staring them down with determination born of loyalty to Tsuna's father first and foremost. The Hibari-san clone that had stayed with them hissed, enraged that one of the people it was protecting had dared turn on them. "Thou art to go to thee father and Don Vongola. These be the orders bestowed upon me."

"You bastard! You dare betray Juudaime?! I'll blow you up!"

"Wait, Gokudera-kun-"

But it was too late. Gokudera-kun charged at Basil and the blue eyed, sandy blond didn't hesitate.

The dynamite user fell to the ground, blood gushing from the deep cut going from left hip to right shoulder, gasping for air as Basil finished his move by stepping firmly on his back to keep him down.

"Gokudera/-kun!" Tsuna and his remaining two Guardians called out in worry, but the bomber didn't get back up. Dr Shamal immediately twisted around when he heard whose name they were shouting and even Hibari-san took the time to kick Lussuria back far enough to be able to look over and see what was going on. The Hibari-san clone, though, lunged at Basil with a feral-sounding snarl, quickly disarming the boy and sending him to the ground, beating at him with his tonfa in such a way that Tsuna would have worried for the life of anyone other than the person who had dared hurt his first ever friend.

But Basil somehow managed to put a blue-Flamed hand on the Hibari-san clone on tope of him and its movements slowed down before it seemed to just stop, turn back into a cat and fall asleep. Basil didn't even hesitate to take back his weapon and kill the cat, thankfully a Mist-construct clone and not an actual animal. The way the cat on Kusakabe-san's shoulders growled loud enough for them to hear all the way over here, though, told Tsuna that the strange cat was more than aware that a copy of it had been so brutally murdered.

Basil was not at all what he'd thought of him.

"Sawada-dono," Basil said as he stood back up, pointing that strange weapon at Tsuna this time even as nii-san put Gokudera-kun onto Yamamoto's shoulders. "Thou shall cometh with me."

"I'll make you pay for hurting Octopushead to the EXTREME!" Ryohei-niisan yelled as he, this time, charged Basil. He seems to glow and sparkle in that way that Tsuna knew he was using Flames without even being aware of it. "Maximum Cannon!"

But Basil, while not a boxer, was more experienced and had managed to run from Squalo all the way from Italy, so he managed to dodge the devastating punch and was about to slash at the boxer, too, and Tsuna moved at the last moment to try to stop him, but it turns out he didn't need it, because a shot rang out and Basil was literally blown away, back towards the Vongola side of the mess, before he could even touch Ryohei-niisan.

"Shishou!?" Said Sun explained in surprise and they all looked up to, indeed, see Colonello, being carried by that weird eagle of his or whatever it was.

"Oi, what's going on here, kora? Reborn, explain, kora!" The blond Arcobaleno demanded and Reborn pointed to the other side of the protective wall of spiked spheres that were still being destroyed and regenerated, though the multiplication seems to be going on much, much faster than the destroying. Trust Hibari-san to have stronger Flames than even fully fledged Vongola Guardians! He really was the unbeatable, indestructible Hibari-sama! "Why are you all here and fighting at the meeting place Checkerface gave us, kora?"

'Who the hell is Chekcerface and I hope we don't have to fight him, too,' was all Tsuna could think before Colonello had to start firing back to the Vongola side when they shot at him.

"Hey, kora! What the fuck are you doing, kora!? And what's with that weakass aim, kora!? Didn't you work with Lal Mirch, kora!? How are you even alive, kora!?"

"Welcome to the second Vongola-Skylark war, Colonello," Reborn called out as he finally seemed to grow bored of convincing Tsuna and his group and started jump-climbing the floating, protective spheres. "Don't shoot the Roll spheres and just wait this shit out. The reason Checkerface called for us should be happening soon."

"You know something about that, Reborn!?" The hooded, Varia-affiliated Arcobaleno asked in outrage from the other side. Tsuna wondered if they should try to round the protective wall of these 'Roll' spheres but, with Gokudera-kun injured, he knew they actually had no choice but to follow Reborn's and Hibari-san's earlier instructions and go inside with the others. Dr Shamal was waiting for them, eyes locked on his young protege, so Tsuna nodded to a grim looking Yamamoto and they, along with Ryohei-niisan - who needed Colonello to order him outright to do it - walked over as quickly as they can to the doctor while keeping steady for Gokuder-kun's sake.

"As expected of Reborn-senpai!" Another familiar voice exclaimed and Tsuna didn't recognize it until he looked over and saw the small Carcassa commander/biker, skull, hiding behind a tree and watching the chaos going on behind them. What was he doing here? Colonello was even almost explainable, but why were the other Arcobaleno gathering here!?

"Wait, why would you know, kora!?" Colonello asked, never pausing his shooting as, one by one, those guys that had come with Tsuna's dad fell. Tsuna didn't look too closely, afraid he'll see bloody corpses, which is really not something he needed on top of all the other shit he's been through for the last year or so.

"Does it really matter right now? Either fight or get the fuck out of here! You're distracting the kids from running for their lives."

"We demand answers, kora!"

"Then wait until Fon and Lal come!" Reborn shouted back before releasing an attack the likes of which Tsuna had never seen before. The color was as bright yellow as Ryohei-niisan sometimes got, but somehow even more beautiful and twice as sparkly. It definitely packed a lot more power, as was proven when Reborn's shot not only curved all around the improvised battlefield, but then took out three different people, the first of whom was Lussuria still fighting Hibari-san.

Who did not look impressed at all to lose his ... Well, punching bag, by the looks of the Varia Sun Guardian by the time he, Levi and Iemitsu picked themselves up from where Reborn's shot had deposited them. "Seriously?" The head prefect deadpanned, causing all three Arcobaleno, Xanxus, Squalo and Timoteo to pause and stare incredulously at the teen. Dino-san, as a former student of Reborn, understandably looked a bit scared and they were all expecting Reborn to retaliate in some way to that show of disrespect, but the hitman surprised them even more.

"Your uncle will kill me, like actually kill me, if I let you fight this many idiots alone."

"They're idiots."

"Oh my Pacifier, he looks just like Fon-senpai!" Came Skull's screech that actually hurt Tsuna's ears because it was even more high pitched than anything he's ever managed to produce and that's saying something. "Are you sure you're only his nephew!?"

"You're related to an Arcobaleno!?" Tsuna and Iemitsu, though, had to yell, too, because both Sawadas were, indeed, terrified by that prospect.

"And, by the sounds of it, to the second strongest one," Lussuria all but gushed. "That would explain your excellent form and astonishing speed! Say, would you be a darling and introduce me? Fon-sama is still the best master of martial arts in the world and I'm a big, big fan~!"

"Stay the hell away from my uncle, herbivore," Hibari-san growled in disgust. "Besides, he's already taken by another Sun."

"Good for him," came a new voice and Tsuna wanted to tear his hair out when he saw another baby, this one with green hair, a lab coat and glasses. "He deserves better. Though he should probably change the Flame attribute he's so attracted to."

"Verde, you were always interested in what a Chaos Shot does to the human body, right?" Reborn asks in that overly sweet voice he usually uses before he unleashes a literal lion on Tsuna and his friends. Tsuna suddenly realizes he and his friends should really be going because this really wasn't their fight, was it? Nope. This is some mafia fuckery and because Tsuna won't be a boss, he may as well act his role as a civilian and fuck right out of here so as not to get involved. Especially if Reborn's feeling this saddistic.

"No killing the Arcobaleno until the Solution is implemented," Hibari-san said, already refocused on the fighting going on because Nono's Mist Guardian was now attacking him.

"Kufufufu," the familiar creepy laugh sounded from behind them and Tsuna paled. "Oya, oya, Skylark, what is this? Are you having a party without me? I'm hurt."

Hibari-san looked really pissed off now. The number of 'Roll spheres' doubled and some of them started rotating threateningly and charging towards the Vongola-Varia side, eliciting shocked and slightly panicked shouts as they all scrambled to get out of the way or destroy them lest they be destroyed. "Everyone not an enemy of the Hibari Clan, get into the temple and stay there until I have dealt with these herbivores or else you will also be bitten to death."

"On second thought, are you sure he's related to Fon-senpai at all?"

"He's a Cloud," was all Reborn said in Hibari-san's defense and pretty much everyone grunted in understanding. Tsuna wasn't all that well versed in these Dying Will Flames things, so he just ignored it and started leading his friends past Mukuro again. "And yes, he's related to and even raised by Fon."

"How would you know?" The newest baby, Verde, asked suspiciously. "Did you actually get in contact with Fon? I wish I was there, when he told you about his new flame."

A snort came from within the temple and they all stopped what they were doing, finding the Vindice baby there with his seemingly favorite subordinate/partner. "New flame, right. Like that could ever happen. All Fon-kun babbled about when he was delirious was Kyoya-kun and Reborn-kun. It was embarrassing, really."

"Can we not discuss my uncle's love-life, please?" The prefect sounded truly annoyed now. "Aren't you supposed to be guarding them right now?"

"Nope, Kawahira's doing that," the mummified baby said casually. "Us? We're here to drag the Vongola to Vendicare prison for endangering civilians, fighting in a neutral zone and disregarding the authority of the Hibari Clan right in the capital of their territory. Oh, and don't forget sealing a Flame Active Sky. Sawada Tsunayoshi has been greatly endangered by that action. He's lucky to be alive at all." Tsuna's father cringes at that, Dino-san looks sick and Mukuro rounds on him even in the middle of his fight to stare at him in disbelief, but Tsuna doesn't really understand.

All he knows for sure is that, whatever it is that the Vindice Arcobaleno was talking about, his Flames and Intuition shied away from it with disgust, distrust and anxiety.

"They sealed a Flame Active Sky!?" The incredulous Cavallone boss asked in a high pitched screech usually reserved for the shit Reborn puts his students through. "And Kyoya's already in the mafia?!"

"Don't be ridiculous, Bucking Horse," Hibari-san says with a roll of his eyes. What the ever loving fuck!? Tsuna doesn't usually curse so much, but today is a special day. Besides, he's been around too many mafioso for far too long in the past several months. He blames them. "I'm not a weakling mafioso." Reborn clears his throat. Hibari-san rolls his eyes. Again! "Not you, Reborn. We all know you're special. You're not a herbivore, to start off with, so don't group yourself with them." His demonic home tutor from hell seemed satisfied with that. "I'm a Hibari. We've been ruling the world from the shadows for centuries before you westerners ever even discovered Flames. The Vongola have no foot to stand on about anything, especially not in Namimori. The Sawada, the Yamamoto and the Sasagawa families, descendants from Vongola Primo and his Rain and Sun Guardians respectively, wouldn't exist. The Hibari would, even though we've taken in Alaude at one point. Jiji and I may not have, but who knows what that could have been good for."

"Absolutely fucking nothing," says Reborn with vehemence that only had Hibari-san blinking impassively while the Arcobaleno all seemed to share a sort of knowing look. Even Mammon, though the hooded figure still stood opposite the others.

"You're biased."

"And you're speaking nonsense, Kyoya-dono," a new but familiar voice said and Tsuna and the others all turned to see Yamamoto's dad coming out of the secret underground entrance to the temple or whatever it was. He had a katana at the ready and it might just have been the same one Yamamoto had used against Squalo in the Rain Battle for all Tsuna knew. "You and Fon-san are nothing but a blessing for Namimori and those you've met. Just think of where Kawahira-san would be today if it wasn't for you! Or that Mukuro kid!"

"Voooiiii! What the hell is Akai Ame doing here?!" Squalo yelled and several people not used to the man by now winced at the noise. Hibari-san just looked a notch more murderous by the second.

"Oi, dad, why are you calling Hibari with 'dono'?" Yamamoto asked his father in confusion and Tsuna decided to just sit back and watch this drama unfold. Yes, Reborn was that bad of an influence if Tsuna was willing to just let things go to hell for his own curiosity and amusement.

"I've served his clan before for many years and his father, uncle and I were close friends. I serve Hibari Kyoya today with honor so we may protect our hometown from the Vongola."

"Your own son is to be a Vongola Guardian, Tsuyoshi," Tsuna's own father commented and Yamamoto's dad rolled his eyes.

"Kyoya-dono has more claim on him than Sawada Tsunayoshi-kun does by virtue of territory and Flames compatibility to booth."

"The compatibility between a Cloud and a Rain is really not all that significant," coolly replied Nono's own Rain, not even casting a glance towards Hibari-san's counterpart in their own group. "Please do not interfere, retired swordsman-san," Barbanter said, drawing a rapier from its scabbard. The thin sword is immediately cowered in blue Flames, lighting up the man's face in a menacing, creepy way. "This no longer concerns you."

"I agree," Hibari-san said before launching a chain at the swordsman. The man dodged, just barely, but did. He didn't dodge the return swing of the retreating chain, though, and it hit him on the head hard enough that he stumbled and nearly fell to his knees. "All of you should just get inside and stay out of this fight. The more herbivores I have to protect, the less fun this fight is."

"Then just learn to share the fun," threw back Reborn.

"Besides," commented Yamamoto's dad with that same scary glint in his eyes that Yamamoto got whenever he got really serious. "I don't think the current Sword Emperor would just let me walk away now."

Squalo's grin was just as scary. "Voi! You got that right, Akai Ame! I should have guessed that the katana boy was your son!" The Varia SIC swung his sword a few times in what appeared to be excitement. "Let's see what the old school has to offer!" And before anyone knew what was going on, the two swordsmen were already at it, exchanging blows in such quick succession that it was practically impossible to keep up. Squalo had truly been underestimating and going easy on Yamamoto during the ring battles if this was how the second Sword Emperor and previously nominated Varia boss truly fought.

"Oya, oya, should we finish our fight from last time, Arcobaleno?" Mukuro said as his right eye suddenly started glowing with Mist Flames and what looked like actual hell opened up around him and the Varia Mist, only for one of Hibari-san's clones to jump in between them. With the battling Mist Flames all around, the strange Mist-cat's illusionary transformation fell away, leaving only the black cat itself. It hissed and growled threateningly at Mukuro, dispelling his illusions as the sound seemed to vibrate around the horror world the two Mists were creating in the middle of their fight.

"The Arcobaleno are needed unharmed and at full strength, pineapple carnivore," Hibari-san called from where he had finally engaged Xanxus. Levi had gone to help his boss but found himself facing a very determined Kusakabe-san, who blocked his way to his Chairman. When the Vice-Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee had returned from escorting the civilians and children to safety had slipped Tsuna, but the pompadour teen managed to hold his own against Levi a lot better than fifteen year old Lambo had. That is to say, he knew how to throw and dodge a punch and was almost as resistant to electricity as Lamob, though he seemed to require channeling Lightning Flames for that.

"What do you need the Arcobaleno for, Fon's clone!?" Asked waspishly the smallest Mist present but the Vindice baby suddenly appeared next to the still hissing cat, making the strange animal calm. Both Mists stiffened but Bermuda didn't seem to be there to restrain or fight them.

"Do you want the Arcobaleno curse broken or not?"

"What the hell dumb question is that?!" Mammon snapped, but all of the Arcobaleno's attention was drawn to the Vindice Arcobaleno, listening intently. So intently, in fact, that one of those 'Roll spheres' had to hurtle in front of Colonello to prevent him from being shot out of the air.

"There's a way to break the curse, kora!?"

"Is this for real?!" Skull asked, finally leaving his hiding place to get closer as though to test out the truthfulness of the words by proximity or to make sure he'd heard right in the first place.

"No way. No way that there is a cure that I have not managed to think up myself," Verde denied but then the biker Arcobaleno kind of just shrugged at him.

"I mean, let's be honest. If anyone was going to be involved in finding a cure to this shit, it was definitely gonna be Reborn-senpai!"

"Actually, say thanks to Fon and Kyoya," Reborn, who was the only one not in the least phased by the news and was now busy fighting off Iemitsu while also firing at Xanxus every other minute just to get him further away from Hibari-san, casually chirped in, smirking when he sent Tsuna's father flying with a single well placed kick. Tsuna almost felt bad for his dad, having been on the receiving end of Reborn's monster strength more times than he wished to count, but his father was sort of a dick so he found he didn't really care. "And Kawahira, also known as Checkerface or the Man in the Iron Hat, but mostly Kyoya. Also old man Talbot, but he's apparently very much dead now because he sold out Kyoya and Fon is the protective sort of parent."

"You killed Talbot!?" Nono finally seemed to lose his cool, yelling in outrage. "Reborn-"

"Fon killed Talbot, but I would have done it, like, months ago, if we didn't need to old coot," the hitman replied casually as he finally blasted Xanxus away from Hibari-san, who was really starting to look annoyed at this point. "He would have died, anyway, even if he hadn't sold Kyoya out. It was just a question whether it would have been the Vindice or Checkerface that would have killed him. He'd been given access to way too much information on the Arcobaleno and our Pacifiers. It was only natural that he had to die. Besides, he's outlived his purpose, though it is a shame that the technology behind the Animal Rings is lost forever, but three is enough and who gives a crap about everyone else."

"Biased," Hibari-san stressed, clearly referring back to the earlier part of the discussion, not that anyone seemed to care.

Mukuro, though, seemed to accept that the Varia Arcobaleno was no longer an opponent and turned his attention to the Vongola Mist and the two started fighting. It wasn't nearly as epic as the fight that had just started brewing before, but Mukuro seemed to be having fun monologuing and mocking the mafia Mist.

"Mammon, you traitor!" Levi shouted when said Mist just floated off to the side and stopped fighting or assisting. The distraction was enough, though, for Kusakabe-san to land a solid punch that had Levi falling onto his bum, then roundhouse kicking him into the head and knocking him out. Then Hibari-san was there with a large flare of pretty violet Flames that blocked the knife attack Bel unleashed on them before one of the 'Roll spheres' all but flattened him to the ground.

The Arcobaleno all retreated to the sidelines and stayed out of the fight, except for Reborn, who kept engaging Xanxus, who was really angry now and gushing Flames all over the place. Reborn seemed as unfazed as he usually did. His attacks changed pattern every now and then, breaking off into plenty of smaller attacks, curving here and there, being either paralytic or downright overpowered kind of destructive. Tsuna can see now why he was called the world's greatest hitman. All of that power coupled with crazy accuracy and frightening strength and skill ... Yeah, Reborn, while clearly not all right in the head, was a badass.

Then something within Tsuna tingled, drawing his attention back towards Hibari-san's direction, where he had already pushed Kusakabe-san back into taking Gokudera-kun to safety and Yamamoto was following with him and Ryohei-niisan being the rear guard while Hibari-san repelled both the Varia and the Vongola Sun when they engaged him together. (Wow, none of these people knew when to stay down. Hibari-san just kept beating them up and they simply came back for more! Tsuna wasn't sure if that was tenacity or suicidal tendencies.) But that wasn't what had caught his Intuition's attention, so he looked around, trying to find what was.

And then he saw it.

His father had his pickaxe coated in orange Flames similar to Tsuna's and was charging towards Hibari-san from a blind spot. Hibari-san was too busy engaging the two Suns and then the Vongola Storm, too, dodging Coyote's long distance attacks. Hell, even that Visconti guy seems to have recovered and was carefully approaching the fight to jump in, too, so Hibari-san really didn't have time to react when Iemitsu got within attacking distance and lifted the pickax over his head, ready to bring it down on the prefect.

Tsuna couldn't stop himself from crying out even if he wanted to, even as he saw something blur in the corner of his vision.

"HIBARI-SAN! WATCH OUT! BEHIND YOU!"

The pickax came down.

A cry of pain echoed.

... bloodlust ...
