Synopsis:
She was happiness. She was joy. A charming little girl with who would always see the positive side of things and try to find the good in people's heart. . . That girl was me, at some point. An innocent soul with a pure heart along with the mindset where everyone would get their happily ever after, prince charming and everything like in most fairy tales. . .
But this story is not one of those.
There is no prince charming or a knight in shining armour, but I can guarantee you that there will be dragons with flames, demons from many kinds, creatures from legends, and battles like no other.
But the greatest fight of all is. . . The conflict within the heart with weapons that many know as. . .
Emotions. . .
I am Miyuki Urameshi. The girl who lost her spark, but ended up coming back as the whole damn fire.

I felt completely out of this shit, but it won't stop me from fighting. Nonetheless, however, I was completely flabbergasted by what I had just done. Not only did a tiny part of my spirit powers came up to the surface, but I did something that even Master Yara had never done before.
As an Elemental, she knows how to control all four elements and since she knows how to bend fire she can also create it's purest and deadliest form as well. Lightning. While me, I freaking redirected it back to my enemy just like Genkai with her Spirit Light Reflection Impulsion technique that she once told me and Yusuke. Like a water bender. . . turn the enemies own forces against them.
I honestly didn't know what I was thinking, I just tried to do something to stop this jerk from zapping my ass off. . . . But now. . . Now that I can redirect the attacks of this asshole, I don't have to waste my spirit energy much now.
"You surprised me Miyuki." Suzaku said between grunts and pants while his eyes were filled with wonder? What's with this look on his face? Either way, I don't like it at all. "You're making it very difficult for me to finish you off because seeing you so fierce and determent like a true fighter should you just made me fall in love all over again." That smug and cocky voice of his again. . . . It really starts to piss me off.
"Keep the cheesy crap to yourself, okay?!" I snapped at Suzaku as I pulled out another handful of water, covering each of my hands and turning them into ice fists. "I am sick and tired of the whole villain monologue stuff. You might as well stay down or just step out of my freaking way because you are in it and I don't want to waste my time with freaks like you." Then without thinking I lunged myself at him began to punch many attacks him rapidly. He dodged each of my punches but by the exhausted look on his face, it seems he is probably in the same boat as I was, drained and out of spirit energy. I placed one foot firmly onto the ground and then went for another big blow, putting every strength I had in it.
The thunder outside boomed once again as I managed to punch the last Saint Beast's clone in the face while he did the same with me. The impact sent me back to the ground, rolling and sliding away for like twenty feet while my punch did the same to him, but he managed to stand on one knee at least.
'Damn it!' I cursed in my mind as I weakly raised my upper body. 'Why am I so pathetic at times like these . . . ?'
"I'm sorry, I hope I didn't bruise you up that much." I hear that pervert moron 'apologize' as I scrambled up from the floor and wipe the blood away from the corner of my lip. "I didn't mean to ruin that pretty face of yours."
"Shut. . . Up. . . Moron." I told him off as I charged at him again, now my ice fists growing three ice claws each. I went for the head again, but he dodged it again. Right after that, each slice I swung at him, he just kept on dodging it like some ninja. I swear I feel like fighting Hiei again, but at least he wasn't that idiot flirty type like this moron is. Damn with my slowness, I really need to work on it. Even if that means I am going to get some regular butt-kicking sessions from those old ladies, using my own body as an example.
My wrist was suddenly caught by Clone Suzaku. My other wrist ended up in the same, making me growl out in frustration as I was face to face with the demon leader who just looked smugger than ever.
"You know, you look cute when you're angry." Suzaku commented with a small chuckle of amusement as his nose almost touched the tip of mine. I bare my teeth as my fists tightened even more. Now I was beyond furious and done with this bastard. Out of the blue, the demon yelled out in pain as he held his right hand with a steaming palm. I didn't question it and just seize my moment to attack him with a headbutt that probably broke his nose. My ice-cold fists now free and it went directly for the face while my 'cold-feet' kicked the chest area right after that punch. His body flew away, but with a backflip, he landed on his feet as a cat would. I look at the Orange-head face which looked now angry. No. More like insulted and hurt. Furious even like someone just cheated on him or something.
"You. . . !" He snapped at me as he pointed one accusing finger at me. Well, this is new. What did I do now to make him that mad? "You were marked by someone already!" He growled making me, making me rose an eyebrow. I looked down at my ice fist, only to notice one of my wrist bands being completely burned down, revealing my Dragon - Yang tattoo. What does he mean by being marked? "You will pay for that you filthy human creature and I will make sure to do the same with your chosen mate, once I find him!" Suzaku snapped furiously as he stretched out one hand into the air. I positioned myself for his Storm of Torment. However, something else happened instead of the usual lightning attack. Out of nowhere, I see three small soul orbs coming through the window.
'What the. . . ?' I thought incredulity as I was felt the tiredness take over me, making me get on one foot and knee on the ground. My hand supporting my balance. As one eye managed to stay open, it witnessed Suzaku's full recover from the injuries and wounds I had caused. I can also feel his strength coming back. "Oh heck no. . . ." I mumbled out loud annoyed with a growl.
After all this, my efforts were useless. I attempted to stand back up quickly but lost my footing in the process again. Shit. This doesn't look good, and probably Yusuke has the same problem if he is dealing with the real Suzaku.
Yusuke. . . . No. . . I can't give up now. I need to be there and help him. Finally, with some struggle, I managed to stand on my two feet and shift into a stance. Everything was spinning in my eyes, and my bones were still shaking. . .
"You might have been able to turn my energy against me once, but even with that small spirit energy that was left within you, it won't make it work this time. " Suzaku said with so much confidence as he summoned his lightning technique again. I feel my heart pounding painfully. . .aching a little as I took a deep breath and try to repeat my moves from earlier. I see the demon smirk smugly at me. "You won't survive this Miyuki!" The demon assured. Mostly himself. "Just give up, and let me help you end your pathetic life. I'm sure you want to join your friends and brother by now if you care that much about them."
"We won't let you win!" I told him sternly as my eyes narrowed with anger. The demon's expression shifted into a glare as he crouched down and preparer to use his attack again. The lightning just kept on striking loudly like cannons. Either above me or out the window. It didn't scare me or let that distract me. I just took another deep breath and braced myself.
I won't let him win.
I fixated my eyes on Clone Suzaku as I steadied my feet firmly onto the floor like an earth-bender would. I took a deep breath and then let it out.
"NOW DIE!" With that word, Suzaku shot his lightning attack at me, but this time I was prepared. As best as my memories got, I positioned my hands in the same way I did before I redirected lightning. My left hand out the front while the other one was on the back. The electricity like before flows through my system, but thanks to that small spirit energy, I was safe from it's deadly effect. The power felt overwhelming. As soon as the last drop got in I stepped forward with my other leg while I aimed my right finger gun at the Suzaku clone, shooting that powerful blast out of my body, and aiming it at the Saint Beast's face.
It happened. . . I did it again. . .
Just then a huge ear-piercing explosion was heard which was soon followed by the ceiling collapsing onto us while a blinding white light covered my entire vision.
'What. . . what just happened?' I thought weakly as I feel my body slowly shut down, by the fight I just had.
Suddenly, something heavy had fallen on top of my head, then my entire vision got black like someone just switched off the lamp.
But now what. . . what happened to the boys. . . Did my brother win? What happened to the girls back at home. . . ?These were the last thoughts I had in my mind before my consciousness slowly drifts away. . .
Everything had crumbled to the ground. The whole tower building was like a huge rain of meteors had crashed down on it. Between those rubbles, all clones of Suzaku's had bit the dust, along with the real Saint Beast, who is living his very last minutes. Not far there was Yusuke, lying on the ground motionless. Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei were not so far from them. As they began to rush to the male Spirit Detective, they saw Suzaku raised up his body, his hands against the floor while his whole body was shaky and weak.
"I was wrong about you once again Yusuke. . ." Suzaku breathed out weakly. "It wasn't because you weren't human that I lost. . . I lost because you were. Feelings are your power. Touché human, at last, I understand. . ." With those last words, he fell to the ground with his eyes open, but no spark of life reflecting them. He was finally dead, but the victory was bittersweet.
"Wake up, Urameshi! Let's go home!" Kuwabara exclaimed to Yusuke, worriedly.
"I'm sorry, he's expanded all of his body energy." The redheaded teen informed Kuwabara with a sad tone. "His heart is stopping."
"Then I'll give him some of my own." Kazuma said as he knelt down next to the Urameshi boy.
"That wouldn't be very wise. Your body is still badly injured from Byakko, any more strain on it could kill you." Kurama warned his friend but he couldn't convince him in any way.
"Me and the Urameshis jumped into this deal together, and we're all gonna come out alive or we're not coming out at all, ok?!" Kuwabara snapped as he placed both hands onto Yusuke's chest and began to transfer some of his life energy, while pleading his friend to wake up and come back. The redhead sighed with a small shake of a head, but suddenly a gasp escaped through his mouth as he remembered someone else.
"Phoenix. . . ." He trailed off under his breath before shooting up from the ground and search for his childhood best friend. Hiei followed his example and began to search as well. The explosion from Yusuke's and Suzaku's fight must have buried her with a big layer of rubbles. The Fire Demon was about to use his Jagan, but then his crimson orbs caught something that stuck out of the pile of rocks. A hand, and on its wrist there was the Dragon-Yang tattoo. Hiei sprinted over without any hesitation and began to push or lift off every heavy debris that was on top of the female Spirit Detective with difficulty.
"KURAMA!" Hiei called as he removed another huge rock. Immediately the fox demon rushed over and began to help Hiei with the pile. Once the two removed the biggest one from Miyuki's stomach, the fire demon fell to his knees and held the girl figure in his arms as gently and as carefully as he could. Her body just as beaten up like her brother but with some blood covering her leg and face.
"Miyuki? Can you hear us?" Kurama asked with concern as he kneeled down next to the little teen girl's figure, only to receive the same reply he got from Yusuke. Nothing. Her body was as cold as the tone of her skin got even paler. Blood streaming down on from her hair and it was rolling down onto her forehead, covering her right eye. Fast, the redhead's hand reached for her neck to check her pulse. It took a long time, but that pulse miraculously showed up. "She is alive. . ." Kurama stated with the feeling of relief flooding through him as he looked at the girl with a small smile while his demon friend secretly let out a small sigh of relief as well. "Well, I suppose now we have to return to Living World, carrying all three of them on our backs." The redhead said as he looked back at Kuwabara who was still giving his life energy to Yusuke. Hiei did the same but turned back with his eyes closed and a small snarl on his face.
"Like I said, babysitting." Hiei huffed with annoyance before turning to the redhead. "Here is what I don't understand: Why would he bother saving her if he dies in the process?" At the question, the Fox-Demon looked down at Miyuki's form.
"Trust me Hiei. There are reasons." Replied the Kurama with a serious tone as his mind drifted back to that day when he and Hiei stole the artefacts and wanted to use one of them to save his human mother.
"Hah, maybe for a person who lived there." The fire demon scoffed in incredulity. "But I would never do it. The challenges enough without taking someone else's slack." At that Kurama let out a small sigh.
"Hm, I wouldn't be so sure about it." The redhead murmured to him, earning a questioning look from his partner. "You might say that now, but who knows what the future holds." Kurama replied earning a small scoff from Hiei and a head shake before getting up and walking back to the other two teammates with Miyuki in his arms. Soon the fox demon walked back to his friends too and later on return to the Human World with them.
I woke up with a start, and needless to say I felt terribly sore. My body was aching and screaming in pain while the light that came from the huge window almost blinded me. After a couple of blinks, I finally regained my vision, the first thing that I saw was a yellow ceiling. I felt something soft underneath me, like a bed with a pillow while a blanket covered my body.
Wait, where am I?
"Well, about time you woke up." Commented a very irritating yet familiar gruff voice that I would recognize anywhere. With all my might, I turned my head to the side to see Kurama and Kuwabara in the room.
"Where am I?" I groggily asked, now feeling how dry my throat is.
"You're in my room, which is by back on Earth." Kuwa answered my question.
"You had been sleeping for three days straight." Kurama added while I sat up from the bed with difficulty. Oh great, I am back in that room where the old hags used to let me stay and dump water on every morning just for fun.
"Three days?" I asked in incredulity as I winced in pain. "It feels like I had been out for a while."
"School looks like a warzone and classes got cancelled for a week, I talked to your mom too, so don't worry about it." Kuwabara reassured me. As my brain managed to take all the information in my mind drifted to the people who I have no idea of how are they doing.
"Okay, and what about Keiko?" I asked. "Also where is Miyuki? Is she okay?" After I said that the boys froze for a moment. I see Kuwabara take a hard swallow before him and Fox-Face turned their heads away silently with a hard frown on their faces. That made me feel anxious. "What about the girls?" I asked a little harshly this time, but I still received no answer nor sound from the two, they just kept shooting their gazes down and away from me like. . . Something happened and they don't want to tell me. . . "What?" I asked again, making Kurama's eyes shut tightly while Kuwabara's eyes trembled in. . . sadness while he was clenching his teeth as well. "WHAT?!" I asked for one last time but still got no proper answer. That's when I couldn't take it anymore. "HEY!" I snapped as I got off of the bed and rushed over Kuwabara, grabbing him by the shirt and bring his face close to me, but for some reason, he refused to meet my eyes. What the hell happened? What happened to the girls, god damn it!? "You better start doing more then clenching your teeth!" I yelled at him. "Tell me what happened to them?!" I demanded. Just then the door of my room slid open, revealing a perfectly fine Keiko and Botan.
"I recognize that yell anywhere. What's up, Yusuke?" Botan asked as she smiled brightly. Now I was confused as hell. No, it's not that I am not happy it's just. . .
"Botan. . . Keiko. . . " I trailed off as I felt my eyes opening wider. Then I hear Kuwabara's attempt to hide his laughter, making me look at him with anger and annoyance. Is he serious?
"Oh my gosh, that was so great!" He snorted out as he still tried to cover his stupid big mouth.
"Sorry, Yusuke. He insisted." I hear Kurama's explanation before starting to laugh silently, pissing me off even more. Then the Stupid just let it all out in the open.
This guy. . . Now he is going to get it. . .
"You really should've seen the look on your face!" Ugly said as he continued laughing his head off because it was soo funny to mess with me. Well, I don't find the joke funny.
"Come here you jerk, I'll give you a look!" I shouted at him before giving him a good old punch in the head, knocking him down to the floor. "Stupid bastard, okay you had your fun, now tell me where my sister is?"
"She is with Ruby at the moment." Kurama replied as I turned to him.
"What is she doing?" I asked him curiously.
"They're taking care of her injuries." Kurama informed.
"Is she going to be okay?" I asked as my face fell in worry.
"Yeah, a little jacked up but she is okay." Kuwa nodded his head, making me turn to look at my feet.
Miyu is alright. . . And so are the others. That's good. . . I mean . . . Damn it. . . Is this how things will going to be from now on? More dangerous and full of almost near-death experiences? This is just ridiculous, and awful. . . I mean that's not what we had signed up for.
It was a quiet peaceful afternoon in the city, with the beautiful sunset and with rarely any people around the street at the moment. No idiots running around, nor anyone who I can bump into or see them look at he with judgement filled eyes. Just the way I wanted. As my legs were carrying me aimlessly in the street of the city I closed my eyes as I breathed the fresh and cool air in through my nose. My relaxing moment was however cut short when I sensed a presence not far above me. On a tree I think?
"Good to see you too Shadow Lord." I greeted Hiei as I stopped on my tracks and my eyes were shot at the three top. I hear a small scoff above me, making me look up and see my favourite three eyes demon, the almighty Shadow Lord. He gave me a blank stare and I returned it. "What are you doing here?" I asked him after a long moment of silently staring at each other. "Stalking me again, or just gonna stand there and look stupid?"
"Hn." He grumbled as he shot daggers through his eyes. I rose an eyebrow, but then just shrugged it off and turned on my heels.
"Hm, well, have your fun looking after the trees, oh almighty Tree King." I told him dismissively before walking away. After like five or six steps later I found Hiei stand in front of me. My eyebrows knitted together as my arms folded over my chest. "Okay, Hiei what do you want? " I asked him bluntly. "If you want a match right here and now, forget it. I am not going to fight in front of people to expose our secret." I informed him. Yes, I still remember our deal, but right now I don't need this kind of stupidity at the moment. Hiei said nothing, but harshly grab my right wrist and pulled up the blue sleeve off of it. "What are you doing-?!" I was about to snap him the question, but I fell silent as soon as he lifted that wrist band off to reveal my Dragon-Yang Tattoo. Hiei facial expression said nothing, but his eyes, however, they showed disbelief and surprise.
"Where did you get this mark?" He demanded with a harsh tone as his crimson orbs looked into mine deeply. For a second there, I thought the world around us just shut down, leaving only me and this demon boy alone in it. It felt weird. . .
I shook my head and regained my composure.
"Why do you care?" I asked rudely as I pulled my hand back from his grasp.
"I have my reasons." He replied with a glare. "Now tell me where did you get this mark, woman?!" He demanded like he was the boss of me.
"I have a name you know, Shadow Lord." I scoffed at him as my eyes were narrowed at him.
"Hn, you are annoying." He said irritatedly before disappearing out of sight.
"Hmpf, thanks." I mumbled out loud annoyed as I looked up at the orange and pinkish coloured sky, then down at my wrist.
Hiei. . . He has a mark as well, but on his left wrist with a Phoenix-Ying on it. But what could this mean, and what with that dream . . ? Is it trying to tell me something or what. . . ?
I let out a groan as I pinched the bridge of my nose.
'This whole thing just drives me crazy. . . ' I complained in my thoughts as a silent sigh escaped through my mouth. 'I should probably ask Shuichi. He must know something about this.' With that last thought, I continued on my way.
I was standing on top of a rooftop as I watch that stubborn girl leave my sight.
'Stupid human. . .' I thought to myself as I looked down at the mark on my left wrist incredulously. This is utterly ridiculous. How in the world did the universe tie my destiny to a human wreck like this one?
But then again, she did manage to defeat me the first time. And she did beat that foolish Byakko and Suzaku's clone in the maze castle along with that idiot of a brother. That girl, my rival now became my teammate and she is, in fact, a great addition besides Kurama. I won't deny that.
But why her? And why me out of all demon or people. . . I don't understand this and I also don't understand these conflicts within me.
Then for some reason my mind drifted to the times when that Miyuki girl showed some sign of emotions. Her genuine voice when she said 'I trust you', along with an honest smile that she had given me twice and those eyes. . . The eyes that were mostly masked with emptiness yet. . . They were on fire that is unexplainable to me. . . But one thing for certain, they held honesty when she talked to me in those occasions. . . She really did trust me. . .
"Tsk." I scolded at myself. Why do I even waste my time thinking about this Little Detective? After all, she is a human. . .
With one last glance at the girl, I sped off back to that time where I can be at peace in the woods.
'She is just a human. . .' I reminded myself again.
Somewhere, in the depths of another realm, there was the ruin of a building that was once known to be a castle. It was lying in the middle of a huge forest that had been consumed by the darkness that is coming out of that very palace. In one of its towers, there was a figure standing by the open window with a staff that had a huge green crystal ball on top. The lightning strikes, illuminating the figure's outline that the shadow above had been covering from the world. The only thing that is shown was his golden crown with a green gemstone shining in the middle.
"Hmpf, well isn't that a bit disgraceful?" The mysterious figure thought out loud in a bored tone as he walked away from the window and back to his throne room where two more figures were found, sparring with each other. One was using their ninja sais while the other was using fans that was created out of deadly sharp razors. The two were fighting, under the watchful eyes of that mysterious person. The emperor and a great sorcerer of the ruins and the land around it. "After all those years, you still hadn't learned from your mistakes my son." The man said to himself as he finally stepped out of those dark shadows. It was a man dressed in royal blue clothing that is also looked like a half-Armor. His hair was as black as the Indian ink. The front area separated in the middle and had two dark-blue tentacles on each side. There were also two horns that came from each side of his head while his skin was pale blue like the ice, just like the emperor yes. A pair of ice-blue orbs, reflecting nothing but the coldness and cruelty that matches his dark soul perfectly. A true work of evil. The wicked even. "Daughters!" His voice boomed as he sat down to his throne. The female warriors before, the so-called daughters stopped with their training and kneeled before heir father with respect. "The time of hiding and waiting is over." He began with a calm and stern tone as his cold eyes went from one daughter to another. "Your brother, Suzaku, and his so-called Saint Beast friends had failed with his promise of conquering the Human World." The emperor scoffed, clearly disappointed and unimpressed how his firstborn had shank so low to the point he was defeated by some Spirit Detective who was nothing but human. "So as always, you two have to clean up his failure of a mess. But hopefully, you, my daughters won't repeat your brother's mistake. If that happens, however, there will be grave consequences. "
"Yes, father." Replied the two in perfect sync, and like dogs, obedient and loyal, they accept their master's quests.
"Good." Replied the man as his ice-blue orbs began to flame with determination and hunger. . . hunger for blood and power. . . "Now rise and let us discuss our plans for our attack, along with the glorious future, that holds for us all."
At that, both daughters lifted their heads up to look at their father figure. The one with glowing and gold-yellow orbs gaze upon her parental figure with wicked and joyous eyes while the other with magenta eyes looked at the emperor unsureness but she didn't let that show. Then her orbs darted to the family portrait where she, her siblings, mother, and father were smiling all happily, looking perfect in every other way. The picture perfect family which shattered decades ago. . .
