Other M pt 4

Well, guys. Time to finally continue with this story. Sorry it's been a hot minute Let's just get going. And now, dear friends... Let's kick it up!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

As Samus entered the third sector of the Bottle Ship, she found herself in fields of bubbling lava.

'Okay, step one: Find Ridley. Step two: Kill Ridley. Step three: Find out what's causing this chaos and take it down. Step four: Hopefully find Melisa's mom.' Samus thought before suddenly feeling something to her side.

Out of nowhere a large creature came from one side of the path that Samus was walking in, tackling her in to the lava lake.

"Samus!" Adam called, having seen what had transpired from one of the cameras before a stream of purple electricity came from the lava before a large Shark-like creature missing the back of its head floated to the surface as Samus jumped back on the path.

"Are you alright?" Adam asked.

"I'm fine. The Gravity Suit prevents any lava damage. I just have to be careful not to get jumped like that again." Samus said, mentally chastising herself for getting caught off guard like that.

"Just be more careful. The rest of the cameras in the sector were knocked out. Try and maintain radio contact." Adam instructed.

"Understood." Samus said as she began making her way through the sector. On her way through, several lava monsters rose up only to be quickly hit with Samus' Ice Beam followed swiftly by an explosive charge shot with the Diffusion Beam before Samus continued on her way.

After several minutes of walking, Samus found herself entering a a small room and looking up to see Anthony being cornered by a large insectoid creature that grabbed him by the throat before lifting over the edge he was at.

Samus waisted no time in using a combined Spacejump and Screwattack to slice the creatures arm off at the shoulder before using the Grapple Beam to pull Anthony to her and then hit the creature with charged blast from her Ice Beam before finishing it off with a Super Missile.

"You alright?" Samus asked as her helmet flashed away.

"Yeah. I just need a minute." Anthony said as Samus helped him to a wall so he could rest. "So... You doin alright?" He asked. "I know working with the commander can't be easy after..." Anthony couldn't bring himself to finish.

"It was never between Adam and I. When I left. He knows that." Samus said as her mind took her back to that day.

(Flashback)

Samus was walking away from the GF barracks with a pack slung over her shoulder.

"So, that's it. You actually resigned." Adam said.

"I know you say there's no way of knowing if I could have saved Ian, but I couldn't even try to and now I'm never going see him again." Samus said, doing everything in her power to fight back the flood of emotions she felt.

"I understand." Adam said, his stoic face cracking for one of the few times Samus had ever seen as he pulled a data card. "No surprise, but he left everything to you. You should have more than enough until you can find something else to do." He said before Samus took the card and thanked him before she began to walk off again. "And Samus. If you ever need anything, just call me." He said before for the only time in them knowing each other, getting a thumbs up from Samus as she continued to walk while rubbing a ring hanging from her neck.

(Flashback end)

"Ya know. For what it's worth... I think Ian would be proud of everything you've done since leaving the GF." Anthony said, getting a soft smile from Samus.

"Thanks, Anthony." Samus said. Truth be told. She had always wondered what Ian would think of all her adventures, if he would have come with her as a bounty hunter, and of coarse how Virginia would be with him as a father. But that was a life, she could only have in her most wishful dreams. She then let out a mental sight before looking back to Anthony. "You good to go?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'm alright." Anthony replied before Samus helped him up and the two of them began to walk.

Soon enough, the two of them arrived in a large room the stationed used to ventilate heat exhaust. Almost immediately, several creatures seemingly made of lava. Without missing a beat, Samus and Anthony put their backs to each other, the former using her Ice Spreader in order to freeze the one in front of her before turning so the later could blast them apart before they repeated the process.

"Samus! Anthony! I've lost cameras on your location. Be careful." Adam warned before Anthony took notice of some movement to Samus' right.

"Samus! Get down!" Anthony called before he opened fire on the figure flying towards them only to get knocked in to the air.

Samus had only a split second to react and was barely able to grab Anthony with her grapple beam and pull him back to her. She then looked up to see their attacker on the wall. The purple draconic figure who had haunted her for almost her entire life. The Space Pirate commander, Ridley.

It suddenly all game flooding back to her. Every battle, every chase, and most of all, every person she had lost thanks to Ridley and his. The Chozo, her parents, and very nearly Virginia. With that last thought Samus let out a primal roar and fired out a massive volley of Super Missiles. Ridley was barely able to get out of the explosion with one burned wing as he breathed a torrent of flame at Samus and tried to stab at the flame with his tail only to be met by a Lightning Armor enhanced Screw Attack, shredding through Ridley's tail and good wing. Ridley then slammed on to the ground, looking at Samus as her canon charged up, the hunter not noticing the small white sphere shoot out of his his back as the Beam Burst powered combo of Samus' Plasma and Nova Beams tearing through his body until Samus switched to missiles which she used to shoot every piece that she could.

"Samus! Samus!" Anthony called as he grabbed Samus' arm, the hunter's rage giving way before she fell to her knees, her armor fading as she began to hyperventilate. "It's okay. It's okay." He said, sitting down with Samus and allowing her enough time to calm down.

"Samus, come in." Adam said from over the coms. "You and Anthony might want to get up here." He said before Anthony looked at Samus and she nodded before calling her armor back to her and the two of them made their way back to the main sector.

Once there, the two were quickly met by Adam sitting at a console where he was looking at the security cams.

"What's going on?" Samus asked.

"Around the time you were confronting Ridley, the cameras went down in two places. The thermal exhaust room and the hanger. I managed to get one of the hanger cams open and I found this." Adam explained as the two looked at the cam.

"Son of a bitch." Samus whispered as she looked to Kraid boarding the shuttle with Ridley's larval form.

"We have to track it now." Anthony said with urgency.

"I cant. Once they were far enough away, the shuttle blew." Adam explained.

"Which means that Kraid and Ridley probably got a signal out to the other Space Pirates and were able to get a pickup." Samus reasoned out before letting out a deep breath and quietly said. "Alright, Ridley. Game on."

(Meanwhile)

Kraid and Ridley were sitting in the lower levels of a blue ship.

"Not a bad play, boss. We got out of there scot free and Aran thinks your dead again." Kraid praised.

"She is still a threat, Kraid. Contact command and send over tell them to send him. All the dead on that station will power him up to massive degrees. With any luck, that will be the last we here of Samus Aran." Ridley said the pilot of the ship, a man in navy armor with green accents and a long helmet with vertical green visor.

"Samus." The man said while grabbing his head. He then put his hand on his chest where underneath his armor a ring matching the one Samus wore hung.
