Chapter 36: Civil Disobedience
Mentor Kenway,
I see you've decided to take a page from my book. Civil unrest is far too simple to instigate in our new nation. Tis why it is, and was, so important to ensure the rule of order and law in this land. If everyone may do as they wish, then no one will ever be safe.
I have heard that President Adams intends to pardon Fries. I trust you will remember him kindly for it.
Yours,
Shay Patrick Cormac
Grandmaster of the American Rite
Mr. Miles,
I apologize. This should have occurred to me before: Adams, a Templar, pardoned Fries, an Assassin. As to why he did so, I can't say for sure. Hamilton's fury over the matter makes a great deal more sense now. He must have seen Adams as a traitor.
This may also be why Connor left Adams alone. One good turn deserves another, I suppose.
Shaun
