Disclaimer: I don't own the MCU...duh. (I do own my OC though).
Leave a review if you can, would really appreciate it!
I have returned! My exams are over, so I'm continuing with this story. This chapter is basically setting-up Infinity War, which will be a far shorter arc compared to Civil War. I project 3-4 chapters at a maximum. After that…I'm not that sure. I haven't thought that far ahead yet, I guess. I know for sure that I'm not going beyond Endgame.
Quick note: When I wrote this story, it was not my intention to bash any character. Cap was supposed to be shown as misguided, not stupid/annoying. If that is the impression you got, I apologise.

Pym technologies stocks soar after CEO Hope Van Dyne revealed to be superhero 'The Wasp'
Shares rose astronomically yesterday when it was revealed that the CEO of the company, Hope Van Dyne, had joined the new group of Superheroes known by the name, 'The Saviours'. Her claims, backed up by Toni Stark, reveal that she is the Superhero 'The Wasp' and she fought against the ex-Vengers in the Philadelphia Station fight. Pym Technologies has had rough months since it was disclosed that criminal and ex-Venger Scott Lang, (alias: Ant-Man), has stolen and fought against Toni Stark using a suit built by Pym Technologies. Since then, Hank Pym – father of Hope Van Dyne – has stepped down and Van Dyne has set the company in a new direction with her actions. More news to follow.

The Saviours: Who are they, how were they formed and why are they needed?
'The Saviours' is the name given to the team of Superheroes who help to protect the planet against super-powered threats. The members of the team, at the time of writing, are Toni Stark[Ironheart], Hope Van Dyne[Wasp] and Vision.
This team was formed in the fallout of the Philadelphia Station fight, where rogue members of the Avengers fought with the Saviours. The Avengers lost and were arrested, although the details of their incarceration are unclear. Rumoured future members of the Saviours include Spider-Man, who has been spotted with the leader of the Saviours, (Toni Stark), many times. Another is Sam Wilson, an ex-Venger who turned himself in before the Philadelphia Station fight.
The Saviours are needed because of the growing threats that the Earth faces, both extra-terrestrial and from super-powered villains, (see Ultron, Chitauri Invasion 2012). Some argue that Ms Stark is unfit to lead the Saviours, as her actions led to the creation of Ultron and therefore death of hundreds. However, others say that she has redeemed herself through capturing her former allies. What do you think, reader? We'd be delighted to hear you opinions!

Ex-Vengers – are they being held accountable for what they did?
Menaces! Steve Rogers, Wanda Maximoff, Clint Barton, Sam Wilson and Scott Lang are all costumed menaces! They were finally defeated and revealed as the freaks that they truly were by The Saviours last month, but since then no further has been heard of them. Where have they gone? Have they escaped? If so, that would be the worst error the American government have ever made. They should be locked up, so tightly that they would never be seen again! If they are in the custody of the American government, they should have to face what they did. Let them all stand trial! Show them the men and women they killed through their actions! Readers, we will continue to hound the government until these costumed freaks have been properly punished for their actions!

Okay guys, you've got to listen carefully. I've worked it out, I've worked it all out.
Coughs, takes a drink of water
I've looked at this video a thousand times now. You know which one I mean, the famous one – the one with Toni Stark and Cap.
Waves hands furiously
How did she survive?! Toni Stark has no superpowers, her suit was broken. We've all seen the video. Everyone knows Cap's shield is made out of vibranium.
Pauses, takes a breath, explodes
Vibranium. The . . How the hell did Toni Stark not die right there? Cap is a supersoldier, someone with enhanced physical powers. He's just swung his shield into Toni's chest. His unbreakable, very sharp shield.
Comes closer to camera
It hits Toni's skin…and bounces off! Literally impossible. But I've worked it out. There are 3 ways this is possible.
Raises one finger
What everybody else is saying: the video is faked. I don't think so. Don't you think, if it were faked, that Cap would have said so. His silence is deafening, to me.
Raises two fingers
Toni Stark has superpowers. Maybe she's hidden this the whole time, and that's how she's Ironheart! Think about it, no human should be able to lift that metal….unless they has superstrength! Mathematically speaking, it's just not possible, is it!
Lights dim, rubs hands together in excitement
But here's what I think happened. What I worked out. What if…that wasn't Toni Stark! What if…it was shape-shifting alien in her place. It would make sense, think about it! The shield failed to kill her because she's actually an alien, and they have super-hard skin! A shape-shifting race of aliens…named the Brie! A member of the Brie killed Toni Stark and took her place, and now controls the whole world. Cap was right all along; they're taking over!
Sits back, runs hand through hair
Alright guys, that's all from me today. If I go quiet, either I'm in hiding or I've been captured. Good luck…we all need it right now.

Extract of interview with Toni Stark
Interviewer: Welcome Dr Stark, a pleasure to have you here.
Toni Stark: You remembered the 'Dr'! Not many do, well done! Anyway, you can call me Toni and it's my pleasure to be here…
Interviewer: Alright Toni, let's start off with your new superhero group, 'The Saviours'. Interesting name…
Toni Stark: It is a bit pretentious, isn't it?
Interviewer: …I'm not allowed to answer that.
Toni Stark: (Laughs) Well, 'The Saviours' function largely the same as the Avengers did. We fight against threats that normal people cannot and protect this Earth. However, there are some differences. We are, to an extent, under the management of the UN. There are different faces these days as well…
Interviewer: That brings us on to our next topic. Who are these new people, and do you think they can fill the shoes of their predecessors?
Toni Stark: I mean, I don't think the shoes are that big. As long as they don't betray me…
Interviewer: My apologies, that wasn't what I meant to-
Toni Stark: Yeah, don't worry, I was just kidding. I'll introduce them. First, we got Vision, our resident synthezoid. He has a British accent, and it's a good one. 'Nuff said. Next, we got Hope [Van Dyne]. She's pretty cool, had that 'betrayed lover' vibe going for her when we were fighting. Also, she hates my best friend. And…that's it. Huh. Maybe we need more people.
Time skip – Ten minutes
Interviewer: Finally, questions have been raised about former Avenger Black Widow. She was present at the airport fight, but has not been seen since. Can you shed some light on this?
Toni Stark: Sure. Nat fought with us during the airport fight, against the ex-Vengers. She has since decided to go back to doing what she was doing before. And no – you do not want to know what that entails.
New York Post
Influential surgeon Steven Strange severely injured in car crash, status unknown!
Toni looked up from the article, running the name through her head.
Strange, Strange, Strange.
I assume that you know the man?
I've heard of him. One of the doctors I considered for Rhodey, I think.
I see. Foul play, perhaps?
Nah…unlikely. He wasn't the friendliest of people – from what I've heard – but I doubt this was anything but his own misfortune.

King T'Challa reveals Wakanda to the world – and then joins The Saviours!
Yesterday, the world woke up to every conspiracy theorists wet dream. Wakanda, a small country in Africa known for its desperate poverty, has revealed that it is actually a nation of unbelievable technological and economic prowess. King T'Challa, who is also known as 'Black Panther', described how his nation has hidden itself from the world for centuries. The reasons for this was unclear, prompting immediate backlash from many countries and politicians. The reason for their superiority seem to be that they contain large amounts of Vibranium, formerly the most precious metal on Earth. Again, reasons for why they have hoarded this valuable recource are uncertain.
Immediately afterwards, King T'Challa and Toni Stark appeared together in a joint press conference to announce that T'Challa would be joining The Saviours as the superhero, 'Black Panther'. This is momentous news, as before this date there were only 3 members of the roster. "My superpowers include superhuman speed, agility, senses, stamina and durability," T'Challa explained to reporters. This is nothing new, but the revelation that T'Challa had been one of the fighters on Stark's side in the Airport fight was! Toni Stark had this to say about it, "Yeah, he [T'Challa] was on our side during that fight. It's one of the reasons he's joining, I know he's a good guy." More on page 3
"Please Ms Stark…I'm nothing without the suit." Peter begged, fatigued face searching hers for mercy.
He found none.
"I'm sorry kid…if you think you're nothing without it, you shouldn't have the suit." Toni said slowly, hating having to do this.
Toni flew off with the suit, leaving a forlorn figure behind her.
Tough love?
This is necessary. He has to learn what it takes to become a superhero.
Two weeks later
"You ready to become a Saviour, kid?" Toni asked, watching Peter devour the new Spider-Man suit with his eyes.
He's going to say no.
Huh?
"Sorry Ms Stark…I don't think I'm ready for this."
"…"
Peter took Toni's silence as approval instead of shock and continued.
"I think, right now…I'm better as a friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man."
SERIOUSLY!
"This was a test, right?"
"Y-yes." Toni affirmed, eyes panicked.
Peter left, leaving a forlorn figure behind him.
How did you know, Yin?
I just…did.
Alright. What the hell am I supposed to tell the reporters now?
What about…me?
Yin, I care about you greatly, but now is really not the right time.
…
…oh. Are you sure?
I think the time is right. Time to quell the rumours.
Okay, why not. Here goes…everything.
Toni strode through the curtains, smiling at the flashing lights.
"Hello. Today, I've called you all here today to finally explain my powers, and how I have superpowers now…"
The Daily Planet
Sam Wilson joins The Saviours!
To the shock of many, Sam Wilson – ex-Venger! – has joined the Saviours.
Toni Stark announced the news, saying, "Look – he [Wilson] was an ex-Venger. Nobody is denying that. And he has – he has! – faced consequences for his actions. But in the end, we think that forgiveness is the best route forwards. Unlike the others, Sam recognised that he was in the wrong, and he told me the ex-Venger's plans before they put them in motion. If he hadn't, who knows what could've happened?".
A convincing speech, but one that purposefully left several key details vague. Was Sam Wilson a spy all along? What consequences did he face? Unfortunately, I don't think that we are going to get an answer to these questions for quite some time…
"Toni…the results are back, and they're not promising." Helen warned, face solemn.
"Lay it on me, doc." Toni replied, flippant reply betrayed by her anxious shifting.
"The symbiote - Yin…it's killing you, Toni."
The world went grey.
Literally.
Toni's world faded into a selection of myriad greys, and Helen's voice dissolved into meaningless noises. Distantly, she was aware that this was probably partly Yin's influence, but she was mostly concerned with what Helen had just said.
That's…impossible.
…is it?
Yin didn't reply and Toni didn't say anything else.
Slowly, ever so slowly, Toni's perception of the world returned. Colours – red, green, blue all bleached back into her surroundings, and the sound of Helen's voice rung her ears.
"Toni? TONI! Are you okay-"
"Yeah. Sorry, just a bit of a shock. Are you sure, Helen?" Toni asked, voice quiet and wavering.
"…I'm afraid so. I'm so, so sorry Toni. Yin is 99% compatible with your body, so the effects aren't too bad…for now. You've been over-using its powers, Toni. And now, every time you do, you shorten your lifespan that much more."
"99%?"
"The only reason you're alive right now. From the tests I've run so far, humans and symbiotes were never meant to join. It's a miracle that you're this compatible and you're not already killing yourself from the inside. But still…it's not good enough."
"How long, doc?" Toni asked, voice tired, defeated, resigned.
"3 years. Maximum."
I had no choice. You were the only one.
I know.
I'm still going to die.
2017
He's coming. You know that he's coming, you've always known.
Yeah, and I can't do anything about it. You know that. After the mess with Ultron, I don't really want to try anything like that again. The public doesn't trust me right now, especially after they've heard I've been 'infected' with an alien.
That doesn't matter. You have to do something. This is the beginning of the end, Toni. Do you think my people were weak?
No.
To Him, exterminating us was like swatting a fly.
I. Can't. Do. Anything. My hands are tied, Yin. I'm preparing the Saviours. I fixed the Accords. I will not create another monster, like I did with Ultron.
I've told you everything I know about what's coming. I've told you about his Black Order, about him, about the death and destruction which follows him like a tainted shadow. And yet, you seem unconcerned.
…what can I do?
Act. Before it is too late.
Pretty words. But they don't help.

Topic: Who will be the next member of the Saviours?

Hey guys…this is my first post here, so please be nice! My question is one I think LOADS of ppl have been asking recently, and I just wanted to hear all of your opinions 😊😊. Who do YOU think will be the next to join the Saviours?
We've got Vision, Ironheart, the Wasp, Black Panther and Falcon so far. Falcon - Sam Wilson - joined a couple months ago, and he was part of the ex-Vengers before. I know there's been a lotta controversy over his joining as well.
Then, we've got the potentials: ppl like Spiderman, Black Widow, Thor and Hulk maybe? What do you guys think?
Ø Karli
Replied on June 29th 2017:
Wilson should not have been invited. No real punishment, and he's not even that useful. Wings, seriously? How lame can you get?
As for the question – probably Spider-Man. Conclusive evidence that Stark and him are buddies of some sort.
Ø Time Lord Mobius
Replied on June 30th 2017:
Chill, Karli. We all know your distaste for Falcon, but don't frighten the new kid. Wings aren't lame anyway, kind of like a jet ski…
Ps. Thor and Hulk have not been seen since Ultron happened, nobody knows why. I doubt that they're dead though, wouldn't there be a bit of an uproar if an Asgardian prince just…died?

People be crazy...obvs not Black Widow, she's back in the shadows, according to the woman herself, Toni Stark. X doubt Hulk + Thor will join the Saviours at one point...they're probs in space or something rn. Spiderman's just living his best life in Brooklyn - btw, follow his insta, funniest shit I've seen ALLDAY. I think it'll be War Machine, he was sooooo cool back when he was part of the gang.

Robert Drake wins Ice Sculpting National competition
Robert Drake, known by his friends as 'Bobby', has won the Ice Sculpting National competition. This boy, only 11 years old, originates from our very own Fort Washington, and might one day be our claim to fame! Observers of the event have only words of admiration for him –
"Extraordinary! The ice almost seemed to bend to his will!"
"He [Drake] totally stole the show. It seemed to cost him virtually no effort!"
"Our king of ice…he's an 'Iceman', ha!"
We will watch your career with great interest, Robert Drake!

The next few months were of huge historical significance. Thanos and his Black Order had tracked down two of the Infinity stones, (see page 113), to Terra, known locally as 'Earth'. However, the details leading up to and following this event are murky, still discussed amongst historians to this day.
Firstly, there are multiple eye witness accounts stressing that Toni Stark was in New York when the Black Order invaded Earth. Controversy therefore lies in less credible reports of where the Wasp, (see Saviours, page 15), and the Vision, who held the Mind Stone, were. Official 'United Nations' documents at the time state that they had been deployed in Scotland, although the reasons for this are unclear.
Conspiracy theorists continue to insist that Toni Stark was present with them at the time, although no evidence for this has ever appeared. Furthermore, Stark herself has testified that she had been transported to the alien ship at the time. Through this, we can conclude that this theory is baseless and requires no further thought upon it.
As we all know, what followed after the arrival of the Black Order was an unmitigated disaster. However, one question that has pervaded historians through the centuries is what we will be focusing on.
Why had Toni Stark not prepared for the arrival of Thanos and his Black Order?
We can conclude from the presence of her symbiote, which she revealed in late 2016, that she was aware of the threat of Thanos. There are two further reasons for this. Firstly, the symbiote race was exterminated by Thanos and it is not a great step to think that Stark's symbiote was there when it happened. To back this up, Stark herself had laid eyes upon the Thanos' fleet, (see Battle of New York, page 75), and therefore should have known of what was to come.
What happened next would shape the galaxy into what it is today…
