"Master, take a rest, Rome is in sight, and the enemy isn't!"

They did it, they cut a 5 day trip down to 3 days and the enemy army was nowhere in sight at the moment. The capital of Rome was right in front of them, meaning that Nero was there before them. Their goal was right there, and Naruto's legs were absolutely killing him. He clothes were sweat soaked, and heavy bags were under his eyes at the moment.

Three days without sleep or rest.

He ate whatever he could grab from the trees that he passed by if they bore fruit, and if not he would eat from his emergency rations. He didn't want to do that too much though, since there was no telling how long he might need to make those last in the future.

"So what are you planning when we get to Nero?" Gareth asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow, since they hadn't had time to talk about what exactly he planned to tell Nero to convince them in the first place. "Do you want my advice, because I can easily see this becoming a Mordred situation." Gareth was willing to offer her expert opinion when dealing with rulers.

"I've got a plan already, just follow my lead!"

"Follow... your lead..." Asterios repeated as they started to slid down the side of the mountain instead of run. They were going to make better time sliding than otherwise.

"Romani, is there any magecraft that you can explain to me, that will let me strengthen my legs?" Naruto asked his communicator.

"There is Reinforcement magecraft, but it isn't easy."

"How do I do it, and... fuck it, not enough time." Naruto and his servants reached the bottom and started to run towards the city. He wasn't going to have enough time to learn what he needed to learn in order for his original plan to work anyway, easily at least. He was hoping that it would be easy, something he could learn on the fly. It would seem that luck was not on his side today though. "By the way, this is the only time I feel the need to say this... but it's about to get violent so please don't kill anyone, even by accident." Naruto deadpanned as they all quickly rushed their way to the front of the city.

There were roman soldiers holding spears at the gate, checking people that came through the gate itself. They weren't alert or on guard, which showed they were unaware of possible enemy invasions at the moment.

News of the United Roman Empire had yet to reach Rome.

"Are we not going to sto-"

Naruto slammed his forehead against the helmet of the soldier as soon as the man opened his mouth to greet Naruto. Naruto's servants sent him shocked looks at the random act of violence, while Naruto just ripped the spear out of the other guard's hands. He kept running with the spear in hand. He pole vaulted using the spear, and flung himself high into the air, landing on top of the roof of the closest building.

"Ah... we're brute forcing this, no need for stealth anymore." Gareth realized that Naruto was going to be doing things the difficult way.

Then again, they didn't exactly have time to do things the civil way, when that could take days or weeks.

"I apologize, but we mean no harm!"

"No harm!" Asterious called out as he jumped onto the building right behind Atalanta, repeating her words to the people that screamed in shock upon seeing them act. Gareth was right behind them in their roof hopping adventure.

-In Nero's Palace-

"News of hostile forces in the city, really umu?"

"Yes Emperor Nero, the guards at the front gate were assaulted. It seems that we have an enemy on the way here."

"Wahahahaha! It seems there is somebody after my head, of course, you take out the most glorious of your enemies first! Very well, see to it that they are greeted when they arrive!" A beautiful girl spoke as she picked a curved red sword off the ground, and she stood up from her throne. She was Nero, emperor of Rome, and she was ready for a fight if the enemy was already here to take care of her themselves.

The window shattered as an arrow sailed through it, and pierced the wall 10 feet ABOVE Nero's head. Either the archer was a horrible shot, or they weren't aiming to take her head with that arrow in the first place.

"Emperor Nero!"

Naruto came crashing through the window with Asterios carrying him, Gareth and Atalanta not far behind him.

"So you've come-!"

"United Roman Empire wants to kill Nero, and they have built forces with legendary heroes called servants as their support! Evil mages with the Holy Grail manipulating things, and you're a girl, but that doesn't matter to me right now because you're in danger and if you die the world is in danger!" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs before Asterious even touched feet to the ground. Naruto jumped out of Asterios arms and grabbed a hold around Nero's waist, lifting her up into the air and on his shoulder.

"UMU!?"

"I'm sorry, he's really a reasonable man, but we're kind of in a hurry." Gareth apologized to the soldier that she bashed in the face with her shield, knocking him right off his feet and into a group of soldiers rushing into the room. Atalanta kicked them out of the room and locked the doors behind them, with Asterios picking Naruto and Nero up.

"What is going on!"

"Trust me, things are easier this way! Go big guy, go and escape from the city with us! Gareth, you stay here and hold off the soldiers from following us! Atalanta, you run ahead of Asterios and clear a path, don't kill anyone! Gareth, meet up at the place with the thing!" Naruto shouted as he held an apple above his head.

"Naruto, your plan is chaos!?"

"Yes, my plan is chaos Romani! Instead of wasting time explaining shit, I'm going to do something way faster!"

-Hours Later-

"... Care to explain what is happening?" Nero asked with a raised eyebrow, her arms were tied behind her back with her having no way of undoing the knot. It was a good knot, and she didn't have her sword on her at the moment since her kidnapping. "You're not after my life, so what are you after?" Nero couldn't imagine somebody kidnapping her in such a non-lethal manner having anything against her personally.

Naruto was panting, on his hands and knees from exhaustion.

Days and days of running withour rest had caught up to him, and it was taking everything in him to not just roll over and pass out.

"Yes, care to explain this plan?" Atalanta asked Naruto as well.

He kind of left them all out of the plan.

Gareth appeared out of thin air when she left her spirit form, having used it to escape the city without causing any fights when her job was done.

"Nero, would you believe me if I said that there is a United Roman Empire that wants you dead, and to destroy Rome?"

"Rome will never die, and I am Rome, so I will never die!"

"Yeah, and history thinks you're a man, so clearly some stuff got lost in translation. So clearly Rome is flawed, you're a woman, and your life is in serious danger with humanity being on the line." Naruto was still on his hands and knees, but he pointed a finger at Nero anyway without so much as looking at her.

"What, what, huh, what, and eh?"

"I'm from the future, a group of mages called Chaldea sent me back in time with my servants here. See that ring in the sky that wasn't there awhile ago, this is a Singularity... some rat bastards came back here to fuck the timeline up, and we're here to make sure it doesn't happen. If you die, then the United Roman Empire takes over Rome and this part of history gets destroyed... and the future of humanity gets destroyed with it." Naruto laid down on his face.

"Easier explanation, we need you to understand we really don't want you to get hurt, but we need to make sure you believe us. Are we going to show her the enemy army?" Gareth asked now that she was starting to see the plan.

Prove their truth to Nero with action instead of just talking.

"So there IS an enemy army, and you plan to show them to me..." Nero spoke softly for a moment.

"Seems that was the plan." Atalanta offered with a raised eyebrow.

Good plan for convincing Nero, but very badly executed.

"... I believe you then, only a complete mad man would do all of this if there wasn't some truth to his words. If you did indeed plan to show me an invading army, then there must be an army to show me... not sure I believe that you're from the future umu." Nero stated as she shifted in her rope bindings.

She did believe them though.

If they planned to show her an army, then most likely there was a high chance of there being an army to show her. That wasn't counting for the fact that her Court Mage had recently been killed and she was blind to what was going on in her empire at the moment.

"You believe us... just like that."

"Nero... I'm severely sleep deprived, can we go back to Rome and borrow some bedrooms. Tomorrow morning, we can talk in more details." Naruto wasn't even able to stay on all fours. He was dead exhausted now, even his servants were showing signs of exhaustion and he was supplying them with magic to stave that off. "Also... I'm starving, and these guys must be hungry too."

"Not really, servants don't need to eat, we just do it for enjoyment."

"Not hungry."

"I would enjoy some roasted boar, with fresh apples." Atalanta made a request, since Nero believing them meant they were officially allies now. Common sense dictated that the person aiming to save your life was your ally.

"Done and done, now can you do something about these ropes?"

Atalanta untied her.

"UMU!"

Nero kicked Naruto in the balls.

"That is for kidnapping me, and with it all is forgiven. Now we may go back to my glorious Rome, rest, and begin tomorrow speaking of battle plans."

"Master... deserved that." Asterios covered his own crotch in sympathy, but everyone agreed that Naruto had that one coming. He didn't tell any of them the plan.

Then again, Naruto came up with that plan while severeluy sleep deprived.

Don't underestimate sleep deprivation.
