Here is the fifth chapter of Naruto's adventure through the multiverse. He's been to some crazy worlds in the multiverse. He's met a new friend on Earth-38, saved a colony of future people on Earth-21, dabbled his scientific and biological mind on Earth-28, and hunted the Supernatural on Earth-29. It's time for a change-up. It turns out there are several earths out there that share one unique characteristic that makes them different from other earths in the multiverse. Animation. Enjoy!
Everything I grew up believing in was a lie. My parent's work, Dr. Wells, all of it was not at all what I thought to be. The day I was struck by lightning, it restarted my life and I protected my city with the help of my friends and partner, The Flash. Over the course of a year, I learned the truth about my parents and their work that got them killed. I avenged their death, but the mastermind is still out there. Unfortunately, things got even more complicated as Dr. Wells turned out to be the Reverse Flash, an evil Speedster from the future who came back in time to exact revenge against Barry but in the process, the people he hated ended up being his ultimate lifeline home. In his final act, Central City was nearly destroyed and, in an effort, to save it, my friend and I were thrown into an alternate world. With no way back now, I will use my speed to help the people of Earth-2 until I find a way home. My name is Impulse, and this is my story.
Adventures through the Multiverse: Part 5 Let's get animated
Earth-N52
A blue breach portal opened up in the middle of a city street and out raced Naruto dressed in his regular clothes before he slid to a stop. The portal closed right behind him and while it would take a little looking around and asking to figure out if he was on the right earth or not, Naruto knew his answer the second he arrived. How?
"Whoa…" Naruto said in awe as he looked at his hand which was still his hand but it was animated. And some pretty sleek animation as well. Naruto walked to a nearby building and looked at himself in the glass reflection to see that his body and face was still there and he was still alive and well but was animated like a cartoon. "Ok, this is kind of cool. The Multiverse sure is weird."
He began dancing around and even took some pictures to capture the moment when he heard a loud rumble followed by an explosion and loud screeches that at first sounded like an army of weird animals. That was followed up what looked like hundreds of winged creatures flying into the air. "What the hell?" Naruto put his goggles on and they zoomed in on the creatures in the distance to show him large 7 foot tall monsters in gold armor with sharp claws and teeth, glowing green veins around their body, large bat-like wings on their backs and what looked like the omega symbol on their chests. "Gideon, any idea what those are?"
His goggles scanned the creatures and began breaking down their appearance and armor for a rough analysis. "From what I can ascertain based on their design, energy output and my archives they would appear to be Parademons from the planet known as Apokolips." Gideon told him, bringing up her archival data on Parademons from her future. "Genetically engineering beings designed and programmed as loyal soldiers for their leader. Dangerous, deadly, and their arrival on this earth would suggest an invasion from the planet Apokolips."
"Can they be killed?" Naruto asked.
"Yes. While they were designed as soldiers, they are not out of the means of being destroyed but I would advise caution. Parademons swarm their target and their arrival would suggest the later arrival of a being known as Darkseid." Gideon brought up an image of a giant grey skinned alien in blue armor with the same Omega symbol on his belt and he was both huge and intimating. "He is someone that even you and the greatest heroes on your earth have had trouble with in the future."
"Great, facing against an alternate version of a big boss and his army." Naruto commented when he saw that the Parademons were spreading out like a plague and abducting people. "Those people are in danger. Gideon, keep me updated if something comes up and tap into this city's database to see if there are other heroes or at least is there's a Flash on this earth."
Gideon began hacking into nearby systems until she was uploaded and began doing a search while Naruto took off at super speed which on this earth looked different since it was animated. It looked like he had a blurred trail behind him as he ran which was likely this world's representing him running at super speed. His lightning trail was still present so that stayed the same. He held his ring forward as his Impulse suit shot out and he quickly changed before racing to the source of the Parademons. When he arrived, he saw swarms of them coming out of a warehouse undergoing construction and they were like a plague of locust coming out in the hundreds. It was a literal invasion.
He saw the Parademons heading into the city and snatching civilians who were still on the street so he raced over to stop them. A group of 40 civilians including young children were running as fast as they could down the street to escape the flying monsters but they weren't fast enough. Three Parademons flew down and grabbed a mother and her two children when they were suddenly taken from the Parademons' claws and whisked away. Before any of the other civilians could be taken they were also whisked away at super speed. The Parademons were confused when something slammed into one of them at super speed and with enough force that it caved in the armor and killed it.
Naruto appeared in the middle of the street in his suit with his goggles on his forehead. When the Parademons saw him, they tried to swarm him but he super sped out of the way and punched one in the face. Since he was moving at super speed, his fist hit with the same force as a car going over 300 miles per hour. He super sped around the Parademons and took them down quickly and efficiently before he began speeding through the city and moving everyone within about a mile radius to the outskirts. He acted fast and outraced several Parademons before taking them out and getting more people away.
He saw more Parademons flying into the sky so he activated his gauntlets and raced to their source at the old warehouse where he saw a man in a green and black glowing suit with a green mask over his face. He had a green glowing mallet in one hand while his other hand was conjuring a shield that was keeping the Parademons was escaping the warehouse. All of the things he was making seemed to be coming from the ring on his right hand as it was glowing the brightest.
A Parademon charged at him so he unsheathed his forearm blade and sliced its head off before sidestepping another one, grabbing its large arm and throwing it into a parked car. He then fired a repulsor blast at the car causing it to explode into pieces and taking the Parademon down as well. The glowing green man created a heavy artillery gun with his ring and blasted a dozen Parademons into pieces but when he did so the shield around the warehouse faded.
On the ground fighting a few Parademons was a man in the grey and black cowl of Batman, or at least this Earth's Batman who manage to wrestle a Parademon to the ground and stab it in the head with a Batarang. "Lantern, Concentrate! Your constructs are fading. Your mind is scattered!" Batman then dodged a Parademon and pushed it aside where he killed it with an explosive Batarang.
"Worry about yourself. You're the one without powers." Lantern pointed out when a Parademon snuck up behind him. Before it could eat his head, it got a Batarang to the forehead which exploded. Lantern then created another mallet and began whacking every single Parademon that came his way.
"We need to take a step back and regroup. There's too many of them just to barrel through." Batman suggested.
"Oh, yeah?" Lantern asked, blasting one Parademon with his ring. "Tell that to Superman!"
This earth's Superman was largely built like a wrestler and wearing a dark blue suit with a red cape but the signature red and yellow S-logo on his chest. He was punching through Parademons left and right before he vaporized a bunch with his heat vision. When he saw more coming he flew over and picked up a cargo truck. "Come on! That's it, smile for me!" He then used the pickup truck like a baseball bat and smashed through dozens of Parademons before throwing it into a group. He then blew it up with his heat vision. Before he could continue the fight, his super hearing picked up a distress call from the capital and that Air Force One was under attack so he flew away.
"And there goes our big gun. Fantastic." Lantern said sarcastically as another wave of Parademons rushed him and Batman.
That's when a crimson and silver blur rushed by them in the blink of an eye and Parademon after Parademon dropped dead either by decapitation, stab to the chest or multiple punches to the body. The blur stopped and began spinning his arm which created a spinning vortex of air, knocking some of the Parademons into the side of a building. A whole mob of them then tried to swarm him so he began running in a circle and the second a Parademon was close it was killed. He was essentially a spinning circle of death and anything that got close was taken out. Batman and Green Lantern watched as the speeding blur took down over a hundred Parademons in a minute with no issue. The blur then slowed down and threw out his arm, sending a bolt of white and crimson lighting which struck a group of Parademons. They were electrocuted and dropped to the ground next to Batman and Green Lantern.
With the speeding blur no longer moving they were able to get their first real look at him. He had spikey blonde hair and goggles on his forehead with a red, silver, and black suit. He had small lightning bolts on his mask by his ears, a belt with various pouches, armored gauntlets on his hands, one with a bloody blade coming out of the forearm and a lightning bolt symbol surrounded by a gear icon.
"Is he with you?" Green Lantern asked Batman.
"I was about to ask you the same question." Batman told him as Naruto turned to face them.
"Not someone you guys would know and I'm not exactly from around here. It's a long story but the name's Impulse, superhero speedster and I'm here to help." He told them. "Maybe we can save the questions and answers for after we handle the Parademons."
"Sounds like a plan to me. Keep up, kid!" Green Lantern powered up and flew into the sky as Batman fired his grapple hook at a building while he super sped after them. Impulse stuck to the ground, running through the city at speeds of Mach 1 and introducing Parademon after Parademon into what it felt like to get hit by something moving at about 800 miles per hour. That was along with getting any stranded civilians to safety.
Green Lantern stuck to the air blasting or smashing Parademons with his ring either with energy blasts or mallet constructs. One charged at him and he crushed with a spiked wall construct before creating a minigun and gunning down dozens. Batman flipped through the air and kicked another Parademon back when three more dropped down. Batman readied himself and subtly reached into his belt as he backed away and kicked one of the Parademons in the head. He jumped and landed a right cross to the face before following that up with a knee which knocked it back. The second one swiped at him but missed as Batman ducked under its arm and slammed it in the back. The third one opened his large mouth and spewed out fire but Batman spin kicked it in the face so it burned the other two Parademons instead. He finished it up with a jumping kick so the Parademon's fire breath was redirected onto its head. It scrambled away before dropping to the ground, dead. Another Parademon arrived but it was run over by a pickup truck construct curtesy of Green Lantern.
Impulse appeared next to them as Green Lantern floated down next. "That wasn't so hard." That's when they heard another loud explosion and more Parademons began to swarm out of a building. Lantern just facepalmed as a Parademon landed behind him. But before it could attack, a blur sped by it twice before it landed 16 punches to the chest and then an uppercut, taking it down. In the red and yellow suit with the lightning bolt symbol was this earth's version of the Flash.
"Looks like you could use a hand." Flash told them.
"Flash! My boy! Good to see you." Lantern shook his hand and began doing a weird handshake. Granted, Flash didn't know what to do so it was more for Lantern's sake. "Oh, yeah and there's Batman."
"Batman's real?" Flash asked as he super sped up to Batman who was fixing his grappling hook. "It is a real honor to meet you, sir, Batman, sir Ba—Batman, sir."
Flash held out his hand for a handshake as Lantern walked over. "Don't bother. Guy's a total tool."
He was proven wrong as Batman shook his hand. "I've followed your efforts in Central City, Flash. You do tight, efficient work."
All the Flash could do was smile at the compliment which from Batman was like getting hugged by a celebrity. "Hey, Barry, you uh got a little something on your nose." Lantern mocked and Flash just sneered. That's when he saw Naruto and the lightning bolt symbol on his suit. "Oh yeah. That's Impulse. Speedster like you."
"I didn't know there was another speedster like me out there. It's nice to meet you but I hate to tell you that the lightning bolt symbol is kind of my thing." Flash told Naruto.
"Yeah, I get that but I've made it my own." Narut pointed to the gear icon he had around it and his Lightning bolt was a little different. "And the reason you've never heard about me is because I'm not from around here. It's kind of complicated but how familiar are you with the speed force?"
"Pretty familiar and so are you considering you know it's the speed force that gives us our powers." Flash pointed out.
"Yup. Are you aware of our ability to vibrate at certain vibrational frequencies that we can jump from one earth to another?" Naruto asked and Flash nodded.
"Oh, I get it. You're from another earth. I've had a situation like that but how do I know you're really good and not an evil speedster? I've run into one of those before." Flash pointed out.
"Because I helped the green guy and Batman stop the Parademons and saved a bunch of civilians. Plus, an evil speedster wouldn't be as pleasant as I am." Naruto pointed out.
"Hate to break up this little speedster conversation but what are you guys talking about?" Lantern asked.
"It's complicated." Flash and Naruto replied at the same time.
"Get ready, here they come!" Batman told them as another wave of Parademons flew down and landed on the ground.
"For Darkseid!"
"HAH!"
Before any of them could start fighting, a woman in a blue, silver, and red leotard carrying a sword and lasso flew down and crashed right into the middle of the group of Parademons. She rushed out and took down one Parademon with an elbow and then super strength punch to the face jumping back from a claw swipe from another. She threw out her lasso and snared the Parademon around the neck before throwing it into the side of a building.
"Holy…" Flash muttered.
"…Crap…" Naruto added.
More Parademons charged the woman so she just yanked the lassoed Parademon into the group before charging at them with her sword. She sliced one across the chest and then slashed the leg of another before leaping on its back and driving her sword into its head. She flipped into the air to avoid another Parademon and bisected it at the waist, spraying some of its green blood on her hands. With the last Parademon dealt with, she turned to face the others and held her sword up. This was Wonder Woman.
"Greetings, warriors."
"Dibs." Lantern said as he flew over to her. "Hi."
Before Lantern could say anything else, Superman hovered down in front of him and gave him a look that said back off so he did. Wonder Woman stabbed her sword into the ground and tied up her lasso around her waist. "Ah, it's good to be back in the heat of war." She remarked when they saw the Parademons flying away.
"Yeah, you better run!" Lantern boasted.
"No, they're assembling, waiting for whoever's behind this to launch the attack." Batman told him.
"All right, now what?" Superman asked.
"I don't know." Batman replied.
"Maybe I can help." Naruto stepped forward. "I might have some information that could prove useful."
"And who are you?" Superman asked so Naruto removed his mask so they could see his real face.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze but when in costume I go by Impulse and I'm from Central City. Or more accurately, Central City but in another dimension." Naruto explained, earning blank looks from Green Lantern.
"Yeah, you lost me there, kid."
"He's saying that he's a speedster who's traveled here from another earth in the multiverse. As to how, most likely due to his enhanced speed that he was able to create a wormhole through the barrier that separates our dimensions." Batman explained.
"Score one for the world's greatest detective and Batman is telling the truth. I'm not from this earth but it's similar to this one. I have a Batman on my earth who I've met and I work with the Flash of my Central City." Naruto pressed a button on his gauntlet and projected a holographic photo of him and Barry in costume along with him and his earth's Batman.
"Ok…starting to buy the story." Superman stated.
"Why have you come here then?" Wonder Woman asked.
"It wasn't really planned. An accident knocked me from my earth and I've been trying to get back home ever since. I ended up here on the way which is when the Parademons started to invade. I have a database on them from my earth. They're genetically engineered mindless soldiers and if they're here then Apokolips is invading earth." Naruto explained when he saw something flying towards them but it wasn't a Parademon. "What the hell is that?"
The others turned and saw what he did. "Incoming." Lantern raised his ring in preparation as whatever was flying at them landed on the street. Naruto put his mask back on and everyone was ready to fight. They weren't sure what they were looking at but it had the same glowing veins the Parademons did but it was made of metal.
"Mine." Wonder Woman grabbed her sword and charged.
That's when Naruto saw that whatever metal man had arrived was also human as he saw a man's face cojoined with the metal armor. "Wonder Woman, wait!"
Naruto's warning came too late as she charged but the metal man activated a laser in his right hand and blasted her into a car. "Dammit."
"That's it, you're done." Superman's eyes began to glow red as the metal man's body began to morph to appear more human and slimmed down from his previous bulky frame.
"Wait! I'm not with them!" He pleaded.
"Hold on." Flash got in front of Superman and stopped his attack. "I can vouch for that. He was at STAR labs.
That's when they were joined by someone else who was accompanied by a crack of thunder. The mystery man was wearing a red suit with a gold belt, forearm bracers, boots, and lightning bolt symbol on his chest along with a white cape and hoodie. And his body was sparing with electricity. "Hey there. What's up? Shazam. I'm with him." He pointed to the metal man behind him.
"He's not with me."
"And who the hell are you supposed to be, Mr. Roboto?" Lantern asked.
"Who I am doesn't matter. What I know does."
"Which is?" Batman wondered.
"I've…talked to their technology. I know their plan. They're terraforming the earth. It's about to get ugly."
"That fits." Batman stated.
"How do you figure?" Lantern asked.
"Well, for one thing, the water's on fire." Batman pointed to the ocean and there was indeed a ring of fire that the Parademons seemed to flock around. The fire swirled around in place before a large black metal tower appeared and soon more towers began to sprout up around the city. The top of the towers began to power up and began producing beams of light which drew in the Parademons and the humans they kidnapped.
"What are they doing with them?" Superman wondered.
"Can't be sure but I know this. They're not killing anyone, they're harvesting them." Batman surmised.
"This isn't an isolated incident either. It's happening across the world." Flash added.
"If it had to guess…the Parademons went to get fresh test subjects for more Parademons. When you invade a new territory, you exploit its resources which in this case happens to be humans. Apokolips is invading which means it won't be long before their leader shows up." Naruto said when they all felt a rumble. The tower over the water fired a beam into the sky which was actually a boom tube teleporter and out flocked even more Parademons.
"We're too late. He's here." Cyborg told them.
From the boom tube teleporter, a giant alien clad in black and blue armor appeared. He was grey skinned, had red eyes and the same Omega symbol on his belt.
"I'm guessing that's the bad guy." Lantern said.
"Lucky guess." Batman told him.
"Hmm, he doesn't look that tough." Superman commented.
"I wouldn't underestimate him, Superman. If my info is right, he's someone that your doppelgangers on my earth have serious trouble with." Naruto warned him when they saw F-16 fighter jets fly overhead. The military must be starting their counteroffensive.
The jets fired three missiles before flying past him for another attack run but their missiles did nothing and Darkseid didn't even seem to notice. That's when his eyes glowed red and shot out twin beams of red energy that zigzagged through the sky and destroyed the three jets like they were nothing.
"No…" Flash muttered as Darkseid hovered over to them with an army of Parademons.
"I am Entropy…I am Death. I am Darkseid."
Everyone stood ready to fight when Green Lantern stepped up front. "Stand back and peep the light show. Green Lanter's got this!" He made a spiked gauntlet construct in his hand and charged, punching Darkseid in the face but the construct broke apart on contact indicating that Lanter's willpower wasn't strong enough to hurt him. Darkseid responded by simply punching Lantern away where he crashed through a tree, hit the side of a building, and fell to the ground where two Parademons pounced and beat the crap out of him.
Flash and Impusle super sped over and took out the two Parademons as the others charged at the heroes. Superman burned one in half with his heat vision before flying into the air while Shazam grappled one and threw it to the ground. Wonder Woman sliced it in two before spinning around and decapitating another when Batman charged forward and kicked another in the head, knocking it back before stabbing a Batarang in its head. Superman hovered in the air and blasted Parademon after Parademon with his heat vision when one grabbed him from behind so he broke free and punched its head off. Flash took out a Parademon with super speed punches before pushing another back while Impulse sped around the area and took down Parademons using his forearm blade. He sliced through Parademons and moved fast enough to avoid being attacked.
Green Lantern managed to push himself back up to his knees. "That all you got? Not all I got." He flew at Darkseid and conjuring up a giant locomotive but again his construct broke against Darkseid and he hit the ground. Darkseid's eyes glowed and he was about to blast Lantern when Superman punched him twice in the face. It seemed to solicit a reaction from the giant alien as it responded by grabbing Superman by the cape and throwing him through the ground.
"Uh…I'm not through with you." Lantern powered up and charged again, hitting Darkseid with a giant mallet but the construct broke again. Darkseid grabbed Lantern's right arm and squeeze, breaking his arm, and causing him to scream in pain. He then tossed his body aside like it was garbage.
Wonder Woman attacked Darkseid using her sword but it didn't make a dent against his armor. He punched her back but Superman flew up and caught her before putting her on the ground and charging again at Darkseid. Shazam saw the whole thing and floated down next to her. "Is that your boyfriend?"
"No." She replied.
"Cool. Watch this. Hey, Blackheart the Death eater or whatever your World of Warcraft name is, suck on this!" Shazam fired a lightning bolt from his hand but when it hit Darkseid it didn't seem to do anything. Darkseid fired his Omega beams which pushed the lightning back and hit Shazam, sending him crashing into the street.
Batman, Cyborg, and Impulse saw another of their heavy hitters was taken down swiftly by Darkseid. They were losing this battle.
"Now what?" Cyborg asked.
"Now you die." Darkseid arm's began glowing as he raised them up above his head.
"Take cover!" Impulse shouted just as Darkseid slammed his hands into the ground, creating a devastating explosion and shockwave of energy. The explosion was powerful enough that the energy it produced brought some nearby buildings down. Impulse ran away from the energy blast, grabbing Batman and Cyborg with him as he race away to a safe distance. The aftermath of the damage was devastating but Darkseid stood in the epicenter with a smug smile on his face. Superman survived the explosion and Flash hid behind him for safety before the two took off at super speed to avoid Darkseid's Omega beams. Both of them had a beam locked on them and while the Flash was able to use several cars and Parademons to block the Omega beam, Superman wasn't as lucky and got hit. He wasn't killed but the blast knocked him out and a Parademon scooped him up and took him to the Boom tube teleporter.
With his greatest threat captured and the others seemingly dead, Darkseid hovered in the air and began attacking the rest of the city. Impusle returned to the blast site with Batman and Cyborg and luckily Shazam, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern were still alive. The Flash then returned and he was worried.
"They flew off with him. I saw it. They took Superman."
"I'll get him." Lantern cradled his broken arm and hovered into the air towards the tower in the middle of the ocean but his flying indicated he wasn't doing well. Surprisingly enough, Batman was the one who caught up and talked some sense into him.
Everyone regrouped and took a breather making sure that they weren't badly injured and other than a few scrapes and bruises, everyone was ok. Lantern hovered down and rejoined them after his conversation with Batman. "You guys ok? Good. Listen up. Uh…ahem. We need to, uh…we need to play offense. Instead of all coming up to bat."
That suggestion just earned him confused looks from everyone. "Uh, what?" Flash asked.
"I apologize, but I don't know your games." Wonder Woman told him.
"I think what Lantern is saying is that it's time for some teamwork, so let's pull it together." Cyborg said.
"Yeah, Baby! Clap it up!" Shazam shouted, putting his hand out for a group huddle but got weird looks instead.
"What's the plan, then?" Flash asked.
"Well…he blasts those beams out of his eyes, right?" Lantern said.
"It's settled, then. We blind him." Wonder Woman raised her sword up with determination.
"That's as good a plan as any, yeah. We follow, and we stay out of sight. I'll turn on the fireworks to get his attention. Princess, you get in striking distance and stab that son of a bitch in the eyes." Lantern planned out.
"Like poor damned Oedipus." She smiled.
"Yeah, like the hot Greek chick said." Shazam added.
"And the invasion of monsters raining from the sky? What about them?" Flash wondered as Impulse thought over the situation and a possible plan in his head.
"Maybe Cyborg and I might be able to figure out a way to send them back." He tapped the computer on his gauntlet and had Gideon synch her system with Cyborg's. "I've synched my system with his. I'm something of a super genius on my earth so we should be able to figure out how to send them back through the teleporters they're using."
"Good enough for me." Lantern floated into the air. "Here we go, team. We got this!"
"We're gonna get out asses kicked." Impulse commented as he took off running in the same direction Lantern was going. Flash followed and Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Shazam flew in the air.
"So, your earth? What's it like?" Flash asked Impulse. "And what's the other me like?"
"Well, my earth wasn't under an alien invasion when I left. In fact, I don't think there was really proof of aliens before I left. But I imagine it's not that different from this one except for one or two differences." He decided to keep the whole animated issues to himself. One less thing to worry about. "As for the Flash on my earth…it's hard to say. I think you're a little older than the Flash on my earth and considering how Lantern called you Barry, then your secret identity as Barry Allen is the same as my earth."
"Wow, you know who I am. We must really be good friends." Flash said only to notice the look Impulse had on his face.
"I'm not sure about the friends part. Before I left, things got really intense and trusts were broken. If we were friends, we weren't when I left." Impulse told him. "Oh, I'm still mad at him for what happened but after what I've been through, it seems kind of petty to hold onto a grudge after what's happened."
"Well, if he's anything like me then I think he regrets what happened. In my experience, life's too short to hold onto grudges. When you get home, you should talk to my doppelganger and work things out. Us speedsters have to stick together." Flash told him as they were closing in on Darkseid and his Parademons. He was still hovering in the air, firing his Omega beams at buildings, and vaporizing them while civilians ran away in terror. "We got to get those people to safety."
"Let's go." Impulse told him as he and Flash sped up and carried the civilians in the immediate vicinity away. While they got the people out of harms way Lantern, Shazam, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg would attack.
"Ok, just like we planned. I'll distract him—"
"Darkseid!" Shazam just charged at him full speed, seemingly forgetting the plan all together.
"What the—"
Shazam channeled lightning into his fist as he flew at Darkseid but before he could land a punch, Darkseid simply turned around and grabbed him with his giant fist. He squeezed, causing Shazam to cry out in pain as he accidently fired a lightning bolt that hit Cyborg. After they got the civilians out of the way, Flash and Impulse ran up the side of buildings and jumped at Darkseid punching and kicking him at super speed before racing away and then doing it over and over again. They were working in tandem to distract and keep him off balance.
Lantern saw Flash and Impulse keeping Darkseid occupied which was a good thing as he raised his ring to attack but couldn't with Shazam still in his grip. "Get that idiot out of there! His showboating is gonna ruin the entire plan!" Wonder Woman nodded and flew at Darkseid, slashing at him with her sword. "Oh, great now I'm Batman."
Flash raced over Darkseid's shoulder and punched him in the face thirty times before running away while Impulse did the same but punched him in the gut. Wonder Woman slashed him across the chest so Darkseid used Shazam and slammed them both into the ground. Lantern rushed over and hit Darkseid in the head with a mace construct before making a shield that Darkseid punched through and knocked him back next to Shazam and Wonder Woman.
"What's the big deal, I had him!" Shazam told them.
"Dude you had squat." Lantern told him when a Parademon was blasted by Cyborg.
"Head's up guys!" Cyborg warned them as he and Lantern went to help Flash and Impulse who were still attacking Darkseid.
Wonder Woman wiped the blood from her mouth before punching Shazam into a wall. "You are a warrior, not a child. Act like it."
"Yes, Ma'am." Shazam replied.
"Now follow me to victory!" She held up her sword and flew at him.
"She digs me." Shazam muttered.
"ATTACK!" Wonder Woman charged and the others followed in her lead.
Darkseid hovered over the water as his Parademons flocked around him in a protective circle before they charged at the heroes and he fired his Omega beams. They hit Wonder Woman but her bracers saved her and the impact just knocked her back. The others attacked the Parademons while Flash and Impulse managed to slip past them and head towards Darkseid. He fired another blast of his Omega beams but they split up so they crashed into the water while the two speedsters raced around him and created a giant water funnel. With it providing cover and concealment, they were able to hit Darkseid from all around before jumping back into the funnel.
The two slowed down so the water funnel splashed all over Darkseid before Impulse threw out a lightning bolt which electrocute him and judging by his facial expression, he was pissed. He fired his Omega beams so the two speedsters split up as Shazam flew at Darkseid punched him three times in the face before he was knocked back. Shazam got hit by Darkseid's Omega beams again and was knocked back into a building when Cyborg blew by and blasted him with his white noise cannon. Impulse raced by as well, firing repulsor blast after repulsor blast which kept him off balance. That left him open to a giant explosion that actually sent the Apokoliptian tyrant skidding across the water. The source of said explosion was a giant alien warship construct curtesy of Green Lantern.
"Hey, Darkseid, eat this!" Lantern's alien warship construct opened fire again which actually force Darkseid to fly at full speed and use his Omega beams to destroy the construct before punching Lantern into the water. Shazam landed some hits before moving out of the way just as Wonder Woman flew by and slashed him. Darkseid punched her back as she skidded across the water and steadied herself.
"Come on, giant! I'm getting bored." Wonder Woman told him.
"This world is mine." Darkseid proclaimed.
Wonder Woman charged, managing to avoid Darkseid's attacks before racing up his arm and wrapping the lasso around his neck. Darkseid actually struggled to get free as Wonder Woman maneuvered herself onto the back of his neck and tightened the lasso to keep him from moving. A pair of Omega beams nearly hit her but her bracers blocked the energy before she managed to drive her sword into his right eye. Red energy crackled from the wound and Darkseid shouted in pain before a giant green submarine construct barreled into him and sent him into the sky.
Lantern flew out of the water and hovered next to her. "One down, one to go."
Impulse raced across the water and knocked down Parademon after Parademon when Gideon beeped with an alert. "Naruto, I hacked into nearby satellites and using them and Cyborg's systems I've managed to analyze the energy coming from Darkseid and the towers. The source of the teleporters to earth are coming from devices known as Mother Boxes. They're creating the Boom Tubes which allow Darkseid and his army to arrive on earth."
"Good to know. Can you hack into them?" Naruto asked, driving his forearm blade into the head of another Parademon before spinning around like a top and taking out several more.
"Doing so would take all of my processing power and a lot of time. Time I believe you don't have." Gideon informed him.
"Connect to Cyborg. If he's merged with their technology then maybe the two of you can do something." He told her as he took down a few more Parademons.
Cyborg flew around using his jetpack and blasted more Parademons with his white noise cannon before unfolded his rocket launchers in his shoulders and firing a barrage. As he was fighting, Gideon connected to his system. "Good evening, Mr. Stone."
"Who are you?" Cyborg asked.
"I am Gideon, an interactive artificial consciousness assisting Impulse. I've managed to gain vital information which I believe could assist you and the others in dealing with the army from Apokolips." She told him and Cyborg's systems began analyzing the information.
Darkseid didn't take too kindly to Wonder Woman stabbing his eye out and he proved it by tackling her through several city blocks and beating the ever-living hell out of her. Flash managed to distract him before Darkseid got in a hit. Lantern saved Flash and Shazam kept him back before Cyborg blasted him. Impulse raced over and circled around him, landing super speed punch after super speed punch all over his body causing Darkseid to shout in pain and anger. He slammed his fists into the ground and ended up backhanded Impulse through a wall as Cyborg rushed over to check on him. Shazam landed a lightning infused twin punch to Darkseid's back which made him scream in pain before elbowing Shazam through a building. That gave Wonder Woman a chance to surprise him with a kick to the back of the head followed by an uppercut to the face. She barreled into Darkseid and landed punch after punch to his stomach as she forced him up into the air through the building they were in.
Cyborg helped Impulse back to his feet as his super healing was doing its job. Seeing Wonder Woman taking Darkseid into the air, he got an idea on how to take out the other eye. He just needed some time and enough distance. "Lantern!" Impulse shouted, getting his attention. "Try and keep still him in one place a little longer. I have an idea. All I need from you is a ramp aimed right at Darkseid!"
"A ramp?! What for?!" Lantern asked, blasting another Parademon with his ring.
"Trust me. It'll make sense when you see it." Impulse punched a Parademon back before he took off running east out of the city. The others kept up the battle against Darkseid while Naruto took running east and he didn't stop until he was about 800 miles from Metropolis in the middle of lonely highway. He took a few deep breaths before turning around and taking an Olympic running stance like a track star would. "Gideon, make sure you tell Cyborg when I'm close so he can tell Green Lantern."
"Roger that. Be careful, Naruto. Darkseid is powerful and if you miss at your top speed then it could cause some serious injuries." Gideon informed him.
"Then I'm gonna need a little luck on my side. Speed Force, don't fail me now." He took several deep breaths to slow his heart rate down as he knelt down and readied himself. His boots dug into the concrete and he put his goggles on, focused and in the zone for his task which could help stop Darkseid. Crimson and white lightning sparked around his body and his eyes as he took a deep breath before he started running and took off like a rocket.
He kicked up a giant shockwave that sounded like thunder as he ran all the way back to Metropolis 800 miles away going at full speed of about 9,000 miles per hour. He'd get there in a few minutes. His mind was focused and concentrated on his task but if he or anyone else was paying attention then they would have seen the unintentional damage his speed caused to the surrounding area. Going at about 12 times the speed of sound causes shockwaves which broke windows, set off car alarms, and cast out winds that sent trashcans, mailboxes, and other items flying.
The others in Metropolis kept up the fight against Darkseid as Wonder Woman managed to loop her lasso around his neck and tie him up while Lantern, Shazam and Cyborg blasted him. Flash raced around and took down the Parademons to keep them back and when more were getting close Shazam released a lightning field that struck them down like flies. Cyborg kept blasting Darkseid with his white noise cannon before firing a barrage of missiles when his HUD alerted him to Impulse coming in at 9,000 mph and heading straight at Darkseid.
"Lantern, get that ramp ready! Impulse is coming in and he's coming in fast!" Cyborg told him, firing some rockets at a group of Parademons."
"How fast?" Lantern asked, keeping up his barrage against Darkseid.
"Over 9,000 mph fast." Cyborg told him. "Everyone, keep Darkseid from moving!"
"Right." Lantern nodded and he flew away to get some distance, blasting some Parademons as he did.
Shazam concentrated and conjured up a giant lightning ball which he struck Darkseid with and the energy hurt as well as kept him immobile for a bit. Cyborg kept up blasting Darkseid as Lantern quickly created a long and flat ramp on the street that led right to the Apokolips leader. The Parademons saw what he was doing and charged at him so Flash kept them off of his back. Darkseid struggled to escape his bindings and attacks before he managed to get an arm free, grab the Lasso and hurl Wonder Woman into Cyborg. Shazam fired another lightning bolt which Darkseid barreled through and punched him through a building. Darkseid then charged at Lantern when everyone heard a loud and powerful crack of thunder. A red and white trail of lightning came at them from the east incredibly fast and within a second it managed to enter the city and make it up the ramp Lantern made.
Impulse raced up the ramp and channeled his speed force armor into his fists. When he reached the end of the ramp he jumped at Darkseid with his speed force armor punch aimed right at his left eye. Even though he was moving incredibly fast Darkseid managed to catch his fist and the impact created a huge shockwave and shattered windows for a mile around and even caused some nearby buildings to shake.
"Foolish human!" Darkseid growled in anger when Cyborg and Shazam blasted him in the back. The momentary distraction was enough as Darkseid lessened his grip so Impulse could run up Darkseid's body to his head.
"Eat this!" He punched Darkseid in the eye with a speed force armor infused speed punch and the impact shattered the remaining eye but sent him into a fury. Naruto was knocked off but Lantern made a bed construct to save him while Shazam blasted him with a powerful lightning bolt which sent Darkseid through a building and into the ground.
"Did it work?" Lantern asked.
"Yeah, I think it worked." Shazam remarked. That's when they heard a loud rumble and saw Darkseid climb out of the wreckage and rubble.
Even with both eyes blown out, he got back to his feet and his facial expression only indicated anger. And with no eyes he jumped right in the direction of Impulse and Green Lantern and would have hit them had Wonder Woman not flown in and stopped him. Flash and Shazam rushed over to help her as Darkseid moved around and attacked with pure anger.
"Guy's got both eyeballs blown out and he's still standing. Did we do anything?" Lantern asked.
"Yeah, we just pissed him off." Impulse added as Lantern hovered down so they were both on the ground. "Forget trying to take this guy out. We need to send him back. Cyborg, any luck on that plan yet?"
"Still working on it." Cyborg replied, blasting another Parademon.
"Well, work on it faster. We'll buy you some time." Lantern and Impulse attacked some Parademons and Darkseid while Cyborg worked on analyzing and understanding the Mother Box his robot body had assimilated when he first underwent his transformation. His system took awhile to break into and understand the Mother Box's system and technology but the information Gideon managed to extrapolate helped speed things up. After he managed to connect, he created various Boom Tubes around the planet that the Parademons had used to invade but now they were being sucked back to Apokolips. One problem dealt with, one remaining.
Darkseid was using all four limbs like a dog and chasing after Flash, surprisingly almost keeping pace with him when Shazam blasted him with lightning and knocked him back. Darkseid then punched Shazam away when the Omega symbol on his belt glowed and a Boom Tube opened up behind him, sucking in the remaining Parademons and dragging him in as well but he fought the portal's pull.
"Get him in there!" Wonder Woman shouted.
Shazam got back to his feet and charged his fists with lightning before flying at Darkseid and landing a twin punch to the back of his neck. It send lightning all throughout his body and despite the immense pain Darkseid grabbed Shazam and slammed him into the ground before using his knee to crush him.
"I'll crush you like an ant!" Darkseid reared his arm back to punch Shazam into the ground when Wonder Woman's Lasso wrapped around it. She and Flash grabbed it and fought against his pull to save Shazam a beating. "How dare you?! I am Darkseid!"
That's when a red and blue blur rushed out from the Boom Tube and slammed into Darkseid, knocking him back. Everyone was able to see it was Superman who used a Parademon's armor to slip through the portal just like Batman who walked through after him.
"I don't care!" Superman flew at him and landed a super speed and super strength punch to his forehead.
"Kick his ass!" Lantern shouted as Superman uppercut him in the jaw before Darkseid grabbed both hands. Superman pushed back and forced the tyrant to his knees before kneeing him in the face, grabbing his face and using his heat vision to burn through both eyes. He then hurled Darkseid closer to the portal as Flash and Impulse raced around him and landed a few speed punches before Shazam blasted him with lightning. Lantern then blasted him with his ring to help as Flash and Impulse appeared behind him and threw out hundreds of speed punches to his back, making Darkseid scream in pain. Impulse then channeled his speed force armor one more time and race in front of Darkseid where he jumped and landed an uppercut that knocked him back just as Superman and Wonder Woman flew at him together and punched him in the throat.
That edged him near the Boom Tube as Darkseid grabbed the portal to keep himself from being pulled in as Superman and Wonder Woman punched him together in tandem. They slowly pushed him further and further into the portal as Cyborg attempted to close the Boom Tubes but didn't have enough power. That allowed Darkseid to push through and punch Wonder Woman, Superman, and Shazam back and escape the portal. Batman hit him in the throat with an explosive Batarang before removing his utility belt. He leapt onto Darkseid, attached the belt to his chest and pressed a button which activated the belt's boosters and pushed Darkseid back into the portal before he jumped away. While it forced him back, the boosters soon died out and Darkseid crawled back out of the portal. Superman punched him in the face, Wonder Woman slashed him with her sword, Flash raced by and Green Lantern blasted him but Darkseid knocked them all back.
Impulse then fired his two repulsors at Darkseid's face which caused him to stumble back before he charged and landed another speed force armor punch to his chest which knocked him back but Darkseid put him in a bear hug and held on tight. "ARGH!"
"If I'm going then I will break your bones!" Darkseid warned him.
"Not gonna happen!" Superman flew by and punched Darkseid in the face, saving Impulse and knocking him into the portal. Flash spun his arms and created wind funnels, Wonder Woman threw her sword, Green Lantern fired an energy blast, Batman threw his remaining Batarangs, Superman used his heat vision and Impulse threw out a lightning bolt which hit Darkseid together and actually pushed him back into the Boom Tube.
"SHAZAM!" They heard as a giant lightning bolt struck Shazam and Cyborg, giving the latter enough energy to close the Boom Tubes. Superman punched Darkseid one last time before the portal closed and he was back on Apokolips.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as Naruto fell to his knees and took a few pained breaths. Batman walked over and held out his hand which he took and helped him back to his feet. "Are you all right?"
"Yeah, back should heal up soon enough." Naruto assured him when they saw all the towers Darkseid's army had created crumble into pieces. Cyborg then landed down next to them as they admired their hard fought victory.
"Nice job, kid. Where'd Shazam go?" Lantern asked.
"He took off. Said he had a hot date." Cyborg replied.
"Right. Who'd go out with that immature hothead?" Lantern joked.
"What about the human victims?" Batman asked.
"I can see them. Let me just get this baby to boom for me one more time." Cyborg's forehead glowed and multiple portals opened up which dropped out the humans that were captured. Green Lantern caught them and brought them to the city.
"He's good for clean up at least." Batman remarked. "How do we keep Darkseid from returning?"
"All those Mother Boxes are fried." Cyborg informed him.
"Then they won't be able to get back anytime soon." Wonder Woman stated.
"It's a start." Batman remarked.
"Heads up." Superman informed them as people began to walk over to them.
"We should leave before they blame us again." Flash suggested but instead of boos and insults they all got cheers and overlapping chatter of thanks.
"What's your hurry, Flash?" Impulse asked him.
A few days later…
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg were called to Washington DC where the President was thanking them for their efforts in stopping the alien invasion around the world. The capital was filled with press and it was kind of nice that the heroes who were once booed at were getting thanked. He called them a team of heroes and while they were happy with the thanks they weren't exactly a team. But Batman did point out that having the team stick together for publicity was a good idea to keep interesting parties off their backs and in the event something like this happened again. That's when Shazam noticed they were one short.
"Hey, where's Impulse? Why isn't he here?" he asked.
"He had to head back home. Left just before we got here." Flash told them.
"He should be here. He helped us fight against Darkseid and his army. He deserves to bask in the celebration." Wonder Woman pointed out.
"I told him that but he said sticking around might be dangerous." Flash explained.
"He has a point. This isn't his earth and if he stuck around then people would start to ask questions. And it would get complicated if he encountered his doppelganger." Batman commented.
"Well, the kid did all right by me. He even gave you a run for your money, Flash." Lantern joked earning a sneer from the Scarlet Speedster.
"I would have liked to say thanks at the very least." Superman pointed out.
"He said it wasn't necessary but he did leave us with a parting gift. Some pretty interesting designs and upgrades for all of us. He said he was a super genius on his earth and I think he might be right." Cyborg explained. "Even gave us a suggestion on what the team should be called. The Justice League."
"Justice League? Sounds like a softball team. I hate it." Lantern remarked.
"Then I like it. Besides, it has a nice ring to it." Flash said as they continued to listen to the President's speech while Naruto had already left and was working his way through the multiverse to head home.

Earth-A29
On this animated earth, everything seemed to revolve around the Warner Bros's studio lot and in particular the Warner Bros water tower when a trio of rabbit-like animated siblings jumped out as music began to play.
"It's time for Animaniacs and we're zany to the max. So just sit back and relax. You'll laugh till you collapse. We're Animaniacs."
As they were singing, they began running around getting into mischief with the trio tying a doctor down to a chair and tickling him while he was watching television before he crashed through the floor.
"Come join the Warner Brothers and the Warner sister Dot. Just for fun, we run around the Warner movie lot. They lock us in the tower whenever we get caught. But we break loose and then vamoose and now you know the plot."
They raced around the lot getting into shenanigans with a security officer chasing after them. Even though they were caught and put back in the tower they escaped and continued their fun escapades.
"We're Animaniacs. Dot is cute and Yakko Yaks. Wakko packs away the snacks we pay tons of income Tax. We're Animaniacs."
The three siblings introduced themselves along with other animated animals and companions.
"Meet Pinky and the Brain who want to rule the universe. Goodfeathers flock together, Slappy whacks them with her purse. Buttons chases Mindy, while Rita sings a verse. The writers flipped, we have no script, why bother to rehearse?"
"We're Animaniancs we have pay-or-play contracts. We're zany to the Max, there's baloney in our slacks! We're Animanie, Totally insane-y, Here's the show's name-y Animaniacs! Those are the facts!"
The song ended with the three siblings back in the Warner Brother's lot when a portal opened out and an animated Naruto jumped out in his regular clothing. "Whoa. Why does this all look familiar to me?"
"Hello, handsome!" Dot jumped up and landed in Naruto's arms before giving him a big kiss on the cheek. "Come here often stud muffin or do you just appear in portals before girls you like?"
"Uh…it's not exactly a normal thing, no. How are you talking?" Naruto wondered, thinking it was weird that these rabbits were talking but then again this was animation.
"Oh, we can talk. We talk all the time. In fact, it's the best way to talk." Yakko told him.
Wakko walked up behind Naruto and opened up his bag where he found one of his high calorie energy bars so he opened it up and was about to eat it when Naruto took it back.
"Whoa, you don't want to eat that. It's not for everyone." Naruto said, putting it back in his pack when Yakko jumped out and landed on his head.
"I know you're not from around here but where are you from? How about I list off every where in the world and you stop me when I get close." Yakko reached up and seemed to pull down a blue landscape with the countries of the world on it before a graduation cap appeared on his head.
"And now the nations of the world presented you by Yakko Warner!" An announcer introduced as Yakko pulled out a yardstick and music began to play.
"United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamaca, Peru. Republic Dominica, Cuba, Caribbean, Greenland, El Salvador too." He listed off in a song as Wakko and Dot danced along.
"Ok, this is both funny yet weird. I'm out of here." Naruto ran away and opened up another breach just as Yakko got to the European countries.
Earth-A47
Naruto arrived on another earth that was animated but this one was a little different. He appeared in the alleyway and when he walked out onto the street he recognized where he was by the town square and the giant mascot holding up a donut. "Springfield and the Simpsons? Whoever created the multiverse must have liked TV."
He was even animated like a Simpson character yellow skin, and all so he blended in which was kind of weird and he wasn't sure if it could be considered offensive since he was Japanese American. That's when he saw Bart go by on his skateboard, Ned Flanders talking to and mentally draining Reverend Lovejoy, Barney Gumble drinking in Moe's Tavern with Mr. Burns walking down the street next to Waylon Smithers. He saw Marge Simpson buying some stuff in Apu's Kwik-E-Mart with Lisa holding Maggie and Homer standing next to them eating a donut.
"Well, since I'm here. Might as well try a donut." Naruto said to himself.
About fifteen minutes later, Naruto walked away from Lard Lad donuts with 6 dozen donuts. After stopping at the Kwik-E-Mart to get some milk he sat down at a bench and enjoyed his donuts along with taking a little break. And he had to admit that these donuts may be animated but were delicious.
"DOH!" He heard and saw Homer do his signature catchphrase, most likely in response to something Marge said.
"Awesome…" Naruto muttered, eating another donut. After finishing his donuts and going to the bathroom he made another attempt at going home.
Earth-A48
Naruto appeared in the middle of a suburban street which was also animated and looked very familiar. That's when he saw a yellow and green house next across the street from a purple one and a street sign that said Spooner Street. "Family Guy? Awesome. Ooh, did I arrive for a musical number?" He wondered when heard shouting coming from the Griffin home and Stewie jumped out only this Stewie looked different. He had an evil look on his face and his clothing colors were reversed.
Stewie raced out into the middle of a street where a woman in a car stopped just in time to avoid hitting him. "Oh my god, a baby! Are you ok?" She got out to check on him when Stewie took out a machete and sliced her in half from head to toe. He was covered in blood and the body was on full display with bones, organs, and blood with the smell surprisingly realistic. Stewie then got into her car and drove away.
"Oh, my god! Oh my god that's horrible! Oh, it smells so real! I'm gonna be sick!" Naruto bent over and barfed in traditional Family Guy style. "Oh my god! Oh my god!"
Naruto puked up one more time and took a few moments to himself before he wiped his mouth. "Oh, that is something you don't expect with these cartoons. Dear god. Why couldn't I have arrived during a more funny time on the show like when Peter has the fight with the giant chicken?"
Everything around him changed and the quality dipped to the animated quality in 1999. Peter was at the checkout counter with a cashier bringing up his items. "Oh yeah and this nice chicken outside gave me this coupon."
He handed it to her so she could look it over. "I'm sorry, this is expired."
"You son of a bitch!" Peter turned around and jumped through the store window to tackle the chicken. The two got in a serious fight that soon moved to a highway over pass, a moving truck, a helicopter, and an office building before it ended with both Peter and Chicken taking a fall to the ground and the chicken landing first to soften Peter's blow. Peter walked home the victor unaware that the chicken was still alive and a long standing feud was now started.
Then things went back to normal and Naruto was back on the street again. "Did I just set up a Family Guy cutaway? Cool."
With that Naruto left the world for another one.
Earth-R17
The new animated earth Naruto arrived on was different than the other ones. It was still animated like the others but while those were fairly modern animations, this one was 1920s black and white Disney era Steamboat Willie animation.
Naruto arrived on a black screen before words appeared and he was on what looked like the intro to the cartoon. It read; Disney Cartoons present a Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon Steamboat Willie.
Ok, this is weird.
That's when he noticed that no actual words came out of his mouth as they appeared on a black screen as white lettering. He vaguely remembered that these old cartoons didn't really have character audio and instead the only audio came from the surroundings, animals and from music.
He then appeared on the titular steamboat and saw Mickey steering while whistling a happy tune. He pulled a rope and the horns on top went off in cartoonish fashion, coming alive for a moment. That's when a giant man pulled Mickey away from the steering wheel and the two seemed to get into a heated discussion before the boat was piloted to a dock and Mickey loaded a cow that was too skinny so he fed it hay to instantly fatten it up. That's when Minnie arrive but missed the boat as it pulled away so she ran alongside it. Mickey wasn't sure what to do until he moved the hook over to her and pulled her over onto the boat.
The drama continued as the goat on the boat ate Minnie's sheet music and violin. Mickey solved it by opening the goat's mouth and cranking the tail which turned the animal into a jukebox that began playing ragtime. Mickey began playing along with the goat jukebox and it was kind of charming and funny.
Naruto smiled as he crossed his arms and began dancing along and said some words but his mouth just opened with no words coming out.
Ok, maybe this isn't so bad.
Seeing his words appear on scree turns his smile into a frown as this was starting to get old.
Never mind.
Wanting to get back to a more modern time, he opened up another breach and left while Mickey and Minnie continued to have fun on the Steamboat.

While his next earth was more modern, it wasn't exactly what he was hoping for as the animation was 1970s and not that polished but an old retro charm to it. Sort of like a Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Music began to play as various characters appeared on screen above the words Super Friends.
"Gathered together from the cosmic reaches of the Universe! Here in this great hall of Justice are the most powerful forces of good ever assembled! Superman! Batman and Robin! Wonder Woman! Aquaman! And the Wonder Twins: Zan and Jayna with their Space Monkey Gleek! Dedicated to Truth, Justice, and Peace for all Mankind!"
The characters appeared above the title screen for the Super Friends when Naruto suddenly appeared to their confusion. "And…apparently a new super friend to aid in their super endeavors!" The announcer stumbled but quickly bounced back.
"Ok, I said I was done with retro." Naruto raced away in old school Hanna-Barbera cartoon fashion before opening up a breach.
"Uh…never mind!" The announcer fixed himself.
Earth-H01
The new earth Naruto arrived on was probably the most modern animation like the first one he saw but more cartoon like which was fine. When he appeared, it was in the middle of a street in a war torn Gotham that looked like it went through hell. He walked in front of an electronics store display TV to see his reflection and his animated self was kind of cool so he took some selfies when the TVs began to play a message on the Emergency Broadcast system.
The President appeared from the Oval office with a message. "My fellow Americans, it's been decades since Gotham City once exemplified American prosperity. But one week ago, it hit the point of no return when the Joker seize control and instituted Martial Law. Last night his base of operations, the Joker Tower came crashing to the ground, triggering an 8.6 earthquake that leveled the city. Sadly, Gotham is beyond saving. So, it is with a heavy heart that I hereby declare that Gotham City is no longer part of the United States. It is civitas non grata. God bless the United States of America, and God help Gotham City."
After that earthshaking proclamation he took a walk down the street and saw it was literally hell. The city was destroyed, cars were burning in the streets and he saw a dog and wolf fighting over a human arm. "Dear lord. What kind of animated cartoon is this?" He asked himself when he saw a pair of Hyenas pulling a Joker card through the street and riding said Joker cart was Harley Quinn.
"Honk, Honk Motherfuckers!" She shouted as she used an air horn. Seeing as how she showed up in the middle of the street, he decided to follow her. He wasn't sure how but he had a feeling that she was behind all this. Harley arrived at her hideout which was in an abandoned mall now playing as part zoo as well.
"Home, sweet home! Good job my little baby drivers. I got a treat for ya." She tossed out a steak and the two Hyenas fought over it. "Now, Bud and Lou don't fight. There's one for each of ya. And for my big babies, I brought dinner."
She opened up her cart to show a sushi chef gagged and tied up in the trunk. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Those beasts get steak and we gotta eat this guy? Are living in a mall or a zoo?" Dr. Psycho asked.
"I like to think of it as both now." King Shark said, petting an Alpaca.
"No, we're not eating him. This is Takashi, a sushi chef. He's got a Michelin star!" Harley shoved him over to the others and King Shark grabbed him.
"I gotta admit, I was excited to eat a person, especially since I already had sushi, but I guess it's fine. Come here!" King Shark put him over his shoulder and brought him to the kitchen.
"Takashi, would it be gauche to ask for a spider roll, or are you strictly omakase?" Clayface wondered as Harley walked over to Poison Ivy.
"Ive, are you not jazzed about sushi?" Harley wondered.
"No, no. I mean, I like Takashi's hand rolls as much as the next gal, but don't you think it's time to kinda like wrap this party up? You know, it's been three weeks since you took down Joker. There's no Legion of Doom. No Batman. Gotham is yours for the taking." She suggested.
"I am having a blast! This is what I've always wanted, Ive. Anarchy and Sushi." Harley blew the air horn right in Harley's face.
"Yeah, I mean you definitely could've had better sushi when Gotham had refrigeration and free trade with the rest of America, but…"
"[Blech] Is this a bird?" Clayface asked, spitting out the impromptu bird sushi that Takashi had to make.
"Trust me. You're gonna be kicking yourself if you don't take charge." Ivy told her.
"Ive, the best part of living in an apocalyptic wasteland is no one's in charge! Whoo!" Harley blew the airhorn again.
"It's chaos, baby. It's like 'Nam after the US pulled out." Sy Borgman added.
"I don't think it's exactly but that it's similar to that." Harley pointed out when two goons wearing tux shirts walked in.
"Hey! You're on Penguin turf! Get the hell outta here!" One goon said.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Harley asked.
"Penguin called dibs on the mall."
"Uh, we've been chilling at the mall for, like ever! And dibs? There's no dibs. The city's in ruins, idiot. It's a post-dibs world. Nobody owns nothing. Except for me, I own this mall!" Harley shouted.
"So, you're just making this up as you go? Good to know." they heard as Naruto walked into the mall.
"Oh, great. What the fuck? Who the hell are you?" Harley asked.
"Geez, you've got a mouth on you." Naruto pointed out, getting his first look at the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy of this earth. Harley was pale skinned with her hair done up in pigtails, one pink and one blue. She had a chocker around her neck, sneakers, knee high socks, and was wearing a Harley Quinn inspired two piece top and bottom. Poison Ivy was dressed less like the seductive eco-terrorist he and Cisco had heard stories about and more like a regular green skinned woman wearing a green leather jacket and plant pants. "But you're a little in over your head."
"Hey, Jap head! We're already taking this place for Penguin so screw off before we…" One of the goons pushed Naruto with his crowbar which was a mistake as Naruto took it and bashed him across the face, causing blood to spurt out. The other gun raised his gun only for Naruto to grab his hand, twist it to break his wrist, grab the gun and then bash him in the head and knocked him out.
"Apologies for the outburst but I think he was going for offensive so I stopped him there." Naruto remarked, pausing for a second as he wasn't sure why that came out of his mouth. It was like this world was affecting how he was speaking and acting. "But I do have a point and you're a little in over your head if you think this anarchy is a good thing."
"Look, whoever you are handsome Japanese guy with the amazing spiky hair. I am not in over my head. This anarchy is amazing and there is nothing to be worried about." Harley told him when there was an explosion and in walked three of Two-Face's goons.
"Hey, you're on Two-Face's turf." The lead goon said only for Naruto to shoot them all in the leg.
Ivy and Naruto just gave her a look which she sneered at. "Don't you give me those looks but you do have a point. I'll sort this out." Harley left soon after to go talk to all the city's goons and henchmen.
"Now, I love someone proving Harley's point is wrong as much as the next person and I agree that the goon was likely going to say something offensive but who are you?" Ivy asked as she saw King Shark slowly creep up behind him.
"Someone passing by who wanted to see what was going on." Naruto remarked holding up the pistol and putting it directly under King Shark's jaw. "Try and eat my head and I'll put the entire clip in your skull before you can move."
"Oh, you're good." King Shark remarked, walking back to the others.
"And you're not very subtle." Naruto told him taking a high calorie energy bar from his bag and eating it. "But seriously, if I were you guys I'd try and talk some sense into Harley before things get worse."
"Trust me, I know." Ivy said in an exhausted tone. Naruto wasn't sure what it was, but Ivy's attitude kind of reminded him of a girl he dated in high school and he was not expecting this to be Poison Ivy. All he heard about Poison Ivy was how she was a seductive temptress who used her beauty and unique ability to aid in her endeavors. This one just seemed like the sarcastic, dry humor girl you meet in college, become friends with and secretly want to date. "So, really who are you? Up and coming villain, secret henchperson or just an idiot who walked into the lair of a couple of supervillains?"
"Let's go with wandering traveler who wanted to know what is going on and found Harley's little cart being pulled by two Hyenas interesting." Naruto replied. "But seriously, with the city in the state it's in how do you guys shower? Do you have running water? Or even clean water?"
"In order, still working but it's cold water, yes, and slowly fading away." Ivy remarked.
"You know, Ivy, if I can call you Ivy, with Gotham the way it is nothing's really stopping you from using your powers to sort of rebuild the city and fix all the ecological damage that's been done to it. I mean, that is a huge part of who you are yet you're content to stay here." Naruto pointed out.
"It's…on my to-do list." Ivy stumbled with her answer.
"Yeah, right. Well enjoy your bird sushi. I think I've had enough of anarchy town. Tell Harley I said good luck and best of wishes to all of you." Naruto bowed before walking out of the mall.
"A rather well-mannered young man. No one has the manners to bow these days." Clayface stated.
"Seemed to me like a know it all." Dr. Psycho remarked.
When Naruto walked out of the mall, he cracked his neck before he began super speeding through the entire city and grabbing every single henchperson, goon, or asshole and tying them up so they couldn't run rampant. After that he began clearing rubble and wreckage, fixing buildings, and fixing the city bit by bit at super speed. Granted he couldn't restore the entire city back to what it was before the earthquake but he was able to make it ten times better then what it's been. The streets were cleared, destroyed buildings were cleared and the thousands of idiot henchmen and goons were tied up. A part of him wanted to do more but he had to keep moving to get home. Whatever happened to his earth he just hoped that Batman and the League would be able to help.
Little did he know that Batman was missing and the League was gone. Harley Quinn would end up being the person who helped Gotham but in her own zany and manic way. It'd make for a funny cartoon.
Anyway, back to trying to find a way back home. Naruto's had enough of animated worlds so here's hoping the next one is back to live action.

Hoped you guys liked the chapter. It was a short one and I know that there were dozens of other animated worlds Naruto could have visited. I'm sorry that we couldn't go to those but if he went to every single one in the reviews and suggestions then the chapter would be huge. This one is just meant to be short so I can get to work on the next one. But there were some fun moments and Naruto's got his inspiration for the Justice League when he returns.
Next chapter, Naruto goes back to the world of live action and visits two worlds. Both worlds are similar to his in the sense that they have heroes but one is where heroes are treated like celebrities with movie deals, interviews and corporate sponsorship and the other is like a cinematic universe all its own.
