Chapter eleven

Evan received three letters, after he reading the letter three times he decided to called a meeting with the ones that knew the truth about who he really was. Sirius, Andromeda and Ted.

'What's up boss,' Sirius grinned making Evan chuckle.

'Nothing serious, Sirius,' the four adults laughed, 'And nothing will affect us, not really. I got a letter from Arthur Weasley, he wants to know if his four sons could enrol in our school. He also wants to know if his daughter can enrol next year.'

'We knew we would hear from them sooner or later. Are you going to tell them they will need to sit an aptitude test?' Andromeda asked.

'I am, but I would like you to…tweak it a bit. I will accept the twins, even Percy, but I will never allow Ron or Ginny into this school. I want their tests to show more about what they are really like and why we will be rejecting them. The twins were brilliant yet they hid their talents, especially in potions and charms. They did that so their mother could not force them to work at the ministry, which is something the twins never wanted. But I know most of their products were potion and charmed based. They had good idea's for defence products as well. Percy is very smart, he just has a bad habit of being one of the sheep. Apart from being brainwashed by Fudge and Umbitch, he never really did anything to me, he just believed what they told him about me. He can take the standard test along with the twins.'

'I will work on it. You explained how lazy Ronald Weasley was but also how much of a bully he was, so he will not pass. Ginny on the other hand did well in her classes, but her attitude is something we do not want here. I will make sure to add questions regarding blood status, but also add subtle questions about using things like love potions or manipulation. The parchment will stop any of them lying, so we'll get the truth.'

'If they don't get in, do you think Arthur and Molly will allow the other three to come here?' Ted asked.

'Percy and the twins will keep on their parent's, Percy more as he wants to work for the ministry. His ambition was to eventually become minister. The twins could learn enough being home schooled if it was necessary. But they did like to pay students to test their products, the other students also gave them idea's for joke products. They always tested the products on themselves first to make sure they wouldn't harm anyone. They just liked to know if it affected everyone the same. I would watch them often and none of there products were harmful or caused any type of bullying, they were just fun. When they come in, I might talk to them, but I will be careful. I believe they could do a lot more if they stayed in their education longer. I also believe that when they hear we have a reward program which earns students money, they will jump at the chance to come here. I gave them the money to start their business, that won't happen now and their parent's can't really afford to help them out. Naturally if Percy and the twins come here the fee's will be half of what they paid to go to Hogwarts. That will be a big incentive for Arthur and Molly.'

'I think they will come mate, just remind Percy that all his school supplies that he needs to buy have to be bought in Gach Run alley. He may still want to support the English ministry but he will be spending his money in the Irish shops,' Sirius said.

'I'll remind him, so I'll reply, then wait until they take their tests to find out if it will be three Weasley's, or none. Oh I did accept Cedric Diggory, Katie Bell, Alicia Spinnet and Angelina Johnson. But the one I know will get the twins here is Lee Jordon. His father wrote to me a few days back. Once the twins know their friend is coming here, they will badger their parent's to allow them to come. Next year I'm hoping Luna's parent's will send me a letter. She was bullied at Hogwarts, but she was also very lonely. So even though the English ministry has given parent's permission to teach their children magic at home during school hours, Luna would still end up alone. She became a good friend, someone I could always trust, even with my life. I always believed that we could have been more if it wasn't for everything that was going on, not to mention the love potions the Weasley's kept giving me.'

'Then we will make sure Luna comes and Harry notices her, at least he will in a few years. I'm sure I can work on a visit so her parents will believe I am just inquiring about their daughter's future education. But speaking on love,' Andromeda raised her eyebrows at Evan.

'I've gone on a few dates, but there has been no spark yet,' Evan looked down at his desk, 'To tell you the truth, I had a big of a crush on someone when I was fifteen, she was older than I was so I never really looked at that as anything that could happen. Now though, I'm older than her so I'm not sure it would be right. In my old time line she did end up with someone that was only two years older than I am now and it worked out, I'm just not sure it's right.'

'Dora has always been more mature than the girls her age,' Ted grinned, 'She came to us not long after leaving school, she explained how she felt about you but she wasn't going to say anything until she left school and was working. She didn't want to ruin any chance she might have if she had approached you before she was officially and legally an adult. She was also her headmaster.'

'It seems the Black's and Potters get together, eventually, just like your grandparent's did,' Sirius said.

'So if I approached Dora, you wouldn't mind?'

'No, we wouldn't. You are a wonderful and caring man Evan. We've known you now for a lot of years so we do know you. Dora could not pick a better man, in our opinion. Since things changed and Remus Lupin stayed loyal to Albus, we lost the chance to have Teddy. But now with you, there could still be a grandchild in the future. That will be your decision and Dora's. Now we'll leave you to your work and I will go and…tweak the aptitude test for two red heads.'

Evan and Sirius waited until the Tonks' left before they looked at each other, 'So when are you going to see her?'

'I'll send her a letter to see if she can meet me for lunch on her day off. I'm glad she decided to join the Irish auror's instead of the English ones. She will learn more skills here than with them.'

'Yes, after you explained about martial arts, it surprised me that the Irish aurors and hit wizards were already using it. It's a lot of discipline, but I enjoy it even if it's only to learn a bit of self defence in case I did lose my wand. You seemed to be a natural at it.'

'I really enjoy martial arts, apart from the different skills you learn it also keeps me fit. I did try to get into a routine of running, but building and running this school takes so much time. Going to two classes a week in martial arts works out perfectly, it also teaches me what I need if I get into a fight and lose my wand, or a wand can't be used for whatever reason. I'm glad I decided to introduce it here at the school.'

'I'm glad you introduced it as well, but you introduced so much Evan. I wish Hogwarts had been like this school when I was there. I know your mum would have loved being here. She would have gone on to do her masters if it wasn't for the way the government and the pure-bloods treated muggleborns.'

'From what the diary's told me that Severus left, she would have done her charms degree. Even though she did want a family, I know they were young, it would have been better to work for a few years before they settled into family life. It's like the English pure-bloods want to keep their wives at home. Some of the brightest people I knew at Hogwarts were the girls.'

'Lily showed us blokes we need to step up, Remus did. James and I did what we needed but no more. We learned more after we finished Hogwarts.'

'I believe everyone does. You become an adult and you actually enjoy learning more than you do as a student at school. It allows you to learn what you want but also what you need without pushing yourself too hard. With Hogwarts though, there was just so much you had to do and not a lot of time to do it. Then you had curfew at nine, so they had to return to their house rooms. Our students are still studying in the library at ten. I know we set a time for them to head to bed, but I do get that some students sleep better once they have finished their assignments. Also, students from different houses at Hogwarts that were friends or in relationships like to study together. Ours do and they all help each other.'

'All true, nine was way to early when you needed to read those huge books. You couldn't carry five or six of those back to the tower. I'm glad the first years learn the levitating charm and the feather light charm straight away. It does help with their bags and heavy books. I never realised that curfew was early just so the teachers could have their own time. They knew what they were getting into but wanted away from the students. Anyway, I best leave you to it and get back to work myself.'

Sirius got up and headed for the door then turned back, 'James and Lily would be so proud of you, Prongslet.'

Harry/Evan smiled, 'I hope they are, but thanks Padfoot, it's nice to hear that from someone that was close to them.'

Evan waited until Sirius left before writing his letter to Dora. Hearing Ted say he approved made Evan feel a little more confident that Dora would like to go out with him. Now he just had to meet her then ask her. He did wonder what young Harry would say if they did end up dating. Young Harry knew Evan had gone out at times, but he did not know Evan was having a date. Evan didn't want Harry to feel like he had to like any of the woman Evan dated, or feel pressured. So Evan had made a conscious decision to keep his dating from Harry, until he felt that there would be more than one day. He may have ended up in bed with some of the woman he did date, but he knew there wouldn't be more than that. He hoped he and Dora could have a lasting relationship. It would help with Harry as well since he already liked Dora. Time would tell.
