Chapter fourteen
The three Weasley boys officially enrolled in the Irish educational institute. Arthur had taken them shopping and escorted them through the floo to the school. The boys all said they planned to stay for the full year and only go home during the normal Christmas and Easter holidays. They said it was so they could catch up on classes but also get ready to begin other classes that were never offered at Hogwarts
Evan hadn't been surprised to hear that. The twins wanted to get away from their mother, but also to get working on their joke products. Evan was hoping that if the twins earned enough money, they would open their shop in Gach Run alley, instead of Diagon alley. Evan and Sirius plan to ask them subtle questions beginning from the following year. If it looks like they will eventually decide on Gach Run alley, then they will work it for the boys to ear extra money, which will go to their shop. Percy believed he could study better if he remained at the school, he could continued to use the library. That was something he couldn't do if than went home every second weekend and this library was larger than Hogwarts. Evan still had hope that the pompous red head would see how the Irish ministry were actually helping people and not trying to hold them back. Evan believed right now that Percy was still one of the sheep, but after a few more years at Evan's school, he just might wake up and see just how much things are changing in the magical world. If he didn't change, then he might not have the life he had hoped for. But Evan had a feeling Percy will eventually begin to think for himself and he will end up at the Irish Ministry instead of the English Ministry.
Evan was happy for Sirius and Marlene when their child was born. He could see the couple having at least another two children, maybe more. It really made Evan want what Sirius had. He loved young Harry as if he was his son, but he would like more children. He did end up shocked when they said they wanted him as their son's godfather. Evan had actually choked up. He got to love Teddy before he returned to the past and that was his only regret, especially now that Remus never joined them so he never got friendly with Dora, so there was no Teddy and never will be.
After his first date with Dora and how well they got on, they were now officially a couple. Evan did wonder if they would end up having children and if they did would they end up with a little boy, like Teddy.
Dora loves being an auror, but she confessed to Evan that if they ended up married and having children she would retire from the aurors. She also confessed to only becoming an auror because of her metamorphmagus ability which would help if she needed to spy. Working for the Irish ministry was better, a lot better than the English ministry, but she realised it wasn't the life she wanted. She told Evan if they did get married and had children then after their children had grown, then she thought she may like to take up teaching.
Young Harry was actually happy that his dad was dating Dora. Even though Harry treated the Tonks's like family, they weren't. But Harry always got on well with Dora and now she may end up his mother. Dora was a metamorphmagus who had helped Harry develop his gift and they also had fun when Dora took him through his lessons. Evan could see Harry and Dora having a great relationship, he just wasn't sure if they would end up like mother and son, or big sister and little brother. Evan didn't mind either way, as he just wanted to have a family of his own and he wanted young Harry to be surrounded in people he could call family.
Andromeda did pay a visit to Xenophilius and Pandora Lovegood. She also got to speak with Luna. By the time Andromeda left the Lovegood's home, she knew Luna would be attending the Irish school.
During Harry's second year, he did become friendly with Luna Lovegood. Evan had been able to prevent her mother dying, so Luna wasn't as strange as she had been in Evan's other life. Luna and Harry became close friends and luna fit in well with Harry's other friends.
At the end of Harry's second year at the Irish educational institute, Evan and Dora told him they were getting married during the holidays. Harry was ecstatic. He would also be one of his dad's groomsmen. He had told his dad that he liked Luna and was hoping she'd be his girlfriend when school restarted. So Evan decided to invite the Lovegood's to the wedding.
Evan waited for his fiancee to join him in his private chambers. When she entered, he couldn't help smile.
'You make me feel so love with just a look,' Dora smiled before she kissed Evan.
'You are loved.'
After a few minutes of kissing, Dora turned to face her fiancee, 'You said you needed to talk to me about something serious.'
'Yes, I do. Right now what I am about to tell you is known by only a few others, like your parent's and Sirius. This information can never be talked about or be known by others. I believed if we are going to be married then you should know as well.'
'Has this got anything to do with those hushed conversations you had with mum and dad before the school was opened?'
Evan smiled, 'Yes, and even though we would have liked to tell you, it was just too important and dangerous to explain while you were young. There were certain people that would use any means to stop us, even use you if it came to that.'
'Mum and dad always said be careful who I trust and what I say as it could lead to innocent lives being put in danger. Is what you're going to tell me connected to that?'
'Yes, and why your parent's pushed you to be cautious.'
'Okay, well, I think you know I would never talk to anyone about anything that you want kept private. So how about you just explain what this is all about.'
'Alright, first know that I'm still me and I hope this information doesn't make you change your mind about me. First let me tell you that my looks are altered, not a lot, just enough so people would not work out who I really am.'
'Does that mean you aren't really a Potter?'
'Oh, I am, I was born a Potter,' Evan sighed, then removed his contacts and allowed his scar to be seen, 'I am really Harry James Potter. I returned to the past to prevent hundreds of people losing their lives just because Albus Dumbledore and a few others had plans for this world and plans which involved me. Some of those deaths included you and your father,' Evan kept his eyes on his fiancee's face as he told her everything, from the diary Snape had left him, how he contacted Andromeda, to rescuing little Harry from people who would have abused him. One thing Evan felt relieved about even before Dora spoke, not once did she look angry or upset with him. He knew Dora had come to love Harry and she would never allow any child to go through what Harry did. Evan explained a lot of what his life had been like as a child, but it would take a long time for him to tell her everything. He didn't want to go into this marriage to Dora without her knowing the truth. So even if she didn't know everything just yet, she knew the most important and Dora also knew Evan would leave nothing out.
After a very long and emotional talk, they ended up cuddled up in bed, where Dora kept her arms tight around Evan. Evan felt very loved and very safe, so he held the woman he loved just as tight as she held him. When he had a crush on Tonks, he never though they would end up together. He didn't even believe that when he returned to the past. He knew right now that he would have the family he desired and young Harry would have a mother along with brothers and sisters.
What started out as a small wedding ended up larger than Evan thought possible. He had made some great friends and he had a great family, now his son Harry had many friends who Evan liked, so those children along with their families were invited to the wedding. Naturally Evan invited the Irish minister for magic and a few other ministry officials. They had helped Evan get his school started and supported the school and Evan in every way. This was his way of showing his appreciation. Evan also invited Luna's father to print the wedding pictures. He may not be Harry Potter in this reality, but he was known as Harry Potter's guardian and people wanted to know more about the boy. Evan figured if they released a few official photo's, one that included a picture of Evan and Harry, he hoped it would satisfy the general public and the fans of the-boy-who-lived. Even though Harry was isolated from the general public, he was surrounded by people that liked him as Harry, not the-boy-who-lived. When he was older, he would be able to go out and know how to handle people who wanted to know or use him for his fame.
Rita skeeter had tried once to use her beetle form to get into the school to see Harry. That was one of the wards that Evan put around the school. Only the registered animagus could enter the school and not end up reverting back to their human form or be left unconscious. Evan made sure Rita knew just how powerful he was but also how much influence he had with the ICW. He explained how Rita would end up in Azkaban or being sued if she ever wrote lies about Harry or any of them that Evan considered family. Evan could release a bit of his power just so anyone near him could feel just how powerful he was. That seemed to scare Rita more than anything. From then on, they never heard from Rita, nor did she ever publish any story about Harry Potter, Evan potter or anyone associated with the Irish Educational Institute.
The wedding was beautiful and the reception went long into the next morning, but everyone had a wonderful time. Harry was staying with Sirius while Evan and Dora went away for two weeks for their honeymoon. Even though Evan loved Sirius, he knew his godfather was going to teach Harry some pranks and he wouldn't be surprised when Harry used those pranks on Evan and Dora. He already planned to check their quarters the moment they returned. Neither Evan or Dora wanted to end up sprouting tentacles or anything else Sirius and Harry could come up with. Neither of them minded if they got pranks, Evan just couldn't help allowing Harry to have fun, anyway he could get it. They just didn't want to be strange where they wouldn't be able to leave their quarters for days just because of a prank.
