Flashback

Chapter 1

A young man about the age of 17 is on one knee as he panted hard with one hand on a large sword. The young man is about 170 cm tall. He has long spiky blonde hair that goes to the middle of his back. His irises are blue and he has three whisker like scars on both cheeks. He has on a red shirt and black pants. On the back of his waist is a kunai pouch. On his head is a bandanna with a metal plate on the front. Etched into the plate is a spiral with a arrow attach to the spiral. His hand rested on a red cloth wrapped hilt. The guard is a gold color and attached to the end is a long silver blade that is embedded into the ground. He looked ahead of him at the man he was doing battle with and took a deep breath forcing himself to stand. "Die! Naruto!" A figure ran at him and prepared himself once more.

Blue eyes opened slowly, greeted by the familiar sight sight of a multi-colored sky. His eyes closed and lazy thought glided through his mind. He must have failed with his technique again. With a long sigh he opened his eyes and forced himself to move. Water hit his face and sobered up from his exhaustion. He didn't panic, after all he had trained years to handle all situation with a calm mind. With a breath, he scanned around.

He was in water, not just water but an ocean. He hummed, 'I-I don't remember being near water.' He turned, righting himself before swaying his legs and arms. He looked around, seeing a vast expanse of water and luckily an island to the north, or where he thought north would be. 'Land.' While Naruto was cautious, he knew there was not much choice. With a breath, Naruto executed a technique he learnt years ago. Gathering the mystical energy known as chakra, his hands and feet slowly filled with heat. It took longer than it should have. He made a note of it before climbing out the water and stood on top of it.

His body was sore but not too bad. He began to walk and surveyed the cost line. It was devoid of life and movement, save for marine life like crabs. But it had things like nets and a port. So, there were at least human traffic on this island.

He stepped on sand and look up. The island looked large, larger than he thought at first glance. From what he could see structures in the distance, seeming closer to being ruins. It was surrounded by green; the whole island was mostly. There were cliffs and high rises in the distance but there looked to be a path leading deeper into the island. He hoped he did not have to search this entire island for people. Maybe they were hostile. He should be silent and sneak around. "HELLOOO ANYONE AROUND!"

Naruto waited a moment, listening intently for any sound. Only thing he heard was the sound of waves and rustling leaves in the distance. "Ok so nobody around most likely." He looked at back at what he could tell was nets that could be used for some type of game. Balls were around them. Looking to his right he could ever seen a hut near the port. Odd that no one was around here though.

Suddenly a dangerous wind passed him and the hairs on the back of his neck stood straight. Quickly he drew his sword which was longer than most, from the black coil and ruby jewel they magically kept it to his back. He prepared himself as the sounds of growls and rushing off footsteps caught his ears. His eyes caught a glimpse of brown and with quick movement he protected his neck from both teeth and claws. 'A wolf.' He thought quickly throwing the animal back.

It landed and growled while Naruto blinked in confusion. While looking like wolves it was easy to tell they were not them. They looked off. Their eyes held no light which signified life. Their tongues dropped from their open jaws and there was a red crest on its forehead. They seemed wild, feral, and hungry. Maybe he should calm them down. "Well…..how about we just take me off the…"

They dashed forward and Naruto echoed their motion. Too bad he was the faster one. He was over to them, cutting down the three with quick swings of his blade. Wind erupted throughout the area, the source being from his sword and then he was behind them. He sighed swinging his right where it rightfully belongs. "At least I have a me.." The words barely left his mouth when he noticed lights behind him. He turned his hand hovering nearly his blade. Balls of light was traveling from the bodies, floating up into the air before fading. "Th..The hell!" Naruto tilted his head, jumping back spotting the bodies disappear as well.

Though they did leave something behind.

Naruto warily walked to where the bodies of the creatures should have been. Metal glinted and he bent down to collect what he could only recognize as coins. "The hell? Did they leave me money?"

He couldn't help but grin, "Creatures dropping money? Froggy-chan is getting fat tonight." He almost laughed, hoping more would come out. But they didn't and it was growing darker. He knew it would be best to look for life, hopeful they wouldn't disappear into balls of light as well.

Naruto took another look around before deciding to head up the path. There was no reason not to at this point. It would lead to a settlement most likely and then he can find out where the hell he was.

Naruto quickly came to fork in the road, one way looked like it led to water while the other looked to be heading higher up. Naruto was a swimmer, but he would like to dry off, so he decided to take the higher path. He took notice that this path he was on was basically clear of most debris. It was used frequently. This assure Naruto that there were people to be found here. And this path would lead him there.

As Naruto strolled, he found the area to be much more expansive than he thought. He walked on a path that was both under a waterfall and some structures. It was mostly as open giving him a view of the darkening sky, and small and big birds. He had to stop once noticing a giant bird. He took time to blink and notice it did not have feathers, and that same look as the wolf creatures before. "Uh…."

He had little time to think as the bird flapped its wings hard, sending a almost sonic boom like wave at the boy. He was not prepared and was sent flying backward. He hit the wall of the cliff and shook the confusion out of him. He narrowed his eyes at the bird as it came down upon him.

It wasn't fast, well not faster than him so getting out of the way was easy as dodging a feather. But Naruto was by far not in the mood for such annoyances. "I'm going to cook you right bird brain!" He took kunai out from pouches he held on his belt and tossed them at the bird.

They hit but unlike many animals he had hunted and fought it paid no mind to it. Naruto stopped as it soared into the air, 'Was it escaping?' His soundless question was answered with it came down trying to bash its face into him. He dodged again, drawing his sword and slicing at it with blinding speed. Damage was done, he knew that but it acted as if he had tapped it. "Hmm"

It repeated itself for a few minutes, combat with a beast was usually as exciting as this but Naruto had to question if this thing was alive. It ignored his attacks but at the same time it did look like it was succumbing to his attacks. He put his sword away deciding to handle it in a different way. His hands came together making familiar seals. Of course, this creature would not give him the time to do it, who would. But this made it easy to aim. It came down upon him and Naruto slid just under the beast, 'Fire release: Grand fireball technique' He blew hard, flames erupting, rolling into a massive fireball.

The bird had no chance, the fire colliding and consuming the creature as its tinder. He made it too strong, and it flew high into the sky before it fizzled out. Naruto panted, regaining his breath and energy. "…Why do I feel so bad?" He dropped to one knee touching the ground. He thought of the events that preceded him waking up and all he could remember was a figure. He would give himself time. He would remember in time. His eyes were on the light that flew into the air and second later objects hit the ground. He really would not get any food, would he? He hated the taste of rations.

After a few minutes he stood up. He breathed in and looked at what the creature left behind. He collected it, finding a veil of blue liquid among the coins. Putting it in his pouch he continued down the road. Hopefully, the ninja who might have seen that didn't think it was act of hostility.

He barely walked a minute before more creatures came, a wolf, a bird, and what looked like a water monster with some glowing brain or something inside of it. He blinked three times and drew his sword. He began to fully understand that how annoying this would get.

It was dark now, the sun gone from the sky. Naruto breathed heavily; he didn't quite understand the numbers of these creatures. If he walked, they attacked, if he took a break, they attacked, if he attacked, they attacked. He had fought no less then 75 of them and it seemed like it was no end in sight. Only two upsides to this were that he had just about 200 to 300 coins, that he realized looked quite different from the money he was used to, and he was close could now see a settlement. A small one with very few houses and what looked to be a temple in the middle.

He walked down the road, his body even worst then before. Maybe he could get some rest there. He stopped his thought, sighing as he heard movement behind him. He turned just in time to shield himself from a bite that was aimed at his neck which would have surely ended him. He growled punching it two times with chakra enhanced strength. It was forced off him flying back. Sadly it wasn't dead.

"When will this end?" He asked himself. He drew kunai this time, fearing he would have a hard time using his sword. The water creature glowed, lunging forward as if directing an attack at him. He was blasted from below by cold water, sending him in the air and onto his back. He blinked in both pain and confusion. "THE HELL WAS THAT!" He yelled. He had no time to answer that question! The bird spearing down at him. He began to move, spotting something blue and white soar through the air and knocking the bird out, killing it. Naruto choose not to look behind, choosing to believe it was an ally.

He stood, taking some breaths as a man ran up to his side. "Looks like you're having trouble ya!"

Naruto watched the wary creatures and nodded. "I've been running a gauntlet of them since like thirty minutes ago. Like 75 of them!"

He laughed, "Well don't ya worry, backup has arrived."

Naruto chuckled warily. It was good to hear a human voice. It felt like it's been ages since he has. He readied himself as the wolf came running at him. Dodging quickly, he made use of the opening to slash the wolf three times. He tripped and fell leaving the unknown man time to hit it with his ball. That seemed to do the trick and it body dissipated into the light balls. Now the water monster was left.

"Do you know magic?"

Naruto blinked and looked at the man. "M-magic?" Naruto thought about his techniques.

The man hummed, he caught him looking back. Naruto tried to turn but stopped when he saw a lightning bolt rain from the sky, striking the creature. His mouth dropped; he didn't feel any chakra. He did feel something, but it was an odd feeling. "That…w-who?" Naruto looked behind him, locking on a pair of red eyes.

She checked him over, and her eyes narrowed. "Who are you?" Naruto blinked, looking her up and down. Dressed in a black dress, which had one two many belts using for covering her legs. Fur outlined the top of the dress, leaving her shoulders and neck exposed. "Well?"

Naruto perked up and raised his hand to rub his head. "Oh- oh Sorry! I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki!" He looked between her and to the man with the ball. 'Orange hair, tall, and quite the physique.' "Uh!"

The man looked him over, then gave him the most welcoming smile he'd seen in a while. "I'm Wakka, captain od the Besaid Aurochs, brudda!" He held his hand out.

Naruto smiled, putting his weapons away and grabbing his hand. "Nice to meet ya." He looked at the woman.

"Ah that's Lulu." Wakka said releasing his hand. Naruto gave a light bow. Glad they were friendly.

"Where are you from?"

Well friendly enough. "I'm from, Konoha. I'm a ninja." He pointed at his forehead protector, the one that shows the symbol of his village.

"Ko-noha?!" Wakka repeated. "Ne'ver heard of a place like that?" Naruto blinked before staring at him.

"W-what?" He looked from Wakka to Lulu. "You're joking right?"

"No. There is no place that we know of named that."

Naruto could see no deceit from them, and he backed up. He palmed his face hard, letting out a loud sigh. "Ooook…ooook. Then….uh do you know the directions of the elemental countries?" They looked at each other before shaking their heads.

Shock and confusion filled his being. 'Ok, ok, ok. Its possible that they are so far off that they haven't had any contact with home. Yeah, that it. First find out where I am.' A hand dropped on his shoulder and he looked at Wakka.

"Calm down ya! Its ok." Naruto nodded, taking a breath.

"Alright…So this is an island called Besaid."

Lulu nodded, "How did you get here?" Naruto shrugged.

"I woke up in water. I can't actually remember what happened the last few days." He watched them as they looked at each other.

"Another one." Lulu said, palming her face.

"Wha?"

Wakka slapped his back, "Don't worry we'll take care of ya."

"Huh?" Naruto looked at him as he walked towards the village.

"Come, let get you healed up and get some food in ya." Wakka said waving him in.

Naruto sighed but nodded. "Thank you." The three walked inside, Naruto following behind them. There was a crowd of people, not two many looked to be around 15 near a large bone fire. Naruto took quick note of a bestial creature standing just at the head of this crown. It looked dangerous but docile. They got to the bonfire and Naruto stopped. He wasn't sure what he was walking in to and he liked being cautious. It seemed that Wakka wasn't for that though. His arm came around his neck and he was lowered.

"Come on ya. Don't be scared." He said pulling him forward.

Naruto struggled, "Hey! Hey! Let me go!." They walked quite a few steps before he was released. He lost his footing almost immediately and fell. Wakka laughed and Naruto sighed.

"A little warning next time."

A cute giggle reached his ear and he looked up. She wasn't that tall about average height. She had light brown hair to her shoulders. Her hair was not straight it was cut to get it a slight messy look at the bottom. She wore something akin to a shrine maiden's dress. However, the most peculiar trait about this female is her eyes. Her right eye is deep sea green while her left is a deep ocean blue.

"Are you okay?" The girl in front of him asked, her hand out to help him up. Naruto blinked and gave a smile of embarrassment.

"Ah! Ha, Yeah I'm alright." Naruto replied nervously as he lightly grabbed her hand. She helped him up to a standing position. "Thank you."

She smiled, before looking at her two friends. "Did you…find the source of the fire?"

Wakka nearly jumped up, "Oh…Oh yea." Naruto looked between them.

"Fire?" Naruto asked. Lulu gaze was on him.

"Yes. There was a fireball in the sky, quite a few not too long again. I'm sure you would have seen it." Naruto laughed.

"Yeah….That was me…I was fighting."

Yuna gasped lowly, "Oh, are you alright?"

Naruto nodded with a smile, "A bit tired but there was nothing out there I couldn't handle."

"Ha it didn't look like it to me." Wakka said causing Naruto to glare at him. The woman giggled at them drawing Naruto's attention back to her.

"My name is Naruto." Yuna blinked before smiling.

"My name is Yuna." She said. "It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

Naruto nodded, "The pleasure is all mine." Naruto said smiling. "You have quite the beautiful name."

"Ah Thank you."

"No ne.." Naruto let out as Wakka grabbed him in a headlock again.

"Come on. Time for food and sleep ya?" Wakka looked at her. "And you should get some too Yuna. Got to wake up early tomorrow"

"Hey! Hey This is unnecessary abuse!" Naruto yelled out as he was pulled into a hut.

Wakka let Naruto go and watched as he crashed into a bed. "Hey what was that about?" Naruto asked turning.

"Nothin much. Don't you be getting any funny ideas about Yuna." Wakka said.

Naruto glared, but grin. "Sorry I can't make any promises old man."

Wakka had to laugh, "Wait here, I'll get you some food." Naruto nodded losing his glare.

"Thank you." Wakka nodded before he left. Naruto sighed, taking off his sword and placing it beside him. He the slouched holding his head in has hands. He thought about current events, trying to figured out what's what and his next move. "Besaid island….I wonder if they have some time of map. Maybe I can figure my way from there."

Wakka returned a moment later. Plate in hand. "Here you go." Naruto took the plate quickly.

"Man you don't know how hungry I am. I owe you my life!" He dug in immediately, grabbing the fork. It was a mix of rice, fruits, and a bit of meat.

"Don't worry about it, ya!" Wakka laughed watching as he ate. "Hey…So tell me about this Konoha place."

Naruto looked at him and grinned. He loved talking about his home.

Twenty minutes later

Naruto was resting on the bed, there was other people around and the soft snores of sleep let him not that he was the only one in the waking world. He had told Wakka what he could about his home, making sure to keep everything that could be used against him a secret. Wakka himself had answered quite a few of his questions and told him stories of his home. The first thing Naruto concluded was that this was not earth. How he got here he would have to figure out especially if he wanted to return home.

Wakka had mention things that seemed strange to him, like this religion called Yevon, summoners, guardians, the creatures called fiends and this thing called sin. He even told him about blitz ball, which seemed kinda cool. He would like to explore that a bit. But what he did know is he wouldn't figure out anything by staying on this island. "Ahhh of course I would land in a situation like this!"

Naruto sighed once again before looking up. 'Sin, Summoners, Guardians?...What kind of world did I get sent to?' Naruto thought.

"I hate you!" Naruto blinked and looked at teen across from him. He has blonde hair in a bed and has on a strange outfit. But not as odd as with Lulu. Other then that he looked completely normal and harmless.

"Wow….I haven't even met you yet." Naruto said . The blonde looked over to Naruto and blinked. "But you….I used to that."

"Ah. Sorry…bad dream."

Naruto stared at him for a moment. "Its fine." He smiled. "I'm Naruto. What's your name?"

He sat up, nodding his head. "I'm Tidus." He looked him up and down. "You don't dress like the people here are you."

"No I'm not from here. Seems like I'm from a different world." Naruto froze. It sounded odd saying that. It also wasn't that believable. Tidus perked up.

"Oh? Me too." Naruto looked at him.

"Ah so you were the other one they mention." Naruto said. "You don't look like you from where I am."

"I'm from a Zanarkand." He said though a lot lower than Naruto expected. Was it a secret?

"Where is that?" Tidus rubbed his head. "Don't worry. Seems like we are around people who will at least guide us a bit." Tidus nodded, assured.

With the new silence they could both hear voices filtering in from the outside. Naruto shrugged as Tidus moved over to the curtains covering the door. Naruto reached for an apple that was on a table as he watched Tidus moved the covers over.

"He does look a lot like Chappu. I was surprised when I first saw him. But no matter what he looks like he isn't Chappu." It was Lulu. He didn't need to see her to know. Her voice was quite distinct. "You shouldn't have brought him in the first place. And now we have to worry about Naruto as well." Lulu said.

"Yeah…. but they need our help." Wakka said.

"Excuses again?" Lulu said

"Yeah but..." Wakka said.

"That's it. No more. Enough. Wakka!" She said before turning and walking off. Wakka stepped forward with his hand out but stopped. He sighed before letting his hand drop down with his head in defeat.

Tidus dropped the sheets and leaned back as Naruto ate his apple. A few seconds later Wakka came walking in. "Scary!" Tidus said. "So who's Chappu?".

"My little brudda, Chappu…" He paused. "He looked a lot like you."

"He dead." Tidus stated. They both walked over to the beds and sat down.

"I first hear on the day of the tournament." Wakka said.

"Oh, So that's why." Tidus said.

"I became a guardian to fight sin, Ya?" Wakka said.

"So you are doing this guardianship thing for revenge?" Naruto asked.

"That was the idea." Wakka said looking at Naruto.

"I can understand, but I would say do plunge head first into it." Naruto said finishing off the apple.

Wakka rubbed his head. "Don't worry about that. I'm more worried about some stupid game now than avenging my brudda." Wakka said. Naruto nodded.

"That's good. Your brother…probably wants you to live your life. Revenge is quite the detour."

"True. I have other reasons as well but either way after the next tournament I'll be a guardian full time." Wakka said. He looked at Tidus. "I know It looks like I'm using you but I'm not." Wakka said.

"Don't worry. I mean I owe you a lot. You really helped me out, you know?" Tidus said. "What I mean is… Thanks, Wakka." Tidus stood and out stretched his hand out. Wakka looked at his hand before drawing back.

"Stop your embarrassing me." He said scratching his head. Naruto smiled at them before laying down.

A man wearing a black cloak looked around on the path he was on. 'It seems I'm not in the same dimension.' The man thought. 'Hm it seems like gaining the Kyuubi here would be meaningless…Unless I find a way back.' He thought before turning around. 'Though this world seems interesting.' He thought looking at the one plant creature and three wolf creatures. 'I kinda like it here.' He thought drawing a sword as they attacked.

Naruto opened his eyes and sat up. He saw Wakka missing and Tidus still sleeping. He hummed stretching a bit. His body was feeling better. Something occurred to him and he smiled. He stood up and grabbed his sword that was leaning against the bed. Time for some morning practice. He placed it on his back and walked out of the hut. 'But first….bathroom.' Naruto thought.

Five minutes later Naruto stood in the middle of the village where he met Yuna. It was a nice clear area for what he planned. The fire pit would serve well for it. He looked around seeing nobody awake or hearing any movement. Naruto nodded taking a breath and drew his sword. He stepped closer to the remains of the fire from last night and stabbed his blade into the middle. He took three steps back and moved his hands in front of his chest placing his right fist into the open palm of his left.

"Guide me." He said bowing with his eyes closed. A low hum began to rise from in front of him, a blue glow coming from his sword. A soft breeze blew across him and he lifted his head and opened his eyes. Staring forward he imagined a old enemy and shifted into a fighting stance. Naruto started by sidestepping to the right in a circle slowly.

As he got to the right side, he moved his right and left hand in a blocking motion before bringing his right arm back and throwing a punch. For each step he made, he imagined his attacker throwing an punch, kick, a slash with a weapon and countered each appropriately.

After one loop he sped up, now he added dodging into his attacks. The mental enemy was fierce, and Naruto fought him with as much intensity as possible. He jumped up spinning while throwing a kick slightly higher the hilt of his sword. He landed back in his stance a second later and continued his walk throwing punches, jabs, hook, round house kicks as he traveled around in a circle. Every time he made one completely rotation around his sword he picked up speed until he was moving fast enough for the wind to pick up around his area.

His body spoke to him, telling him he was not completely healed but he ignored it, as he always did.

"Do you really think you can beat me?" The man asked.

"Shut up." Naruto said as he stood up. He drew his blade from the ground and gathered chakra into his sword. 'Take this Wind release: Wind wave!' Naruto thought swinging his blade down. A wave of wind came at the man in front of him who had a smug look about him. The wind barely rustled his cloak as he smirked. "Damn you." disappeared completely.

"Whoa!" Naruto heard from the side. Naruto came to a stop, sweat falling from his face. The wind burst around, blowing the leaves and anything not nailed down. Naruto let out a breath and blinked away his foe before looking at Wakka who was across the way.

"Sorry….Wakka. Was I a bother?" Naruto asked panting.

"Wow…you moved so….it was a like a tornado…." Wakka's awe was clear in his voice and Naruto figured these people weren't used to such things.

"Yeah, been trying for a year with this.." Naruto said between pants as he spotted the blue long sword in his hand.

Wakka remembered what he said the night before. "Ninjas must be quite something ya?" Wakka said moving towards Naruto.

"You can say that." Naruto said before standing straight. "That's a neat looking sword." Naruto covered the distance to his sword and placed his hand on the hilt.

"I know right! Its for Tidus."

"He's lucky." Naruto drew the blade and held it out in front of him. Wakka smiled, beaming as if complimented.

"Hey….well since you need a way home…and Tidus…Do you wanna come with us?" Naruto blinked and smiled. He would have followed either way but being asked was nice.

"Oh? Where you heading?"

"Oh first we get on a boat and head to Killika. There Yuna will pray to the Fayth to get a aeon. From there we got to Luca where the blitz ball tournament is being held. I hope somebody you and Tidus know will be there."

"I see." Naruto smiled and swung his blade. A gust of wind flew towards the temple, swirling in front of the entrance like a tornado.

"Whoa. What was that?" Wakka asked.

"It's the first technique I learned with this sword." Naruto said looking at it again. He placed it back on his back. "Alright. I'll come along. Exploring would at least give me enough info to get home at least."

"Good!" Wakka said.

Naruto walked toward him, noticing quite a few people was out. They were looking at him and he was sure he had made a scene. "Alright, how long before we leave?"

"We wait until Yuna's ready." Lulu said coming from behind him.

"And Tidus." Wakka said.

Naruto nodded before turning around and looking at Lulu. He stared at her for a moment remembering her talk with Wakka last night. He should keep on her good side.

"Yes?" She asked.

"Uh nothing. I'm just not use to seeing a beautiful woman so early in the morning." Naruto said. Lulu stared at him blushing lightly not knowing how to respond.

"Hey cool it with that ya?" Wakka said grabbing him in a head lock again.

"Ah! Ah! Stop it monkey man." Naruto let out. At this moment Tidus decided to come out from the hut and saw Wakka and Naruto.

He paused for a moment. "Um…do I even want to know?" He asked smiling.

Wakka looked at him. "Oh Hey! Sleepy head." Wakka said letting go of Naruto. He turned to him as Naruto crouched down rubbing his head. "Got something I want to give to ya." Wakka said.

"Whoa! You're giving this…to me?" Tidus asked surprised.

"Yeah use it well." Wakka said handing it to Tidus. Tidus held on to it turning before placing his left hand on the hilt with his right hand. He held it up straight before turning the hilt causing the blade to shift in front of him.

"That's the sword you gave Chappu." Lulu said as Tidus raises the blade and swings it down.

"Well, he never used it." Wakka said sadly as Tidus looked over to them. "Where's Yuna?" Wakka asked.

"We're taking the same both as Yuna right? Why we do we gotta wait here?" Tidus asked.

"Yuna came to this village ten years ago, when the last calm started." Wakka said.

"The calm?" Both Naruto and Tidus asked.

"Since than she's been like a little sister to me and Lulu." Wakka said. "But she had the talent…she became an apprentice…."

'Wait….why did he say it like that?' Naruto thought.

"Now today she leaves as a Summoner."

"This is our journey…. We should leave together." Lulu said. At that point something hit the ground. Everybody turned to the temple and looked at Yuna as she picked up a suitcase almost half her height. "You really don't need all that luggage."

"Ah! They're really not my things. The-they're gifts for the temples we're to visit." Yuna said.

Wakka looked at her disapprovingly. "This isn't a vacation Yuna."

"I guess…" Yuna started dejected. Naruto not liking seeing people frown, hopped into action. He rushed to Yuna's side, using too much speed.

"Don't be so uptight guys." Naruto said causing Yuna to jump. "Yuna-chan wants to bring gifts so just let her. It's not like it will hurt anybody." He was right next to Yuna, surprising everyone. They looked at his last known location before looking back at him.

"How?" Tidus said.

"I'll carry it for you Yuna." Naruto said smiling. He picked up the bag with one hand and Yuna nearly made a grab for it.

"No, no it alright." Yuna said shyly.

"Come now. I have to pay my way somehow." Naruto said. Naruto walked forward as Yuna followed him.

Lulu glared, but felt somewhat happy."…Fine Lets go."

The began to walk towards the exit but Yuna stopped right as they got pass the middle of the village. Naruto stopped briefly and looked back. Yuna moved her hands down and then around ending up in front of her making an open O with her hands then bowing.

'Why…do I feel like I'm missing something?' Naruto thought. He waited until Yuna turned around and they met each other's gazes. He felt like she was saying goodbye and he gave a small smile and nodded to her. She returned his smile before walking forward and passed him. He followed behind her, walking five steps away. He looked to see Tidus, Lulu, and Wakka waiting by the gate at the entrance to the village.

Once outside the village, the group walked up the path heading back to the beach. Before they made it halfway, the creatures which he now knew as being called fiends appeared. Wakka got out his ball as Tidus readied his new sword. "Here comes one now." Wakka said. "How about you try the sword I gave ya."

Tidus nodded, moving first and lunging at the fiend. It had no chance and was killed with a single blow. Naruto wondered just how bad he was feeling yesterday. Some of them took multiple hits. As the balls of light came from it body as it disappeared Tidus looked at Wakka with a grin. "Too easy"

"Not to shappy. You kept up with it well. You might make a good guardian some day." Wakka said just as a flying fiend came to the field. "Oh a flier! My kind of customer." He watched the birds movements and threw his ball hard at it. The ball bounced off the birds head and went towards Wakka as the bird creature disappeared into lights.

Naruto had to admit, that was good shot. "Nice aim."

Wakka looked back at him grinning with pride. Naruto decided he would join in on this. It wouldn't be much of training but it would keep him limber.

With the fiends gone they walked forward again quickly on the lookout. Just as they got to the top of the steep path the flappy creature like the one from yesterday dropped out of nowhere. It is very short and blue. It has yellow eyes a in the middle of it is a darker blue with what looked to be veins in it.

"Okay, it that thing. What is it?" Naruto asked pointing at it.

"It's a water flan. Which could be…trouble." Wakka said.

"Trouble?" Naruto asked.

"I can take care of it. Watch this." Tidus said before dashing at the creature. He slashed through it and jumped back. The creature looked unharmed as it turned to Tidus.

"What is that thing made of?" Tidus asked.

"See? What did I tell ya? If you can't beat em down then you have to use an magic element that they don't like." Wakka said.

"Magic, Element?" Tidus said.

"Lets, let are black mage handle it." Wakka said as Lulu steps up.

"Clueless." She said. "There are four types of magic elements. Fire, Ice, Thunder, and Water these four elements can be used against fiends. However each has an strength and an weakness. Such as Fire and Ice. Fire spells are strong against ice fiends as fire fiends are weak against ice spells. Follow?" She asked.

"Yea. I get fire and ice. But what about water and Lightning?" Tidus asked.

"Water and lightning are opposed too. This is a water fiend which means…" Lulu said as Naruto listened.

"Lightning." Tidus said.

"Correct." Lulu said before raising her hand to her chest as blue energy followed around her.

'…What is that…It doesn't feel like chakra but it's similar.' Naruto thought as she raised her hand and swung it down. A lightning bolt came down and struck the flan. It body fell to the ground as the multi-colored balls flew into the air. "That's quite amazing. Its faster then what I can do too." Naruto said to himself. Lulu gazed at him before looking forward.

"Lets go." Lulu said. They came up to a cliff that showed a great view over the entire village. Lulu stopped taking a look as Yuna came to her side. "Take your time." Lulu said. Naruto walked over to the edge and smiled.

"Beautiful." Naruto said. Yuna nodded and gave a small smile.

"Lets get going. Man!" Tidus said raising his hand.

"We're going to wait." Wakka said sternly. Yuna turned and walked up the path toward Wakka and Tidus. "Are you ready?" Wakka asked. Yuna looked at him and nodded before walking past him. Lulu came up to him and nodded as well.

Naruto looked over the village once more with a smile. Suddenly flashes of a different village on fire swept across his mind. Naruto grabbed his head with his free hand as he started to pant lightly. He turned away quickly and panted. 'What was that?' He thought.

"Hey, you okay?" Wakka asked. Naruto blinked and turned to him.

"Yea I'm fine. Just a headache." Naruto said before turning toward him and walking. Wakka turned after that and walked up to a large stone with three green jewels in it.

"What's going on?" Tidus asked. Naruto stopped and placed the bag down near him.

"It's an ancient custom. People leaving the island pray here for a safe journey." Wakka said on his knees in front of the stone as Naruto took out a scroll. "Chappu didn't pray that day. He said he'll miss his boat."

Naruto watched Yuna, Lulu and Wakka do a motion with their hands before bowing down. Naruto decided not to follow, not even knowing what the motion was. He pulled out a scroll from his pouch opened the scroll. He spread it out over the ground in front of him looking at the premade Kanji on it. He had opened up to show just about four of them. He pressed his hand on the fourth one and added chakra into it.

"Seal." Naruto said lowly drawing Lulu's attention. Lulu watched as the bag that Yuna had disappeared into cloud of smoke with wide eyes. Naruto looked at the glowing seals before it stopped showing the bag was sealed.

"Wha…" Lulu let out. Looking from him to the bag. Naruto caught it and realized he had be found out. He smiled at her raising his thumb up, she wasn't the only one with magic. He rolled up the scroll quickly and put it back in his pouch before standing.

"That should do it." Wakka said standing up. Yuna and Tidus lifted their heads up a second after and turned away from the statue. She looked at Naruto, noticing the bag was gone.

"Naruto…um where's the bag." Yuna asked. Naruto smiled at her before taking out the scroll.

"Don't worry it's stored in here. Lulu isn't the only one who know magic." Naruto said smirking. Yuna looked at him before looking at Lulu who shook her head.

"Alright lets go." Wakka said. They turned and walked straight ahead ignoring the path on their left. After a few minutes they came to a huge metal like ruins that rose high above the dirt road. Naruto looked up high.

"Whoa, I passed this yesterday but didn't really get a chance to take a look at it." Naruto said as everyone walked forward. Naruto did as well before stopping at a blue panel. "Hn what's this." Naruto said drawing Tidus attention. "I have no idea what it says." He looked at Tidus "Do you?"

Tidus looks over it a second later and shook his head. "Not a clue."

"I see." Naruto said before turning his head. "They're leaving us." Naruto said. Tidus quickly turns and looks at them.

"Hey! Wait up." He yelled out. Naruto shook his head and walked after Tidus who started to run forward. Naruto stopped feeling killing intent.

"Tidus." Naruto said grabbing his hilt. Tidus stopped and looked back at him as something roared. Both Naruto and Tidus looked up to see a blue furred monster jump on a piece of the metal before jumping down to them. Tidus jumped back as the creature landed right in front of him on it's hands and feet. The creature growled as out before dragging it's claws back as he drew them into a fist. He stood up slightly crouched as he roared loudly. Naruto took in it's appearance as Tidus got his sword out.

He stands at a height of 205.74 cm and has white hair tied in a small pony tail flowing down with his hair. On his foread is a horn that appears to have a piece of it either cut off or broken. The blue beast has white hair on his chin making a small gote, with two braids folded up to make a thick braid on both sides of his head, and a yellow necklace around his neck. He has on black straps on his chest with a skull in the center with a lighter blue under cloth on his waist covering his abes. He has on brown with dirt yellow toga on his waist held up with a red sash and a green design flowing down. A small white ring on his left shoulder with two feather designs on the back of his shoulders and blue wrist bracers. "Interesting." Naruto said stepping next to Tidus.

The blue beast pulled a javelin from his back with a normal spear on the top but with two quarter moon designs on the side sticking out reversed and got into a ready stance. Naruto grinned, "He seems to wanna fight you dude." Tidus looked at Naruto.

"Wha?" Naruto gave him not real chance to comment before giving him a light shove into the battlefield. He nearly cussed at the ninja but the battle was on.

The blue beast moved quickly dashing at Tidus. He swung his javelin at Tidus only for Tidus to dodge to his right. Naruto smiled, "You got some moves there Tidus."

"Shut up!" Tidus dodged another strike and tried to go for an attack but the creature leap from him and went head first towards Naruto.

"Eh?" Naruto was quite surprised, but not enough to take the hit. His sword was out and he parried the weapon before rushing in towards him. The creature was not surprised but reached out and grabbed Naruto by his shirt. Naruto let it happen and was throw over to Tidus side.

Naruto landed carefully and got ready. It seems he would be tested, for what he did not know but this would be interesting none the less. "Come Tidus." Naruto said.

"Uh..right." They got read and both of them dashed at him. He lead first, going for strikes he was sure this one could block. He was right and each blow was handled expertly. Tidus came up right and while his attacks were amateurish, they still managed to put the creature on guard.

Naruto laughed as the three of the traded attacks. Tidus was batted away frequently being seen as the lesser threat. The left Naruto his real focus and with going with everything he learned of the sword, it was actually hard for Naruto to keep up. With each thrust and stab Naruto was forced to parry and dodge. But Naruto was faster and he was able to bring his own attacks in. They never connected enough to damage him but it was close.

He even forced the man back. He blinked as the beast-man got more distance. Tidus tried to follow and Naruto stopped him feeling something off about this. The beast-man glowed orange putting his free hand just in front of his horn. Naruto tilted his head just as the creature backed up before moving forward stabbing the end of his javelin in the ground and using it to catapult him into the air. Naruto stared at him surprised at the unexpected move.

The beast came down hard as Naruto threw Tidus to the side. The beast stabbed his javelin into the ground once again causing a mini shockwave. Naruto was blown back into the air and saw black. "Naruto!" Tidus shouted.

Naruto came back all too quickly and flipped in the air. He landed understanding the blow knocked him unconscious for a moment.

"It's not over yet." Naruto said smiling. Tidus got up and ready to fight once more. This time he led the change, coming to slash at the beast. It was blocked with ease and Tidus was forced back yet again. The javelin was twirled in the air and came down upon the teen. But this time instead of Tidus blocking it, it was Naruto.

The beast eyes shined with surprise and Naruto could hear Tidus confused "what?" behind him.

Naruto pushed the attack back, jumping after and flipping in area. He connected two kicks before he was forced to dodging a punch. The beast would not be outdone, closing the gap between them and swinging his weapon. Naruto leap over it and Tidus took the opening to attack.

"That's enough." Wakka said just under the metal ruin. Everyone stopped and the beast got out of his stance. Naruto looked towards Wakka and the girls, wondering why he was stopped. Wakka walked forward touching the beast on the way just before he turned and started walking.

"What's with that guy?" Tidus asked panting. Naruto put his sword away a grinned.

"Kimahri Ronso, of the Ronso tribe. He learned the fiend's way of fighting." Lulu said.

"That was cool. Naruto said smiling.

"That's not what I meant." Tidus said.

"He's another of Yuna's guardians." Wakka said.

"Huh?" Naruto and Tidus let out. Yuna giggled before walking in front of them.

"Sometimes we don't understand him either. He doesn't talk much anyway." Yuna said smiling. "But he has protected me since I was a child." Yuna said moving just to the side of Tidus.

"So, him attacking us must have been some type of test." Naruto said. They looked at him as he smiled. "I wonder if I can spar with him again." Naruto said thinking.

"Are you serious?" Tidus asked.

"Yea. One can only get stronger by fighting stronger opponents. I have just started using a sword a few months ago. I still have a lot to learn." Naruto said.

"Wait only a few months ago? And you're this good? Wow." Wakka said.

"Aw You making me Blush!" Naruto said, rubbing his head. Yuna tilted her head looking at his sword at his back.

"Your sword is so big….How do you carry it so easy?" Yuna asked. Naruto looked at her and smiled at her question.

"Well you see before I was able to use this sword my teacher had me train with weights as heavy as this sword. So when I finally got it was light….Until my teacher added more weights to the sword." Naruto said.

"Your teacher….is he well known?" Lulu asked.

Naruto looked at her and thought about it. "I would say. I've only been with him for just a little bit but so many came to challenge him every day."

"Oh? Did you quit?" Wakka asked.

"Nope. He died." Naruto said looking off. Wakka stopped and rubbed his head. "This sword was his keepsake. I was only supposed to use it as training sword. He said he would have one made for me once my training was complete." He drew his sword again and held it up. The long blade sparkled in the light. "But somehow just when we really started he was killed and this fell into my hands." Naruto shifted his sword to the side so the edge was facing in front of him.

"So are you out for revenge?" Tidus asked. Naruto looked at him before placing the sword back on his back.

"No…I wouldn't even know who to go after. It happened while I was out training…He told me to hold on to it just before he died." Naruto said. "Anyway enough about me. Let's get going before we miss the boat." Naruto gave a smile, hoping they would leave the subject alone.

"Yeah." Tidus said. They turned and walked forward.

'Okay they got a little too much out of me.' He thought before sighing. Naruto looked ahead seeing a water fall and bridges connecting pieces of land to the paths. They started on the bridges when Naruto suddenly heard noises. "Um…I think we have company." Naruto said. Everyone turned as a huge bird fiend flapped over to them.

"A condor." Lulu said.

"Um fliers are your department right?" Tidus said.

"True, true…But lets have our summoner take a shot." Wakka said as Yuna stepped up.

"Yuna, it's your first real battle, lets see some style." Wakka said.

"Let's see what your training has taught you." Lulu said.

"Okay." Yuna said.

"Wait…What?" Naruto asked looking at them holding his hilt tightly.

"Just watch. Yuna got this ya?" Wakka said. Yuna nodded as she walks out in front of everyone as the Condor floats above the ground a few feet high letting out a massive screech.

"Father...give me strength!" Yuna holds her staff back with one hand in front of her as a seal forms under her. Four light green spheres fly off into the sky twirling as the clouds part. Naruto looks into the sky and blinked.

'Is this a summoning?' Naruto thought feeling weird. Instantly a booming sound can be heard as a small object in the sky rockets toward Yuna. The oval object spreads it's wings before touching the ground in a slid. It stopped next to Yuna as she moved over to it. Naruto takes in the Aeons appearance with a blink face. It's face is white and with a small point at it's mouth. It's neck is red rigged with some form of feathers never seen, it's wing trims are purple and a vanilla color, it has three claw like wings on both sides of it's body with a loop of golden rings connecting to the last claw on the right side. It's chest is a vanilla color as the same red rigged feathers go down it's lower body and to it's purple bird like legs with a red purple tail.

Yuna gently pets it just before she pats it. Yuna took a step back looking at the aeon as it flew in front of her. "Please, fight with us!" Yuna said. The aeon quickly flaps off toward the Condor confronting it with a loud screech.

"Um…that's an Aeon right?" Naruto asked.

"Yes. It's name is Valefor." Lulu said.

"Alright….And cool." Naruto said smiling with his eyes sparkling.

The bird flew off towards Valefor trying to attack with it's beak. Valefor flew around it dodging it. "Valefor Sonic wings!" Yuna said. Valefor reeled back it's wings before thrusting them forward. The air distorted as invisible blade shot off towards the condor. The condor was blasted back disoriented but recovered quickly. The condor flew lower before flapping it's wings hard. The wind picked up and shot off towards Yuna and Valefor. Naruto acting quickly moving in front of Yuna with his sword out just as Valefor came down blocking the attack. Naruto looked up as valefor recovered quickly from the attack. "Lighting." Yuna said. Valefor's magical energy circled around it just before a lightning bolt came down on the bird.

"Wow." Naruto said moving to the side. Yuna looked at him with a smiled before looking back up.

"Valefore, Sonic wings!" Yuna shouted. Valefor thrust it's wings forward blasting the condor back. It recovered just as Valefor started to glow.

"What…" Naruto started.

"Valefor, Energy Ray!" Yuna said. Valefor spirals into the air as he leans his head back taking in air. Seconds pass as he thrusts his head forward with his mouth open as a purple white beam slashes across the ground and Condor. Valefor sails back down next to Yuna as the ground and Condor erupt in explosions. As the smoke clears small bubbles can be seen fading into the sky.

Valefor landed next to Yuna before looking towards Naruto. Naruto blinked as it stared at him. Yuna petted Valefor before it shot off into the sky disappearing. "Wow that was so cool!" Naruto shouted. "Hey so you get aeons like that every time you pray at a temple?" Naruto asked his eyes gleaming.

"Yeah." Yuna said smiling.

"That is really awesome." Naruto said.

"Yeah, yeah say how awesome it is as we walk" Wakka said grabbing him in a headlock again.

"Hey let me go. I still have to say how great Yuna is!" Naruto shouted as he was pulled by Wakka. Yuna blushed as she smiled as Lulu shook her head. Tidus narrowed his eyes just as they walked after them.

Naruto managed to get out of Wakka's headlock just as a condor flew down at them. "There are a lot today ya?" Wakka said.

"Hey this is your territory right?" Naruto asked smiling as he grabbed his sword.

"Yeah…Say good night birdy." Wakka said as Naruto let go of the handle.

"I'll show you one of my skills as well." Naruto said as Tidus got into his stance next to Wakka. The condor let out a loud screech as Wakka looked to be powering up. He tossed his ball at the condor hard. Naruto blinked as the conder's face began to smoke. "What did you just do?" Naruto asked as it flew at them. It went to Naruto first and tried to attack him but miss having his beak hit in front of where Naruto was.

"It's my dark attack. It blinds him for a while." Wakka said smiling. Tidus took the chance and dashed at the conder slashing it before it flew high enough.

"I guess its my turn." Naruto said making fast hand seals. 'Fire release: Dragon fire Jutsu!' Naruto thought blowing out red hot flames. Almost like the night before the condor was engulfed in his mighty flames. By the end of it balls of light flowed into the air.

"Whoa!" Wakka and Tidus let out as the fire faded. Naruto panted looking at the group.

"Well how did you like mine?" Naruto said. '...why does it feel like all my chakra hasn't recovered.' Naruto thought.

Lulu walked up to him, "That attack…That wasn't magic. Its more powerful than my fire spells."

Naruto beamed, happy at the praise, "Yeah it isn't magic! It's a ninja jutsu."

"Nin-ju-tsu" Yuna said slowly.

"Yea. Its not one of my more powerful ones. But its pretty good. Took me a long while to learn it." Naruto chuckled rubbing his head. "I have been practicing so I have a lot more to show you."

"You have more!?" Both Wakka and Tidus let out surprised.

Naruto nodded vigorously, "And I can make more as I go by too….but that would be dangerous."

"How so?" Lulu asked.

"I'll wind up blowing things up." Naruto said nodding, stroking his chin. "It always happens when I do it."

"Great ya? Lets get going." Wakka said shaking his head. They began to walk, questions filling the air.

"What does a ninja do?" Tidus asked.

Naruto thought about it, wondering if he should sugar coat it. "…Well it depends on the client." Naruto said.

"Client? So your services are paid for?" Yuna asked.

Naruto nodded, "Yeah usually through the hokage…Uh my leader.…We usually are hired to do pretty much anything…. Protect, retrieve, steal, find information, things like that. Hell we were hired a lot to find a cat that kept running away." Naruto said smiling.

Tidus laughed, "That must have been quite the challenge" Tidus said.

"Yeah, cats hates me. But I haven't done that stuff since I first became an official ninja. That was when I was twelve."

"And now?" Lulu said.

Naruto looked at her, "Well I did rescue missions, retrieval missions, even had to do a spying mission. The worst was when I had to guard this little brat. I tried to turn it down but….My leader has quite the right hook."

A chuckle and giggle rang out. "You scare of a little hit?"

Naruto looked at him, "She's strong enough to destroy a mountain. She sent me flying across the village once."

They blinked and all stared at him. "That's quite the exaggeration."

Naruto shook his head, remember the incident. "No, no, no…Like she's past fifty now. And she breaks table and punches me when I don't listen." Naruto looked up. "I had to learn when to actually challenge her. Doing it in front of people always wins up with me waking in in the forest." He looked at them. "She is literally that strong."

"I won't believe that until I see it ya?" Wakka said.

Naruto looked at him, "I could show you a taste."

"I'd like to see that." Tidus agreed. Naruto nodded.

"Ok, but not here….I don't think it would be good for the island."

They laughed, thinking it was a joke. They would understand in a few days.

Ten minutes passed, before they came to the bleach. The fiends were a lot more active but not as active as the night before. Naruto slowed down as Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, and Kimahri walked ahead. Tidus slowed down with him and the two of them watched as few kids and adults started following after Yuna. Naruto and Tidus both looked at each other before walking toward them.

"Hey you." Somebody called out. Naruto turned as a man walked up to him. "You're traveling with Lady Yuna right?"

Naruto blinked wondering how he heard. "Yeah."

"Here…This may be useful on her journey." He said handing Naruto some money.

"Huh? But…" Naruto started.

"Please use it to help Lady Yuna." He said before running away. Naruto sighed before pocketing it. Froggy-chan was getting really fat. As they walked across the beach, he noticed people giving Yuna some potions and other items. He even noticed that one guy gave Tidus some antidotes.

"Wow people must really care for her." Naruto said walking onto the dock.

"Yeah." Tidus said. The people who came gathered around the boat as Wakka, Kimahri, Lulu and Yuna walked on. Naruto and Tidus walked the last ones on when Yuna started to wave at the people. Naruto saw a kid cry and frowned.

'Why…why do I feel like there is something I'm missing about this summoner mess.' Naruto thought. He watched Yuna wave a little more as the boat set off. As if saying her last goodbyes she did the prayer that they did at the rock.

"Goodbye."

Alright my first ffx crossover. I hope you all like it. And my other stories are going slow because of me getting ready for college and my low inspiration at the moment. This is just a side project until things get back on track.
