Eren fulfilled his vow to exterminate the Titans and freed his people of Paradis, who lived in a caged world by three enormous walls that supposedly "protected" them from the man-eating humanoids. It was the only way to break the Curse of Ymir. However, 25 years on, unexpected events take place. The Curse returns, the Walls stand tall and the Titans have returned once more.

Forced to be seperated, Kai and Emet are sent somewhere unknown with Commander Hunter. Aimi, Eleanor and Milo are with Carla, where the Captain has taken them under her wing and turn them back to their 'home' Shiganshina. Where they spend the next several weeks getting to know Captain Carla for who she is and what she is capable of. For the trio, they learn the real way on how to fight, giving Aimi a second chance to potentially redeem herself. As for Kai and Emet, there mission is to gain the trust of the Mercifulness Commander, proving their loyalty and truth of where they come from. It is Kai Arlert's mission to do so. Whereas Emet comes to term on what he has become, no matter how much the Ackerman detests to do so. The story continues further as Kai and Emet meets someone who also is trapped in a different timeline. However is rather known as a folk tale legend than a future descendent. Who too wanted to free humanity within the Walls from Titans.
