Yay another chapter!

Here Gregor finally explains some things to the group, not everything though mind you.

I also started a new story. Please go check it out. It's another reincarnation story only this time into a canon character. Kaleb Westphall, there isn't much known about him aside from the fact that Kol possessed him in Originals so I thought it would be interesting to do a reincarnation fic with him. He's pretty much a blank slate for me to work with. Please check it out.

It's been pointed out to me that I made La Mai make a stupid mistake for seemingly no reason. I've gone back and edited it a little to give you a better handle on her thought process.

"Caroline?" La Mai asked in concern when she found the blonde girl in her room with red eyes and tear tracks on her face. With a small sob Caroline crashed into La Mai, feeling safe in the older vampire's arms. La Mai wrapped her arms around Caroline and stroked her hair and just let her cry her eyes out. La Mai guided them to sit in front of her bed.

That was how Gregor and Amelia both found them. "What's wrong, sweet girl?" Gregor's voice washed over Caroline like a comforting wave and everything came spilling out.

"Da-Damon." She hiccupped, Gregor immediately at her side with Amelia following, "I-I didn't want to admit it before. Because that would make it real." Caroline turned out of La Mai's arms and threw herself into Gregor's, burying her face in his chest, seeking comfort from a man she knew would never abuse or treat her as if she was worthless. "I begged him to stop! Why didn't he stop? This is all my fault."

Gregor frowned, "How is this your fault, darling?"

"I invited him into my house. Because I was jealous that everyone always paid attention to Elena first and he paid some attention to me so I thought he liked me!" She was openly sobbing now. Gregor gave a look to his daughters and gestured for them to give them some semblance of privacy. When they were out of sight but surely listening in, Gregor started talking.

"Darling, you had no idea what was going to happen. This is not your fault. You invited who you thought was an attractive human boy to your home for a hookup. He compelled you." Gregor gently grabbed her head to look him in the eye, "Say it for me. It is not your fault."

Shakily, Caroline repeated those words, "It wasn't my fault."

"Keep saying it." And so she said it over and over again for at least ten minutes. Eventually she felt a slight weight in her chest as she kept saying the words. Anger was filling her now. Over what Damon had done to her. How Stefan just let it go. How Elena, who was supposed to be her friend, ignored what happened to her and kept hanging around her abuser.. How Bonnie immediately judged her after she was turned into a vampire against her will. She would have never judged Elena like that or threatened her. She would have just made her a day ring without a second thought.

"Why do they do that?" She asked finally after her crying had calmed down, "Why did they think I was just this air head blonde girl? I have a 4.0 GPA at school. I am the head of a lot of school activities. An idiot wouldn't be able to do all that. Why did I let them treat me like I was just a hanger on for so many years?" She was ranting now, "Where were they when my parents divorced? Where were they when my mom buried herself in work rather than face reality? I know I can be neurotic and somewhat of a control freak and a little superficial at times but what did I do to basically get treated like someone who was just a blonde idiot airhead?

"Caroline, nothing I say will help anything. But I will say that we accept the love we think we deserve. Elena is wrong to ignore what happened to you and your right, Bonnie probably wouldn't have treated Elena the way she did you. All you can do now is decide two things. Do you want to talk to them and try to make this right? Or cut your losses and make new friends?"

Caroline was quiet for a moment, "I don't know. I've known them since kindergarten. Can I really throw away twelve years of friendship?"

"Well it's normal for people to drift apart. And people rarely stay friends with people they knew in school and during their childhood their whole lives. And you have a long immortal life ahead of you." Gregor was trying to be helpful without manipulating her because he thought she was smart enough to make her own decisions. "In 200 years, Elena and Bonnie will be dust in the ground while you'll remain the same as you are today."

"It's so strange to think that I'm never going to die of old age or sickness now." Caroline commented, "I'll think about it but I think I want to take a personal day."

"Of course."

"Gregor?" Caroline asked, "What's the second thing?"

"Do you want Damon dead?" He asked seriously as Caroline tensed. "I'm serious. He took away your ability to give consent. However you look at it, that's rape."

"Saying that word makes it so real now." She whispered.

"If you want him dead, I'll kill him for you or hold him down while you drive the stake through his heart?" Gregor offered.

Caroline thought really hard about it before coming to a decision, "Not yet, he'll protect Elena. And it's good to have a meat shield for use. But when he's no longer useful...ca-can you help me kill him?"

"Yes." Gregor said grimly but also with a twisted sense of pleasure of sending Damon Salvatore to hell. "The girls would help too if you asked."

"Will it make it better though?" Caroline asked, "I've never felt this way about anyone and I hate it! It's just this burning and festering rage and hatred."

"It's different for everyone Caroline. Killing him might make you feel better. It might not. But no matter what, it'll make you feel relieved that he's no longer walking on this earth." Gregor gave his advice, "Though sometimes the best revenge is living well and looking forward. But that's up to you."

"Everytime, I am anywhere near him, my skin crawls." The blonde girl admitted, "And I just remember how he abused me, compelled me, and fed on me. And I'll always remember the feel of his hands on my skin."

Gregor rubbed her back comfortingly, "That's sadly quite common. There will always be things you'll remember."

"You sound like you're speaking from personal experience." Caroline started carefully, having a hard time to believe that anyone had managed to hurt Gregor in such a way. He just always seemed so confident. So sure of himself. So strong.

"Even...even the strongest of us can be brought down by magic, chains, or vervain." Gregor swallowed before changing the subject to avoid having to talk about his own trauma. "Since you're taking a personal day then I'll tell you everything I'm gonna tell the three musketeers and their trusty sidekick witch later." And so Gregor started to tell her about Original vampires, doppelgangers, and the Sun and the Moon curse and unlike the others he told her his personal history with the subjects.

Amelia had decided to take a personal day after being kidnapped so it was only La Mai with Gregor when he went to the boarding house uninvited.

"Telling them about Klaus Rose-Marie?" Gregor questioned as he walked in with La Mai right behind him.

"Who are you?" Rose questioned.

"That's-" Elena started to say to be interrupted by Gregor.

"Gregor Petrov. But since that name won't mean anything to you, I'll tell you that I usually go by Anton Kostov."Rose's eyes widened in surprise and fear. She had heard of Anton Kostov. He left a lot of blood in his path. Those who failed him, disappointed him, or betrayed him almost always without fail ended up dead or disappeared, never to be heard from again. "Calm down. I can see you looking at the door to run but you can't leave anyway. The sun's up. So unless you wanna burn to a crisp…" He trailed off.

Rose sighed, "I was just about to tell them when you walked in." Gregor and La Mai both sat on the couch next to Elena and Stefan. "Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years. I don't know what's true and what's not. It's the problem with all this vampire crap, but Klaus, I know he's real."

"Uh," Elena started unsurely, "Who's he?"

"He's one of the originals, a legend." Damon answered. It was obvious he didn't believe it though.

"From the first generation of vampires." Stefan added.

"Like Elijah?"

"No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Rose contradicted.

"Klaus is known to be the oldest." Stefan said to which Gregor scoffed. They all turned and looked at him.

"First off Klaus isn't the oldest. And second, I personally think Elijah is a lot more dangerous than Klaus." Gregor said, "With Klaus, you know what you're getting but Elijah can make you forget he's a vampire until he rips out your heart. Not to mention the man looks for loopholes in every agreement he makes."

Elena was still processing, "Wait, Gregor this is what you wanted to talk about after Katherine was dealt with, isn't it?"

"Yes." Gregor nodded.

"He was gonna tell you after but Rose kind of kidnapped you and Amelia before he could." La Mai spoke up for the first time since entering the room.

"Okay, so you're saying one of the oldest vampires in the history of time is coming after me?" Elena asked for clarification.

Rose said yes at the same time Stefan said no.

"What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true.."

"Which it is." Rose piped up.

"And you're not saying it so I don't kill you."

"Which I'm not."

"Then we're looking at a solid maybe." Damon finished.

"Damon, Rose is over 500 years old. She could kill you faster than you could blink." La Mai said, rolling her eyes, "She doesn't need to make up some story to stop you from killing her. She'd just kill you herself." Rose gave a grateful smile at La Mai for saying what she'd been thinking while Damon ignored her.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right?" Stefan started as reassurance, "So no one knows that you even exist."

"Not that you know of." Rose said.

"You're not helping." Damon glared at her.

Stefan ignored them both, "I've never even met someone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't even know if he's real. For all we know he could be some stupid bed time story."

Gregor cleared his throat. "This is where I take over. I know more than Rose does."

"You know more?" Elena asked.

"Yes. I'm gonna start off by saying that Elijah isn't a foot soldier. He's an original and he isn't dead."

"You staked him." Damon said, "I saw him turn grey and die."

"To an original, a wooden stake to the heart is like snapping their neck. I can guarantee you that Elijah is alive and walking around right now." Gregor said unfazed.

"How do you know?" Stefan asked disbelievingly, "I've never heard of a vampire that survives being staked through the heart."

"I've staked an original vampire before and they were up and running around a century later. Now about Klaus, he's real. Rose-Marie and I have both laid eyes on him before."

"You know Klaus?" Elena questioned confusedly.

"Yes and no. I knew him when I was human. I haven't seen him face to face since then though."

"And when were you human?" Rose asked curiously.

Gregor smiled, "A very long time ago. I was turned into a vampire in 1001."

Damon groaned, "No wonder you can easily manhandle me."

"You're over a thousand?" Elena breathed in disbelief. She didn't think there were any vampires that old but then again Gregor had mentioned a vampire that was over 900 so she shouldn't be surprised.

"We still don't know if Klaus is real." Stefan insisted, ignoring everything Gregor had said.

"I just told you he's real, you idiot." Gregor said annoyedly, "I don't like my word being doubted. I have no reason to lie."

"He's real." Rose said in agreement with Gregor

"If he wants something he doesn't give up." La Mai claimed, "If you aren't afraid of him, then you're dumbasses."

"Alright we're shaking," Damon said sarcastically, "You made your point?"

Elena suddenly got up and grabbed her bag.

"Where are you going?"

School. I'm late."

Let me grab my stuff, I'll go with you" Stefan offered.

"It's okay, I know where it is." She almost slammed the door on her way out.

"She's in denial." Damon whispered to Rose

""Shut up, Damon." Stefan retorted before getting up and leaving.

Gregor hummed in amusement before blurring forwards and slamming Rose into a wall with his forearm on her throat and his hand in her chest, gripping her heart. La Mai snapped Damon's neck so he wouldn't interfere. "Now Rose, you get one warning. You lay a hand on either of my daughters again and I'll tear you to pieces." He squeezed her heart, making her gasp, "Are we understood?"

"Yes." Rose gasped out. Gregor removed his hand from her chest cavity and let go of her while grabbing a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe off the blood. "I'm sorry." Rose said sincerely.

"We are all good now. See you later." Gregor gave a little wave and walked out of the house with La Mai following.

"So…" La Mai smirked, "Tristan's influence?" She gestured to the handkerchief.

"Shut up, brat." Gregor rolled his eyes before affectionately nudging her, "You have a place to be today."

"Yeah I know." She grumbled before blurring off leaving Gregor chuckling.

"Hello Slater." La Mai greeted the young vampire.

"La Mai…" Slater started to say cautiously, "What are you doing here?"

"Time to pack your bags. Two people are on their way to talk to you today about Klaus and the sun and the moon curse." La Mai reached into her jacket pocket pulling two earrings, "Gregor decided to be generous. Here is your daylight jewelry. People are less likely to notice earrings than a ring or bracelet."

Slater took the earrings gingerly, looking at them in awe. He quickly put them on, "Pack my bags and then what?"

"You'll tell those two people what you were instructed to by Amelia then you'll make your way to New Orleans and find Thierry. He'll have further instructions for you." La Mai turned to walk away before she stopped, "Oh yeah. One of those people is your friend Rose-Marie. You better not screw this up and tell her more than she needs to know. Remember we made you. We can just as easily destroy you."

Slater nodded vigorously, "Of course. I won't let you guys down. Not after you gave me daylight jewelry."

"Good." La Mai left Slater's apartment right as he got a phone call from Rose-Marie asking him to meet at the Café.

A couple hours later, La Mai made an impulsive decision when she saw Elijah across the street from the Café. She approached right after he broke the glass on the windows and caused everyone to flee "Hello Elijah. Long time no see." She greeted him with a playful smile. She cursed that she made such a stupid mistake but she'd seen his eyes follow Slater as he fled the Café, and fortunately for Slater, he was useful to her family and so she was obligated to keep him alive for now. Plus, Amelia would be upset to lose on of her toys. Since encountering Elijah, La Mai had taken to carrying vervain in the back pockets of her pants as a fail safe for preventing compulsion. La Mai wasn't stupid enough to think Elijah would let her leave so, she'd have to take one for the team and let herself be bled out of vervain and pretend to be compelled, unless he surprised her and let her leave. La Mai knew exactly how to keep herself from being killed by him, or so she hoped. Though she was loathe to admit it, she also approached Elijah because she was curious about the man her father thought to be the most dangerous of the originals when most thought it to be Klaus or Kol. None of her plans or thoughts stopped the fear that gripped her as she stood next to the man though, after all she knew that while she was an ancient and powerful vampire in her own right, Elijah simply outmatched her and could kill her rather quick.

"La Mai." Elijah stated, "How lovely to see you again after you helped shove a stake through my heart. Tell me, who exactly shoved that stake through my heart?"

La Mai smiled, "Well that would be telling but what I will tell you is that it was easier than I thought to distract you." She casually threw in the insult. She cursed herself in her head Insult an Original vampire. How smart of you Mai.

"I'm still curious as to why the Strix is concerning itself with the matter of the doppelganger and the sun and the moon curse." Elijah said, stepping closer before grabbing her arm and dragging her away from the populated streets. When they were alone and away from any witnesses he let go of her.

La Mai scoffed, "Thanks for dragging me someplace without my permission. As for the Strix, I'm not a member. I had just received an invitation to join and was deciding when we encountered one another in 1453." She crossed her arms, "You don't have to worry, Tristan De Martel has nothing to do with why I'm here."

"Then why exactly are you here?" Elijah questioned as he leaned against a brick wall, "Or more specifically what stake do you have in protecting the doppelganger."

"Elena."

Elijah blinked looking at her in confusion.

"Her name is Elena, not doppelganger. I won't say she's the best person but she sure is better than Katerina which makes her alright in my book and worth more than being dehumanized by calling her the doppelganger rather than her name." La Mai said leaning back against the opposite brick wall in the alley way. "As to why I'm protecting her, I'm doing it because my sire and father want her protected right now."

"Your father?" Elijah said taking in the new information and filing away that she knew Katerina, "Someone I know?"

"Yes. You two knew each other centuries ago." La Mai pushed herself off the wall, "Now this has been fun but I gotta run. See you later." La Mai made to leave but she unfortunately didn't leave fast enough. Elijah blurred forward and snapped her neck, picking her up and taking her with him. La Mai had information he needed and he couldn't let her leave until he had said information. If only he knew that La Mai expected this to happen.

He never went to find Slater due to La Mai distracting him once again and Slater never called Rose about having a witch de-spell the moonstone. Slater was gone from Richmond that night and on his way to New Orleans to see Thierry Vanchure-Petrov.

Caroline and Amelia sat in Gregor's house eating junk food and watching Netflix.

"What's it like?" Caroline asked curiously.

"What?" Amelia asked, confused, while taking a bite of pizza.

"Living for hundreds of years." Caroline clarified, "It's just Gregor said in 200 years I'll still look the same while both my friends will have turned to dust so I wanted to know. What's it like?"

"Boring." Amelia deadpanned. It really did get boring after awhile in all honestly. She would have tossed herself into the sun if it wasn't for her family.

"I'm being serious." Caroline complained, "What's it like?"

"I'm not screwing with you Caroline." Amelia rolled her eyes before explaining, "It really is boring. All we can really do is try to have fun, spend time with those we love, kill people out of boredom, get drunk a lot, and have lots of sex. And learn new things. I've been to college a number of times. I look to old to go to high school though"

"Well what have you done over the centuries to not be bored?" Caroline asked.

"Hmm, let me think." Amelia mused, "I've been a pirate, a slave liberator, nurse, madam, killer for hire, paramedic, stripper, and many other things. That's just what I remember off the top of my head."

"That's a lot." Caroline said, before scrunching her eyes in disbelief, "Wait you were a stripper?"

"Yeah back in the 80s." The dark-skinned vampire shrugged, "I was bored. Being a stripper is actually hard, you know. Dancing on a pole wasn't as easy as it looked."

"And you were a pirate?"

"Yeah throughout the 1600s. Look up Bloody Captain Amelia Gallows. I was pretty famous and feared on the seven seas." She commented while inspecting her nails.

"Amelia, you've had lots of sex before right?" Caroline started again fifteen minutes later while the next episode of Criminal Minds started.

"Are you calling me a whore?" Amelia deadpanned, voice devoid of humor.

Caroline furiously shook her head, "No! No! I-I just-" She cut herself off when she saw Amelia shaking in laughter. "I hate you!"

"Sorry. I couldn't resist." Amelia wiped a fake tear from her eye, "But yeah I'll say I've had lots of sex over the last 400 or so years. Why?"

"I just wanted to know who was your best?" Caroline asked, face turning red in embarrassment as she just started to realize what she was asking.

Amelia grinned in mischief, "Oh well let me tell you the best I've been with would have to be either Kol or Shen."

"Wait Kol? As in the original vampire Kol?" Caroline asked in exasperation.

"Yeah. We knew each other in the early 1900s and he was really good in bed." Amelia wiggled her eyebrows.

"Why am I not surprised?" Caroline said playfully, "Wait, isn't he supposed to be a psychotic maniac?"

Amelia smiled sheepishly, "I guess I'm kind of attracted to brutal and powerful vampires. It's kind of my thing."

"Great, now I'm kind of worried about this other dude, but oh well tell me about this Shen guy." Caroline said while grabbing more chips.

"Shen Min. He is kind of a psycho too I guess. He is around 800 years old and was the torture consultant for Genghis Khan when he was human." Amelia started to which Caroline rolled her eyes.

"Of course."

"Anyway he's known as "The Red Sorrow" in the vampire community. Lots of people are afraid of him and he's kinda obsessed with me now." Amelia finished.

"He's obsessed with you?" Amelia nodded in confirmation. "Well is he at least good in bed?"

"Good enough that I've been sleeping with him continuously since 1756, I believe it was." Amelia admitted.

"Really, when's the last time you slept with him?" Caroline leaned forward, "C'mon give your friend the tea."

"What tea?" Amelia questioned looking around in confusion.

"Never mind that!" Caroline waved her hand leaning forward in anticipation. "Answer the question."

"Two days before I came to Mystic Falls." She admitted.

Caroline laughed "Oh my god! I kind of want to meet him if he's so good that you keep sleeping with him but after what you said, he sounds scary."

Amelia scoffed. "He's scary alright but he wouldn't hurt you because I like you, not to mention Dad would rip out his heart." Her uncle might be a little annoyed but would turn his head the other way most likely. Or she hoped. It was terrible when her father and uncle fought. It led to a lot of broken things and dead humans. "Now tell me about your best, Care"

And that was how the day passed for Caroline and Amelia, free of any supernatural drama or problems.

Elena still managed to find a way to talk to Katherine even without Caroline covering for her since she wasn't answering her phone.

"So how much of your little story is true?"

"I have no reason to lie, Elena." Katherine scoffed, didn't she see her stuck in this tomb with nothing to do but dessicate?, "I have nothing to do but sit here and read and rot."

"Okay, assuming that your story is even partially true, that's why you came back isn't it? To hand me over to Klaus, I'm assuming to make some kind of deal?" Elena asked.

Katherine shrugged, "500 years on the run, I figured he'd be willing to strike a deal."

"So you got Mason Lockwood to find you the moonstone."

"Right again."

"What else do you need to break the curse?"

"Ooh look who's getting smarter." Katherine mocked.

"It's not just me or the stone is it? Otherwise there'd be no reason to trigger Tyler Lockwood's werewolf curse."

"Witches and their spells. So many ingredients, so many people to sacrifice." Katherine commented as she turned a page in her family lineage book.

"So you need a werewolf?" Elena wanted clarification.

"Believe it or not, they are hard to come by."

"What else?"

"A witch to do a spell. Mine bailed, but Bonnie will do just fine."

"There's something else isn't there?"

"A vampire."

Elena sighed, "Caroline."

"It could have been anyone but I liked the poetry of Caroline." Katherine said, "But I doubt Caroline will be in danger now. Not with Gregor caring about her enough to threaten me. He has many powerful friends and is extremely powerful himself."

"So you were just gonna hand us all over to be killed?" Elena asked in disbelief.

"Better you die than I." Katherine turned to walk back into the tomb.

"Wait, How do you know Gregor?"

Katherine turned back with a smirk on her face, "Seems like you don't trust him as much as I thought."

"I just want to hear what you have to say." Elena said firmly.

"Well another long story but I'll sum it up to save time." Katherine shrugged, "We met in 1512 in Prague. He was drawn by my face. The face we both share with his sister. He taught me how to survive and I thought he liked me, of course La Mai never liked me. Guess she was jealous that I might be stealing her father. We stayed together until 1526. That year he turned cold. Did a complete 180 on his personality and attitude towards me. Next thing I know La Mai almost kills me and Gregro stopped her and told me to grab my things and leave. Haven't seen either of them since but I've heard about what they have been doing as I had been keeping tabs on them." She stretched before continuing, "I was surprised that they both came to town without me knowing. Before I came to Mystic Falls, La Mai was in Japan, Gregor was in France, and his other two Amelia and Thierry were both in New Orleans. All that's missing is one."

"That's it?" Elena asked incredulously, "You're not going to tell me anything else?"

Katherine rolled her eyes. "No Elena, I'm not. My past with Gregor is exactly that. My Past. I don't have to share it if I don't want to. If you want to know so bad then ask Gregor," She smiled wickedly, "Provided you trust him of course."

Katherine turned and walked back into the tomb leaving Elena standing alone.

"Good, you're awake." Was what greeted La Mai when she woke up. She was tied to a chair in a basement of some sorts. Why did every vampire have some kind of freaky dungeon? She pulled at her restraints but to no avail. "You and I are going to have a little chat." Fear gripped her heart at Elijah's words. No matter how confident she acted, she was still smart enough to fear an original vampire. I was so stupid! I never should have approached him. Slater isn't worth my life. I think I might be in over my head.

"You can't make me tell you anything." She shook her head definitely, "You're going to make a lot of enemies if you torture me."

"Torture you?" Elijah spoke incredulously, "That is rather barbaric." He looked forward and looked La Mai in the eye with his pupils dialating, "Tell me everything you know about Elena Gilbert, your connection to the Strix, and your sire and father."

"I'm on vervain." La Mai laughed in dark amusement, "You can't compel me." Calm down La Mai, just stick to the plan. You can take this. You've been through worse.

"I see. Then unfortunately this will turn more unpleasant for you as I now have to bleed you of the vervain in your system."

The screaming started not long after.

And Review.

That wraps up this chapter. Slater is still alive! La Mai got kidnapped. Amelia and Caroline had a girl's day which explored a little more into Amelia's past and her relationships. And who knows what Gregor is doing right now lol
What do you think will happen next? Is Elijah going to kill La Mai? Will Gregor rescue her in time? Will Elijah and Gregor finally meet officially for the first time in a 1000 years?

And yeah La Mai was easily kidnapped because she might be 676 years old but compared to an original she was simply outmatched. Yeah she made a stupid decision to talk to Elijah but that's because she isn't perfect. Now with the originals coming into play you guys will start to see Gregor, La Mai, and Amelia be on the lesser end of the power scale for once. They might have appeared really strong with how easily they dealt with Stefan, Damon, and Katherine, but out of them only Gregor has a chance to beat an original power wise and even then they will still be stronger than him so Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah, Kol, Finn, and Mikeal could technically manhandle Gregor. They would just have to actually put effort into it unlike when they were up against the Salvatore brothers. And even Katherine could be an actual threat is she outsmarts them and technically she is stronger than Amelia who is only 466 to Katherine's 500+ years. My point is powerful witches, experienced werewolves, and older vampires are all valid threats to them. Even a vampire like Stefan and Damon could be a threat if they caught them off guard technically.

And I've talked enough see you guys next chapter.
