Chapter 47

"How I've missed you beautiful." Emma stated while stealing another kiss from luscious lips.

"I also missed you my love, Emma…"

"I know, you want to see Henry and Aileen." She said and kissed Regina's forehead "I'm going to call my parents and ask them to bring our kids tomorrow morning."

"Thank you." And she pulled the blonde closer and stole another passionate kiss.

Their kiss was interrupted by Dr. Whale who came running into the room, both women looked at him and they couldn't help but laugh at the shock on his face.

"Very funny ladies, someday you will give me a heart attack, I could feel the curse breaking, I just came to check on my patient." He explained as he approached the bed.

While he examined Regina, Emma couldn't help but ask "Whale, when we broke Regina's curse did Michael wake up?"

"No, unfortunately he did not wake, I stopped by his room first because I knew you ladies would need a little privacy." He said teasingly.

Moving away from the brunette's bed Emma said "So, I'm going to call my mom and stop them all from coming here in the middle of the night and…"

She hadn't even finished her sentence when she heard Henry screaming "Mom…" and the boy basically flew onto the bed and into Regina's arms.

Hugging him tight and letting her tears flow she whispered against the top of his head "My little prince, I missed you so much, I love you my beautiful boy."

"I love you too mom." He said while hiding his face in the crook of her neck.

At the door were David, Snow and Purple that was holding a sleeping Aileen, all five adults had tears in their eyes. Cleaning his eyes Whale said "From what I checked everything looks fine but I would like to keep you overnight."

Regina simply nodded at him, no point in arguing. Whale reached for his pocket and gave Regina the photo he had taken before they had left the hospital in that fatidic day where everything went wrong.

"Thank you Whale." She smiled and gave the photo to Emma who after looking at it placed it on her pocket.

As he was about to leave, he said "Look at that picture or think of it before placing yourself in arms way again and ladies please try and avoid any more curses that may cross your path." And he closed the door, giving the family some privacy.

After kissing his mom's cheek, Henry sat beside her. Purple received a nod from the little boy and she reached for Regina's face with her left hand and caressed her lovingly "My princess, I can't tell you how happy I am to have you back, I knew Emma would bring you back to us." She kissed her little princess forehead and she placed Aileen in her open waiting arms.

"Oh, my baby girl how I've missed you." Taking hold of her little hand she kissed it and held her daughter close to her chest as the tears kept on falling. She rubbed her nose against Aileen's short baby hair and inhaled her daughter's scent.

Raising her head she looked at every member of her family that was surrounding her bed "I love each and every one of you, don't ever forget that and thank you for all your love and care during the time I was under the curse, I want you to know that I heard all you said to me during that time and I will never forget it."

TWO HOURS LATER

Regina, Henry and Aileen were sleeping peacefully being watched by the rest of the family members who couldn't make themselves go home and rest, they were all so happy.

"Emma do you know if Michael…"

"No mom, he didn't."

"Why?" David asked.

"Jefferson's curse is pretty specific dad, he cursed their hearts, so to break the curse I had to kiss Regina's heart, so the only way to bring him back is to have the twins kiss his heart."

"Those twins have been through so much and now this." Snow shook her head, she felt so powerless.

"Well if you want, I can talk to the twins, explain everything." Purple offered.

"Thank you, I would appreciate that." Emma smiled and took the fairy's hand into her own squeezing it.

"I will go with you Purple and talk to Grumpy and Nova, they have grown attached to them." David added.

"Well, I will go and get everything ready at the house for when Regina goes home tomorrow." Snow said and got off the chair she was occupying.

Emma smiled at them all "Thank you for all that you have done these last couple of weeks, thank you for your support."

"No need for that, we all did it because we love you, we love our family and we are here to help one another in the good and in the bad times." Snow said and placed a tender kiss on Emma's forehead.

"Ok." David got up and continued "Time to go home and get some rest ladies, tomorrow is going to be a long day."

"Your father is right." Purple agreed and got up too "Once we have spoken to the twins and their guardians, we will meet you here Emma."

"Ok, I will be waiting for you."

They said their goodbyes and Emma was left with her sleeping family and all she could feel was joy, they were finally all together again.

After hearing the knocking on the door Grumpy opened it and saw Charming and the Purple fairy "Good morning, what brings you here this early in the morning?"

"Grumpy, at least let them in, where are your manners?" Nova chastised him in her sweet tone of voice.

"Right, sorry, come in." he stepped away from the entrance and let his guests inside.

After they had all settled around the small kitchen table David finally said "We bring news about Michael."

"We felt the wave last night, we were hoping to have a little more time with the twins." Nova said sadly.

"What you felt last night was Emma breaking the curse that surrounded Regina's heart, to break Michael's curse we need the twins to kiss his heart, we know this is asking much and they still are children but they are their father's true love, since he doesn't have a spouse." Purple explained as gently as she could, as she saw Grumpy embracing a teary-eyed Nova.

From the kitchen door they heard two small voices "We will do it."

Looking in that direction the four adults saw the children with tears in their eyes, Gretel ran towards Nova who hugged her as tightly as she could as the girl whispered against her stomach "I don't want you to leave us."

"Oh honey, everything will be alright." Nova tried to reassure the girl at the same time as Hansel went to Grumpy who picked the boy up into his strong arms.

Purple looked at David and whispered "They have become too important for the twins, what will happen to Michael once he is awake?"

"I honestly don't know, I think that will be up to Emma and Regina to decide."

"We will get the twins ready so we can all go to the hospital." Nova said and the couple left the kitchen each with a child in their arms.

"This is breaking my heart." Purple said.

"They truly love Grumpy and Nova." David ran his hand through his hair and added "This is going to be so hard."

Forty minutes later they were all in the hospital entrance "So I'm going to call Emma and she will meet us in your father's room ok?"

"Wait." Gretel asked and looked at her brother, after a few seconds of silent conversation she added looking at David "Can we see Miss Regina first?"

"Ah, sure, of course, let's go then." He looked confused at the request but saw no arm in it.

Once they got to Regina's room Henry almost barreled against them as he was exiting the room "Hey guys."

"Hi Henry." The twin said in unison.

"What are you doing here?" he asked curiously.

"We wanted to speak with your mother." Hansel answered seriously.

"Oh, that's ok, I guess." Turning back, he said "Mom you've got visitors."

Looking at the door Regina saw the twins and smiled "Let them in." Getting Emma's attention, she asked "Love can you leave me alone with the twins?"

Raising her eyebrow and looking at Regina Emma finally nodded and walked towards the door "Let's go everyone, let's give them some privacy, so who wants breakfast? I'm starving."

"Me too Ma, let's go."

Seeing the concerned look on Grumpy and Nova's face Purple said "Don't worry everything will turn out alright."
