Reinhard meets the Witches...the king of monsters meets the ancient monsters...wait I might need to change that...Godzilla's lawyers might be on me for using that title...wait for a second...Godzilla...I should write that one down.

Either way enjoy the story...and if anyone has fanarts of drunk Satella or drunk Emilia recolored please send them to me on discord...I have a server link at the bottom. Also send me Pizza delivery boy Reinhard...now why I am getting ideas of Satella as cashier for burger joint. Oh right...Devil is a part timer...i should really watch that...well later for now.

Reinhard Van Astrea was well known as being one of, if not the strongest Sword Saint to live. His raw power alone was a sight to behold as the entire world working together could only even equal a fraction of his abilities. He was unaffected by all forms of magic, would revive upon death, and could even grow more powerful regardless of it was day or night, if he were armed or unarmed, bleeding or being unscathed. He was the epitome of power in this world. It was easy for anyone with sufficient knowledge to claim him as the most powerful being in the world.

Satella, known better as the Witch of Envy, was the strongest of all the Witches of Sin. She was the Devil incarnate to this world, a being so feared, to speak her name was taboo. Many believed her to be the source of all the Demonic Creatures that roamed the world. The shadows that clothed her had also been used for her to devour the World only to be barely stopped by three Legendary heroes. Despite being hindered, the Witch was immortal, she could neither be killed nor would her body be withered by time. She was eternal, her mastery over time and space allowing her to reset her world as well as reach her shadowy claws into worlds beyond the known mortals, all while sealed away.

These two were considered the peaks of all that was Good and Evil to this World. The Sword Saint, the great hero, Reinhard who wielded the very will of the world itself within him. The Witch of Envy, Satella, the Devil who was starved of loved and desired to destroy the world to feed on the suffering and despair of those who lived. Each had a following of sorts, Reinhard had the Kingdom of Luginica, and the world itself supporting him, Satella had the Witch cult.

Many would have believed that should these two opposing forces collide, the World would be destroyed in the battle, as neither would win against the other. However, no one truly knew either force, The Sword Saint and the Witch of Envy, were names know far and wide, but the true essence of these individuals, Reinhard and Satella, were not.

Reinhard sought the Witch of Envy out. Not with his first intention being to slay her for the good of the world. No, it was far more personal. He had gone behind his friend's back, stolen his metia, and had invaded his privacy. He had done it all because he felt his friend was at risk. It was not for the good of the world he had done this, it was for his own selfish desire of hoping to not lose his friend. To not see him be ensnared by the Devil. The Sword Saint though, never expected to witness what was before him.

He had found himself in what could only be described as a place of pure tranquillity. The world around him consisted of nothing more than green grassy hills stretching out as far as the eye could see. The sky above was a perpetual afternoon, blue with various white clouds scatter about making for one of the most peaceful views he had ever witness. This was not the type of world he was expecting to find when the shadows swallowed him, his mind had conjured a world of everlasting darkness, death, and decay, not a peaceful light-filled world.

He wandered for a few moments till he found the centerpiece of it all. A small structure sat in the middle of it all. The architecture was something he had never seen before, but it gave off a very…homely feel. It looked like a small cottage of sorts or maybe an inn. The type of place where a family would just settle down. As he walked forward, he could make out the name of the building from a sign nearby. Though it was different language than any he had seen he understood the meaning of the words 'Natsuki's Residence'. It was a place Subaru had considered home.

As he approached the building, he was about to knock on the door but something in his Od, perhaps a DP, had told him not to. Instead, he noticed a little button protruding from the side of the door. He pushed it, hearing a noise, like a bell ringing. He heard footsteps move from behind the door with mentions of 'Pizza' or something before the door opened. Before him was a fairly attractive woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing strange white clothes. He was about to speak but the woman spoke first. "Son of a Reid," She had screamed before slamming the door in his face.

Reinhard was left slightly stunned at the woman who mentioned his ancestor. Sensing movement to the side he turned to what he assumed was a window with glass on it. The drapes that had been hanging moved aside to reveal several individuals, adults and children alike who were staring at him, all ladies except for Subaru. He merely waved in an attempt to not seem threatening to them. He sincerely hoped it worked.

After a few moments of waiting the door opened once more, a young woman in an ebony black dress with hair whiter than snow was standing before him. She had a mischievous smile on her face as she gestured for him to come inside. Reinhard had people shout what he had assumed was her name before the door open but now there was silence. Once inside Reinhard could feel the familiar tense atmosphere around him.

The interior was just as unique as the exterior. Strange contraptions were all around him alongside the one-of-a-kind décor. The inhabitants were equally surprising. An older woman was laying on the couch covered in a blanket, she didn't look sick in the slightest, merely absolved in laziness. The woman who slammed the door in his face was staring wrathfully at the one who had opened it the white-haired lady having a greedy grin on her face. At the table, one girl was indulging in food like a glutton while merely watching him with a hunger hidden behind her blindfold. Beside her, another little girl stared at him with a prideful look in her pink eyes. Another woman who was wearing a lot of layers of clothes trembling as she watched him, she seemed to lust to be anywhere but here.

The last two inhabitants in the roam were the most familiar. It was Subaru and Emilia….at least he thought so at first. The woman had a jealous feeling around her. She was standing protectively in front of Subaru. Her amethyst eyes looked…afraid… that Reinhard would take him.

Subaru meanwhile had a mixture of emotions on his face. Shock, dread, panic…despair…were to name a few. His friend looked as if he was seeing death before him expecting the worse to come. Reinhard frowned, he didn't mean to give that impression. However, he had to be strong, he needed to assure Subaru everything was going to be alright while he dealt with the individuals here. Surprisingly though not one of them moved to attack. They were seeing him as hostile, but they weren't acting on it. Perhaps they could be reasoned with…as ridiculous as it sounded?

"Subaru…I'm sorry to interrupt," Reinhard admitted. It was a truth; he did not expect to see Subaru when he came to contact the Witch. He never would have guessed the connection was so strong where the Witch and Subaru would casually exist. It made him more anxious at the idea of his friend being a cultist or worse…an archbishop.

"How…how did you get here, Reinhard?" Subaru asked weakly. Reinhard looked down ashamed. He let out a sigh as he pondered in the next words.

"Well, you see…" Reinhard trailed off as he began explaining.

"So, you were following me because you were worried for me," Subaru repeated as Reinhard finished. The group was now sitting around the living room. None of the other inhabitants had said anything leaving only Subaru and Reinhard to speak.

"Yes… I was…you were being very secretive, and I feared you might do some reckless stunt and hurt yourself," Reinhard informed. "However, I had overheard you speaking with some people from Lady Emilia's camp, and then I heard you mention…" his eyes trailed off to a half-elf who was still keeping her gaze on him. She was a dark copy of Ms. Emilia but her gaze rather than be innocent was filled with violent protective intent. "The Witch's name…even more so I heard her voice among many others," He added.

"I knew we should have used code names, and a burner phone," The blindfolded girl sighed as she ate some popcorn.

Reinhard had yet to inquire about the guests surrounding him. He could feel the power they had…it was far greater than most he had encountered, though it was still nothing he could handle. The exception being the half-elf whose powers were probably just below his. He had no doubt in his mind now who that was, but she had yet to make any moves and as such neither would he.

"If we are doing code names, can I be Ms. Piggy?" The smallest one asked.

"You want to be named after a Muppet, Ty Ty?" The blindfolded one asked.

"What? No, I wanted to be the Ms. Piggy to Mr. Pig," Ty Ty explained.

"Now is not the time you two," The blonde scolded. "We still have more important things to deal with," She said as she cast an aside glance to Reinhard who was still staring at them with some confusion. He had figured out Satella but he didn't know about the others.

"Minerva is such a stick in the mud," Typhon said as blew a raspberry to the blonde.

"Why you!" Minerva said as she was about to stand up when an invisible presence held her to her seat.

"I thought you said we had something important to deal with, don't go being a hypocrite now," Sekhmet said smugly.

"And how exactly do you all plan to deal with me?" Reinhard asked curiously.

"Why by talking and hoping you appeal to reasoning of course." The white-haired woman answered. All the witches could feel the surplus of power that existed within Reinhard. No one, not even Satella was stupid enough to challenge that. Maybe if Subaru wasn't at risk Satella would act impulsively but when it came to boys from another world…Echidna was sure the girl was actually trying her best to squeeze out any use from that empty head of hers.

"Huh," Reinhard said. They wanted to…. talk.

"The Sword Saint does know about diplomacy right and negotiating without violence," Echidna giggled nonchalantly. Reinhard nodded his head. Everyone else was still rather lost with what the Greedy Witch was planning. "Why don't we start with the introductions first?" Echidna chided. Satella had turned her glare from Reinhard to Echidna now.

"Okay…my name is Reinhard Van Astrea and I am the current Sword Saint and appointed knight to Lady Felt," Reinhard introduced himself.

"My name is Echidna…but most know me by my title 'The Witch of Greed'," Echidna introduced herself. Reinhard's eyes had widened to her title but he kept his calm much to their relief. Echidna then turned to the others gesturing for them to go next.

"Oh let me go next…let me go next," Typhon said eagerly. "My name is Typhon and I'm the Witch of Pride," She smiled. Reinhard looked surprised that such a small child could be a witch. He was even suspected she was a shapeshifter but no…the child form was her actual form.

"I …munch… am …. munch …. Daphne…munch…the…munch…Witch…. munch… of… munch… Gluttony," Daphne informed while chewing and something, she had just finished her popcorn and was now eating something else. "Pizza," She offered. Reinhard cautiously took a slice from what she had been eating. It was a really flat piece of bread with cheese and tomato paste on top as well a variety of other toppings, chopped vegetables, fruits, meat, and mushrooms. He took a bite and while he didn't feel anything wrong it was admittedly tasty.

"I…I'm the Witch of Lust…Carmilla," The pale pink-haired woman announced. Reinhard could tell she was still a little scared of him, so he tried to seem as harmless as possible. He would admit he wouldn't have expected her to be Lust. He thought Lust would be more…yeah, he was going to stop that thought here.

"I'm Sekmet," A voice yawned. Reinhard noticed a woman still lying on one of the couches with a tired expression on her face.

"The Witch of Sloth," He assumed. She merely smiled and nodded a yes before resting her head back down. Her eyes never leaving the group despite how relaxed she became.

There were only two individuals left, Reinhard realized. He turned his head to the blonde woman he had first seen when the door opened. She was staring at him with her own mixture of emotions although hers were differing from Subaru. She seemed to have some mixture of sadness to them. "My name is Minerva, the Witch of Wrath," she said calmly. He had a feeling she wanted to say more but now was not the time.

It was the last Witch's turn and though he felt she didn't need an introduction he still waited for her to speak, and she did. "My name is Satella; although you may prefer my other titles: Witch of Envy, the half-elf half devil, the world-destroyer," Satella trailed off.

"So, you really are the Witch of Envy," Reinhard said. He had been hoping…really, he was. He wanted to be wrong so much. However unfortunately he wasn't.

"Yes, I am, and you are the Sword Saint," Satella said bitterly. Her eyes traveled to the Dragon Sword and Reinhard's waist. "If you intend to hurt Subaru, you'll have to do it over my dead body," She hissed.

"Hurt Subaru…I would never," Reinhard responded. He was taken aback by the Witch's defensive stance. Reinhard encountered Witch cult members before and admittedly he was required to execute some at the time or witness the execution but he never saw or felt any disturbance. So why was Subaru so different. "I've only come here because I feared my friend was in danger," he told the Witches.

"Well, he isn't," Satella snapped. "So, you can leave," She told him.

"That may be true…I still need to know what is going on here," Reinhard pointed out. Ordinarily, he would agree to peaceful outcomes and let bygones be bygones if no one was to be harmed. However, his friend was in the presence of 7 Witches including the Witch of Envy. There was no reasonable way Reinhard was leaving without a fight.

"Well…it's a really complicate the story," Subaru laughed, although internally he was freaking out a hundred times a second.

"Then summarize it as simply as possible for me," Reinhard said gently.

"Okay…well….um…" Subaru looked to the Witches but none of them were responding. They all cast them a glance that said, 'you're on your own for this one', well except Echidna. She was smiling brightly at him as she gestured for him to speak. "I…was in some trouble a long time ago… like really bad trouble and I made a contract with the Witches of Sin," Subaru answered.

Subaru had said it all in one go and then immediately braced himself. He ripped the bandage right off for it. Now he was just waiting for the cold feeling of death's embrace and for Satella to pull him back to wherever the reset point had been set this time. Surprisingly though it never came. When he opened his eyes though he found Reinhard looking lost in thought, with a sorrowful expression on his face.

Reinhard played the words over in his head a few times. Subaru trying to understand it. Subaru had gotten in trouble and had made a contract with the Witches of Sin. Any normal person would have been livid at this, it would be considered heresy, treason among many other crimes. However, Reinhard now felt guilty instead. He had failed yet another individual. Sure, he may not have known Subaru at the time, but it still weighed on him that someone as nice as Subaru had been in such a state where the only options of help were the Witches of all people. He truly was a failure. The worst of all monsters if even the Devil could offer help when Reinhard with his great power could not.

"I'm so sorry Subaru," He admitted. This caught everyone by surprise. They had expected him to be enraged…not whatever this was.

"Oh great…another self-conscious child we need to fix," Sekhmet thought as she stared at the Sword Saint. She recognized the signs immediately having lived through similar trials. He was someone crushed by expectations placed on him. He had all that power and was expected to act certain ways all the while the views others had, were tainted with jealousy, envy, and in some cases fear.

"Yeah…well…what's done is done, I suppose," Subaru admitted. "Besides it's not your fault if you didn't know," he told him.

"Still, I should have been there," Reinhard answered.

"Dude…you're only human…even you have limits…high as they might be," Subaru answered. Reinhard seemed to visibly be more relieved when Subaru reassure him however there were still the Witches in the room. One of which made it a habit to let off an obviously fake cough to get their attention.

"Oh right…forgive my emotional outburst," Reinhard apologized.

"Emotional…EMOTIONAL OUTBURST," Minerva shouted shaking the building. "You just looked mopey, and you called that an emotional outburst…have you actually ever let your emotions out before," Minerva asked furiously.

"So, getting back to the matter at hand," Reinhard said choosing to ignore the Witch and divert himself from the topic. Echidna had managed to muzzle Minerva at the time with Sekhmet's help, the blonde witch was glaring at the two of them before giving a glance to Reinhard that this conversation wasn't over.

"I assume you want to know about our contract with Subaru," Satella voiced.

"That I do," Reinhard answered.

"Okay…the long and short of it…Subaru needed our help in saving his loved ones and we agreed," Satella said.

"What are you getting from this?" Reinhard asked curiously. He didn't trust a deal with a Witch, especially the Witch of Envy of all people. "Destruction of the World, Revenge, World Domination, his soul," Reinhard asked as he listed out various prices.

"You listed almost every trope associated with Satella's supposed archetype and you were wrong every time," Daphne laughed. Satella's reputation had quite clearly been made out to be that of a Demon Lord…er…Lady or the Devil archetype to the general public, but Daphne would place her more on a sliding scale of yandere to 'I'm not worthy enough' given her tendencies and split personality, Overall Satella and Envy honestly didn't give one damn about the world, neither its destruction nor rule. Subaru was her world and nothing else.

"What we are getting is simple," Satella answered. "Echidna gets knowledge from Subaru's homeland. Typhon gets him to bring criminals like the Witch cult to justice, Minerva gets him saving people, Sekhmet gets Typhon being happy, Carmilla gets to watch his love life play out and Daphne gets the Demon Beasts destroyed as well as new things to indulge in," She listed off.

"Huh," was all Reinhard could say. That was surprisingly not what he was expecting. He was questioning if he heard right in the first place. They wanted to destroy the cult and the Demon Beasts, save people and knowledge. That was all unexpected. Yet he didn't feel the slightest bit of dishonesty in her words. "I'm sorry could you explain that again," He said just for clarification.

Satella repeated it once more and it was the same as before. They wanted the Cult and Demon Beasts dead. They wanted people saved. From Subaru, they wanted knowledge from his homeland, to watch his love life blossom and food. The Witches of Sin wanted something most other people would have desired as well, regular stuff. There was however one caveat to the whole thing.

"Witch of Envy…you told me what the others would get…but what are you getting from Subaru?" Reinhard asked Satella. He had what all the others wanted…now he needed to hear what she desired from this arrangement.

"What…I want?" Satella repeated. "I want Subaru to have his happy ending. To love himself, to care for himself, to enjoy the life he has, and to be loved. I want him to be safe and happy," Satella answered. "That's all I want,"

"Is that all? There is nothing else besides Subaru's happiness," Reinhard said in surprise.

"I want to be with him when he smiles and be the one to make him happy," she told the Sword Saint much to his surprise. Reinhard wasn't the only one though. Subaru himself was surprised by Satella's declaration. She cast Subaru a sad smile, knowing fully well she meant it. She just hoped it was enough to convince Reinhard.

"You're …not lying," Reinhard said in shock. The Witch of Envy, the embodiment of evil in the world, wanted his friend to be happy and to smile. That was all the Devil of their world wanted. For someone else to be happy and be loved. There was no malicious desire, no alternate intent for her action.

"So…are what do you intend to do now?" Echidna asked curiously. The tension was still present here.

"I'm not sure…" Reinhard answered before turning to Satella. "If what you say is true, then you intend to destroy your followers and the beasts you made," He summarized. "As a royal knight and the Sword Saint, I see nothing wrong with this."

"Except that's not my intention," Satella corrected.

"Excuse me," Reinhard said slightly taken aback.

"The Cult and the Demon Beasts, they aren't Satella's doing." Subaru quickly explained.

"They aren't," Reinhard blinked. The Witch-Cult that worshipped the Witch of Envy… wasn't her creation. "But don't they worship you? Are they not your followers?" he asked.

"If I went and theoretically tried to destroy a town and claimed I was doing it under the pretense of bringing glory to the name Reinhard Van Astea. Would people not assume it was your fault more so than mine?" Echidna asked the Sword Saint.

"I would deny it," Reinhard said.

"But what if you couldn't deny it…because you were supposedly sealed away," Echidna added. "People would assume it was still under your order. They would blame you more than me. To them I would just be some good-for-nothing follower…but you…you would be the leader. The man who called the attack," Echidna explained. "It's the same deal with the cult. The Witch of Envy has a reputation, the Cult uses the reputation to mask their vile acts, she gets blamed, and the Cult hides behind her false image,"

"So that's why you can hate the Cult but still be fond of the Witch," Reinhard realized as he looked at Subaru. The conflicting feelings were because the Cult and the Witch were not on the same side at all. Satella was a scapegoat for them.

"Yeah," Subaru answered. "Satella's actually helped quite a bit," He informed the Sword Saint. His own memories of her helping avoid those awful timelines being a huge part.

"What about the Demon Beasts?" Reinhard asked. The cult was made by a third party, so was the same through for the unholy creatures.

"Hehe…about that," Subaru laughed nervously. The former NEET and the witches soon turned to a certain blinded folded Loli. Daphne who had been in the middle of an ice cream sundae suddenly noticed the extra attention she was being given.

"Oh…it's my turn…" She said nonchalantly. "Yeah…Tella didn't make the Demon Beasts…that was my fault," Daphne said.

"You made those creatures," Reinhard repeated. "Why? Why did you make those things?" He asked her. He was about to speak again but she stopped him.

"I've already talked to Subaru so I know what you're going to say. Why did I make those creatures who have caused so much death? The answer is simple…I made them ease the hunger of the world. They were initially meant to be a food source. The White Whale is so massive that it could probably feed an entire town, and the Great Hare was virtually an infinite source of food." She told him. "And before you go one about how they don't solve anything…let me ask you this…do you think any of the meals you eat, like you back. The animals that slaughtered for when you dine…do you think they enjoy the idea of being raised to die? I found it was unfair that people didn't have to worry about being eaten so I made sure things went both ways," Daphne informed.

Reinhard looked at the Witch in shock, much like Subaru had done before when Daphne had the same question. He had been caught by the Witches reasoning. Animal cruelty was only ever seen when people were being cruel outside using them for food. Following the Witches logic she was right in a sense. Now that he thought about it…it mightn't have been worse when he accounted for the individuals who killed for sport. However much like Subaru, he realized the Witch was not looking at things with the morality of a human, she instead was using the instincts of an animal. Humans and Demon Beast were very different to regular animals.

"So the Demon Beasts…they eat to satiate hunger…not because they are meant to be destructive," Reinhard responded.

"That is correct for most of them…the black serpent is made mainly to kill…think of it as thinning the herd," She added.

"It killed innocent people," Reinhard countered.

"As a knight do you not kill or execute people and monsters regularly," She retorted. "You thin the herd, removing the excess which causes trouble. It is the same principle with the snake." She told him. "Besides…only the snake kills without hunger…everyone else either kills for food or because of self-defense, like when people organize whale hunts." The last line was almost elaborated on specifically.

"The Whale knows better than to appear by a kingdom it has a desire to live. If left alone it won't attack unless for food. It won't seek out humans actively, maybe if it stumbles by them have them as a snack but it's not going to go looking for people to eat," She pointed out. "Man…all this talk is making me hungry,"

"But the good news is that since no one eats the Demon Beasts because they taste awful and are more dangerous…Daphne has decided to remove them," Subaru informed. The discussion with Daphne about the Demon Beasts was probably a conversation that should have happened later…but oh well.

"You have," Reinhard continued.

"It's a waste of food on you all," Daphne said as she took out a plate of…noodles covered in more tomato paste. "If you…aren't going to eat…or even try to eat…gulp…I might as well have someone else enjoy the meal," She informed.

"I see," Reinhard answered. This was honestly a lot to take in for the Sword Saint. Had it not been for his DP he would have probably been hysterical about everything he had witnessed. A good bit of what he had been taught to believe had been proven false, still, he had some lingering feelings about the Witch.

"I have one last question," Reinhard told the Witch of Envy. Everyone stared at the duo curiously at what it could be.

"Did you truly attempt to destroy the World 400 years ago?" He asked. There was a silence in the room.

"Yes…Yes I did," Satella answered quietly.

There was a moment of silence before she continued.

"I don't regret it," She added. "What I did at the time was my choice, it was what I wanted to do so I don't regret it." She told him. "What I do regret was thinking it was the right choice…what I regret is how my actions impacted those around me," She continued.

At the time she had lost everything she held dear. She had been in so much pain and was consumed by her Envy and desire for revenge. Satella had figured since she had nothing left then it didn't matter anymore. She would destroy the world and then perhaps it would end. It didn't. She had been midway through her destruction when Flugel had revealed to her that Subaru could return as well as the others. She had calmed herself enough to see reason…only for Envy to appear and make things worse. It was no one's fault but her own and while she still didn't care for the World…Subaru did.

Satella had awakened a monster within that would have destroyed everything if left unchecked. It had cost her even more. She had to be seal to keep herself from being a danger. If Envy was allowed out without Subaru, the world wouldn't have remained. She wouldn't have gotten her second chance. She had Subaru and most of her family back. She didn't want to lose them again because she got reckless.

Satella had spent the better part of 400 years watching and listening to the twisted version of herself. She had grown to hate herself and see herself undeserving of Subaru. When he returned, she granted him RBD to help him, but her impulsiveness had once again caused problems. She didn't regret giving him RBD, she regretted not being there to help him when it traumatized him. She saw all this pain her beloved gone through as the final straw and was ready to give up living so he could be happy without her. Now she realized that wasn't enough.

She couldn't run away from the problems she caused Subaru. She had to help him solve them. Recently her impulsiveness had gotten in the way once more when they fought. It had caused tension between them, and she was still wondering how to fix it, but she still didn't regret what she said. She regretted not elaborating enough that she cared and why.

"Subaru wants to destroy the cult and he wants to destroy the Great Demon Beasts. I'll help him however I can," Satella answered. "I've already spent 400 years in prison…if you think I deserve more for all the people I hurt then punish me after I'm done helping Subaru," Satella pleaded as she dropped to her knees in front of Reinhard much to everyone's shock. The voice of Envy roaring in the back of her mind wondering what the hell Satella was doing.

Reinhard himself didn't know what to make of it as the Witch of Envy was now bowing before him. He glanced around and found everyone else just as stunned by this display. He still had no idea what to do but he found something else within the Witch, a familiarity. He had often made attempts at humbling himself in front of others, asking for forgiveness for any small misstep he might have made. He often thought it was best to be punished for any of his mistakes, no matter how small, sometimes insisting they do. Never understanding why some people like Subaru and Felt would say not to worry. Now he knew though.

"Alright Satella," Reinhard spoke using the Witch's name for the first time. "You can stand up now," He told her. "I'm not going to punish you…that's not for me to decide," He informed. Satella looked up at him her face unreadable. Perhaps he really had fallen because he was certain what he was going to next was borderline treason. "As it stands any punishment I can give, is unbefitting, you, and the others made it clear that you all want to atone for your sins. Some atoning for the sins of others." He told her. Quite frankly it seemed to make sense to him now. Satella was punished with 400 years imprisonment, she couldn't die so execution was out and she was actively helping to make the world better. What good would punish someone who was already repentant do and working to atone do? If someone owed you money and was already working to repay it…did it make sense to demand them to repay more?

"So, what are you going to do?" Subaru asked curiously.

"I will keep silent on this matter," Reinhard told them much to their relief. Neither was the all-powerful Sword Saint after them nor were they going to be reported to the kingdom.

"I do, however…have a few conditions," Reinhard told them.
