A reimagining of the original Twilight. What if Jasper was the single Cullen male when Bella Swan showed up to Forks? He and Alice still met in that diner in Philadelphia all those years ago, but she was destined to be with Edward, and Jasper was... well, I'll let you take a guess. I tried to keep this as accurate as possible despite the different pairings. Jasper POV.

I'm sitting inside our car in the school parking lot, we've just arrived. I see Bella sitting in her truck across the sea of pavement. Every thing seems normal, but I have the distinct feeling that something's wrong. I watch as Edward forces a smile and gives her a little wave, he doesn't want her to be frightened of him. She rolls down her window and sticks her head out, she looks panicked. I see a sheet of paper float out of her window and watch as she gets out of her truck to retrieve it. She stands up and looks around the lot, her eyes searching for something, or someone. A loud screech erupts and it consumes me. I watch in horror as a blue van skids across the parking lot on a sheet of ice. I want to stop it, run to her and push her out of the way but I can't move. Edward, Emmett, Rosalie and I all watch in near slow motion as it heads directly towards Bella's truck. I yell out her name, but it's too late. The van slams into her truck, crushing her between the two vehicles. The smell of blood instantly hits my nose and I look over to Edward in horror as I watch her scent fill his lungs. His head snaps towards me and I do not recognize my husband anymore. Suddenly, he's out of the truck and all I can hear is screaming as I watch him run towards her in a blur. The van suddenly tips over on it's side, I can sense that she's still alive. We all run over to them, too fast for human eyes to register. I want to take her to Carlisle, before her heart stops beating, hoping he can change her, but it's too late. Edward is holding a lifeless Bella in his arms, her blood stains his lips. He lets out a loud guttural yell as hundreds of students break into mass chaos, trying to get away from the monster that's been unleashed, several of them don't make it. I watch as his hand shoots out in front of him, he grabs a scrawny boy by the neck and plunges his teeth into his throat. I can't do anything but stare at the scene in front of me, I know that this is the end. The Volturi will come for us. My hands shake as I pull out my phone to call Jasper, but before I can dial I see a blur heading towards Edward. I watch as Jasper's body collides into his and before I can comprehend, I'm crying out as my husband's head is ripped from his body and set on fire.
