Fleur got Daphne out of the Great hall, Harry fought his way through the throngs that had seemed to open for the three girls. Harry half expected to see Fleur gone or talking to the sisters, what he saw instead stopped him in his tracks hesitant to approach Fleur. She stood at the stairway down to the dungeons, her face concerned and her black robes in her hands. Harry moved behind her and rubbed her back with one hand "You okay?" Fleur nodded wistfully "Oui, sometimes ze 'and offered gets rebuffed. I do not zink it is personal."
Harry kissed the back of her neck and waited for her to turn and kiss him, she smiled at him locking eyes then taking his hand and heading up the stairs "Do you 'ave time before your next class?" Harry thought about it for a second and nodded "I have history, even if I never show up it won't be noticed." She lead him into their room and pushed him into a sitting position on the bed as she threw her robe into a corner and sat on his lap resting her head against his chest "Whats up?" Harry asked. Fleur listened to the voice in his chest and thought for a minute "Just needed a minute, I zink ze Greengrass sisters were attacked. I wanted to 'elp zem, I saw myself in zem." Harry ran his fingers through her hair almost meditative the silk like texture centering and focusing his mind "Not everyone wants to be helped, or knows how to accept it when it's offered."
She sat up and looked at him her eyes prompting him to continue "If you had tried helping me in person before Hogwarts… or even for a few years after I would have recoiled. I did not know what a friendly hand was, I had only ever known cruelty and abuse." She nodded slowly "'Arry, I do not zink zere 'omelife is bad." "I know Fleur, me either. But we spend most of our teen years in this castle. In many ways it is our home life." She thought for a moment "You zink zere 'ouse is abusive?" Harry shrugged looking uncomfortable at the idea.

In a small town in France named Sangatte chaos reigned. The death eaters had chosen to bring back their master in style, muggles ran left and right screaming into the night. Confused and lacking understanding of the beams of light that hurt them, humiliated them, killed them. Cruel laughter rang across the idyllic forested hills as the death eaters capered amongst the carnage indulging in all sorts of depraved acts. An elderly british wizard who had been caught unawares during his holiday stood beside a large cauldron "Animals are treated better than this…" he said his voice thready and choked.
The tall thin figure of Voldemort stood wreathed in smoke watching the happenings around him, the voice of the man that had sacrificed his blood for his rebirth drew his attention. He looked at the man curiously his head tilted "That is what they are… animals. Beings that failed the great race of life." Tears streaked slowly down the wizards face as he looked at the creature beside him, their eyes meeting for the briefest of moments before a flash of green ended the meeting.
Voldemort watched the body hit the ground then went back to his vigil of his followers. Cruelty had never bothered him, indeed it seemed to be the only thing that he truly enjoyed. Sometimes in contemplative moments he wondered if he sought power, control or simply the cries of those he ground under his heel. With a shake of his head as if chasing away a stray fly he shook the thought, it mattered not in the end. He raised his hand and shot his sign into the air for the first time in over fifteen years, a small smile curved non-existent lips as the green light bathed the countryside.

Hedwig landed onto the breakfast table knocking over Harry's pumpkin juice, she immediately started attacking the plate of bacon. Harry reached out to pet her "Hey girl, sorry I haven't had a letter in awhile." Hedwig glared at Harry turning to look at him when Fleur noticed she had a parcel tied to her foot, she untied it quickly while her attention was elsewhere "'Arry its from Pere." Harry tried to look around Hedwig when her head dipped in the same direction keeping eye contact, Harry moved the other way and was blocked again, he laughed and pet her head and fed her some bacon "What is it Fleur? Hedwig won't let me look." Fleur pulled out a neatly folded paper from the brown wrapping "It is a french newspaper…" her forehead crinkled as she started reading.
British terrorist group resurges
By: Paul Martin
The town of Sangatte was the site of a large scale attack, the group known as the Death Eaters have been implicated by the calling card that was commonly found at sites of their attacks. Over one hundred non magic individuals have been identified as victims of what appears to be torture, mental, physical and sexual in nature. When contacted for comments the British government refused to comment and denied the group in question still existed. When pressured by the Delacour family they agreed to send a representative to investigate the site.
Our own government has begun to arm our emergency reserves and increase the budget for our peace keeping forces. France was caught unawares during the great uprising of 14 July 1789, while the deaths still weigh heavy on the magical community the government has made clear it still holds true to its promise.
Never again.
Hedwig finished her bacon and flew out of the Great hall giving Harry a better view of Fleur who was wide eyed "What's wrong?" Harry asked with a small amount of alarm making its way into his voice. Fleur put the paper down on the table in front of Harry allowing him to make his way slowly through it "France is preparing for war." Her words stopped Harry's effort to read the story himself, he looked up and into her eyes, in them something stirred.

By lunch a new announcement adorned the wall, the proclamation went almost completely ignored. The only colors around it were the silver and green, Harry motioned surreptitiously with his fork towards Umbridge's table. The squat woman stabbed at her food with fervor, her face reddened and her hair tightly coiled and coifed. Her pink robes did not help the vermillion tones of her ruddy face. Her head swung his way as Harry looked down and whispered "Tad frustrated I imagine…" he felt a tug on his robe and looked over to the entryway door. The Greengrass sisters stood somewhat nervously then separated, the elder heading for Ravenclaw, her robes piping now the blue of her adoptive house. The younger with her yellow tie slightly askew was welcomed at the Hufflepuff table.
Slytherin, the smallest house in the school looked on with undisguised interest. The girls were gathered to one side. While not unusual for the tables to be separated mostly along lines, the contrast of all of them on one side, the closest to a boy was still several meters away, was stark. Harry watched with interest as the girls put their heads together deep in conversation, he turned and looked towards the proclamation noticing for the first time it was almost entirely boys. "'Arry?" Fleur said as she shook his shoulder, "'Ermione asked you a question." Harry looked around and saw a few people looking at him curiously.
"Sorry, got distracted… look at Slytherin. Something is up with the girls." Harry's comment made those close enough to hear him turn and look with interest at the intense discussion going on at Slytherin table. Harry recognized Tracy Davis from his year, she stood up with a start, "Fine, cowards!" she exclaimed. She stalked over to the head table with a look of determination on her face, she squared off with the head table. "Right, i'm out too. It is a Merlin be damned travesty that this school calls that house of snakes a part of it."
Umbridge cleared her throat and stood, though the difference was scant. "I am sorry my dear according to the ministries most recent proclamation any change in a students housing status must be approved by me." Tracy looked unflustered as she removed her tie calmly and threw it on the ground "Oh, I can read. I don't care if I have to sleep in the great hall, I will be safer by a stretch." Umbridge's eyes began to gleam "My dear, you are a student of house Slytherin I am afraid the Headmaster can no longer be forced by obstinate children into changing their house." Tracy snorted and left her robe on the floor in front of her, the patch off her jumper joining it shortly after.
"I hear France is nice this time of year, I am sure I can arrange a transfer." Without turning her voice got louder "Fleur?" Harry felt Fleur rise from her seat next to him "Oui Tracy, I will assist you and any others." Tracy turned and gave Fleur a smile as she strode out of the hall, Feur started after her and Harry followed. They found her outside the school taking deep steadying breaths.

By the next days lunch several more robes had joined Tracy's and Fleur was being kept busy writing letters to her old school. House Slytherin was starting to look pretty small, and as Harry contemplated their table size and serving himself a cup of pumpkin juice a second year girl stood up abruptly and did not even bother to walk to the front of the hall, with tears running down her cheeks she simply dropped her robes at her seat and ran from the hall. Slytherin was left with so few girls you could count them on one hand, a few boys had either left as well or were no longer coming to the great hall for meals.
Snape stood and walked over the Dumbledore, Harry out of curiosity pretended to drop a roll and got a little closer. "...Keeps up Headmaster there will be no House Slytherin." Snape's hissing whisper made its way under the table. The Headmaster steepled his fingers and looked over the hall for a moment before replying in normal conversational tones "Severus if your house had tried even a little to develop with the times this would not be happening. Tradition is not an excuse… No other house has lost a student."
Harry snatched the roll and got back into his seat before he was noticed. Harry went to serve himself when he noticed Fleur had already filled his plate, her choices for him were healthier then the ones he would make for himself. Hermione leaned over her plate "Hear anything good?" Harry gave a slight shrug as he speared some green beans with his fork. "Snapes upset he soon will not have any students in his house." Fleur snatched the roll that had been on the floor away from Harry's plate as he reached for it "Zat is dirty 'Arry it was on ze floor." Hermione snorted and shook her head "Not much Dumbledore can do about Slytherine's dropping out… I wonder how common students quitting is. It has not happened in the time we have attended." Harry kissed Fleur and said a quick goodbye heading off for his classes. Potions which he used to dread was muted as the lack of Slytherins made a large divide in the middle of the room, it was hard for Malfoy to cause issues. The rest of the day was more of the same, as was the week.

Cornelius Fudge paced the length of his office as Dolores and Lucius stood just inside the door. Cornelius abruptly turned on them "Enough excuses about lacking support Dolores, at this rate the school will be in a shambles by Christmas." Dolores's cheeks reddened and her lips thinned to near non-existence, Lucius cleared his throat "Minister, the school council and the parents…" Fudge slashed one of his hands through the air and glared at the pair.
"I do not know what parents you have been talking to but the ones polled by the government are getting disturbing letters home about the changes. Each and every one blames us. Personally. If a vote was taken right this minute it is doubtful I would remain Minister. And your insinuations that Dumbledore wants my seat seem to have come to nothing, If the man wanted it he could take it this minute because of your incompetence." Fudge turned his back on the pair and shuffled papers on his desk.
Lucius gloved hand gripped the head of his cane tight enough for the leather to squeak against the platinum snakehead, he quickly calculated the political ramifications of killing Fudge, or trying to imperius him, if he failed the attempt all hell would break loose. The useless woman next to him stood silently, tears seaming to hover in her eyes without falling. Fudge turned around as Lucius slowly relaxed his hand on his wand. "Dolores, you will return to your post as my assistant. You were never a qualified teacher and I will take some of the blame for your failures. Lucius perhaps we can discuss your security proposals on the hall of prophecies over dinner?"

Harry woke to the pleasant warmth of Fleur, his head resting on her hip, the blankets had been thrown off sometime during the night. He had an up close view of her mound hidden by her lace knickers. They had made love a handful of times but Harry had kept his eyes almost entirely on hers or on her lovely breasts. He had seen her platinum blonde tuft a few times hiding the mysteries within, the talk she had given him had included the concept men returning the 'favor' as she had put it. Harry knew she had insisted he could touch her at any time but still hesitated, his hand hovering above her, he wasn't sure how long he hesitated with his hand there. He could almost feel the intense heat of her middle from where his hand was when her hand pushed his onto her mound.
Without him noticing her breathing had changed and Fleur had awoken, her hand guiding his into her knickers. He felt the hair there which was slightly coarser then the long tresses he normally ran his fingers through. Her warmth was surprising, she pushed his hand against herself harder and began to move her hips against it. Her breathing becoming more ragged, he started to hear gentle moans as he watched their hands as the fabric of the knickers occasionally revealed them. Harry felt Fleur guide two of his fingers until they sank into a warm silky soft and slick area of herself, Harry built up the bravery and gently moved his fingers exploring by touch. Fleur shuttered after an unknown amount of time, Harry had lost track his attention raptly on her body, breathing and warmth.
"Zat was nice 'Arry." Harry gently squeezed her mound and withdrew his hand sitting up in the process. "Was it okay?" Fleur laid there her skin glowed, notably pink as she breathed faster than normal. Harry thought she looked like a painting of the women he saw in art class at his muggle school. Fleur looked deep in thought for a minute "Yes 'Arry, it was perfect. You can touch me 'Arry." Harry leaned over and kissed her. She responded with fervor pulling him on top of herself, Fleur grabbed him, he had become quite worked up and guided him gently in. Harry shivered on top of her and was done within seconds of their joining. They held each other for a while after their heart rates returned to normal. The sound of the school coming to life outside their room, Fleur rolled off the bed and removed her undergarments. Harry watched her, his eyes clinging to her form.
She shot him a smirk "I am a mess 'Arry." she motioned to her tousled hair and face in general. Harry looked at her, he could not imagine anything more beautiful then his wife at that moment, but the words got caught in his throat so he just nodded. "We should have time for a quick shower and still get in breakfast." Harry hopped up and joined her in the shower, they quickly rinsed off. Harry hopped out before Fleur, and was ready before her. He grabbed one of her enchanting books and read it as she prepared for the day. His eyes following her more than the book.
She finished just as the last warning bell for breakfast sounded throughout the school. They arrived at the tables with less then ten minutes left to eat sliding in next to Katie Bell. "You guys are late this morning." Fleur flushed slightly but Harry's face was redder than the preserves he was spreading on his toast. Katie chuckled and shook her head "Forget I said anything." The twins and the other two chasers came in at the same time and joined them in their rush to eat before the food disappeared. Seconds before the food disappeared George lunged for as much food as he could pickup "If it's in your hands it stays!" He says almost frantically as Harry and Fleur snatched up one last slice of toast.
Dumbledore stood at the head table, his eyes on their small group twinkling with humor. "If we are done I have a few announcements to make before I release you all for your classes." George stood with a whole piece of toast shoved into his mouth and said loudly "'one 'ead 'aster." gave him a bow and sat down. Dumbledore chuckled as the school laughed with him, a tension that had been building almost released. "Thank you Mr. Weasley. As some of you may have noticed our Defense against the dark arts teacher is no longer with us. The Educational Decrees have been rescinded, This leaves us with several interesting developments. Until I find a replacement all Defense Against the Dark arts classes are cancelled. The first period is now a free period for all and all classes are moved forward as needed, if there is any confusion please check your common room for a clarified schedule." The cheer that resounded in the hall made Dumbledore to give a small smile his eyes twinkling as Fred and George Leapt up and did a mid air high five. "On a less happy note, anyone who would like to transfer houses will please stand, the sorting hat will be brought out."
Dumbledore waited as a line of female ex Slytehrins stood from various tables, their all black robes with ripped hems stark. The entire group of young women left at Slytherin stood as almost an entire unit. Harry watched as they filed forward leaving Pansy Parkinson behind, she looked angry, her body rigid. About a third of the younger Slytherin boys also stood and shuffled forward under the angry eyes of their former housemates. Roughly ninety Slytherins remained, every other house had somewhere between four hundred and six hundred students. Judging by the almost three hundred students crowding the front of the hall the sorting hat, and other houses were going to be very busy.
The entire school watched as the sorting hat was handed from one student to the next as if a holy object. "Ravenclaw!, Hufflepuff!. Hufflepuff!, Hufflepuff!, Ravenclaw!, Gryffindor!" Harry leaned forward towards the team and muttered "Not a whole lot of Gryffindor in there." Alicia stopped paying attention for a second and leaned in "Well, they were our house's rival. I can't imagine we are well liked or thought of. Even if you hate being a Slytherin, prejudices die hard." Harry and the twins shot each other looks, the twins spoke "More room for us, wouldn't want to bunk with one anyway." Fleur squeezed Harry's hand "Walking away from their 'ouse must be difficult. We should do our best to be kind."

Voldemort stood in a well appointed ballroom in his new body. Lucius and Bartemius waited on him, "Lucius where are my loyal followers." His silky sibilant voice made Luciuses cringe which he quickly hid "They must have gotten held up master… perhaps summon them?" Voldemort gave him a cool look and snatched his arm like a striking snake pushing his skeletal forefinger into his dark mark. Lucius pales considerably, biting back a grunt. They wait a few beats, and when no one appears Bartemius turns on the spot dissaperating. After a few minutes he reapparates with a man who he tosses roughly to the ground, blood leaks from a tear in his robes.
"Ah, Roseir, perhaps you can tell me where my followers have gone." Roseir pushes himself off the ground he seems to draw himself up gathering his courage and looks Voldemort in the eyes. "We are spoken of in fear and derision, as the lowest criminals. My boy won't even look me in the eye, Yesterday he left house Slytherin, a house my family has been in for centuries. Other's children have applied to Beauxbatons and refuse to return to Hogwart's. You have shamed us in the eyes of our children." His voice broke as if his heart did as well. With a snarl Voldemort flicks his wand the room turning momentarily green.
