Well everyone, here is the sequel to Devil May Cry: The Lightning Thief. This is book 2 in the Devil May Cry: Son of the Huntress series, and we are now in Sea of Monsters.
Now the pairing is still OC/Silena/Thalia/Zoe due to the votes, but because Thalia and Zoe aren't in the series yet, Drake will get with Silena first in this story, but Thalia and Zoe get their chance to be with the son of Artemis next chapter. I know some of you don't like the fact it's a triple pairing instead of a single pairing, but the majority voted and so the triple pairing won it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or Percy Jackson and the Olympians, they belong to their rightful owners.
The sound of someone whistling a tune could be heard along with the sounds of someone's boots walking across the concrete ground. In an alleyway in New York City, a figure could be seen walking down towards a staircase descending downwards. The figure wore a faded black, 3/4-length, hooded leather jacket with red interior linings and the British Union flag sewn on the left arm, a gray tank top, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans, black military boots.
The hood was up so the figure's face was hidden mostly but it was clear to see it was a male figure. He walked down the stairs towards a door and entered, showing it was actually a run down looking bar, a moth flying at the light, two guys playing poker while the bartender was cleaning a glass with a towel.
"What will it be?" The bartender grunted.
"Strawberry Sundae, please." The figure said, his voice sounding close to a young man's in his teens, as he sat down and kept his head down.
The bartender turned to look at him. "This is a bar, we don't sell stuff like that. Besides, bars aren't for kids like you."
The figure reached up and pushed his hood down to reveal the smirking face of Drake Redgrave. "Hey, just trying to lighten up the mood in this place. Smells like shit and...blood. Well that's cool with me, but I was wondering if you could tell me something."
"What?" The bartender asked as he turned away to continue his cleaning.
"There's a bar around here, more like a dive, where someone's life is taken instead of money. Sounds scary, like Halloween scary." Drake chuckled as he looked over his shoulder to see the two guys playing poker with one growling in annoyance.
His friend smirked. "Sorry, forgive me pal."
"Royal straight flush, huh? That can kill a guy, a hand like that you know?" Drake chuckled a she looked forwards while reaching behind him underneath his coat.
"How about I buy you a round?!" The man snarled as he stood and turned to lunge at Drake only to see a silver gun pointed at him.
BANG!
A gunshot went through the man's head and he went flying back with blood pouring out the wound until he suddenly morphed into a demon and lunged at Drake who darted to the side, still keeping his smirk up as the demon crashed into the bar, the silver gun flipping through the air until Drake grabbed it and aimed it at the demon when the other guy suddenly morphed into one and clamped his jaws around Drake's arm but the 15 year old didn't even look hurt.
"Not bad...Mr. Royal flush." Drake said before he aimed inside the demon's mouth and shot him through the head. With his free hand, he opened his palm and not a moment later a sword smashed through the window and into Drake's hand. Drake raised Judgement and slashed the other demon in half before resting the blade on his shoulder while walking towards the door, stopping for a moment before impaling his sword through the door and a second later the bartender's body fell through the glass window of the door.
"Have a Strawberry Sundae next time, dipshits." Drake called as he walked up the stairs when the bartender turned into a demon and lunged at Drake who whirled around with his silver gun, Dusk, pointed at the demon and that cocky smirk on his face.
"Jackpot."
BANG!
Drake sheathed Judgement and walked up the stairs, putting away Dusk. Ever since learning who his mother really as, he had decided to give Dusk a colour change, going from white to silver.
If you are new to this, Drake is the son of Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the Moon, and Dante Redgrave, half-demon son of The Legendary Dark Knight Sparda.
Drake found out about his mother about a year ago when he and his friend Percy Jackson went to a place called Camp Half-Blood and found out that they were Demigods. Percy was the son of Poseidon, the God of the Sea, and Drake found out his mother was Artemis which came as a real shock to everyone considering Artemis hated men and nobody ever thought she would marry one, let alone have a son.
Drake hadn't changed much since the whole Lighting Thief Quest when he and his friends had to go find Zeus' Master Bolt, battled Ares the God of War, and returned the bolt to Zeus to prevent war between the Big Three Gods since Hades' Helm of Darkness was stolen as well and Hades accused Poseidon and Zeus of doing it, while Zeus accused Poseidon of stealing his Master Bolt.
Well the only thing that had changed was Drake's hair which he now had swept back, similar to his uncle Vergil's hairstyle.
It was a fucked up mess if you ask Drake. Luckily it was stopped.
Though the real thief was revealed to be Luke Castellan, son of Hermes and someone who hated the gods for mistreatment of their Demigod children. Though Drake personally thought it was because he had daddy issues. Like seriously, he couldn't see his mother but you don't see Drake throwing a temper tantrum about it. He knew the gods were busy with their duties, even though a part of him was annoyed it stopped him from seeing his mother but he knew they'd eventually meet one day.
Drake had been away to red Grave City when he learned of Luke's betrayal, and the image of Annabeth's hurt and betrayed face still came to mind when he thought about it. Annabeth had become a little sister to him after their quest last year, to see her sad and hurt like that made his heart feel pain and he vowed that the next time he saw Luke...his ass was getting kicked to the hell and back.
Drake came out of his thoughts when he heard a vehicle's horn go off and looked to see a van coming right at him. Drake leaped over it in backflip and landed on his feet as the van stopped. It had the words 'Devil May Cry' in neon blue on the side of it. The window rolled down and a girl's head poked out with a smirk.
The girl has an attractive figure and light-tan skin. She has black, wavy, waist-length hair which she keeps tied in a ponytail. She wears a plaited hairband and red-rimmed glasses. She was wearing a white tank top showing her midriff covered with a dark-yellow sleeveless jacket that resembles welding cape sleeve. She wears blue denim shorts with a brown worker belt which she tucks a pair of heavy red heatproof gloves into one side of, with a pocketed toolbelt slung on the other side, stabilized with a thigh strap. She also wears a pair of brown leather cowgirl boots with embossed patterning and tongue straps which appear to be decorated with pistol cartridges.
This girl's name was Nicoletta Goldstein, but she prefers being called Nico.
"Hey baby, need a lift?" She asked with a wink at him.
Drake rolled his eyes, used to her flirtatious comments with him, but still he was pissed at nearly being run over there. "What the hell is your problem, Nico? You trying to kill me?"
Nico scoffed. "Don't be such a bitch. Get in."
Drake rolled his eyes and walked up to the side door and opened it, entering while shutting the door behind him. "Nero, you better control this out of control mutt of yours."
"Hey!" Nico yelled while the passenger laughed. Nero was a young man older than Drake by a few years, had icy blue eyes, had white faux-hawk like style hair, wore a more casual punkish attire, consisting of a dark blue hooded jacket, a tattered dark crimson shirt and black pants with military-style combat boots. His right arm was a demon's arm which wasn't normal so it was either in a cast or hidden by a sleeve.
Unknown to Nero though, Dante had told Drake that Nero was in fact his cousin, Nero was the son of Vergil but Nero didn't know and Dante didn't want to tell him. Drake didn't know why but he knew his dad would've had his reasons for it. Dante had also told Drake to not say anything to Nero and Drake agreed.
Though the fact that Vergil had a kid still stupefied him since he has been told of Vergil's hatred for his human side and humanity itself, finding them weak.
"Easy Nico, he's just kidding." Nero said before looking at Drake who came up to stand behind Nero's seat. "So, the demons dealt with?"
"Of course, dumbass. Check the carnage back there and you'll see it." Drake scoffed, getting a swat on the arm from Nero as Drake chuckled.
"So...when you heading back to that camp thing of yours?" Nico asked as she drove the van. Nico knew of Drake's Demigod heritage since she knew Dante and Nero were part demon, plus she knew when she investigated the Fortuna incident a year ago.
"Soon. Things haven't been going good." Drake said seriously. He was referring to the amount of monsters he's encountered and heard that were near Camp Half-Blood. Ever since Christmas more and more monsters have been appearing around New York, causing disturbances. Drake dealt with a few there since he had gotten himself a penthouse with the money he won at the Lotus Hotel in Las Vegas last year on the Quest for the Master Bolt, though Drake did pay off Dante's debt to Lady...but not before demanding he gets a few of his Devil Arms which just made Dante groan. "Gonna meet Percy at that school he's going to."
Dante had decided, after last year, that Drake shouldn't be in some 'crappy school learning stuff he already knows' Dante's words, not his. So Drake was basically out of school now, which he enjoyed. He knew education was important but he got home schooled a few years ago after a demon incident in one of Drake's old schools.
Drake sat down on the couch and laid down, lost in thought. He was missing his friends, the ones he made at Camp Half-Blood like Annabeth, Clarisse, Grover, Katie, Connor, Travis, Beckendorf and many others. But there was one that he missed a lot.
Silena Beauregard.
The daughter of Aphrodite and the girl he had a crush on. He had gotten her contact details before he left Camp last year and knew she had finsihed school a few days ago, but he hadn't heard anything from her since, then again phones and mortal devices weren't allowed in Camp.
The van soon arrived outside Meriwether College Prep and Drake got up. "Alright, I'm away. try not to be dipshits at the demon hunting will ya?" Drake jokingly said.
"Fuck off, Drake." Nero scoffed but there was a playful smirk on his lips.
"Get going hot shot." Nico chuckled. "We'll tell Dante you probably went to Camp."
Drake nodded and got off the van, which soon drove off and he looked at the building in front of him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the air ripple and a small smirk came onto his face before he turned and walked down the side of the building, knowing who was following him since he could smell her perfume.
He turned around a corner and waited until he saw the ripple appear again and he quickly swept it up into a hug, getting a girly squeal in response.
"Hello to you too, Annie." Drake chuckled a she felt the invisible person huff but hug him back then placed her down and the air rippled again before Annabeth Chase appeared in front of him with her Yankees cap in her hand, giving him an annoyed look. "You know it's rude to spy right? What would aunt Athena say?"
Seems Annabeth had a small growth spurt since he last saw her, her hair had grown a little but she still kept the same princess curls at the end.
Annabeth rolled her eyes but she soon hugged him and he hugged her back with a smile. "I missed you, Annie."
"I missed you too." Annabeth mumbled into the neck of her self proclaimed older brother. Sure they weren't siblings, but their bonding on the Quest for the Master Bolt had made them close as siblings and they saw each other as brother and sister...though Drake was older so he was basically the older brother.
"You doing well? Nothing bad happened that requires me sorting it out?" Drake asked when they broke the hug.
Annabeth shook her head. "No."
"Boys?" Drake raised an eyebrow.
"Drake!" Annabeth smacked his arm with a blush.
"Just doing my duty as an older brother who's missed his little sister." Drake smirked. "Or are your eyes still on Percy?"
"S-Shut up!" Annabeth said with her blush going redder.
"Wonder what Aunt Athena would say that one of her children is crushing on Poseidon's kid." Drake mused, getting a punch in the stomach making him grunt and lurch forward.
"Idiot." Annabeth said but there was still a large smile on her face at the teasing and banter from her older brother. "So, you here to see Percy?"
"Yeah, what about you? Chiron told me things are going bad with Camp." Drake said seriously.
"I'll tell you after we grab Seaweed brain." Annabeth said and Drake nodded before the two walked off. "You wait out here while I get him."
"Why am I the one who needs to stay outside?" Drake asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because I said so." Annabeth said firmly, making Drake roll his eyes with amusement but he allowed her to go inside. "Just...keep an eye out in case any monsters show up, or worse demons."
"Good point." Drake nodded and leaned against the wall as Annnabeth entered the building.
And that's the first chapter, hope you liked it. I know Drake didn't show off much except for the beginning there, but give him time and he will. This IS only the first chapter after all. Now I don't know when Nico met Nero, it only says she wanted to meet him after the Fortuna incident was investigated so I assume a few months after the events of DMC 4.
