Gary had one in the anime so that means at least him or Prof Oak knew and he would've spread the info. Also, I just wanted a girl growlithe so I could name it Hestia lol Also his growlithe was named Growlie which could've been a feminine nickname.
CrimsonStarBlade: Meowth will be a normal meowth that I might teach sign language to later. Poachers would've been good if he talked because most people would pay big money for that.
Guest: Jessie can't understand pokemon. It's one of those questions and she points out things I just didn't want to write about it fully. Kind of like how Staryu asked to join James.

Chapter 6: First Date?!
After we got to the Pokemon Center we crashed in a bedroom that we are sharing. Sadly, separate beds but I can live with that for now, I guess. Cool part about this Poke Center was that in the bedroom was a huge fish tank that Staryu got to sleep in.
I also found out Jessie was the early rise between the two of us. By the time I woke up she was already dressed and brushing her hair on her bed. Hestia played with Petal on the ground and Staryu hung out in his tank.
After I got a nice hot shower in and got dressed in fresh clothes, we went down to the cafeteria to get some breakfast. The cafeteria was pretty packed but we got a table with some open seats and were able to get some food in before the day started.
Once we were done, we went and talked to Nurse Joy.
"Hello Nurse Joy I would like to register for the pokemon league." I was pretty excited to battle people like Koga and Sabrina to be honest. A future elite four member and a psychic would be a good test of my skills.
"Sure thing! I just need your rotom phone or pokedex and I can get you signed up." After handing over my phone, she inserted it into the slot and typed in a few things. Before handing me over my phone she also grabbed a metallic case and handed me that as well.
"Good luck Mr. Blair. Here is your phone and the complementary badge case that the league hands out." I happily grabbed my phone and case and put them into my backpack.
"Is that all for today?" Nurse Joy asked in her sweet voice. Before I could answer Jessie beat me to it.
"Yes, I want to be a traveling nurse and was wondering if there is anything you would need help with while we stay for the next two days." Jessie asked. She seemed a little nervous since this is the first time, she would be doing this.
"Oh well with the influx of trainers me and Chansey have been swamped so I would love help. I would pay you the normal rate of 200 poke dollars a day if that's okay? After I see and verify your license of course." Nurse Joy honestly looked relieved at the extra hand.
Jessie fumbled with her bag as she pulled out her certificate and swiftly handed it to Nurse Joy. After Nurse Joy looked at it and entered something into the computer, she was all good to go.
"Ok I entered you into the database so you shouldn't need to show this again unless in an official capacity." Nurse Joy said.
Jessie was so happy she hugged me and gave me a kiss on the cheek which made me flush a darker pink than Nurse Joy's hair.
Looking amused, Nurse Joy continued after Jessie calmed down. "I can give you a rundown of what will happen in most poke centers and you can get started now if you want."
Jessie nodded so fast I thought she would hurt her neck. "Yes of course." She answered Nurse Joy before turning to me. "Can we meet up for dinner?" She looked at me pleading.
"Only if you count it as a date." I responded jokingly since she's all hyped up now. She eeped loudly and blushed like a tomato. But didn't give me an actual response. When I was about to tell her, I was joking because I didn't think she would, but then she surprised me.
"Yes! I mean yes I would love that, James." She responded while still blushing a storm. I kind of froze that she answered like that but I was stoked to be making progress with her in this direction.
"I will make a reservation somewhere in town then at 7:00." I take her hand and give it a light kiss. "I'll meet you in our room at 6:30?" I asked. Externally I look kind of smooth and have a slight blush but internally I'm freaking out as Jessie even likes this?
She nods quickly and gets a bit redder before following Nurse Joy out of the lobby.
Well, my plans for training are put on hold till I can make a reservation somewhere hopefully. It's kind of last minute but for the start of the season it might not be so bad.
3 Hours Later
Ok I was terribly wrong most places are packed apparently. I forgot most parents might take this opportunity to do a date night or something of the sort.
Luckily, I found a small Italian restaurant that's only a short walk through a park to get there. After getting a reservation for 7:30 which was the closest to the time I said I found a clearing somewhere close to the poke center and started training.
I continued the training I was doing with Hestia and got her working on building up fighting type pokemon energy for reversal. It would be needed for the first gym. My only other saving grace will be if she can actually burn a rock type pokemon like in the games.
Neptune had a different training strategy. I had him using rapid spin to fly through some trees like an obstacle course. He had a pretty good sense of direction but after an hour or two he was only hitting a tree every once in a while.
I also had him working on a water gun with and without rapid spin. We came up with the name Rapid Gun for now till he learns hydro pump and we will swap it to something else later.
He also had harden and tackle down but I think those moves are too instinctual to be able to tell any difference.
Confuse ray I couldn't really test besides that it worked on Hestia once or twice, but I didn't want Hestia to be out of it for training so we stopped once it seemed to be working.
For most of the time while they were training, I continued my personal workout routine and focused on my stamina. There wasn't much point for body strength but I remember in the anime they needed to run a lot. I still did basic pushups, sit ups and pull ups on tree branches but that is about the extent of my workout routine besides running.
After I exhausted myself, it took some time to relax and watch my pokemon train. Neptune was shooting down pinecones with water gun from trees and was succeeding. I might need to pick some up to throw so he can practice moving targets.
Hestia was practicing Reversal which she learned. It chimed on my Phone that she learned a new move which was a cool feature. Sadly, it didn't look strong since she was healthy, but it will be a good trump card for her in the gym battle.
Once the timer on my phone went off stating it was 5 in the afternoon, I called my pokemon over and fed them some dinner. Neptune ate his food through a slight opening near his gem. I realized that was his mouth and it was a little weird.
Hestia mowed down on her food like normal and once she finished, she curled up next to me and took a nap. Once Neptune finished, he hopped over in a nearby pond and floated around. I'm glad that they can relax once we finish training like this.
We stayed like that for a while as I read more on the pokemon world. I found out Neptune and Hestia both will need evolution stones in the future to evolve. Unlike in the anime where they don't state how you get these items you can get them at the Celadon department store like in the game for the basic ones at least.
They only sold fire, lighting, water and leaf stones. Which will be good to know for Jessie when she wants to evolve Petal to a Vileplume. Apparently, they have farms and mining figured out for these stones. They are still pretty spendy at about 5000 poke dollars each but not out of anyone's reach.
Hopefully I will only need the two for now and my other pokemon in the future evolve naturally. I also found out that TMs are permanent so I won't have to get multiple of those either. That will become really handy as I travel to other regions. Sadly, I can't give a baby Charmander a flamethrower TMs.
Your pokedex will tell you what TMs your pokemon can physically handle and can learn safely. The pokeball is connected to the pokedex and will only allow you to use TMs from the allowed list. I think this is a great feature personally or you will have newbie trainers save money for hyper beam and try to teach it to all their pokemon ready or not.
There are a lot more safeguards in place for pokemon that actually ease me a little. People like Damian in the anime will feel harsh repercussions for what they did. Essentially there are actual pokemon abuse charges that can be filed.
Even if a pokemon is released their DNA is stored in the caught pokemon database to show any previous owners. It also shows time/date and location of when it was caught. So, if someone catches them in the wild to save a pokemon from dying it will show what time/date to help accredited the trainers story.
Hopefully I'm never in that type of situation but I'm glad there are actual fail safes in the pokedex program that the league controls. Professor Oak was a big sponsor for getting these types of things in place and my respect for the man is growing every time I read an article with him in it.
Growing up Professor Oak seemed like not the most responsible adult by giving Ash a brand-new trainer a rowdy Pikachu. Later you find out it's because he ran into Ash and Pikachu in the past but the seed of doubt was there already.
I'm glad he seems like a pusher for Pokemon rights that I support full heartedly. They are very intellectual creatures and deserve respect from everyone. Hestia and Neptune are like family to me and I'm happy to be a part of their loves and I hope they feel the same way.
After my research spree I noticed it was time for me to head back and get ready for my date with Jessie. Calling Neptune over and giving him and Hestia the details about tonight. I was kind of surprised by how excited Hestia was, she was dancing a little bit and Neptune looked close to blasting her with a water gun to cool her off.
After calming the two of them down I explained that they would need to be in their balls for tonight till we got back home from the date. They both agreed right away and I gave them more time outside by letting them walk back with me.
Once we got to the Pokemon Center I recalled them into their pokeball and walked up to our room. I sent Jessie a text seeing she wasn't in our room. Letting her know I was getting ready and she could have the room to get ready while I waited downstairs in the lobby for her.
After a quick shower and I changed into some nicer clothes I bought in case a situation like this occurred. I wore black jeans with my normal sneakers. My pokeball belt with Neptune and Hestia's balls in the first two slots. I also had a long sleeve button up gray shirt and a black blazer to go over it.
I thought I looked good and when I saw Nurse Joy give me a wink and thumbs up, I blushed a little bit. I only waited for about an hour downstairs before I saw a flash of crimson out of the corner of my eyes.
Jessie came downstairs wearing a crimson spaghetti strap sundress. Her hair was done in her normal fashion and she only applied some light red lipstick to make her plump lips pop. She had a low hanging neck line that showed a generous amount of cleavage. It hugged her hips and waist wonderfully and highlighted her figure well. It ended about mid-thigh and showed her wonderful legs in all their glory. To finish it off she had some ankle strap white sandals and a small white handbag that was carried with a thin shoulder strap.
She walked up to me and I was breathless as I standed up to greet her. "You look beautiful." I said without thinking. "Thank you, James, you look very handsome yourself." She said as she looked me up and down. I could tell from the look of her eyes she had a slight hunger for them.
"Well, I wanted to show my best to this beautiful Lady I know. I also reserved dinner at an Italian restaurant that's a short walk through a park away. If the lovely "
lady would like to join me?" I offered her my elbow like I've seen some people do in tv shows.
She blushed with a happy smile as she took my elbow in a firm grip. "I would love to join you, James." I smiled back at her as I led her outside and we started heading towards the restaurant.
We talked about random stories from our childhood that made each other laugh and made the atmosphere a happy feeling. The way Jessie laughed as she gripped my arm tighter and leaned against me felt so amazing. It was a calming experience that I didn't know I wanted or needed till now.
Jessie also talked about her experience in the Pokemon Center while I was out training. She learned how to use the equipment that she will see in most Poke Centers along with where most items are stored for emergencies. She also helped Chansey heal over 100 pokemon in her first day which I thought was incredible.
The whole time she talked about her day she had a huge smile on her face that I swore melted my heart. After today I made a promise to myself to protect that smile as much as I humanly could.
By the time she finished talking about her day we made it to the restaurant with a few minutes to spare but luckily, we got to sit down right away. I pulled out Jessie's chair first and pushed her in before I sat at my own seat. As we sat across from each other all I could do was stare into Jessie's beautiful blue eyes.
"Are you going to tell me about your day or stare at me the whole time handsome?" Jessie asked with a smirk. I didn't realize I ignored her question and blushed at getting caught. I took a drink of water from the glass in front of me and hoped it would cool down my blush.
"I mainly spent the day training Hestia and Neptune for the pewter city gym battle." I started to explain the training regime I began with Neptune since he was working on the newest stuff while Hestia mainly worked on Reversal.
Jessie listened to me and was paying full attention the whole time. It was wonderful to have someone give me attention for something I was passionate about. I wasn't used to this really and it made me extremely happy.
Once I finished my training regime. The waiter came and took our orders. Sadly, the drinking age is 18 so we couldn't get any wine but at least it wasn't 21 like in the states back in my world.
"So why did you say yes to me asking you out?" I asked Jessie while we waited for our food. I was genuinely curious why she accepted my invite to a date. We have only known each other for a week. Honestly, I started liking her on an emotional level a day or two ago.
Luckily since I have some years added on from my past life. I'm not as dense as James would've been when I was 16. "You have been amazing to me. You're super nice and support my dreams. I feel so close to you and you make me feel happy and safe. Also helps that you're good looking." She says with a smile that turns into a slight smirk at the last sentence.
"I feel the same way you make me feel so happy and your support for me to be a trainer feels amazing. It also helps that you're probably one of the most stunning women I have ever met." I said as I reached over and grabbed her hand.
She grabbed my hand back and gave me a warm smile. Sadly, our food came at that moment and we both laughed a little while the server served our food. We went back to talking about what we want to work on in the future.
My goal was to get all 8 gym badges and to make the conference. I also want to get my team to their peak capabilities sometime in our lifetime. As well as get a full team in each region to make my family bigger.
Jessie blushed slightly at making my family bigger statement. She then went on to talk about getting a team of healing pokemon and being recognized as a great healer in the league community. She also wants to travel the world and explore new things and meet new people like I do.
When we finished dinner, we were both so stuffed that we didn't bother with dessert. I quickly paid the waiter and gave him a good tip before I got up and pulled Jessie's chair out and held out my hand for her to help her up.
She interlaced our fingers which made me a little giddy inside as I pushed her chair in with my other hand and we left the restaurant. Walking back through the park it was a dark night with a lot of stars out in the sky. It was peaceful and quiet with no one in sight.
I felt Jessie shiver as we walked back in silence and looked over to notice she looked cold. I brought her up to a bench nearby and sat us down. After untangling our hands which I really didn't want to do. I quickly took off my blazer and covered her shoulders with it.
As I did so she leaned into me and sighed happily. I continued to hold her to me with my jacket around her and we sat there quietly while looking around the park. It was just like in Melanie's cabin in her hidden village.
My heart felt like it was beating faster the longer I sat there with Jessie in my arms. Her soft but toned figure melding with my own felt so right in so many ways. I could feel her warm breath near my neck as she lowly breathed in and out.
I could feel her heartbeat which was also slightly faster than mine as I held her firmly against me. I looked down at her and could see she was looking at me as well. Her bright blue eyes that look like the day time sky stared back into my emerald eyes and before I knew it my hand brought her chin up and I was kissing her plump lips.
It felt like my whole body vibrated in pleasure. My lips melted against her own soft velvety lips as she kissed me back. It felt so warm and tingly and I could feel one of her hands grip the hair at the back of my neck as she pulled me in closer.
My own hand slowly went down from her chin and followed a trail from her neck to shoulder and all the way down to her wide hips. As I gripped her hips firmly, I could feel her moan into my mouth and it turned me on even more. I slipped my tongue into her mouth and felt hers wrap around mine.
I don't even know what happened but I moaned to myself as we started french kissing. I slowly brought my hand from her waist down to her mostly bare thighs that felt so smooth under my touch as I started to rub my hand up and down. I could feel her shiver the higher I went but I knew we couldn't go any farther.
I slowed down our kissing and went from french back to normal as we slowly separated from each other's lips. I leaned my forehead against hers as I breathed like I was out of breath. I could feel her own breath hitting my lips as well.
When I reopened my eyes, I saw her looking at me and I thought her eyes were brighter before but it was like a sun hitting the ocean at the right angle. Her eyes were full of passion and dare I say lust as she stared back into my own.
"Hopefully that was okay." Was what I said and was probably the dumbest thing I have said in my whole life. She laughed a little bit and pulled me into a hug.
"Better than ok, it was perfect." She responded as she brought her hand up to the back of my head and started to rub my hair. It honestly felt like a trail of hot fire. It felt so good at that moment.
"I hope we can do it again sometime then." I responded that my hand was still on her leg rubbing it sensually. Her skin was smooth and from our encounter it felt so hot to the touch. I slowly brought my hand back up her body feeling her curves as I went up and Iran my hand to her cheek and rubbed it affectionately.
"Maybe but I think I would only do that for a special someone." She responded and I could feel the grip she had on my hair tighten. As she tightened her hand, I felt my body get hotter and any chance of hiding my hard on was gone now. Apparently, I have a hair pulling kink. The tighter she gripped my hair the hornier I got.
"Jessie will you be my girlfriend?" I asked with I hope wasn't desperation in my voice from how hot I was. She smiled at me brightly and kissed me hard. I could feel her leading the kiss this time as I returned her kiss. She pulled me in with her grip in my hair and I moaned into her mouth as she slowly bit my bottom lip between her teeth.
She slowly separated from the kiss and I could feel the blush in my face from how hot it was getting. "In case that wasn't a good enough answer. The answer is yes!" She exclaimed as she slowly let go of my hair and cupped my face to give my cheek a slow linger of a kiss.
"Now let's head back. We both need to be up early in the morning handsome." She said as she interlaced our fingers again. I nodded along with a bright smile on my face as we got up and walked back to the pokemon center.
I noticed she was having a rough time keeping the jacket on so I unlaced our hands and brought my arm around her shoulder to hold her close to me. Also, to keep the jacket in place of course. I felt one hand on my chest and one wrap around my back as we started to walk again.
It was a perfect night. I was so happy holding onto Jessie and it was the best date I ever been on that I could remember. She also said yes to being my girlfriend which excites me a lot. Also, the kiss was amazing. I have never had a kiss that felt that good and that right.
When we got back to the pokemon center it was late enough no one was downstairs. Slowly we made our way back to our room. Once we were inside Jessie gave me a kiss on the cheek and let go and grabbed some pajamas from her bed and went to go change in the bathroom.
I quickly changed into my own pajamas and let out Neptune in the tank. He gave me a grunt and wave as he slowly let himself float and I saw his gem dim as he fell asleep.
Letting out Hestia she looked at me expecting news of some sort. Not that I didn't have any but it felt like a parent when you got back from your first date ever. Before I could answer Jessie walked back into the room in her short pajama bottoms and big shirt that sat low on her shoulders.
She let out Petal who quickly waved with a leaf and yawned as she fell asleep on one of the few poke beds in the room. Hestia followed after giving us a glance and a sniff. She barked happily and gave Jessie a quick lick on the leg before going to her own bed for the night.
Putting the pokeball on my night stand I felt arms wrap around my waist and a pleasant soft sensation on my back. "Thank you for an amazing night." Jessie said as I turned around to return the hug. She gripped me harder than slowly rubbed her hand up and down my back.
As I pulled away from her, I put my hands on her waist and watched as her dazzling eyes and stunning smile looked up at me. I leaned down and gave her a slow and sensual kiss that felt just right for the moment.
We wished each other a good night and went to sleep in our own beds. We weren't quite ready to sleep together but I definitely wouldn't mind it. As I fell asleep to the quiet sounds of the pokemon and Jessie's breathing I felt so lucky to be alive.
Midnight
*BOOOOOOOM*
I woke up with a startle to a big explosion noise. I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary in my room but Jessie and our pokemon were up as well.
"What the fuck was that?" I said as I got up and put on my shoes and grabbed my phone and pokeball so I was prepared. Jessie looked as confused as I did as she also got ready in her PJs.
"I'm not sure I thought I dreamt it but we're all up from it." Jessie said as she put her hair into a ponytail. It really highlighted her slender neck. Something I really shouldn't be thinking about right now.
"Well, we should go downstairs just in case and check everything out. Neptune, Hestia I'm going to return you to your balls, be prepared to fight, okay?" I got a quick response from both as I returned them. Jessie did the same with Petal as well.
The power also just went out which made it seem like something was up. In the anime Jessie and James attacked the poke center pretty late at night but if it's not us who would do it?
I turn to jessie and grab her shoulders to make sure she would look and pay attention to me. "Ok Jessie when we get downstairs, I want you to check on the pokemon that Nurse Joy keeps and protect them alright? I'll try to deal with anything until an Officer can show up."
"Ok but you have to promise me to be safe handsome." Jessie said and I responded with a deep kiss. She gripped onto me hard and I could feel myself relax into the embrace. Till we slowly separated.
"I'll try my best. Follow me to the lobby and stay behind me. We also need to try and be as quiet as we can." She gave me a nod and we slowly made our way down to the lobby. I could see the backup generator must keep only the first floor with power since I could see lights on in the distance.
We could also hear some sounds of fighting in the lobby but nothing was concrete till we got closer. Once we got to the bottom of the stairs, I was able to peek into the room. To my surprise I saw an older looking Misty battling with her Starmie against three pokemon.
There was a Raticate, an Ekans and a Koffing. Weirdly enough those must have been the pokemon James and Jessie get from Team Rocket in the anime. I also see two rocket grunts who look familiar. One had a blonde head of hair in two long pigtails and the other had a middle split haircut that was green.
It clicked to me that it was Cassidy and Butch that I was looking at before me. They must replace Jessie and James since we didn't follow the path like in the anime.
I turn to Jessie and see she is slightly scared. I give her a reassuring smile and point towards the back doors she went to earlier with Nurse Joy and then pull out my two pokeball. I release Hestia and Neptune and give them a rundown of the situation.
"Ok guys there is a 1v3 battle going right now and we need to even the odds. Starmie is on our side and it will be stronger than both of you and it can take on the Raticate. So, here's my plan. Hestia, I want you to take the Ekans pepper it down with embers and if it gets close use Bite to try and keep it away." I then turn to Neptune.
"Neptune, you're going to focus on the Koffing and try to pin him down with a water gun. If he tries to get away rapid spin and knock him away from everyone else." Neptune gave me a nod and a slight salute.
"Ok, go on three. 1,2,3!" I yelled three to create a distraction and my pokemon went in on their targets. Hestia fired ember at Ekans and forced it away from Starmie and chased it to the other side of the center.
Neptune came in and knocked Koffing to the other side with Rapid Spin and started nailing it in place with water gun.
"Where the hell did you come from?" Both Rocket members yelled as I split apart their team.
"Starmie! Raticate is all yours use Water Pulse!" Misty yelled as Starmie with less on his/her plate started focusing the Raticate and started winning the battle.
Iran over to Misty to stay close just in case the rockets tried to do something themselves. "Hope I wasn't too late to the party." I said as I watched my pokemon continue to follow my orders.
"You're just in time. Thanks for showing up. Starmie is strong but multiple opponents can be hard to take on. My name is Misty by the way." She gave me a smile and I took my first notice of older Misty.
She wasn't as hot as Jessie but she definitely wasn't ugly either. She had a slim swimmers build. Surprise surprise. And also wore the same outfit as the Kanto arc but filled it out better. Her hair was also the same length and she had the pull string bag on her back.
With my distraction from checking out Misty. I heard a weird screech and saw that Hestia had taken out Ekans during our conversation and ran over to me and stood in place at the ready.
I looked over to check on Neptune and saw the Koffing was barely awake at all. A few short moments later he was also knocked out before Cassidy and Butch could reevaluate their plan. Neptune then spun over and shot a water gun to add on to the Raticates damage.
Starmie was the next to win as Misty yelled out for it to shoot a Thunderbolt and knocked out the soaked Raticate instantly. Both Cassidy and Butch looked shocked and weren't prepared for this at all.
Before they even had a chance to recall their pokemon Officer Jenny came sliding into the Lobby on her bike. She jumped out and landed behind them. Both turned around and jumped in shock but couldn't do anything before Officer Jenny pulled some quick karate moves and knocked them out.
After she cuffed them to her Bike, she brought out a pokeball and released a huge Arcanine and told him to canvas the area for any more members. He let out a quick deep bark and booked it out of the poke center.
She then turned to Misty and Me and gave us a smile. "Good work taking out those rocket pokemon. I'll make sure they go to league rehabilitation and lock these two up."
"Thanks for showing up after we won our battles. I wasn't sure what they would try with no pokemon left." I said as I knelt down and patted my two awesome pokemon. They followed my instructions to the letter and won quickly and decisively.
"Yeah, it wouldn't have been worse if James didn't show up in time to help. I only had Starmie on me due to my Psyduck being with Nurse Joy and I was sorely outnumbered." Misty spoke up as she recalled her Starmie after telling it did a good job.
"Well, I'll make sure to reward you both for your actions. You will both get their bounties inside your accounts by the end of the week." Officer Jenny stated and asked for our Trainer IDs to put them on file for the bounty collection.
It was nice to get some extra income out of this debacle and see my pokemon in action. I still haven't even gotten
my first official battle with someone. This doesn't even really count!
After we traded info with Officer Jenny, I heard the back doors swing open, and Jessie came running out with Nurse Joy following her at a more normal pace and someone else didn't even notice. Before I could even say anything, Jessie wrapped me in a super tight hug.
"Oh my god I was so worried. We watched your battle on the security cameras. You and your team did so amazing! I'm just so happy that you're okay!" Jessie kind of rambled that out to me but I could understand what she was trying to convey.
"We won and everyone is safe." I hugged her back tightly. It was nice to have someone worry about you. I didn't feel it that much in my past life and neither did James in his.
After we separated, I noticed Nurse Joy smirking at us as she gave Officer Jenny a run down about what happened. I also saw Misty talking to a black-haired teenager that almost made me gasp when I recognized him.
Ash Ketchum stood there in his normal Kanto outfit but he was a little bit taller and more fit than his 10-year-old self. On his shoulder was a Pikachu that looked exhausted. Pikachu must have helped the others keep power on and is still feeling the after effects from the Sparrow debacle.
Jessie interlaced our hands and tugged me over to Misty and Ash in my slight daze. Once we approached Misty noticed us and introduced themselves. "Hello my name is Misty Waterflower and this is my travel partner Ash Ketchum. He was in the back with his injured Pikachu while we fought the rockets." Misty gave a gesture to Ash who waved at us with a smile.
"I already met Jessie when we were in the back but it's nice to meet you." Ash said with his voice that sounded much deeper than I remember.
"Well, my name is James Blair and this is my girlfriend, Jessie Lillis. It was nice to battle with you Misty. I'm glad to see my pokemon were up to the challenge." I Introduced myself and Jessie, who waved when I said her name.
"Oh, you're also a battle style trainer James?" Ash asked with a confused expression on his face.
I chuckled a little. "Yes, I want to hopefully make it to the conference this year." I explained hopefully not as thick as Ash as he was in the anime.
"Awesome, we need to battle tomorrow! I'm also going for the conference and it would be nice to get some practice in." Ash exclaimed and Pikachu gave a tired fist pump as well.
"Well before you boys battle let's go back to bed it's late enough as is." Jessie had a point; it was pretty late but the adrenaline from the battle was still going through my system.
We both agreed to meet on the field in the morning so Jessie could watch before her shift started tomorrow and then we went our separate ways.
Me and Jessie trudged upstairs and she was weirdly silent when we finally got up to our room. My team went back to their sleeping spots and passed out pretty quick, probably tired due to the fight.
As I laid down in bed, I felt a weight lay down next to me and pulled the covers over herself. Jessie snuggled up to me and rested her head on my chest as she pulled me into a hug and held me tightly.
"I know we just started dating, but I don't want to sleep alone tonight." She must have been more freaked out from the battle then I thought. I responded by wrapping my arm around her waist and held her tightly to me and kissed her head goodnight before we both fell asleep.
Let me tell you it was the most peaceful sleep I have ever had.

Oh man this one was a doozy. Also, I decided I will go whatever speed I want for their relationship. I know people that started dating just after meeting each other so it's nothing new to me.
