This is my 'dumping ground' for ideas that I may or may not write more comprehensive stories. These will all be MHA, and will be about Midoriya. Why - because he's the main character and I like him.
Anyways, here's the first one. Also, spoilers at the end for those who aren't caught up with the manga or with One Piece.
Santoryu
A four year old Izuku Midoriya whimpered as his mother and father loaded him into their car. It seemed like everything had gone downhill for Izuku in the past week - he had been declared Quirkless by his doctor, his 'friends' had begun picking on him, the teachers at his school ignored him, and worst of all, his once best friend began to use him as target practice.
When Hisashi Midoriya had found all of this out, he was enraged. With small flecks of fire flying from his mouth, Hisashi had brought the full power of the law against Izuku's school - it helped that the Midoriya's, due to Hisashi's job, were also American citizens. For all its faults, America was vehemently against Quirk discrimination and, due to Izuku's dual citizenship, several powerful lawyers from the States had come fully armed and ready to do legal battle.
It didn't last long - seeing the full legal might, as well as the mass amount of evidence provided by Izuku's testimony and the help of a local police detective - the teachers had all been brought to justice. The cherry on top was that, in the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the faculty had all been members of the Meta Liberation Army.
It wasn't just the elementary school. The middle schools in the area were also filled with MLA members and sympathizers, and were cleaned out by a multitude of Heroes, including All-Might. Unfortunately, though this seemed like a good event, the potential backlash scared the Midoriya's straight.
"There's the possibility that the Meta Liberation Army will seek to send a message by...targeting you all." Detective Naomasa Tsukauichi had explained. "We could try Witness Protection, but there's the fear that the Police are compromised. Mr. Midoriya, you need to find a place where you and your family can hide for a while - a few years at most. I'm sorry we can't do more."
Hisashi had panicked - he didn't have anywhere to go. While in the mix of this panic, salvation had shone in the form of Inko's adopted brother. He was a sword-master who lived in the countryside, far away from the city and in such a remote location that no one would be able to find them.
He just hoped this man would also be able to help his son.
Izuku breathed in deeply as he stood outside UA. The university had been his dream school for most of his life and now...now he was going to prove that he could be a Hero. Walking past the gate with a large guitar case on his back, Izuku gave a small smile.
The written exam seemed to fly by, though Izuku wasn't worried about it. He had always been smart, and being homeschooled since he was four didn't really worry him.
Only partially paying attention to Present Mic's explanation - something about robots and points - Izuku stood with everyone else at his gate, adjusting the sash tied around his waist.
Izuku was distracted from his mental ruminations when he felt someone tapping him on the shoulder. Turning, Izuku looked at a guy around his age, who was glaring down at him through his glasses. "Excuse me, but can you tell me what you are doing with those-"
"AND GO!"
Ignoring Glasses, Izuku ran through the gate, a few students following his lead, before the rest got their asses in gear.
Izuku sighed as he watched another bot explode. '66 points huh. Not bad.' He thought as he began to make his way towards the exit. Just as he turned around, he felt the ground vibrate. Turning back around, Izuku's eyes widened as he saw a massive robot chugging down the fake street.
'That's a big fucking robot.' Izuku thought, a feral grin now adorning his face as his hands drifted to his waist. Taking his swords from their sheaths, Izuku placed one in each hand...before placing the third in his mouth, the hilt held between his teeth.
Slowly moving towards the robot, Izuku took notice of a girl trapped under a rock, directly in the path of the robot. 'Huh...that's probably a good spot to try this.' Moving over, Izuku stood in front of the girl directly in front of the robot. Holding his swords out in front of him, Izuku began spinning them.
'The nine mountains and eight seas...there is nothing I can't cut!' Izuku thought as he leapt at the robot.
"SANTORYU: SANZEN SEKAI!"
The roar was heard clearly by all the participants, as Izuku's form seemed to flash from the air to just behind the robot. His swords had stopped spinning and now held diagonal to each other. The robot also seemed to stop moving, before the top half slid completely off, avoiding all the students. As the top fell, Izuku carefully sheathed his swords before walking away.
Izuku's eyes twitched as he stared at his childhood 'friend'. Katsuki Bakugou hadn't changed much over the years, only growing taller and 'stronger', which had only served to fill his overconfidence and ego.
Bakugou had it out for Izuku since day one. He was angry that Izuku had scored higher than him on the entrance exam - due to the Rescue Points - and his anger only grew as Izuku scored more than him in the Quirk Assessment Test - without a Quirk! His other classmates were also stunned at this, but seemed to be taking it in stride.
Now, Class-1A was in their first Heroics class with All-Might as a teacher, and Izuku and Bakugou were up first. It was Izuku and that girl from the entrance exam - Ochako Uraraka - vs Bakugou and Glasses, or Tenya Iida. Right now, the objective was to get a paper mache bomb from the villains.
Izuku had left that to Uraraka, instead opting to go and face Bakugou. He had some logic behind it - if left unattended, Bakugou would certainly throw a wrench in whatever plan the Heroes came up with, so it would be better to face him and distract him.
But really, the swordsman just wanted to fight his old bully. He knew that Bakugu would most likely lose - his uncle was a demon at teaching him, so there was no way he would lose to someone who didn't have actual training - but...he also wanted a challenge. He had sized up his other classmates and only a few of them would be a challenge to him...and Bakugou was one of them.
Yea, his uncle had turned Izuku into a blood knight. But it was a small price to pay.
Back to the present, Izuku had calmly drawn his swords, placing the third one - a gift from his master - in his mouth. Bakugou's hands were sparking, and Izuku knew what he was going to do.
"DIE!" Bakugou roared as he fired off at Izuku, his right hand raised.
"Not today." Izuku replied, crossing his arms over his torso. "ONI...GIRI!"
In a flash, Izuku had lunged forward, intercepting Bakugou and slashing across the blonde's chest, his swords now parallel to his body with the tips facing the ground. Bakugou coughed as blood spurted from his chest and he collapsed.
Sheathing two of his swords, Izuku held Wado Ichimonji in his right hand. "All-Might," He spoke into the headsets they had been given "don't worry about the cut. It's shallow and looks worse than it actually is. That being said, he is incapacitated and will need to see Recovery Girl."
"R-Right." All-Might responded as he started at the outcome of the 'fight'. "Thank you young Midoriya."
Izuku nodded and walked away, intent on finding where Uraraka was and ending this.
He really wanted to nap.
(Several Months Later )
Izuku frowned as he saw the giant wreaking havoc. The creature - Gigantomachia - had defeated Mt. Lady and was on its way to carrying the rest of the PLF towards Shigaraki. It was also somewhat personal, as one of the villains on the creature's back was Re-Destro, former head of the Meta Liberation Army.
"Right, that isn't happening." He said before turning towards one of his classmates, Rikido Sato. "Sugarman, I need you to throw me at that thing."
"WHAT?" Sato yelled, confused. "Look, I don't think that's the best idea Ro-"
"I have a plan. Just trust me." Izuku responded, placing Wado Ichimonji in his mouth.
Throwing his hands up in the air, Sato conceded and grabbed Izuku by his collar. Quickly downing a large amount of sugar, Sato cocked his arm back.
"SUGAR...CANON!"
With a mighty yell, Sato launched Izuku at Gigantomachia's back. Izuku clenched his jaw hard, holding onto Wado with all his might, while raising his other swords so that they were in front of him. A black coloring then decorated all three of them, making all three appear dark as midnight.
"The nine seas and eight mountains...constitute one world. A thousand of them form a small chiliocosm! And when I gather and cube that chiliocosm, there's nothing I can't cut!"
A shout was heard from Machia's back - someone had seen him. But it was too late for them. Izuku began spinning his swords.
"SANTORYU OUGI: ICHIDAI SANZEN DAISEN SEKAI!"
Something flashed in everyone's vision as Gigantomachia, the unstoppable giant, began flying...scratch that, his top half went flying as members of the Front began to fall off. Izuku Midoriya was seen flying through the bisected parts of the monster, before he managed to turn his body and kick off a falling piece.
Landing on a part of Machia's arm, Izuku glared at Re-Destro, who glared back with all the hatred he possessed.
"You brat...who do you think you are?!" Re-Destro demanded, his body bulking up.
"My name is Izuku Midoriya, though you can call me Ronin. It seems you forgot how I was the center of the Hero Commission finding out about your little hate group almost 11 years ago."
Re-Destro's eyes widened before his glare returned, steam coming off his flesh. "You...you're that Quirkless brat that cost us the schools."
Izuku didn't bother commenting, instead assuming a stance. 'The nine seas and eight mountains...there's nothing I can't cut.'
"GO TO HELL!" Re-Destro roared as he lept at Izuku.
"SANTORYU: SANZEN SEKAI!"
It was over in a flash. Izuku appeared behind Re-Destro, his swords still spinning as the former leader of the Meta Liberation Front fell to his death, a cut from naval to scalp decorating his body.
Izuku leapt from the falling corpse of Gigantomachia onto a nearby rooftop, then turned to watch Re-Destro fall.
"It's not me who's going to hell."
DONE!
For those of you who didn't pick up, this is a Quirkless Izuku who was trained in swordsmanship by Roranoa Zoro of One Piece...or Mihawk, either or. He knows Santoryu and Haki, and that final moment was essentially Zoro's take down of Pica during Dressrosa. So yea. I didn't mention this above but if anyone wants to take an idea from this, feel free to. I just ask that you message me about it.
I know it was kinda short but...meh.
Anyways, I'll probably post something here once or twice a week. I'm mainly going to be using this as a way to get past writer's block. And expect the Meta Liberation Army to be taking center stage in most of these. There are reasons for this, with the primary two being: One, the MLA, at least to me, seemed like much more...intriguing villains than Shigaraki (though he still is a good villain) with more legit complaints against society. Two, I personally liked the MLA before it became the PLF, and part of this is due to their inspiration: The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants from the X-Men. These guys were some of my favorite villains from comics, and having Destro and by extension Re-Destro be Expy's of Magneto (also one of my fav villains ever) was nice. Meanwhile, Shigaraki, despite his growth, is still very, very much like the Joker...who, despite his popularity, has always been someone I hate as a villain. I could rant about that more, but I digress.
Next Time: Jackpot!
