Ochako walked through the entrance to the Gunhead agency just behind Shouto.
She kept a friendly smile on her face as a secretary checked both their IDs and nodded. "Good to see such positivity from such inspiring heroes." one of Gunhead's sidekicks commented to the duo as she led them through her agency.
"While you're here I'll be guiding you on patrol routes, proper takedown techniques, public relations, and worst of all-" She paused in her explanation. "-The dreaded paperwork." She finished.
"Aren't we going to be evaluated first?" Shouto asked. "Yes, but each agency has their own method for that. Gunhead asked me to give the both of you a tour of the agency before she checked you teo out." the sidekick explained as the duo followed.
"Is Gunhead going to be showing us how to perform certain takedowns?" Ochako asked the sidekick. "Yes, but she doesn't show everything on the first day." she explained while opening a door.
The duo found Gunhead calmly explaining the proper holding technique of a chokehold to a series of other interning kids. "The UA gals are here." The sidekick said before showing the both of them into the room.
"Hello Uraraka, Hello Todoroki. You two can set your bags along the wall then join the others in watching my demonstration." Gunhead instructed with a polite but excited tone. The duo nodded and followed her instructions.
It was going to be good.
Midoriya sighed as he finished his latest session with a client. Her Quirk had been a late bloomer and was quite volatile to her environment.
Short-out. A Quirk capable of messing with any electronic device to the point of permanently damaging even the most secure of devices.
Izuku was hard pressed to figure out the key to such a messy Quirk. He couldn't risk his laptop or his phone due to the range of the Quirk's effect so he had to go it bare handed.
Every device within her vicinity would short out and either black out or explode. None of the lights, appliances, or electronics worked in her house due to how it affected them. It was difficult to heat the home in the winter, cool in in the summer, and she had been ostracized by most of her community.
He was going to help her with the issues of her Quick; before she takes the fast way out and surpress it with drugs.
Don't get him wrong, there are times where Quirk suppressants were the only answer to a destructive Quirk. It's just not that every Quirk with destructive drawbacks had to be surpressed immediately.
It's not even the best strategy because the Quirk comes back with a vengeance when the drugs wear off. Which would lead to a spiral of higher dose suppressants for each session while the Quirk just grows stronger in return.
He was getting off topic.
The good thing was that he was making progress. With his help her bubble of influence had been reduced from seven meters to only four meters. She was actually showing signs of life rather than the crumbling hermit society was turning her into.
He'll pat himself on the back and buy some icecream for the two of them after they get her Quirk's influence to less than a meter.
He was about to make another step when he felt a strange pressure bearing down on him. He still had the instinct to dodge the small object that was thrown at his neck.
He spared a glance in the dire tion the pressure was coming from. Finding a slowly emerging mass of girls with anger in their eyes.
It didn't take long for Midoriya to realize who they were.
Quirk traffickers.
The same Quirk traffickers who had tried to kidnap Emi and Tokoyami.
Oh, Well.
Their mistake.
Kamui Woods was busy with her current patrol when she heard the sounds of someone screaming. She rushed towards the source and found a most disturbing sight.
Bodies.. Bodies of numerous criminals she had seen on police computers.
All strewn about with the park.
Many seemed to posses broken limbs, slashed up flesh, or even heavy burn scars.
There was only one that wasn't in the same condition as the others. A woman known as Barracuda known for her ruthless nature and body count.
An A ranked villain.
An A ranked villain currently rocking back and forth in the fetal position muttering about some green haired monster.
She called in the nearest station in a heart beat as she inspected many of the other criminals. It was honestly amazing that none of them were actually dead, though many were probably wishing they were.
Best she update the vigilante/villain department for some kind of answer as to who could do such a thing.
It would be best to hide the blood stained shirt from Mitsuki as quickly as possible. He was lucky enough to avoid getting his bag stained with blood, but his shirt was a different story.
There was also the soot and ash that he wasn't going to explain to her.
He just hopes that auntie never finds them before he can get the stains out.
Tokoyami was practically giddy at the news. The entire gang of Quirk traffickers taken down by one brutal villain/vigilante.
As he read out the injuries he could only think of one person with the kind of power to do such a thing.
It's something worth celebrating in his opinion. Ever if the others won't fully understand, even though Emi doesn't fully understand, he'll gladly celebrate the fate awaiting those bitches.
He couldn't believe it.
The nerd actually had it in him to beat down the villains without remorse.
He'll give Deku a pat on the back, but only after scolding him for almost exposing himself.
Quirks be damned. No matter how many Quirks the nerd had, he couldn't let him just go crazy with them. (Even if it was completely justified in this instance).
So he'll give the nerd a piece of his mind.
It was a strange sight. Seeing the police and detectives work desperately to connect the dots on who could have done such a crime.
Who could have beaten twenty-three women (all with powerful Quirks) and left them all in a state of absolute shock.
The only answer they could get was the constant muttering from Barracuda. This 'Green Haired Devil' that appeared out of nowhere and beat them within an inch of their lives.
The three issues in identifying this new player was time, location, and description.
The level of violence that this devil displayed has rarely been matched. The only ones capable of doing so were either incarcerated, dead, or served outside of such domains.
Villains like Toxic Chainsaw and Muscular are locked up in Tartarus.
Vigilantes like Knuckle Duster and Ground Zero are either not active during the time or were too far away at the time.
This isn't even getting into the fact that none of them matched the description given for the 'Green Haired Devil'.
Some crazy being wearing an Oni mask and breathing fire. With clothing more fitting a special ops soldier than a villain or vigilante.
The only real piece of evidence being that they had green wavy hair that flowed like a willow in the wind.
Tsukauchi just groaned as she worked on the board in an attempt to create some comprehensive file.
Aizawa sighed as she read the text from Tsukauchi. She had some new player that she would have to investigate other than the Guild.
She just hopes that the commission isn't going to try something crazy.
Who was she kidding, they'd strangle their own family if it meant getting something done.
So all she can do is follow orders and take care of it.
Nedzu was chuckling to himself as he looked through the information splayed out on his desk.
He had requested a file on this 'Green Haired Devil' after hearing about it.
And he knows just who it is.
He has his own board; one covered with various points about the Guild.
And Izuku Midoriya.
This 'Green Haired Devil' is probably some sort of one off incident. The identities of those injured gave him a third connection that just made it even more evident who was in the Guild.
Izuku Midoriya: Possessing an actual Quirk (possible connection to All For One), and most likely Owl of the Guild. Has intimate knowledge of Quirks and an interest in the future of Quirks.
Kirishima Eijirou: A homeschooled boy with courageous spirit and a friendly attitude. Currently working part-time at a gym and a friend to the student Mina Ashido. Most likely Fortress due to similar build and hair color.
And now.
Tokoyami Fumikage: Son of the now deceased Pro Heroine Blackout and older brother to Emi Fumikage. Went missing several months ago after a suspected break in, though it seemed that they had fled far earlier than that. Without a doubt Shadow due to mannerisms and height.
He also found two other boys that lived with Midoriya; Katsuki and Hitoshi Bakugou. It was quite likely that they were also in the Guild, but he hadn't fully looked into them yet.
Regardless, the pieces are coming together. The puzzle left out to him by Midoriya, or even All For One, was going to be solved quite soon.
"What made you think that was a good idea?" Mitsuki lectured him as he bowed sorrowfully.
"You could have gotten hurt, they might have tracked you based on finger prints or dead skin, they might have put a kill order on you." she continued. Midoriya could only mutter apologies in a mantra as Mitsuki continued.
"Do you even know the proper way to clean blood out of a shirt? you can't just throw it in the washer, that's how I found out about this shit Izuku." Mitsuki sighed after this. Izuku just glanced upwards as he listened to her.
"Was mom in a gang in high school or something?" Hitoshi asked while watching the scene unfold. "Hell if I know, wouldn't be surprised if she was though." Katsuki responded.
"So Midoriya; no vigilante work, no councilor seeking, and no leaving the house. Consider yourself grounded for the week." Mitsuki concluded.
Gunhead had a strange air to her. Not in any malicious way, just odd. She would have odd mannerisms with her speech, or make strange gestures. Shouto couldn't really wrap his head around it.
He'll probably just asked Uraraka if she noticed it as well.
At least she gave proper teaching for the future of heroism. She didn't try to glamorize it, but she wasn't just a pessimist. She would give hints and advise on what each student could improve upon.
She didn't even give him shit for being a guy.
It was a drastic difference when compared to life with Endeavor. He was respected here for his strengths and given hints on how to cover his weaknesses. He wasn't beaten down and mocked when he tried something.
He could get used to life like this, but he knows that life isn't always going to be this good. So he might as well enjoy all the positivity while he can.
The city was quiet during this time. Heroines and civilians walked these darkened streets while hushed whispers traveled with them.
There was a strange fear over the news of this new villain, this 'Green Haired Devil'. There were rumors and chatter running rabidly throughout the Underworld and its leaky holes. Any sort of connection was valued, and any form of information was traded.
It was the kind of place that Tokoyami enjoyed the most. The market of information that spurred from any new development was impressive in many regards. The exchange that followed was somewhere between a mad house and a back room deal; always gobbling up any information that could be squeezed from whatever sources could be found.
He made himself known across the Underworld by watching this exchange. He can catch the smallest amount of details being exchanged throughout the Underworld.
It was also entertaining to see the vapid rumors and ravenous attempts to spin the information into one or another's party.
Just watching he surpressed a laugh, then he noticed something off.
There was someone else in his system. It was a small blip, there for no more than a second, but someone just hacked into his system. A system just recently upgraded by the duo of mad geniuses that Midoriya had recruited.
This could mean trouble.
She wasn't sure what to think as Gunhead gave each of them a warning before their patrol. About this new villain called the Green Haired Devil.
It was very worrying for Ochako, as she knew someone who would qualify as a green haired devil. But she pushed this fear down as Gunhead gave them a rundown of their suspected Quirk and and their choice of attire.
It was a small mercy that few of the details actually matched that if Midoriya.
Best that she check on him, make sure he didn't do something stupid.
Denki was honestly having the time of his life at the moment. Sero was out of the apartment for the night, and he had a stack of movies all ready.
He was busy preparing some popcorn when there came a knock at the door.
He cautiously glanced over, looking through the eye hole when he reached the door. He couldn't see anyone at the door, which set off red flags.
He retreated with caution before pulling a bat out from the living room. Midoriya didn't let him take the Shock Baton with him so he had to make due. He had it raised, ready to strike at a moments noticed as he opened the door.
What he found wasn't some villain, or a petty crook.
Rather, it was a familiar purple midget with a rapidly draining look on her face.
"Hey good looking, how about you and me have some fun?" She asked the moment she got a good look at him. Denki was honestly caught off guard, so he closed the door in her face.
She jammed her foot into the gap before the wood could make it to the frame. "Now now, don't be shy. I just want a bit of fun" She said while trying to push the door open.
It was then that he heard the sound of a karate chop and a groan from the girl that he looked outside.
He saw his neighbor, Takeyama Yuu, dragging the midget girl away. "Sorry Denki, I sent her out to get me some sweet buns and she was taking a while." She waved at him while going. "No... No problem. Just wondering why you have a hero student with you?" Denki responded.
"Oh, well don't tell anyone but-" She leaned in to tell him "-I'm Mount Lady, pretty cool right." she said. Denki looked her once over and thought about it. "If you're Mount Lady, why are you living in an apartment complex like this when you could be living in a condo?" he asked.
She blinked for a second. Then she turned to the midget girl, then she turned back to Denki. She rubbed the back of her neck and chuckled. Denki held up his hand; "Don't worry, you don't have to tell if you don't want to. Have a good night." he waved her off before closing the door.
He turned away and let out a sigh of relief before sliding down on the door. He rubbed his head before getting back up, gathering the now burnt up popcorn.
He laid down on the couch and closed his eyes. He wasn't in the mood to watch any movies tonight. His mind was to busy wondering about Mount Lady, and why she was staying at an apartment like this.
And that's a wrap. I want to clarify one thing from last chapter's question. It's not so much that I'm going full blast on the one-shot fanfiction based around there being alternate sources of power for our boys here. It's just that I'll write a chapter when I feel like it (or when I have an idea that's fresh in my mind) and post it there while this fic will still hold most of my attention.
Anyway, hope you all enjoyed this chapter. See you all next time.
