Chapter 15: Mauville Terror
Ash, Elline, Lillie, Gladion, and Zinnia are now at Mauville City, as they heard from Wattson that Team Rocket is there wreaking havoc on the New Mauville. They go as quickly as they can
Ash greets Wattson at the Mauville City and he says, "It is good to see you Wattson."
"Likewise, Ash. I still remember the good old days of how you beat me in my own gym." Wattson says with a giant laugh.
Ash is a little annoyed and he says, "I don't think it is the time right now. Can tell us where Team Rocket is? This is very important."
Wattson says, "They are at the New Mauville, which has been relocated to the basement of this building like thing. They seem to be searching for some sort of gem while destroying this place like there is no tomorrow."
Elline says, "They are just destroying the place on purpose, their true goal is to let you call us here so that they can target us. We have the gem and they know it. But they don't know where we were, so they think that you can help them find us."
"Oh, you must be the famous Electric Type Actress Elline, right? It is an honor to meet you." Wattson says as then they follow him to the underground.
In the underground, Livid and a boy are destroying the place with Salamence and Magnezone, and the boy asks, "Livid, are you sure that Ash Ketchum will come?"
"Of course, Blitz...I'm still mad at the fact that they used the Dragon Gem to trick us like that..." Livid says with anger, but then, they quickly dodge the attack from the Dragon Pulse from Zygarde.
"What is going on here? What is a Zygarde doing here?" Blitz asks.
"It is just like that Yveltal before, that means Ash Ketchum and his girls have arrived." Livid says.
"I am sure that you really are sharp." Ash says as they turn to the man. "And I see you are still trying to annoy us, Livid."
"What if we are, you tried to make me chase you for a fake Dragon Gem! And I am still mad at that." Livid says with anger.
"Oh, should I suppose to be scared?" Zinnia says as she transforms back into herself.
Elline is feeling dizzy a little as she faints on the spot, and Lillie asks, "Elline? What is going on here?"
Livid notices how Elline is holding the Electric Gem and she says, "This is bad, we can't let it absorb the gem!"
"Leave it to me." Blitz says as he creates a robot. "With this Great Destroyer, we can use the beams to shoot at the gem, so that it will fly away from her hand."
"We are not going to let you stop the process." Zinnia says as she sends out her own Salamence. "Use Dragon Pulse!"
"You use the same."
As both Pokemon charge at each other, Ash says, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu fires the energy at the machine, but it doesn't seem to be hit. "What?"
"Even though we are different from those goons known as Jessie and James, they did give us good information and that is to make sure that all the machines are electric proof because of your Pikachu."
"Then how about we use Fighting move!" Lillie says as she sends out Gallade, using Close Combat to hit the machine, causing it to miss the attack.
"You are not going to stop us!" Blitz yells as he presses another button, causing the robot to slap at Gallade, causing it to fall to the ground.
"Gallade! Are you okay?" Lillie says with horror. Gladion says, "Silvally, I need your assistance."
After the Pokemon appears, Livid says, "Isn't that the artificial Pokemon that is capable of switching its type by using the memory discs?"
"Maybe it will be a great souvenir for our boss as well." Blitz says as the machine fires a net, trying to capture the Silvally.
"Use Razor Wind!" Gladion yells as Silvally breaks the net, and then it goes for Multi Attack, destroying the machine.
"No! My machine!" Blitz says with horror, and at the same time, Elline absorbs the rest of the gem and Livid says, "Damn it, we are late again. We should retreat for now."
"Retreat? I haven't even got to battle them!" Blitz says.
"Do you want to rebel against the boss' orders? Get the gem, or when they absorb the gem, we should retreat." Livid says as Blitz grits his teeth. "This isn't over, we will be back for the loss of machine."
After they are gone, Wattson says, "What happened to Elline?"
"It happens a lot of times, we must take her to a place so she can rest." Ash says, and Wattson says, "Come to my gym, she can rest there."
Ash and the others nod as they quickly head to the gym so that they can watch over Elline.
In Mauville City, Lillie says, "So this is how you guys become Pokemon? Just go to that specific place and then absorb the gem?"
"Yeah, right now Elline is absorbing the Electric Gem's powers..." Ash says, just then, they see the door open and both Diantha and David come into the room. Diantha says, "I heard everything from Delia. How is my daughter, is she alright?"
Ash says, "Right now she is still sleeping, we are not sure when she will wake up. But what are you doing here?"
David says, "I was studying under Wattson and I see Mom coming here, and then I learn that Elline is in trouble. What did you guys do to her?"
"Let's say that she absorbs one of the 18 Infinity Gems, the Electric Type one. It won't damage her life, but she will have the powers to change into Electric Type Pokemon."
"So the time has come..." Diantha says with a sigh, "Elline did tell me that she wants to do this."
"Yeah." Zinnia says. After waiting for a while, Elline finally wakes up and she says, "Did it work?"
"Work what?" Ash asks, and Elline notices Diantha and David are there and she asks, "What the...what are you two doing here?"
"I heard the news from Delia about you, so I come to find you, as for David, let's say that he was here to study about machines under Wattson."
"Oh...what I mean about did it work, is that can I become an Electric Type Pokemon?" Elline asks.
"You can try it out." Ash says as Elline tries to concentrate, and then it becomes a small Pichu. David says, "Elline...you are a Pichu..."
Elline is also surprised as she accidentally releases a little of Electricity, Ash says, "It is not yet skilled at storing electricity. It may send out a jolt if amused or startled."
"I can tell, she must be startled." Lillie says.
After changing it back, she tries to change into another one, and she becomes a Toxel, who starts to act like a baby, and then they change it back and Elline says, "Wow...the feeling is quite weird."
"It sure is weird, but you can do some benefits as well. If you change into a Rotom, you can possess the appliances if you want to." Ash says.
"So I can use the freezer to freeze the food that I want to eat, or use the Microwave to heat up, I can also use the Washing Machine on my own...that sure is convenient." Elline says.
"And if you become a Morpeko, let's say that you'll be hungry every time in the Hangry mode?" David asks, and Lillie says, "That might be true. Hunger hormones affect its temperament. Until its hunger is appeased, it gets up to all manner of evil deeds."
"I think I'll try to make sure that I am not going to continuously change into that Pokemon..." Elline says.
"And there is Luxray, you can have the X-Ray vision that you can see what is behind the walls and places as well." Ash says, "That way you can see if there are perverts that are looking at you or something else."
"A pervert doesn't want to see Luxray, you know." Elline mutters. "But now I think about it, I can also become a Legendary Pokemon, right?"
"You'll have to train some more, and the strongest Electric Type Legendary is Zekrom. I remember there is one time where Zekrom causes Pikachu unable to use Electricity."
"How is that even possible? A Pikachu who can't use Electric moves? That sounds like torture to it." Lillie says and Pikachu nods in agreement, he really feels like torture as he loses to a beginner Snivy who is level 5, while he has what level? He can't count since he has traveled four regions at that time.
"And there are even some electric type Pokemon, like Pulsle and Minun, they can help giving electricity as well, maybe it will be helpful if my machine needs a lot of energy."
"You want to treat me as your lab rat? Forget about that." Elline says with annoyance, and the others can only laugh.
After training for a while, Ash asks, "But Wattson, can I ask you a question?"
"What is it, my boy?" Wattson asks.
"When does this city turns out to be like a giant complex building? I mean, it is really different compared to the last time I stepped foot in here." Ash says.
"I see what you are thinking about, you see, a few years ago, we decided to redevelop it, modeling the design on that of the Lumiose City of Kalos. Due to this, its layout has changed dramatically, becoming a mostly-indoor city with various shops and floors." Wattson says.
"Really? Lumiose City of the Kalos Region. That sure is a great place to explore." Ash says.
"I am not surprised if you have gone there before." Wattson says, "The Gym Leader Clemont has been speaking highly about you after all."
"We do travel together for a while." Ash says. "I am surprised that you know Clemont as well."
"We Electric Type Gym Leaders, especially the ones who like to invent stuff, will talk to each other and share our inventions." Wattson says. "We also have Volkner and Sophocles, who recently joined us."
"I see, they are also smart inventors as well." Ash says.
"Hey, Ash!" Just then, Elline and Lillie suddenly grab his hands, and Ash asks, "What's the matter, girls?"
"Since we are in the largest city of Hoenn, we want you to help us with something." Elline says.
"Let me guess? Shopping?" Ash asks, "I am not going to get out of this, right?"
"Of course not. Let's go now." As the girls drag Ash away, Gladion asks Zinnia, "Aren't you going to follow them as well?"
"Just because I am a girl doesn't mean that I like shopping, I am from the Dragon Village, we live a normal life with the Dragons, so shopping doesn't suit me well."
"I see." David says, "That sure is surprising."
"Though I heard that your sister is a famous actress, right?" Gladion asks. "What do you think about the movies she acted in?"
"I can say that I was proud of her, with Mom being the famous actress as well, she did a great job in the production field. As for me, I just wanted to become an inventor."
"I can tell." Zinnia says as they decide to talk some more.
Here is a new chapter, and Elline is the fourth one that absorbs the gem. I hope you like this chapter, and the next chapter, we will be having Ash sending another letter to the next girl. Guess who will be the next one?
