Chapter 9: Family Bonding Beta: Darklord331
– Start –
Karasu quickly wove through a series of hand-seals before he breathed a roaring flame that cut through the mist and hit a large number of Gato's thugs, before running into the fray himself.
"Sakura, get everyone out of here!" Kakashi said as Naruto's clones met Gato's thugs.
Kakashi and Zabuza were quickly dealing with anyone that managed to get through the wall of Naruto's clones and Karasu who was quickly dealing with the thugs with his sword.
"Pinky?" Anko asked, groggily. "Did I miss much?"
"Ah, Zabuza and the hunter ninja tried to kill us, but Sasuke took care of the hunter ninja. Zabuza is now helping us and I don't know what happened to the hunter ninja and..." Sakura tried to say, before being cut off by Anko.
"Whoah, calm down there pinky." Anko said, putting her hand on Sakura's mouth. "I get the gist of it, guess I got knocked out by his sword huh?"
Sakura nodded in confirmation.
"Guess Uchiha here, got knocked out too?"
Sakura nodded again, in silence.
"Guess it's being wrapped up now," Anko said, looking at the fighting on the bridge. "Guess I better help then." she said, sighing as she started to heal Sasuke's wounds.
As Sakura looked on, in fascination.

Eventually, the fighting stopped and the last fighter surrendered. The defeated mercenaries were all rounded up and captured by the shinobi and processed to an area to be held by the overjoyed townspeople.
With the tired shinobi, giving watch until they could be properly arrested.
The building itself was nothing extraordinary, just an empty nondescript building, with Karasu himself on watch sitting on top of the ledges overlooking the first floor filled with sleeping prisoners.
The sound of something landing on the ledge quickly made him look and the sight put a smile to his face.
"Hey," Karasu said, smiling. "Nice to see you're doing well."
"Thanks to you," Anko said, taking a seat next to him. "Should you be drinking that?" she asked, seeing the alcohol he was holding.
"Old enough to kill, old enough to drink, remember?" Karasu asked, chuckling.
"That's true." she replied, laughing a bit.
Silence ensued as both teacher and student stood watching the prisoners sleep, as the sounds of partying and crashing waves sounded.
"Gato escaped," Anko said, sighing. "He got away around the time when the conflict happened. I got the location of the base, you'll be joining me tomorrow, maybe later. See if we can stop this before it spirals out of control."
"Let's do it later." Karasu said, thoughtfully. "There may be some thugs still at the base."
"Here let me get a bottle." she said, after a moment of silence.
She quickly left before coming back with a bottle of alcohol and pouring a glass.
"To Team 13's first C-Rank mission and for many to come," she said, raising her cup for a toast.
"And hopefully not as eventful," Karasu said, chuckling a bit before bumping his own glass.
Their glasses made a sound before both drank their alcohol.
Karasu immediately started coughing, as Anko started laughing at his reaction.
"First time I'm guessing?" she asked, trying to keep her laughter in place.
"Oh? How could you tell?" Karasu spat back, sarcastically.
After Karasu's shift was over, Team 13 quickly went down to find Gato's base, and after dispatching some thugs who were guarding, quickly went through the documents.
Looking at the stack of documents at the head of the table, Karasu banged his head on the table as his sensei was looking over another set of documents.
"He's long gone." Anko confirmed.
"The land of water is the only place that he was trying to enforce complete control over because he made sure word never got out. He still has branches and branches of business elsewhere, though he may lose some rep when people find out about this." She said, with a sigh.
"I doubt it." Karasu said. "Money makes the world turn, and it seems like Gato has stashes everywhere."
Karasu picked his head up from the table. "So what now?"
"We return home," Anko said, eventually. "We bring everything with us, and summarize it in a report."
"Is that it?" Karasu asked, incredulously. "We just leave everything here?"
"Of course, not." she said, taking out a scroll. "We seal them, and give them to the Hokage later."
– Line Break –
"Raikiri!" Karasu yelled, slamming the hand into the wall causing his entire forearm to bury into the stone.
Breathing heavily, he took out his hand from the wall, staring at his stats.

Leaping a fair distance away from the target, Karasu began weaving hand signs and focused his chakra, as lightning-shaped and formed to an edge on his hand.
Letting the moment sit for a second, he rushed to the target, as his eyes looked upon the target. His hand thrust out, breaking the wall and entering concrete, his arm engulfed, reaching to his elbows in the wall.
Karasu after a while started to go back before seeing a flash of orange near one of the tree openings. Investigating the color, Karasu made his way into a clearing where Team 7 was meeting.
"Hey," Karasu said, leaning against a tree.
"Karasu! What are you doing here?!" Naruto said, getting near his face.
"Naruto! Stop pestering him!" Sakura said, whacking him in the head.
Sasuke grunted in acknowledgment.
"Well? What are you doing here? Spying on us?" Naruto said, rubbing his head trying to understand. "Well even if you were spying, which of course you would, for the future Hokage–" Naruto tried to say before being interrupted by Sasuke.
"Your optimism makes me sick sometimes." Sasuke interrupted. "As if a no-named orphan like you will ever reach my level as if you can become hokage."
"Say that again! You bastard!" Naruto yelled.
"What do you want me to say? That you are useless?"
"Sasuke enough," Karasu said, getting in between Naruto and Sasuke.
"Why should I?" Sasuke said in retaliation. "Both of them should just give up now and leave this team, maybe then I'll get something like you."
Sasuke raised his arm in a seal that many from the academy remembered. Karasu mirrored him closely.
After a few moments, they suddenly sprinted at each other.
They collided in the middle as they caught each other's fists, putting them in a struggle, their sharingans activated.
Karasu kicked, aiming for Sasuke's head which was blocked. Karasu quickly adjusted and tried to grab his face, Sasuke barely blocked with his elbow.
Sasuke jabbed with his right hand, with Karasu ducking underneath it. Sasuke punched straight down, Karasu narrowly avoided it and countered with a jab of his own. Sasuke blocked it, and Karasu swung with his opposite hand, and Sasuke blocked with his shoulder.
He tried to hit Karasu's stomach, but he caught his fist. Karasu then used the opportunity to spin Sasuke around and attack, he blocked the strike.
Karasu grabbed his hand and made hand signs after kicking Sasuke a distance away. Cupping his hand near his face, Karasu released a stream of fire that was quickly going towards Sasuke.
Sasuke himself leaped back and weaved his own hand signs and spewed out his own fire to cancel Karasu's jutsu.
The meeting of the two fire jutsu caused a reaction in which both jutsu were canceling each other out, in a blaze of fire.
Sasuke canceled out his fire jutsu and leaped back trying to find Karasu. As he was scanning the area, he was suddenly uppercut by Karasu who used shunshin in front of him.
In mid-air, Sasuke flipped and threw shurikens at Karasu, who leapt to the tree to dodge.
Their eyes locked onto each other as their sharingan blazed.
Sasuke wasted no time as he dashed forward at his brother, Karasu sidestepped the punch that was aimed for his head, skilfully turning around and landing a roundhouse kick at Sasuke's back, who stumbled forward at the force of the kick.
Sasuke growled before charging again, this time going for feint by going for his opponent's stomach, quickly changing stances, and went for a sweeping kick, intending to knock his feet out from under him.
Karasu dodged both attacks by jumping over him before striking a palm thrust at Sasuke's chest, sending him skidding backward before he found his footing.
Sasuke quickly dashed forward again in an attempt to hit him in the chest, he only managed to hit the air before he was sent flying when Karasu slipped under his guard and uppercutted him in the chin.
While still in mid-air, Sasuke could only grunt before Karasu appeared above him, twisting his body to slam an axe-kick into his brother's midsection, sending him crashing to the ground.
As the dust cleared, Sasuke laid on the ground, coughing in pain as he panted and spat out the blood in his mouth where he had bit his lip. Karasu landed on the ground as he stared at his brother.
"Are you done yet?" Karasu asked.
Sasuke spat out some of the blood in his mouth, his eyes glaring at Karasu, before dashing forward again.
Karasu tensed his body to dodge before something grabbed Sasuke and forced him to stop.
"Sasuke." Kakashi said, suddenly appearing. "Now, would anyone care to fill me in?"
