Izuku's POV

Raising his left hand he focused on the Spirits of the Wind. His right arm was hanging awkwardly at his side. The shoulder was dislocated by one of the drug traffickers.

Izuku had not planned on attacking the drug traffickers tonight. Not until he heard the second part of their deal. It wasn't just trigger that they were selling. Apparently they were testing out a new drug that could supress quirks faster than the current quirk suppressant. They were working on a more advanced form that could destroy the quirk factor entirely.

Knowing he had to stop this before it got out onto the streets he sent his location out and broke into the warehouse. His presence seemed to be expected as the drug dealers did not hesitate to attack him. Parts of the criminal underworld still tried to "reason" with him. Slowly they were beginning to understand that he wouldn't turn against his morals.

Early into the fight he had dropped mid range trackers into each of the pockets. It had been disguised as a failed attempt at an attack. If any of them got away he wanted to know where they went.

Orion had made the trackers to ensure that if Izuku got kidnapped he could send Eraser and Tsukauchi to recover him. Extras were made so that he could do the same for criminals. The range would allow them to track within a few cities around them. Any further and Orion would need to build a signal booster.

Despite them being smarter than the average criminal he was able to take down three of the four dealers. The fourth was a dark haired young man in his early twenties. It was difficult to tell what the man's quirk was.

Izuku didn't think it was physical. The man so far hadn't used it against him if it was. Most likely he had a mental quirk or maybe he was like Izuku. One without a quirk at all. There was no telling which was correct. Not without finding out who he was or asking.

As the man swung a knife at Izuku, where had they come from, he side stepped it. Wind spirits threw the drug dealer back more on instinct than any conscious attempt on his part.

The man recovered after a moment. Then they just stared at each other neither moving an inch. Izuku while injured could keep go like this indefinitely. This man however probably couldn't.

The fingers on his left hand twitched and the wind gave a slight gust in response. For his part the villain twitched eyeing Izuku carefully. Was the battle going to continue? Or would they find a way to stop this battle before his backup had arrived?

The man said coldly, "We can't keep going like this Kaze. You're badly injured and I'm sure that you sent the location to your ally. Which means your allies are likely on their way."

"What would you suggest then?"

The man grinned but it didn't reach his eyes as he said, "Let me go and we can settle this another night. Obviously I will not get the Trigger as I was promised. And they will not get the suppressants."

Izuku's first thought was to tell the man to fuck off. His injuries were serious but not life threatening. Continuing this fight would be impractical. There was no telling how long it would take for Tsukauchi and Eraser to arrive. If he agreed it there would be time for another chase a different night. But he couldn't just let the man leave with the drugs. So a compromise. At least this time.

So he compromised, "Leave both sets of drugs. Trigger and Suppressants and you can go. I still have a trick up my sleeve if you want to try your luck."

A flash of pure unadulterated hated crossed the man's face. However he did pull out two cases from the inside of his jacket. There was only the briefest moment of hesitation before the man slowly placed them on the ground. Then nudged them towards Izuku.

It only took a few seconds to ensure that both were full of Trigger and an unknown drug. No words were exchanged as he let the man go. This time he had allowed it but next time there was no way he would allow it. Even doing so now made him feel sick to his stomach.

Shaking his head Izuku knew there was no going back now. The first order of business now was to secure the remaining criminals. He used his makeshift capture tape to tie them up.

Once they were tied up the next important business was to relocate his shoulder. Glancing around the building he looked for the best spot to push his shoulder back into place. Choosing a pillar he did exactly that. Only wincing slightly as he pushed it back into place.

The door was then kicked in a second later and the police rushed in guns drawn. Upon seeing him the guns were lowered. Sansa raised a hand in greeting before going to check the criminals. A moment later Tsukauchi and Eraser walked in. Izuku almost faded back into the shadows at the sight of the detective.

However Tsukauchi's dark eyes fell upon him a moment later. Their gazes locked and Izuku couldn't bring himself to hide again. It seemed that their conversation was finally going to happen. Even if he didn't want to have it. If he could avoid it forever he would.

Eraser was the first to make his way over to Izuku. The man said gruffly, "You had us worried when you didn't show up on the usual patrol route. What were you thinking going on a drug bust on your own? The last time you went alone like this you ended up in the hospital."

Izuku blinked at the man in surprise. They cared enough to notice he wasn't in his usual routes? Sure Izuku had felt his phone buzzing with messages but he assumed it was just the two checking in. It wasn't unusual after all.

Izuku rubbed at the back of his hooded head as he said, "I wasn't intending to go in alone. It was supposed to be a simple information gathering night. Then I heard what they were exchanging."

Izuku held out both of the cases that held the drugs. Eraser took them with a raised eyebrow. When he opened the first case there was a flicker of fury in his dark eyes.

"Trigger," snarled the hero.

Izuku said nodding to the other case, "That's not the worst of it. The other one is a quirk suppressant much stronger than what's currently on the market. From what I heard they are working on a drug that will damage or destroy the quirk factor."

The hero and detective shared a look of horror. Exactly. That drug could very well destroy the hero society. It was quirks that kept their society going the way it was. Those with strong heroic quirks were kept on a pedestal. Everyone else had to cater to them. With the quirk destroying drug everything would change again.

Izuku admitted after a moment, "In exchange for the drugs I let one of them go," both men opened their mouths as if to yell at him for his stupidity, "Wait. I had a backup plan in place just in case this had happened. During the fight before they dislocated my shoulder I dropped trackers into each of their pockets. So if we wait long enough we can catch the entire group making the second drug."

Hero and detective shared a look before Eraser grunted, "Good work but do go after them alone this time. We will go as a group to bring them down."

Izuku was too tired to argue. So he agreed, "Alright together then. I need to go..."

Izuku didn't get very far before a hand closed around his collar. Eraser said, "Oh no you don't. You and Tsukauchi are going to speak and I'm going to help the officers take these guys off while you do so."

There was no arguing with the hero. His black eyes blazed red with his quirk activation. That stopped Izuku from making any more attempts to argue. It seemed he would not be able to avoid this any longer.
