Hello! Hope you all had a good 4th of July! This is the first in a two part revision update post. After the revision update, I will delete all the previous revision updates to let everyone know updates are on! This is just an update to tell you what will change when then occurs. I am looking at a mid-july deadline for these revisions. I have already completed the first fifteen chapters of revisions/additions/removals.

Here is a shortlist of revisions:

General

-I will be completely deleting both Odyn Sand and Ellion of Volantis from the story. Don't worry. If you enjoyed their character arcs, I am in the process of planning (very early stages) their own fics. I just felt they were out of place in this story and shoved in there. Therefore to minimize length, we will be deleting them.

-A full grammatical overhaul. I will put my BA in English with concentration in Creative Writing (Soon to be MA in two semesters) to good use. Therefore, it will be necessary to re-read earlier chapters when the revisions are applied. It will be drastically different in terms of mechanics, grammar and polish. However, it will be stylistically the same so if you did not like my writing style it won't really change.

-Removal of random references to other things such as song lyrics, other games, and 2018 internet memes. I was not joking when I said I wrote this in high school. As such we will be remove the cringe effective immediately.

-Additional chapters and additional of POVs of important characters. Self-explanatory. With the removal of three full characters, there has to be something to fill the void.

-The plot will reset to THE POINT WHERE STAFFORD CHOSES BETWEEN ARYA AND SANSA (thereabouts given the full Hands Tournament Arc rework).

-General housekeeping like chapter titles are coming! Just know that the planned release of the revisions is sometime around the week of July 19th-23.

Characters

-As said in the general revision chart, Odyn Sand and Ellion of Volantis don't exist in the context of this story anymore. The focus was meant to be Stafford. Therefore, they get in the way mostly and have no real reason to be there. I'm still debating on including Daenerys in the early part of the story. I have outlined two scenarios in which she might be, but I am not certain which scenario I will take.

-Stafford is undergoing a major character overhaul. While re-reading, I think he could be characterized much better. Still I am adamant about him not being a bad character even in his current state. The main problem I had with his character is that I made him an over idealized copy-paste of Robert Baratheon. That is not going to be the case after the revisions. You will very quickly see that Stafford's personality shift.

-Renly was far too OOC. That will change. Stannis is going to be playing a much larger role in the story, while Renly will not. Expect Tywin to also play a major role with Stafford (hence why he's named Stafford in the first place).

-A new OC Baratheon will be introduced. He will have early chapters to replace content that will be deleted with the removal of Ellion and Odyn. He is a very important character. That is all I am saying about him. More information about him will be released when the semi re-write happens.

-The all important "Did I change the pairing for Stafford". Well, you'll find out. Suffice it to say, there is more content between Stafford, Arya and Sansa. The love triangle's execution was beyond horrible. However, in the revised outline (and in the revised chapters already written) it is much better in my opinion.

-The ages of the characters will still follow the TV show. As much as I hated Season 8, I liked how they aged up a majority of the cast. So that will still be the case.

Plot

-The plot has some major differences. It is too long to explain in this post. Stafford's backstory and interactions are different than the original. You will notice this difference very quickly.

-The removal of certain OCs and the addition of the second Baratheon OC have altered the plot. Clearly. So be prepared for those differences.

-The way I wanted The War of Five Kings to resolve is much different.

-A complete rework of the Hand's Tournament Arc.

-The inclusion of Stafford's Lannister family members as active members of the plot.

-Stafford and Joffrey's relationship is more than just them hating of one another. It is much deeper than that now.

-Much more differences to be elaborated in the second (last) revision update
