Chapter 115, I choose you!

Lumiose City Date

It was just past noon when Yamaguchi and the others arrived in Lumiose City. Yamaguchi felt an odd wave of nostalgia wash over him as they walked down the street to the hotel they'd be staying the night in. The last time he was here in this City he and Tsukki had only just started their journey. Back then he barely knew what he wanted to do with himself and even though it wasn't such a long time ago since they were last here he felt like it had been ages. So much about himself had changed drastically.

"Hey, isn't that the cafe we first met you two at?" Hinata loudly shouted, looking behind himself at Yamaguchi. He smiled broadly as he did so, pointing to a cafe they were coming up on.

Yamaguchi looked to where Hinata was pointing to find a cafe that specialized in braised slowpoke tail. He had almost forgotten that the first time he'd ever talked to Hinata and the others had been here. He couldn't recall what he'd been eating at the time but he was certain it wasn't slowpoke tail.

"It was the other side of the city where you cursed us with your friendship," Tsukishima flatly replied.

Hinata glared back at Tsukishima. "I wasn't talking to you."

"No fighting, children," Kuroo laughed in a light-hearted manner.

Hinata and Tsukishima exchanged dissatisfied looks with one another but dropped the argument there.

"I hear they are going to have a special light show at Prism Tower tonight," Yachi hummed as they followed behind the others. "It's to celebrate the end of summer."

"Wow, I can't believe summer is almost over," Yamaguchi sighed. "Sometimes it feels like Tsukki and I only just arrived in Kalos but it's been over five months."

"Just a few more weeks and we'll have been at this for half a year," Yachi laughed, agreeing with Yamaguchi.

"Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to get enough keys in time to make it to the final Master Class competition. April seems like it's far away but it really isn't," Yamaguchi felt a little anxious at the thought.

"At least you have 3 keys," Yachi deflated. "I still only have two. Who knows if I'll ever catch up."

"I'm sure you will," Yamaguchi insisted. "We both have to make it to the Master Class competition. It's a promise, right?"

"Right, there is no use getting all worried about it now," Yachi said, giving her cheeks a smack.

"I believe in you, Yachi," Yamaguchi nodded as he smiled at his friend.

"Hey, how about to reinvigorate ourselves, we go to that park where Tsukki and Hinata had that battle?" Yachi perked up. "Maybe going back to where we started will help give us another fresh start."

Yamaguchi thought for a moment. "Not such a bad idea," he agreed. Maybe doing so would also help him forget about his worries with Team Serpent. Back then he worried about simple things like winning gym battles and catching Pokemon. He missed those easy times.

It wasn't long before Yamaguchi and Tsukki found themselves in a small hotel room on the far end of Lumiose City. From their window, Yamaguchi could make out Prism Tower peeking over the tall buildings. The last time they were in Lumiose City they stayed at the Pokemon Center Hostel but with both his and Tsukki's recent wins in battle and showcases they were able to afford hotel rooms.

Yamaguchi's eyes wandered the city below as he looked out their window. Nothing looked familiar for they hadn't visited this end of the city the last time they came. Despite this he still felt quite nostalgic being here.

"I can't believe we've almost been in Kalos for half a year," Yamaguchi sighed. Sylveon gave a little trill from the bed. "Even you've grown so much in such a short amount of time," Yamaguchi smiled at his beloved pokemon.

Tsukishima made a low sort of grumble as he joined Yamaguchi at the window. He didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around his boyfriend, holding him close. He said nothing as he gazed out the window over Yamaguchi's shoulder.

Yamaguchi released a content sigh as he leaned into his boyfriend's chest. "Last time we were here I didn't even realize just how much I had fallen for you. We should go on a date tonight. Maybe go see the lights at Prism Tower? Luminous is so romantic after all."

"Sounds cliche to me," Tsukishima replied, doing his best to grimace. Yamaguchi released a small laugh that filled Tsukishima's chest with bubbles and a touch of lust.

"Oh come on. Sometimes cliche things can be fun," Yamaguchi laughed once more. If only he knew how much power his light hearted laughs had over Tsukishima.

"Whatever you say, Tadashi," Tsukishima mumbled, giving Yamaguchi's head a nuzzle.

Yamaguchi felt his heart nearly burst from his chest. Tsukki only ever got this sweet when he thought no one was looking. He wasn't sure if Tsukki was aware but he could see his soft loving reflection in the window. On top of that Tsukki had used his first name. He knew if he vocalized any of this Tsukki's would probably become embarrassed and their cuddle session would be over.

"I guess it's a date then," Yamaguchi said, his voice cracking at the swell of emotion in his chest. He allowed the wonderful feeling to swallow him up as he melted into Tsukki.

Tsukishima's arms relaxed, his hands lowering from around Yamaguchi chest to his waist. Yamaguchi felt himself relax for the first time in a few days as he almost collapsed against Tsukki. Who would have known just an embrace, loving touches and a few gentle words could swallow the two up. If it wasn't midday the two would definitely take this sweet moment to the bed.

Yamaguchi's chest nearly lept out of his heart when a loud knocking came from their hotel room door. He practically tore himself from Tsukki, slamming face first into the window. Sylveon leapt to her feet, rushing to his side. Tsukishima whipped around, his calm expression now replaced with annoyance.

"Are you two ready to go or what!?" Hinata shouted from the other side of the door. The two could hear him trying to open the locked door.

"Hinata, stop that," Yachi's muffled voice came soon after.

Yamaguchi stumbled to his feet. He nearly tripped twice on his way to the door. "S-Sorry," he stuttered as he unlocked the door to let them in.

At this point Tsukishima was pouting in the far corner of the room. His cheeks were just as red as Yamaguchi's except he looked less embarrassed and more angry. This didn't go unnoticed by Kuroo.

"Did we disturb you two?" Kuroo teased, his voice practically purring.

"Shut up!" Tsukishima snapped.

"I take that as a yes," Kenma flatly replied.

"I-If you two are busy-" Yachi eeped, her cheeks pink.

"No, we were just resting, that's all," Yamaguchi insisted. All but Hinata knew this was likely a half truth.

"You two still want to join us at the park?" Kuroo asked. "I could understand if you two have other plans for the afternoon," he winked.

Yamaguchi went bright red. Yachi joined him, feeling quite embarrassed herself.

"Shut up!" Tsukishima snapped.

"I want to have a rematch with you!" Hinata piped in, pushing his way in front of Kuroo and pointing his finger at Tsukki.

"Feel like losing again today?" Tsukishima drawled. "Just like last time."

"This time I am going to win!" Hinata stomped his feet.

This didn't seem to encourage Tsukishima in any way whatsoever.

"We are ready to go now, too," Yamaguchi cut in before Tsukki could make another remark. "Right, Tsukki?"

"Whatever," Tsukishima shrugged.

The park was on the other side of the City. They walked part way and rode a small trolley for the rest. The air was fresh and not nearly as hot as the desert was. Last time they were here it was spring but now it was the tail end of summer. Still quite warm but not nearly as scorching as the middle of summer. It was the perfect weather to spend the day in the park.

It was clear to everyone that Hinata wasn't going to let Tsukishima get away without a battle. He harassed him about it the whole way to the park and cornered him until he finally relented. Kageyama once again took the place as the referee and the rest watched from the sidelines. Yamaguchi called out his team, aside from Mimikyu who wasn't ready for a crowd this big, to watch. Yachi followed suit calling out Bulbasaur, Floette, Dedenne and Mawile.

Yamaguchi figured it would be good for his team to watch more battles. They'd partaken in a lot more battle practice these past few months but it didn't hurt for them to see two seasoned trainers battle. Yamaguchi still wasn't the most keen on battling but he had definitely warmed up to it. With Sylveon in his lap and the rest of his team surrounding him they watched quietly.

So as to not waste the day away it had been decided that Tsukishima and Hinata would only use three Pokemon each. It was the only way Tsukishima even agreed to battle against Hinata. Tsukki had decided to rely on Greninja, Salazzle and Servine while Hinata chose to use Charmeleon, Raichu and Vaporeon. The battle was pretty basic. It was obvious Tsukishima still had the upper hand but Hinata's skill had jumped by miles since their original battle.

The first matchup was Raichi versus Greninja and despite the type advantage, Graninja's speed was what won the battle in the end. Next up was Salazzle versus Hinata's Vaporeon. Yamaguchi hadn't even been aware that Hinata had an Eevee let alone an evolved one. He made a mental note to ask him about it later. The battle between the two was fierce. Hinata's Vaporeon was way more aggressive than Sylveon had ever been. Despite all the hits it took from Salazzle it ended up winning in the end. Yamaguchi couldn't help but watch in awe at how tough the little Vaporeon had been. Even Sylveon seemed interested. The final matchup was between Hinata's Charmeleon and Tsukki's Servine.

"It's one to one now and I'm not going to let my momentum fall!" Hinata shouted as he called out Charmeleon. The fierce fire lizard looked ready to take down anyone in its path.

"They say people who talk big only do so to compensate for their weakness," Tsukishima taunted as Servine took the stage. She sent Hinata's Charmeleon a very pompous look.

"That's funny coming from someone who's constantly putting others down!" Hinata sneered.

This seemed to strike a nerve with Tsukishima.

"Don't let him get to you, Tsukki!" Yamaguchi shouted. He knew better than anyone how sensitive Tsukki would be when being teased by others.

"Shut up, Yamaguchi," Tsukishima drawled, most of his frustration focused more on Hinata than on his boyfriend.

The two Pokemon clashed as their trainers commanded them. Both Servine and Charmeleon seemed just as keen to show their strength as their trainers. Once again Tsukki was at a type disadvantage but it didn't seem to slow him down. He was smart and had gotten better at combating effective attacks. Maybe this was something he had practiced with Kuroo before.

Yamaguchi and the others cheered as the two Pokemon grappled. Fire and leaves filled the area as the battle intensified. It was when a lucky flamethrower made a direct hit with Servien that it happened. She was fast but not nearly as fast as Graninja had been. She hit the ground hard but lay for only a moment.

"Servine!" Yamaguchi yelled from the sideline. He couldn't help but feel worried. Grass was quite weak to fire. What if she was really hurt?

Tsukishima didn't seem to be shocked when Servine staggered back to her feet. She was scorched beyond all belief but just like her trainer, she wasn't going to lose to this Charmeleon. With a mighty cry Servine emitted a bright glow and in the blink of an eye Serperior stood in her place. The large grass snake stood tall as it looked down on Charmeleon. While Yamaguchi sat speechless with shock, Tsukki looked as if he knew this was going to happen.

With a mighty swing of its tail, Serperior sent Charmeleon flying. The poor fire type had been too off guard to defend itself. With Charmeleon knocked out, Kageyama reluctantly announced Tsukishima the winner.

Yamaguchi practically threw Sylveon to the floor in his rush to congratulate Tsukki. He planted a large wet kiss on his cheek that left Tsukki looking quite red.

"That's not fair!" Hinata pouted.

"There is nothing saying evolution mid battle is against the rule," Kageyama pointed out.

"Just a sore loser," Tsukishima shrugged.

"Am not!" Hinata stomped his foot before collecting himself. "I swear, Tsukishima, I am going to beat you someday!"

Tsukishima only shrugged as he tried to ignore just how intense and serious Hinata looked.

"That got me so excited!" Yachi cheered. "Maybe we can have a battle next, Yamaguchi?" she offered.

Just like Yamaguchi, Yachi wasn't one to challenge others to a battle. Yamaguchi wasn't as surprised as the others were as he was kind of feeling the same way as Yachi .

"Challenge accepted," Yamaguchi declared as he looked her in the eye. Yachi and he were good friends but the reality was she was probably one of his biggest rivals. She had been one of the first people he'd met here and they both seemed to be growing at the same rate after all.

Yamaguchi and Yachi wasted little time taking their place on the field. Yamaguchi called out Sylveon while Yachi called out Bulbasaur. Their battle was clunky and not nearly as intense as the previous battle. The two were showcase contestants after all and didn't really specialize in battles. Bulbasaur and Sylveon clashed in a very light hearted more playful manner. Their battle didn't end with nearly the bang that Hinata and Tsukki's had but in the end Sylveon did have the upper edge. Perhaps it was because she had been in more battles recently.

The rest of the afternoon went on in a similar manner. They battled one another, each taking turns on the field. It was much more lighthearted than when Hinata faced Tsukki and it didn't go unnoticed by Kuroo how actively Tsukki was avoiding Kageyama. By the end of it Yamaguchi felt like his team had gained something from the afternoon. Perhaps battles were something he wouldn't actively avoid so much now.

As dinner rolled around Yamaguchi and Tsukisima branched off from the others. Knowing Sylveon wouldn't want to be put in her ball he had asked Yachi to watch her for the night. He loved Sylveon with all his heart but tonight he wanted it to be about Tsukki and himself. He wouldn't be able to love Tsukki openly if Sylveon was watching his every move.

"Sorry guys, we have date plans," Yamaguchi proudly declared when Hinata asked why they were leaving.

"Ew, gross!" Hinata crunched up his nose upon hearing this. "I still don't see why you'd date such a salty guy!"

"Tsukki can be quite sweet once he warms up to you," Yamaguchi giggled, giving Tsukki's cheek a quick peck.

"Shut up, Yamaguchi!" Tsukishima mumbled, going bright red.

"Sorry, Tsukki!"

"Well, you two kids don't be out too late. We are heading to Anistar City tomorrow afterall," Kuroo tested, trying to sound like a parent sending their child off on their first date. "Don't get too rough with him tonight, Tsuki. He needs to be able to walk tomorrow," he added with a wink.

Yamaguchi went bright red as Tsukki took a swing at Kuroo and missed.

"This is why I can't take you places," Kenma sighed as he dragged Kuroo away.

"We will see you two bright and early tomorrow morning," Yachi said, her cheeks a bit pink from Kuroo's comment.

"You be a good girl, Sylveon," Yamaguchi said as he waved them goodbye. All the while Tsukki stood beside him grumbling about how annoying Kuroo could be.

"I swear if they are at Prism Tower I'm going to lose it," Tsukishima grumbled as Yamaguchi led him down the street.

"Yachi said they were going to spend the evening in the hotel," Yamaguchi reassured. "Apparently Kenma had been developing a game and wants Hinata to try it out."

"A game? Like a board game?" Tsukishima asked, looking quite taken aback.

"No, it's more like a video game," Yamguchi explained. "I don't really know what it's about but apparently he's been using some of the data from Musharna in it as well."

"Did he get your consent to do that?" Tsukishima frowned. He didn't like the idea of someone using his boyfriend like that.

"It's my way of paying him back for helping us," Yamaguchi nodded. He did find it a little strange and he wasn't quite sure what the information was for but Kenma reassured he was mostly studying the relationship of Mushama's ability to eat dreams and less what the dreams were about.

The two made their way to the tower. Yamaguchi wasn't shy about holding Tsukki's hand as they went. The feeling of his hand in Tsukki's filled him with excitement. It had been ages since he was able to be 100% alone with Tsukki after all.

It was crowded around the Prism Tower. It seemed many couples must have had the same idea as he and Tsukki did. Much to Yamaguchi's surprise they were able to get a table at a full cafe due to the manager being a fan of his. The lady gushed over his last showcase and how she wished to see him perform live someday and even asked for his autograph. By the end of it Yamaguchi was so baffled he didn't know what to do or think.

Had he really skyrocketed in popularity since his last showcase? With the showcase pool becoming more narrow with key holders he guessed it made sense people would start to recognise him more. He wondered if this would just be a one time thing or if more people would start picking him out of the crowd the way they did to Oikawa or Sugawara. The thought both flattered him but worried him. If this random lady knew who he was then it was no wonder Team Serpent knew him by name too. He tried not to let the thought linger.

After dinner the two found a nice place to sit as they viewed the tower. Yamaguchi rested his head on Tsukki's shoulder as the tower lit up. Tsukki didn't seem quite as bothered by the PDA as he normally would be. Perhaps it was due to the sunsetting or perhaps it was because he knew how much they both needed to relax.

"This is simply amazing," Yamaguchi sighed as he laced his fingers with Tsukki's. He looked up at the towner. Before this tower had been nothing more than a cool structure but in the moment it was the most romantic thing he had ever seen. Being close to Tsukki could make any simple object seem more amazing in his eyes.

Tsukishima hummed in agreement. The tower wasn't what he found to be amazing though. His boyfriend was what caught his heart and wouldn't let it go. How badly he wanted to suck Yamaguchi lips off here and now but with the amount of people passing by he did what he could to hold it in. Soon enough they'd be back in their hotel room where he could touch Yamaguchi all he wanted.

Yamaguchi felt his worry melt away as he sat snuggled beside Tsukki. Despite all the dangers he'd been through, being here with Tsukki made it all worth staying around. He'd eventually find the right words to tell Tsukki what went down in the cave. He felt it was unfair to travel and date him and not let him know just how much danger they might actually be in but for tonight those thoughts weren't what occupied his mind.

The two had planned to be out to watch the fireworks but it seemed they both had the same thing on their mind. They wanted to be alone. It wasn't long before they headed back to their room. All Yamaguchi could think about was touching Tsukki, holding Tsukki and kissing Tsukki. Both boys were anxious to get to bed. They haphazardly kicked off their shoes as they stumbled into the room. Tsukishima didn't need an invitation to throw Yamaguchi onto the bed because he knew that's exactly what his boyfriend wanted.

Being picked up and tossed would have surprised Yamaguchi in the past but today he was only amazed at how Tsukishima was able to read his mind. Was he really that easy to read? The two were ready to start where they left off before being dragged away that afternoon. Yamaguchi wasn't shy about pulling Tsukishima down upon himself and engaging in a wet sloppy passionate kiss. Tsukishima's hands found their way under Yamguchi's shirt. His long slender fingers raked gently across Yamaguchi's hot skin as they sucked each other's lips off.

The two became tangled in one another as they passionately made out. Before long shirts were off and pants thrown to the furthest reaches of the room. For the first time in a long time Yamaguchi's mind was mostly blank, only being occupied by the man on top of him. His fear, frustration and anxiety had been ruling him for the longest time but with each kiss he and Tsukishima exchanged and every contact their bodies made with one another they melted away.

****I will put a romantic warning here for those who may be sensitive to it*****

"T-Tsukki," Yamaguchi gasped as Tsukki's hand made its way to his underwear's waistband. They had never been this intimate before.

"I'll stop if you want me to," Tsukki's husky voice replied, his fingers brushing across Yamaguchi's hips.

"N-No. Don't s-stop," Yamaguchi replied, looking through the dark at his boyfriend. He was hard and would want nothing more than for Tsukki to take care of him.

Tsukishima smiled upon hearing this. He was excited to bring pleasure to his dear boyfriend but he didn't want to rush things.

Yamaguchi made one of the most lustful sounds Tsukkishima had ever heard the moment he went forth with pleasuring him. Yamaguchi felt himself lose control at the touch of Tsukishima's large hand. The way Tsukki touched him filled him with a warmth and a pleasure he'd never felt before. He wasn't used to such an act so it wasn't long before he reached his climax.

"Tsukki," Yamaguchi cried as he panted beneath his boyfriend. "That was… Amazing."

Tsukishima replied by taking Yamaguchi into his lap and leaving a large red hickey on his neck. Yamaguchi grinded his hips against Tsukki's. Tsukki's lips sucked feverishly on his neck. Yamaguchi was dizzy with lust and didn't hesitate to leave a mark of his own on Tsukki.

Before long the two lay tangled in bed, an exhausted but satisfied mess. Yamaguchi's naked body held Tsukki close. His head lay against Tsukishima's bare chest. He relaxed to the sound of his lover's heart beat. One of Tsukishima's arms wound around Yamaguchi, securing him close. His free hand gently massaged Yamagchi's back.

Neither of them had planned for such a passionate night but both felt relieved and comforted by the moment they just had. They felt closer than ever before and in Yamaguchi's case he felt a sense of security that wasn't there before. He felt grounded and connected to the moment. He hadn't felt this way in quite a while.

Yamaguchi was now relaxed to the point he could barely keep his eyes open. He was a sticky mess and he knew he needed to clean himself up but at the same time he couldn't find the drive to remove himself from Tsukishima's chest. He knew this moment couldn't last forever but was also happy to know they could have another one just as intimate, if not more, whenever they felt like it. With a smile on his face he relaxed against his lover.

Author Note:

Hey guys. Oh my, that was more steamy than I meant for it to be but it was about time we gave these two some romantic time. It only took 115 chapters for their clothes to come off.
